April 2015 Great little item makes a GR more useable and no worries with to much sun on the screen. Nice and bright and really helps compose a must.

This viewfinder fits low over the camera and helps provide a firm shooting position that must be worth at least one stop over the lcd for available light use. It has the usual safety margin for such devices, but as it is a floating albada type frame you can estimate the actual view easily. The equivalent Panasonic DMW-VF1E viewfinder is nominally 24mm but with the safety factor is close to 100% for 28mm and my example is very accurate if used on a GRD-IV. The downside is that the Panasonic finder is taller and costs more. As a long sighted photographer I can shoot faster with this than using the lcd which requires using reading glasses, and while the lcd is an excellent example of its kind I am still grateful for the man that invented viewfinders to replace the hassles of ground glass type screens. 8 people found this helpful
