October 2024 An excellent hob to be introduced to induction cooking. It’s very controllable and the fan is quiet. It will be used while a new kitchen is fitted, the on the boat and in the caravan. Best choice of units on the market. One person found this helpful

October 2024 Wide range of Power and Timer settings in this compact and slim induction unit. Purchased to take advantage of Solar power in place of gas hob for long-cook dishes. Easy clean surface. Works well and reliable. A good purchase. 2 people found this helpful

Had a cheaper one before and was sick of the lack of control at lower temperatures (1000w for 1s, off for 3s) which would ruin rice. Lowest continuous power of this one is 660w and the pulse for lesser powers seems more regular. Also, temperature control option is pretty accurate. If used with a decent, thick-based pan then all good! Photo is from a 32cm pan. Too big for it really. Smaller pans distribute the heat much better. All the usual benefits of induction, obviously. I wouldn’t call this neat – it’s quite substantial compared to the last one I had – but it is tons better. Previously I’ve had problems sustaining a low, even heat for sauces etc, as food would heat up too high during the pulses. Well one of the first tests for this was slow cooked porridge. I used the power setting rather than the temperature one and achieved the perfect porridge with no sticking or burning. But it will also boil quickly if that’s what you want. So far – a big thumbs up from me!

This is an excellent portable cooking hob. With appropriate cookware the heating is quick and even. The temperature control takes a little getting used to, it reads the temperature under the glass, not the pan itself (obviously). However, once this is got used to (with a relatively thin bottom to the pan the response time to any adjustments are readily observable, as is the evenness of heating across the pan base) the stability is excellent. Gentle simmering at 110°C preset, steady boiling at 120°C preset, both remain constant and, with the built-in timer, accurate preparation requirements can be set and left. I have used it for boiling, gentle simmering and frying (I would NOT use it for sous vide, temperature control is too remote). I have used both gas and several versions of electric hobs in the past. This appears to combine the best attributes of both, and adds temperature and time control. What is there not to like, so long as one has the right sort of ferrous bottomed cookware (magnet sticks to the pan bottom). I particularly appreciated the 20 levels of power/temperature control, most other, cheaper, ones have 10 or 15 and less power than the 2.1Kw. While this might be adequate I played safe with a first-time purchase. So far I have had no regrets! I would highly recommend this to anyone to whom it might be useful, possibly as a worktop adjunct to an existing, conventional, hob of any type. 19 people found this helpful

February 2025 Excellent product use the item to boil water but trade time to boil. So does the job on a low setting and therefore able to use off grid
