I have a pair of Beats Studio 3, and I the noise cancelling on the Sony XM4 are far superior. I think I the overall sound quality is better. The battery life is brilliant and functions are great. Admittedly I only use this for my gym workouts hence why I was keen on something with great active noise cancelling. Quality of life things are done very well with this. Such as automatic Bluetooth connectivity when powered on. The auto switch off function, and the app. Would highly recommend! My partner has the XM5 and honestly I couldn’t tell the difference in terms of sound quality. The XM5 in my opinion look cooler, but functionally they are the same. So if price isn’t an issue for you, get the XM5… otherwise stick with these bad boys. 9 people found this helpful

I was incredibly skeptical about just how so many people were saying these were amazing active noise cancelling headphones, as i’ve had some underwhelming experiences in the past with some noise isolating products. However, considering i’m above a business with a range of noises going on outside, i decided to buy these and give them a go. I was pleasantly surprised to see just how much these block out noise. Impact noise can travel quite alot, especially living in a flat, but these pretty much block out everything. It would have to be a very loud bang for it to break through, and even then it’s muffled. The battery life could be a bit better, but they still last you a good few hours before charging. The sound quality is great, you can watch shows, sports with very little distractions. It’s not like you have to play music alot to drown out the noises, cause barely anything gets through. Comfortability is good, but can ware on your ears after a couple of hours or so. Nonetheless, these are 100% worth the money, and made my life easier. 23 people found this helpful

These Sony headphones offer impressive sound quality and are easy to set up, making them a great value for the price. The battery life is excellent, lasting several weeks on a single charge, and the headphones fold into a compact case, which is handy for saving space. However, getting used to folding them correctly can be a bit of a challenge, especially when in a rush. The ambient sound control feature is somewhat inconsistent; it sometimes effectively blocks out noise, such as when a train is approaching, but at other times it doesn’t seem to work as well. The noise-cancelling feature, while decent, isn’t perfect—you can still hear people speaking nearby, though it does a good job in noisier environments like trains or planes. Comfort is another area where these headphones fall short, as they tend to become uncomfortable and make my ears sweaty after about 45 minutes of use. If you’re planning to wear headphones for extended periods, these might not be the best option. The touch controls on the right over ear piece, which allow you to pause, skip songs, and adjust the volume, are also a bit finicky; it’s easy to miss the right spot, leading to accidental pauses instead of skipping tracks. Despite these minor issues, I’m satisfied with the purchase, and the headphones have become a regular part of my routine. If you’re looking for reliable, affordable headphones with good sound quality and can overlook some of the ergonomic and functional quirks, these are a solid choice. 8 people found this helpful

Everyone in the family now owns a pair of these. They are easy to use, the fit moulds to your ears (I know if I’ve put my kids on), battery life is excellent and they are excellent value now. I got them when they first came out, they are still in excellent condition so very durable. My kid loves these ones. 7 people found this helpful

Was in two minds whether to get these. They were a lot of money (for me) and could they possibly be worth it? I needn’t have worried. What a fantastic pair of headphones. Comfortable, have plenty of battery time and the noise cancelling made even the noise of a 12-hour night flight disappear to a whisper. If you’re considering getting some noise cancelling headphones, I can’t recommend these highly enough. You get what you pay for – and here, it’s a price well worth paying. 5 people found this helpful

Stylish headphones that come in a decent case with accessories. Lightweight, comfortable with very effective noise cancellation. App could be better but I am not overly bothered by that. And apparently “Made in Malaysia”, not China (if that’s to be believed!)
