To start, Im no expert or video pro.Bought this after realizing that my regular Rode microphone would not work on my Nikon Z50 when attached to my Weebill S Gimble. Not enough clearance when going to the low Slung mode. Works great right out of the box. Didnt come with much in the quick start guide. Basically, charge them up and turn them on. They connect quickly. The builtin mic works great. I have also used my sony lavalier mic plugged in and have had no issues. They include 2 dead cats, a connection wire, and a case. Im very happy with my purchase.

These are incredible. After years of using many other brands I decided to rent a set of these for a shoot. After the first day I knew I needed my own 14 days of filming in very very loud indoor environments without any troubles. I would recommend these to anyone who has wireless audio needs.
LarryD –
These little guys are powerful, im so impressed with this purchase. I used them for content creation, using my cell phone as my primary camera. Being wireless, they allow for so much variety in your setups. You can also add another transmitter and the receiver will pick up both making these a good option for interviews. They hold a charge well…I can go on and on. Would recommend, would buy again.

Wireless mics, they are a lot of trouble and we cant live without them. The new Rode Wireless Go is a game changing step for run and gun and serious videographers. The reviews on Youtube tell the story so here are a few personal observations. They sound great. The built in mic on the transmitter is decent and perfect for a quick clip it on your talent and go. They are so small I am worried I am going to lose them. Get the Rode or knock off TRS to TRRS connector if you plan to use with the iPhone or iPad.The range tests dont matter to me. I am seldom more than 15 ft from the talent. Biggest possible gotcha, RF interference. The JK44 Lav would not work, too much interference but the JK Cardioid had no issues. A cheap Lav I had worked fine. The clip is somewhat fragile find a good spot on camera to mount the receiver that wont put too much stress on the clip. My clip popped out on one side but I eased it back into place.I LOVE the Wireless Go. Highly recommended.
Beata –
Easy to use, great sound but its sexist. I assumed this thing was lightweight enough for clothes but its not compatible with most of my Florida closet. Definitely made for mens clothing. If youre a woman prepare to attach it to ugly overalls, jackets, sweatshirts, some low cut shirts, or just wear a bra and nothing else.

This is the goto external mic for the vlogger. I have used it on my Gopro and my phone with great success. I intend to try it out for Zoom meetings on my PC as well. One bad point is that the wind puff keeps falling off. It needs a better system to secure it to the mic. Otherwise a great product.
Bob –
This system is a dream for a traveling oneman band …small, efficient, and simple. But, and this is a rather big but, the transmitter is not well shielded against RF interference, and many mics will generate a high pitched whine that is impossible to work around. And it is not necessarily dependent on the quality of the lav…my most expensive lav, an Audio Technica, whines like heck. My mid range Giant Squid whines. A cheap lav I got for action cameras works fine but is not as good a mic as the other two.Be sure to test whatever lav you want to work with this thoroughly before taking it out into the field. If Rode could provide a data base of lav mics that will work with this, it would be great. It would also be great if they could work out something that would keep the wind muffs on the transmitter I understand that they are working on this. But, all in all, this is the simple, tiny, reliable wireless mic system that weve been waiting for.
Charles –
First the size, they are small compact and the fact that there is a built in microphone is a plus. Second the built in mic is clean very little background hiss. Third you can plug in. 3.5mm lav and use the wireless go as a mic pac and for that these work excellent, the transmitter hides on talent so easy its awesome. I like this better than my G3s. I have used them on 3 productions after having them for about 3 weeks. And I love it. I do wish the would have made the units a little bigger to accommodate a bigger battery. But they do last the advertised 7 hours. And for 200 buy a second and swap them out at lunch. Nice work RDE

Sound for the Rode Go is great by itself. Ive even used this mic system to plug into a boom box as sound for a conference lecture. Only problem, the look of the boxy microphone on your shirt creates a distraction when speaking. Plus, Rode could have kept their name off of the clip as it shows up loud and clear when doing HD videos. For some, it is a professional turnoff. There is, however, a work around for it, but it costs around 80, which is the Rode Go Lav mic, which I have also reviewed on Best Buy. The mic by itself is worth it and I think it enhances the sound quality of the Rode Go. Plus, it plugs into the Rode Go and gives one the traditional lav mic look with the desired sound.
David –
Its hard to believe that Rode packed a decentsounding transmitter into such a tiny package. This kit really is small. If you do mobile documentary and testimonial work like me, this is a huge plus, as it adds almost no room or weight to your bag. I do like that the unit features internal rechargeable batteries, which charge quickly via USBC, and the linking process is simple though for some reason, my kit wants to be relinked each time I turn it on which only takes about 30 seconds. The sound quality is good using the lav mic kit. My main kit is a Sennheiser AVX, and while the difference is noticeable, the Rode sounds fine in most situations. I do appreciate the adjustable output level on the receiver. The Sennheiser does a much better job with its automatic limiter, but for the price, having any sort of level adjustment on this kit is welcome. I find myself using the medium setting and lowering the camera input levels to 16dB in order to avoid any distortion. Read the output level on this can be a bit hot.Other little things, like the meters, battery indicators, and connection LEDs are very welcome, especially in something in this price range. All in all, I think you get a little more than you pay for here a solid transmitter, good sound, great features, and a VERY portable package for a fraction of the cost of comparable systems.
Ammos –
I have received 2 different packages containing Rode Wireless Go Compact microphone system… The product presentation is great, the specifications look outstanding, and at first look all seems OK… but alas, the rechargeable batteries particularly in the TX unit DO NOT CHARGE. The manufacturer needs to avail themselves of a better battery supplier in order to ensure their great design and good implementation is not D.O.A. Too bad
DC55 –
Great microphone I use it for teaching yoga outside and virtually. You do need extra pieces though to make it work the best. You will need the SC7 cord for use with a laptop, camera, or smartphone. You will need a lavalier microphone and headset in order to use it best for fitness. It can be clipped to your shirt, but I have found it doesnt pick up sound as well without the headset.

The Rode Wireless Go microphone system is a great solution for vlogging and upping your game on YouTube and other platforms. One of the keys to great videos is great audio and this helps you get closer to that. The built in microphone on the transmitter is decent, although if you want the best sound and hide the fact that you are using a microphone, you will want to purchase a lapel mic with this not included. The LED display on the receiver is great to see where your levels are and keep track of signal strength. There is a reason why this is often the default choice for midlevel audio capture. Some of the cons would be that you can only pair one mic to one receiver. There are many other options out there that allow more than one mic to be connected to a single receiver. It is pricey for what it is. If you use the transmitter instead of a lapel mic it is pretty bulky and noticeable. So if you are using to capture audio for video, just know that your views will be able to see the mic.Sound quality is very good, but better with a separate mic. This is a great mic to use as a primary or secondary to up your videography and podcast game.

The wireless go took about 10 seconds to set up, turn on, and immediately start recording. The results it provided right out of the box with the onboard microphone were far better than what I was expecting especially at this price range. The sound quality with the sony a7s ii provided clear sound with great range and little to no noise to be heard. Designing the receiver clip to also double as the shoe adaptor was brilliant. It keeps the profile small and its one less thing I have to worry about. I will very likely be ordering a second one to record two person interviews. The only thing that would be nice is to include the 10 xlr adaptor with the kit but Im only saying that because I forgot to order it at the same time.

Each year, our church does VBS and we always have 5 or 6 actors on stage at once. We never have the budget to put a decent wireless lavalier on each actor and, thus, we always have problems hearing the actors during the drama. This little wireless system is amazing. I recorded some sample audio on my Sound Devices recorder using a Countryman E6, Countryman B6, and the builtin mic on the TX. Sounds amazing. The builtin mic is VERY good. Low noise floor, great omni pickup, clear. I find the middle sensitivity setting to be best. Extraordinary quality at this price point. When it comes to gear, I am the eternal skeptic. I thought these looked too good to be true when I first saw Rode promoting them. But I was not disappointed. If our primary Sennheiser wireless system were to fail, this would serve perfectly as a backup with our Countryman headset plugged in. This solution helped us save 2400 and we can now hear all of our actors on stage during dramas at our church. Product of the year in my opinion…
Charles –
Overall, I love my Wireless Go, it works pretty much as advertised. That means when they tell you it is a line of sight system they mean that it is a line of sight system and once you get beyond about 15 ft. without the transmitter and receiver being directly in the line of sight of each other it can begin dropping out.One other issue I have found is if the transmittermic is clipped on the inside of a loose collared Tshirt or in the pocket of a Tshirt clip out and you lean forward it can allow the microphone to flip to where it is pointing directly into your skin and muffle the microphone.Saving the best for last, I love the freedom this allows me compared to a wired lav or shotgun mic, I have one less thing to worry about in regards to my movements in relation to my microphone because I seldom venture more than the 15 ft. away from my camera as noted and I never lose contact with the receiver. No wires to worry about pulling the tripod over with and I dont have to worry about distance or my direction in relation to a shotgun mic. I love the freedom this has given me. Im a fanboy of the Rode Wireless Go

Bought this sound mic transmitterreceiver package to supplement another more elaborate sound system. Works great for impromptu live streaming on smartphone for example. Great addition. This thing is really tiny but packs power.
Jon –
I love this product. Ive used it with the build in mic, with a lav mic, with an XLR to 18 adapter cable to make a wired handheld microphone wireless, and with the same cable to output the feed from a sound board at a live event directly into my camera. It is as close as you can get to a perfect product without completely crossing the line. My only wish is that the it had a setting lower than the lowest one for microphone volume. I used it in a crowded environment with a DJ playing music and even the lowest setting was transmitting a clipped signal. Other than those extremely rare edge cases, this wireless system is phenomenal, and I highly recommend itI recorded this video using the built in microphone on the transmitterhttpsyoutu.bejr9WaEJyhTk

A great compact audio device for videographers on the go. Audio is crystal clear. The only problem that I had was with the dead cat windscreen. It easily comes off.RODE has a new replacement for it. I emailed the company and theyll be sending me a replacement soon.
Art –
Im a longtime pro stills shooter. Recently a good client asked me to shoot some simple video for them. I needed some wireless mics for decent audio but didnt want to invest in something highend that I might not use much. These were well reviewed so I thought Id try them out. Perfect Tiny and simple to use. I just got home an hour ago and the sound as I edit is remarkable. I will never fear using these on any job big or small. I bought a small lav mic to go with them and could not be happier.

I got this mic to run fitness classes online when the pandemic happened. Its small form factor is really great for any filming where you are active and need something wireless, it couldnt be much better in that way. However the sound quality on the mic is not the best compared to the Rode Link which I was using before this for example. That isnt really an issue though, an expected trade off for its size and functionality. What is a point of concern is that the power button on the transmitter started having issues only a couple months after purchasing it and now its a real challenge to get it to turn on or off which is not acceptable when you need this thing for work like I do. I have only used this indoors in my studio and always keep it in its case in my gear bag when not in use. Im waiting to see what my options are with getting it fixed, but I would caution anyone to look into this before buying. I have recommended this mic to two other people who have bought them and havent had the issue. Now with it happening as frequent as it is I wouldnt recommend it again. It takes maybe a dozen or so attempts before it turns on or off, dreading the day when it just stops entirely.

These mini transmitterreceiver devices are terrific for getting good quality audio straight out of the box. Attaching an even mediocre lapel mic makes the audio clearer and free of interference. A couple of notes when attaching the receiver to an iPhone, there was a delay of a few frames when recording at 30 fps. You will need to resync audio after recording. The deadcat cover for the built in microphone does snap on with some effort, but opening the clip on the transmitter to attach the microphone to a piece of clothing will immediately dislodge it. These are minor complaints compared to the ease of use and versatility of these devices.

I purchased the Rode Wireless Go Microphone System to improve sound for livestreaming with a cell phone. The system works great with virtually any video or audio recording app, as well as with the native video recording app on the iPhone. I dont know how this would work with an Android phone. It works like a charm and provides clear audio. Very basic input levels can be made on the unit to avoid clipping. My only criticism would be that the battery charge does not last as long as I would like when not in use. Otherwise, it accomplishes the task that I purchased it for. Essentially, it is plug and play. However, if using it to record via cell phone, be sure to purchase the TRS to TRSS patch cable SC7. It is unfortunate that this cable is not included with the microphone system itself and has to be purchased separately. Fortunately, the cable is only 15.
Alan –
The sound on this is great for me. It corrected the background noise issues I was having with all of my other mics. I originally bought several cheaper USB mics and a VideoMic GO CameraMount Shotgun Microphone, but I couldnt get rid of all of the background noise they picked up.I am a novice and have had to learn quickly, thrown into live video during the pandemic. I was considering acoustical treatment for the entire room, because I didnt know how to or if I even could adjust out the noise. The Wireless GO is worth every penny. SETTING IT TO 0dB SETTING ON THE RECEIVER IS THE KEY. I can run everything In the room now, including my air conditioner, 3 MacBooks with loud fans, 4 monitors, 2 cameras, ATEM Mini Pro, etc.I bought the kit that includes the Lavalier GO, and that makes it much easier to hide and use.
Peter –
Its the easiest wireless mic I have. Just plug them in and they work. I had to reduce the output level but thats it. I love being able to see the transmitters battery level on the receivers display. Thats a luxury feature my other wireless mic 3x the cost doesnt have. No interference during my first shoot that lasted 3 hours. The only thing I noticed is the audio is delayed a little. When I was setting this up I thought there was an echo turned out the live audio plus the delayed output of this mic made it sounded like an echo. When I played it back there is no echo.I also love how small the transmitter is. Its easy to hide and with a builtin mic as well. The item I received look like it wasnt well packaged. There were scratch marks on the device turned out the scratch marks were on the peeloff tape. But there are some dirt markings on the side and they dont peel off. The box was sealed so I dont know how the dirt markings got there.

Just bought and used for the first time last weekend. Filmed 3 days of a sled dog race. Ran around filming footage of the races and interviews with mushers and event coordinators. The built in mic sounds great and the little windbuster was handy on the windy days. Wish the windbuster stayed on a little better though. It was so much easier clipping this little mic on interview subjects quickly, instead of feeding and hiding microphone wires in shirts and jackets. I turned it off and on between interviews to save battery life and one charge lasted me all three days of filming. Its so nice and small too. Next filming is on an island and I have to travel by plane and any baggage over 20 pounds I have to pay by weight. Downsizing all my camera gear, even tiny little mics helps
Roger –
The bromide you get what you pay for applies here.Unfortunately, I bought two pairs of these and have had nothing but problems with both. Sometimes they work, sometimes they dont. Sometimes the signal is way too hot. Sometimes the signal looks fine on the receiver but no audio into camera tried with multiple cameras. Sometimes you connect two up to one camera and neither one works. But, most recently, they wont work with the SoundDevices MixPre3 II. Signal is way too low when their gain is maxed and the mixers gain and faders are maxed. UGHNow I feel stupid for purchasing these for pro purposes. Never cut corners sticking with my ole reliable Sennheisers.I gave it two starts because If I use one lav straight into camera it usually works.
peter –
First the good. Love the very small size and how easy this is to use. Now the not so good. The built in mic on the transmitter is not great quality and sounds a bit tinny or thin to my ears. The biggest problem I am having is when I plug in an external mic, the RF interference rejection is not good. With a lavalier mic clipped near your shirt collar with a decent length of cable I am hearing RF interference from the microphone even when the transmitter is clipped to your belt or in your pocket. The closer the mic is to the transmitter the worse the interference. Very disappointed in this.

First.., these are pricy.., second…, these are worth it.In the world of wireless audio, needing quality dialog but also needing speed and efficiency.., really, at the moment, this wireless go system gets all that rightI am an indie film maker with aspirations of greatness.., lol, really I love shooting video but my challenge has been taking it to the next level. Anybody knows if youre wantIn to step into the professional video production world, on any level, you need quality sound. In todays fast paste environment, especially for indie film makers, often we find ourselves short of hands and needing efficient, professional solutions to audio work. Rather it be talking heads or on set dialog while fighting ambient audio artifacts. This wireless go system is absolutely the answer to all that. They say you get what you pay for. Truly, but to take it to another level with this system. I work for a YouTube channel, and when I start they had purchased this 700 dollar wireless lapel system that just end up not working well at all. It would loose connection during important moments. When it lost connection we couldnt tell because it would look like it was still recording.Frustrated with this and the fact that the YouTube channel didnt want to make another purchase.., I took it on myself to do some research and then purchased two sets of these.Oh man.., night and day.Trust me.., its worth the investment.

I use this microphone system frequently and have not had any issues with it so far. I use it with my EOS R camera for a wireless microphone setup. I also use it with my RODECaster Pro podcast system. The battery lasts for quite a while and the display comes in very handy for checking audio levels. Another use that comes in handy is to use them backwards as a low latency wireless headphone system.
LOVEELECTRONICS69 –
I purchased many wired microphones and they go bad after a few months. 30 to 40 a piece, I wanted to invest in something that is wireless and that to last for a long time. All the wireless mics were over 300 and were really big. Well out of my range. Until I saw videos on this wireless microphone , I didnt even know it existed. Price the only 200, with a brand name behind it I couldnt resist. I had too many comments that my viewers could see my microphone. Well duh, I didnt even attempt to hide it but now I can. Its well worth the money The only problem I have with it is that the cord connecting the transmission unit to the camera broke after the first time using it. I had to buy extra ones on Amazon. Other than that it works out perfectly Plug Play

You will need two additional products that do not come with this if you have plans to ever use this device for improving your audio for filming on ios devices such as iphone and ipad.1. SC7 TRS to TRRS patch cable2. Lightning to headphone Jack adaptorBOTH NEEDED and DO NOT come with RODE Wireless Go.I learned the hard way and it does not tell you, however I do believe anyone selling the product should mention this to all consumer before walking out the door. Would save us the trip and give them additional sales and higher customer service rating.I purchased this product to save me the headache of messing with cheap audio mics I thought would be good enough. My wife calls me cheap, I prefer the word frugal, but either way this is money well worth it.The Bad does not include the two devices i mentioned above. the two windshields that come with it are nice but dont always stay on the mic when excessive moving around. the pouch that comes with the product is nice but wish it were larger to fit charging cords and other accessories that are necessary. this is a list that i had to think hard about as it is a very awesome productTHE GOOD everything else about it is GREAT distance, battery life, charging cords are nice and long, small and therefore easy to carry, travel, and out of sight. I use it with a lav, but you do not need one no more headaches and worry about not hearing excellent audio for all your filming needs. Unless you need it for multiple people then this may not be your product. I would suggest a shotgun mic or multiple devices and like i said i am frugal cheap so i cannot suggest where to go for multiple people.Good Luck

Rode Wireless Go , Is a bang for your buck because it is tiny, it last long, and cheaper price then any other competitors. The goods It is tiny with features that Ive always wanted. I use to use the Rode Rodelink Wireless mic for Videography, That alone was a good product. But it was heavy and batteries drains faster because of the double A features. Back to the GO, this mic works perfectly With my Canon 5d Mark IV, Sound Quality is Crisp. I used it for a wedding ceremony, tucked it in the grooms Botton up, inside the chest pocket the whole entire Ceremony, which was 30 mins long and captured the whole entire ceremony from the both vows and the speeches from the minister. So battery life was amazing. For the cheap price I think it is worth it.The bad So when I was using this for my wedding gig. I had the mic With the groom the whole time, when I was walking away from the groom, I was loosing signal when I Pass by a tree or a pillar, and I believe I was 15 feet away from the groom. then another incident happened that the bride hugged the groom while the mic was in his chest pocket and I lost signal but it got back on after the hugged was finished. by so far if the mic is not touched or blocked in any kind of elements. it works perfectly. Maybe they can update this through software. but for now I dont know.
Seth –
This is quite possibly the most simple wireless mic setup out there. It takes as long as turning on the mic and receiver and youre good for your shoot. It does run on 2.4ghz, so that could be dicey, but generally, it should work out for you Im happy with the initial quality especially considering the cost
Rob –
Pros This system is inexpensive and great for what it does. We use it at church as we ramp up our live streaming efforts. It will remain useful with other uses even when we get our main sound system incorporated in streaming. Con The only hiccup was that we needed different connectors than what were supplied.
David –
I love, love this professional microphone system. I would give it 5 stars if it werent for the battery life. With or without a lavalier mic, this set works amazing, quality is fantastic. We use this every Sunday for our church service music and message time. However, after exactly 1 year the transmitter mic battery drains in about an hour. It used to last half a day or more. Im going to have to buy another one or some other brand soon since we can barely get through 2 teaching sessions of 45 minutes each. Very, very sad about this, since this has been such a professional mic, easy to use.
Jimmy –
In a world when content is king, we dont want to be technicians. This mic pack fixes that. Use a lav with it though because the square hanging on a shirt doesnt look good. Also the wind screen is useless because it doesnt stay on. Bring rubber bands. Quality is fantastic. Just a little quirk with the windscreen.
Casey –
I have typically recorded audio directly into my Tascam DR05, but sometimes it would stop recording so I decided to invest in a proper wireless system. I wasnt sure about the wireless GO because of the line of sight needed for it to record. I used it on a 3 day shoot last week and at least in my headphones, it didnt sound like it cut out and a quick listen through the audio on my computer confirms that. I would recommend keeping the gain on the packs on the lowest or middle settings because they get pretty sensitive otherwise. I recorded into my DR05 and the preamps paired with this system worked great The lav mic I used included the Sony ecmcs3 clip mic which I have used for years now and love it, although its a little big and noticeable. Im giving these things 5 stars because they really do the trick for the money you spend, and they are tiny
Keith –
This mic is great overall. I still use a rode lavalier mic attached to the transmitter so I cant attest to the mic quality for the onboard mic but it transmits my lavalier audio great to both my phone and my Canon camera. If you intend on transmitting to a phone you will also need a TRS to TRRS cable.httpswww.bestbuy.comsiterdesc705535mmtrstotrrspatchcablered6255439.pskuId6255439refP30T24R154locBODYCampaignID1065520refP30T24R154locBODYCampaignID1065520

I own a significant amount of professional video gear, including a dual channel diversity wireless field microphone setup that cost more than eight times the price of this and weights ten times as much. The quality is good enough that I would not hesitate to use this with an XLR adapter on my professional gear, and it brings crystal clear, idiotproof audio to a wide range of other applications, such as smartphones and compact cameras for video. This system is so small and impressive that I immediately decided I would never NOT want this in my gear bag, so I quickly ordered a second set to live at my office for others on my team to use. Setup is measured in seconds, not minutes, making it something that nonprofessionals will actually use to improve the audio in their videos.
Erik –
We bought this for our church during the COVID19 so we could live stream to Facebook. I have an iPhone and this paired well need TRSS and dongle to make it link to the phone . Sound is amazing and you can adjust the levels. This is a LINE OF SIGHT unit, so if you are filming and constantly turning back and forward, you may have a brief sound drop that said, clipping it in an area on your body where it is consistently in line of sight you wont have a problem. Highly satisfied with this purchase.
Kevin –
Im a pastor of a small church. We invested in the Wireless GO set because of the continual drive to improve sound and engagement for our online worships. These little guys mean I dont have to record from the sanctuary or on my phones mic. Overall, I love these. Easy to use right out of the box, already paired for convenience. Their quality is crisp and people have already commented on the better sound. The only things that stop these from getting a 5star review are 1 the provided deadcats work but do not stay on I even watched Rodes video on how to get them on better. They are especially delicate when trying to clip it on after putting the deadcat on. 2 I wish they came with the cord needed to connect them to a smart phone. Its an extra 20 for that cord. Why not just include it, Rode

I have been watching videos from some of my YouTube friends for a while. So I decided to buy this mic system.I will have to say it lives up to all the hype and moreIts a great mic choice for me because I create Homestead videos on YouTube, it frees up my hands now to work on projects without worrying about sound quality.I also like the size its easy to setup just pair the two together and your set.I did have to buy a few extra accessories, 3.5 mm adapter for my Android phone, a SC7 cable but they work perfect with my setup.I only have one small negative comment the wind screen does not stay on very well it clips on but not secure as I would like….they do give you 2 in your order.Other than that I will be buying another system to add to my setup soon.I highly recommend this mic system buy it you wont be disappointed the sound quality is great

Im am loving the RODE Wireless GO. I recommend it to anyone that is looking to get quality audio to take advantage of the wireless set up.I will mention that as with any wireless tool you need to experiment and try different configuration to reduce or eliminate interference and noise. People may complain but this is just how wireless electronic work.I was unable to get it to work with my Zoom H1n due to noise but I have been using it without any noise on my Nikon Z6 while recording separately with the Zoom H1n and its working great.Highly recommended especially for interviews, using it as a lav itself or attaching a separate lav.
Marvin –
Ive owned several mics for video production and going for wireless mics has been a game changer for me. My first was the Rode Filmmaker wireless mic set and I used it extensively with bow issues. This new Wireless Go version is honestly a step up from the bulk the previous versions had. Its pocket sized, easy to set up and the included internal mic works great in my small studio. It really feel like its quick set up and effortless to use. Im really happy with this product and trust it. I recommend it for any vlogger and video maker. Great for interviews.

i use this in streaming. i hook up to my phone both with its own mic and the rode lavalier. rhe transmitter allows you to plug in a lavalier trrs instead of using the built in mic. both are good quality and far beyond standard phone mics. the receiver also has a small display with signal, battery and level indicator. so far using 100 maximum distance, signal remains strong. no skipping. rechargable only.great product.
Clifford –
They are tiny and sound great. The receiver screen gives you all the info you need. Transmission distance is WAY more than you need for what these are designed for. It has a strong radio. Battery life is very good and USBC chargingrunning on both devices is a great addition. I only wish there was a 3db, 6db, 9db pad on the transmitter. However, the pre set gain amount is OK unless you have it recording a pretty loud source. Human voice can clip the mic if you yell loudly into the mic. Aside from that, generally speaking, these are crazy good. Buying a second set very soon.
THIBODEAU –
I used this for a gig where I needed to send audio wirelessly, and I didnt have 1000 for an in ear monitor system.Besides the good price, whats great about the RODE Wireless Go microphone is the multi function aspect, where I can clip on the microphone to a persons shirt and the receiver to a camera to record audio. It transmits stereo audio so you can make nice binaural audio recordings with stereo microphones.Alternatively, with the stereo wireless audio transmission, you can send audio through a zone out to a remote speaker in a different room, like I did.Signal didnt drop once in the 6 hours straight of music, and was all self contained in the built in batteryGreat multi function product at a great price.

Super compact. Automatically pairs. Having the builtin mic on the transceiver is awesome. Works flawless for interviews or weddings when used indoors. The windscreens that are included are an absolute must when using outdoors. I own three of these they are my goto for wedding audio when doing wedding live streams. I would highly recommend them.

I preordered the unit soon after the announcement. When it arrived, it seemed to work fine for a few hours, but then the internal mic stopped working completely. On top of that, I found out that none of my lavaliers worked with it either the interference noise was atrocious have they tested the unit with external mics at all. I contacted the support and was told that I had to send the unit in for repair after just purchasing it, great. Then I had to wait another two weeks until it got fixed. Not only did I not receive any apologies or compensation for their QC blunder, but I also got charged by the local service center for socalled diagnostics. In conclusion, is it a bad product No. But I would NOT recommend preordering it, because chances are youll get a defective beta unit. Wait for full release.ProsThe builtin mic is good as long as it works, the battery life is fine, and the unit is very compact.ConsNo RF shielding on the external 3.5mm port, meaning that most budget and some nonbudget lavalier mics will produce terrible interference noise. Also, no compatibility list exists, so for now you have to guess which mics will work, and which wont, or resort to using the internal mic which, to be fair, is good.

I was in search of a back up wireless setup for my RodeLink Filmmaker kit and after hours of watching and reading reviews online, I decided on the rode wireless go. The setup was super easy. I already had an extra lav mic so I just plugged it in and everything worked as it should. I have used it around 4 times already. Sound quality is great I didnt get to test how long the battery lasted or how far the range on the wireless was, but so far I am really impressed. This system is so small, I keep it in the side pocket of my camera bag instead of having to carry an entire separate case for it like I do for the Rodelink filmmaker.

Im so happy to get this and many of my videography friends also asking how am I getting this so fast For product wise one word compact It is just cute compare with the Rode wireless film maker solution years before. Well done to Rode Everyone need to get one and explore the crispy sound directly using the internal mic.For those complaining about the sound quality, please go other places if looking for very professional. Look on the price point and the value for this wireless system. No doubt a little bit few flaw and yet all these can be covered with some tips and tricks. I have client which just I have interview him and he is also surprise to see this tiny transmitter Keep up the great work Rode

The reviews on this model are mixed, but I decided to invest in one after seeing it in use by a local marketing company that i trust. This particular unit does not work half as well as the exact same unit used by said marketing company for interviews. Comparing them side by side the unit supplied by Adorama has only a 5 7 foot range from receiver before one experiences significant connection problems. I will not buy this model again.
eric –
Bad issues with electronic interference, one unit is a brick after 7 months of light use. If you lose line of sight at all, no bueno. When they work they are great but if you are mission critical look elsewhere. I have had to punt these units for my 10 year old sennheiser bodypacks more times than i can count.
Eric –
I purchased this one and the black version. Builtin microphone is plenty clear but the whole thing because much more concealable once the Lav is attached. I love this setup. This Lav is more clear for a female voice. I use another Lav with this setup when I record my own voice as it provides a bit more clarity in the low end.

We have been amazed how well these have working in doing significantly more video during COVID19 protocols at church. Easy to use and great sound. So small easy to conceal, we use with Rode Lapel mic. Only complaint we have is needing to charge after each use, but again they are very small so not much room for larger capacity battery. BUT never ran out during a recording.

This thing worked ONCE…and that was while testing. I turned it on months later to finally use it and it doesnt work at all It turns on. Connects to each other. And thats it. No audio works with or without a mic. Only good thing is the batteries still work with no recharging 8 months later. Its a 200 brick. No firmware updates either Avoid at all costs
Evgenii –
I chose between various companies for a long time, honestly it was a difficult choice, because there are good competitors for this cost. I read a lot of reviews about this model and not all of them are good. He took it at his own peril and risk. I have been using it for a month and honestly did not regret it. The sound is good There is no noise. Compared with a competitor Sennheiser and in my opinion this one is better, there is no noise It is also very convenient that there is a screen on which the battery charge and signal are displayed, the competitor does not. And also surprised by the size, very compact
Jonathan –
Works surprisingly well. Watched so many YouTube videos showing drop outs when the pack was obstructed. I put it on the back of my girlfriends belt and it still worked at 6 feet, then had her walk to the other end of the houseabout 40 feet with 2 or three walls in between and no dropouts You can also monitor signal strength so youll be aware if there is potential for dropouts, I couldnt get it below half strength even with all the obstacles. The only issue I had was plugging it into my Zoom along with a wired mic caused a strange phaser type sound that I couldnt fix even in post, so I wouldnt count on mixing it with a wired signal. Might be latency but I was unable to fix it.
Paul –
Most importantly, it works and works well. I use it to connect the line output of a sound board to my video camera. I use a 35 dB attenuator between the line output of a sound board to the mic input of the transmitter module. However….Downsides of this device are that 1 it came packed in Maximal Frustration Inducing Packaging like it was designed to aggravate the purchaser, and it did so whats the point of that 2 if theres a PDF user manual on Rodes website, I couldnt find it so less stars for bad no written documentation and 3 as part of no documentation there are no written electrical specifications audio input and output impedance, voltage levels, dynamic range, SN RF frequencies, RF TX power levels, RF RX sensitivity, etc.

I was buying a second set and noticed they have it in white. I bought it because it would be easier to tell them apart and the unit is so small that the color doesnt really matter so much. The white cable I bought with it came in handy we are a yoga studio and some instructors wear white clothes. Otherwise same as the black unit and we have had good experience with it.

This is the best mic Ive used. I have the rode video micro and the wireless microphone is really good. You can get creative with this device. Ive used as a boom mic, instrument mic, and the possibilities can not go wrong. Honestly recommend this to anyone.

Im an actor and have to selftape auditions at home. I was using a wired lavalier mic for several years but wanted to stepup my game. I researched wireless mics and came across this system. I went to speak to an audio expert at BH who also thought this Rode Wireless Go System could be what I needed. Although it comes with its own built in mic, I decided the additional Rode Lav Mic to plug in to the transmitter would be the way to go. I was really happy with the results but I live in an apartment off a very noisy street and wanted to test the difference by also purchasing a separate unidirectional lav mic to see if it could cut down on outside noise, but the mic itself was much bigger than the Rode Lavalier Mic and it just couldnt match the sound of the Rode. Im returning the unidirectional mic and sticking with Rode all the way. I realized that in lowering the volume down in editing and taking out a bit of the outside noise that its exactly what I need. So happy I decided to buy this system and its so amazing that both the receive and transmitter fit in the palm of my hand at the same time. They connect so easy no changing channels.

Great product but comes with no instructions. The rode lapel mic comes with a quickstart guide and it doesnt need it, while this thing needs 3 separate adaptors to work with my iphone and lapel mic which I ONLY knew from watching youtube. A colleague who bought one couldnt use his lapel mic with it because he didnt know of the adaptor you need. Also I was getting really bad sound until by chance I noticed the DB button and played with it. Other than setup teething its going to help us a lot. The bees attack our other mics.

Decided to up my audio game for my YouTube channel, and I needed something small and portable and this system hits the spot. Quick easy setup, great sound quality. The only thing that needs improvement is the dead cat doesnt attach securely. Other than that I highly recommend.
Henry –
Replaced a more complicated wireless setup I had that included a bracket for the iPhone. This setup is very easy to use, has worked thus far without issue, no interference on the channel and good battery life. I use an iPhone, and let the receiver just hang from the lightning adaptor as it as extremely lightweight. Built in mic is adequate, and Ive not noticed any difference between it and the inexpensive lapel mike I was using.

I bought the Rode Wireless Go for three reasons.1. Convenience. Ive been using a budget wired lavaliere mic that plugs directly into my camera. No more tangled wires.2. Size. TX and RX are small and do not take up space in my bag.3. Flexibility. If you pair Wireless Go with SC7 cable you can use it with your smartphone. This is great for a vlogging setup.Using the Rode Wireless Go is great for solo, talking head video. I do recommend wearing something with a collar. While wearing a tshirt, the transmitter will flop around and muffle your voice. Overall Im satisfied with the build quality and sound.
Ziyin –
I purchased wireless go back in May and had only used once with Rode lav microphone. After that, the internal microphone doesnt work anymore. Googling this issue I found tons of people having the same issue internal microphone malfunction after plugging in the external mic. So if you are considering buying this product, make sure to test this first.Other than the transmitter issue, the battery life is very bad, I only get 34 hours of nonstop recording time instead of the advertised 7 hours.Rode customer service is also mediocre, requiring multiple times of purchasing proof even after I registered the warranty uploaded the proof of purchase. Their website said for warranty repairs they will provide shipping label and the service is free, yet what they actually provided was a piece of shipping address and I still need to pay for the shipping for such a dumb defective product they made.

We were very excited about this simple run and gun Lavalierish tool Buy unfortunately it just didnt work well. It would crack and make poor audio for interviews that were only 8 away. We had to quickly set up our other Rode Link Filmmaker.. thank goodness we had back up.The way this Go Compact performed was not even acceptable for simple internet vloging… I hope Rode improves the quality.. Ive never had a Rode product not work.. I was disappointed..

Im a Videographer, and I can tell you this is a must to your audio arsenal. Whats really cool is the design is made to fit any hot shoe ion camera or off. Another cool feature was the transmitter also has a built in mic and two wind screens. I may buy another set for both my cameras. I hate wires. Love my Rode Wireless Go.
Todd –
I recently purchased these for work and doing press conferences. The devices work great and the audio quality is very good. I wish there was a little more information in the packaging on how to connect lavalier mics. One issue I learned on the fly is that I needed a powered mic to get them to work with my iphone.
Endy –
Previously, I used Audio Technica System 10 camera mount system. It works great and the sound it produces is wonderful. However, the packaging size is quite large. Therefore I seldom bring it with me for vlogging. When Rode Wireless Go launched, I cant wait to get it. Buy it immediately when it available at BH. Very satisfied with the package. Small and compact. Built in mic, no need to wire a lavalier to transmitter and try to hide the cable. Very quick and practical for interviewing people.Battery life is great. Able to endure full day session. The only downside is the limited range. Which is expected, due to the small size. Just be sure not to put it behind the speakers body when using lavalier mic.
Omezie –
This is one of the best wireless mics I have ever used. The range is great, but just like anything else, once you start having objects in the way, you will lose audio. You have 3 different decibel settings, the best one in my opinion is setting 2. And make sure you adjust your audio on your camera to around 6 or 7. The battery is great as well. it can easily last over 5 hours straight. Although the rode wireless mic has a new model out, I dont see the need to spend an additional 100 for what I need it for. I do recommend this item.
Jerald –
I purchased this system for vlogging, so that it didnt matter where my camera was aiming or located, my audio would stay linear. Ive used it numerous times and it satisfies my reason for purchasing it. My only complaint is that after a month or so of owning it, I notice my audio was only recording in mono as opposed to stereomono. After some testing and troubleshooting verifying all my settings were correct, cables were good, etc. I found out the output jack on the receiver is not functioning correctly. The center set of connectors appear to be spread too wide, causing the audio jack to have difficulty making contact. If I put pressure on the cable jack in the same direction of the body of the receiver, I get a stereo output. Under no additional pressure, I only get a mono signal. Fortunately, while this seems like a big issue, its an easy fix in post. So, Ive just been correcting it in FCPX and all is good.

After looking at various options for a wireless microphone system, I decided to go with the Rode Wireless GO Wireless Microphone. This is the best option if you are looking for a wireless microphone system for personal video projects without breaking the bankIt comes working right out of the box I just turn it on, place the mic on my subject, connect the receiver to my camera, adjust the sound level, and hit recordIf you struggled with poor audio quality, or you cant hear the people talking in your video because they are too far away or too much background noise, this will help you solve those problems. This is a great wireless microphone system if you are working on personalschool video projects, if you are on a budget, andor you want something simple. If you purchase separate cords, you are also able to use this with your iPhone or iPad.I would purchase another system in the future

So I did a test using this product on my YouTube channel.httpsyoutu.beJiJTdnLJ0bMI am constantly looking for new ways to test the audio quality on this microphone system. Comment on my video if you dare and talk to me live. I am also on Snapchat Jonasegway. You can hit me up on there to ask further questions for more details on this kit.I like it. I wont say I use it alot because I have a few good audio equipment to use for various types of filming. Anyways, talk to you soon guys.

I am a professional videographer. I have been using these mics for a little over a week now and I am blown away by them. I filmed an engagement in nature by a stream and the sound that I got was incredible you could still hear the stream but it was a whisper. The wireless range was also impressive as I was at least half a football field away at some points and I had rocks and trees come between us but I never lost signal. I was hiking up boulders recently and one took a tumble about three feet down bouncing off a tree and some rocks and it looked fine except for a small grain of sand stuck in the seal still work perfectly. I just worked a beauty salon commercial and it was great, you can put them on your talent or on a surface next to them and get ideal sound. Honestly, I dont think there is any other wireless system in the world that I would trust for run and gun videography like this one. I love it and I highly recommend it.

You never know what you were doing wrong until you hear how to do it right. I have made several videos using either the onboard camera microphone or a shotgun mic on top of the camera. Neither can compare to the clarity of this microphone. Looking at several YouTube videos, Ive seen people use a lav mic along with this and I dont see a need for it. Only if you need to have the mic more discreet. Both methods have a slightly different sound, but both sound greatMy only negative is the wind muffs to cut back on the wind when outdoors. You will lose them if they come off. But theres nothing two black rubbers cant handle. I use two small black rubber bands to keep it in place.Lastly, I had planned to purchase the RodeLink Wireless which is about 400. Now I can get two wireless systems for that price. Ill be using this for YouTube videos and interviews so this will be my goto product for getting great sound. And for those that feel the sound raw is not good enough, many professionals process the sound anyway for their videos.I give it 4 stars because the wind muffs are flimsy and I would like to see in the next version of this the option to record directly to camera or Micro SD as well. If we had that choice, this would make it the ultimate product
Lisat –
I heard there was a second version of these microphones. I took advantage of the sale price. I absolutely love this set Worth every penny you might spend on these. I have used them with my Go Pro 9, my S 21, and my Z 6. All sound great Good purchase if you are willing to try this wireless set

I have been on the fence for months about getting a wireless system for videography. I dont shoot commercials…yet.. but I document our travels for publishing on YouTube and wanted to be able to wire up some lapel mics to enhance the quality of our audio, but didnt want the wires. I looked at the new Sennheiser system, the Comica dual wireless lapel mics, and the Rode Filmakers kit, all of which had their good sides and bad sides, and all were in that price range to make me hesitant especially when buying two. Then I saw a review for the new Rode Wireless GO system. The sound was good, the dead mice were goofy, but they were SMALL, and you could attach pretty much any microphone to it with the right adapters. The small form factor meant I could mount two of the receivers on my audio interface on the camera, and it wouldnt look awkward and bulky. Did I mention the sound was really good As soon as I saw the price, I jumped and purchased two sets and dont regret it. They are perfect for whatI need them for, and I can travel with them without taking up a bunch of valuable space in my camera bag. Highly recommend for YouTubers. I even purchased an XLR to mini adapter to use with a handheld mic for interview situations.
Jordan –
ProsGreat sizeLove that its rechargeableConsTerrible builtin micHorrible rangeI would give this setup a 5 stars if the transmission didnt go in and out only 30ft away. If the receiver is in direct line with the transmitter with nothing blocking it and I mean nothing blocking it at all it will record great audio if youre using a lav mic otherwise, this thing is a piece of garbage. Audio goes in and out even if the subjects body is between the receiver. Im a wedding videographer and I wont be able to use this.
Dave –
I have been pushed to create content on YouTube and decided I need a good mic for outdoor recording that is flexible. Since using this pack system, Ive been getting comments about how much better the sound is on my uploaded videos. The system is very easy to use. I especially like the visual feedback showing the signal and gain. This is an absolute game changer for my recordings by DSLR or iPhone.
Seth –
This is a terrific mic. I bought a 100 noname version that was hideous. The sound quality is excellent. The range is not huge, but realistic, especially in line of sight. Its not a surprise that it comes with two fuzzy windscreens because they dont attach to the mic very well. In fact, they dont attach very well at all. I still recommend this unit. Its light and effective You will likely need a TRS to TRRS adapter cable, in addition to a TRRS to Lightening cable to make a current version Iphone or Ipad work
Comety –
I use this almost every day as I simultaneously teach online and facetoface students. The audio sounds clear. The battery can last the entire school day around 5 hours of continuous use with power to spare. I never push the limits of the mics range, but it definitely allows me to roam a classroom and talk to online kids at the same time.
E –
Nice compact size. Easy to use and set up. Pairing the devices is very simple. The built in mic is adequate at best. If you want quality audio you should plug inuse a compatible external mic. The included fur windshields do not stay on very well.
Michael –
The Rode Wireless Go wireless microphone works perfectly with my Canon 6D MKII and Nikon Z6. I had no issues with either camera after setting the incamera microphone volume control. I never needed to adjust the db setting on the Rode itself. I left it as it came.My device DID NOT come with the wind muffs so they must no there is an issue with them staying affixed to the transmitter.I was blown away by how well the microphone filtered out or didnt pick up background noise such as barking dogs, airplanes, and construction vehicles. The shotgun microphone I used to attach to my cameras hot shoe had great sound but picked up everything in the direction it was pointed at.
Donald –
Ive been tethered by a long to my camera for my YouTube videos far too long. After all the reviews Ive seen on the Rode Wireless Go and the many people Ive seen using them I finally saved up the cash to buy them. Wow, what a difference in freedom but more importantly its also a big improvement in sound. This microphone system is outstanding. I cant believe the quality for the price and their so light weight too. I highly recommend the Rode Wireless Go Microphone System to anyone whos still tethered by a wire to their camera. And a BIG bonus is that I no longer have waste time before every shoot untangling the wires. Its amazing how good wires are at timing themselves into knots.
blitz805 –
Great sound quality and easy to use Perfect for just about any kind of video making. I think itll work fine without a plugin lav mic, the only challenge is clipping the transmitter somewhere close enough to your mouth but not too obvious to the camera. So far my solution has been to wear a buttonup shirt and clip it inside, between the 2nd and 3rd buttons.
Jessica –
I bought system to use for interviews and to record yoga videos. I am blown away by the quality of this little guy I love the simplicity of options and ability to easily clip it to a shirt or yoga pants. Very easy to set up. Dont be surprised that there is no manual inside the box, its available online. Nice Black carrying case.
Joshua –
I like this thing much more than I thought I would. Super versatile and portable. I mainly use it for back up audio in case an issue occurs with my boom audio. Redundancy is important. My only concern is that it doesnt record in itself, compared to other lav mic systems. I cant really think of a situation where this would be problematic to me personally, but if this concerns you, Id definitively just go with the Tascam DR10l.
Morituri23 –
Since our church cannot have gatherings of more than 10 people at a time due to safe distancing guidelines we have been pushed to stream all of our services online. This mic is great for use with my iphone 11 pro max to stream via facebook live. The sound is clear and crisp and there is even a dead cat muffler for outside when it is windy. Battery is great as it lasts for at least 34 hours which is impressive in something that small. It has been a real life saver. I know that making this technology smaller is expensive but I wish the price would come down a smidge to make it more accessible for people with smaller budgets.
Chris –
So far my biggest complaint with the Rode is how hot it is Set at itslowest, under most talking situations going to my GH5, it does work. But it does not take much to clip the audio when I try. I have to put the lav mic down by my belly button which means the pickup space is not as tight as I would like if I were outside in noisy environments. Am I the only one with this issue If I clip it to the top of my shirt like many other people do, just a bit of excitement from my voice will cause it to clipI would not trust the RODE for paid work. Between the range and the ease to clip, nope nope nope

Excellent Aussie made Rode Go wireless receiver and mic system, mini compact, reliable with clear audio for live streaming my yogameditation Reiki classes and training … Only issue I have is with the mini dead mouse wind muff, they need to make a more reliable connector above the mic housing. Thanks to Toby for securing this needed device for my work activity. Ive ordered the new white lavaliere mini connector mic but sadly out of stock at the moment due to obvious reasons. Dez Dalton

I was in the need of a wireless microphone that was not bulky and did not need a lavalier microphone attachment. I found the Rode Wireless Go and I gave it a try. Wow, what a difference it made on my videos. The sound was of identical quality to the fancy shotgun microphones. The fact I could place it on my shirt, tie, or pocket made a big difference especially since I was able to get rid of the mic cables. Since I use them all day I needed up buying 3 sets they dont last 24 which is expected for their small factor. In conclusion, the most outstanding and crystal clear small factor microphone you could ever find.

I was looking for a wireless microphones system for my go Pro nine. I bought a couple cheap ones but did not work well. I did my research and decided to buy this. It is been well worth the money I would vies anybody to get this it was well worth the money. The videos I watched on YouTube were not lying about this product it is fantastic.

Ive been a long time user of the Rode SmartLav lapel mic. I use it all the time recording field audio and video. Ive been in the market for a wireless microphone system. When Rode announced the Wireless Go microphone system at the National Association of Broadcasters NAB show, I jumped on it immediately. Slim form factor, simple setup, and a name I trust.SummaryI recommend the Rode Wireless Go. Im happy with the form factor, quality, and audio results. Key wins for meTransmitter receiver are prepaired out of the box. Youre up and running in minutes.Superslim form factorFlexibility with the builtin microphone or external mic like the SmartLavGood range in the fieldUS199The only gotcha is maintaining line of sight between the transmitter and receiver. This is called out on Rodes website. I was a little surprised at the sensitivity to line of sight. Watch the video for more.

Exactly what I always wanted for family videos. Small, easy to use and with builtin mic No more AF noise even external mic doesnt help. I like it more than lav mic cause it still picks up ambient noise so sounds more natural. Very loud sound, I have to use the lowest db setting on the receiver use it Canon 5d iv. And even then I have to enable attenuator. The sound quality is great thick and solid. I wonder why the receiver couldnt be powered from the camera itself through 3.5mm cord like rode microOverall, this product is excellent for a shockingly low price. I would have paid 300 wo hesitation. At 200 it is must have for everyone who does even occasional video family, hobby, wedding, vlogging, interview, etc.. Great for recording yourself while preparing for something presentation, job interview, etc.. It is a game changer for the industry and I expect to see lots of inferior copycats.

So far, The Rode Go Wireless Mic has been everything Ive hoped for. I have used it with my DSLR camera with the included 3.5mm TRS cable and with my smartphone using the optional TRRS cable. I love the ability for multiple uses. I have also used it for a mic in Zoom chats. It has a great range and sound. I totally recommend this product
Paul C. –
At first the product was great then the receiver stopped working. PMT sorted out a replacement really quickly.Depending on how youre using the product, you may need some adapters. If youre using it with a laptop youll need a different Jack to Jack connector and then a USB adapter for that

I am new to semiserious video. Using with Sony a7iii with 50mm prime lens. Doing family history video interviews of old people. As I collected gear, it occurred to me that the camera mic would be inadequate for good audio. Acting on a recommendation, I searched out this unit. It is very compact but has surprisingly great sound. The status screen on the receiver is very helpful for sound checks. This is the perfect solution for my needs.
Meteo –
This is a great wireless mic. One of the easiest mics to set up if youre looking for a wireless solution. So far Ive use this with my iPhone 12 max and a GoPro eight. Both devices work seamlessly with this Mic. I really recommend this for anyone looking for the easiest wireless mic to set up in my opinion.
BrotherJosh –
We needed a way to improve microphone quality through the use of iPhone livestream. Nothing seemed to work well. After many discussions with several people and my own research, I decided to try this unit and not get some knock off brand. Well, its is incredible. Made our church livestreams incredibly well. Not a little difference but a huge difference. Highly recommend this unit. It is not cheaply made either.
Liam –
It works great overall, as long as youre within 10 of the transmitter. As soon as you or your subject turns around, the audio is liable to cut in and out. Pretty much unacceptable and unusable as a professional piece of equipment. But if youre right there and not moving, it works well. Holds a charge well. 3.5mm jack on receiver I have two and this is true for both only works when plugged most of the way in. If you give the plug that last click, the audio no longer transfers to the recorder. This cant be the case for all of them, but its true for both of mine. Better than nothing, very functional if you know its limitations.
Scott –
The Wireless GO sounds and works great when in CLOSE range. I wouldnt recommend it for situations where audio is crucial because it can be unreliable at times. I think its best suited for the run and gun vlogger or filmmaker that doesnt always use wireless but wants to have wireless in their camera bag just in case the need arises. Its small and instant to set up which is a huge advantage to those who are unfamiliar with setting up wireless professionally.
Justin –
I have two of these, and used them on about 29 different occasions in different locations, weather, mounting positions, etc. I absolutely could not escape having random dropouts 23 times per recording because I record for about 12 hours straight at a time. Absolutely unacceptable for me and it happens with both of them. Direct line of sight, dropouts within 1015ft. Ridiculous.
DjTone408 –
This is the perfect set up for my Sony ZV1. Ive tested it from 30 feet away and the sound comes clear. I am sure with a visual line of sight I probably couldve went further. My only gripe is the wind muff Cannot properly attach to the mic so Im using a rubber band to hold it in place. Nonetheless I stand by my purchase
Terry –
I just got this setup and tested it on my DSLR as well as my videocam XLR based. I needed a light, flexible setup for videoing interviews on the go where I could just clip on a mic to the persons clothes and quick setup on my camera.I hoped to try using this with a shotgun mic input as well, so I could video presenters from 3040 feet away in a noisy setup. Here is my detailed review….The packaging is very frustrating. You have to rip and tear at many levels to get to the goods. The product comes with a quick start guide because its apparently so easy to use, but a more detailed manual and explanation would be helpful not available on Rodes website either. The send and receive units are quite small. They are both charged by USB cables two small ones supplied. Somewhere I read they are good for 6.5 hours on a charge. Also included are two small wind covers, a cable that goes from the receiver to your camera 3.55m. I also bought a Rode converter to convert the output to XLR for my video camera that only has XLR in my DSLR accepts the 3.5mm cable. I did not try this unit on a cell phone.Fairly easy to use. Hold down the power button on the transmitter and receiver for 3 seconds and both units power up, link, with the receiver showing a volume meter. You can easily see if you are getting any volume based on the receivers meter going up and down. The sending unit has two blue leds. Unfortunately if the talent is wearing this outwardly, the tiny blue lights would show up in your video so its time for black gaffer tape I guess.I plugged the receiver into my DSLR, and clipped the receiver to the hot shoe mount nice touch. I recorded some video. The audio level out of the box is fine. The sound clarity is very good, however it takes a little off the top end of the sound, which could be a good thing, depending on your environment. I found the microphone picks up well, but if the talent talks while turning their head to the far left or right, you can pick up a little bit of loss of volume not much, but slightly noticeable. If the talent talks straight forward its no problem. The receiver has a DB button, which allows three sensitivities of DB low, med, high. The lowest position works fine for the clip on mic. The levels are pretty good. I think I had my DSLR input sensitivity set at 21 out of 30 and everything worked great. No drop outs. I didnt test this unit for distance, but at 10 feet away there was no problem. The tiny clip on has a built in mic, but also a spot to insert your own lavier. I did not try that. I did try a shotgun mic with a conversion from XLR to 3.5, to see if I could use this unit to pick up sound from far away. This turned out to be tricky in terms of levels. At the lowest level, one of my shotguns could not deliver enough volume level, probably about 13 of what was needed. I plugged in another video mic XLR, and that seemed to work, however I had to bump up the DB sensitivity to Medium which introduced a tiny bit of underlying noise. So, not totally what I was looking for, for remote usage of a shotgun mic.So, in total, if you want to use this unit for run and gun quick setups so that you can interview subjects, it works well. It does not produce the fidelity of a 600 pro wireless lav setup, however for most people the audio will be quite acceptable for the price point.

The only thing Im upset about is not buying this sooner. I bought boom mics, different podcast mics and would have saved a lot of money had I found this sooner. This is the best solution I have for regular podcast in and outdoor. You can use it straight with the mic on the transmitter is just a little uncomfortable for me like that, specially for videos longer than 10 minutes. We do use it like that when is a quick announcement video and the sound quality is amazing, but for podcast recording I recommend you use it with the Rode lav and is a win win combination.

This is certainly no Lectrosonics or AxientShure, but Im seriously blown away at the audio quailty, RF performance, size, and overall performance of a mic at this price point. Seriously guys, this is dirt cheap.I had a unique situation where I had to create several mobile closed captioning units for a large event with multiple sessions happening at the same time. I was able to deploy these units to each hearing impaired individual, they would clip the transmitter onto the presenter, and I used the SC7 cable to get the receiver into an iPod Touch with Zoom, which then streamed the audio over to the remote captioner. It worked flawlessly. We have a heavy 2.4Ghz environment, right in the middle of downtown Austin and never had a single dropout or any interference. The battery life is great, and the build quality is great for the price point. The use of USBC instead of Micro USB is the cherry on top. Its also great that you can plug a different Lav or whatever can be adapted into 3.5mm into the Tx. I only wish there was more granular gain control for the input, but once again, for the price, I cant complain.

I bought these black were sold out but I assume they work just as well to upgrade the audio for my selftapes. They work amazingly well, exactly as I wanted, super simple to use with a headphone jack mic. Highly recommended.WARNING If planning to use with an iPhone, must also buy RODE SC7 TRS to TRRS cable.

Wasnt sure what to expect with this mic as its so small and compact, but thats the beauty of it. Although its small, its powerful and versatile. I use it for all my videos and works well with the lapel mic as well if needed. I wouldnt hesitate to buy again. Only down side is, you cant connect another transmitter to the system you already have, youll need to buy a whole new set, which can then connect and sync together

The Rode Wireless GO WL Microphone System is an awesome MIC setup. Its nice and compact, with a transmitter and receiver. The audio is crystal clear and works from good distance. The Rode WL GO Mic system is made for Vloggers mainly, mirrorless or DSLR cameras. It will work with a laptop using a 3rd party USB adapter. Rode should develop a way to use this Mic with a PA system.

I was excited to replace Rodes Filmmaker Kit with their new Wireless Go. For my production and budget, the wireless go was the best investment when coupled with the Rode Lavaliere. The audio quality is on par with Rodes previous line up. When recording into a Zoom field recorder, perfect set up.If you have the budget…..INVEST. Also..the customer service and quality from BH was perfect. 24 to 36 hours after I hit purchase, the product was in route.

Im so impressed with this wireless microphone system. I needed to create educational content that could be pushed out by teachers to young students virtually. Trying to engage young students learning to read in phonemic awareness activities so that the teacher could piggyback instructionally by attaching speech sounds to spelling patterns would have been impossible without high quality audio. I needed something that could capture the difference between f and v or b and p. Ive used the microphone with an external lapel mic and without. When audio was of just one person, attaching a Lepel mic to the system enhanced the audio. However, When audio of more than one person needed to be captured, the microphone with out a lapel mic attached worked fantastically.

I got to use these twice this week to record interviews, and they worked flawlessly Its a fantastic grabandgo option for recording audio, and Im looking into lavalier microphones that play well with these to make them slightly less noticable. That being said, the audio from the builtin microphone is great, even when its attached lower on the subjects shirt. Definitely recommend these
Phyllis –
This is the best Lav mic I have used. Whether using the Transmitter alone clipped to a shirt, or plugging a lav into the transmitter, it comes through with great sound. I also placed the transmitter inside a beehive while filming bees on the entrance board, which made for great audio. We plan to buy more of these as we need more mics.
MauiTech –
Nice light and compact, easy to setup, flexible uses allowing for lavalier or mic but works well asis. Sound quality is excellent and transmit distance is excellent but requires line of sight. Excellent value for the price.Cons are few only builtin battery so when you run out of juice, you have to wait for recharging cycle… TransmitterReceiver are a matched set so cannot connect two transmitters to a single receiver workaround must use two complete sets and use a splitter to record on track on left channel and other track on right channel.

I absolutely love these mics They work great and the sound quality is awesome. Ive used it with a lav plugged in too. I havent had any issues with signal. However, the last time I used it, the plate on the unit the the screen came off and the band underneath ripped so I no longer can see my screen The mic will still power on and work but I cant see anything. Hoping I can get it fixed or replace by RODE.
Jeanette –
I cannot get this system to work with my older HP laptop so havent been able to use it. Super disappointing however, I believe the issue is with my laptop and not the system itself since I know of other yoga instructors who have used it with great success most using MAC products. Im giving it 3 stars Im sure it would be 5 if I could actually do something with it other than look at it sitting on my coffee table.

Product came quicker than expected and has been very helpful in our online worship as well as call in broadcast with sound clarity. Helps background noise and also clarity of speaker. We are exceedingly happy with this productHowever, I do wish there an option switch to bypass the Rode mic during song time. This would enable to wearer to sing along but also to participate in conversation before the service without it being broadcast online.

If youre in the market for a wireless microphone, the RDE Wireless GO microphone should be on your short short list. It has all the requirements of what a wireless microphone should have. Small which also means its lite weight. Simple which means ease of operation with just the right amount of buttons and signal meter. Reliable which means sound recordings that you cant afford to miss when your power it on.Performance wise, the RDE GO Wireless gave me more than 6 hrs battery and 200 ft distance. Sound quality was excellent and interference free.Personally, Id rather support my Best Buy brick and mortar store rather than Bezoss Amazon.I highly recommend this product.
Rodewirelessgo –
I bought this for my online fitness classes I teach over zoom. The sound quality is really good I have a large space and I had a problem with echoes. This wireless microphone did the trick It is compact enough that I dont even notice I am wearing it. I would definitely recommend this
Manny –
love the versatility of this the little wind reducer helps clear the sound as well. I have used it for both indoor and outdoor recordings and am pleased with it. Range, i am not too sure as i have not pushed it but as long as my camera can see my main subject it transmits the audio without any issue.
Mindcontrol –
A very good wireless system with great battery life. I think this still beats the Blink 500 and the PicoMic. I used it to record myself speaking for 345 minute sessions. I used a cheap lapel mic attached to the Rode mic and there was no ambient sounds and no cut out. I was approximately 80 feet away. Zero complaints with this mic. Im sure theyll release a better version 2 in the future. For now, this is the best on the market.

The Rode Wireless GO is awesome. It is so easy to use. Turn it on, plug it into your recieving device and start recording, it really is that simple. It is small and compact and the sound is excellent. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. One, is to make sure the mic device is at least 8 inches or more from your mouth for the best sound and next get a small case to carry all the tiny accessories and the two Rode Devices. It is worth every penny you will spend on it, in fact, I am going to purchase another set.

I love the size and the sound from these, and in small places not in the city, they work ok within maybe 20 feet. But outside, even 20 feet is questionable, and in someplace like timessquare NY where I had it mounted to a gimbal, 24mm lens, shooting a half body walking in unison, so maybe 5 feet away from each other, 6 at most, directly in front of them and every try had dropouts consistently, on two different units. Sadly, this makes them useless since you cannot rely on them. I am returning the second and keeping my original one for myself for some youtube in my house, where they are OK, and its not critical. I would say if you were Vlogging, where you were holding the camera or in a low volume area like the suburbs its fine, which is likely why they got good reviews on youtube, but in real world situations, or busy areas like NYC, they just do not work reliably at all. When they do, the sound is crisp, clear and clean, volume is high enough for even bad preamps, so if you just need to youtube, they may be great, for anything else, I sincerely hope rode comes out with a new better version of these that are more reliable, even if the units have to grow a bit to do so.

I was looking for a solution to poor audio on vlogs and videos I was creating for YouTube, etc. I mostly used an Osmo Mobile or my iPhone. I had really poor audio and could never get it right in post processing. The Rode Wireless Go changed my recordings for the better. Plug a few a jacks in, power the receiver and transmitter up and Im ready to go. The audio quality, along with a lav mic, was truly amazing. I used it without the lav and it was equally comparable. I would definitely recommend this product. Plus its small, light and easily hidden. Best 200 bucks I ever spent. If you are on the fence, this one is a go

In the kit Rode Wireless GO Compact Digital Wireless Rode Lavalier GOI use the Rode Wireless GO for a recording 2 weeks ago and it work great.Because of the condition where I was and also, not wanting to see the clip of the wireless go, I did use the Rode Lavalier GO with it, for that capture. The receiver was attached to my new Panasonic HCWXF1 UHD 4K Camcorder that I purchased in December.I needed an adaptor on the Panasonic shoe, because the shoe on the camera is recessed lower in the body and not totally free access for the wireless Go receiver did not fit in the recessed area of the camera. I did have a Y shape shoe spliter and with that, there was no problems.I was very satisfied With the Rode Wireless GO Compact Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System Kit and the result it gave me.

Ive watched many others with this microphone and been pleased with their audio quality, and finally purchased one for myself. The sound is great and the windscreen does an excellent job in wind up to about 20mphWhile the windscreen doesnt always stay on while your doing activities such as working on cars, bending, and causing the screen to rub its way loose, its far from a major detractor of the product as a whole.Once again RODE does a great job at making an ultracompact, and quality product. Upgrading to this from a competitors beltpack setup is far easier to manage when shooting with small devices such as the GoPro platform.
Ken –
Ive used this system, at this point, on 2 pro shoots and Ive been very happy with the results. Previously, Ive used the Sennheiser G3 system married to a FS5. With the GO, I now have the flexibility of going lighter and quicker by using this with my A73. The builtin mike on the transmitting sure is surprisingly good. Great clarity and clearly tuned for optimal voice reproduction. Ive never had a subject more that 25 feet from me, but hey no dropouts or change in transmission quality. I love its simplicity just turn them on and they instantly pair and are ready to use. They are so light and small and in a run and gun situation make life a lot easier for me especially if Im a one man band for the shoot. They last for hours at a time I havent yet run out of juice so I cant tell you for sure how long for me but it is terrific that theyre rechargeable. For one subject I attached a lav to the transmitter and, again, got excellent results. The clip that goes into the hot shoe is nothing less than brilliant and is one reason the whole setup works so well. This system is not only liberating but can really foster some creativity in how, when, and why its used. It makes my a73 a more viable camera the receiver adds nothing to it on a gimbal fantastic And any time I can choose my a73 over the FS5, Im a very happy shooter. So I cant recommend this system enough. Im thrilled

IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR SOUND QUALITY, THE RODE WIRELESS GO MICS ARE THE BEST OPTION.THE SOUND IS CLEAR AND THE RECEIVER HAS AN EXCELLENT RANGE THAT ALLOWS YOUR TO HAVE A SUPERB SOUND WITHOUT CABLES ON YOUR WAY.I USE THE RODE WIRELESS GO WITH MY GOPRO HERO 8 WITH MEDIA MOD AND MAKE AN EXTRAORDINARY COMBINATION OF SOUND AND VIDEO.

I do a lot of live streaming events and these have been great. Our first set we bought had issues. When turned on they would not link to each other. I called Rode and they, as always, were amazing. They sent me a new set right away. Now this new set works perfectly. If I had to try to find a con it would be that you cant charge them while in use. I tried plugging in a power bank and it would make a horrible sound so I just had to switch to a different system. Other than that, it works. I use it on the second level of gain and sometimes plug in a Sennheiser lav. The rest of the leveles I adjust on camera. I use it with at Sony A7RIII.
Albert –
Ive mainly used this for vlogging and there is much to love about the Rode Wireless GO system. Its prepaired out of the box. Holds a charge reasonably well. The range is great The sound pickup is awesome. However, there are some really annoying things about it too. The power buttons are fiddly. Its easy to turn on but to turn it off is a pain. The batteries are internal rechargeable so at some point they will become useless. This is a one transmitter, one receiver system. I really wish the receiver could handle more than one transmitter. I find the gain to be strange. Even on the lowest setting, it is too loud. During editing Im having to drop sound by at least 10dB. I would still recommend it but hopefully a gen2 will address some of these concerns.

I received my Rode GO Compact Wireless Mic today. This set is outstandingSizeThe two units together are slightly smaller than a standard business card. They are thin, compact, and easy to deploy.ApplicationI used my set immediately to assist my wife with a FB Live broadcast. We filmed in the backyard of our residence. Her audio was strong and crystal clear. There was no interference from the sound of the waterfall. The clips on the back of the units are the same size as a shoe connection so they both fit perfectly in a cold shoe.I placed the TX box in a cold shoe with the mic facing me selfie style and made a quick video. Even with the TX box a couple feet in front of me the sound was still amazing.I cant say enough about this set. I havent owned them long enough to confirm battery performance but the batteries performed well all day and still have more than 50 life.If you have always wanted a LAV set but were turned off by the cost, this is the set for you. 200 is a steal for the capabilities and ease of use. It will improve your audio performance more than you can imagine. For reference, I already own a traditional Rode wireless LAV set that performs flawlessly. This set has comparable audio and is much easier to use. Take a moment to consider the Rode GO Compact Wireless Microphone system.I have no affiliation with Rode or BH. I am just a consumer that produces several videos a week.

There are several videos online showing how the Rode Wireless Go works AMAZING….. until your transmitter breaks line of sight to the receiver. I hoped these demonstrations were false…. they werent. I had my son wear the unit in his shirt and monitored the audio through my GH5 headphone out. As I listened, I asked him to face opposite of me thus hiding the transmitters from line of sight the audio sputtered and would disconnect and reconnect at 10feet. As long as your subject doesnt face away from you or has ANY obstruction come between the transmitter and receiver, this will work for you. But unfortunately, I would not recommend this product for Pro use. I own sennheiser evolutions, and rode filmmaker kits and they are a more optimal solution
Randall –
I bought this, ironically, as a backup for my Samson wireless Headset. While the Samson has been totally unreliable, this has been great. Sound is clear and consistent, with no problems of interference. This headset is reliable for me. Highly recommended.

Makes recording video audio SOOOOO easy Quit looking around and buy these HUGE improvement over camera micsobviously but the quality of audio competes with much more expensive boom setups We record video and audio 12xweek for online services and this has been a game changer
Casey –
I picked up a few of these as backups for my Sennheiser belt packs, especially for areas where Ive got a lot of RF interference. Turns out these are fantastic and now are basically my main packs for shoots. Im pairing them with a Voice Technologies lav, but the built in mic sounds great too. This is seriously a must have in any camera bag.

white color is perfect for wedding dress or white shirts to slightly mask the unit.Small, easy placement with no Lav wires if not desired. The transmitter has a built in mic, and a slot for a 18 mini TRS. I do recommend using the optional rode LAV in white, as the built in transmiter mic can be noisey and less body than a LAV. it does come with a wind screen, but defeats the purpose of the white color if used.receiver has a gain control 5 stages with a meter, and display indicates connections. it automatically links to transmitter and avoids other units. i have 2 units, one black and one white. and never have issues using both. both input on transmitter and output on receiver are TRS and have an included TRS cable to attache receiver to mini input on cam or computer. if using with most android phones, you will need a TRS o TRRS adaptor for phone input.. both transmitter and receiver have spring clups and are super light. easy to use with video camera. i havent had any issues with dropouts… all line on sight. within 50 feet or so.

Is This The Best Wireless Mic For vLoggers The Rode Wireless Go Wireless Mic Kit Full ReviewGood This mic system is really small and lightweight. I wanted something small that would fit nicely on my GoPro without making the overall profile of my GoPro too big. This system gives me a small profile with clean audio and the flexibility of being wireless.Good Setup was super easy. I was a little worried when I looked at the QuickStart guide which is simply printed in the box with pictures and no words but it only took me a couple seconds to actually get the transmitter and receiver linked and ready to use.Good The receiver has all kinds of great information on it you, get battery levels for both the transmitter and receiver you get the audio levels coming into the receiver so you can see if your input levels are too hot in your audio is clipping, you get to see that you are linked up to the transmitter, you can also see your decibel levels so that you know if youre on low medium or high and you can make that adjustment from the receiver as well.Good The transmitter is also unique because it has a builtin microphone this means you dont actually have to use a plugin lavalier microphone if you dont want to you can just simply clip this on yourself or on your talent and you are ready to start using the system in its entirety. Now if you do have a preferred microphone you can plug in to the 3.5 mm jack and use your microphone that way. The transmitter also has two little holes on the side of the microphone that allow you to connect a little clipon dead cat that you get two of when you buy the kit.Good The transmitter and receiver both have builtin batteries that last up to seven hours on a full charge. This is really nice because you dont have to worry about trying to find AA or AAA batteries you just need to go ahead and plug in your transmitter and receiver to make sure it has a charge before you start using them. You can also plug into an external battery pack and actually charge them and or power them from an external power source while recording.Good The belt clip actually works as a hot shoe mount. Unlike other wireless microphone systems where you have to remove the belt clip to put on a hot shoe mount you dont have to do that with the Rode Wireless Go system, you simply use the belt clip to slip it right into the hot shoe mount of your camera.Good The Rode Wireless Go allows you to make adjustments to the input levels. This is really important when using cameras like the GoPro because there is very limited control over the audio input. This is also great if you have a camera with weak and or noisy preamps because you can lower the incamera audio levels down and then increase the input levels from the mic helping you get louder cleaner audio. Also the controls for the audio gain are on the receiver so if you are monitoring your audio and notice its coming in too low you dont have to access the transmitter to make the adjustment you can do it from your end with the receiver.Bad I would like to see the inclusion of a dual USB C charging cable so I dont have to take up two plugs on my power strip when recharging the transmitter and receiver.Bad You cant really hide the transmittermic if you are using the builtin mic because as small as the pack is its still a transmitter pack. Also when using the builtin mic while wearing a tshirt it seems to have a little trouble staying put I dont know if this will prove to be a problem, only more usage over time will tell. It hasnt been a problem this far and to be fair it takes some getting used to feeling the transmitter pack on you instead of just a small lav mic.Bottomline The Rode Wireless Go mic is a really well thought out and designed product that I think is a great way for independent content creators to get into a high quality budget wireless mic system. I would like to see a future model that allows you to link two transmitters to one receiver and I want to see other mics like a handheld that will also work in the system. All in all this is a great wireless kit especially for vLoggers that want to keep their setup small and discreet.

Bought two units for interviews. Unfortunately I didnt use them until after the 30 day return window. One transmitter will no longer work on internal mic, and one receiver display stays on dim which makes it hard to see. The recordings were unusable due to static at various points. I used them in an auditorium with some overhead lighting and nothing else that I felt should have caused the static. Fortunately I had a backup recorder going. I am back to my trusty sennheiser g3.
Sarah –
I purchased these because everyone recommended them as a light, easy option for filming interviews on the go. I dont usually write reviews but this wireless system is outstandingly bad the sound quality is muffled and flat and the battery life is about an 1 hours worth. What makes it difficult is you cant just replace the batteries and move on with your day, you have to charge them and it takes twice as long to charge them than the time theyre actually in use. Horrible deal dont bother wasting your time.

I was looking for a reason to get this into my kit and when I had the oppertunity I jumped on it. Just sorryy I waited so long. Exceptional Rode quality as usual.Sound is perfect and the Wireless Go has all but replaced my G100 wirelass and my Rode Video Mic.I would suggest that if you want to use a Lav on this that you stick with the Rode Pro. I tried a couple of others not Rode and was not totally happy with them. Now the not so good. The unit comes with 2 mini dead cats that clip onto the trans unit, they do a almost excellet job in cutting normal wind right up to the the point that it falls off. Which is about everytime you move. Now I know why there is 2 in the kit. I bet you lose one on your first shoot.

Im writing this while on location setting up a streaming studio for a client. This has been a failure of a mic, and Id love input if anybody dealt with these issues. 1 buzzing from mounting on the hotshoe of the camera, interference, now I have it dangling off the camera and it mostly helps. 2 clipping dropping of voice when levels are nowhere near hot, tried all output and camera levels. Using an external lav mic and I think thats adding to the problem, as moving the wire just a bit affects the reception quality. There is plenty of wifi around me so maybe thats causing issues, but Id say these units are highly prone to interference when used indoors. Help Kinda getting screwed by this.

The RODE Wireless receiver and transmitter system has allowed me to produce my golf training videos outdoors where I can actually demonstrate my online golf coaching series under actual conditions. The RODE Wireless Microphone system has allowed me totake my training sessions outdoors where it is more effective without the customary audibility restrictions due to distances or directional conversation. To demonstrate the significant audibility improvements, I did a performance test of the RODE Wireless Microphone System. Below is the YouTube Video of that test. I was well pleased with the test results. I now can demonstrate my Palmer Preset Golf Technique and be free to move around without losing audibilityhttpsyoutu.beIjCKEksVqUgMicrophone System can transmit up to 200 feet away. This provides me with a great advantage in my outdoor golf training sessions.

Our sound quality for our recordings at church during Covid19 was very poor. I reviewed some options and figured Id try these out. I opened it, attached the Wireless Go Lavalier mic, and tested it outdoors with my son in our neighborhood. I was convinced of its greatness in just a few minutes. Our sound has been so much better on the videos. I even managed to use it with our karaoke speaker as a wireless mic. It will have so many uses going forward. I plan to get the magnet attachment and the Interview Go mic as well.

We bought this to meet an unexpected situation. Our martial arts school has been closed down for some weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak, and in consequence weve been providing video tutorials for our students at home. We have a couple of Canon vixia camcorders that we pressed into use for this and we found some limitations with the builtin microphone systems. If the instructor leading the lesson speaks in a soft, conversational tone, the words are sometimes lost. We bought the Rode Wireless Go in an attempt to address this. Regrettably, our initial recordings using the Rode exposed some unexpected challenges. Demonstrating physical skills means that we sometimes get a fair amount of cloth rustling noise as the instructor moves. Also, theres a definite slight reverberation effect the room sounds very live, so the instructors voice is sometimes less clear than working with the builtin microphones on the camcorders. I dont know that this is a flaw with the microphones themselves it may be down to the way were using them. We intend to keep experimenting with them, to see if we can find a way to use them effectively. As of this writing, they havent gotten us where we need to be.
Kaizel M. –
I love it. Really worth buying it. Even though I watched how to put the wind puff on top of the mic, it still doesnt click and it falls off a lot of times so that thing should be replaced. I think. Overall I love it and easy connection to speaker and I use it outdoors no problem. Unsure how long the battery last for how many hours of usage because after 2 hours of using the bar went to half and I charged it again.

I purchased this unit for Zoom FaceTime meetings interviews to replace the wired 30 lavalier microphone I had plugged into my mirrorless camera which I use as my Zoom FaceTime camera, thanks to one of the excellent Magewell Capture Plus devices. I have been using this product for a couple of weeks and am very happy with it. The sound quality is much improved from the lavalier which in comparison sounded muffled with the Wireless GO allowing for higher frequency. And no wires. I have not tested their autonomy. I was able to do 3 4 hours of interviews and battery levels showed such duration is of no concern. I only partially tested this on the receiver unit but it looks that the Wireless GO can be used while plugged in if need be.

Filming videos with great audio doesnt get easier. The sound quality is excellent for my needs. Obstructions walls , trees, etc may cause dropout but thats not much of an issue for me.Distance hasnt been an issue either. The transmitter is a bit bluky when compared to a lav but it is easy enough to simply add a decent lav if youre not looking to have the larger rode mic visible.Love this system solved serious issues for me.
ERNESTO –
First impression was how tiny and light the system is, so, first thought is no way this will capture good sound. Until we tried it, and I mean tried it in the field with no prior testing or break in period, just took the plunge WOW Its sound is deep and clear, perfect for run and gun So, given that I used the Rode Micro cramming my camera into peoples faces to avoid setup time with my expensive wireless system this solution is sooo much better Just clip it on the talents clothes, lapel, whatever, and go Price is unbelievable, with the LED screen to boot, just go for it Oh, and, by the way, the tiny dead cat or dead mouse in this case it comes with works as well on outdoor shoots
Richard –
I was looking for an inexpensive microphone for setting up a zoom yoga class. After reading several reviews, I settled on the Rode system. It was the least expensive system which was reported to be of good quality. It was easy to set up and has worked very well with the built in mic. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a wireless mic system which produces excellent sound quality at a reasonable cost.
Gary –
I absolutely love this solution. Not having to run cables up shirts and blouses is beyond welcoming, but its nice to know I still have that option, genius design.I was awaiting inventory on the Sennheiser solution when these were announced. Since the Rode was 150 cheaper, it made sense to just give it a try after all of the reviews posted from NAB.I absolutely love this product. I run my setup through a Zoom H4N Pro and monitor audio there. I noticed using the Y Cable when connecting directly to my camera Panasonic G85 that what Im hearing doesnt match what Im recording, false reading. Be sure to monitor the meter on your camera. If your camera has a headphone jack, you probably wont have the same problem.

I use this with our Sony Alpha a6400 Mirrorless 4K Video Camera with E 18135mm f3.55.6 OSS Lens and it works greatProsIt records the audio on the video file, so I dont have to match the audio with the video files when I edit them.It can reach quite a ways, recording my husbands voice clearly when I am too far away to hear what he is saying. As long as the batteries are charged when we start a project, we have very little trouble with them going dead on us. Id guess they last an hour or two pretty easily.ConsAlthough it works fine with our 18135mm f3.55.6 OSS Lens, if my husband is far enough away that I need to use our bigger zoom lens, it is too far away for this microphone to get signal.Although it works great as long as my husband is facing the camera, if he turn his back to the camera it can cause glitches in the audio His voice will cut out for a second, then Ill hear it again when he turns back around. I especially notice this when he gets farther away from me. Weve found that it gets much better signal clipped to the brim of his hat than it does clipped in his shirt pocket.Although it picks up the voice clearly of one person, everyone else is quieter. So if you want more than one voice recorded, youd probably want more than one camera with a microphone on each person. In summary, this was a great investment and Id highly recommend it to anyone who is videoing something where they need to hear a voice clearly.I have even clipped it to the fence next to our bird feeder and got clear bird chipping sounds when I was videoing song birds

These are great for the beginning photojournalist. You wont find an easier setup just turn it on, plug it into your iPhone, clip the mic to your subject and hit record on the FilMicPro iPhone app. You will need to purchase a separate adapter cord to connect the receiver with your iPhone. The only drawback Ive found is that its omnidirectional, so it will pick up background noise if youre in a noisy space. I prefer my Tascam mic for noisy places. If youre in a quiet place, this mic is perfect and it makes editing a cinch

I use my GoPro for personal and professional work. My boys are budding YouTubers who love making videos and this wireless setup works and sounds great. I also am a surgeon and need a handsfree solution to control by GoPro but the voice control isnt very good from inside a mask. This system fits the bill and cant use the remote either. Very small, light and rechargeable batteries make this an ideal solution. I tried just the clip on unit but the addon lavalle mike works best.

I bought two pairs of these, they are so small On the other end of RodeLink which I also own two pairs this very small size is the main reason of my purchase also the Price since I already own RodeLavs, I dont know about the use with the integrated mic. Range is Good, not excellent with obstacles and distances, but for relatively close work I would say up to 8 meters they work great. I would like them to have locking conectors But I know thats against their size and class. They are great.

I bought this to replace a wired lapel mic for use in my wood workshop video making. The wired mic was just too hard to use moving around the shop, but the Rode makes it easy to go anywhere and get great sound. I use the built in mic and it sounds at least as good in my videos as the wired lapel mike. Im still on the original battery charge after a week or so of on and off use. The mic does look a little bulky on my shirt, but Im making wood shop videos where fashion doesnt count for anything.

Bought for my husband who has a YouTube video channel. He does a lot of outdoor videos where wind can cause problems with audio. The Rode mic system is awesome. Practically eliminates all background noise including wind.

After having the same problem described by many people regarding the use of an external mic and then the TX not reverting to the internal mic, Im completely happy now… Today I received the replacement kit for the Wireless Go and the system is now working properly.Im happy with the sound quality that this device has, its low weight, quality of the materials and easy of use.To sum up, although it was annoying at first, I have to recognize that this was a new product and things like this can happen. Its the customer service that matters and as soon as I contacted them, I had my replacement kit delivered, even though I live in Argentina.. Thanks Rode

I purchased this over a month ago and used it a few times. The set is made of quality materials and the sound reproduction is what I would expect from RODE. Very crisp and clear. You can connect an external Lav mic too which is great Setup is a cinch too Would highly recommend for wireless setups.

First off BH shipping was on time on the first day of product availability as promised. No surprise but always appreciatedAs far as the unit itself its quite remarkable in terms of its size even smaller than it looks in the pics included features the builtin mic on the transmitter is a brilliant inclusion and its sound quality is above average while the graphical display on the receiver is really helpful for quick sound and battery level checking operating distance is quite impressive indoors even around corners and in adjacent rooms no dropouts. I have not tested at great distances outdoors since that is not relevant for my typical use case. I am using the Wireless GO with an Osmo Pocket it is a perfect pairing from a size POV and makes for a very compact run and gun setup. at 199 the value is clear when compared to competitive offerings. although Im not sure there is another unit that is truly competitive given the GOs size and feature setIf youre even thinking about getting one of these I say go for it youll be glad you did. Its quite unlikely that youll be disappointed unless your normally operating under extreme conditions.

This GO transmitterreceiver is a simple solution to record excellent audio for iPhones or cameras. The Rode GO lets me use our existing church audio and my iPhone to livestream sunday services to FaceBook.I purchased the Rode sc7 patch cable for interfacing the GO receiver to my iPhone.I do not use an external lavalier mic as my audio source. Instead, I use our churchs PA system as the audio source. To do this, I wired the GO transmitters mic input jack to the PA mixers headphone output jack. I bought a 3.5 mm audio cable and a male jack adaptor from Best Buy to make this connection. This gave me wireless transmission of the entire church buildings audio feed all 8 microphones in the mix to my iPhones camera. Our church mixer has a volume control on the headphone jack, which allows for adjustment of the input signal strength to the GO. If yours PA does not have a volume control, you can purchase a 50db pad at Best Buy to reduce line level signals to mic levels. The Rode GO transmits clear and clean audio from our PA system to my iPhone camera. As they say, If the audio isnt clear, nobody will watch your video.

Ive been meaning to get a set of lav mics for the last few years but always found them a bit expensive and bulky. Ive been a RDE mic user for a while and finally got a hold of this system. Its relatively small and compact and they are so easy to use. While they lack some fine tuning, its great for run and gun video work. And if you get a proper cable you can even use these to improve your audio capture for mobile content creation.Highly recommend this affordable system.

I really appreciate the versatility of this system, especially with the builtin microphone on the transmitter. I have a good quality lav mic, so I didnt actually plan on using that feature much. BUT I tested these out on a busy shoot day with 8 sitdown interviews. Since some of the subjects didnt have a jacket or anything else to hide the lav, I just unplugged it and used the builtin mic. The transmitter is easy to hide between buttons or under a collar, and the audio is really not bad at all. Also appreciated are the super easy setup and zero interference issues at least I didnt experience any, even with cell phones and wifi all around me. Im looking forward to booking a shoot where I need multiple lavs, so I have an excuse to buy more of these.

Ive used two pairs of the new Rode Wireless GO for a two week long TV documentary shoot in the USA, and theyve never let me down. The best thing for me as a documentary shooter is that I can put the transmitter in the middle of the scene a table, a car dashboard, which constantly brings me great audio, regardless from my filming position. It is so small that noone would notice. The builtin mic is surprisingly good in terms of audio quality, and whenever I need even better audio, I just connect my VT1 lavalier. Battery life is enough for a shooting day, and charging time via USBC is quite short. Paring is very quick, and the hires display is pleasing. For future updates A percentage view of the battery life would be great instead of just a graphic. I would also like to see a short 3.5mm to XLR cable from Rode, even if the adapter works fine. The only letdown is the quality of the windfur. Rode has a nice howto video about this, but even by following their instructions, the windfur is not steady and will fall off when it gets rough. Over all A great little thing with a unbeatable price. Well done, Rode

I am a complete beginner. For me this has involved more than just plug go. The first time I recorded the sound peaked and was sounding loud. Then I turned down the gain. After more research found out I also needed to adjust the on camera volume before hitting record. Any additional tips welcome Hopefully I will get the hang of it soon.

in the beginning i loved this unit. even though friends said 2.4ghz is not good. i didnt believe them, and in the beginning it was really good, i put it in the brides boobs and it was a great sounding unit… until i had priests or people walking in between the 2 units… then it just went from a 10 to a 1, My last wedding in Aruba last week i put it on the bride for the 4th backup recorder… and 3 was no good, thank god for the 4th one. but anyway, they were on the beach, i was not more then 15 feet from the bride.. maybe 56 rows of people on each side. the officiant decided that he was gonna walk in front of the bride and groom and right in front of my camera,1dx2 and lo and behold NO AUDIO, breaking up like you couldnt believe, i was like Ugh are you kidding me hence my 2 star review. but if you have clear line of sight 50 ft is not a problem… and the sound is great.

We were using a RODE microphone attached to a Galaxy 10 smartphone for livestreaming Sunday church services. On the livestream, audio was barely acceptable if person was closer to the camera and worthless when further away. We knew that we had to tie into the churchs audio system but didnt want to run a cable down the aisle. Happened on the the Rode Wireless Go system and audio is 1000 better. After the switch people watching the livestream called me to ask what we changed. 5 Stars

You have to remain in the line of sight and be facing the camera for these to work properly, but the audio quality, range, and ease of use for 200 is insane If you do not want the mic to be seen, it may be slightly more difficult to hide then just a plain lav mic, but the exchange is a wireless mic set with REALLY good audio quality that LITERALLY takes seconds to set up. I have paired them with the Kondor Blue mini jacktomini XLR for my BMPCC6K and with a Mini Jack to fullsize XLR into my Zoom H6 and it has made productions so much easier and quick. I cant say enough good things about the Rode Wireless GO. If you are looking for a quick and easy solution for your audio and do a lot of interviews, testimonials, corporate videos…buy this NOW
DJDean –
I bought the RODE Wireless Go system for several uses. As a mobile DJ I was looking for something compact and simple to use for ceremonies. And for my other career I wanted something that would allow me to have higherquality audio for short instructional videos.Alas, with Covid19 I havent used it for a wedding ceremony yet. But its done a very nice job for the videos Ive used it on. I will be curious to see how limited its range is for various applications. So far Im pleased with the experience

This is a great wireless microphone. You can not only use it as stand alone wireless microphone, but also a transmitterreceiver for any microphone which is plugged in. The sound quality and the wireless range are great, typical Rode quality. Must have for Vlogger.
TexasTechLover –
Im not an experienced vlogger, but I wanted something that I could record videos with clear sound from the speaker. I did an interview in a very loud place and could get great sound. It is not directional, its to be used as a lavalier, so you still get a lot of background noise. However the speaker voice is crystal clear. You need to watch the levels because it can clip easily, it is very sensitive. Battery lasts a long time.

Now Ive heard this wasnt designed for wedding video. So maybe this is an unfair review. But Rode needs to realize how many wedding videographers need better audio solutions. So I used this and I feel it is decent. It is SOOOO easy to use. Plug and play. Literally. The sound quality is good. It cut out at one part during speech but it was quick. For the future, hopefully the microphone is smaller. It seems to be just a little too big placing on the groom. I may have to go back to using a lapel mic. It also has 2 blue lights. Not very noticeable, but I wish I could turn these off because for some reason they are on the Mic and can be seen on our subject we are filming. Also wish the receiver also had a recorder built in. Otherwise, this is pretty decent

Being new to Vlogging, I found I needed mics for myself and my business partner for when we do recorded interviews. I dont do much in video editing. We needed mics that worked at a distance and gave us a decent sound straight to the camera. I took a chance with these and WOWI found that I dont have to modify the cameras mic settings. I can leave it in auto mode and the recorded sounds are fantastic. I leave the Rode Go in the 6 dB setting and Ive not had any issues.I tried an off brand, two mics to one receiver and I had nothing but noise problems. returned them and just went with the Rode. After having tried two Rode Wireless Gos, I bought a 3rd for a future interview. This is a first for me in trying Rode products due to cost but after these, Im sold on Rode products. These worked flawlessly for this novice user

Great for interviews or a personal mic for any adventure. Very handy id highly recommend because of the small size. Nice construction, not cheap. The mic in the transmitter is very nice so you dont have to buy one. I was surprised how nice the screen was on the receiver that showed the battery levels, audio levels DB setting. Also….IT IS NOT MADE IN CHINA. Quality Product all around.

Well the battery as advertised isnt so great I am seeing battery draining out pretty much earlier than publicized 7 hours. There seem to be some issues with the audio going in as well as the other party reported that audio feels artificial sometimes overprocessingThe next thing that I dislike is the wind blocker is super useless because it is hard to fit it and pretty easy to knock it offCome on guys, for a 300 AUD product, you could have created a better one. I regret buying this, should have gone with the cheaper Samson.
Henry –
I am thrilled with this new purchase. The receivers transmit more than far enough to work for anything I need for filming. The sound is very. clear and the attached lav mic is also high quality. I will be purchasing more in the future. I had a cheaper Saramonic system in the past that never worked properly. This well worth the price. No brainer. I. love. this product and company.
Jordan –
Ive loved the convenience and quality of the Rode Go. The small transmitter pack is great for run and gun, or weddings. This is my second set. My first set has issues with the built in mic, it no longer works without a lav plugged in and is just over a year old.
Shawn –
Cannot say enough about this fantastic wireless mic by Rode. Great battery life with an easy to use functional buttons. Sound quality is a real bargain for this price point Highly recommend this kit for shooting independent films or interviews.
J Scott –
I have longed for a remote microphone when I am taking a travel video. This microphone system has a good range. Make sure that if you are using it with the iPhone, that you purchase the adapter cable. The cable that comes with the microphone system works only with a video camera.
Jeremy –
Overall the mic worked well. The mic transmitted further than I expected with little interference. However, I was not able to plug the charger into the computer to charge the unit. I had to use a phone charger plugged into the wall to charge without issue. The windshield falls off easily. I am still happy with my purchase. httpsyoutu.bexK5DNkNoN68

This is a very useful piece of gear to have in your bag. If you only shoot occasional DSLR videos or are a professional ENG shooter like me, this is a flexible piece of gear. I use it for an easytoplace and simpletohide lavalier to do quick interviews. This is a new tool that allows you to move fast and keep it simple. It also allows you to avoid frequency conflicts in those environments that limits what vhf and uhf frequencies you can use, if any. They operate on a FCC cleared 2.4gb band. This system is not able to keep a good signal at great distance or out of sight of the receiver. But, it is solid in those situations where most audio with your video is needed. I just bought my second set and started using two at a time. The builtin microphone has great sound that competes well with the pro lavaliers I use from Sennheiser and Shure. If you are a pro, it cant do everything you will need, but at this price 199.00 it is a must get for flexibility. Its a little tricky to operate the power button on the receiver, but I got used to it. I use it with a Panasonic P2 Camera at work using a 18 to XLR adapter and with a personal Panasonic GH4 directly with the included cable It works great on both. I cant see how anyone would regret having these to use. If you use a gopro or just use you phone to do social media video posts, this will give you great narrative audio. Although you may need one of the many different Rode adapter cables to match your needs. They cost less than 10. I did purchase a couple sets of shorter 3 usba to usbc charging cords so I can fit everything into the little black pouch that comes with the set. Keep a little usb charger with you and youll always be charged up. These actually last me through a whole day of shooting. Around seven hours is the estimated battery time and my experience reflects that.

Folks, the Rode Wireless Go with Rode Omni Lavalier Microphone System Kit is going to provide you with reliability and quality all from an extremely small, albeit micro audio solution. If your needs are short range and you prefer to mimic a professional style audio closeup microphone setup, then incorporating the Rode Lavalier will work out great, in addition you can utilize the transmitters internal lavalier mic input as part of the Wireless Go, in my testing both sound almost completely identical. I prefer to use the added lavalier, only because I want to be sure of my audio direction, but in the event you need a quick and fast hookup, then the incorporated lavalier in the Wireless Go clipped on to your lapel sincerely works great. Either way, both solutions provide excellent, clear, and professional style audio into your video, and Ive use this setup on my Nikon D7500 and Panasonic Lumix DMCFZ2500 and both cameras take this audio setup solution just great

This product is not easily paired with iMac or even a MacBook Pro. It is designed for a camera, and requires additional cables, not included, if it is intended to be used with computers for virtual classes such as zoom. Once you spend two hours on research and buying the connectors, waiting for them to be delivered and then another few hours experimenting, it does work as a very capable microphone.

Overall, this is a great piece of kit, as long as you dont use it with the Panasonic G85. The preamps in the G85 must be really sensitive. Even with the camera set all the way down to 12dB and the receiver down to the lowest setting, I got one heck of a noise floor.Having said that, I have no problems on my Canons or iPhoe using FilmicPro. So, again, Im deducing that its the preamps in the G85.i also people with Sonys and they dont seem to have the noise floor issue either I am planning on buying an A6400 when theyre back in stock. On a side note, it will be nice when Rode fixes the deadcat issue as I have lost one already due to wind. However, I am able to put the transmitter under a shirt easily, so thats a plus.

Need to mic a moving subject but you are using an iphone XR Just grable the bundle with the smartphone adaptor and get a lapel mic and you can make walk up intros just like the pros. Mine delivered fast and I even use it during my IG lives. Such a powerful tool for any influencer. Choose from 3 sound level settings for different rooms instantly with the box that attaches to you phone rig. Stop reading this review and buy this thing Your followers deserve top quality audio

I bought this set to use with my compact Sony ZV1 and it works as expected. Very easy to setup, just turn both of unit on and they connect automatically. And very convenience to take with me to places because they are compact. The only draw back is the wind clipping on the transmitter unit to eliminate wind through during a windy situation. The wind clipping is easy to come out. I wish Rode recognize and change this for their new release of this unit.
Bert –
You will have to try it to believe it. This little amazing digital wireless microphone system in beyond impressive. I can lay the mic on a speaker stand and it still picks my voice up like it would if attached to me. The only part you need to change is the cable that attaches the receiver to your smartphone or other device. Strongly recommended
Kamelle –
Its super easy to setup. The clip seem to have good build quality and it easily fits on cloths and on the hot shoe of my camera. I like how you can see the sound readings on the screen. It charges with USBC and the battery life is fantastic. Youll easily get 56 hours In my experience its closer to 6 hours I dont use an external lav mic because the Rode microphone works well enough for me.
Enzo –
Great easy use plug and play setup No wires to keep you close to the camera but a good solid range. Just make sure the receiver is always facing the transmitter. Sound quality is good as expected from Rode. Must admit a bit expensive but a worthy addition for your wireless mic needs.
JasonOB –
The Rode Wireless Go Microphone System is a good system for the cost, however, there are some performance issues. The system is great as long as there is a line of sight with both modules. If the person wearing the microphone turns away, putting their body in between the microphone and the receiver, the receiver will not pick up any sound. This is noticeable starting at about 10ft. Examples of this issue can be clearing seen on YouTube reviews. That said, as long as the microphone faces the receiver, its clear as a bell. providing great sound quality.
DEVON –
Really easy to use, and sounds decent without a lav, though I prefer with a lav. A little tricky to get audio to an audio interface, so youll need the RODE XLR converter. I bought this so I could selfproduce my own videos and not feel like I was on a leash. One less thing to worry about, highly recommend. Battery lasts as long as I can last.
John –
So far so good. The product has worked better than expected on non line of sight conditions. I have been getting about 40 meters with the talent facing away from the receiver. I bought this product to replace a shotgun mic whose audio quality i was not happy with. Im using it on a Cannon HFG30 video camera.
Biff –
The system works well in the setting of a small auditorium. The receiver is connected to a camera that is placed approximately 60 unobstructive feet from the transmitter located at the speaker podium. Setup and operation is easy. Came with two wires for charging the units but did not include the power units that plug into the electrical outlet. Very satisfied.
Mike –
This system looked good when viewing the specs but I still had my concerns. I tested this system using a Sony AX700 camcorder. I tested using the builtin mic and two lav mics. The first thing you will notice is the issue of the direct line of sight. When Rode says in the line of sight they MEAN direct line of sight. After walking just 50 feet from the camera and after slowly turning 360 you could tell it was already having trouble staying connected. At less than 100 feet it was dropping out predictably. Under perfect conditions, it would work at about 200 feet but no further. Direct line of sight will not be an issue if you know that the camera and subject will not be moving and no one will be walking between the receiver and transmitter. But if everyone is mobile and you are working outside of 50 to 75 feet, you will be disappointed. The second issue is the audio had a fair amount of low static noise. Several other people have reported this issue and apparently, the problem is affecting my copy. If you already have one of these units and you are not hearing static then consider yourself lucky. Which would also bring up a QC issue. I tried different mics and lavs and also moved the camera to two different locations but it made no difference in the amount of static I was hearing. The specs on the system seem really good but in actual use, it falls short. The fact you have such a long battery life and small form factor will get anyones attention. I just wish I could use it. Maybe version 2 will be the ticket. I really wanted this unit to work.

These mics saved my job a month ago…I was working in a bldg that caused some major issues with my always reliable and solid Sony UHF wireless mics, and I had to fall back to the Rode Gos on the spot. Fortunately I had two sets for back up, and they worked great. The sound quality is pretty decent, youll have to tweek a bit in post as they tend to lean more towards the treble side, but overall worked flawlessly. Do get the rode go lav mics that are now available to go with them, they work great once you find the best positionusually 812 directly under the chin is best. A solid performer, Im going to purchase a couple more sets in the near future as they are much easier to use, and not a problem to tweek in post.
Bennett –
I plugged one unit into my camera and put the other unit in my pocket. Pressed the power button on both unites and they instantly linked no hassle, no delay. I plugged the lavalier mike into the receiving unit in my pocket and hooked it on to my shirt.I then started recording video. The sound quality seems to be studio quality. I was very impressed. This unit is small, lightweight, works flawlessly, and I cant think of anything about it I would change except maybe charge a little less for it its not cheap
