I bought this card to replace my other Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB cards that are 95Mbs. I have never lost data on these cards and have had them for about 3 years. The older cards freeze up the video for the first 5 seconds or so during playback but I do have audio only during this time. The new card 170Mbs does the same thing but only the first 37 seconds of frozen video but good audio. Maybe its me not sure. Im using latest version of Sony PlayMemories on a Dell Precision Tower 7910 dual Zeon processors and 64 GB Ram 1TB Samsung SSD. Data stream is 100mbs on 4K also 100mbs at 1080p 120 framess same problem.

This turned out to be a dud. I didnt use it for some time. My first mistake as I normally try things out quickly in case they need to be returned. I noticed write speed was very slow in my modest digital camera. Not so modest as a Sony RX10 M4 which normally writes almost instantaneously to another Sandisc with the same rating Tried taking a video which showed up the very slow write speed. Did some speed test with software suggested by Sandisc. This showed how horribly slow this card was and turned out not to be from Sandisc after contacting them. I can use possibly use this card in another device where write speeds are not so critical. Best avoided.

Im using it on my Canon 6D mkii, its fast and the pictures qualities are great The capacity of 256 gb is just excellent that I dont have to worry about running out of memory nor spare memory cards. The speed is great. I wanted the 512 gb one but the price of this 256gb one was more affordable at 69.99, and I am not disappointed

My only go to cards. They seem to always be on sale, so when the are, buy a few. As long as you are in the 24mp range these are great. If you do alot of 4k video or have 45mp or higher, look at the UHii cards. These were slow in my 61mp a7riv, but I knew that before I even attempted to use them. They were not designed or priced for that much data. I have some that are a few years old and have never giving me a problem even though the label starts to fade away from inserting and removing through the years.

Excellent inexpensive SD card option. We buy a lot of these for our video capture needs. They are fast enough for use in all of our cameras while keeping our costs low. While certainly slower than the v90 cards we own, at a quarter of the cost we are happy with the performance and reliability of these cards. Out of the 20 or so we own, we have only had one defective card and the defect was merely very slow write speed. We have never lost information using these cards.

    OldMacUser

These are the gold standard for SD cards. Most cameras dont absolutely require the speed, but some are able to do longer bursts and clear the buffer faster. May also speed up in camera image review. High speed is noticeable when uploading data to modern computers may cut upload times in half. Worth paying a little more for the Sandisk Pro name, performance and compatibility.

Ive used many brands for many of my portable electronic equipment to save music, pictures, high quality movies, for HDTV, still cameras, dashcam recorders, and most perform fine. Until you use Sandisk Extreme Pro microSDXC memory cards, i found them to be reliable, excellent readwrite performance depends on host as well. This 128GB is no exception. Ive purchased the 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, even up to 400GB. I know theres also a 512GB, for those who want maximum storage for high end smartphones, etc. I should also tell people, keep an eye out for fake SanDisk cards. The letters arent as crisp as you see on the image I provided, the speeds dont even go above 2530Mbps, thats a sure sign its not genuine. If you see 5075Mbps speeds on your smartphones, its totally normal. This is my own review and hope it helps those whos searching for a great memory card at a decent price for their gadget needs

Best Buy to the rescue, AGAINThe SanDisk Extreme Pro 512GB SDXC is a capacious, fast, and reliable removable storage device.PROS Good technology, delivered quickly, no shipping costs.CONS Slightly pricier that Amazon.BUT . . . . Amazon lost my delivery so, once again I turned to Best Buy.NOTE This is not the first time that Best Buy rescued me from a bad Amazon delivery.

Purchased this SD card recently for my DSLR. Needless to say, this is a great addition to my camera storage capacity to handle RAW images and 4K video. I was particular about Extreme Performance due to faster transfer rate needs given the size of these files being huge. Has been working extremely well and happy always with SanDisk.

  11. blank

    Medrod

I shoot with my DSLR in raw which produces large files that take more time than jpegs to save. The speed of the Extreme Pro shortens the wait time between shots which is really important when shooting in burst mode. If the camera is busy saving, its not prepared to take the next shot which means that you can miss out on actions if filming animals, sports, or anything with action. If speed is needed, this is a worthy chip.

Great value for a big capacity, speedy enough card for the average amateur photographer Amazing how just a few years ago, this card would have been several hundred dollars more at this size and speed, but Moores Law still holds true. You can get bigger and faster cards, but again, for the everyday amateur, this SanDisk is an unbeatable value

Ive been buying these micro SD cards since I began using Android devices way back on 2.2. I stopped at 64GB cards as they were mainly for video. Now I store hi res photos from my SLR on my phone I need more.Card class and speed has always been tricky to define due to advertising mainly read speeds, not write speeds. Class 10 means nothing more than it can sustain a 10mbs write speed, thats itThey have been getting better every few years and these A2 cards seem to be the best for speed v price. My last card had a write speed of 50mbs which I though was pretty good. This one blitzes it. I transferred 78GB of data to the card a mix of hi res SLR shots, full HD movies, music and pc programs, over 5000 files in 18 minutes, the card maintained over 80mbs for all but the last 4 minutes of the whole transfer. It averaged 72mbs in total.Ive used Sandisk cards for over 20 years, I have never lost a single file from one yet touch wood.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I bought this specifically for the faster transfer rates. Not so much for the camera side but rather for transferring the photos to the computer. I can tell you it works as expected. While I dont regularly fill these guys up, it was a bit annoying having to wait 15 minutes for all the files to copy over. Now wait times are regularly in the 3 to 4 minute range. On the camera side, I shoot a lot of video, and never notice any buffering issues.

Im a wedding photographer, and I took a bit of a chance and bought these 256GB cards over the 128GB SD cards. I normally prefer smaller multiple cards in case something happens, and I dont lose all of my files to a single card. But, Im using this card as a backup to my CFexpress cards. Read my review about the ProGrade 256GB CFe card. …Im so glad I have this card, and its rock solid stable. This card saved my hide when the CFe card failed in the first card slot.Fast transfer speeds from the card to the computer, and the write speed to the card doesnt create much of a bottle neck. After two weddings with this card, Ive only hit the buffer once with my Z6 II.I have a two of these cards, one in each Z6 II, and Im happy I dont ever have to think about switching out those two cards. Just insert, and forget them all wedding day.Definitely recommended.

I was reluctant on getting one due to people having issues with theirs being fake microSD cards frying the microSD readers on their Nintendo Switch systems, but I tested it on my computer first before the Switch systems and it works A okay. Even though it took like 5 days to redownload all my stuff on my Switch blame my slow internet for that, I still managed to get it all downloaded and working. Also, if you are looking to get one of these, its best you get them on sale, and its best that you check it to make sure it isnt a fake microSD card by looking at the label printed on the card, and testing it on the computer, or youre gonna regret putting it in your Switch console frying your SD slot in it.

I keep one of these in my notebook for daily incremental backups of my work. Because the slot permits it to fit flush with the notebook chassis, there is little danger of it being damaged or accidentally ejected. For me, the convenience of having it always onboard, and other ports always open for other purposes, is a boon, and theres no need to carry an external drive when Im out and about. In the past Ive used SanDisk Extreme 128GB SDXC cards for daily incremental backups in my notebooks and lower capacity SanDisk SDXC cards in my cameras and so far have never had a problem with a SanDisk SD card.

The SD card is nice. You should definitely get 128 or higher. The main reason Im giving it a five star review is the price from BH. I got this for my GoPro, and I have the subscription for GoPro. But even with the subscription, it was way cheaper from BH. Dont get me wrong, the GoPro subscription is AMAZING, but its not perfect.

I used this card to transfer files from my MacBook pro to this memory card. Initially, this one worked fine and extremely fast, but it became too slow after a couple of months. It takes a long time to view all the files and even longer transfers a small file. I wouldnt recommend this card.

I need a lot of capacity and was concerned this card couldnt handle 4K at full resolution of 400 Mg setting on my Fuji XT3. The price is so much lower than faster cards. It has worked great for extended video at 4K400mg. I have not tried a clip length longer than 30 min, but it functions fine without a hiccup at over 20 min of full 4K 400 Mg video.

I am a photographer who has been through many SanDisk memory cards, have never had a problem until now.I purchased this item right before a client event, and used this memory card to take 230 photos at the event. Upon loading them onto my computer after to edit and send their way, I had to insert and eject the card three times before the computer recognized it, only to have all photos fail to download. Then I tried to put it back into the camera, and received a message saying Cannot read memory card might be damaged. Again, this card is brand new. I tried the card on multiple computers, and tried other memory cards in my same computer and camera immediately following, and had no issues with the other cards.I am incredibly disappointed by the lack of quality of this item, as I purchased it in good faith and am now at a profit loss of not only the card itself, but the considerable income that was expected from the clients event.

Disclaimer I own the old 95MBs cards which have been discontinued. If SanDisk has continued to make these with the same external design which theres no reason they wouldnt then this review should apply to these also.I bought three of the extreme pros for corporate video work. Several weeks back, I noticed that one of them was missing. When I found it lying in the gravel driveway, half buried in the rocks, I was surprised. I was even more surprised to find that it STILL WORKED A little scratched on the outside, but it functions perfectly. More than a month outside in the elements including a lot of rain AND it was embedded in the ground because of the car running over it multiple times. I trust this card more than I trust my my own memory.

I have been using SanDisk cards for over 10 years. Recently moved to a newer camera and had to start using SD cards as oppose to CF cards. I was on a shoot the of course the SD card fails. The images were showing on my camera just fine, but when I went to upload the images I was getting error codes. 16 hours later I was able to recover 10 images of the over 900 images taken. Try explaining that to your client.

Purchased for use in a new GoPro Hero 9 that has capability of recording in 5K. I have used this card for a couple of scuba and snorkeling trips and it has plenty of room left after all I have recorded. 80 of my recordings have been in 2.7K but I have recorded some in 5K. I have also taken over 100 pictures that are stored along with the video and I have 50 space available on the card. At first I thought the card was not going to have enough gig space but it has worked great.

Just wanted to respond to the other reviewer about the speed of the card. The issue with Sandisk is that they update their product lines quite often, however the incremental updates are only minor. So last year Extreme might be rated at 160MB, and this year it might be only 170MB. Worse is when the current year mid range outperforms the bottom of last year top range.. lol..The stock levels vary so some stores might have older stock. There is NO real speed difference between the 2. 4k video needs 30MB and any PClaptop transfer interfaces will max out way before the theoretical 160170MB speed. You really need UHS2 interface on destination devices to benefit from more the 90MB On top Sandisk is not good at keeping the stats updated on AUS site eg Ultra is still showing as C10 rated vs the 2019 model that is U1 and A1 rated. Night and Day.

Straight onto JB Online, a quick click the super fast Scandisk Extreme Pro was at my country mailbox within 48 hours. The quality of videos recorded on the Extreme Pro disk is cinema quality and has no problems recording the 4K 60Fps that the drone shoots in

I recently ordered two of these cards for my Sony a7iii. Both of them werent recognized in the memory card slot 1. All my other SanDisk cards work flawlessly expect for these. Essentially, the cards dont read unless you swicth them into slot 2. Otherwise, they pop up with an error code, and are not registered by the camera. I tried formatting them both in camera and on my computer, but the format button on my a7iii is unhighlighted when the card is in. Swap out for a different card, and it becomes highlighted again. Seems like there is some type of malfunction that occured in this batch because ive never had anything like that happen before. Returned them today, and will probably give it another shot because the price and storageMBs range on these cards is par none.

I recently purchased a Mavic Air 2 and discovered I needed a Micro SDXC card. I had not bought a card like this in quite some time so I was unaware of the SD adapter that comes with this card. Its pretty terrific. I have a 3 in 1 adapter Ive had to use in the past, which works well but is yet another thing to throw into a bag and dig out when you want to access your footage. This fits in the case with my other SD cards and works as well as a regular card. I couldnt be happier with the product and the ease of use.

This is a very nice MicroSD for the money. It is fast and reliable too. Well made and no problems after 4 Months of use hope there will be no problems in future months and years. Since this is a SHXC it has nice decent enough space for saving and backing up any files from my device. This is worth every dollar and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good MicroSD for your devices.

This was the cheapest 256gb micro sd card I could find, and was concerned that it may be a cheap copy fake. But its not I use mine to record 4k cctv images and when I first installed the card and formatted it, my cctv base unit confirmed the amount of free space was as stated. It also came with an adapter, which is useful, not not needed for my purposes. Very pleased indeed. I should say that that sd card specification is also the quickest Ive encountered and ideal for 4k images.

I recently bought two of these cards to update my set. For the price these cards from San Disk are an unbeatable value. Although I rotate my cards frequently and keep them secure in my water proof Pelican case, I have yet to experience a malfunction or data loss with this brand. I have San Disk cards that are nearly ten years old that are still fictional to date. The write speeds are fantastic, even during burst shooting and video recording. I bought this card for use with my Canon 5D Mark 4. Inside the camera, it works great and is fast enough for the infamous 4K video data rate and file sizes of the 5Dmk4 over 30 minutes of it. The interesting part comes with I connect it with my computer. Nothing wants to open on the card, as though its completely empty or corrupted. It even shows a full 128gb of free space. I have the same exact experience with a 64gb model from the same product line that came bundled from BH with my camera. I purchased another copy of this same exact card at a local retailer and formatted it exactly the same way I used the others, but the locally bought card works flawlessly. It seems that the cards coming from BH have a different build than others that come from other retailers. Im not sure how this is possible, but its what my data and experience is showing. I have a late 2013 iMac, and I used both the built in reader and a USB card reader for all cards.

So I got 2, one for my phone. Galaxy s20 ultra to be specific, and it can definitely reach the advertised speeds. Decided to run a test on its speed, well.. it writes at around 50mbs and reads at around 90mbs.. not as advertised, obviously. They do look like what is pictured though, so I think its safe to say they are cheap fakes. Now to attempt the always fun process of trying to get my money back.

If you are serious about your work, do not skimp on memory. These cards are built for video.WIth a fast read and write speed they handle video even 4K pretty decently. This is my go to brand and is what I use on all my cameras. I use this with my Sony A9II and its very fast. However, not the fastest in the world. If you want immediate read and write I would suggest 300 MBs. The writing part is very fast but the reading it takes a minute. Still a great card though if your not wanting a quick review.

I was very impressed with recording speed of the Sandisk 32GB Extreme Pro. As I was shooting with the Canon 6D mkI and Canon 5DmkIV both using the highest RAW setting while shooting a wedding. Both cards buffers never stopped camera usage during the important moments of shooting. The kiss of course shot at the highest frame rate possible captured the moment perfectly. Now as to importing the images through Lightroom was of course where the difference was seen. The 6D images imported like a dream while the 5D images gave you a chance to catch up on email, grab a drink and some food. Mind you this card is at a great price point which should be taken in to consideration. So at this point I am more inclined to make a purchase of a faster card than speeds of 95me per second. As I have intention to also add video to my weddings I will need more to the likes of 128GB to 256GB with a faster rate which means time to save up that money. In conclusion great for small projects or events. I would buy again. Yet my next venture as far as weddings go will be higher capacity cards with faster speeds. My next purchase will be SanDisk 128GB Extreme Pro SDXC UHSI Card 170mb per second

i have been buying sandisk for years and they were the best fast, reliable and excellent value. i have purchases a few sandisk usb flash drives, usb c and usb 3 and they all had one thing in common highly unreliable and required regular full formatting after they for no reason stop copying and make windows crash. i thought i would give this sandisk product one final chance because its from their extreme range and i hadnt tried the sd cards so i thought benefit of the doubt. right from the packet, it made windows crash not sure why but after restarting, i put it in saying error and let windows repair it. started copying my music, it was lightning fast around the 6070 mbs mark and about 13 way through 0 wouldnt respond and crashed windows. so, same process… FULL format and it worked ok but i had moved it to USB 2.0 just to be sure i simply wanted to copy the files didnt really care about the speed.put simply, i think i am done with sandisk now i wont bother returning this now as i have my music on my phone and will leave it at that.but if you want a micro sd card for regular use or any thing memoryflash related i REALLY advise you NOT to buy sandisk products as they ALL i have had 4 sandisk flash based drives and they all exhibit the same behaviour.if you want very casual use and dont mind the occasional faffing around with formatting and stuff, then i suppose for the money they are OK.also i have attached the benchmark no 160mb ANYWHERE even on the sequential read which is the fastest so i would go so far to say its a lie same for the 90mb claim. stopped running the test after the sequential as it was known what was to follow with others.

With the disappearance of Verizon Wireless 3G network as of 123120, I had to discard my very reliable 2006 LG flip in favor of a much better flip, Kyoceras 4G DuraXV Extreme. Five stars for that decision, but this review is for the SanDisk 64GB microSDXC card I bought for auxiliary and removable memory. So far, so excellent. The shipping met expectations, and the packaging was secure but did not require a blow torch to open. The cheerful little card love the colors was simple to insert and format, and functioned perfectly from the first moment. I transferred a bunch of files directly from my iMac via the phones USB cable, and we were off and running.Over the decades, I have purchased an assortment of highend audiovideo products from BH loved them all and this microSD card was surely the least expensive of the lot. But as I get older, I realize how important it is to have reliable back up for my own memory no less so for my beloved and bulletproof flip.

Ive only had one card failand it was after years of hard use and I was still able to get my photos off of it. 256GB is more than I shoot in anything but all day events, and if your camera supports two cards you can use a second as a backup.

So when I grabbed a new to me camera, and this card was marked down, I had to grab it asap. 128 Gb is giving me more than enough storage in my Leica full frame camera, even shooting DNGJPG. Ive used SanDisk cards in the past so I trust the brand. I did some research when I bought my pocket 4k and found that this inexpensive SD card could be used to record BRAW 121 internally at up to 60fps in 4K DCI with no dropped frames. I bought a couple of these cards and Ive been using them happily. I dont think these are fast enough to handle the higher quality compression options that the BMPCC4K allows, but 121 is great for me Im a hobbyist and occasionally shoot for HD delivery for marketing use and I love not having to mount an SSD on the camera, to keep the rig low profile.

Technology has come a long way. I remember when this digital storage medium was only available in 256MB Today you as at Oct. 2019 you can get up to 1TB in this form factor. This Sandisk 400GB microSD card has cause me to retire my Patriot Magnum 2 256GB Flash Drive. The available space on it is actually 367GB however that is more than 133GB than my retired flash drive. Transfer speed is not bad as I have gotten up to 68MBs WRITE and over 95MBs READ over USB 3.0 Gen. 1. Whenever I test this card on a USB 3.1 Gen 2 computer, I will update my review. I plan on getting the 512GB and the 1TB versions of this card however I am waiting for the prices to come down… they are way too high at this point. Thanks to the great pricing offered by BH Photo, I was compelled to get this card. If you search around, you will not find any other vendor that can beat BH Photos prices Secondly, you get peace of mind buying from BH Photo because you never have to worry about getting a fake card. You ALWAYS get GENUINE cards from this dealer.

The indigenous birds of North America, specifically the Mourning Doves, were populating the North American Continent for about 325,000 years prior to the migration of all the indigenous human inhabitants. The average lifespan of the doves is 30 years barring any predation by animals or mankind. The species migrates from the southern U.S. forests northward to feed mainly on grasses and seed crops such as wheat. The finches, and the English Sparrow, this species was transplanted in the early 20th century to combat the Gypsy moth infestations that were decimating the northern forests, although they never actually became of any ecological value since they only feed on seeds and grasses as well. The value of these species is in their cross species immunity to the coronaviruses and all flesh eating bacteria. Birds by their nature are omnivorous creatures. These species of birds are social and cohabitate the same ecological niches

Plenty of storage for RAW JPG recording, it will save numerous continuous shots too fast to count, but it will slow after awhile. As long as it holds up, Im happy. Sandisk is pretty good with replacing defective products, and they do honor warranties, but hang onto your receipts. Not that this particular product has failed, but Ive returned other products from this manufacturer. Always received a replacement one time an upgrade, so they make good. This is not to say Sandisk is unreliable, as Ive had worse experiences with other manufacturers. They do make good on supporting their products. Just stay aware that memory cards need to be backed up regularly and they should not be used for longterm storage. Copy your prized photos as soon as possible so you have no loss.I can say, for the few weeks Ive owned this card, it has performed well. I am impressed with the write speed compared to the Ultra line from Sandisk and any other card manufacturer, for that matter.

Simply put, you can shoot on this thing all day. ALL. DAY. I am a part time wedding videographer, and I cannot tell you the stress of trying to find those perfect moments to switch memory cards, crossing your fingers that you cleared all of your cards the night before. These things have enough space to handle anything you can throw at it, and if youve got a camera with dual card slots, you literally eliminate the need to have a memory card case on site. It takes another piece of gear out of my bag, and eliminates on of the most stressful parts of the job. Worth every penny.

I have been having trouble with my GoPro Hero 4 Black. It stops recording and files need repairing, etc. Really annoying stuff. After some Googling, it turns out the 64GB Sandisk Ultra XC1 microSD card Id been using WAS THE PROBLEM. Not campatble. If only I had known about that before…Anyway, bought this 32Gb card, recommended for GoPro and other action cams, and everything works perfectly. Its saved my sanity and my video records. For absolutely critical applications, I rely on SanDisk Extreme Pro cards for all of my video recording. Whether I am putting these in my cameras, or recorders, I can know that I am using a reliable card. The few times I have had failuresand it is ultrarareit is usually due to equipment issues, or human error. I like the 170 MBs cards, versus the 300 MBs, simply because of the value. I dont feel the need to spend the extra money, and the 128GB capacity is more than enough. If you rely on SD cards for professional applications, then consider these

As I stated in my Kingston SD card review I buy a lot of SD cards. So many devices in my household. For tablets and phones I tend to use Kingston as they offer a little better value when on sale and I dont care about data loss as things sync with cloud. Also for situations where they will get lost etc. damned kidsFor anything that requires high capacity and storage speeds, Sandisk extreme is in my opinion the only real option.I always keep a few 64 and 128GB cards ready to go with my GoPros. These cards just work no matter what type of footage you are recording. I have never had one fail despite a few accidental washings with jeans.I also use these cards in my dash cams. Main reason is a dashcam in the window of a car can get hot and these seem to handle the heat better than some others. You can save money buy buying from other brands however after purchasing what must be over 50 cards over the years SanDisk Extreme are my only cards for 4k and 8k recording.

Price is relatively comparable no matter where you go for it mid60s. So, if you can buy it with Free Shipping and No Tax so much the better I bought two of these and they work great in both my Nikon D7100 and D5300. A good test of any cards capabilities is to setup the exposure mode in RAW 14 Bit plus JPEG and throw the camera in continuous shoot mode besides what the cameras buffer can handle, you should see what amount of time it takes to get the first six images on the card. That is also with the caveat that the camera has the same continuous frames per second rate. Or try it with another card in the same continuous mode on each camera. I think for the most part most people will buy this card for the larger HD video and still storage capable with these cards. For that this card can handle most of what you can throw at it for 95 of the uses you might have. High speed video or super high speed continuous exposures with a high frame per second rate can ultimately push any card to its limits. I definitely recommend staying with brand name memory card manufacturers. Too many problems with offbrands Transcend among the worst I have used. And as a final caveat, make sure your camera supports the use of the card before laying out your hard earned bucks. This is a Class 10 SDXC, V30 and 4K compatible card. This card is also one of the few recommended for the new Nikon D750. Feel fortunate you dont have to shell out the bucks for a Compact Flash version with the same specs. That would run hundreds of dollars.

I have owned several SD cards from SanDisk over the years. They are great quality and do a great job. Ive never had one fail. Until now. This card is less than a year old and I can no longer use it because the plastic pieces at the top have literally fallen off the card. My computer will no longer read the card, and there is nothing preventing the lock mechanism to slide up and down. Im so disappointed that I can no longer use this card, and had a huge risk of losing my photos as well. I hope this was just a fluke, because Ive had great luck with SanDisk in the past.

I bought this reader to replace my Transcend USB 3.0 reader. The Transcend was averaging 85 MBs. This Sandisk reader achieved the expected 160 MBs from a Sandisk Extreme MicroSD card. So, from a performance perspective, the reader is excellent. However, I found it almost impossible to remove the MicroSD card once inserted. I had wondered if it had an eject mechanism as in, press to eject but it doesnt. Seems odd that a company like Sandisk should make such a flawed design. Hopefully they will release an improved version, if they have not already done so.

I actually havent used this card yet, but I am planning on using it in a new Sony mp3 player that I purchased. I use a 256 bit rate and find that for my purposes that is the minimum rate that I will use. And by using that higher rate the payoff is far better sound quality. Having this card will enable me to load a lot of songs and thereby making the Sony a much better player for me. I believe that the Sony had a builtin 16 gig memory and this will greatly expand that. I have bought this SanDisk before and am still using the old one.

Well what can i say, other than SanDisk is always been my memory brand choice. I brought three of these. First one at the time costing alot more than they are now. Ive always worried about getting fake ones etc. However ran the basic tests and everything was great, 2 years later and still going strong. And im constantly removing and adding files, putting it into different phone or tablet. I usually buy a new one every 2 years when i get a new phone and put existing one in a storage case and use when ever. However this isnt really because im concerned but more about the price drops, example you can now buy a 200gb for the price of a 64gb nearly 23 years ago. So for me ive always gone for more space when i can, more bang for the buck. Anyways great micro SD card, and havent brought myself around to trying samsungs own because i have never had issues with SanDisk

I bought the memory card to extend my laptops storage without having to bother dismantling if. These micro cards are designed for digital devices, nevertheless I am satisfied and I can confirm they work well as a secondary or backup storage media. Read access is fast, far better than mechanical disks. Copying is slow, around 20mbits. The speed increases when writing directly to the SD, e.g. downloading from the internet. Pretty much the actual speed is limited by the controller and Operating System. I got the 256GB version, which for my pocket seems overpriced.

Test finished without errors. You can now delete the test files .h2w or verify them again. Writing speed 20.5 MBytes Reading speed 37.0 MBytes H2testw v1.4 The warning is because Ive saved few files before the test and didnt delete them. The slow reading speed is because of my card reader it simply cant do it faster no matter what card I use.

Read write speeds are great, Im using this card as an internalexternal SSD for my laptop with an SD card slot. I can play games like Dark Souls and Halo online with no trouble. So I started by doing a check to make sure it was a 128GB card and not a smaller one mislabelled. I simply copied a 126GB file to it and compared the hash of that with the original, using HashCalc. This passed just fine, but I was disappointed that the write speed, for sequential writes to a brandnew card, was only 27MBs using the supplied microSDtoSD converter. This seemed odd, so I deleted the supplied partition which didnt use quite all of the card, made a new one in the Windows10 Disk Manager and formatted it as exFAT, which gave me a teeny bit more space. After this I got 80MBs writes. So, the card seems okay, the format as supplied not so much. But maybe something odd was going on Id say test yours and if its slow kill the partition, make a new simple one and format it as exFAT then see how it goes.Oh and the packaging is, as ever for microSD cards, a right pain to get into…

A portion of this bad review is due to user error, but based on the lack of clarity and what Best Buy advertised on a speed rating poster in the camera department.Ive shot on cinema cameras using SSDs, so I wasnt too sure on SD card speeds for video. I shoot on a Fujifilm XT4 in 4K 60p 10bit 400mbps. I looked at the 170 MBs and thought that was plenty due to 400mbps 50 MBs. The poster in Best Buy recommended this card for 4K 60p video, but Im guessing that they meant for something like a GoPro, not All Intra 10bit video.Turns out theres a little rating that says V30 in the top right corner of the cards, which I only noticed after looking into SD speed rating stardards. The V30 stands for Video 30 MBs.Due to this lack of labeling, I had 2 test shoots half corrupted with strange video artifacts littering the video clips. Luckily they werent for anything important.I know this is partly my fault for not knowing what all the different rating symbols meant, but this was the fastest card offered in store.Reviewing this from a video perspective, I dont recommend it. Go with an SD card from Sony that has a V90 rating. It may save you some lost footage.

Buying memory cards online can be a real minefield not all are as advertised just read the reviews on some sites. So it was only after a great deal of sifting and searching and checking selling history etc. that I finally decided to chuckmebuck in the direction of this particular seller. Have to say that Im really pleased I did. Sure, there were some available elsewhere at a slightly lower price, but that is small consolation if they prove not to be the real thing and you end up losing your treasured memories. Besides which, I needed the card in a hurry for a trip I had coming up the following week so buying from a local seller seemed the sensible choice. Being Mr. Skeptical, the first thing I did on receiving the item 2 days after placing the order was to check the manufacturers product packaging all seemed correct. Next, and more objectively, I checked the readwrite and formatting stats using the freely available h2testw1.4 app just use your favourite search engine to locate a bonafide copy, remembering always that other products are available…. Again, all good Bear in mind though that when formatted, no memory card will display the full available manufacturer stated capacity. So, for a nominal 32Gb card, dont be surprised to see somethinglike 29.7Gb available capacity once formatted. This is normal and does not necessarily indicate a faulty card. So, for my card it all checked out as the genuine article and has been happiliy capturing my adventures on my action camera which I rigged up as a dashcam managing to completely fill the card over the course of a couple of days. All of my journeys were then replayed and relived on my laptop sad I know without a hitch or glitch. In summary, yes, Im very pleased with the card and would recommend it and the seller without hesitation. Purchased from Picstop Jul 2018

I upgraded my SanDisk Extreme to this Extreme Pro card when it went on sale. I use this in a Nikon D800 camera. To my disappointment, i cannot use this card, as all the RAW images i take with my Nikon cannot be imported into Lightroom, as the images appear to LR to be corrupted. Luckily I found this issue before i spend multiple photo shoots gathering important images that would later be useless. Ive tried and tested and reformatted, all to no avail, the card is just bad. It appears something changed in the second half of 2018, presumably on the SanDisk end, and now many SanDisk Extreme Pro SD cards, including this one, are no longer recognized by Blackmagic Designs original Pocket Cinema Camera.I just confirmed this personally. The card is inserted and the BMPCC only shows No Card. There are reports of the same error on the BMD Video Assist. This development is especially disappointing in that earlier SanDisk Extreme Pro cards worked very well including the four 64GB cards I own and there are few other alternatives for BMPCC and Video Assist owners.I have read reports of some Sony users also having issues with some newer SanDisk Extreme Pro cards but have not read anything about this particular model yet.

It did everything I needed, it was fast and interfaced easily with both the camera and my PC, with a lightningfast data transfer for the large 4K videos Id recorded. So far its living up to the SanDisk name, no files have gotten corrupted and the transfer speed is definitely a big plus. I needed this memory card for my Sony A6100. I wasnt sure if 128 GB was enough but after making a couple of videos recently, I think two to three 128 GB memory card would be ideal. As far as I can remember using SanDisk, I never had an issue and so its my favorite brand. Ive tried other memory card brands before and regretted it because later on the card would eventually becomes defective therefore useless.Initially, I wasnt sure if I should get the 64 GB or 128 GB but Im glad I got the 128 GB because 64 GB was definitely not enough for my 4K recordings. When I recorded a few timelapses, the 128 GB filled up quickly during midday so I wish I bought two. I was browsing online on the Amazon site and saw some prices that were much cheaper, but I decided to play it safe. I did my due diligence and found that the cheaper prices were for substandard knockoffs that were on the international markets. They had a propensity to split and sometimes tear up your camera. Another amazing item from Sandisk.Ive had my eye on this for months and months to replace the 200GB Sandisk micro SD card Ive had in my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for the last 2 years. As soon as it dropped to less than 90 I had to buy it.Transfer of data was done quickly and the card was seen with no problem by my phone. The size is 400GB but dont expect to get that as useable storage.Formed in Exfat I have 366.8GB.This is not a frault card its due to the way the space is allocated accross sectors and clusters on the device. An explanation is way beyond this review but believe me when I say its fine.Depending on the use such as using it on a linux system or if you know you wont have single files bigger than 4GB etc, you could increase the useable capacity slightly. If youre not sure then just leave it how it is.

Have been using SanDisk SD cards in my cameras since going digital several years ago. I now use this memory card in my Nikon D750 and have had no problems with it keeping up with the cameras burst rate even when shooting RAW files. I have had no formatting problems, just pop them in the camera and Im ready to shoot. Unlike most, I dont erase the cards and reuse. I keep the photos on the cards as an additional backup since the cost per photo ratio is so low especially compared to what I was paying for slide film and development. As long as these memory cards keep giving me the same level of performance I will keep using the SanDisk cards.

I use them in a C200 shooting 4k60 without issue as the V30 rating is perfect for the roughly 20MBs that the 8bit MP4 or XFAVC records in 150Mbps160Mbps respectively.Ive even had luck recording on my Fuji XT3 recording in H.265 4k23.98 allI frame 420 10bit at 400Mbps. It rolls right through the 30min clip record limit without issues. It just generates a little heat on the camera obviously with those long records. Technically the V30 rating means that that Sandisk cant guarantee that the card can do this, but 400Mbps is roughly 50MBs, so you should need a V60, but again, these do work. Worst case, you can just knock the XT3 down to 200Mbps and never have any issues.

I carefully checked reviews and storage specifications in the Canon M50 Mk ii manual. This model matches or exceeds the requirements for my camera. The 128GB also sits at a very good price bar minute of shooting. I have been using SanDisk SD cards for years, and they are very reliable.

I bought this SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SD card drive for FLAC music file structure drive for a cars storage drive. I tried xFAT and NTSF format and the copy speed remained at 20 MBs with either. I also set the W10 drive into high performance mode from the device manager and the write speed stayed at 20 MBsec sustained.Im not sure were the 170MBs speed comes from but I didnt see that on a USB 3.0 MSI X570 ACE motherboard. There are 8 bits in a byte and 20MB8 bits per 1Mbyte 160 mbps but the drive is clearly labeled 170 MBs big M. I didnt try PEAK write speed as I copied the entire file at once 105 GB of FLAC files. No matter, I copied once and hope the drive does well for reads in a relatively harsh car dash over the years The price is OK at 30.00 or so and Ive never had a problem with SanDisc SD products. I dont use large file copies often so the speed isnt really the topic but the durability is. Ill see about that but the same SD card in a car I have owned the last three years is doing fine so, I bought another oneAs far as quality and ease of use, there isnt much to say about a plastic case and the HW hidden inside. It will format came with xFAT for PCMAC compatibility out of the box any way you want. There is a small amount of reserved file space so dont expect all 128 GB to be available. Mine showed 118GB of free space after a NTSF format.

Sometimes performance and price are not proportional when it comes to selecting a SD cards, and believe me, Ive purchased my share of SD cards. With that said, Ive been very happy with the Sandisk Extreme Pro series. I decided to go for Extreme PRO as it is higher class for all of my photography needs never had any problem with loosing picture while shooting in sport mode or losing any frame when recording a movie. Some things that convinced me to buy the Extreme PRO versions is that there built to withstand weather, water, shocks and other lessthanideal conditions so you can rest assured that its good to go wherever the world takes you.For me, they may cost a little more than the others, but they simply perform better than the rest that Ive had.

One week after purchase I used this Sandisk product in my Canon EOS 90D to photograph the SpaceX Crew Dragon from Cape Canaveral. Took approximately 400 photos of launch and various sites in the area. While reviewing the photos on my camera at dinner after the launch, the card suddenly stopped working. The camera instructed me to reinsert or format. Reinsert was attempted several times to no avail. Also attempted on my sons Canon EOS M6 to no avail. Later tried on home desktop with card reader to no avail. No device recognizes the presence of the card. This is exasperating. I have subsequently sent the card to a data recovery company in Wisconsin which has had success reactivating cards with broken controllers. Hopefully this will be the case for me. Obviously these are special photos. Hopefully anyone using this card for photos of any value will be wary of their build quality.

Definitely worth it if youre looking for speed I would recommend to go with the highest at 300 MB card unfortunately I didnt know until after I purchased this in store. Now knowing from first hand experience I am satisfied with the speed in comparison to my old card. Im going to go ahead and purchase the 300 MB card option by SanDisk and put this card as a back up in my carry round bag. If your using a lot of processing tools, this has significantly shown me a big difference in transfer speeds and then to instantly viewing my files. Im looking forward to the even faster card when Im purchasing my next card but 300mbs this time. Worth getting if your transfers are a little slow.

The 170 mbs write speed on this SD card is perfect. I find the 64gb to be a great size amount for photos I want to capture in a typical outing and the write speed makes for little lag time between shots. I have trusted SanDisk cards for years now and this one is my new goto SD card. I am currently upgrading my collection to using this one.

I have a Nikon D 810 and it is a 36 megapixel camera and Ive found a high capacity memory card or two is perfect for me. Ive bought these cards before and they are everything they are advertised to be. I bought 2 of these cards this time. I use this card for video shoots on the Sony 7R iii and it seems to keep up, even though its not the fastest writing card on the market. For the price its costeffective to keep in my bag and have had no issue with it. When traveling its helpful to have a card I can depend on with max storage space. When these are on sale at BH its a great perGB price. Im very happy with this card.

In theory, every device that supports a card with over 32GB is supposed to be able to run cards up to 2TB which dont yet exist, but in reality, my impression is many Android devices cannot handle the card capacity easily. Google Music failed to detect all the music albums on the cards, and especially whenever there were several albums starting with the same characters such as Album Name Disc 1, Album Name Disc 2, it only showed and was able to play the first album in the set. The VLC Media Player app had very hard time scanning the card and creating a library of the videos. The process took over an hour and easily broke whenever I switched to another app or when the phone switched to standby. I seems like the Android device industry is not ready for such a large memory card I tried it on two generally excellent devices Samsungs Note 9 and Huaweis MediaPad M5. Also new photos are not easily detected in the Gallery App or Google Photos app. So be aware that only Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is claimed by Samsung to support a 1TB card. The only type of devices where the card worked perfectly and seamlessly was Windows PCs. I tried it on the Surface 3 and Surface Pro 2017. These are not even the latest versions, but the devices worked perfectly just as if it was a 128GB or 256GB card. This enables you to use the card as additional storage space without any problem.

Bought for my new drone, I went for this one for immediate delivery via Prime and because it had an appropriate speed rating. Realistically U3 is required for high speed video, and 64Gb is perfectly suited to 30 minutes of flying time in higher resolution. I have found the footage a bit jerky, but to be fair that is probably down to the performance of the drone camera rather than this card. The price was OK, not the cheapest by any means, but next day delivery made it a good option. The fact if comes with an adaptor is a nice bonus, meaning I can upload footage to my laptop easily after filming.A decent memory card, Ill probably test it in my GoPro to compare the footage.

I purchased a card on Ebay that looked exactly like this one, but there was no product code on the card and when it died after a month, applied to SanDisk for the warranty and found that the card was not a genuine SanDisk.Having said that, be sure to purchase from a reputable source. I bought this because I wanted to be able to shoot in 4k on my Samsung S9 so needed a quick card with plenty of storage space. It was supposed to replace a slower Sandisk Ultra. I dont expect to achieve the readwrite speeds advertised as these were done in lab conditions. However the card was much slower than my Sandisk Ultra. I am getting maximum write speeds of 6.91MBs. I am aware the storage capacity is always less than that advertised but this card had less than 200GB. Maybe I was unlucky but my next mobile will simply have a much larger internal memory rather than messing around with dodgy microsd cards. If I cant even buy a reliable MicroSD card from Amazon as a seller themselves the time has come to move on.

Overall good cards. Only had one fail in the past 6 years out of maybe two dozen cards, which for me, is really good . Sandisk is my number one SD card brand for my cameras. And that one card that failed, yeah it went through the washing machine so that may have been my fault, and not Sandisks. So really no issues in terms of quality on Sandisks part.Buy these and stay away from the noname branded cards. Its not worth it to save a few bucks. Plus these are constantly on sale making them great value for a quality branded card.Plus I feel that Sandisk is accurate in their speed ratings, almost to within 12 MBs. Just keep in mind the speed shown on the packaging for all SD cards not just Sandisk is more marketing and is usually only the read speed, which is always faster than the writing speed.

The main negative point, is that the Card is seen as a Readonly device in Windows. Why did they make a SD Card as read only Does not make any sense as people but it to store data. That means that, if you plug it in directly in the laptop with the adapter, you are not able to write any data or to format it. I also tried with partdisk or other DOS commands but I did not manage it.The only solution is to insert in in your phoneI have a Samsung S9 and then connect the S9 to the PC via USB. Then Android will allow to write on it.Can be frustrating at the beginning.

The SanDisk Extreme Pro SD Card works great with all of the recent cameras that I own or have had the privilege of using in my few weeks of owning it. With the U3 and V30 ratings that this card is advertised to have, I had no trouble recording smooth 4K 30fps video and also had improved responsiveness incamera with regards to photos being saved to the card quickly and error free. The icing on the cake is the very fast transfer speeds to a computer or phone using a SD card reader which is great for vacation photos as well as just general workflow. All in all, this SD card comes highly recommended

I have tested the speed of two of these cards. I bought one, thinking that it was going to be a fast card, as the specs are pretty amazing at Up to 160 MBs. The 64 GB card that was sent to me was slower than the other ones that I had purchased at the same time that I purchased this one, and this one was slower than every other card, all SanDisk branded cards BTW, with lower rated specs.I commend BH for their outstanding support in this matter, as they sent me a replacement card out Post haste to see if the first one was faulty. Kudos to BH and their outstanding support of their products through customer service. The second card was no different than the first one, if that is any help. It was about half of the advertised rated speed.I called BH to ask if there was a reported issue with these cards, and they said that it wasnt apparent that there were any complaintsabout these particular cards. This variation of a micro SD card is not really worth buying in my view. The cards allow me to shoot 4K video with no interruptions up to the cameras actual time limit in any video format, which is 29min and 59sec.In previous experiences with slower cards the camera buffer would fill up quickly when shooting 4K, and the recording would stop, but not with this cards.I bought them because I had already a similar card, but with 64GB capacity and needed more shooting timestorage when producing videos.I recommend it

REALLY GOOD ADVICEIve used SanDisk some of the same cards for around 20 years and have never had any problems. I consider them top of the line memory cards.Recently purchased a whole bunch of CF and SD cards. Threw them in the camera and photographed multiple jobs with them. So, one of them with about 400 images was unreadable. I sent the card to be restored at the cost of around 350 and have not heard back yet. 350 is a drop in the bucket for what it will cost if they are not recoverable.ADVICE format and test all of your cards before using them on the job.

I have seen other reviews on here complaining about the transfer rates on this memory stick. I have purchased for about 6 a USB3 car reader from Anker and this is giving me the speeds shown, its about 80Bs write and about 90 read, so not as fast on read as what is suggested, but that is still very acceptable. Please note that a number of factors come into play when using storage like this. The CPU will do a lot of the work, so will need a good CPU to see full speeds, also the drive being transferred from or to needs to support the speeds you want to see. In my case, I am seeing these speeds from both mechanical drives and NVMe drive in my PC.With regards to space, please understand what a GB is, its 1000,000,000 bytes, where as a GiB is 1,073,741,824 bytes, so, for example, to work out the space you are buying, if you buy 128GB, or 128,000,000,000 bytes it states this on the packaging too, you divide that number by 1024 3 times and it will show you how many GiB you end up with. I get 119GiB which 128GB. 238GiB256GB and 372GiB400GB. Please ensure you understand space calculations before you complain that what you purchased does not match up to what is shown in Windows. The space shown on the packaging is actually correct giga billion, gibi is based on the 1024 calculation of space used by computers and this is acutally what windows shows.I will look at getting more of these as required in the future, using this one in my drone for 4K video recording

Im not a spray and pray type of photographer, but there are certain times where shot burst come in handy such as the bride throwing her bouquet over her head needs multiple frames in quick succession. Im not sure why one would need a card with a 300 MBsec capability unless you just hold the shutter button down for a very long time. 4k video is another story, but for stills only, this card is really overkill. Its a value for your dollar.

To me thats a sign of good engineering. The price is right so I will buy a few more. My endorsement for this brand comes from the fact that I still own all the cards that I bought through the years, many of them went through the washer and dryer and Im still using them. I have been using Sandisk cards for over 20 years. They are well renowned for their reliability, high performance and endurance. I never experience any failure. Prices are always competitive. Although my camera supports UHSII, but I think card is a better choice for me. UHSII is not required for 4K video recording or normal still shooting. High speed cards is necessary, only for shooting in the burst mode and filling the camera buffer. In this case a faster card can help the camera to get ready for the next burst quickly. Otherwise it will be a waste of money.

I love these micro SD cards and have purchased at least 20 of them over the last several years. I only use them for my cameras. When full I keep them as back ups of the photos Ive taken. Until now Ive never had an issue with them, however on returning from a month long Camps International adventure my daughter asked me to download the images from her water camera. Shed been swimming with dolphins and done other underwater activities, which shed videoed using the water camera.Weve had 2 water cameras now and both have had a problem with respect to removing micro SD cards from the slot they usually reside in. It turned out that removing the card from the camera left the micro SD card a 32 GB one cracked. As it is a monolithic storage device, the data within the device has been lost forever. We took it to a reputable recovery service, who checked it over and announced that it was beyond recovery. If we had been able to recover it, it would have cost around 500. Large cards would cost significantly more.Im happy with my cards, but never realised how fragile they were, which is why ive posted this here as a warning to anyone who uses micro SD cards. Keep them in proper storage cases and when removing them from your camera, be very careful.

I will likely increase the MPsecond on my next purchase just to make the camera even faster. I think that is worth the extra money. One tip that I learned is not to make your SD cards too big. If you have all your pictures on one SD card, you might lose that SD card and all of your images unless you have your images spread out into smaller cards. I would recommend a card with higher megabytes per second. Instead, put your pictures on multiples, smaller SD cards so if you lose one youre not SOL.

I use these in the 2nd slot of my two Olympus OMD EM1 Mark III. They are used for duplicate RAW file storage. I havent tested the speed and whether the UHS1 hinders the performance of the camera since slot 1 uses UHS2 but I am very satisfied with these cards performance. And they cost 14 of what the UHS2 costs.

I have always used Sandisk memory cards. I professionally photograph weddings and portraits. I bought 2 of them the 64GB Extreme micro SDXC for my Mavic 2 Pro drone. The 1st micro card performed flawlessly. The 2nd card worked for one shoot. Then I used it again and I got the card is not recognized by this device. cancel. initialize. eject on my iMac desktop. UGGH. I then tried using an external card reader. I received the same message. I then fired up my MacBook Pro laptop and tried using 2 different card readers. Same result. The card was not recognized. Sooooooo… one last chance. I put the Sandisk micro card into my Mavic 2 Pro drone and plugged the drone directly into my usb port on my iMac desktop. and i was able to retrieve the files After copying the files to my hard drive I threw the card away. I am fortunate to have been able to retrieve the files on the 5th attempt.

Needed cards for redundancy for data overflow in my Canon R6. Although theses cards dont match the capability of my camera for high speed data transfer, I have not yet noticed any delays in actual use note I do not routinely shoot UHD video at high framerates. I believe they are a good choice for the needs of most photographers in most situations today especially as a backupalternate card.

This card did not hiccup at all during 2.5 hours of rehearsal and recording of The Seven Last Words Jesus Spoke featuring professional musicians from the SpokaneCoeur dAlene area during March 2021. The production has been airing on the First Presbyterian Church Coeur dAlene channel on YouTube since Good Friday 2021. The Panasonic Leica lens system 4K UHD camera provided the fullwidth view of the stage with some digital zooming during postproduction. Impressive performance from this card 81 GB recorded straight through nearly the entire 2.5 hour rehearsal and every take. There may be a blooper reel for a later staff and volunteer party… Thanks, BH

Not much to say about a memory card unless it has problems. This is like every other SanDisk product Ive purchased. Works approximately as specd I really didnt do a speed test. Using it in a dual camera dash cam which means huge file writes in real time 160 MBmin About 3.2 Gig for a 20 minute drive. Hasnt skipped a beat, hasnt failed to write cleanly. Just what Id expect from SanDisk.

Would definitely recommend to anyone using the Sony Alpha A7R III was using an old SD Card on my Sony camera and when taking multiple shots 5 shots sec, it would take a while to load the photos for viewing purposes. So I did research on what types of SD cards the Sony Alpha A7R II supports and it turns out this SSD card is one of best ones.It also supports readwrite speeds for 4K recording. I also got it on a sale price, so would definitely recommend for camera use. If you have a newer Sony Model, you may be able to support better SD cards, but I can vouch that this card already does an amazing job

I have always liked and trusted the SanDisk brand, but in this case I purchased it for my BMPCC I have the original model. SanDisk is the brand that Black Magic recommends for this camera and I have old SD cards that have performed very well. However, the newer cards at least this one is no longer compatible. I tried to format the card both in camera and by using the disk utility on my computer. I didnt realize this issue until after I had opened the package, and SD cards are not eligible for returns, which was a little disappointing. But, I will find another use for it. I have been very happy with the purchasing experience at Adorama, but should note the I did receive a customer service response to an inquiry about compatibility that recommended this very card. FYI for other BMPCC owners dealing with this issueI have found that Angelbird SDs work. For the rest of you, I am sure you will find SanDisk to be an excellent product.

This is a 1 GB card, that I am using mainly for photographic storage, so that ai dont litter up my C drive on my laptop. It is a surprisingly acceptable solution to my space needs. Access times have historically been the most annoying thing for me when it comes to external HDs. This is much better. I find readwrite times, for my application, to be quite acceptable. For folks who are using this card for any sort of heavy duty video or photographic work, in camera, you may want to check out other reviews. SanDisk are extremely fast exceptional quality Micro SD cards. The 32GB Extreme MicroSD card I bough works beautifully to supplement the internal memory of one of my Android tablets. Also on a side note I bought for my Android phone what I thought was a 128GB version of the SanDisk Extreme Micro SD card on NewEgg and when I got the card it became obvious to me from the counterfeit packaging and the cards actual performance that it was not a real SanDisk Memory card. This may sound hyperbolic or unbelievable, but it is 100 true… the majority of the SanDisk memory cards that are sold by third party sellers on sites like NewEgg, Ebay, Amazon and numerous other sites are fake cards… they are countefeit. They may have what appear to be legitimate packaging, the card may look identical to an authentic SanDisk card and they may have serial numbers, made in and a CE marking on the card, but when you actually check the serial numbers with SanDiskWesterDigital tech support or test the memory cards performance you will find that they are likely inferior counterfeit memory cards from China. Only buy your Sandisk memory cards from Western Digital or one of their approved dealers listed on their website. Dont be fooled or tempted by anyone offering SanDisk Memory cards or other products at prices lower than what they are selling for on the Western Digital website or by one of their authorized dealers… virtually any SanDisk Memory card or product that is priced lower than the Wester Digital or one of their authorized dealers will be an vastly inferior counterfeit card without the speed or memory of an authentic SanDisk card.

I purchased the SanDisk Extreme Pro for the Olympus D E M1 Mark II camera for photos primarily and video secondary. The Extreme Pro allows me to capture at least 10 to 11 images per second in raw mode. I do not believe the rating at 170 MBS transfer rate unless you are using the Sandisk USB 3.0 SD Card adapter. The adapter should allow you to transfer video from the SD card to a USB 3.0 based computer of at least 100 MBs. There are videos on Youtube that test the claims of SD card manufactures.

I am showing two readwrite testing results here, but beware that they came from the same micro sd card. FYI Im testing my micro sd card on a UGreen usb 3.0 card reader. My initial test only gave me a readwrite speed of around 40 MBs like many others had here, which is way below my expectation. However, when I switched to the usb 3.0 port at the back of my desktop, the readwrite speed significantly improved and met the SanDisks claim of up to 90 MBs. This makes me wonder whether everyone who thought he got the counterfeit was using the right port for testing, as many laptops have builtin card readers but not necessarily having the transfer capacity equivalent to usb 3.0 port could be usb 2.0, which is around 40 MBs.

The 128 GB capacity of this card allows me to keep multiple projects on the card until image files have been transferred off and uploaded to our library and backup systems, which could take several days or more when our schedule gets heavy, even when shooting with 50 Mpx camera bodies. Firstly, once you put in the micro sd card, its incredible difficult to pull out without having longer nails. I had to use a pair of tweezers to pull out the card every time. Secondly, it worked the first time I used it, but its been faulty ever since. While transfering itll cut out. Sometimes my 2 computers dont recognise the usb drive. Its just terrible. I semithought it may be my micro sd cards getting damaged from insertion and pulling it out, but i bought a different usb microsd reader by Vanja and both my microsd cards have worked perfectly granted ive only used the different usb reader a few times.

I rated this as 4 stars because I have yet to use it more extensively to give a more informed review.I have progressed from 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB when I started to shoot in RAW mode. I have 3 128GB SanDisk cards and I expect this one to be even better because it has twice the capacity and twice the transfer speed. Then I would need to just have one this card loaded into my main camera and that would be good for a 2 or even 3 week trip without the need to change memory cards. I just wished my camera batteries would also last that long…

Loving this tiny little USB 3 SanDisk Micro SD card reader.Built well amp seems as tough as can be expected while remaining so small.I have no clue regards a good few negative reviews that have been left for this item… Im thinking that the negative reviews users should have bought a far bigger Reader as moaning about its size as a bad point defeats the purpose of the item as its obviously supposed to be small which surprise surprise it is.Other negative feedback comments claimed cards were hard to get back out once inserted amp again its size related as in of course its going to be figity amp a little effort is required to get a tiny micro sd back out once inserted into this tiny low profile reader. The thing does exactly what its designed to do amp thats read write to Micro SD cards at full USB 3 speeds. Its exactly what I wanted as I am using it in my Cars USB HiF input loaded up with Flac files amp needed something very small amp low profile that I could plug in, use amp basically forget about it knowing it wont get in the way by being big amp sticking out etc…It reads amp writes as quickly as full sized SD card USB 3 readers do but since it is so small if youre needing a reader for heavy use then I suggest you buy a larger sized 1.Summing up Great Little USB 3 Micro SD Card reader amp Ideal for users requiring something with a Low profile or amp require it for a tight space Highly Recommended

30,000 exposures on this and similar SanDisk cards over the last five years, never a problem. This one and a 128 gb version of it now reside in a Sony A7R IV. The write speed for 120 mb RAW images is good but not great. Bought this card for a newly purchased Gopro5 from the StationeryPacks refurbrenew program. When inserted into the Gopro it showed a card error. I tried to format from the camera still a card error. I then placed the card into the SD card holder also supplied to try a format through my PC and the card wouldnt come back out again. Has now been returned for a refund, and the replacement card ordered another brand from a non StationeryPacks source works perfectly, so I can say without any doubt this card was at fault. I do format and empty them periodically and make sure to eject them or turn off my camera body when removing them just as I would with any other card, but theyve always worked well for me regardless of what Ive done with them. Ive never had an issue like this until I purchased three of these cards I have about 30 memory cards, both CF and SD of all different sizes and write speeds. After I shot a with all three of these cards, I stuck them in my iMac SD reader and when I try to view the files, I either get a Mac cannot read this type of file notice, the loading symbol just shows up permanently and then I have to force eject the card, or no images show up at all.On my Macbook Pro, they work fine. A little slower to load than expected, but still transferred the images. I thought it was the SD reader on the iMac, but I tested my other Sandisk SD cards and they work fine. Also reinstalled MacOS and the issue persists.I contacted Sandisk and they said I need to format the card on my iMac. Just put it in, no formatting. As the Htc 10 is great for music even 24 bit music and films it was a strong temptation. I also got the 128 gb extreme a2 which I had no problems with. Though the Htc 10 reads the card storage a little higher it is not a problem. A2 is a new technology made by sandisk and western digital. You can buy cheaper but you get limited use and eventually the card loses the ability to write onto or be formatted, though leaving it as unencrpted on the Htc 10.Though many people use online music but off line music, films and books is nice to have. Glad to say its a legit card and even outperformed its guaranteed rating when benchmarked working well for filming and on my phone. Storage space is as claimed. As I appreciate this may be doubledutch to some Ill explain the claims on the card a little and attach the benchmarks I ran to check the card was genuine go the review which will hopefully mean more if you understand what youre seeing. It does sometimes feel like all these standards just exist to confuse. Half the problem is overlapping claims. The card carries the following performance guaranteesC10 write speed at least 10mbs almost all cards will prob have this these days.A2 A1 is good for apps on phones, A2 is supposed to work well with phone apps suspect this relates to read speed. This card is A2.U3 This claims the write speed will be over 30mbs thus is as high as u numbers go.V30 also guarantees a write speed over 30mbs the higher levels of this available are V60 And V90 and cost a lot more. Note though that when I benchmarked it this card outperformed its claimed specifications. In practical termsIf using on a phone like me A2 is likely desirable.Biggest issue really is for those recording video. 30mbs will do you fine for 1080p and some 4k at normal frame rates. For high frame rate 4k or 8k and youll want V60 or V90.This card is working well in my phone and using an Omni pocket recorder at very high frame rates and filming in 4k. I havent tested on my Nintendo switch but as thats easier than 4k video it should perform well. When I benchmarked the card it had an average write speed of over 60mbs which would likely even cope with 8k filming. This is great as if the test was typical that would even have made the grade for a V60 specification rather than the advertised V30. Not sure if I lucked out with my card or if those write speeds are typical.Note that I tried testing initially through an external adaptor and got a spurious low read and write reading. When I tested inside my phone I got better stats and when I used a better Micro SD to USB C adaptor. So if youre not getting fast speeds try another micro SD card reader in case thats the bottleneck. All in all very pleased with this.It comes with a micro SD go SD adaptor which would be great but I have so many Ill likely just bin it. Packaging isnt the easiest to open without nails.I very much appreciate the lifetime guarantee from SanDisk which gives piece of mind.Benchmark stats on screenshot last write on the histogram was this micro SD card.

These SD cards tend to be really expensive, Ill start by saying that. But what you are paying for when purchasing these more expensive cards is the peace of mind of knowing your footage and pictures are safe from corruption or any other slight defect. It tends to happen more when youre transferring bigger and bigger file sizes such as 4k. You should always work with an expectation that your footage may corrupt, so you prepare for it promptly. I cant say cards like these are for anyone, because well not everybody makes huge films and professional photography. And most of the time you should be able to get away with the other series Sd cards just fine. If you do plan on buying these Id suggest buy as many as you can during holiday pricing you can really get a steal on these.

This is the way to go if you want a decently fast card at an affordable price. Price match this to amazon and you get an additional 10 off. But with that said, BUYER BEWARE If you are shooting video in formats higher than 4K XAVC S, youll want to get a v60 or v90 card instead. Just because the speed is rated to be fast enough, doesnt mean youll be always be able to.
