I have around 10 lenses in my collection, mostly Canon L lenses, this one is by FAR the sharpest Handheld, with autofocus and without focus peaking why, Canon, why portraits resolve each individual eyelash more often than not. Its autofocus is fast and silent, I havent seen it focushunt yet. F1.4 lets you shoot in most everyday conditions without having to use flash, except to fill shadows. The one drawback is its heavy close to my Canon 70200 f2.8L in weight.

The Sigma 24mm ART is my first Sigma lens and Im impressed by its quality and sharpness. I had a 50mm STM and 24105mm F4. It surpasses both in the sharpness department and Im very impressed at its low light capability. I was debating on the 35mm or 24mm and Im glad I chose the 24mm. It creates a different look and pop to the portraits and street shots I create. I highly recommend this to photographers who love wide angle lenses and want to get in closer than a 35mm focal length.

I bought this used and as a professional photographer and I can say this is among the best dslr lenses I have ever used. Sharp, fast, beautiful tonal transitions, accurate focus once calibrated with the use dock and WAY more solid construction that the Canon lenses. Its a tank, my only gripe is I dont think its weather proof and for someone who has the highest grade professional canon cameras that I can shoot in a tsunami, these lenses should have the same weatherproofing. But the image is even better than the canon L, no doubt. Excited to try all the other lenses in this line

I am a Canon Guy. I own couple of L series lens and love those. I do own couple of non L series prime lens and found them amazing. Thus, I bought Sigma 85mm F1.4 which is fairly cheap compare to Canon but the result is amazing. I have already decided to switch to prime and sigma is making it easier with their Art series. I am ready to purchase my next lens 35mm F1.4 Art but hoping to find them on sale during Christmas.

This lens is amazing. I bought this before the GM version was out and I still love it. It is not light, it is one of the heaviest 24mm and even so awesomeness. It feels very well built, and i like that. The pictures from this lens are very sharp but more importantly, they give it a very warm and closeness feel to it. With this lens you do have to get close but thats what makes those pictures look even better.

Lensrentals are great to work with. Ill repeat that Great to Work With Ive never had a problem with them. FedEx however not so much. My last two rentals have shown up late. Like 3 or 4 days late. This rental was just for fun between the holidays, Lensrentals shipped it ten days before the rental was to begin. More than enough time usually. It sat at the regional FedEx depot for 7 days and was delivered 3 days late. Ill be trying UPS next time.

Ive use the Nikon 85 1.4 in the past. In comparison the Sigma Art 85 1.4 is a much better value. The buttery bokeh and color separation is in intense. I also have the Sigma art 35 1.4 and sigma 70200

This is my first Sigma lens. Have a bunch of L glass so had a pretty high standard set for this lens to live up to. Not disappointed in the least Build quality is right up there with Canons best. Cant really add much to what has already been reviewed as far as focusing, edge sharpness, vignetting etc. All impeccable. Bokeh unbelievable…images have an almost 3D quality. In love

Ive use various lens rentals over the past few months. And these guys are the best, communication is clear lenses are all very clean glasses free of scratches and everything is very smooth. I found a company to stay with.

I have steered away from Sigma lenses for many years, as the result of some bad experiences I have had in the past. That said, when I started reading the reviews on this one I had to give it a try. All I can say is, Oh my, Sigma has really stepped up their game with this lens. The clarity, bokeh, and color saturation is top bar. I took it on a recent mission trip to Haiti and was truly amazed by the quality of images it captured. Get off the fence and take the plunge with this one. You wont be disappointed.

This will mainly be used for landscapecityscape images. I sold my Nikon 2470 and now own the 24, 35 and 50 1.4 Art lenses from Sigma. This one is right up there with the other two. I finally had a chance to go out and shoot some things with it and The results were great. I can tell there is a subtle difference in sharpness compared to shooting my Nikon 2470 and the 24mm length. Like my other Art lenses, I had to use the dock to calibrate this lens. There was a good amount of front focusing out of the box, but with adjustments made through the dock, I didnt need to change the AF fine tuning in either of the two Nikon bodies I have.
