Quite nice. Good clean pick up. I wanted something that had a good offaxis rejection and a bit WIDER pick up pattern as compared to MKH 416. This mic has both. I am no audio expert, however, I did this experiment. Stood about 3 ft away from the mic, then moved about a foot and half to my right, and to my left. Didnt notice much of a difference. Also, the room noise was minimal.

I Have tried many shotgun mics at all price levels and the new RODE 3 is in opinion the best all round value for money. I will qualify that by saying even if it was twice the price it would still be in that category, Great sound, low noise both self noise and handling noise as wellas a nicely forgiving polar. I will buy two more

Great mic, previously owned the NTG2 and the NTG3 just makes it sound better and more professional

When Rode introduced the NTG3 shotgun mic it redefined how a shotgun mic should deliver. There are certain staple shotgun mics in broadcast, film and audio production and the Rode NTG3 has all the makings to be added to that list of staple shotgum mics. Durability, ruggedness, excellent quality and sound make the NTG3 THE shotgun microphoe to have in your bag.

This mic costs less than half that of the Sennheiser 416, but soundwise the NTG3 is equal to the 416, and perhaps a little better off axis. Bass response is only slightly less on the NTG3, but with the bass roll off switch engaged on the 416 they sound the same. The only negative I can find the NTG3 has no bass roll off switch.

great sound, Very accurate voice reproduction. Super low self noise handling noise. It is very close to the MKH 416 in sound but for 12 the price The only downside is the name is not as recognized by clients.

I will be using this for broadcast documentary and corporate interview audio for video. It has been touted as a 416 killer, but the mic is different enough and modern enough to stand on its own merits. I have always found Sennheiser shotguns to be a bit over the top on the high end they deliver, making dialog on some subjects too sibilant. While the NTG3 is indeed crisp, it has a smoother high end than a 416 and will be more flattering on a wider variety of subjects, and will require less deessing in post. I think it strikes a very nice comprise between crispness and smoothness. In addition, it has nice off axis response while going off axis will certainly cause a drop in level, it wont sound nasely or offphase, and I think the off axis results are totally usable…this will make the mic more forgiving with moving subjects, or if recording conversation, without the sort of offaxis artifacts that make the 416 more difficult to use. Maybe its all a matter of what youre used to to some extent, but I would rate better sound as a desirable improvement, so in this respect I think the NTG3 is an improvement over the older design. The mic over all sounds a bit smoother, yet its high sensitivity and very low output impedance yields a very hot signal. On my wendt mixer, I only need to pot up to about 35 at 0 db trim to get a very nice level for overhead dialog booming, about 1820 from the subject at about a 40 degree angle, normal speaking voice….that leaves PLENTY of gain to spare, so even mixers or preamps with low gain can make use of this mic…..its almost as hot as my B6 lavs. The only thing I dont like about this mic is its weigh….about 50 heavier than my 4073a….it is almost exactly the same weight as a 416, but I think considering how much time this mic will spend on the end of a pole, they should have paid a bit more attention to that detail. Outside of that, it SEEMS very well constructed, sounds great, and the slightly wider acceptance angle and off axis respose conpared to a 416 does not seem to have incurred a cost to the user….I really was not able to notice any more ambience on the samples posted on youtube, and I cant hear an increase in ambience over my 4073a either…over all sound is VERY similar to a 416…..in a blind test in the online samples, I could not tell the difference…..certainly, the off axis performance is a noticable improvement I would not let its lower cost deter me, so far I think this is a terrific mic.I did get a defective mic when I first purchased, but Abes exchanged it since I had not taken it out in the field yet. That only took four days, and the replacement worked perfectly since then I have used it on two corporate shoots on sitdown interviews, and the mic sounds really great….you cant go wrong with this one, its a nobrainer. It would be nice if they came out with a LONG shotgun along the same lines for wide exteriors and wildlife audio….

I bought this mic for two reasons…1 field recording from boom pole, and 2 studio ADR recording. Not only does it do both extremely well, it also can be used as an alternative to that other shotgun mic they use out in L.A. for movie trailer announcers Cuts through a mix when getting super close proximity, which isnt what it was designed for but, hey, it works.

This is my first pro level shotgun that replaced my Rode VideoMic. I filming largely dog agility sports indoor as well as outdoor. Although shotgun are not really directional by design, NTG 3 serve my purpose very well up to 150 feet away from my subject. Buy a Rode Blimp for is a now brainer for someone waiting to invest in a good shotgun. Do it now. When my Blimp was delivered, its design, easy of use blew me away. I wonder how Rode make money for that price…. I will be testing NTG3 with its Blimp when weather is kind.

Im a film student at the University of Texas, I use this for my projects for classes, as well as my own personal projects. This is great for a student or even a professional, it picks up the sounds clearly, on a recent project I kept having to reassure my actors that I could hear their lines, which were supposed to be whispered, while I was across a large room. It is built to last, strong metal construction, able to handle anything you may put it through. I have no complaints so far about this microphone, and I dont think I will ever have any.

The price of this mic makes it so well know and such a good deal. This should cost 1999.99 because its weather sealed and is somewhere around 13 decibels better than most mics in its price range. Crystal clear perfect audio out of this mic.

Im a location audio mixer and I absolutely love this mic. Ive worked with the Sennheiser 416, Audio Technica, Schoeps, and various other mics. Currently the Sennheiser 416 is still the industry standard but I gotta say, the Rode NTG3 is damn near equal to it. In my opinion its even better. It has a smoother off axis roll off and I feel that the mic sounds a bit warmer, its a bit more pleasing to my ear. Also, it has exceptional range so that I dont have to turn the gain way up. On top of all that, it looks great and comes with a fantastic aluminum tube for storage. Id probably be able to drop it off 2 stories without it breaking. This is a fantastic mic for any mixer to have in their arsenal. For 700 bucks, you just cant beat it unless you wanna spend 2 grand for a mic.

I was looking for a shotgun mic for a video shoot with my Canon 5DMII for a Choral performance inside a large traditional church with a balcony in the rear and altarstage in the front and 1,000 fixed seat capacity. The choir consisted of 200 singers along with a small orchestra situated on the stage. I wanted a mic that would be sensitive to picking up the performance from where I was perched on the first row balcony. The NTG3 was mounted on top of the Canon 5D with a shock mount and connected to an Azden FM42 mixer with phantom power turned on. The mixer was connected directly into the 5D onboard mic input. The audio results were outstanding way beyond what I was expecting. Glad not to have to use a separate recorder and synching in post.

I purchased the NTG3 primarily as a backup mic should either of my Schoeps have issues on location with humidity. The NTG3 is virtually impervious to humidity and adverse weather conditions. So when the going gets toughweather wisethis is my insurance policy I will be able to complete the shoot. Its nearly identical to the Sennheiser 416, but with a more forgiving pattern. I would not say it is equal to the 416, but it is close enough in my book to do exactly what I need it to do. RODE also includes a great mic storage tube Overall, a very solid mic at a really great price

A very low noise floor for the price. Worked great with wireless mics and mobile devices near by. When compared to others in same class of higher… The NTG3 has a bit more bottom end for dialog. The case is really sturdy and keeps mic very protected. Alhtough, would not want to bring that pipebomb looking thing into an airport. Would buy again, well worth it

The range of tones and general sound captured by this mic are just as good as all the other review say. However, I was personally looking for a directional mic that was directional. This picks up a lot of sound from the sides. In a crowded setting like an event or a reception or a party, its really hard to get a tight focus on one person speaking. I sort of feel like the mic is missing the point of its purpose because of this.

I used two NTG3 shotgun microphones for the first time for recording the sound tracks for a full orchestra video. My equipment was set up in the first row of the balcony about 60 feet from the orchestra. The sound quality was exceptional and covered the full audio spectrum well. I wish I knew how to include a short sound clip in this review. It had wonderful attenuation of audiance noise coughs, etc..

This is an amazing product, I am an original Rode Videomic user that wanted to step up to the pro audio level for my productions and after doing extensive research, I bought the NTG3, and I love it It produces very clean, crisp audio in almost any environment given you have knowledgeable people working behind Just today I brought it to a shoot to record diologue for a scene with my H4n serving as the recorder and ambient sound manager. In 30km winds under an overpass, with constant cars and trucks passing by overhead The results were that as if we stood in a studio for the shoot. The only cons I have yet to find for the product have been that the metal case given with it is a bit flimsy, in that the glue inside holding the protective foam in place has leaked onto my microphone leaving a noticeable mark. No audio distortion, but annoying nonetheless. All in all I recommend this mic to any consumer, prosumer, or professional who is ready to step up to the next level in recording quality.

The Rode NTG3 is undoubtedly the best mic for dilogue pickup using a blimp on a boom or fishpole. Its unique design and electronic infrastructure allow the NTG3 to be utilised in the field even under incliment weather conditions, where the performance of a competing brand shotgun mic might exibit degredation in performance quality under the elements. In the business of Film and Television productions, you need that reliability and performance level in order to stay competative in your craft. Costeffective selection of topquality shotgun mics, get the Rode NTG3 at a great savings compared to other brands, yet be asured of top performance and reliability that other shotgun mics dont even come close to. The Rode NTG3 remains to be Industry Standard in Film and Television productions, Worldwide.

this is a great mic. at first i purchased the Rode NTG 2 which was a good mic but NTG 3 is way better in my opinion because it has a fuller and warmer sound to it. i also had the sennheiser me66 k6 which i traded in. i found that that shotgun allowed to much natural hiss it was heavier on the highs.

We use the NTG3 as an oncamera microphone, to focus in on a subject in a crowded and often noisy environment i.e. innercity classrooms. The combination of low handling noise and high sensativity enables us to capture softvoiced conversations amidst considerable ambient noise while mounted on a handheld camera.

Bought this product to record business meetings and could not be happier with the product. It is clear when there is no background noise, captures voices very well and with little noise. Only downside is its only phantom powered, otherwise is a great mic for its price range.

This mic sounds really nice. I realized that together with a preamplifier this mic makes my GH2 way too bulky and costs almost as much as the camera itself with the lens. So, I decided to stick to my tiny MKE400 and use it more often on the boompole. But if I ever get a camcorder with XLR inputs NTG3 will be my choice.

I must admit, before purchasing this mic I did some extensive research on the best kind of shotgunboom mics for video work. After seeing several professional endorsements for the NTG3 I decided it would give me the best overall quality and flexibility for what I do. Ive only had it for about a week now and I pair it with Sound Devices 302 portable field mixer, and the sound quality is pretty incredible. It is so crystal clear, especially if youre recording sound effects and getting close to the action. It also works great for picking up vocals from interviews and narratives. Overall, Im very happy I chose this mic.

when i buy gear, im always looking to maximize the value i can get for my money. this mic has a great bang for the buck value in that it has a very clean sound that matches some higher end mics, great off axis cancelation what you want in a shotgun mic, and still at a lower price than other mics in the same category

I researched for weeks on how the different industry standard microphones sounded, and I chose the NTG3 because for I could get a sound quality that was near the sound quality of other 1000 microphones. To my surprise, though maybe it shouldnt have been, the NTG3 sounded a lot better on my recording equipment than it did in the audio recordings I found online. In all fairness, the NTG3 is my first microphone purchase but It has been a great first microphone.

I am a writer, director, and producer of Independent films and have had the oportunity to work with many different shotgun mics on set. The Rode NTG3 is the best in its price range because its clean, clear, and rich with perfect dynamic range latitude for Boom Operators with varying degrees of experience. The NTG3 is forgiving for less than perfect placement while catching full, natural sounding dialogue. When you factor in all the variables of what is needed to capture great audio on the set of an Independent film, youd be hard pressed to find a better shotgun mic for the price than the Rode NTG3.

Ratkaisin ongelman teipill. Tss kannattaa ottaa huomioon mys se, ett teippi ei leveyssuunnassa kannata suinkaan sstell, koska silloin saattaa mikrofonin p nky videokameran kuvassa.Oma neuvoni mikrofonin asentamiseen oikeaan siihen tarkoitettuun paikkaan on, ett ennen mahdollisten kameroiden liittimien sulkemista, tarkista nkyyk mikrofonin p videokameran nytss. Mikrofoniin kannattaa hommata mys mahdollisimman lyhyt kaapeli. Ostin itse 1.5m ja se on liian pitk. 30cm on ihan riittv varsinkin tuon Canon XA10 kameraan. Mys mikrofonin koko saattaa asettaa rajoituksia joillekin kameroille lhinn pienikokoisille videokameroille.

Ive used a few shotguns with very pronounced sweetspots that have been pain due to the inconcistency throughout the polar pattern, but this mic does a great job of picking up sounds venly for a more natural sound. Use a lav to boost the signal , but keep this boom in the mix

Wow, I was using an Audio Technica AT815b and this mic destroys that one. Of course they are a much different price point, but still. Good low end on voices from a reasonable distance. It is MUCH smaller but doesnt seem any less directional. The signal to noise ratio is light and day. I am a huge fan of this mic. I dont feel I will ever need to upgrade because this is so doing such a great job for me. Another reason I bought this is because it is supposed to perform very well in hot and humid conditions. Since I work at a summer camp in Southwest MO, I could definitely benefit from that kind of durability. I interested to see how it hold up on the field as apposed to in my studio. Again, it is outstanding for voice capture in my studio when I shoot green screen. Even without testing this in the heat of the summer yet, I think I have become a big fan of RODE microphones.

I have had this mic for a week now its really really well built it feels like it will last a lifetime. Very rugged I will be shooting with it on many expeditions this year. It is a very warm sounding bassy mic… which I personally like… its much warmer than say a Sanken lav the pickup pattern is pretty wide its doesnt isolate as much as a Sennheiser 416… although for what I do Doc run and Gun style I utilize the wider pickup to my advantage. For the price point it really cant be beat… I used a NTG2 before this… and I would say this upgrade is well worth the money. Bravo RODE.

When I was starting out I didnt have the money for a nice shotgun mic like this one. Instead I got the cheaper NTG2, which has its shortcomings but served me well at first. But after shooting a video on a rainy day once and hearing the little POPS and CRACKLES in the audio later I knew that it was time to upgrade. This mic performs in both wet and dry conditions, and its WAY more sensitive than my old mic. I dont have to get as close to the subject to get a good signal, which is very helpful. Its phantom powered so thats different from my old mic. So far it hasnt been a problem. Its thinner too so sometimes I have to wrap some paper around it so that it fits into a standard size mic mount. The audio quality is much better than my old mic thought. Im very pleased with this mic so far.

Was initially a bit worried about the wider pickup range in this mic, but for me, as a shooter whos often managing shoots all by myself, having a bit more of a forgiving range is actually better. I can mount this on a cstand and not worry if talent moves a bit while Im shooting. Spend the extra money over the NTG2. Seriously. Audio is SO critical. Its worth a few hundred bucks more. The build on this is exceptional. Sound quality is just straight up cinemalevel. Love it.

When I first started doing location sound for TVfilm, I was always using a borrowed or rented Sennheiser 416 shotgun mic and I figured that was as good as it gets. And it IS great. Thats why I was dubious when I first tried the NTG3. But it turns out, the NTG3 is awesome and perhaps superior. Its built like a rock and is forgiving when used for dialogue. Its easy to hit the sweet spot with this powerful and cost friendly mic.

Although, the only other shotgun mic that I have used is an Azden SGM2. I will have to say that this mic blows the Azden out of the water. The selfnoise is almost nonexistent and the sensitivity is amazing. My recommendation is that if you are a fledgling indie filmmaker like me, spend the extra money and get this mic. It will be well worth the extra money.

This is my second Rode mic, the first being a VideoMic Pro for DSLRs. I have to say that this mic compares very favorably to the Sennheiser 416. I also love the padded cylinder that they include for transport a very nice touch. All in all, Id rate it excellent in both sound quality and for value.

I purchased this for use in Filmmaking after Ive rented and used this Microphone on a recent short film I shot and it does outperform the rest of the microphones I had on my list for consideration The Sennheiser MKH 416, the Audio Technica AT8035 and AT8015 as well as the Sennheiser ME 66. Rich and pristine Sound quality with excellent Sound reproduction while rejecting interference from frequencies that would normally interfere with other Microphones on a budget price. Well built with a Storage Cylinder and Pop filter, both supplied by the manufacturer. It is also Phantom Power as this is the best way for a Shotgun Microphone of this quality to give you the clean sound you need for your production. If you take the recommendations of the Manufacturer, thou shall receive optimum performance from yee Microphone.

I love this mic. Works great under any circumstance. I travel a lot and the terrains very in temperature. The hot and cold never gives me an issue with audio. Comes with a handle metal container for your mic, is very handle as a prop. You could use it as a science fiction grenade or something, just make sure not to get the rode logo in frame. Ive used other expensive mics before but this one is slightly less expensive and competes with the best. The only downside to this Shotgun Mic is the price, but even that isnt a huge concern since its 300 cheaper than its competitor.

Having previously owned the NTG2, I have always been hearing about how amazing the NTG3 is. So I took the leap and found these statements are absolutely true. The NTG3 has a hot input in comparison to the NTG2 which is great so Im not pushing the preamps on the Zoom H4n which can noisy at high levels. The NTG3 is smaller but delivers highly increased sound quality compared to the NTG2.Another benefit over going for something like the Sennheiser MKH 416 is the wider pick up pattern. Not always do I have a professional sound guy on the boom, so the NTG3 offers more forgiveness while still offering comparable audio quality at a lower price.I liked the black colour better and it also comes with a carrying tube as well. This is a professional grade microphone and well worth the price

In the industry the NTG3 is what is known as a hot mic. That means it has a very strong and robust signal and because of that you will be turning your levels down a lot This is a good thing. as you turn your levels down you also lower the noise floor this mike has a low noise floor to begin with so the mic will deliver a very clean signal. My advice save up a little more money and buy the NTG3 you wont be sorry this mic delivers. I should point out that the nkg3 needs phantom power there is no battery so be certain that your camera, preamp or recorder can provide phantom power.

As soon as I bought it I took it out for a shoot it performed amazingly well. So much better than my other shotgun mic. This first shoot was interior so everything was crystal clear. I decided to see how it did in higher ambient noise areas, so I took it down to Magnolia Bluff in Seattle and recorded there with my H6. Its always windy there, but the mic with a dead cat did a great job of cutting wind noise. Primarily this mic will be moved on film sets, both internal and external, so its good to know itll move between both well. Only drawback is the price point, but as far as Im concerned, its well worth the price.

Im going to aim this review at filmmakers, so if youre a VO person looking for a shotgun, disregard this. If you have some good frontend EQ, the NTG3 can produce great onset results. I know theres something to be said for capturing a bassy signal for EQ purposes later, but let me tell you this thing is BASS HEAVY. I cant stress that enough. BASS HEAVY. Also, as other reviewers have pointed out, its not as directional as other options. This can either be a good or bad thing depending on your intentions. I first used this out with a pretty good mixing system. I had to do some crazy EQ on the spot, but it sounded great. All we did in post was the usual stuffno real extra work. When I used it with just a Tascam DR70D later, I was nervous. I was confident I could milk a good sound out of the signal in post, but it took more work than the usual stuff. If youre recording something that needs to go straight to broadcast, unless youre doing some significant EQ on set, this mic is not going to work. The reality is though, the NTG3 can give you a signal thats just as good as other options if you have the time to work with it later or are using a relatively professional recording system onset. After some post work, I actually liked the NTG3 better than the usual German Industry Standard option. This is, of course, a matter of taste. So the NTG3 is the definition of mixed bag. I would say that if youre not very familiar with audio production, dont get this mic. No mic is a magic bullet and the NTG3, even with a hipass filter, is just going to frustrate you. I can emphasize with the new generation of DSLR shooters who just want a good mic that they can mount on their hot shoe and not think about. But this is not that mic and that mic does not exist anyway. We all wish it did. On the other hand, if youre somewhat familiar with audio, the NTG3 can produce interesting and pleasing results. It may be good to have in addition to other options as a more artistic choice. Just be aware youre going to need to finesse it a little.

Excellent mic for the money. Cant complain. The build appears to be a single piece of machined aluminum, with a little connection point toward the bottom, which is really nice. I think a couple things to note when purchasing this mic It does not have a AA battery module like its Sennheiser counterparts. It will only work with a source capable of outputting phantom 48v. Its a considerably thinner tube than most shotgun mics. This is a bit of problem when using a third party shockmounts. Ive struggled to find a usable standard female 58 threaded shockmount that will work with this mic. Im finding a lot of the mounts are coldshoe based, which is only useful to a DSLR shooter. Also, if you are using a runngun camera setup with a builtin mic holder, like a C100 or Fs7, it will not fit properly, and require some adapting. These are not problems, just noteworthy points. No complaints or issues with the mic itself. Great clean sound.

I initally purchased the NTG2 and did an audio test with a friend who owns the NTG3. We set up both mics on a boom and recorded to Tascams. Did everything as close as possible including having the same length of cables. The gain was so much better on the NTG3 that I decided to return the NTG2 and pay almost 3 times as much for the NTG3. The aluminum case is way cool, too. The back rejection of this mic is pretty amazing. It almost totally eliminated the ice cream truck down the street. Good thing because I was getting ready to shoot the dude. So, this mic is pretty good at eliminating violence, too.

I was frankly blown away by the rich tonal quality of this microphone for my production purposes. Ive watched a lot of review videos and read some reviews elsewhere and I am impressed by the quality of this microphone that costs less than the industry standard Sennheiser MKH416. Ive also listened to tests with the Sennheiser MKH416, but this is a better value for the money. Rode has done a phenomenal job on designing and building this microphone. The cylindrical case that comes with the microphone needs to be better designed though to slide the microphone in and out for easy access and storage.

We got this microphone almost a year ago for a run and gun documentary team. We use it on the shotgun mount of a Canon C100 MKII and sometimes on a boom for interview audio. Granted, Im a shooter and an editor more than an audio guy, but in my opinion this microphone has performed as well as any more expensive mic Ive ever borrowed or edited audio from. If you are trying to get the most bang from your limited bucks, you wont go wrong with saving money and purchasing this microphone over a Sennheiser counterpart. Its not the mic I wanted for our kit, but Ive been pleased and surprised and now I love it.

Within my experience, Id say the RODE NTG3 is very good value for a professional grade shotgun mic. Its no wonder why so many pro and amateur film guys are drawn to this mic but lets not exclude it for voiceover. Shotgun mics like the Sennheiser 416 are nearly ubiquitous in the voice over community and the NTG3 compares to this very well but at a much lower price. These two mics are by no means the same but theyre similar enough that youd be hard pressed to hear the difference. To be sure, there are differences but NTG3 with its lower price tag, included mic holder and excellent storage container, is a solid value and very well suited either task.

After shooting our first interview with the mic, I couldnt be more pleased. Its more affordable than some other mics in its class, but performs just as well as well if not better than the others Ive used. Ill likely be buying a second in the near future. The only thing I could ask for is the option for a battery when rarely using a device without phantom power.Very present, very clear, very clean, very durable.

Excellent sound quality, just like anything from Rode, but this one is exceptional. Love it.

I used one of these for field recording on a project, and had to get one for myself after. The NTG3 arrived quickly and in perfect condition. As soon as I got it, I did a test run recording some Foley and dialogue. When I say this a great all around microphone, there is no exaggeration. The sound quality is extremely clean and focused. Highly recommend getting it, along with the Rode Blimp system, if you do a lot of outdoor recording. The pairing is magnificent. Plus, American Musical has an excellent, if not the best, payment plan system to offset the cost of the investment.

Its unique design and electronic infrastructure allow the NTG3 to be utilised in the field even under incliment weather conditions, where the performance of a competing brand shotgun mic might exibit degredation in performance quality under the elements. 263. blank

On one shoot thought I was hearing hum. Turned out to be the sound from a video game fan across the room. Clear highs and mids. Would be nice to have a little more bottom, but thats what mixers are for. Great with a dead cat.

During a week long shoot my producer had headphones on listening to the talent and himself doing some QA, he was so impressed with the warm rich sound and the audio quality of this mic that he is ordering one for himself. That says it all. I upgraded from the NTG2 and really like this mic even more. Not powered but most audio techs are going to prefer their pre amps anyway.

Well built, good sounding microphone, works well with the Sony FS5. Use the supplied blue ring to tighten the plug and avoid external cable movement. The version in black makes it more discrete. Performs as expected. Can hear the difference compared with cheaper alternatives.

Ho fatto interviste video in interni in ambienti silenziosi e rumorosi e allaperto in ambienti silenziosi e rumorosi. Laudio sempre utilizzabile.

After extensive research and willingness to replace the less sensitive RODE NTG2 shotgun mic, I decided to go with this mic. I bought it for the express purposes of using it with making short films and web series. Ive done a few tests and love using this mic. What I liked best about this mic and especially RDEs mics is the rich tonal qualities, which is very pleasing to me.

The very next day I had an audition from them and to be honest, the mic and home setup I had was awful and it showed. Not only did American Musical help me in getting a brand new setup, they got me everything I needed before my next audition which I crushed I might add The sound from this mic gave me so much confidence What a purchase I would definitely recommend this product and company if youre looking for the best of both worlds

I do youtube reviews and I wanted a mic with really good clarity and my goodness The Rode NTG3 is absolutely amazing, the matteblack finish to the microphone looks good and the mic overall feels really sturdy. I hooked this thing to my Zoom H6 and I set the gain to about mid levelbetween 5 and 6 and there is no hissing. Beautiful sound and super clear. Bravo RODE.

Well built with a Storage Cylinder and Pop filter, both supplied by the manufacturer.
