I think its a great phone very unique with the flip technology, the fact that a glass screen can fold in half and that the screen resolution remains in tact if thats the correct terminology Thats the reason I bought one as in my opinion every upgrade you only get improvements in the camera and maybe memory capacity This phone has more then enough with 256GB, and the cameras are more than adequate unless your a photograph geek I love to unfold the phone and people cant believe its a smart phone I just hope it lasts the 3years under my contract I might go for the fold next time if its lighter, cheaper and fits in your pocket

I was fortunate enough to win one of these beautiful devices in a writing competition and Ive been in disbelief ever since. Its like no other phone Ive ever used before probably because it isnt. The fold action is remarkable and surprisingly sturdy it makes real use of the camera and allows me to create cool effects. daughters brought this for my birthday. The fold and size is great but thats it. The phone doesnt work properly. Disconnects from my car and wont let u reconnect. Everyone complains that ur phone is doing weird things. Weve called at leased 5 times and dont even get ur voicemail. And yet I have no missed calls. Aftercare at samsung is poor and after having multiple samsung products through my house and my families am very disappointed. The first operator hung up on me when I said I would be happy for them to look at my phone but I need a replacement phone to use in the interim. Just saddened to see a great brand be let down by customer service.

I have owned the galaxy z flip now for 2 months. Unfortunately during this time it has been in for repairs 3 times dud to the flip mechanism failing and causing damages to the phone. Great concept, however id strongly recommend waiting for series 2 of this phone with the hope they eliminate these issues

I absolutely love this phone. Recieved Friday and have been playing all weekend. Dont get me wrong not for everyone and I did a lot of research. Im old school and phones are getting to big to fit into small bags and my hand looking like Im carrying a window pane. My eye sight is getting worse, age. It closes half its size of 6 inch 7 mm into a lovely little clam that fits into the pocket. Love the split screen, that you can bend to watch without needing a case with a stand. I like the close front small window notification as I am not distracted by this. For me thats perfect. The list is endless. Yes a lot of money but its the future generation and I think its worth it.One thing I would ask, make the next clam waterproof if possible and twin speakers. I would definitely recommend this phone. Just needs a few tweeks.

Its screen has a lot to be desired. Wish it was real glass without that cheap plastic cover. It is hard to see in bright sun. But since I break just about every screen on every phone I ever had, this one has the best protection when its folded. And it fits in my shirt pocket without extending out

Verizon told us they were unsure if it would work on their network. Because it would not come up in their system, they would not insert a new SIM card. We took the SIM card out of the old phone, popped it in the Zflip. It works well so far. Ther are some who have reported issues with some apps not working. We have not come across any issues after 28 days. Strange that Verizon did not offer this phone in their limeup

This is fabulous I love it. I used to have a flip phone in the 90s and to be able to have a full on Galaxy Smart Phone Interface and it flips is the best. So easy to transfer all my data onto it via the cable. Looks so cool everyone who has seen it is jealous. It fits in my jeans back pocket which my other smart phones didnt without sticking out. I am not a photographer so am OK that it does not have the latest whizz bang camera. The snaps I take are good enough quality for me.

Exactly the foldable phone I expected, small factor after folded, now I no longer have to worry about phone in my pocket being broken. Battery is just okay, it lasts 12 hours with light use email, internet, reddit, etc., but you will need to recharge every 6 hours or so if you play games, especially those FPS.

I have had this phone for 6 months, after a few months a fleck came through on the screen where it folds, took it to samsung and they repaired it, 2 months later it happened again and now there is a large thick mark all across the crease and it is quite hard to read the screen and is very annoying. I love the idea but would never purchase again. Dont know how I am going to survive the next 18 months with this phone, Samsung will fix it no problem but it is such a pain to take it in, find a replacement phone, reset it up etc, way too much effort. I had these concerns before buying but all the reviews were ok and the phone people said it was very rare

I bought my new phone 3 weeks ago and I still cannot believe that I can fold it There is a crease but that is obvious when you look at the direct light. When you scroll through, this isnt really visible.Screen seems to be fine and my phone works really well. I was so jazzed when I bought this phone. I used it about 3 weeks then the bottom half of the screen started flashing white, I couldnt see anything on the bottom and the top half was black. The top half finally appeared but I couldnt log in because I couldnt see the bottom to enter my pin. I dont know how many technicians I spoke with and none of them could help me. So I finally decided to return it. I was very upset especially since it cost so much. So thats my story and I wouldnt recommend this phone to anyone.

It was not an easy decision for someone who has a Mac, iPad, and Apple watch to give up on my iPhone 11 Pro, and Apple watch as a result. But this phone offers something Apple doesnt. The display feels like a normal glass display its solid, it doesnt bounce like I thought it will. It has fewer reflections and looks like its naked. The optical clarity is unreal on this phone. Its giant when you need it and tiny when you dont. The mechanism is solid and it gives me confidence that the phone will last. You wont scratch it unless you have very long nails because the phone is always closed in your pocket.If you want to buy think twice You wont be able to go back to the typical form factor never ever again. Once you use this, everything else is gonna be everything else to you. Even the iPhone.

I have now had this about 3 weeks. Its a phone that gets a lot of attention, people love it. Overall quite pleased with it. Finger print can be a bit of a pain at times. Great it came with a case to cover the whole of the back of the phone. Battery life is not the best I have had in a phone, maybe nearly a days worth of use. Shame it is not 5G. Screen is clear, you dont notice the bevel folding in the middle much unless you look at it sideways. You can fel it though when scrolling. I really like the small discreet notification screen on the outside when closed. The other neat thing is being able to use it while half folding, looks weird but cool. Dont think it is worth the cost though, either to buy or for the contract cost.

If you want something different from the normal. I have gone from ALWAYS being a note plus user to this. Great features. More than happy with camera quality. Love the compact size and if anything it feels a lot more protected from screen damage being able to close the screen. Would have loved an SD slot but thats my only complaint. The size of the phone unfolded is perfect. No regrets.

I was one of the first purchasers of this phone and loved the compact size, fits in jean pockets and no more pocket calls. As long as you dont look at it on an angle the fold in the screen is barely noticeable and the small notifications screen on the outside of the case is a great feature. However after only 14 months the screen delaminated along the fold went milky and started developing delamination bubbles on the screen itself. Before I could take it in for repair there was a cracking noise as I opened the phone to make a call and the screen went all inky. Despite being under warranty Samsung are refusing to repair the screen and I am now locked in dispute with them. Online reviews show I am not alone and I would not recommend this phone as it is a great design, but not fit for purpose.

I think the phone is great. Ive always been a big fan of the flip design phone and the Z has not disappointed me. Compact design, clear vibrant screen and the usual Samsung android features. The price should be less but as its 1st gen design we have to expect it will be expensive. Im very happy.

For something so expensive, why give us such a cheap and ugly clear case The leather case should be included with EVERY Z Flip. Not this ugly, almost gameboy feeling plastic clear case. It collects dust and fingerprints worse than the glass on the device. Device is awesome, but come on Samsung, major oversight in your packaging.

I was so looking forward to purchase the Galaxy Z Flip however the phone had some issues. I bought my flip end of April, in August the phone already had a dead pixel. I sent my flip with Samsung repair centre in September. It took around a month for repairing due to Covid 19. In February, the phone had similar issue with a flashing dot during the phone call following with a noise, so I had to sent back again for another repair within less than an year. Couple of days ago, I got my phone back with the same issues. I was very disappointed. I can give a 5 only for the design however 1 for my bad luck.

Woke up one day, drove to work with phone closed, flip it open to find the micro cracks and then it just went black in the middle, no apparent damage outside or on the screen but internally. Assessed my crack to be excessive force placed onto the phone. How I dont know Apparently the way I close it I have a tonne of strength in my hand Bought the phone for 1,000, 6 months ago, now I have been told I have to pay 882 to fix it. Bizarre. I accept the corrosion on my charging port as I work in a chlorinated environment, but this repair was not requested and shouldnt be quoted. Anyway, worst experience ever and couldnt bring myself to purchase another Samsung ever again. Attached is an example of what happened to my phone. Super disappointed, no working phone and I waited for 5 weeks to have the phone returned back to me with no resolution.

The amazing feature of being able to fold it in half and slip into my pocket basically sold itself. And for us ladies, our bags keep getting smaller so this is just the perfect size for a phone. One minor scape on the screen and because of the folding nature of the phone it rendered it completely useless.When I went to Samsung store to be fixed they said first that it would be 220 to fix but after sending away they came back with updated charge of 880 due to overseas model even though the store checked first and then charged me a 66 assessment fee due to the stores mistake.

I bought this phone 2 weeks ago from date of writing this review to replace my Galaxy Note 8 and it has impressed me in every aspect. I personally really wanted it for the flip mechanism since it just seems futuristic watching a normal screen fold into a smaller form factor. The camera takes brilliant pictures, the screen is vibrant, the build is solid and doesnt feel like Im going to break anything.Some things that I would change is to allow the small screen to be able to scroll through the notification otherwise it just cuts off like halfway through when its automatically scrolling. Maybe in the Flip 2 it could do with an addition of the S Pen but the screen would need to be much sturdier. Also the screen protector is nice and I have kept it on but it gets dirty really quickly and makes you tempted to peel it off not recommended to removeOverall if you have the money to spend on a luxury item such as this and also wanting to upgradefrom like a 3 or 4 year old phone, then go for it.

Because what is more catchy than My Z Flip broke after one week. It is more durable than you can think. Other users broke it because they treat it like a normal phone. This is a new type of phone that requires greater care. If you can handle a phone with respect, this phone is for you. Even I, who broke my s10, believe that this will last me for years. The look is elegant, the front small screen in just the future, love it so so much Dont let the youtubers fooled you, or any reviews from other users, they are just the small percentage of the Z Flip users. To be honest, I was sceptical about buying it because of the youtubers and the reviews, but man I am so glad that I took a risk. I bought this phone 6 months ago, it cracked along the fold, I then had to pay 68 for some technicians to have a look, then they asked me if I wanted to pay 950 for them to repair the screen while it is still under warranty. Poor customer service. I rather buy a new IPhone than paying them to fix the phone, waste of money and time.

Ive had my Z Flip phone for several weeks and am really enjoying it. On the plus side The screen is super crisp. When its closed it fits easily into my pocket or small purse. When open the screen is large enough to read texts, emails and even ebooks and videos. It was super easy to transfer my files from my old Samsung phone, though it cant transfer the calendar bummer so I took screen shots of my old calendar and input the data manually. The camera takes great photos. The sound is typical for a cell phone. I havent used ear buds or Bluetooth speaker yet. I think ALL phones could use a louder volume setting option. Learning to use it is simple and intuitive and it syncs great with my Tab and Galaxy watch. I really like the accuracy of the fingerprint feature to unlock the phone up to 4 different prints can be used so no matter how Im holding it I can unlock it. This feature works well though but if my finger is damp the phone cant read it. I havent tried the Bixby feature my Alexa devices meet my needs. I attached a protective case, which I recommend I accidentally tossed the phone across a room the case popped off but the phone was fine so I think that its durable enough. Its easy to get used to the bit of difference at the fold of the screen but I dont findit the least distracting. As Samsung warns against using a screen protector, I didnt get one and have had no scratches to the screen. On the negative side Because the phone is quite narrow the keyboard is quite small so takes a bit of getting used to. Taking screen shots is awkward as one needs to press the on and volume buttons simultaniously and they are located next to each other on the same side of the phone so its definitely a 2handed job. Overall, its the best phone Ive owned since I got my first cell phone in 1991

It has a wow factor that the regular smartphones dont have anymore as they all kinda look the same. Ive had it for 2 weeks now and love it The build quality is solid. I can tell the engineers spent a lot of time on this phone. Its super fast with the latest 865 processor. The screen is fantastic. I thought the crease would bother me but its only noticeable when theres light reflecting directly on it and its very minor. The mono speaker is loud and maybe slightly below the S series I had but not bad at all. Battery life is good, it lasts all day even though its smaller than others. The matte finish is beautiful and doesnt get fingerprint smudges. I didnt even put a case on it since it comes with that samsung premium screen replacement for a lower fee. One major improvement is the fingerprint sensor. It recognizes my finger pretty much every time.

I normally use a Note for personal use and just updated to the Z Flip for work. Was at first bit uneasy about the screen, but have gotten used to it over the last few days. It has lived through a bit of a thrashing when my handbag fell off my desk, and still works perfectly with no marking at all on the phone. A bit harder to find a decent quality case though. Otherwise, very happy with the feature and design of the phone.

Even though the price was cheaper than most places, I still think the phone is way over priced. But that goes along with all new cellphones also. Battery life seems to be short for me. I have to charge it everyday. Battery life is dependent on what you have running in the background also. The software in the phone is difficult to understand at times. They should include a manual with the phone for the price you pay. I down loaded the manual on line. I still like the phone though. I like the fact that it folds down to a smaller phone and I am able to put in my pocket. When the phone is off you are able to see a little fold on the screen but when you turn it on, you are not able to see the fold. When it is open and turned on you get a nice large screen.

This is really great for slipping into my pocket for using Google Pay etc., but other than that its all a bit of a letdown. When using apps such as TikTok, Reddit etc., the images go around the side of the screen so not all of the text can be read. It also works a lot slower than I was expecting, and Im not able to insert an additional memory card. The massive price is purely for the fold, which is cute, but apart from that the phone is way overpriced. By the by, the case is so slippery that it slipped off anywhere that wasnt totally flat arm of chair, etc., so I had to buy a case for it.

I bought this phone about a month ago and it is a real eye catcher. People always ask about it and admire it. It usually tends to be the topic of many discussions. The purple color is also eye catching and amazing. Also love the fact that when using the phone the fold line on the screen is not visible. Other amazing features are the fact that you can use the phone from the small outside display and the split screen when the phone is half folded. Many people complain about features but if you want the latest technology then you have to accept that its not going to be perfect but its definitely getting there.

I love this phone. It is so nice to have a phone with a smaller footprint for carrying, but with such a large viewing screen. I have only had it a couple of weeks, so I cant speak to longevity, but so far, its great. The crease can be seen if you look close, but it doesnt affect the quality of images, IMO. The battery life isnt the best out there, but still good. It was a very easy connection with Verizon, using the SIM card from my old Galaxy. All in all, this is everything I like in a phone.

I bought this in October 2020 and the screen has not broken yet, but there is a dead patch on the right side along the hinge and the screen protector is lifting up and getting bubbles which isnt the end of the world but is still disappointing. Wait for the second edition, as Samsung did an amazing job improving the Fold 1 to Fold 2, so lets hope they can do it again for the Flip.

I buy technology. I play with allot of different devices. When it comes to it, Ill take a new apple watch 6 in stand alone tied to the wifes phone and a seperate tablet or laptop anyday over a phone. I just dont see the phone as a necessary gadget with so many choices. This flip 5g made me pause. Wow, folds to almost my wallet, unfolds to 6.7 vivid infinity display and then, disappears in my pocket. Really enjoyed watching movies at night, the phone is so light, I didnt even notice I was holding it. I dont visually see the crease when the phone is on, it just seems to dissappear but you can definitely feel it. Maybe my prespective has been wrong. I miss the apple watch 6 but again, maybe I just didnt need that instead.

Nice phone..but… it is REALLY slippery AND… when you hold it in your hand..to open it….you tend to press on the volume buttons by accident.AND…when in your pocket, it is so small… you tend to keep checking your pocket to make sure you still have it. Pros Compact size, just what I wantedCons The Samsung Switch software feature is very poor. The files were transferred but to a new folder of its own making. Relocating files to the right folders has led to long hours of fixing files, recreating playlists, etc.The Gallery navigation is confusing and crowded. All album covers for my songs show up as images, but Im hardly interestedin seeing album covers crowding out my photos and downloaded images. Found a way around it, but on a similar note I still dislike that WhatsApp photos are downloaded to the main gallery instead of their own folder.

I have the 4G version and used it for 11 months. It was brilliant. Fast, flexible and great for the pocket. Some very minor issues that was rare, some times the screen did not accept my input I had to add a little bit more pressure, but it was rare. Would very much recommend the device. BUT forget support. The device did slip out of my hand and landed on the hinge and broke the screen. I took the device to the Samsung Service centre to be assessed and repaired they advised this would be 4872hrs and if just a screen replacement would cost 220. 1078hrs later Samsung have told me they cannot get screen replacement so would provide a device replacement. An additional 2 weeks later they have now confirmed they dont have any devices in stock to provide a replacement. How big is Samsung They have now kindly offered to refund the price of the device. Which I will be taking as the only other choice they have provided is to have the device back and get someone else to fix it. I have been without the device for nearly two months, there was very poor updates where I had to chase up weekly. When I called each week the support staff gave me the same update I had on the first week. Only when I advised them on the last update that they were able to confirm nothing had changed.. So be careful with support issues. Even with this I will still be purchasing a new one with the refund. I will be able to get one in 24hours online or I can get one from the Samsung booth in town immediately. Work that one out…….

I bought this phone two weeks ago. Unlocked. And Im a Samsung border through and through. I have got all the note phones from over the years. I went and checked the z flip when I was in Vietnam and loved the feel of it. It feels well made a strong. Not at all flimsy. Which is a plus…. The using of it is so smooth and very responsive. Battery brilliant last all day and evening with liads of use. Fast charge is brilliant. And very quick… Camera is good. Not as good as the note ten plus but still good for my needs. Compact design brilliant fits in my pockets without the bulk. The folding of the phone is easy. And yes the first few days you are over careful but now its just comes as normal with no issues. The front screen may be it small but still shows you messages and calls plus emails. Plus the time..Down side Samsung health does not have the stress monitoring or the heart monitoring. Which I miss.But all in all yes its slightly expensive I paid 1100 but Im impressed and using it everyday.Would I recommend it. Yes.

So I have been an iPhone user for over 10 years, and due to prices of the new phone I decided to jump ship and try something new, so I went with the Flip of all phone However I absolutely love it. The phone is fast, battery lasts the whole day and the display is amazing I love the fact that I have such a large display in such a small form factor. My only issue is that I wish it was stereo speakers as I watch a lot of content and miss the stereo I had with the iPhone.

This is truly nice innovation by Samsung, this phone is really well built. The screen is really vibrant, the snapdragon 865 chip is really nice to have on this phone. I had the pleasure to have the lte model which was nice but to slippery now the 5g model is matte finish and not slippery also I noticed the bezels are thinner on the 5g model you also get wifi6 and ufs 3.1 instead of the 3.0 on the lte model. So this version is worth the upgrade.

Just bought 3 weeks ago,and i really like it.The size is perfect open and closed,the processor does what it is ment to do,the camera is better then the samsung galaxy s10 wich i had before,the material outside is good but you left your finger prints on the surface of the screen,but to avoid that you can use a case.The material of the conjuction where the fone fold is not bad but could be better,still working fine.Plastics around the screen collect really easily dirt and dust, so you have to keep your phone clean all the time because the phone is not dust or water shilded like the others samsung phones.

This is way better than the other galaxy phones. I also compared this with a fold 2 and found I liked the zflip 2 better. Overall quality and polish on the zflip 2 feels better than the fold. If youre on the fence, you cant go wrong with this one. My only complaint would be the screen protector included is cheap and requires replacement after a few months. This isnt much of an issue though as replacement aftermarket screen protectors are cheap. Reception on this phone is actually better than others for 5G, as I continuously get a better signal than the s20 I had before. The durability is also excellent for a foldable, but definitely treat it nicely as you can get scratches more easily.

Its been a while since Ive been excited about getting a new phone since all the iPhone upgrades Ive had dont bring much more to the table and once you have transferred all your stuff its just another iPhone that looks the same… so after some deliberation I got this z flip and OMG Im pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love the features and the amount of things you can do on it. It seems to so far be pretty scratch proof as I was worried about the outside getting minor wear scratches on it but all ok so far. Everyone who has seen it is like wow whats that thats amazing the only down side is my bank isnt supported by the Samsung pay which is a small annoyance but not the end of the world. I also cant seem to find the quick scroll to the top of the page because it opens up my notification page if I tap the top of the screen

I find the phone is really cool, but I really dont care for the feel of the plastic covered glass screen. I have used phone on my phones before, and this feels worse than the cheapest. I also find that it isnt really sensitive enough, or should I say off center I click on an X and it triggers what ever is below it. But I do like the folding part.

Crease is almost barely noticible when viewing, but you do feel when you swipe over it. Screen size when open is pretty decent, and outer small screen makes checking notifications at a glance easy. Photos from camera are good, colours are bright. Sound however is not as good as I had hoped.

This phone is quite a disappointment.I previously has a pixel which I took for granted.The camera on the z flip is pretty mediocre. It often produces fuzzy shots.But the worst part about it is the talk to text feature. I assumed that feature was pretty standard across all phones given the age of the application. However, that is not the case. Talk to text is only functional if I speak very slowly and over enunciate. And even then is usually only half correct. Also, it is in no way intuitive like the pixel. I absolutely regret spending double for a phone that produces half the functionality.On a positive note, it folds in half.

I have had the Z flip for just a week now and I am very pleased with it. I always wanted a folding phone so as it would slip into my pocket easily and not be sticking out the top and now here it is, perfect. There has been a lot said about the crease through the centre but when one is using the phone it is not noticeable. The Z flip arrived a day earlier than promised which I was pleased about because I really couldnt wait to start using it. The first thing I noticed was the purple that I ordered was more pink than I thought it would be but never the less that doesnt matter because I also got a leather Samsung cover to protect the back. When I switched it on it almost immediately started setting up and set up the finger print security. I never had a password on my phones before but this is great it is linked to my passwords by Samsung pass and when I need a password it has them and I just use the finger print scanner. All the data transferred so easily from my old phone using the smart switch, with just a few minor exceptions. The screen is protected when not in use which is so very pleasing and the back has the protection from the leather case. Voice calls, video calls are really very good and using the second screen or switching between screens is brilliant. Although the price is very expensive for a pocket phonecomputer to have this level of tech is great. The screen does show up finger prints and smudges easily but I dont mind because I tend to keep the screen clean anyway by wiping with my lens cleaner. I dont have any complaints about the Z flip because it meets all my expectations.

I got one from the carrier Im with but I wanted the grey one, so I brought this unlock one, and for 2 days I have been on the phone with TMO, and samsung and neither could fix the issue. Sam finally said it may be a defective phone but they doubted it because they had me do some deep technical troubleshooting. Samsung blamed TMO, TMO blamed samsung but the TMO branded one I have works flawlessly no issues. So at least for TMO, I wouldnt buy this unlocked phone

All damage was under the preinstalled plastic, yet Samsung say its physical damage, without proof or explanation. Does not meet Australian consumer standard for a product. Would not recommend.

I spent a ton of time reading reviews and comparing the Razr 5g and the Z Flip 5g. I struggled a bit droping the extra on the Samsung but Im glad i finally did. The phone is great and is exactly what i expected.I knocked it down 1 star because of the creasebumps where the screen folds. when you open the phone new in the box the bumps are not there and its as smooth as any other display. After closing it 1 time the screen no longer has that and has a small indent 14 inch or so where the screen folds. It doesnt affect it working its just a bummer to run your finger over it or notice it when the screen is off.

It took me no time to get used to the clamshell form factor, and now when I see slab phones on TV i keep waiting for them to end the call properly i.e closing the phone. I love my z flip, and i love how well and smooth Samsungs UI flows. Everything is easy and user friendly. I hope we see more clamshell phones in the future since the concept still waves a few things to be desired. Most of it isnt noticeable, and not important in 2020 where phones are so good, even the cheaper ones. Though Id wish for a better camera on the next z flip.

I had a small Android smart flip keyboard phone for many years but after getting a gps dog tracker found the screen too small. So I searched for a replacement. I was really pleased to find the Z Flip. It took a bit of getting used to with all the extra features. One I love is the caller filter which warns me when it is a recognised scamspam caller. You have to be careful not to hold it on the top half when speaking on calls as you may press one of the very sensitive side buttons and lose the call.

Have had the z flip for a while. It took some getting use to a flip device again after many many years, but once that passed, the z flip was an amazing product. Very light weight and fantastic to carry in My pocket. Great feature that came in handy was the ability to take videos while folded at 90 degrees. Kids loved it during hard lockdown when we relied on video calls to keep in touch with loved ones over video calls.

Its an extremely solidly built phone. My ONLY complaint is that it weighs a ton It feels like a solid lump of steel in your hand. What would have been better would be plastic outer covers instead of the glass ones. Im so afraid of dropping this thing because its so so heavy and made of glass. Ive had this phone for a month now and it took a bit, but I have fallen in love with this phone. My only issues with the phone are that the images taken when phone is collapsed are mirrored, and the free case that comes with the phone has a magnet that is starting to fall off. Otherwise, phone is quick, easysimple to open, tougher than you would think and comes with a free case, large screen, excellent battery life although it takes a bit to charge and is user friendly in many ways that other phones are not. The phone fits in my pocket much easier when folded but sometimes when I need to set it on a table i simply leave it open for a speedier access. The half folded feature makes reading easier and helps when watching a video. The best part is how easy it is to have more than one app running. The screen divide will put one app on the bottom and the other on the top so you can copy or write text about what ever is on another app on the other half of the screen, but if you are sitting on a bus or something it is more personable and easier. Will make more sense when you are using it I carry a backpack when riding my bike and the phone folds and fits easily into one of the water bottle pockets unlike my old phone that stuck out an inch, yet the screen on this phone is an inch bigger when it is open. Im not really someone who takes selfies but the ability to take a photo by sitting in the half open position is awesome and one day when I am out in nature I see myself sitting it on a rock and using this feature from 20 feet away.Im constantly being asked what kind of phone it is and everyone is always impressed by it. I love this phone and is now my favorite phone in a long time.

Ive had this phone less than a year and in the last few months two things Ive noticed. One being the lag in the main screen light up when you flip it open. Two bring my front small display screen has completely stopped displaying. No caller ID, time, nothing. I did some research and other owners have experienced similar issues and claim its a software issue. I sent it back to Samsung under warranty to fix but they claim its been tampered with and thus out of warranty. Absolute nonsense. Unless they sold the phone to my network provider already tampered a refurbished phone then its not possible anyone has tampered with it so Im pretty livid about that. My network provider now have the phone to review the issue and fix.

Within 4 months of purchase there was an air bubble forming in the fold. Within a couple days that air bubble spread across the fold. Today, 7 months from when the product was delivered, the top half of my screen is not working. I can see what is displayed but touch screen stopped working. Within days a black line started spreading through the crease, kind of looks like ink, and it is slowly spreading to the bottom portion of the phone.

Upgraded from a Samsung 7 to the Galaxy Z Flip and absolutely love it, taking a chance buying the phone on sale direct from Samsung in November 2020. I use the plastic cover that comes standard with the phone and its really taken a beating, whilst closed, having dropped it from above 3 meters climbing down ladders and seemingly constantly at work.Really like the size of it, gets a lot of compliments from people and is always a conversation starter. Ive used the halfflip a number of times to have video calls whilst in Covid19 lockdown which Id previously never done.Only downside is no water protection guarantee and no headphone jack but admittedly I probably just need to get with the times with cordless. Camera is always a little zoomed in initially and Snapchat sometimes has some very minor cropping issues but this is something that Im sure will be fixed.Would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Ive been involved in a few forums and people have had the same issue due to heat. The phone is great, but this is a real let down. The worst part is that they will not allow me to fix it as I purchased it from overseas. Just picked up today, i am a LONG time samsung person, i have samsung tvs, players, phones, watches etc.So i got this today and i have to say i like it. I streamed videos off youtube, hbomax and disney, idk if it was 1080p or true 4k but man it looked amazing.As far as audio goes, it sounds a little hollow, not that much base compared to s20, i tried messing with the basic audio settings but couldnt boost it, maybe theres a app or work around for basstremblePhones calls are nice and clear. The wall paper lock screen images are very crystal clear, pictures come out pretty nice.The only reason i give it 4 stars out of 5 is because of the confusion of a screen protector. Samsung says dont replace it yet bestbuy other sites sell screen protectors for hte phone. Heck, some of them sell HD screen protectors.

I LOST MY FIRST REVIEW ON THIS PHONE.So Im trying to put down all the info before I loose it again. All of the Iphone gals love this phone because Apple does not have one yet.The phone has less features than my Note 8 or Note 9.It has NO stylus. It has NO way of adding more memory. NO ear phone Jack. NO Iris recognition but a hard to use finger print reader. It only works after many trys, glad it has a four digit code when the reader does not detect a programed finger print.NO video calling, you have to use a new app called DUO which is actually FREE to down load from the Google store and the Apple store to make a video calls with the DUO phone app.The software program for my Yahoo mail is different on this flip phone.The Z flip phone is very slippery when wet and it loves finger prints on screen. I bought a phone protector from ARAREE and also a holster with a belt clip from BELTRON . I use them both. I only use the phone holder with the belt clip. I use the ARAREE protector that has a place to put a lanyard on and it also has a movable plastic cover over the swival hinge. See the pictures for details.The keyboard splits up when rotating the phone to make the screen larger.the system of charging my watch 3 with this phone does not charge because of the phone protector blocks the charging signal from the flip phone.Best to use a lanyard around your wrist. I use a Blutooth keyboard and mouse instead of the split keyboard when you rotate the phone.This phone will be used as my spare phone while my primary phone will be a Note 9. It is a nice paper weight that I can keep in my shirt pocket. It is a nice conversation piece when you flip it open in front of any Iphone users.My primary phone will still be a Note 9.Thank you Samsung for making a Iphone that flips in the middle.

I have used the phone for the last 3 weeks and its an amazing product.Being a new product, with new features i was reticent initially, but I was wrong.The phone is well built and it feels like a high quality product when hold in hand or used.The screen is a capodopera .The battery is more than I expected from it, considering the fact that they had to relocate and rethink . Again i was wrong. The battery hold me around 36 hours and I am using it above average.The new layout is amazing in the front pockets and it does allows for more movement.I will give it a 5 star review with no hold backs.I do recognise it.

I got to say I love the phone it is definitely different I am coming over from the Galaxy fold so it is a little bit on the different side I do got to admit the flip to open to answer is cool and to close the phone to hang up is also pretty radical. The price does reflect a bit on the steep side but I promise you every time that you look at your phone day after day the price will not matter you will be happy with the purchase. Plus if youre a person who loves attention anyone who sees you flip your phone is going to definitely flip their lid.

It is ok. The Note is better. The Screen is too thick so it doesnt feel your fingers well. You cant unlock it and leave it unlocked I have utubed every which way to work it out. Screenshots are not ergonomically. Lock and volume buttons on same side so hard to take screenshot while keys on same side. Ive always been a note user since the note 4, so this was a big change for me. I really wanted to go for something different this time as the note phones were becoming too big for my small hands, and upgrading each year the difference to me was very little. Even after reading reviews and watching U tube vids on the z flip they were a mixture of good and not so good, so i just got the phone to try it out for myself which is the best way to know. So after weighing up the pros and cons no microSD, edge panels and s pen and setting the phone up i really began to like this phone a lot. The same UI as the note 10 , vibrant vivid screen, the colours more deeper in fact I liked it better than my note 10, good to hold when on a call no more hand ache and even better to hold when folded. Now the screen does have a permanent crease in the centre but I already knew about that and is only noticeable when the screen is off and at a angle, you dont see it while using the phone and does not effect what you see on screen in any way. The fingerprint scanner i found was quicker and better to use, one handed operation, where as the note 10 needs 2 hands. This phone does not have the same inbuilt speakers as the note 10 so you can only get dolby atmos when connected to Bluetooth headphones and speakers. The speed of the phone I found was quicker than on my note 10, and battery life the same. The outer screen display is small but good enough and when it goes off, tap the screen to bring it up and you can scroll left and right. The camera is good even though its a lower spec than the note 10 The quality and build is excellent, decent weight to it, small and compact, feels good to hold and fits great in your pocket or small bag. Yes its not dust and waterproof and more care is needed with the screen buts its far from a delicate phone and you just look after it like you would any other phone. The mirror finish although very nice it does make the phone slippery so i highly recommend getting a hard shell case. Dont bother with the one included. The more I have used this phone the more I like it and was the best decision i made, no regrets. I do miss the microSD card and s pen so I ended up upgrading my tablet and got a tab s6, problem solved though. This is not a phone for everyone, some will like it, some wont. If you like the look of this phone but unsure, just get one and try it, thats the best way you will know for sure if this phone is right for you.

Done the same picture with a competitive pho e company i11 and is absolutely over and above.Battery holds for 2 days in normal usage. Never overcharged the battery and I leave it on charge only for 3 hours.Unfortunately I did had an accident and the phone once more proven its resistance.My kid stood on my pocket. In the pocket was the phone and the keys. The keys broken the glass of the camera but everything else was intact. My biggest worries was the screen but this was intact.ConclusionsGreat phone , more reliable and resistant then expected.Great battery life and amazing camera.

This is THE BEST phone for video calls during lockdown. Just find any flat surface, pop the lid and youre good to go. The screen has held up surprisingly well, no gashes or scratches but Im also mindful not to open the phone with my fingernails. Feels pretty much like the Galaxy S10 I came from minus a camera lens and headphone jack. I have no doubt the future is foldable phones and this is just early days. I wish more apps made use of the folding screen instead of just Youtube. The phone is also way too expensive for what it is but I guess thats the early adoption tax.

Please add wireless dex, theres no dex at all. Which is shocking but having come from a s20 the battery life is so much better ditching the exoynsys chip. I dont like using the phone with a case though, it adds heft you just dont need. So really does feel like a game changer phone. Shame some simple things are missing. Super fast charging, dex, faster hz, contactless has taken a bit longer to pay when I use it. But I have been blown away by it. I still feel maybe I should have got myself a fold. But this phone is all about the space saving.

I knew I wanted to get one of the folding smart phones well before they came out. I missed the first wave because I wanted a phone with 5G. I waited to purchase until the new RAZR came out. I did research and was torn between the Z Flip and RAZR 5G. After watching multiple reviews, it was very clear that the Z Flip was the better phone of the 2. I love everything about this phone vibrant screen, fast snapdragon 865 processor, the phones might not be top of the line but they are definitely good enough for my uses, when folded the phone is incredibly compact. Phone does not support DEX as of now, but Samsung might push it through an update like they did with the first Samsung Fold. This phone was everything I was hoping for a folding flip phone, it is nice to have a clamshell phone again.

I bought the z flip outright in July last year. 5 weeks after purchasing it the a pixel went put on the screen I was expected to pay another 1000 to fix it. A Eventually I got it back and fixed at no cost then 8 weeks later the same thing happens and the screen was rippling and coming off the phone. Ive had this phone for 2 months now. I read all reviews and watched all videos. I have one mark on my screen from dropping it on my bathroom floor but hasnt affected it what so ever. Ive sat on the phone too with no evidence of it. I use a 3rd party case which I recommend, one that is strong enough to take the hit unless you dont mind the outter glass breaking after a few drops. The opening and closing is a lot smoother and less stiff now but still has the classic snap shut that all flip phones have. The camera is amazing, the photos are beautiful on screen as well as on the computer.

The screen while delicate doesnt seem to need baying, Ive used my finger to press the screen open not recommeneded but I did test it.The camera is on par with s10 and n10 series phones so I may not have the best on the market currently but I sure can hold its own.Lastly the over all body design. It is beautiful This is the first samsung phone in a few years that has really caught my eye. Because I am sick in this covid pandemic situation, I have no energy to argue with this. Then the results is that I pay 2199 for a pretty garbage. Being using this phone for exactly one month now with no regrets.The portability is simply amazing, theres none like it and you get this joy from just flipping it open and closing it back.I love the screen and cant notice any significant difference from my S10 with the QHD display. Phone is very snappy and battery life is excellent. I charge it once in a day and Im never worried of the battery dying on me when out and about, considering the fact that Im an heavy user.THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ON THE PHONE.A better camera would be nice. Camera isnt so great but still does the job well. I wish the fingerprint scanner which works as a scroll for pulling down the top notifications can be used as a scroll for apps. A bigger external display would be better too. The functionality and user interface options are incredible, allowing all sorts of ways to run apps and personalize to your particular requirements.There has been comments about the battery life which, I have to admit, concerned me. I have to say that this little unit lasts me 2 days without a problem. I am not a heavy user but do regularly make and receive calls and makereceive messages and as yet have not gone below 40 battery.I also purchased the leather case I would recommend it, not alone because it looks really nice, but because the unit is very slick and could be easily dropped.

The idea is beautiful. It is a beautiful device. Unfortunately it is not built for every day use. Opening the device is hard work. Trying to answer a phone call is hard work. The little screen on the outside is awful. The display is an absolute fingerprint magnet. It is impossible to keep clean. You worry constantly about it breaking. No waterproofing. Slow to charge. No 120hz display. The speaker is awful. If you want a foldable device go with the fold. The Zflip is a statement piece for a Saturday night out. Simply not built for every day use and the screen I do not believe will last 6 months.

I have accidentally dropped the closed phone on concrete floor a couple of times, and in both instances the screen survived without a scratch. The only issue I have with this phone is that its not water resistant other than that I highly recommend the Flip to anyone with butterfingers like mine

I received my z flip just over a week ago now. Transferring the data from my old phone with the cable was quick and easy. I love the feel of the phone and find the opening and closing puts a smile on my face even now. I have read reviews who knock the camera but so far I have found the quality is good. One recommended thing I would suggest is go on you tube and check all the z flip tricks and features which are endless. I use the phone all day and use the split screen everyday watching videos, checking emails or news, on top of this use the bubble to check messages. The battery is low at the end of the day but so far I have never had to stop using to recharge the phone. If I was asked would I get a Z flip again knowing what I know now the answer would be yes.

So I decided to ditch my note 10 plus for the Galaxy z flip 5g ..I was a bit nervous about doing it but I wanted a big screen phone that fitted in my pocketI ordered my phone and bought the leather case ,which if I am being honest dont bother ,1 its expensive, 2 it keeps falling off the phone and for 70 pound its a waste of money ,but it does feel good on the phone .Back to the phone …..build quality is definitely premium and I absolutely love this phone ..it comes with a screen protector which is a finger print magnet, I am forever cleaning it .The small screen on the front doesnt bother me as I wear a galaxy watch so all my notifications go to that ..the battery life lasts as long if not longer than my old note. Pros Its a breath of fresh air after years of phones getting larger and larger to again have a device I can slip into my pocket without it preventing me sitting down. The folding screen hasnt lost its wow factor and I find myself two months later still opening and closing the phone …….just because it feels nice. Battery is still full so all reminders and alarms were going all day you cant dismiss them because the screen is not working at all.Turned up at the store they told me I need to make an appointment. I have had the phone since launch and for the most part it has been a very reliable phone. Works great with my Gear S3. Battery is..fine. Not terrific, but not terrible, given the size. Seems to last about as long as my prior Samsung devices. Screen is serviceable, no 120 Hz but wasnt expecting it. Camera is again fine noticing a theme, nothing to write home about, but again its the first generation of relatively new tech. Outer screen is exactly what everyone else pointed out. Useless, save for checking time, battery life, music player, and maybe caller ID. Does get a bit warm at times. My main issue is what seems to be a manufacturer defect from the their first attempt at a flip. My warranty expired in April of 2021 and shortly thereafter , I have noticed a crack running horizontal across the crease of the phone. Concierge informed me that it would start at 117 for repair and would have to mail it in as there are no Samsung repair stores in my area. Weighing my option, I thought it better just to take a wait and see approach with the Flip 3 and Fold 3 and see if the wear in the crease if any, rumored to not have a crease continues to be an issue. My only other nitpick with this phone is what another reviewer commented on, and that is no DEX. A 1500 phone with no DEX feature is just simply inexcusable. Heres hoping they add the feature to the Flip 3. I still recommend the phone as it is worlds better than the razr flip in terms of quality and function. The limited features, camera, etc may all be average but this is still your best option for a smartflip.If you have the means buy it, if not, hold off for the Flip 3 as it will not be as large an admittance fee to smart flips.

The main problem with the cell phone is the strength of the devices screen in general. A grain of sand, something getting caught when you fold the phone closed, or a finger nail will damage or place a noticeable dent in the screen. The screen is also harder to clean, because if you have something stuck on the screen, you cant put pressure and glide your finger nail on the screen to get it off. I personally wouldnt suggest getting this phone for people who are constantly on the go and traveling, but if you are someone who babies their phone allot, this would be the phone for you.

Love the folding ability of the phone. The fact that i have a normal phone when i want it, but then can fold it and leave it in my front shirt pocket works wonders. Its a head turner when i flip it open and people stare for a little bit. Love it so far, like a s10e but flippable.wish i had a telephoto lens but overall all i use in the phone works well.

I bought a Samsung Note 10 and Samsung sells and feels its value is at almost 1500 cdn.Now if I go trade this same phone, not a month after purchase, its trade in value is 322 as rated by Samsung. Samsung please stop the hype that a phone is worth so much.No confidence booster for the z flip, when there is an option to purchase screen replacement within the first year.Samsung how much is screen replacement after the first year, cuz alot of ppl will be still paying this car loan phone off after a year when it is out of warranty.

Into the second week of ownership and I was loving it till a stuck pixel or dead pixel however u call it appeared on the screen. And in caution I wiped the phone and turned it off to discover DPD cant pick it up till Monday, which 48 hours from now. Honest I dont know why people use DPD, Ive had several run ins with them and all bad.Before that, loved it, good battery life, the 219 aspect ratio is great. Very fast and well built besides u know that pixel.Only down side, to be a true flip phone it needs to be a tad smaller so it fits in peoples hands better.Anyway I was loving it until this… now I am very annoyed.

I Love the phone and all that comes with it. My only complaint would be it does not stay charged for a long time barly a day but it charges surper fast so it is no problem. I got the purple one and I love the color. With it folding in half it fits anywhere which is awsome. I would definatly recomemnd the phone. I have two phones and the flip is my favorite.

Put my phone to charge and came back a saw a line in the crease of the phone and a black spot on the right side of the screen. Pretty crappy from my perspective. Imagine just leaving your phone to charge and come back to see screen damage and damaged pixels after paying 1500 for it

Amazing device.You can see all the efforts samsung has put on it.Pro finiture, nice materials and amazing design.Disappointed by the software and lack of use of the folding design capabilities.Im still trying to understand how to switch on the esim as it doesnt appear on any settings.But apart from that, there is room for improvement but its an amazing device that from second phone has been promoted to principal i have used iPhone since 2009

Excellent size, and as an upgrade out performs my Note 9, well worth it because it easily fits my pocket, even with the Otter Box cover which is just bigger than the case itself. Battery is 3300 mAh, and fine for me. This style of phone is very convenient, and likely to be the start of a trend, good for me for two more years, maybe three.

i dropped it by mistake and glass back shattered, had scratch on screen after a while i think its an unnecessary expense, and battery life is big concern and also a setback for this phone.overall, i enjoyed the 4g zflip but no improvement seems to be made in the battery segment

Bought this for a friend. The phone is slick and looks good. Not an android fan so wouldnt own it myself. Also worried about its durability. But if you want a futuristic looking, attention grabbing Star Trek type flip phone that makes a statement like a Hublot…..this is it.

all the features are fine except 1.got bleep noise comes up when i ring someone and end call.dont no why.cant turn it off. Ive checked cant find it in settings. Otherwise its a excellent phone. I recommend this to anyone.

I got this phone not long ago, and to be honest with you, its one of the worst phones anyone could ever owntart with the cot cost over 1000, and even more if you want any type of insurance or replacement if something should happen to it breaks or stolen , then cost is upwards 1500 over entire payments Overheats CONSTANTLY, WITHOUT even really using it too much for Many sametime tasks I have had many cheaper older phones do lots more at same time , and never force close all windows due to phone temperature too hot , now force closing multi window All I had open was 3 window s and feels like phone is on FIRE For 1500Battery dies very quickly, and not because I didnt properly charge it when I got it brand new out of box , the battery life just sucksNo Samsung Dex included The Galaxy S8 phones and up all included DEX and now Samsung suddenly denies me this , for 1500 Are you crazy samsungBottom line , very over priced crappy battery , over heating and denied DEX TWO THUMBS WAY DOWN

I was hesitant to purchase this phone because of the price and newness of the technology but I am so glad I did. I wont go back to a brick phone again. The screen is beautiful and durable and I absolutely love the compactness of this phone. Ive seen some people dislike the small exterior screen but its perfect. It serves its purpose to let me know when I have something to open my phone for. Anyone wanting a larger exterior screen shouldnt get a flip phone it kinda defeats the purpose of being able to close it or the need for a flip phone. Love this and hope samsung keeps making them.

Have this phone fir a week and Im loving it Feels good in the hand, very balanced and when you open it, oh boy What a screen Very lively and crisp Its not qhd but you wont notice it. Battery life is not bad but could have been a bit better and the cameras are also quite good, not s20 ultra good but s10 good. I dont baby the phone and it is like new. Just need to be a bit careful with the screen and dont use your nails on it. Not worth 18000kr in my opinion.

principle of this phone is great , the reality is poorthe finger sensor simpy doesnot work.its too small. it takes forever to load the finger pattern and as of yeti have failed to fine any one who can get it to workit is way too slippery and soon collects dirt no matter how you tried to keep it cleandont leave it near any kind of moisture, steam or sweat it has no protection ..the folding screen is clever and useful for hands free but frankly its a lot of money for a poor performance.
