When I first got this I was a little disappointed with the autofocus, but the firmware update to lens has made a big difference. The picture quality is superb, it is nice and compact, meaning it get out and used more often. Everything about it feels reassuringly sturdy and well built. The battery life is very impressive. Built in vLog is very appreciated and the ability to use as a web cam without a capture card has totally upped my zoom calls. The remote app can be frustrating to get linked up and working, but once it is, it is useful and stable. Audio quality is good enough. It is a shame that some of the audio features from the G100 did not carry into the GH5M2 I am using with 250mb/s Lexar 1667x SD xc2 cards. They are more than capable of 4K 50fps 10 bit vLog. Okay so first of all i bought this camera falling recommendations from a videographer friend and i was disappointed. The camera is great for both photos and video, giving a nice rich image with a range of in built features to play with too. I have upgraded the lens, due to my intended purpose, however i believe you would be pretty happy with the included lens too. My only compliant, along with many others, is the auto-focus. This is something that is severely lacking on Panasonic models, being slow to adjust and switching when unwanted. You tend to find you are better sticking with manual focus (which isn’t ideal). All in all i would still recommend the GH5 and am now looking at the Panasonic HC-X2 to partner with it and maintain consistent profiles. This was one of the more nervous purchases I have made . I bought it for video and I expected it to deliver that very well. I was not disappointed , the image quality is very good and the camera very intuitive to use. The video autofocus is not as snappy as my Olympus EM1 mkiii, but knowing that also made me adjust my approach and the occasional hunting or pulsing has not been an issue in real world shoots. I have also been using for stills and it’s a fantastic stills camera, the AF is lightning fast and the images have pleasing colours and almost a filmic look. What I don’t like is the hand grip. It is not as comfortable as the em1 3. However I have no hesitation recommending this camera , it is much better than many so called YouTube influencers would have you believe 3 people found this helpful

Had this phone for a couple of weeks now. Held back on the review though. Just wanted to confirm a few things first. I took a bit of a risk buying this phone. I had no idea what the condition of the phone was going to be or if it would work on my network here in the uk. Buck i lucked out with this one. When i got it and checked the invoice, under condition it said “new”. I thought it can’t be a new phone. Maybe some mistake on the invoice? Mabye they meant like new? But when i unwrapped the actual phone it was in pristine condition. It certainly looked new. So knowing a trick that would indicate if it was new or not, i put my sim in and went through the initial phone setup. As soon as the phone was setup, i checked the android version. It was still on the original android 10. So no one has upgraded this phone at any point. I had to upgrade it to android 12 myself. That’s a good indicator that this phone is either new or barely used. This phone is amazing. For a start it’s not the 4g 8gb version. This is the 5g 12gb version. So plenty of ram and trust me if your playing emulators and games that extra 4gb of ram comes in very handy. The battery life in mines is fantastic. I’m getting around 1-2 days worth from every charge, depending how heavy i use it. While im on the subject of charging, this phone has 25watt charging support. So i got an official samsung 25watt charger from here on Gadget Tree. Only cost £25. This charger charges the phone fast as hell. The phone has a large battery. A lot of capacity. Yet the charger i bought charges the phone from around 10% to 100% in 30 minutes. It’s honestly that fast with the right charger. To my surprise i figured out this phone is also a dual sim phone. I didn’t realise that when i bought it so it was a nice bonus to see it has 2 imei numbers. My only complaint about this phone. And its a problem with the phone itself, not the seller. You can’t do 1440p and 120hz at the same time. You can either do 1440p @ 60hz or 1080p @ 120hz. I prefer the look of 1440p so im stuck with 60 frames per second. I know samsung did this to preserve battery life but the battery in this phone would cope with it. 13 people found this helpful

I only shoot film/video and already own a GH5 plus a GH5S. I decided to purchase the GH5 Mk2 knowing full well that the GH6 was due to launch. I still may purchase a GH6 later this year after it starts shipping but at the time of purchase I felt my current GH5 was beginning to look a bit battered from 5 years of fairly heavy pro use and so I bought the GH5 Mk2, as a sort of replacement to my GH5 (but still keeping my original GH5 in my kit bag as a backup or bringing it out when a 3rd camera angle is required). I can honestly say the GH5 Mk2 really feels like an excellent upgrade to the GH5. The autofocus is definitely improved but personally, like with any camera, I like to use a mixture of both auto and manual focus depending on the situation anyway. The stabilisation really is superb and for the first time ever, I completed a full days shooting without using my monopod once! I was particularly pleased that they have solved the ‘sticky’ stabilisation issue too, which seemed to happen when panning. Something that really bugged me with the GH5. In terms of ISO, I wasn’t really expecting much improvement but I am very pleasantly surprised. When shooting with my original GH5, I would NEVER shoot above ISO 1600 but with the GH5Mk2 I found I was able to push it up to as high as ISO 4000 with awesome picture quality and practically no noise. This is even in 8BIT FHD. Even with my GH5S I rarely push it beyond ISO 6400 so I am super impressed. The price point also makes this camera a superb machine. Plus I absolutely love the ecosystem of Micro Four Thirds lenses which make it super portable. 6 people found this helpful

I’ve used the original GH5 still going strong since 2017 and thought it was time to update. I considered the GH6 but decided to go with GH5ii. This is a superb camera for hybrid content creating and the features and performance you get for the price make this the best value camera you can buy IMO. You get professional video quality and features and the stills photograph quality is excellent. Main improvements over the GH5 – Colours are improved, you now get the latest Lumix colour science. IBIS is much better, it was good before but now it’s really excellent for handheld video and longer exposure stills. AF is much snappier and the overall operation of the camera is faster. You get 10bit up to 4K60p now. Low light video is improved, I haven’t thoroughly tested it yet but ISO3200 is very clean. USB-C charging and power delivery. Accuracy and brightness of the screen and EVF is improved. You can use camera as a USB webcam/streaming. You get the latest Lumix menu and UI. I’m sure there’s more but those are the points that occurred to me. Now let’s talk sensor size, this is a m43 sensor so you aren’t going to get the crazy low light of a full frame sensor but with a f1.8 prime you can shoot in low light and get excellent results. I’ve worked professionally with GH cameras for 5 years and never needed better image quality. The stills quality is excellent and much underrated. I also have full frame cameras and I don’t feel I’m missing anything with GH5ii image quality. Of course the full frame camera will give cleaner ultra high ISO but other factors like depth of field and image stabilisation must be considered in comparison. When it gets dark I use a f1.8 or f1.4 prime and I’ve always got excellent results and you can drop the shutter speed very low because of the excellent GH5ii IBIS. But if you’re looking for the ultimate low light indoor sports camera you’d be better with full frame. Autofocus is very good and Single-AF is instantaneous but the Continuous-AF is not the best, it’s useable within its limitations but it doesn’t have the foolproof C-AF of the latest Sony cameras. But if you know what you’re doing and use a mixture of C-AF and S-AF and MF you can get excellent results. And let’s not forget this camera is a fraction of the price of the Sony A74 which is the next Sony camera with comparable video quality IMO. Compact and high quality lenses is the selling point of the m43 system. My full GH5ii kit and lenses fits into a small sling bag and you can’t do that with any other system, I’ve tried. With all cameras you need to know what you’re doing and know your gear to get the best out of the tools you use. I haven’t even scratched the surface of what the GH5ii is capable of, but just to say GH5ii offers excellent image quality and professional features in a small and affordable camera. For what the GH5ii does it does it very well indeed and I’m extremely happy with it. 15 people found this helpful
