The adapter is absolutely great, works with every lens it said it would work with… obviously the older lenses which don’t have their own focus motor… will not work, but the ones with their own focus motor.. the adapter works. I also don’t really appreciate its price, I thought that it’s a bit expensive and I’m sure they manufactured it for less than what they sell it for…. but I also didn’t want to make compromises with third party adapters in case with those there would be more compatibility issues… Overall I like the adapter, works as it should, and the pictures I take with it using the old lenses, are great. 5 people found this helpful

I bought this to be able to use lenses I had on a D3200 on a Zfc. This is a really good additional to my kit because I can continue to use the (reasonably expensive to replace) lenses I have in my camera bag. The only reason I’ve not done this as 5-star is because I find it quite tough to release from the lens and the camera body. I’ve also noticed that on my 50-300mm lens that sometimes the viewfinder of the Zfc shows totally black, and it only seems to do it when I use my old lenses, so it makes me think it isn’t quite perfectly compatible. Overall, I would recommend if only to ensure there is no need to replace lenses. One person found this helpful

The product comes inside a cardboard box; once opened, you’ll see the product itself and some paper. This product works perfectly on my Nikon Z50, with my old AF-S lenses – I particularly love using the 40mm Micro lens with my new camera, it works perfectly and is very high quality. It lets me use autofocus on the new camera, too; very practical and helpful. Note – this product said “lens not recognised” when I first tested it. If you see this, you need to update the software on your camera. 100% recommend this product, extremely useful bit of kit One person found this helpful

A shockingly big outlay for what is basically a tube with some electrical contacts and I presume a wee chip inside to interface F mount electronics with Z mount. But that aside, works well with the one F mount Full Frame lens I have. No optical issues, focus is a bit slower than with a native Z mount lens but that’s probably as much the lens as the adapter. And no cumbersome tripod fitting to deal with so handling is pretty good. 5 people found this helpful

I bought this adapter having recently purchased a Nikon Z fc. I already have a few Nikon F mount lenses and I wanted to use them on the new Z mount camera. The FTZII does exactly that, maintaining AF for all lenses from AF-S and newer. The fit is reassuringly tight and the lenses work perfectly. I have some AF-D lenses where the AF does not work, but that’s fine. They manually focus beautifully. My AF-S work like a dream with no loss of speed or image quality. The finish is superb (not surprisingly from Nikon) and it complements both lenses and camera. I would definitely recommend the FTZII over the FTZ, purely because it does not have the tripod mount to get in the way of mounting a base plate on the camera. It also looks so much better!! Yes, it’s expensive for what it is, but it’s a quality Nikon item, that serves to extend the life of your F mount lenses as you venture into the new world of the Nikon Z mount.
