This SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive is listed on Best Buys online site as being a 3.1 flash drive. I incorrectly assumed this USB 3.1 Flash Drive would be as fast as a 3.1 Flash Drive. However when it arrived I saw on its packaging that it is a USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB Flash Drive. According to info on several internet sites apparently because it is 3.1 Gen 1 USB its speed is only equivalent to a 3.0 USB flash drive. According to these online sites A USB 3.1 Gen 2 USB is approximately twice as fast as a USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB.

I have a very slim Lenovo Thinkpad CarbonX that is not easy to expand the internal storage. Now, I can keep the Ultra Fit always plugged in and have an additional 128GB of storage for files and media. I wouldnt put any system files on here in case of disconnect, but its certainly fast enough to store videos and such.

Works great. I bought this to use as a physical backup for my blink camera system. I thought the smaller the profile, the less awkward it will look sticking out of the side of the sync module. Man, this thing is incredibly small. I dont know how they make them this small. Had no problems getting it set up, and I am glad I purchased it.

This little guy is a mixed bag. It is a USB 3.1 drive and VERY small. Its so small that if you want to leave it plugged into your laptop, it wont stick out where its likely to get hit. Thats good since the entire body, including the part that inserts into the USB port, is plastic. It is USB 3.1 compliant and has a potential read speed of around 130 MBs and write speed of 50 MBs. In my tests, it appears to throttle the speed when writing large transfers or large files. The earlier versions of this drive had overheating problems, so its possible this has been designed in to protect the plastic drive and your computer port. This is one of the drives that includes a free year of SanDisks Flashback service. After a year the cost is 4.99 for 128 GB. The price varies depending on the drive capacity. A downloadable program will automatically backup anything place on the drive to the cloud. The idea is youre safe from drive failures or loss. The online interface is pleasant but basic in features. It does allow for file sharing but appears to not allow multiple files to be chosen. The value of this cloud backup feature is going to depend on your needs and other cloud services you may have. Also included is Secure Access a file encrypting program.Pros Exceptionally small, USB 3.1, Flashback cloud storage, Secure Access vault.Con Average price and speed for USB 3.0 or 3.1, less than rugged plastic build.

Decent little drive, should hopefully do the job of being my music drive for the car. Speeds are pretty decent as well for being so small. Write speed just beats out my ageing Corsair Flash Voyager GT rugged drive which Ive had for over 6 years, though do fall short in the write department. But still, just for playing music and not taking up much space, should do the trick.Case now of just seeing how reliability it is.

Using the with USB Media Creation for OS install. 8gb units would have sufficed but for the price you cant beat these. Extra storage doesnt go to waste though as I keep a few apps I use on all my systems stored on the drive as well. Does get warm thought under sustained transfer and the plastic housing kind of worries me sometimes, but so far so good. Max write speeds Ive seen in real time average around 26mbs which is bad for a thumb drive. Bottom line, if you need a good reliable and decent thumb drive the get these.

This 256GB fingernail drive is a most excellent choice for backup of multimedia files. The small form factor coupled with its quiet operation provides a good balance of discreet operation one does not see nor hear it and capacity. The power consumption is low.The USB 3.1 standard gives very fast data transfer rates.I highly recommend this product.

I work on multiple computers and use flash drives to transfer large files, and sometimes to back up critical projects. This drive will get the job done for a few years. I chose it for the amount of storage space for the money. BH is always a good source for good deals.

This is a brilliant little flash drive to use with a laptop or PC. Indeed, its so small, I can leave it plugged in to my Huawei MateBook when I travel and commute. It is a bit of a tight fit but its not a problem and at least it wont fall out or give errors if touched.I did a couple of quick checks with h2testw and CrystalDiskMark see photo. I wont bore you with the gory details. Suffice to say that when connected to a USB 3.1 port, it performs as expected even after a period of sustained use. When heavily used, it can get warm to the touch but not hot. Indeed, its well within its specifications which, temperature wise, are quite generous. I suspect it uses the USB socket and laptop casing to dissipate some of the heat. My MateBook is aluminium which may explain why it runs cooler for me when compared with other reviewers.Im not so sure about the small slot for attaching the device to a keyring or lanyard. IMHO it looks a tad flimsy. However, as I tend to leave it plugged in, thats not really an issue for me.Thus far, this little device has proved reliable and performed without a hiccup. Time will tell as theres little point in having a storage device you cant depend onFingers crossed…….UPDATE, November 2020.I have now also purchased the 512GB version as it was on a special Amazon deal at 54. It also works well as advertised again, Im chuffed

I like it a lot, small size and big storage. It fits perfectly on the side and it does not look too protruding at all. Its top is smooth and rounded so there are no chances of scratching your arm or tearing the bag. I left it in the computer all the time. Small form is really good.

I have a MacBook Pro. This is my manual backup for when I need to upgrade to new Mac OS. I tried an external HD that was good for Macs. Well, each time I used the external HD for some reason it fried my HD. So instead of continuing to damage my MacBook and incur opportunity and repair costs, I decided to go with a Flash Drive. Yes, I use the cloud but I like redundant back up, especially for personal documents etc. I like this flash drive and best of all, it has not negatively affected my MacBook HD.

Ive been using 4 SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD which are really fast. I knew this one shouldnt be as fast as SSD. And I was right. Nothing is wrong with this product but I got used to the speed of SSD.The size is great. Hopefully they can make USBC version in the future so that I can plug it in my MacBook Pro directly.Overall, its good.

I had recently purchased an Nvidia Shield TV and was trying to run a Plex Server on it. Unfortunately the performance was a bit lacking and after doing some research I figured that I should supplement the 16GB that comes with the standard Shield TV with some external flash. The boards also suggested making sure that I stick with specific models of flash and I settled on the SanDisk Ultra product. Since adding the extra memory Im happy to report that the performance of the Nvidia Shield is much better. I have a home NAS that is where all the content is being saved so Im not using the flash drive for that purpose. I like that this product is very small so I dont have anything noticeable sticking out of the back of the Shield TV.

I use this drive for music in my car. Full size drives vibrate out of the usb port as I go down the road. This is small enough that does not happen. Also it has a small loop at the end of the drive so it is easy to get out. I have another drive that just has a smooth bead at the end and is hard to get hold of.I have had a number of Sandisk thumb drives and they all seem to hold up well.Being a 3.1 usb speed is not a problem.

This 256gb ultra small usb 3.1 flash drive is the perfect companion to all notebooks and even desktops for use in local storage of daily documents and non archive files. The archive files can be organized on this portable storage amount ones multiple devices and then uploaded to cheaper high volume web storage like one drive and drop box. Get at least one of these now. If you have precious cant ever lose files than buy 2 of these, label then 1 and 2 and rotate then weekly keeping them cloned so at worst case loosing one of these you still have all the local archival keepsake files safe.

I use mine with a collection of readytogo operating systems in a usb 3 port. I like its low profile and price, I originally bought it to work as extra ram on a windows machine but it got too hot. Was not so keen on the high temperatures so use it almost exclusively for Linux now and it usually only gets warm if Im doing a lot of music or graphics. Its tiny so youll want to think of somewhere safe to put it

Got a couple of these to use in my cars. At 256GB, they hold all the music I care to have in my car. Not sure what else to say, its a thumb drive, it either works or it doesnt. Both of mine worked fine. It gets a little toasty when transferring a lot of files. Its thin plastic, might not be good if youre actually keeping it in your pckets, or backpack mine get plugging into my head unit and stay there till I need to update with new music. I imagine its easy to lose, its TINY. I put a zip tie through the little hook loop its got.

The SanDisk Ultra Fit 64GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive is perfect for my laptop. I also like to carry my flash drives on my keychain so that handle on the end is perfect to attach a strap to it. I cant believe the size of this flash drive plus its capacity I previously purchased a small 90 degree USB plug extension cord and had a former standard size flash drive plugged into it and my laptop. I would use it as a backup. Now, with the size of this Sandisk flash drive I can plug it in direct and no longer need the extension as the size of it rivals a Bluetooth dongle. Data retrieval is incredibly fast as well. SanDisk is my favorite

Seriously, Ive only added 207 folders of music meaning over 6,,623 songs that only totals 55.7GB. So, I will expand my car listening music and ROCK ON This is the most outrageous application that I could ever use, its soooo small and inconspicuous with my long term goal to continually upgrade as new music songs never end. This would calculate to over 90 days of continual listening if played nonstop but even better, there are songs for everybodys listening . I run a 2017 Toyota Corolla and its perfect. I have a maximum of 246 songs per folder. Ive begun borrowing friends CDs and going down to the library to enhance my listening options. I have found other purposes for this, as I am continually making YouTube clips that require background audio so this complements my listening and searching requirements. Imagine every Pink Floyd album on one folder….. it works. Come in here boy have a cigar, youre gonna go far

This ultracompact 256gb USB 3.1 flash drive is very small and easy to transport but also easy to misplace. Also the part of flash drive that is inserted into the USB port is exposed and does not have a retractable cover to protect it during storage or transport. The easy fix was to use the disposable plastic HDMI connector cover that comes with the purchase of all HMDI cable and use that as USB port cover. Other than that no other problems with this USB flash drive

I was looking for a small size flash drive to connect to a laptop without having to worry about it being knock out. This one does that. It only sticks out a little bit from the side.I was able to create a restore drive on it and still plenty of to create a second drive on it for storing files.

I bought these Flash Drives to transfer my music onto from CDs as my new car doesnt have a CD player. The small size makes them inconspicuous in the car so they are less likely to get knocked, unlike my longer ones. The only problem I had with them was that to use them in my car I had to reformat them to Fat 32 format before they would work. All in all an excellent product

Pros Build quality, transfer speed, securityCons A bit expensive and write speed could be betterBottomline The compact drive is perfect to store your data securely as it comes with data encryption. Also, it has data recovery to restore your precious data in case of any mishappening. The overall performance of the drive is good, just not happy with its write speed, that could be better.

Not usually much you can say about a USB memory stick, but this one surprised me in two ways.First it is way faster than any of my other USB sticks and second, it is absolutely tiny So small that I put a key ring on it so I wouldnt lose it. When inserted into my MacBook its almost invisible. So its fast, has great capacity and almost ridiculously small, seems to be the best way to describe it. Oh, and its very affordable, whats not to like

When buying Flash Drives most of the time I buy Sandisk…its a well know brand and the drives have been always great. This in particular is really small, 64 gb and with a good price…My only concern with it is that its all over plastic and that might be an issue in terms of durability … but not enough to take a star out of it..So far Ive been happy with the purchase and I recommend it if you are looking for a small and affordable flash drive

I purchased this drive for my Korg Pro Arranger Keyboard. I didnt want a long flash drive sticking out of the USB port on the keyboard and I wanted one just for my keyboard. This drive is totally out of the way while providing space to transfer my music files between my computer and keyboard. With this I never worry about anything hitting it and breaking my port and I dont have to ever remove it unless I need to transfer files to my computer or copy update files back to my keyboard. Keyboard recognized it swiftly and formatted it. So far Im extremely happy with this drive.

Amazing flash drive. It is very very small. I got it as a gift for my sister to backup her entire old desktop computer. This is actually a perfect flash drive for a laptop as you can probably just leave it plugged in and not really see it sticking out more than the wireless mouse connector

Excellent storage, and excellent for the size. Great to add to the ol consoles and just have a few extra gigs for games and take to friends. The thing gets a bit hot at times, like kids wont want to hold it by the metal part after its been pulled out after just being used. Still working good a years plus later.

It slides nicely over the connector of the USB A to USB C adapter I bought separately, and this gives the two pieces the feeling of being a oneunit thing. However, the plastic in one location of the body is overly thin. So, I wont be putting it into my pants pockets. Despite, I would buy it again. Very light.

Very small and neat. Smaller than a thumb nail. Can be kept in a laptop all the time unlike larger USB memory which can damage your motherboard if you knock a larger USB device while its in use. This one is very hard to knock in that way. Its easy to set up as a backup device to be available at all times which makes it more likely that you will do it. The size of 128GB gives you plenty of backup storage. Just take care where you keep it when its not in your laptop. Being so small, its quite easy to misplace. Nevertheless I would recommend this memory stick as a handy device to store spare copies of your files.

I used this to transport an MP3 version of a very large CD library for another computer to use for playback. This worked very well.I would also recommend these for mobile applications. The Sandisk products seem to work better for me in more punishing applications such as the hot and cold from a car when using with a stereo system. These small units are easy to keep hidden or stored for easy access. Sort your playlists on different drives and make your long trips that much more enjoyable.

I have a SanDisk Cruzer Fit which is slow USB 2 but runs only warm. This SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3 is much faster but runs very hot idling and extremely hot when transfering data.I have checked the current and both Cruzer and Ultra use about 100mA so the heat can only be due to the Ultra Fit having a very flimsy plastic sleeve. The Cruzer is metal.Although SanDisk Customer Support have told me that the heat is not an issue my laptop case gets very hot above and below the port. The internals must be sufferingAlthough I bought it to remain in the port I am having to use it on a short USB extension cable to keep the heat away from my laptop.SanDisk have released a product not fit for purpose.

This is a great flash drive. I am using it as a time machine backup for my macbook. It works great and I often forget it is there when I pack up the laptop, which is what I wanted. A set it and forget it travel backup. The one negative is that it is plastic around the USB part of the drive that you insert into the port where most are metal, so I suppose it could break easier, even though it is probably not going to move around much since it is inside the port and the hit required to break it could also bend a metal one.

I used this to create a Windows recovery drive for a computer that wound up just having a bad hard drive. I havent bought a USB drive in probably 10 years so I had no idea they were even putting 128 GB on a low profile stick like this. Everything worked fine, the only reason for four stars instead of five is that it becomes pretty warmnearly hot to the touch after use.

I purchased this due to the storage space on it, which is larger than some operating system drives in laptops. I was also looking for a USB drive that wasnt bulky. This one has a low profile and the little grab handle is perfect when it comes to needing to remove it. It seems pretty fast which is also what I was looking for since some of the older type USB sticks seemed to move at a snails pace. SanDisk is a reputable company which was also a deciding factor. All in all, a great product for the price.

While i think USB 3.0 devices are great, Windows 10 has inherent issues with them. I have several external USB flash drives and portable drives. For some reason, the transfer rate is extremely slow. I have read through a lot of Windows 10 tips on this and nothing works. The transfer rate can be anywhere from 150 MBs to 150 bytessec.

First thing to be noted is just how great I have found the sandisk brand to be. As a semi professional photographer, I have over two dozen sandisk storage products and not once have I been let down by any of them. Between the reliability and performance sandisk has given me over the years, they have made themselves the brand I now use exclusively. First thing I noticed when opening up this flash drive is just how ridiculously small it is. It really is nearly identical in size as a USB receiver for a wireless keyboard or mouse. I see the small size as a positive for someone like myself who carries many different items in my camera bag andor accessory bag and I need all the space I can get. And since this flash drive has a small hook on it, I can easily attach it to a keychain or other accessory. This is my first USB 3.1 device and I regularly transfer photos and videos between memory cards, flash drives, and hard drives. However there is a noticeable difference when transferring on this 3.1 device compared to a 3.0 and especially a 2.0. Although the transfer speed of this flash drive is impressive, perhaps the most impressive feature is the new sandisk flashback feature. As someone who has personally lost a 128gb flash drive that had about…120gb of photos and videos on it…I know how frustrating it can be to lose a storage device of any kind. Luckily I had not formatted my memory cards yet, but it was still extremely frustrating to lose a device that had so much stored on it. Sandisks new feature of cloud storage automatically backing up for you as transfer to the flash drive is extremely helpful. I have a feeling that that feature will be a lifesaver for many people including but not limited to students, artists, and content creators. All in all a great product that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Have copied over multiple video files to this guy and consistently get 40 MBs to 50 MBs sustained writes to it when copying over 2 GB video files.I have used it on my Windows 10 PC then popped it into my Chrome OS laptop to watch the movies. Just make sure it is formatted with a file system accessible by Chrome OS. Easiest way to ensure is to just pop into the Chrome laptop and let it format the drive then pop into your Windows PC if you need to copy over files.I also have a USB C adapter for my phone to be able to access the drive from my phone to stream movies to the entertainment center in my wifes Honda Odyssey to keep the kids at bay on long trips in the car.Overall very happy with this thumbdrive especially due to its compact size and storage capacity. I would recommend for anyone looking for a lot of storage space with a small footprint to not stick out far from a PC or laptop.

This is the 2nd one I bought. Initially reading the reviews I was worried that it would be too fiddly to insert, but this is the easiest flash drive Ive ever used. Its really well designed for holding, which leads naturally to inserting it right way up on the first attempt and it doesnt feel fragile. Also, its easy to attach a lanyard or similar, which based on earlier reviews seems to be a new feature. Now I have two the same so I would have liked the option to purchase in different colours

This item is tiny. Storage size is nice. I purchased on sale so the price was acceptable at the time, not sure what they go for currently.Negative, this things overheats every time it is plugged in. I have very huge doubts about the manufacturing quality. Fearful it will catch fire at some point or simply malfunction and go dead loosing any data stored on it. I have never used a usb storage device that I had this kind of worry about.Purchase and use at your own risk

I have had numerous USB Flash Drives over the years, backing up andor transferring pictures, videos, spreadsheets, PDF of IDs… and then I find myself pretty much sticking to SanDisk Ultra Fit nowadays. The low profile of the Ultra Fits means that they wont get in your way even when constantly attached to laptops, Android TV boxes, game consoles, wireless file hubs… and they have so far served me well in all those capacities. The small size also allows me to attach one to my keychain without adding much bulk when in my pants pocket. On that note, this newergen Ultra Fit has a larger, plastic loop thats part of the body vs. the tiny, metal loop that can break off happened to one of the older unit. The older ones also could run pretty hot, but the newer ones have less of a heat problem.I reserve 1 star since one of the older models had a Write Protection problem, not allowing me to add files but OK to delete for some reason, despite my many efforts to rectify the issue changing register settings, formatting through disk management… Although this newer model hasnt given me any issue after 2 months, I will have to give it a few years and see.BTW, I do use the imbedded SanDisk SecureAccess software and find it generally userfriendly. While its not NSAlevel security but good enough for my purpose.

SanDisk is a reliable manufacturer and I seldom have any issues with their products. This flash drive is the small form factor and fits snugly on the side of a laptop without sticking out. This is a new design with a grab tab that makes it easier to pull out of the USB slot when needed, but seems a little on the flimsy side due to all plastic construction. As long as the drive is not being pushed in and pulled out too vigorously, the plastic construction should not be a problem. The drive does seem to heat up a good bit during file transfers most flash drives do this, so the plastic housing may or may not hold up well over longterm use. Maybe Im looking for a problem that does not exist, but other reviews have mentioned the same concern.File transfer speed for USB 3.1 is quick as advertised so no problems there.SanDisk includes a program to encrypt your flash drive for security if needed. The drive also comes with software that enables a Flashback feature that can be used to keep a cloudbased copy of the flash drive which automatically updates when plugging in the drive on any computer with the software installed. I found the initial file synchronization to be exceedingly slow, and suggest that the first backup on any computer be allowed to run overnight to ensure that the files are completely synchronized. If your use is smaller files such as documents or pictures, then the cloud synchronization may complete more quickly. Personally, I got a little frustrated by how long the synchronization took with a relatively small collection of TV and movie files. If you are carrying around a set of documents, term papers, or research on the flash drive to use on different computers during the day, then the cloud backup may be helpful in case you lose the flash drive, damage it, or forget to take it out of a computer. In that situation, you would be able to get to your files from the cloud if you dont have the flash drive in your possession. I mention this because I have had several friends come to me with flash drives that were damaged asking if I could recover their files, and the drives were beyond repair. Each time their flash drive had only copies of their documents didnt have any type of backup so they were up the creek. If they had a cloud backup of their flash drive that worked automatically on their computers, then they would have been OK. As it was, they lost a lot of work and learned a hard lesson about keeping backups of their valuable files.Note that the drive is formatted FAT32 formatted, so using it for large video or multimedia files over 4GB will require a NTSF reformat.Overall this flash drive does the job, is a good compact design, and comes from a reliable manufacturer.

Putting aside my past experiences with SanDisk USB drives and memory going badone bad right out of the package I was once again lured in by price. Wow 16 for 128GB, what a deal. Six months later this thing goes bad just sitting plugged into my computer. I only moved it 3 times. On the third time I used it for months building up a music database. I get up to use it one day and its bad. From what I have surge protection and battery backup on the computer. Im wondering if the compact size is prone to over heat. It would be different if I carried it in my pocket all the time and used it a couple times a day. And I literally have a 10yr old 4G drive from another manufacturer that I do. Im sorry you can mark this down to 5 and it still wouldnt be worth it. Never buying SanDisk again.

They are good, but after extensive use, they overheat and become unusable. I had two of those attached to Nvidia Shield TV as adoptable storage to expand internal memory. They worked fine for few months and they started disconnecting, to my surprise when I tried to pull them out, they were extremely hot I guess the short profile of those flash drives made them susceptible to heat transfer from high performance Android TV box like the Shield TV, which I use mainly for gaming and streaming. I replaced them with SSD and enclosure, which runs faster. But, transfer speeds are awesome. around 100MB.

Neat This little gizmo just sits in one of my two USB ports ready for overflow from the smallish main drive in my laptop. I got it mainly as an intermediate destination for backups, which are synced from it to the cloud. Backing up to the main drive takes up space on it, and having it on a stick makes it even more secure. I couldnt do that with a normalsized flash drive, as Id keep knocking it all the time, so I got this, which feels secure. It comes with software to have an encrypted section on it that you can just drag and drop to or from, which is also pretty useful.

It also seems less vulnerable to accidental damage because it protrudes very little from the edge of the device its plugged into. Comes with password protected vault so files and folders cannot be read by anyone even if the drive is lost. Pretty easy to drag files back and forth between computer and flash drive. I got three of these and rotate them as backups that I keep in different locations again with ease of mind because all of the data are encrypted. Doesnt have the LED indicator that I like on other flash drives that signals readwrite.

Its hard to know how to start a review about a USB portable flash drive but I think its worth mentioning how incredibly small this one is.So small in fact that I put a key ring onto it to reduce the chances of losing itSmall it may be but its also very fast. In fact its probably the fastest flash drive I have, so very happy with that.Talking of fast, the delivery arrived earlier than expected so theres another reason to be happy.Highly recommended.

I bought this to use in two different digital converter boxes that have overtheair recording functions. Some manufacturers of these boxes specifically state USB flash drive is not recommended for recording function…require USB 2.0 or 3.0 external hard drive and a number of reviewers have reported difficulties in their attempts to record TV programming using flash drives others have recommended reformatting in NTFS. Despite these warnings, I just plugged the Sandisk in and hit the record button didnt bother with any formatting and got my show. Recordings made on one box play flawlessly on the other as well as on my PC using VLC media player. Of note though, I havent yet recorded any programming running longer than one hour. The small form factor is a major plus as the USB ports are on the front faces of both my boxes it ensures the drive from being accidentally knocked off and it just looks so much better. My only complaint is that there is no protection for the plugin interface. My DVR boxes are in different houses so I wrap the drive up in an envelope to keep it clean and safe during its transport. Some sort of covercap would have been nice. This oversight is not enough to dock a star looking at the glass half full, its harder to lose the drive when its in an envelope.

Absolutely ideal flash drive for laptops that will be sliding in and out of bag. Rounded corners dont catch on anything. Not that it matters since its almost too small for my fingers to pull out. You wont even notice its there when plugged in. That said, if you are gonna be pulling out nonstop and using in lots of different devices. You may actually want something a tad bigger to prevent accidentally loss. This thing slides in a seat crack in vehicle…good luck finding it lol

this thing gets ridiculously HOT…. 100F measured with infrared thermometer when it gets about 90F it started to drastically decrease its write speed.. 300k and it stays slow or slower until its done and can cool off… i did a test.. I put it in a baggy and put it in the freezer for 10 mins.. then i tried again, and instantly i had 4060MB write speeds… it getting hot when you try and transfer GIGS worth of info .. google this situation and you will see many people complaining of this very issue..

Bought this to double the storage of my 256GB Asus Tuf Gaming Laptop. At first I thought it wouldnt work so well for playing games but Modern Warfare Warzone loaded quickly and played smoothly. It barely looks like anything when plugged in… The only issue that occurred was plugging it in seemed like it needs a little more force than other USB flash drives, then again maybe its more secure in the slot.

I purchased three of this USB device. I have one of them connected to a digital picture frame that runs for many hours every single day. So far the USB device is doing its job. The other two USB devices are disconnected and are ready for use ondemand, whenever I need to use them, for transferring data from a computer to another computer, etc.

I have never had a bad word for Sandisk or Western Digital…BUT. I have 2 smaller capacity 16GB 32GB ones like this but with metal USB plug and they do not have this problem. It says transfer an entire move in seconds. WELL, it started transfering and raced to 70mb then 10 seconds into the transfer slowed to 1.kb and stayed slow. I reached the side of my laptop to check the thumb and the side of the laptop case around the USB was very hot to the touch. I noticed that as it cooled it started speeding up a little, but as soon as it heated back up it slowed right back to single digit kb transfer. I tried the same thing on my other tiny drives and they both stayed steady at 38mb and did not heat up at all. I dont know if that kind of heat would damage anything inside the laptop, but was unwilling to take that chance. I returned this ultra fit 128GB and got me another Ultra stick 128GB. this one has a metal USB plug and sits outside of the laptop as a thumb and did not heat up and transfered the movie at 68mb.

I own and have owned a LOT of flash drives, I bought this one because of its size and so far have not been disappointed fingers crossedRead and Write speeds are almost exactly as advertised. No, this is definitely not the fastest drive on the market apps 130MBs Read and 5060MBs Write, but for the price usually under 20 for the 128GB it is one of the best deals Ive found. Yes, there are drives with near SSD speeds like the Extreme Pro, Corsair Voyager GTX, etc. However, you can expect to pay 3x or more for the same capacity. Anyone complaining about speed is either cheap, or does not understand that USB 3.1 is only a standard NOT the actual data transfer speed. The only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is because the drive is made of thin, cheap, flimsy plastic that will easily break if you arent careful and because the drive operates at such an extreme temperature that Im very uneasy about using it for files I really care about.I bought this drive because Im going back to school for Electrical Engineering and I know that these components are not designed to run at extreme temps like it does for extended periods of time So far it has let me down, but I am very cautious about making daily backups. Finally a side note to think about… this is in NO WAY a fault of the drive or manufacturer, but the drive is sooo small that I tend to either forget about it or physically lose it on a regular basis. I really wish they had included some sort of adapter or cap to use with a keyring I would probably not recommend this for younger students for this reason only. Other than that its been a good all around drive

Perfect for being out of the way. Use in my car for music. If you use a normal size drive there would be a good chance o being hit and damaging the device or worse the cars input socket. Great transfer speeds. I do wish they would supply an optional lanyard, as I made my own for easier removal.

I bought this with the intention of backing up my photo projects shortterm so I can confidently clear all the images from my memory card after a project. The USB card works perfectly for that. It is so small I keep it installed all the time and barely notice it.When I bought my current laptop, I got a fast SSD drive instead of a comparablypriced HDD with a lot of storage space. This USB drive has the same capacity as my computers hard drive so it forces me into the good practice of using my internal drive only for storage of current and pending projects. When I am done editing a project, I copy that folder to the SanDisk drive and delete the original unedited version. At the end of the month, I copy all of that months photo projects to an external hard drive. I periodically copy those monthly folders to other drives and clear files of my laptop.Note that transferring data to the SanDisk USB drive is slower than transferring to an external hard drive, its not a big thing but just dont expect blazing transfer speed. I usually start a transfer at a point where Im ready to be away from the computer for a few minutes, no biggie and its a small price to pay for the convenience and peaceofmind.

The SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB Flash Drive is TINY Its called UltraFit because its barely sticks out from your laptop so you can slip your laptop into your bag and you dont have to remove it. Try doing that with a standard USB flash drive. Its not the kind of drive you want to carry in your pocket as you will lose it. Its made to be additional storage for your notebook rather than a drive to carry spare files in. Yes you obviously can copy files to it and use it to transfer the files to another computer but when you pull it out of your notebook get a good grip on it or you might fling it across the room as you pull it out. It has a small loop on it that you can attach a small strap or even hang it on a chain if you really want to.The drive is pretty fast as it does have a USB 3.1 interface. It says on the package that the drive has a read speed of up to 130 Mb per second and write speed is lower based on the host device. I transferred 190 files 34.8Gb to the drive in 26.30 minutes and then read from the drive back to the computer in 1521 minutes. Not bad for such a large amount of files but remember your speed will vary depending on your computer and operating system. They include the software for password protecting the drive using 128bit encryption for Windows and a link for downloading the software for the Mac. They also include a free one year subscription for SanDisks Rescue Pro should your files get corrupted and they give you one free year of online file storage as well. You really cant go wrong with SanDisk drives, I have been using them for years and they have always worked fine.

Been using several of these drives for a long while now. They work fine. They are fast, very portable and they dont get too hot. The older version of this drive got very hot because it was made of metal. This plastic version gets less hot so that is a good thing even if the materials are of less quality than the previous version. The only downside is that i wouldnt recommend this drive for continuous access like using it for an Nvidia Shield or any other device that you leave this plugged in to be used 247.Ive had 2 of these drives die on me when i used them that way.I would advise for another type of drive for those situations. For regular use, these should work fine.

The Sandisk Ultra Fit 3.1 Flash Drive is so tiny and must be pushed in all the way when you install it. When you open the drive folder there are three files1. Sandisk SecureAccess PDF, with very clear instructions on setting up a secure vault to store your most sensitive data. The personal password automatically encrypts your files so you have an extra layer of security.2. Scandisk Flashback pdf advertising3. ScandiskSecureAccess V3.01 app. When you click on the app you will need to install an updated version. The Flash drive comes with one free year of cloud storage. However, the charges are minimal and based on size of the flash drive, i.e., the 128GB is only 4.99 a year, 32GB 1.99 and 16GB .99. So, you can certainly afford to keep using the service. Of course, it has to be a Flashback enabled drive and purchased after Nov 2018. However, I dont see why I cant transfer older files from nonFlashback enabled flash drives and eliminate several older 16GB flash drives.I really like the concept of the Vault as you can easily share other nonsensitive files between devices while files in the vault will remain secure. To test the speed, I copied a folder with several large data bases and I was amazed at how fast the folder transferred. By the time I closed the file explorer and checked the Scandisk drive, it was done. The 128GB drive is certainly large enough for me and the price is good. The benefits with this new disk drive are definitely worth the cost. Sandisk has an excellent reputation for reliability and I have successfully used smaller Sandisk drives in the past.

This is one of those things where you forget its even there if its doing what its supposed to do. We have a very simple file share setup on the USB of our router for things that dont need to go to cloud storage, but that we want to share between the computers in the houseoffice. We had an external USB hard drive attached for a while, but it started acting up. Replaced it with this a couple weeks ago and havent noticed it, so that means its working perfectly. It doesnt store as much as the old hard drive 2TB, but for what we really need, 128GB is way more than enough.

Im a dj and was in need of more storage space since laptops come with small drives now. This usb drive was on sale and even though its smaller 256GB than the other drives around the same price, I felt the speed and portability made up for it. I have my entire library music I constantly use with tons more room.Just like others stated, the usb drive gets warmhot. I really thought it was plug and leave but you still have to eject and plug back in which is a little scary because the housing is plastic instead of aluminum like the earlier versions.Overall great tool to use for backup and or main storage.

Very small form factor makes for a great space saving drive however, that same small form factor can make it easy to loose as well. Likely a fluke, but one had to be returned after 34 of the 128GB suddenly stopped responding and the drive only showed 32 GB available. Second one has not been an issue.Make sure you have a designated place to keep, very easy to loose without.

The SanDisk Ultra 256GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive has the shortest installed protrusion from the side of the computer that I was able to find in the market. This made it useful to leave installed as a second disk drive in my Surface Book 2. The SB2 also has a SD card slot, but Microsoft did not make that slot deep enough for the SD card to lay flat. In fact, half of the SD card sticks out.The SanDisk also comes with encryption software, so you can protect your data from being pulled out of the side of your laptop. However, I found this software clunky to use, and not completely secure. So no 5 stars. Still, encryption software is available, so no big deal.Access is very fast when using USB 3.1, and it works with USB 2.x.

This Ultra Fit was very small but worked great. Files and music were simple to transfer and play back had no issues. The big issue is that it broke in a little over a month of use. The plastic loop that is attached at the end cracked and within a day fell off and now the actual Drive is cracked at the seam at the top. Very flimsy and would not purchase again.Unfortunately, the return date has passed. I have had to tape it together in order to be able to safely remove it from my computerstereo and this was with normal usage and never dropping it or stepping on it.I would not recommend this product. Get something sturdier until they figure out how to make these compact flash drives more sturdier.

For general file storage works as expected. However, when tried to use as music storage USB connection in 2017 Kia Sorento with base radio file access was slower and in error state from time to time requiring drive to be unplugged and plugged back in. I returned to using a larger in physical size but smaller capacity 32 gb instead of 64 gb that still takes a few seconds to be recognized but does not error also by Sandisk. Issue may be just due to larger capacity but since I cant use it for the reason I purchased it, 1 star.I have purchased the 128 gb size of this drive and the 64 gb version in the past to be used as the operating system drive for Windows 10 due to an Allinone pc that had a failure of its single SATA connection. PHYSICAL PROPERTIESI was looking for a small drive to replace my Verbatim Micro USB drive, which is an ultra small drive that fits in my wallet pocket. The SanDisk Ultra Fit, while approximately the same width and length, is over 3x as thick full height USB. I may see if I can take the drive apart and isolate just the flash chip to make it more portable, although it looks like this may be more difficult than on other drives Ive had due to its construction. The drive has a 1sided grip, which may be a problem for removing the device for instance, my monitor USB port has a lip on it, and the grip tucks under that, so I can only pull the drive out by the sides, which is quite difficult. If Im able to take it apart, I should be able to get a much better grip on it. The drive is all plastic and feels pretty cheap.READWRITE SPEEDSMy tests were done on Windows 10 PC with a highend SSD using a USB 3 port. I left it in the default exFAT.When sequentially reading mixed files, I get about 80 MBs.When sequentially writing large files 500 MB per file, it very briefly started at about 55 MBs then quickly dropped to 30 MBs. After copying about 10 GB, it dropped to 1620 MBs before finally dipping to about 5 MBs in the last 5 GB. Keep in mind there werent any files on the drive yet and all files were copied at once, so the lag in the last 5 GB doesnt make a lot of sense. When sequentially writing small files KB to a few MB, it is no faster than a USB 2.0 drive, averaging around 1 MBs write speed.INTERFERENCEIve never had a USB 3 drive cause interference with my Logitech mouse wireless transmitter, but this one does for some reason. It causes the mouse cursor to lag and jump around the screen. Ive put an extender on the mouse transmitter and so far that seems to work, although I havent tested it extensively.TAKEAWAYIt doesnt perform much better than the Verbatim drive it replaces, but it does have a lot more storage, which I needed. And its cheap. If I can take it apart okay, it will be worth the upgrade, although Id much prefer to pay more for a quallity halfheight USB 3 drive that performed well, but they dont seem to exist.

Im really disappointed with this drive. The price is good for a drive of this size and the small physical size is nice. Having revealed the pros now the major con this drive is way too slow for a 256GB drive. I have two USB 3.1 ports and two USB 3 ports on my PC. No matter which port I use the results are the same 40MBs read and 24MBs write. The specs say up to 130MBa read and anything over 100MBs would work for me. Ive been buying SanDisk products for the better part of twenty years and this is the first product of their that I havent been happy with.

I bought this to move my enormous photo gallery from my Windows 10 laptop to my MacBook Air. This flash drive should be able to fit the entire collection. The problem came in when I used the secure vault. Software for each operating system must be downloaded before the secure vault feature can be used. When I tried to open the vault on my Mac after transferring the pictures from the PC, I was unable to retrieve the photos because the vault would not open with the Mac. So, I would not recommend this if you are trying to move files between two different operating systems.

I bought a 64GB one too but the car stereo doesnt like anything over 32GB. I wasnt able to format it FAT32. This 32GB drive however is fine. Perfect for your car or your UHD players front port. Speedwise, this thing literally performs worse than my USB 2.0 Samsung Cruzer of the same storage capacity while writing. As I write this, it is copying 100GB of MP3 files at rates ranging between 700KBsec and 3.5MBsec. The USB 2.0 Cruzer would consistently move closer to 5MBsec. I began around 8pm, and it wont be done before I go to bed tonight. Total estimated time is over 12 hours, so by this math, it would take you a whole entire 24 hour day to fill this drive with music. You might ask yourself if Im using a 2.0 port, but I assure you Im not. Just this morning I was copying the exact same files from the exact same source in the exact same fashion to a Western Digital USB 3.0 HDD at 25MBsec on the same port. I assumed from the product description that this would be faster, but I was profoundly disappointed, and you will be too. If you want to buy a cheap thumb drive, buy a 2.0 drive for half the price. This thing is SLOW Upside Its small and has a high capacity. I have yet to determine reliability, but I doubt Samsung would sell me something that corrupted my data like some cheap Chinese piece of garbage.

Appears to be a bit slower than expected. I am using it to add to the limited SSD on my laptop and I leave leave attached to the USB port. The small size allows it and easily fits my bag without putting undue stress on the port. I intend to use it in my cars for music storage and playback, so I wont have to handle it that often, but it feels like with repeated use insertingremoving from USB port it may not last. I also bought a Samsung usb stick at the same time and it seems infinitely sturdier I should have spent a couple of pounds more and not gone for this one. Not much to say about this its a flash drive and it can store a lot of data by todays standards. I needed something that could handle over 128GB and briefly toyed with the idea of burning blu ray discs to give to the person who needed the data Id recovered stuff from the hard drive on a failed laptop. The only dig I can see is its small and can be easily lost, but I put a keychain ring on it and well see if thats enough to keep me from doing that. Ive bought multiple solid state memory devices from SanDisk and will likely buy more in the future. Never had a problem with anything with their name on it. While the USB stick is advertised as being 128gb it in fact is only 114gb. This is not the fault of PicStop. A member of staff responded to an email from me and sent a link to the Sandusky website and also took the time to explain why this is the case in an email. Not being very tech savvy I didnt completely understand the explanation behind this but it would appear that the size of memory you pay for is not what you get. Hence 3 stars. That aside I am happy with the stick. It is small and compact and the rate of file transfer is good.

It is made out of plastic and I wish it had been made out of stronger material like metal. If you have a slow upload Internet account, putting a one gigabyte video file on it could take a while to upload the cloud account and could easily slowdown your computer. This is something you ought to know because no matter how fast your Internet download may be, many less expensive accounts have far slower upload speed. The Flashback also works with SanDisk ultra flash drives, as well. Somehow even after I formatted the ultra fit flash drive, the program still recognized the drive, and when I tried to use Sandisk Cruzer Glide drive older, cheaper thumb drive, the program does not work with it, nor would it work with any other brands of thumb drives so if you think you can download the program and use it with your own thumb drives without paying for one of these since it is easily downloaded from their website, you can forget it. Here is the address httpswww.sandisk.comflashbackapps It is available for Windows, and Mac operating systems.By the way this little drive gets hot. It doesnt get warm it gets hot. I dont know if this will shorten its life.I think it is very useful to save important documents for example for students since the files are uploaded to a cloud account automatically. The good thing that I did not mention about this system is that if you misplace the actual drive, the files are still there and can be restoredpretty much means you can download them onto your local computer hard drive or another thumb drive. And any files that are deleted from the thumb drive are available to be undeleted on the cloud account for 30 days. Although I have very fast download speed, my upload speed is not fast enough to patiently test the system. I wanted to upload hundred gigabytes files and delete them, and see if 100 gigabytes space will count toward the 128 gigabytes space.I dont think it is very suitable to be used as something to copy the files from one computer to another unless you logout of the flashback program, and lastly it does get very hot so I dont think it should be used for this purpose.By the way, it also comes with Sandisk SecureAccess, but for the life of me, I cant get it to even install. It wont recognize the drive even after I plugged it into a different port. So I was unable to test it.Lastly, but probably importantly, Google Chrome had a tough time logging onto the flashback website. Microsoft Edge which I seldom use works better. Chome logs on, but it wont display the status page. Reloading didnt help.I think that a cloud account and they are many of them out there now may have similar and overlapping capabilities yes, they do. But this particular drive is not expensive so if you dont have a cloud account yet, this would work well. Just remember that the first year is free, and it is as big as the drive and not something much bigger like Google cloud account which couild be massive.

This Flash Drive worked better than other high capacity flash drives that I tried. Its 3.1 compatible so perhaps thats the reason. Ive found that sometimes high capacity flash drives are painfully slow to use. This one loads faster than any other that Ive used.

I liked it at first. Copied couple of photos and everything looked good. Havent used it much. Today decided to put my music collection on it but it failed to write some files. Tried to reformat just in case with no success and now it is not seen be any computer. First SanDisk product that failed on me.

This thing is so small, about the size of a 5 to 7 tall stack of dimes. Considering this bigger holds 128GB, is just nuts. I am pleased. Bought this to replace a 3 inch long SanDisk cruiser glide 128 GB stick that has been running my music on my truck stereo. The other one was a high risk of getting destroyed, and had already been bent as it hung out where passengers would move around. This sticks about a 14 or 13 inch out from your USB port. This is USB 3.0 or better. Thats about all there is to say.

I bought mine new in December 2018. It has a 5 year limited warranty. But these CANNOT be used for continuous write operations, such as video recording surveillance cameras This voids the warranty They do sell high endurance flash memory for such things. It lasted almost 2 years before becoming read only. Fortunately no data was lost. They become read only when the flash memory wears out and no more good blocks are available to store data. I had it formatted as NTFS to use with Windows. It wasnt written to very often, but perhaps the file access times were constantly being updated by Windows and this wore out the flash memory.

Lets just say this isnt your old school USB flash drive that you used to take around everywhere on a keychain or possibly in your backpack with the bulk on it. Surprisingly when I opened it I found it to be really really tiny almost the size of your thumbnail and then some. It works well with nice capacity available on different models 32, 64, 128. Etc. I like that it had a good storage and it was almost seamless in size no, it does worry me that I might lose it being that its so tiny, the size of the USB a port essentially with a little bit of a hump. Though it is built by prostaking material so I guess it is good as far as environmental stuff is concerned to keep glass metal around. I did feel it did get a little warm by touch but its still was efficient at the points I used it. With having 3.1 USB standards it should also provide a nice boost and speed compared to Old USB 2.0 or even 3.0 speeds. Though this wont matter with your computer having those sports available to utilize the 3.1 speeds otherwise it is a simple USB a type input into your computer

I paid a bit more to get a quality flash drive because I wanted it to be a permanent pluggedin storage device for my laptop. There were cheaper options, but I guessed that I could rely on SanDisk. That has paid off because its first class and does the job perfectly. Its also very small and discreet, so it sits neatly on the side of my laptop without getting in the way. How on earth can they store so much stuff on a thing thats so tiny Anyway Im very happy with the product and would recommend it. Having tried cheap USB drives in the past and found them faulty or unreliable, I do recommend using a quality product. Whats the point of storing things on a drive thats going to lose them

I can listen to my entire music collection while driving without having to use a subscription service. Small profile means it wont get hit, broke or knocked out when I toss other things into the phone charger compartment or when Im plugging things into the television. I hope they sell more like it. Its extremely useful and I will be buying more.

I love the size of these drives and have used a number of them over the years. I like the fact that they dont stick out as far as other drives and are less likely to get bumped. Traditional thumb drives always seem awkward with a laptop and this shape solves the problem. While there is nothing at all wrong with this new incarnation of this drive I will say that the new all plastic housing feels kind of flimsy compared to the old stainless steel one. The other thing I noticed about these drives is that they get pretty warm when plugged in, I dont remember this in the old version. Being all black, these seem to vanish inside the black interior of my briefcase so Ive started keeping them in a small zip lock bag to keep up with them. My negative observations have nothing to do with the functionality of these drives, they work perfectly. I deduct a star because I really like the old version better.

I have been using these for 6 months and they are solid, well built and are almost flush with the USB port. The larger stick USB drives are more likely to get bumped into and broken so I prefer these. Samsung work better for me than the offbrand thump drives that regularly fail. Highly recommended.

wanted backup destination that was faster than network backups. at first, it completed in 2 hours but after a few weeks take 45 hours. write speeds 5mb 35mb. reads 5080mb. best part is the size. made in China i bought a 256gb and found that was much better than the 128gb in read and write speeds. manufactured in Taiwan. I would strongly recommend 256gb over 128 if speed is important.

These USB SSD drives I have two are abysmal for write performance. They heat up a LOT when in use and their write performance declines rapidly. Trying to write a 21G file from my local SSD to this USB SSD takes over an hour, but if I just transfer the same file from the same local SSD to an SMB network share over 802.11ac wireless, it takes about 4 minutes. Other SSD drives connected to this same computer and transferring this same file that Ive used, even from SanDisk e.g. a 128G microSSD attached via a microSSD USB converter, worked MUCH faster and reliably for writes. Read performance appears to be decent and does not heat up the drives as much.

I bought 2 of these tiny Sandisk Ultra Fit 64gbs. They are amazingly fast to read and write. Its insane how fast USB 3.1 is.I bought them to use them in my car, but noticed one thing its not as well temprature resistant as the bigger drives. While tiny, and fits anywhere, the thermal issues if the car is hot, it may go out of its operating range are a bit worrysome. As long as its not critical data for long term storage its fine. So far its worked well this past summerfall and into teh winter. Heat is a bigger issue than the cold….

The progress of technology is amazing. I first bought a USB about 15 years ago and it was 256MB and cost A70. At the price per MB this 256GB USB should have cost about A72,000. It is so compact with such a large storage which is almost unbelievable. And to think that my total computer storage at that time was 15GB. Most impressed that I will now be able to store many files in such a minute size.

Purchased to transfer files from Windows 7 machine to new Windows 10 machine. Also using it as hard drive backup to my new laptop instead of the old external 12 year old hard drive that I used on my old Windows 7 laptop. Cant believe how small it is about the size of my small fingernail The section that fits in the USB port is larger than the part that is actual memory, which is 256GB. More memory than I will ever need. One disappointment is that this thumb drive does not automatically back up my files as my old external hard drive used to do. I have to manually send files to the drive for saving. Otherwise, it works as it should.

The increased storage capacity whilst retaining its small size makes it ideal for the storage of photos, correspondence and whatever you might want to keep secure. It is also ideal for keeping several of them in a desk drawer enabling quick access to all of the information you have stored on each SanDisc and of course its easy to take with you whilst your on the move. Brilliant.

This is a very compact thumb drive. The 128gig is a nice size and can hold practically everything I have. It is almost a little TOO small, and could be very easy to loose if you dont keep track of it.The different thing that sets this drive apart from other drives Flashback. This is a feature that automatically backs up everything that you put on the drive into the cloud. If you loose this thing which you might you wont loose all your files. The service is easy to sign up for, and is free for a year 5 bucks a year after that for 128gb, which is CHEAP. From my testing, the automatic feature works quite well. Once a file is transferred to the drive, it is immediately then uploaded to the cloud. The flashback website works quite well and is easy to navigate. You can share files with other people by using the cloud, you do not have to physically hand them your drive, which is a nice touch. There are many cloud services out there, and this one works just as well as any of them. The good news is that it is priced very well.

This newer style Sandisk nano Usb scores well with me due its small size. My 256Gb was about 26 and represents great value at this price. It is not a fast device, mine managed 4020 MBs write Usb3, 5Gb video file transfer and 150120 MBs read, whereas my 1TB External Samsung Evo ssd will do 400MBs with no drop off in speed, doing exactly the same test. It gets hot during extended writes, and flattened my laptop battery when I left it in the charging Usb port overnight, so dont do that It feels a bit flimsy too, compared with the older style Sandisk nano. It has a thin folded plastic sleeve around the connector, which is a very tight fit in a Usb port. I was concerned it might break my Usb port so I pushed it into an old laptop Usb port a few times, to squeeze it into a shape, whereby it would fit without so much force required. It doesnt come with a nice cover, which was a feature I liked on my older model. It stops debris getting into the connector blade, so I have my newer model stuffed into the lid of an old Usb stick, which isnt the best solution. However.. 256Gb in such a tiny package is a major achievement, so I can forgive any of the issues listed above. If I need superfast transfer, Ill use my 1TB Usb 3 ssd 400MBs or 1TB Usb C Nvme ssd 600MBs. All tests done with a 5.5GB video file

I liked its compact size, however the plastic surrounding the drive is very flimsy. After about a week of using it, a piece already broke off. It is still fully functional, but I have to put it into a small protective plastic box to transport it, defeating the purpose of its small size. SanDisk makes plenty of other good drives and products and I am happy with all and will keep on buying them, but Ill stay away from this one.

This is a fast drive. You can read all the specifications, but need to try the drive with your own data to appreciate how fast this drive is. This drive also has plenty of capacity. 128 GB is a meaningful upgrade over 64 GB, to the extent that the user doesnt have to worry about capacity. The drive also is well designed physically. Its small, which makes it vulnerable to being dropped or lost. But its also easy to carry in a pocket. The drive fits in a USB port with only about one quarter inch projecting out. Thus a laptop or other device can be carried with this drive in place, without worry that the drive will be broken off.

Overall, I like this device. It has a few extra features that I am not sure how they fit into my life but it is not required. I will discuss more below.UnboxingThe device is pretty simple. It has the USB drive, a voucher for the flashback software and a voucher for RescuePRO software.Build qualityPretty good This is the 128 GB model. I went for this one since it has USB 3.1 support for higher speeds. The device is extremely tiny and will be great if you leave it plugged into a laptop as it does not protrude too much. The design has a curved indentation that is functional at the end, for one it provides a little extra grip to grab it when pulling it out, second it has a hole in it so you can connect it to a lanyard keychain.PerformanceIt has plenty of storage space at 128 GB a little less available. I ran Crystal Disk benchmark on it and got read speeds of 134.6 MBs read and 51.7 MBa write. This speed is actually BETTER than what is advertised on the website 130 MBs. In transferring a 3.3 GB file I got between 130 140 MBs read and between 35 70 MBs write. It looks like it had a burst speed for the first third then slowed down to the lower speeds.FeaturesIt is mostly just a great performing small thumb drive But… Sandisk tossed in a few goodies with it. First it has the usualSanDiskSecureAccess software. This is pretty basic software but it allows you to password secure files on the thumb drive that are encrypted and unrecoverable if your drive is lost.Second, it comes with a new software called SanDisk Flashback. To use this, you will need to install the software on your PC Mac. It works very seamlessly and works similar to drop boxOneDriveetc. When you log into the website, you will see any photos and files on your home screen. The interface is nice and seems to prioritize photos. There is a tab for devices which will let you see all of your drives that support the feature. Here is where it gets cool. If you uploaded a nonencrypted filed not in the vault software to the thumb drive, it will also upload a copy to Flashback which will allow you to download any files on your thumb drive cloud to any computer that you access the website from. I have yet to fully integrate this into my work flow but I see a lot of potential for this. Similar to other cloud storage, you can also share links to your files. At first I asked myself why do I need this I have Dropbox and upload things to the cloud already. The advantage of this drive appears to me that you can leave your drive in your laptop permanently expanding storage and always having a local version installed and no longer needing to bring it with me when needed. I know Dropbox and other cloud drives can store local files but this one keeps the storage separate from the main drive. You also have the added ability to take the drive with you if you wish for faster transfers to computers that might not have download speeds needed for a file. In short, it gives you options.SummaryProsConvenientCompactVery fastConsFeatures possibly redundantEasy to loseNo phone app as of yet, only PC and MacSome users will think this is redundant, especially since it costs a few bucks after the firstyear trial to be fair it is dirt cheap, my 128GB will cost 4.99 a YEAR, not month when my trial is over. For others, you might be able to find some very good use out of this ability. I personally think it is slightly redundant, but it is also extremely convenient and allows me to separate certain types of files for a much cheaper price than cloud options. For example, Google drive costs 19.99 per YEAR, this device will only charge 4.99 per YEAR for 128GB, you will save even more if you get a 256GB model.I cant really find any faults in this feature and in the thumb drive. Used properly, you might be able to replace your cloud storage

Works really well on PC, but not on IPad. Bear in mind you need to use the installed vault, so you cant treat it like a normal folder and simply store information freely. It cant be formatted to remove this. The vault is easy enough to use, but Id have preferred the option of not using it. The problem with the vault is that I bought the product to transfer map and other updates to my car, but that cant access the files as the vault requires login on the PC. Ive used it to back up my pc instead.

I keep it in almost 100 of the time because I really like portable apps because I dont have to install them to my hard drive. This drive has a slim profile and a sturdy build that fits nice and tight to the side of my laptop and I dont have to worry about it getting caught on something and tearing up my port. Its not much bigger than the little drives that you put in for a wireless mouse. It also comes with software to encrypt your data if you choose to do so.

SanDisks 512GB Cruzer Ultra Fit Flash Drive does exactly what its designed to do and whats expected of it. Works great with Microsofts Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 6 tablet. The very low profile of this drive is almost flush with the UAG cover on the Pro 6. Also, due to its low profile, it lives on the laptop without worry. This is a basic flash drive, the space is definitely there but the speed….. this is a basic flash drive. It took three hours to transfer 30 GB of media files. These are great. The loop on them seems strong. When plugged into a laptop, they fit snug and do not stick out or get hung up on things when working on a laptop. They also have an easy to see blue edge to distinguish that they are usb 3.0 or above. They are very light and do not clutter up pencil bags and maybe they are a little sharp edged, when not plugged in. These always seem to be the best price for the size.

Dang this thing is tiny. It is a very convenient small form factor USB flash drive. The biggest advantage is being able to leave them in your device. The UltraFit extends out about 14 when plugged into a laptop or other device with a USB 2.0, 3.0 or 3.1 port so you can leave it plugged in all the time. The only down side I can think of is also due to its really small size it could be easily misplaced. I would suggest if you are taking it in and out of a device that you put some sort of leash on it. There is a small loop on the outer most edge that would accommodate a tether of some sort. Now if Sandisk could just incorporate a universal mouse receiver like a Logitech nano then it would be really cool

Appears very unreliable. Toward the end of its life it would work on 1 of my computers and did not initialize on others. The construction of this usb drive is not helping it dissipate heat. When it worked it was very slow approximately 18 mbs write. Nowhere near usb 3.1 specs and I understand that it is the interface speed they are talking about when describing usb 3.1. Usb 3.1 is 10gbs usb 3.0 is 5gbs and usb 2.0 is 480mbs. This drive is behaving like a usb 2.0 drive.

I needed a small flash drive to transfer save files between PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. I bought this because of its small profile, large storage space, usb 3.0, and it was on sale. Its a good device until I encountered the one negative that I saw among the reviews. This small flash drive is very difficult to remove from its port. So difficult, that it felt like I was going to break it while pulling it out. You have to be extra careful when handling this device since its smaller than a quarter. If SanDisk made this device half an inch longer, then it wouldnt be a problem. But since it is, Im giving it 3 stars and I do not recommend it. Any usb 3.0 flash drive will do, just take into account the design of the flash drive, and the location of the usb port on the PS4 SlimPro your plugging into.

I had to previous Ultra Fit drive until it was knocked on the floor attached to the computer that fell too. The impact shock killed the drive but fortunately not the computer. So I got a replacement. The differences between this one and the old one 3.1 vs 3.0, plastic vs metal plug. The difference for this is that it doesnt get as hot of the old metal 3.0 drive. The only real negative which I take a star off for is the ability to tell what size it is. The old one had to size in large letters on the top of the plug, this one you have to look at the tiny model number which when plugged you cant see since it is inside the port. Other than that it has decent transfer speeds.

I am running a Linux operating system from this USB so instead of buying an expensive hard drive or SSD, I am able to run full Linux OS from this USB so this product is beyond good.

I purchase this brand for micro SD as well as USB. I have never lost datainformation or experienced any poor quality. I like the raised ends as it make it easier to remove from pc. I use for MP3, MP4 and word docs. Plug and play. I love them and will continue to purchase.

Great deal for a solid flash drive that can be used anywhere. Great storage size and the flash drive size is perfect to use in cars and you wont even notice that it is there. I bought two of these already and so far no issues. Bestbuy has the best prices for these and pick up at store was fast and efficient. Thank you.

I bought this because when I used a standard size flash drive in the USB port of my center consul of my car the small door wouldnt close. With this one being smaller now it will. It would also be good for a laptop USB port. A shorter version has a much less chance of getting hung up on something and ruining the USB port.Works as well as a larger flash drive as far as I can tell. It is small so you need to attach something to so you dont lose it should you drop it.

I bought two USB SanDisk 32G CZ430 Ultra Fit flash drives so that I could listen to music in my vehicles. Guess what Neither one will play in my vehicles. I checked the format, they are fat32. My computer said they are in good working condition, however, they dont work in my car. My vehicle plays two other brands of flash drives just fine. There are many other complaints about this product not working in their car. Just beware.

As small as it can be made. Totally secure eyelet on it, not some little attachment that will break off. It does read at 130 MBs as promised, wrote seq. at about 50 MBsec. This is a plastic case. Previous thumbs of this size were in metal cases, which always corrorded when worn around my neck. So the plastic will be good. But is sure gets hot

Capacity is great. Small profile is great. That claimed 130MB is read speed. Please note… write speeds state UP TO 15X over USB 2 speeds. Key words here are UP TO.I use this device to store flac music files for playback in my car. I have plugged this drive into USB 2, 3 3.1 ports for writing purposes. I have seen extremely marginal performance differences between USB 3 3.1 fluctuates between 35 55 MB when writing anywhere from 200MB 2GB at a time. On a USB 2 port I get speeds around 20 MB on average. I will post test results and adjust figures as needed later as I am going from memory at this point. On another point, the frame of this no longer appears to be made of metal. I would say it is made of some type of composite material. I believe this was done with a purpose on the manufacturer to alleviate the heat issues with the previous model which I also own While it still gets warm while writing, it no longer gets hot to the touch like the previous model did. The heat dissipates much quicker. Given that, I do worry about the longevity and duability of this device should it have to be used and plugged in frequently in many devices.

The tiny footprint makes this perfect as an external storage drive for my wifes laptop. Because it only sticks out a tiny bit, she never has to remove it before putting it in her bag. With the limited size of the SSD in the laptop, this is the best and most economical solution to extend the capability of the machine without replacing the existing hard drive. The USB 3.1 transfer speed is more than quick enough where there is no readwrite lag.Additionally, because its portable, all she has to do to the all her data from laptop to desktop move it from one to the other.

Drive works as expected, fast transfers, great price. So small and blends in with dark furniture and shadows, it is surprisingly easy to misplace. If youre careful to keep track of it, or are able to just leave it plugged in as a bargain supplementary storage drive, this little dude is a great value.Otherwise youve been warned.Caveat emptor and all that.

Small as a wireless mouse adapter. This expanded the exact size of my 2013 model MacBook Pro into a larger storage capacity and is not at all cumbersome. It allows me to double my storage without getting in the way when using a case or taking with me on the go. Amazing how far the technologies have come with flash storage.

OK firstly it is a nice, fast external drive. I have the 128GB version and for file storage its great. I want to use it as an occasional use device to transfer files or save them when needing to take stuff off my hard drive. Its small. Barely longer than my thumbnail. Two issues here 1 its small and neat, which for me is good 2 it could be easy to misplace. Your call as to whether you prefer something longer if you are considering this. There is no cap over the USB connector but I dont see that as a problem, just saying. If you are going to need dust protection this may be a factor. There is a very narrow slot that enables you to put it on a keyring which is what I wanted to do so I always have it with me and dont need to go looking for it in a bag etc. However, this part is plastic and I dont know yet only been using it a few days how robust that will be when in a pocket and the device gets a bit of rough handling there is zero movement in the slot now its on the keyring its pressing against the metal of the ring so need to be gentle in folding the keys away to insert it in the laptop socket so I could see it snapping which would be a bad thing for ensuring it stays safe and then it would make it harder to keep handy all the time on travels. since the device itself is so small, keeping track of where it is in pockets or bags will be harder. But for now its on the keyring and I highlight a potential problem, not at present an actual one. If I bought again I might prefer to go for a longer unit, but then one gets the problem of another bulkier thing to have on a keyring. Pros and cons of first world problems, eh The preloaded software for creating a SecureVault for files stored on the drive is easy to use, if you want or need to use it. Enables a robust password that protects access to files you store there. If you want to delete this feature its also easy. I removed it to begin with as I needed to update Navigation software in my car and the vehicle seemed to have difficulty finding the files if not in the root directory, so I took off all the preloaded files, did the nav software update and then reinstalled the SanDisk stuff. All easy. No other spamware, trial software or other stuff included which isnt the case with some removable drives. So good for SanDisk there. So think about what you need in a portable drive performance is great. Is the hardware right for your purpose For me, a better keyring hook, probably metal, would make it perfect.

Not too much to say about this one. It functions very well as far as flash drives go. The real reason to go for this one over others is its size. If you need a tiny, high capacity flash drive this is what youre looking for. This drive is downright dainty, being about the size of my thumbnail. If thats what you need, get this one. Portable and reliable, nuff said.

This thing is TINY. Its like the size of a thumbnail. That can either be a good or bad thing its easy to lose. The biggest issue is that it gets AMAZINGLY hot like almost painful to the touch. This is even more concerning because the drive is made of cheapish thin plastic, and one wonders how long this thing can last while it cooks itself. I also had a write error, but I reformatted the drive, and I have been using it at my office with a number of computers for about 6 months since with no other errors. Finally, it doesnt seem to hit very high transfer speeds despite being rated as USB 3.1 other USB 3.1 drives at my office write at faster rates.

This is the 3rd one I have bought. Small and stubby so no real risk of it being knocked and damaging port or USB. However, it is quite difficult to grasp if you do keep getting it in and out of the port.Transfer times were approx 40 mins from PC to the USB for around 600 CDs or 7000 tracks using a 3.1 USB port on the PC. Its around 40GB, and as I just leave it copying, thats ok.The first one we bought was over a year ago and havent had any issues, so reliability is 100 so far

PROsUse these USB drives all the time. Never had a failure. This USB3.1 is FAST not as fast as the 3.1 specs allow but at least 5x faster than my other USB2 Ultra Fit drives. Ive seen transfer speeds 80Mbps. Use these as laptop external drives permanently connected they dont get caught on leads or damaged in transit. Great for securely transferring data from laptop to main PC. Sandisk ships these drives with drive encryption software keeps data secure if drive is stolen. For me, 64GB is the sweet spot for priceperformance, but would buy larger capacity if I could afford them.CONsSo small they are easy to misplace. Fortunately, they have a lanyard tie point. It would be a nice touch if Sandisk or even PCCG shipped a detachable lanyard with these drives.

No need to post data speed transfer rates the Ultra Fit delivers as promised. My first try was with my desktop equipped with SSD drives USB 3 I was more than pleased with the performance. Then tried my SSD equipped laptop no issue there. No lag in either machine recognizing connecting the drive. Job done. What I question is the minute size of the UltraFit. Depending on the form factor of the slot, there might not be enough surface left on the exterior to get a comfortable grip when retrieving it, especially for someone like myself with larger than average fumble fingers. And given its size, it begs to be tagged to a ring or keychain lest it gets lost or misplaced. Im all for miniaturization, but have to say Id prefer a few more mms for a contact patch. Actually, my favorite thumb drive nowadays is a reversible USB C that works with my phone. I imagine there are those that would prefer the tiny size in certain situations, Ive had 2 inch drives protruding from their ports on one occasion I knocked it out of my desktop with my knee, one other time the dog walking by the laptop knocked it sideways. I get the sales pitch size is great for tablets, laptops, etc. So, whatever works for you if you like compact, this is for you no complaints on performance.I noted passed on the Cloud Storage offer. Who isnt offering online storage nowadays Google Drives, One Drive, PC manufacturers etc. Do we really need another cloud service password to manage Life is too complicated already Once again, maybe itll cater to someones need out there just not mine.So should I check off recommended to a friend Well, yeah, it works great and has good value for the size if i think tiny is his schtick, sure, recommended. If hes fumble fingered like me, thats be a no

The SanDisk UltraFit flash drive is pretty much the smallest flash drive you can get. Its amazing that this little thing fits 128 GBs. Its black, says SanDisk and has a ring you can use to attach it to a keyring. The price is moderate for a 128 GB flash drive, but the more reasonable alternatives are usually larger and USB 2.0 or 3.0, not 3.1 like this one. Something to keep in mind, if youre looking for a faster experience. On my first day, I transferred a variety of files. One was a folder with 7.91 GBs containing 1580 files. It took 11 minutes to transfer from an SSD. I also transferred a 3.54 GB video file in 1 minute and 14 seconds from my Fusion Drive. The SanDisk UltraFit comes with a software called Flashback, and its designed to back up everything on the flash drive. Luckily, you get one year for free. After that, you pay 4.99 a year for 128 GBs. Before installing, I removed the 3.54 GB video file, leaving only the 7.91 GBs of content. It took about an hour and a half for it to back up. A small complaint here, is that it only tells you the percentage, not the time remaining, like Dropbox does. I like knowing how much time its going to take, even if its not completely accurate. I had to leave a few minutes after the backup was complete, so time was of the essence.Who is this flash drive for The biggest draw to this flash drive is its speed, portability and the ability to back up the whole drive at a reasonable price. That should sound advantageous to any student whos looking for a compact flash drive to save their documents on. It is not advertised as being waterproof, so I assume its not, but if you by any chance, lose the drive, you have a backup in the cloud, that you can access without the drive itself. That should be a comforting feeling to anyone.I highly recommend this flash drive. As a repeat SanDisk customer, I dont think youll be disappointed

The shape and size very tiny makes it awkward to fully insert in any USB slot, causing issues. I had to reformat twice for it to be detected by some PCs, so couldnt use it the day I needed to. Have yet to see if the reformatting has worked all PCs are modern items, some brand new. If it still plays up, its going back. It is very small, so if you think that will be an issue for you in handling it, you may want to consider somethign else. I have big hands, but managed ok. These nano drives are great for memory expansion with a small footprint. I have several of these for my chromebook and my sons chromeboxchromebook. When he goes mobile the drive comes out of the box and into the book. All of his digital media is there for him to stay entertained on flights, long drives, and anywhere else needed. I love to use these drives for saving mp3 for playback in my car on my 3545 minute commute to and from work. These drives are reliable, shockresistant, and dont heat up as much as previous models which could get hot to the touch. I purchased this USB drive to carry around with me in the work bag. I liked the physical size as well as the size of storage. I had a few issues with the drive heating up very quickly due to its small size. The small size doesnt allow it to dissipate heat vey easily so many types you reach for it and you might scold your fingertips. Other issue I had was the thin plastic cover that broke off after many uses. Would recommend getting a metal USB drive with a larger footprint to allow proper cooling.

This is an excellent flash drive with high speed USB 3.1 connectivity backward compatible to USB 2.0. This particular model is the 128GB Ultra Fit, which is a low profile flash drive that wont get in your way when plugged in to your computer. That low profile, however, also makes it easy to forget when youve got it plugged into someone elses computer. But if you do forget or lose it, the good news is that the device comes with a 1 year free subscription to SanDisks cloud backup called Flashback. You install the Flashback software on your Mac or Windows laptop, and the flash drive automatically backs up to the cloud. No credit card is required so the 1year free is nostringsattached. If you decide to keep the Flashback service, the annual subscription is extremely reasonable at 4.99 per year for the 128GB device. Other capacities have annual prices of 0.99 for 16GB, 1.99 32GB, 3.99 64GB, 9.99 256GB. Compared to typical cloud storage prices like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc these prices are a bargain.SanDisk also makes available two other apps RescuePRO Deluxe to recover deleted files, and SecureAccess to store encrypted and passwordprotected files on the flash drive. The high speed of USB 3.0 and 3.1 does make the flash drive run warm. Overall, though, the valueadd software plus the performance makes it a nobrainer if youre looking for a flash drive.

If you want to use this flash drive to quickly transfer large files such as movies, this is NOT the one for you Although I receive a respectable 80 mbs read speed, I get a paltry range of 15 50 mbs write speed. This is perfect for office documents, but terrible for media. For example, three movies took a total of 45 minutes to transfer no bueno. Also, this is a USB 3.1 Gen. 1 device, NOT a 3.1 Gen. 2. This means its an old USB 3.0 device with an updated naming convention. I will be returning this for a much quicker SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO USB 3.1 Flash Drive.

I purchased this mainly for its size inside and out. It really is tiny and only just protrudes out of the usb slot on my laptop. I bought it as a backup for all my files I keep on the laptop like music, photos and personal data. I chose this one because it is password protected and encrypted so I know if it is either lost or stolen, my data is secure. Ive heard of bitlocker that does the same on windows 10 but unfortunately not on my laptop as it is only windows 10 home and bitlocker does not exist on this version. Overall, I am delighted with this pen drive and especially the price I paid I know these things drop in price on a daily basis but if I have one complaint, it is simply that this flash drive cannot be used on the brand new chromebook I bought my wife. The way around this is to remove the password protect and encryption feature but then again, that defeats the purpose of my reason for purchasing it in the first place.

The drive is tiny, however, and can be very easy to misplace. I keep it in a small plastic bag at all times just so its easier to find. Overall a good, probably very good, value for the price. Like the compact design and its functions as well as Id expect for 3.0 USB. Been reliable so far. Better than several others that were larger seemed sturdier. Not a fan of the all plastic though. Hasnt been an issue in over 6 months of regular use, but Im waiting for the day the framing cracks, especially since you have to pinch it to remove due to its low profile when seated. They made basically same model Ultra Fit vs. Ultra that Id bough a year earlier that had some aluminum in case making it sturdier. At same price point and reliability, I much prefered that one. Hence why they probabaly had to discontinue so as to sell same thing, at same price, but made w cheaper plastic.Still a bargain for 128 GB though.

I use these items for video projects and photo slideshows in MacMinis, Roku Devices and Media Players. The small size of this usb 3.1 does not protrude from the above stated devices. I bought this to play music in my car, and wanted the small form factor so it would not be visible under the dash. Unfortunately, this USB 3.1 drive is substantially slower than my USB 3.0 drives, or even much older USB 2.0 drives. Writing my music library to the drive took about 2 hours. It is so slow, in fact, that my car cant read it quickly enough to recognize a USB is inserted. I have to wait about 30 seconds after start up, then manually select it, so it does not suit this purpose. By contrast, my USB 3.0 drives from Samsung or ADATA work perfectly and respond immediately. This was a relatively cheap drive. I would say you get what you pay for, but the performance is so poor this drive seems like a poor value at any price. If you need a small form factor but dont care at all about readwrite speeds, I guess this would be fine.

But I cannot believe how convenient it is.Yes, it is little and fits into the USB port and is practically unnoticeable. It never get in the way. Despite its diminutive size, it has a huge usable memory. It is large enough to store thousands of photos, music tracks, and movies with room to spare. What is best, however, is that it is a USB device. It is fantastic to be able to listen to my own music when I am bored with broadcast and satellite radio.

Neat Physically so small you hardly notice it. Ideal for music in my Volvo where a longer device would render its socket vunerable to damage. This use doesnt stretch the devices performance in any way but my general experience with SanDisk products is that they do what it says on the tin. It gets way too hot after only a couple minutes plugged into USB port. Scary hot. This item is fast. I moved several large files and there was about a 10 times increase in speed over the old 2.0 USBs. An example was a Thunderbird mail folder. This is typically a large file in the order of 8 GB and normally can take 2030 minutes to copy. This flash drive was done in about 3 minutes. I was very pleased with the small size which will fit easily in your pocket. Put it in a small baggy to protect it from dust and youre good to go.I noticed folks concerned about heat. I tried to move tons of data and it never got warm enough to concern me in the slightest. The front portion that is in the machine was warmer and depending on your computer this could get more or less warm. I used an Acer laptop with an SSD so the fan wasnt running much to provide inside the box cooling like it would with an HDD points are even without a cooling fan it was staying cool enough and it didnt trip the fan by adding extra heat. In any event this is good news since the tiny USB was not creating much heat that didnt get dissipated naturally.I also tried the new SanDisk cloud backup app for USB drives called Flashback, which comes free with this little flash drive. My flash drives can get lost sometimes and now I have the content saved. I really loved this app and will use it on all my PCs. It will automatically create cloud backup for any flash drives you plug in. Now without remembering to do it, you are backing up your USB flash drives to the cloud. It will assign a location for each flash drive and will also automagically divide the files based on type for example photos, Excel files, documents etc. Someone has come up with a great app here. Try it you will love it also. I do highly recommend this little but big at 128 GB wonder and also the free app.

No matter what you use a computer thumb drives are a necessity. The nice part about this one is that it has a large capacity but in a small footprint. That being said it can easily be left in the side of your laptop without worrying it is going to get broken off. It also has faster than normal readwrite speeds which allows it transfer files much faster. The included cloud software is a nice addition because anytime you put something onto the drive it will automatically back it up to the cloud as well. This make it so that you do not have to worry about all of your files going missing if you lose the drive or something happens to it. I believe that anyone who owns a laptop should have some kind of flash drive for storing data and data transfers.

I like the small Micro size of this USB memory. On the other hand, it is almost too small and easy to lose. My goal was to use it as a small size HIDEF music storage for a USB port of the audio receiver. Works fine with recent AVR models supporting USB 3 standard.

This lives in my laptop, which over the past year has been in use probably 1012 hours a day. My music collection lives on it, so its not just sitting there I havent tested the speed, because for my daily use it doesnt matter. What matters is that in almost a year Ive never had a performance issue its never felt hot, even under long continuous use. Its a bit pricy at retail, but definitely worth it if caught on sale

This is a great drive. Found a good deal and needed some more larger drives. This drive delivered on speed and I like the small profile. Great for spaces like in laptops, the car where having a long drive sticking out is a pain. Still going strong with lots of use.
