This product is fast and good value. However, I encrypted my documents and then forgot my password. There was no means of resetting my password. To get it to work, I had to unistall it, reinstall it, but I can now only use it without a password. It wouldnt stop me purchasing another though, as the price is good.

Bought recently without reading reviews first so am concerned seeing many buyers here have had the guts fall out, so as a precaution I have added a couple of dabs of superglue on the reverse where the red plastic joins the metal in the hope it will help keep it together. So far it still seems to be working.Having got a bad stick that ruined my data many years ago I always test them before hand now using H2testw, the results can be seem in my picture and shows this stick is good. Read write speed tests are reliant on you having a compatible pc to test them on, so if your pc is quite old dont expect it to writeread quickly to a stick with more advanced technology than your PC. All USB and disk drives will reserve some space for file format and boot record information, so a 64g drive will show as a few gig less because this info is stored where you cant see it. This boot data storage is normal on all storage drives and is not the same as having a drive that claims to be 64g when it only holds 16g thereby corrupting all your data.Very occasionally I have put sticks I know to be OK into PC and windows says it cant read it and asks me if I want to format, this can be quite alarming if there is data I need to access. If you get this warning I recommend you ignore it and access your data via windows explorer or by using a Linux distro, if it happens often it might be a good idea to clear your drive and reformat it as you would a clean instal of an operating system.This stick was bought for using with our TV and seems adequate for the job. If it goes wrong or the guts drop out I will be back here to complain about it, but so far it seems OK for the price.

In my opinion the best USBs you can get. Small enough to fit on a keyring but with enough capacity for pretty well anything you could possibly want to carry around with you. I did have one recently where the middle Chip bit fell out, but I just pushed it back in and its been ok ever since. The security vault thing is good for private files but if you just want plain old storage then format it and use as normal. Note due to its 64Gb size it can only be formatted as NTFS or ExFAT, so is only really useful on modern PCs.

I bought this to replace a malfunctioning USB stick and I am really impressed with how small and compact this is. It is solid metal so I doubt I will have the same issues as I have had with my plastic USB sticks. The loop to attach it to a key ring is also unlikely to break so Im pleased with the product.

Using Windows 7 Home and a USB 2.0 socket plugged in the drive and drivers were auto installed as usual.Using an excellent program called Etcher as recommended by Mint, I flashed the ISO in a few minutes.Restarted my PC with the drive installed, entered Gigabyte BIOS and chose to boot from SanDisk.Everything worked perfectly it does exactly what I wanted it to do, with zero problems I paid 4.95.

It all I needed to keep course work on. One thing I would recommend is that you attach either a cord or ribbon to it as it is really small so could be easily lost so I have attached a ribbon to mine so I would not lose it. There is an ideal hole for just that purpose which is great.

Bought some of these SanDisk USB sticks for the bargain price of 3.50. They were cheaper than Argos, who was selling the same item for 4.99 at the time. Bought them to use as OS install USB sticks, so to save time keep formatting other USB sticks of mine.The SanDisk USB sticks are small but small is better when not a lot of room, small spaces and these are not cheap and nasty, like some of the more flimsy plastic USB sticks you can buy. The metal housing helps.Worth buying when at a good price but dont expect too much for the smaller capacity USB sticks.

Almost shockingly small. In the pictures it looks four times as big. So small it would be easy to lose so be careful. It is 2.0 but I only have 2.0 ports. From my reading I get the idea that 2.0 is tried and true. The 8GB would have been enough for my needs but it was 7.49 and the 16GB was 8.99. Guess which one I ordered. As soon as my order went through, probably the first in a while, the newegg Zuckerberg designed AI whatever immediately increased the price to 10.49. It appears there are thousands of these things and I freely wasted a lot of my time deciding which one to buy. This one is just fine. I mentioned the casing is metal. It may not last but it is not going to break. I am a longtime loyal newegg customer. The standard 30 day return policy is what matters, not the manufacturer warranty. There is a rather high percentage chance of getting a dud. If you do get a dud you are going to find out right away and can return it. The newegg return policy for refund or replacement is simple, quick, and easy. They take care of everything. You can count on it. On the other hand, returning an 8.99 item would not be worth not be worth the clicks. One more thing. Freeing this from the manufacturer packaging is a bit of a challenge. Thanks, Mark

This is a really good buy if you can get it on sale. Its compact, solidly built, and quickly loads up on a Windows 10 PC. Only reason I dont give it five stars is because its still a 2.0 USB standard, so might be a little bit slower for you, depending on your needs. However, if you use it for archiving that dont require fast access, then this will fit the bill.

I purchased this as a cheap way to transfer video, once formatted ntfs it worked fine and did the job. The click stop lock did not lock the usb male part when in use you had to hold the slide so it could be inserted. It did closed ok however, it is pretty flimsey overall but cheap enough not to worry about.

I needed two small keys and these were the smallest capacity available. I like the metal casing design in principle, but the fit into the USB connectors on the PC were uncomfortably tight the case is the outside of the USB connector. Theres also no LED to let you know when the device is active. Yeah, theyre a bit outdated but theres something comforting about seeing the light stop blinking before removing the key after a long write session.It works, which is enough in this case, but if my needs were more stringent or if I expected to use the device repeatedly, Id buy something else.

I have had this USB stick for a few months and I can say that it does exactly what it claims to, and is durable.Previously I used the Cruzer Blade by Sandisk, which is fairly similar in design but it is made of plastic instead. I want to keep my USB stick on my keychain, and after a few months the plastic cracked and eventually the USB stick was rendered useless. This USB feels much more well made, and the material means I dont think it will break easily, even when it gets chucked around a bit.I have not run into an issues in regards to it being a tight fit in a USB slot. I have used it in a variety of laptops and desktops and it has worked fine. I would be cautious using it with laptops like a Macbook or very thin metal Ultrabook, as I can imagine it being a very tight fit, as indicated by other reviewers.It seems to be a very good price, even more so than when I bought it. The transfer rate seems perfectly good I am sure that other, more expensive, USBs will be quicker but the SanDisk Cruzer Force is by no means sluggish. I have noticed it getting slightly warm when transferring large files or running certain software off the USB, though this has not been an issue.I have used this USB quite extensively over the last few months, and I extremely happy with it. I would not hesitate to buy it again, and would probably get the 64GB version next time especially as it is only a few pounds more. I will answer any questions.

I have two of these, one of which has been plugged into my desktop computer for about five years and contains irreplaceable data which I can easily remove when away.Like most of the USB flash drives on the market, its a Plug Play device, meaning any TypeA USB socket should automatically recognise it as soon as you insert it, thus enabling you to access it almost instantly.Packaging is over protective for what it is. Youll need to cut three sides of the packaging close to the drive with scissors before you can have a chance of getting it out.Once out of its bomb proof packaging its a nice comfortable item to hold. A nice feature is having the non connector end slightly raised as this helps to easily pull it out of a USB slot.This drive is built to be compliant with the older USB 2.0 sockets, not the newest USB 3.2. Of course you can still use it on any TypeA USB socket, but the transfer speed will be limited by either your socket USB 1.0 or by the drive itself if using it in a device which has the faster USB 3.2.Drive also comes with SanDisk Secure Access software to give you the choice of encrypting and password protecting some or all of your files. Although this encryption software only takes up 112mb of storage it can easily be deleted if you dont want it on your drive. The secure access software uses the standard drag drop feature when adding files to the vault, although not for copying or moving files out of the vault. Just click on the program to start. When using if for the first time youll be asked to set a password. Sandisk think everyone wants password protected windoze USB sticks and puts hidden partitions on their sticks to achieve this. You used to be able to wipe all this rubbish with the U3 utility, or just repartitioning the stick, but these sticks have 450MB less than the expected 14.75GB. 16,000,000 x 1000, not 16,000,000 x 1024, a con common to all manufacturers So either the partition is resilient to previous methods, or the stick is undersize. Either way, I will buy PNY, Kingston or some other make which gives you what they advertise. subject to the caveat in parenthesis above

Im not very technoloically minded, so the way Tesco set out the information was helpful for me. I had done my research and compared prices between a number of different shops and online stores. Even with my prime membership no one was able to deliver the item as quickly as Tesco could. Initially only brought one to keep on my lanyard for school to see how long this would hold up and now because it has delivered so well during the time Ive used it Ive brought a second one as a spare for my key ring which with this type of drive Im not afraid itll get broken. Ive had other SanDisk drives but the casing has been made out of plastic and the loop for a clip broke on it after less than a month. Which seeing this is metal should hopefully be much more durable and shouldnt experience this same issue. However the only fear of damage I have about this drive is it being scratched up in my pocket which overall doing damage functionality of the drive, still works and can easily be clipped onto a keyring or lanyard.

This Sandisk works on all my computers as with all the other Sandisk memory sticks I have purchased in the past. The other makes of memory sticks either dont work or mainly fail to show up on my computers no matter what I try. So I can not fail to be impressed by Sandisk up to present.

Pros I liked the sleek design, with a metallic finish. The password option for a vault folder instead of the entire drive is wonderful. And transfer is also fast and quicker. Overall a good value for money.Cons Wish it was a bit more flat .. if technicaaly possible then. Otherwise I did not see any bad points.

I find this product, although the smallest flash drive Ive ever purchased, to be excellent. The music recorded on it sounds sanfrantastic. Although tiny, it holds just as much infomusic as its bigger siblings. Apparently, size doesnt count that much when it comes to quality.

Dead handy as a key ring and convenient when you want to give a presentation at a Clients offices. Took about 1 hour to transfer Sat Nav files on to, which considering the total file size was 31GB probably isnt that bad. So far, so good and for the money, I cannot really complain. We also have the 32GB little brother which is similarly specified but with half the capacity.

Looking at the packaging and a closer inspection of the advert the USB stick is USB 3 compliant and not running at USB 3 speeds. It actually performs under the USB 2 architecture. Other than that very compact with a good design and performs solidly.

The flash drive design is superb for me, with a good capacity for saving large amount of Data of any kind. Price is good also for the drive.In fact the strap hole allows me to use a nice strap in order to secure it and keep it safe. I purchased this drive almost 3 weeks ago.

Good little item. Does what it should. The only issue I had was that the software on the stick to set up the private vault was not the current version, even though it updated itself when first plugged in.It took several requests to Sandisk before they told me how to download the latest version.

Ok so the encryption program does take up a touch of memory and Ok I cannot use the encryption on Linux as its Windows based, but whatever the product is excellent and I am completely happy with it.

Its great that there is so much storage but its so small. I was looking at the picture and expected it to be the size of typical flash drive…but it was significantly smaller. I put in on a keyring and a chain because I took one look at it and went Im gonna lose this thing if I dont attach it to something bigger. I also appreciate that its capable of being password protectedencrypted but I resent at having to download a program and create an account before I could even use it. It should be an option, not mandatory. Like I said though, great storage space, easy to use but be prepared for its small size and its accompanying program for security.

I love the small design of this USB drive. It fits anywhere. I am using it in my car. It fits perfectly. Some USB ports are so close together that you cannot put two USB drives next to each other. But with this small 16GB USB drive it will fit in the smallest of spaces. I am very happy with the device and the price.

I have been buying these since the old plastic Cruzer Blades fell apart on me, the casing wore out kept being used. These metal things have gone through washing machines, tumble driers, left outside in all conditions and still work. I know they are USB 2.0 but never had one fail. Lost a few though as they are damn tiny. There is encryption software pre programed on each one if you choose to use it. Please San Disk, do a USB 3.0 version identical to this one for similar price and Im sold I have heard these things being slated as Cruzer Force, as u have to force them in but it means whatever USB port they used them on wasnt to spec

A tiny package tight to insert into USB port at first but after using a couple of times loosens up a little. This is obviously designed to go on a key fob or such as to remove from the computer is quite fiddly as there is not a lot to grab hold of. I have downloaded 100 raw photo files onto this stick to show friends and the quality it reproduces is what youd expect from Sandisk . All in all a great product, and as usual service from picstop was professional, and the price was the reason I purchased two.
