Coming from an A7iv I was looking for a smaller body with similar performance – I’m happy to report that this does everything my A7iv did and then some. Positives: – Autofocus is exceptional, it’s hard to miss a shot – Ergonomics are wonderful and so pleasurable to use – Front dial is a great addition compared to the a7c – Image quality is identical to a7iv – Grip texture is improved compared to a7c Negatives – Screen and EVF are fine but would love to see them higher res in a future version If you’re looking for a camera with stunning image quality and incredibly reliable autofocus then look no further. I find this camera much more fun to shoot than my a7iv and it’s given me a refreshed interest in photography. 30 people found this helpful

If you’re looking for a compact full frame camera, this is the best you can get. With almost identical dimensions to the Sony a6700 APSC camera, in hand they’re almost indistinguishable. Packed with features like the ai autofocus you can’t go wrong. However if you plan on predominantly using larger full frame lenses and telephoto lenses, the larger body of the traditional a7iv would feel more balanced and comfortable in hand. Surprisingly, the a6700 with the smaller apsc glass has a larger more comfortable grip than this compact full frame with larger glass so would recommend buying if you will use prime or compact lenses 13 people found this helpful
