Great card. Havent had any issues and been using this card for almost a year now.

Using these on my Canon C200. I have been shooting mostly 12bit raw footage with these card and they are performing perfectly. The nice thing about the 512gb size is that is cheaper compared with the smaller sandisk cards per gb. I can put well over an hour of footage on the first card before switching to the second one.I have always found SanDisk cards to be the most reliable in the past. These CFast seem to be equally as dependable. They are expensive, but they are less of a gamble.

Shooting redundant on 256GB cards on C300mk2s.. so nice to have 256GB

    Derrick

My Blackmagic Pocket 6K burns through a lot of memory especially when shooting in raw. The 512 adds just enough memory to get me through tough scenes.

Used it for 10 days of photo shoots and still has space. Also very trustworthy brand

The SanDisk CFast pro is fast and reliable. So far it does a good job of keeping up with my video shoots and I havent experienced any dropout in post production.

After years of using SanDisk memory cards, Ive never had one malfunction. The 128 GB card is slightly faster than the 64 GB card for continuous shooting. In a Canon 1D ii, I have never hit the limit for how many shots it will record on a burst of photos. The record speed always keeps up. The larger capacity cards may be popular, but I dont want to put ALL my eggs in one basket, and 128 GB is a lot of photos even in RAW format.

SanDisk Extreme PRO Cfast 2.0 cards are OK, as they are the standard for my ARRI Alexa Mini. I bought 4 of them directly from ARRI. As theyre tested by them theyre also significantly expensive. Nevertheless, one of them presented a critical and mysterious failure after 14 months of use. This consisted in a problem in which the camera couldnt roll because it didnt recognized the card. After all the procedures indicated by the manufacturer, there was no case. After one year, ARRI doesnt cover any issue with the cards, so had to take contact directly with SanDisk to return the defective card and im waiting for a reposition.Thats my experience. I hope it helps.

The VPG130 cards from SanDisk are incredibly reliable. It doesnt make sense to give this card a bad review because it isnt supported by a particular camera. I know a few people who have used this with C200s which requires VPG130 for the Cinema RAW Light. It works flawlessly. If a particular camera doesnt support the card, it isnt SanDisks fault.

    John

I use SanDisk memory cards in all of my camera bodies because they have never let me down and perform perfectly as expected. They are just another piece of equipment I dont need to worry about. The 256GB CFast 2.0 card is terrific for wildlife photography where high rate continuous frame exposures can fill smaller capacity cards. And at a read rate of 525mbsec it doesnt become a bottleneck during critical wildlife shoots. This is my goto card for my pro level camera body.

I am a regular user of the SanDisk Extreme Pro and Extreme SD Cards. I know that I can rely on them, and they are quite durable. I never have to worry about failures when I have a SanDisk card in my camera.I am happy to say that their CFast cards are exactly the same. I used another brand along with these, and the other brand kept failing, recording would stop, etc. However, The SanDisk cards kept going, even in extreme conditions. If you want reliability…go with these cards

Lost all of my footage this card crashed 3 computers, out of nowhere, while transferring footage. Absolutely horrible. I lost all of the footage on this card for a high budget music video and was an expensive screw up. Never again DO NOT BUY

I use these with my 1DX Mark II. Just fantastic cards that never fail to impress with their speed. Havent had any failures or issues in over a year and a half of near constant use. Very expensive for a memory card, but these give you an unlimited buffer on the 1DX Mark II even when shooting raw at 16 frames per second. Cant beat that. Even with using Extreme Pro Compact Flash in the other card slot, if Im shooting fast action, Im going to use the CFast. Outside of the camera, these make loading images onto a laptop much faster, which sure helps when ingesting thousands of raw .CR2 from the 1DX Mark II.

I have been using it for few days now. It is a nice product. I dont have problem yet. I bought this one with my first 1 DX MII and so happened that camera has oil splatters so I returned it to B and H. Then I forgot the Extreme PRO CFast Card in it, I have been calling to B and H and asking about the card, they said they dont find it. Then I called up again still they dont find it. So I asked if they a signature of a person who received the returns then he knows it. However, they insisted to me that maybe I misplaced it. I told them NO, I was pretty sure that I did not get it out from the camera because I didnt buy a card reader for CFast yet. Then the second 1DX MII showed up and still the CFast card not sent back. Then the second camera still having an incredible oils splatters so I sent it back again. Then I followed up this card. on the month of july I already surrendered for makin a follow up in this card but package showed up with my card. So thank you so much for the HONEST PEOPLE in B and H. My third 1DX Mark II showed up there is still problem but it is in the lower side of the image.

I received this card packaged with the Canon XC10 camera. My only real complaint is that the size of the card is a bit small lasting 25 to 40 minutes when recording in 4K. Once, there was a read error with the card. It did not happen with the 128GB card. To fix the issue, I turned the camera off and removing the power supply then the 64GB card worked fine. If at all possible, I would recommend getting the larger card.

People wrongly think that Cfast cards are just a waste of money, but trust me, those people are wrong. Try this and youll see. I use this with my Bmpcc4k, and it goes so much smoother than with the top end SD cards. Shooting BRAW 4K at 60, SD cards can struggle. If you have the money, worth buying

While the cost of CFast cards is ridiculously high, Adoramas prices are the lowest I can find and I have never had a problem with SanDisk Extreme Pro cards.

It is a bit difficult to review a memory card, as effectively it either works or it does not. This card has been exactly as expected, and is my second copy of the same product. I only had one of these CFast cards and wanted to make sure I had a second. The first card has worked flawlessly for over 30k shots, and the second has not been a problem for its first 5k shots. These cards are extremely fast and I never have buffer issues. SanDisk has always produced extremely reliable memory cards, and I dont expect this to be an exception.

I have two of the CFast cards 128GB and 64GB, with labels showing just the Read speeds. These cards need to be Sanitized using SanDisks Sanitizer app in order to remain reliable. But the app which never ran all that well, requiring a force quit after using has not been updated to run on MacOS High Sierra. I have a new iMacPro which came with High Sierra 10.13.3. Sanitizer will not install on the OS. I contacted SanDisk tech support and got some suggestions which did not result in getting Sanitizer installed, before finally being informed that no, Sanitizer will not in fact run on High Sierra. I then tried it on my 2017 MacBookPro running Sierra, where I had a copy of Sanitizer already installed. It would launch but would not recognize a CFast card mounted on the Desktop. I tried calling SanDisk today, and asked for a warranty replacement for my cards, since I am unable to sanitize them as recommended by SanDisk itself. SanDisks newer CFast cards do not require sanitizing. I was told that I would get an email response. The email that I received stonewalled me. It told me that I would not get a warranty replacement, that I should use a Windows computer to sanitize or a Mac running Sierra. Of course that ignored the fact that the same representative had been informed that on Sierra, the app would not recognize a CFast card that was mounted on the desktop. I used SanDisk cards extensively since I got my first DSLR in 2003. But with SanDisks refusal to either come up with a Sanitizer app that will install on the current MacOS, or recognize a CFast card on an older MacOS, or replace my cards with newer CFast cards that do not require sanitizing, I would not buy any SanDisk products again.

This card is one of my favorite Cfast cards. It keeps up really well with my 1DX and C300 Mk II. The only down side is the price per capacity. From 100300 the price is drastically different.

I have 5 of these and use it with my Canon C300 Mark 2. They have never failed on me. They are extremely fast and rugged and I trust them for my footage.Yes they are costly but they are the ones officially endorsed by Canon in regards to the C300 mark 2 and I would rather pay a little extra for a reliable card than have a different off brand card fail me in the future which would be more costly. If you are afraid of a card failing you, always shoot in dual recording and record to 2 cards. Cant hurt.

While I have issue with the card, I found that my computer running Windows 10 would not read when connected to my EOS 1DX Mark ii. Simple fix was an external card reader for . That bought, all worked well and super quick downloads. The card is amazing and keep up with the camera on burst mode with no obvious slowing in capture rate.

Card works as expected be aware it must go in a special slot in 1DX Mk2 it also requires a special card reader card is not interchangeable with regular CF cards when shooting and recording with two cards the speed will be limited to the slower card which will be the regular CF card … really wish Canon had stayed with regular CF cards in the MK2

Its CRAZY that this card is so expensive and will only store half an hour of 4k footage for this price its really a much better option to buy one of the Samsung SSD 1TB drives which has much more space for almost the same price. In a couple of years all of these cards will have devalued, but for now its just too much money for too little space.

SanDisk has been our goto CFast cards for over a year now. Because of the issues with Lexar in both the 128GB and 256GB in our Canon C300 Mark IIs and Arri Alexa Mini, weve moved away from them. The SanDisk cards have been dependable in every instance, which is of course, paramount in video production.

  63. blank

I recently purchased a Canon Mark II DX1 with 4K imaging. We needed a fast, high quality card in order to capture the details we wanted for this camera. After doing some research, I wanted to purchase a CFast card instead of a Cflash card. Our first SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB 515MBs card is great Gives us a great picture and is light speed. We went ahead and ordered a backup card. For 300 we expect this product to work every time. That wasnt the case. The second SanDisk Extreme Pro card has already crashed while transferring footage 3 times already. It will say you have a corrupted file then it ejects the card improperly causing it to erase all of your data. When you have to worry about your footage and if its going to make it to your computer safely, there is a problem there. I have been going back and forth with the manufacture trying to get another card sent out. It is much more trouble then you will want to deal with. DO NOT BUY THIS CARD IF YOU DO, BEWARE YOU MAY GET A BAD ONE AND WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS AS WELL. I SEE MANY OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. BUY FROM ANOTHER BRAND OR WAIT TILL THE TECHNOLOGY IS CORRECTED.

I bought this card thinking its gonna be the best, after just 2 months, it started to stop it self while I am taking files off putting to the computer, and when I unplugged it and plug it again, it would ask me to format it and I still have files on it, you can imagine how I felt, I film mostly very sensitive events, weddings and conferences, and sometimes I lost all the data, please I would never recommend anyone this card, I am trying to figure out if BH can accept me to return it and give me another one but i dont see return option, please BH help me in this problem. thank you

I have used them exclusively with my camera, in all settings, and they have worked well, without failing me thus far. These cards are officially recognized by Canon as good with the camera.Just bought 2 more. Like most SanDisk products, their POST2017 CFast memory cards are EXCELLENT performers, robust and reliable. Ive been using SanDisk CF and SD cards in Canon 1D and 5D DSLRs and Leica M and Q series cameras for more than 10 years now, and Ive never had any problems with the cards themselves Ive had a few minor issues with cheap, generic card READERS cracked wires inside their folding or wrapped plastic insulation causing random data download interruptionsdisconnects.THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART REGARDING SANDISK CFAST CARS its true that SanDisk released their original CFast cards prematurely, and that they had very irritating bugs, causing significant risk of data corruption and loss as some reviews validate. While this was highly frustrating and worrisome and lead directly to SanDisk developing the goofy and cumbersome sanitization procedure a crude and tedious workaround, THESE PROBLEMS WERE FULLY RESOLVED BY LATE 2017, AND HENCE, ANY SANDISK CFAST CARDS MANUFACTURED IN 2018 AND NEWER ARE FLAWLESS IN CAMERAS FOR WHICH THEY ARE COMPATIBLE. AND HERES THE REALLY GREAT NEWS IF YOURE WILLING TO FORGIVE SANDISK FOR THEIR INITIAL BLUNDER AND EXTEND JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE TIME AND EFFORT, YOU CAN FIND COMPLETE SATISFACTION AND BLISS, AS SANDISK WILL REPLACE COMPLETELY FREEOFCHARGE YOUR PRE2018 CFAST CARDS WITH THE NEWEST MODELS, WHICH WORK FLAWLESSLY AND AS ADVERTISED. HERES WHAT I DID, AND IT WORKED1. Contact SanDisk BY PHONE tollfree, and explain that your old Sandisk Cfast Cards DO NOT WORK, EVEN USING THE SANDISKRECOMMENDED SANITIZATION PROCEDURE2. Youll be asked to email SanDisk CLEAR IMAGES of your defective CFast cards I used my cell phone to do this. Be sure to capture a clean image of the SERIAL NUMBER on the thin edge of your defective CFast card. You may need to pay careful attention to your lighting conditions to ensure that the tiny inscribed SERIAL NUMBER on the edge of the card is legible. If your CFast card doesnt have a clearly marked serial number on the thin edge of the card, dont worry about it. Just take photos of the front AND BACK of the card anyway. This procedure sending photos of your defective cards is merely an attempt by SanDisk to prevent folks from sending in counterfeit cards for replacement with real ones3. The SanDisk representative on the phone will give you explicit instructions for how and where to EMAIL these images ALONG WITH A PHYSICAL ADDRESS TO SEND YOUR ACTUAL DEFECTIVE CFAST CARDS. Follow these simple instructions faithfully dont worry about the OEM plastic clamshell cases for the cards they dont want those back4. In 24 weeks, youll receive BRAND NEW SanDisk CFast cards in the identical quantity and GB capacity of that or those which you returned for replacement. I returned TWO 2 early2017 SanDisk 64GB CFast cards, and I received TWO 2 BRAND NEW mid2018 SanDisk CFast cards in the mail 18 days later5. It doesnt matter where from whom you purchased your OEM SanDisk CFast cards, BUT YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PROVIDE AN IMAGE OF YOUR SALES RECEIPT, proving that you or someone else actually and legitimately purchased the card in the first place. BH has ARCHIVES of past purchases that go back wellbefore CFast cards were invented, as do many other reputable vendors. My 2yearold archived shipping inventory from BH was accepted by SanDisk as a credible receipt of purchase. If you cannot locate sufficient proof of purchase or receipt did you try your credit card issuer, explain your situation to the SanDisk representative on the phone, and ask to return the cards for replacement anyway. If youre a skilled negotiator and you get an empathetic rep on the phone, you may get lucky.Postscript yes, it was disappointing indeed, highly frustrating that SanDisk originally released these CFast cards before they were actually ready for prime time and yes, it was frustrating having to go through the trouble of reaching out to SanDisk to coordinate the returnreplacement process, and then WAIT for 23 weeks for my new replacement cards to arrive. HOWEVER…all that being said, the bottom line for me really is this I now have two 2 SanDisk CFast cards that work EXACTLY as advertised and EXACTLY as I expect them to work EXTREMELY FAST read times EXTREMELY FAST write times and CONFIDENCE that these cards will continue to deliver safe, secure, reliable performance under heavy professional use, as indeed they have for about a year now.I use these CFast cards in Canon 1DX and 1DX MarkII cameras, and theyve worked FLAWLESSLY every time. I use both a SanDiskbranded and a Transcendbranded portable USBpowered CFast Card Reader both purchased here at BH I use these with a 2016 Apple MacBook Pro computer running OS High Sierra 10.13.6. Ive had no issues using both Apple and other USBCtoUSBA converters the Sanho HyperDrive DUO USBC Hub has been particularly excellent and highly versatile also available here at BH.Along with many PREVIOUSLY valid complaints, there are a few grossly unfair reviews on this page from folks who didnt understand exactly what they were purchasing i.e. folks who INCORRECTLY ASSUMED that CFast cards, which appear to be physically identical to Compact Flash cards, would work in their Compact Flashcompatible cameras like Canon 5series and older Canon 1series DSLRs. REST ASSURED, CANON AND NIKON USERS THE 2018ANDNEWER SANDISK CFAST CARDS WILL WORK EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED. While its very possible that you might unwittingly purchase a pre2018 SanDisk CFast card from a retailer that doesnt move much of this product a pre2018 CFast card has been sitting on his shelf for more than 18months, this is not a problem when purchasing from BH, as ALL of the SanDisk CFast cards theyre now selling are the latestgeneration 2018andnewer cards, WHICH MEANS THEYRE THE UPDATED, PROPERLY FUNCTIONING CARDS from SanDisk. THESE CARDS DO NOT REQUIRE THE GOOFY, RIDICULOUS, AND TEDIOUS SANDISK SANITIZATION PROCEDURE THAT THE PRE2018 CARDS DID. These newer CFast cards 2018 and newer are completely maintenancefree and perform flawlessly and reliably, just as most of us have experienced and come to expect from other SanDisk card types e.g. CF and SD.IF, LIKE ME, YOU PURCHASED A SANDISK CFAST CARD THAT WAS MANUFACTURED PRIOR TO LATE 2017 AND YOUR CARD HAS BEEN GIVING YOU HEADACHES OR YOURE JUST NOT CONFIDENT IN ITS RELIABILITY, SIMPLY FOLLOW THE 4STEPS I OUTLINED ABOVE, AND YOULL SOON BE HAPPILY USING A BRANDNEW, LATESTGENERATION, PERFECTLY FUNCTIONING REPLACEMENT SANDISK CFAST CARD, JUST AS I AMI do not work for BH nor for SanDisk.
