So far Im really liking this lens . Ive just shot some landscape and nature photos with it and some of the wife around the house. I got it for live music photography and videography mainly. I havent had a chance to shoot that with it so far .But for landscape and nature wow . Love the colors and sharpness. It took a couple hours for shooting landscape with it and learning framing, composition with 65mm . Once I started getting a feel for it I was really liking it .The images off this lens are hands down beautiful. Id read reviews that it was sterile in its rendering because it was so perfect. Not true at al . It is very perfect but has a beautiful rendering that just happens to be perfection. It for environmental portraiture at 65mm is nice . There is subject isolation but with enough surrounding to tell a story . An 85 can do that but its like the best of both a 50 and an 85 . Very normal looking almost to a fault and this is where some folks will create that sterile type image . So be creative with your composition and work to tell that story .Peace and dont get one of these lenses. I want the originality of the guy shooting the 65 .

In reading early reviews of the Sigma 35 f2 DG DN, I had a hunch that it would be a lens that Id want. Coming from the Fuji X system, I much prefer lenses that have an aperture ring. While some Sony lenses do have that feature, it seems most do not, and those that do are higher priced. The two Sony lenses I owned prior to purchasing the Sigma 35 were the FE 20mm G lens, and the FE 85 1.8.The 35mm focal length was precisely what I needed to fit comfortably between the 20 and 85, and the Sigma was the perfect choice. It feels very natural in the hands, solid, wellmade, and thoughtfully planned out. The aperture clicks are just the right amount of stiffness. And while I normally dont go out my way to analyze lens shades, this one is clearly the best feeling and looking lens shade Ive owned on a lens.As for image quality, I have nothing but praise. It is sharp…really sharp. All of the online reviews will verify this, but to my eyes, it is as good as any Sony or Fuji lens I own. The vignetting issue that some reviews have mentioned does not seem all that significant. I love the 35mm focal length for full frame, and I feel this was the correct next lens for me to acquire. If the quality through the DG DN line holds true, I can see a 65mm in my future to replace that 85.

The first thing that jumped out at me was the buildqualitysolid metal with lots of fine details. I also love the overall esthetics of this lensa nice balance between the classic retro lenses and the modern ones. The second thing is the sizeit is just perfect for daytoday use or street photography, small and light enough for easycarrying and not being intrusive. The third thing that I noticed is the quality of the images that this lens produces. Very sharp with nice color reproduction.Im not sure if you can say that this lens is for everyone, but its certainly a nearly perfect lens for street photography.Im not a professional photographer, although I have been shooting for fun for over ten years now. So take my review with a grain of salt.

The optical quality of this lens is good, however, the copy I received has unacceptable noise when I use continued focusing. It makes significant noise when trying to tracking the subject in focus.

Superb build quality. Excellent sharpness just a tad less than the 65mm Sigma. Good colour. I pair it with the Sigma 65mm f2 DG DN for intown photo walks.

Image quality sharp and low CA, focus fast. I dont own the FE 351.8 but compare from Flickr, this 35 dg dn do perform better. Also the compact size and solid metal body, I really enjoy to shot with 352 dg dn on SONY A7C.

I am tickled with this purchase. This is a very nicely built lens. I especially love the magnetic lens cap. I find the image quality excellent. Lens profile is already in LR, so Im good to go.

Most well made lens, like a tank and cant believe for this price , great combo on my A7iii . A little giant.

The saying they dont make things like the used to is very true, thankfully sigma has gone back to the old school way of lens crafting with this series Hopefully they continue with this series and make more lenses with manual aperture rings and all metal design. Image quality is superb as you would expect from Sigma. Only complaint is there is no declick for the aperture ring but thats not a deal breaker, can use auto mode and control with camera if needed. 1010 recommend and look forward to seeing more lenses like this from sigma

Beautiful lens optically its great but man, I cant emphasize enough how beautifully built it is. It makes me want to pick it up and take photos all the time. You cant buy this type of quality even in some more expensive lenses. Highly recommend

Excellent build quality. Superb sharpness. Good colour. While it may seem an odd focal length to some, Ive grown to love the slightly tighter normal view. Betterfeeling manual focus than many, and the aperture ring feels just right. No issues with AF. I pair it with the Sigma 35mm f2 DG DN for general photo walks.

The Sigma 35mm full frame lens is fairly sharp at f2.0 and bright all purpose lens. Its balances beautifully on my Sony A7r iii and A7c cameras and is also fairly compact for begging full frame and f2.0 aperture. This build of this lens is like a work of Art. It is gorgeous.Sharpness is pretty good at f2.0 which makes it good for indoor environments when higher shutter speed and low light performance is needed.Recommend pairing the Sigma 35 f2.0 with a nice zoom lens for Travel and General purpose. Also consider the Sony Zeus 35 f2.8

Im going to sell my Sony FE 35mm f1.8 now that I have this lens. Sharpness is so close I cant tell which is better but CA is better with the Sigma and I prefer the rendering in a subjective way that I dont know how to describe. Build quality is obviously better. Aperture ring is awesome. I mostly shoot 35mm and I think finally found my primary lens after trying the Sony, the Loxia, and the tiny Samyang 2.8. All good in their own way but this is my favorite.

I was surprised at the level of sharpness from this lens, even at F2. I was not expecting this level of sharpness and detail I thought could only be found in a ProArt or GM. The bokeh looks very pleasing. Built quality great. Focus is very fast with no hunting. I was looking for a compact lens for my Sony mirrorless and the new I series is perfect.

Sigma created a masterpiece with this lens. Small and light weight makes it an excellent choice for street photography. The 65mm focal length makes a great replacement for the 50mm standard lens every day candid portraits. It is very sharp wide open at f2. The bokeh is excellent. The metal construction makes it extremely rugged.
