A great lens to pair with the Sony A7c. I like 35mm, it’s my favourite lifestyle focal length and this lens is perfect for leaving on the little Sony all the time when documenting family lockdown life! Fast autofocus, great image quality and f1.8 is fast enough for me. The small size was one of my main requirements without sacrificing image quality and this lens doesn’t disappoint. All at an affordable price. Oh – and the ring on the lens can be used to set aperture, essential for the A7c as it lacks a front dial under the index finger.

Really impressive. Pin sharp in centre, very slight softness at edges. Nice bokeh, good in low light, autofocus is excellent, it’s not as small and light as the Samayang 2.8 but is still very portable. It’s become my go to lens, I do mostly urban shots, some landscape and street photography. It’s amazing value for money and the small size is great for a bright wide angle lens. It has very little distortion even at edges, and it’s included in Lightroom/Photoshop profiles. What more could you ask for?

works great, when it does. AF is unsurprisingly accurate, fast and silent, including video. i use it with an original sony a7 that works fine. however the lens felt sorta loose when it gets locked in the bayonet, and it occasionally has connection problems when i cant focus, change aperture and the camera thinks there’s no lens attached. seems to happen randomly, occasionally when changing aperture or turning camera on. putting the lens on and back on again helps fix this for a while, however its annoying. its sharp, good in low light, chromatic aberration isnt as bad as some say. i probably just have a bad copy with connection issues. yeah, it its easier to put on than my native lenses or adapted ones. which is odd, may be because i dont have any FE third party lenses and only 1st party and adapted that are all tight.
