I was going based off the reviews at first and had my doubts but I took a shot at this anyway. WoW This has definitely elevated my action shots. Definitely a great deal over the Sony.

I live under dark skies so I like to experiment with night photography in that I own a inexpensive Omegon tracker and can increase my exposure times. The Swan Nebula and moon are shot at 300mm. The other 2, at 70mm. Im still learning how to optimize but am pleased with the results. I know an APOD isnt forthcoming but you can have fun with it if you acquire a cheap tracker. As all the reviews agree, this lens is excellent quality for use during normal daytime conditions with excellent clarity, especially for the price.

The lens is a Great lens for the price but it is definitely not the best. Used with AR7III the Auto Focus is somewhat slow as others have stated. The zoom rotation is somewhat tight and not as fluid as other zoom lens but the lens is a solid built lens with very good optics as long as you do not need to use for fast autofocus such as withsports the lens is a great addition but better for landscape and wildlife capture. If Tamron could address the focus speed they would have an allaround winner For the price it is a great lens but know it does have its limitations.

I purchsed this lens to take me from my Kit Lens to the long shots. I have not had a lot of time to work with it but from what I have seen so far it really fills the bill. I do mostly landscapesnaturearchitectual shots. It will me nice to have what I consider a full range of coverage. I was pleasantly pleased with the few shots that I did take and am anxiously looking forward to a decent field trip to really give it a shake down.

Its been about a month. Playtime to find the lens is what most reviewers claim after more careful examination than mine. A good lens and a good value. Im an 85 yearold higher end amateur. Carrying the lens all day attached to either my Sony A7II or A7III, most often strapped to my wrist, was not a chore. I wanted the 300mm and was happily surprised by the modest, even low light capability. At 85 I am not a tripod and purposely didnt use a tripod. The cameras stabilization did the trick as many pros have written. Focus was fast and spot on for my needs. Perfection center to edges is an unrealistic expectation at this price point, but my eyes were satisfied. My guess is a pro might need more, but will likely be able to afford higher end alternatives, though comparisons to the Sony version indicated they were equal with the Tamron a nose ahead in some fine categories. A month in Europe will tell me a lot more.

My experience with this lens on a Sony A7ii has been pretty impressive. The lens has excellent image quality for the most part with the images taken at the lower range being just a little poorer than those at the long end. Overall very good IQ, sharpness and contrast. I like the colors out of this lens. There is a slight pin cushion effect at 300mm but very little vignette. Focus is pretty fast and smooth but slows down at the long end in poor light. Eye AF works well. Although the lens is not stabilized the Sony IBS really makes it a nonissue for me. Im very happy with it, especially at the price point

This lens is very light and is weather sealed. Its ideal for outdoors daytime photos. As the aperture is limited to 5.56.3 indoor usage for average or low light situations is not ideal.ProsIts very light for a 70300 zoomsIts got some weather sealingGreat focusing with the Sony bodiesIt not super expensive67mm ring and in body firmware updates are great perks if you are invested in Tamron lenses.ConsIt has no in built optical stabilization, but works ok with current generation A7 and A9 series cameras as they have built in stabilization.Aperture limits the background blur that you can get it with a f2.8 but size will ensure that you bring this way more often that that bulky lens anyway.

Fijne en betaalbare zoomlens voor full frame camera. Maakt heel mooie opnamen en heeft een prachtig zoombereik. Aanrader voor iemand met een beperkt budget.

Ive been waiting a long time for a solid telephoto zoom that was light enough for my 73 year young body. No disappointment here. I would have liked OSS yet so far my hand is not shaking as much. The focus is spot on. Great price use it on my Sony a6500.

Lens is very sharp Lacking the IS I am relying on my camera for stabilization which does ok. Camera is usually on a tripod anyway, so not a big deal for me as its mostly for landscape photography. At this price point Id say its impossible to beat it for what you get.I was a little bummed with the expedited shipping. Received the lens in a week as it took 3 days to process and then sat at the delivery services warehouse for 2 additional days and THEN is the 2 day shipping. Just so youre aware.

This lens surpassed my expectations. When walking around with it, it is lightweight enough that I dont pay attention to it. 300mm reach is superb for the form factor. And the sharpness, particularly in the center, which is the area that matters for me, is superb. It is a joy to shoot with.

Habe das Objektiv an meine Sony dran getan und alles hat super Funktioniert. Die Bildschrfe konnte ich noch nicht ausfhrlich testen, aber in der Mitte bis 80 zum Rand ist es auch offenblendig scharf.

Used with my Sony a6500. Image is sharp at 300mm. I have no complaints with the aperture as I usually shoot in brighter settings. The lack of image stabilization is very noticeable in the viewfinder, but the incamera stabilization still works great with this lens and produces excellent, crisp photos.

For reference I am using this with a Sony A7R ii.For 500 its pretty hard to beat the quality of this lens. It is mostly plastic, but it feels solid and is weather sealed too. I took it out to take pictures of wildlife and was pleased by its focusing speed and image quality despite having smaller f stops. The days were nice and sunny, which works well with this lens. I havent tested low light performance but I am assuming youll need a fairly low shutter speed or iso bump.Overall great lens for 500 on sale, I recommend to anyone not wanting to drop a thousand or more on a comparable focal length.

I have a Sony a7RIII, which I love, and which has 5way image stabilization, which lets me shoot at least to 125 second, sometimes even a bit slower. While the Sony lenses have OSS additional image stabilization, I really love the pricepoint on the Tamron lenses, and now have a set of three to cover 24mm300mm. I find I can live handily without the additional OSS, and I find the Tamron lenses bettermade, more rugged and they come with a 5year warranty I dont see a need to buy a Sony lens, unless theres a prime I really want. VERY happy with the sharpness of the Tamrons.

This is a good lens. It is very sharp, it focuses accurately, quietly and quickly and its lightweight. For all intents and purposes, this lens acts exactly the same as a native Sony lens. Its a little strange not having any switches or buttons on a zoom lens but its not really limiting. The lack of stabilization isnt an issue. I bought this lens without big expectations, to be totally honest, just for the price. Lens arrived in perfect condition. At the first inspection, I noticed the lens hood is prone to fall off the lens, so I am somewhat worried if I have to use it somewhere near water or bridges. The lens is fast focusing and it is sharp, I found is perfect for birds in flight, as long as the light is good, but if you want to shoot at night, this is not a lens for you, I would go for at least a f2.8 for that. I also used the lens for occasional street photography to photograph aggressive urban animals unsafe to approach with a small lens.

I was just hoping for a decent zoom lens that had a long reach, but this has been a much higher quality lens than I expected. It looks great, and having it compatible with my Sony A6600s auto focus, it makes getting some of the most impossible shots that much easier. I think my only concern is durability, but I have no idea how flimsy it might be. All I can say is that its very light for such a large zoom lens, so I dont know how well it will hold together under any stress.

Hallo zusammen. Also. was kann ich sagen Nur Tolle Zoom.
