Great sound quality and comfort, however the software is poor, there are no inline or on headset sound controls and the cord rubs against you which sends a ton of noise in to the headset, very distracting. The mic quality is garbage which defeats the purpose of buying a headset, the whole point is to be able to use it for communication but everyone told me I sounded terrible, like a beatboxing robot a robot in the bathroom etc so essentially unusable for me, resold it within a couple days.

This is the best headset I ever had and I even had bose. This is even better than them. The surround sound is awesome you really can tell what direction things are coming, and the Music EQ and sounds of the music are just unreal… I am so impressed I am not buying any other headsets except for Razers They are that good. More comfortable than what others said. I could fall asleep wearing these. Mic is really good too. I would not suggest using this for any other device than headphones. The mic is overly sensitive though without the software.

the sound is decent, but not amazing. 7.1 is cool and all but 1 your game and your pcplatform itself has to be able to output that level of sound in order to enable that full 7.1 experience. this kind of money for this headset you couldve spent it on a large logitech speaker set to get a REAL 7.1 surround sound that will even impress the ppl down the street, lets be real. mic is absolute crap PCPS4 a lot of popping. You may as well buy a blue yeti or something similar w that price tag. 2 the earcups are shaped in such a way that unless you have really small ears, then its fine if you can also get over how they squeeze your jaw i could only wear them for about 30mins and had to take them off its just not shaped in a way thats good for longer periods of gaming. Also the circular shape makes it non noise cancelling i had to turn up the volume quite abit to hear enemy footsteps in games. 3 not many options in software no separate mute button

I have owned these for just over 2 months with plenty of use and I love them. They are very comfortable I can have them over my ears for a long period of time. The colours are customizable via the razer synapse just like the razer mouse and keyboard it also syncs with the colours changing if you have it set that way. The audio is fabulous for gaming and only gaming thats also why I rate it 4 stars. With music the bass is far too much it overpowers the vocal side of music but they are gaming headphones. The mic quality from asking different people over skype and discord from what I have been told is also very good and one thing I did notice is while there was alot of backround noise that I had during a conversation said they didnt really hear my backround noise much at all and my backround noise was close. I believe this has something to do with the setting around backround noise in the razer synapse program which is fantastic if this truely was the case because of that setting. The pull out and push back in mic is pretty cool too and has a button on the end that lets you mute it and unmute it with a red light for mute. One last thing I didnt like which is really not even worth complaining is the sound travels up the braided cable. Although I love the braided cable, if the cable rubs on anything say your clothing etc its really loud as the sound travels up the cord but in saying that if your gaming its not a biggie or even in general for that matter. Over all I love them and recommend to others.

I bought these to replace my Tiamat 2.2s I got back in early 2013 that are a bit worse for wear now. These are not as nice fitting, but seeing as I got them out of the box only a couple of hours ago Im sure they will wear in nicely. There is a ton of room in them for your ears. much more than I expected so that the headset only presses around your ears, not just on the edges like other overear headsets Ive used. The leatherette and foam used is incredibly soft and nice to have on and the headband is nice and soft even for that rough breathable material used. The mic slides in and out really nice. A lot better than just plastic on plastic of the Tiamat that just flopped around hopelessly right from day one I think it was normal though as a friend had the same thing out of the box. The mute button being in the actual end of the mic is nice and keeps a button off the cable, seeing as there is no inline volume controls. The red LED ring is enough to see but not be burning your left eye when its on. Not sure how bad pressing the mic sounds on the other end though seeing as you physically touch the mic to press the mute button. The chroma is nice, not too bright but extremely easy to see. Runs on my phone and sounds just as great with a random old OTG cable I found in my box of random cables.

I really cant say enough good things about these new headphones, the Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 USB Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround Sound Black that I received. There were many surprises that I was not expectingFirst of all, the side logos over the ears light up and there is a speaker that coils up into the speaker over the left ear. There is a great noise canceling feature in the soft cups that cushion the ears and that prevent me from hearing some small annoying background noises while I am enjoying music or playing games, or even watching movies I just love them.The only thing I wish they had was a volume button like my other pair have right in the cord and a cable so I could plug it into my devices that dont have a USB port and perhaps offer other colors. Other than that, no complaints and I just love them. The head piece is cushioned so it wont hurt if you are wearing it for long periods of time, either. I suffer from migraines, so that is something I find important.The sound is great, too. I think you will be impressed, overall.

I had bought another headset and couldnt get it to work not due to user error, and after much frustration, I returned it and traded in for the Kraken. This headset is great. Comfortable on the ears and not sitting heavy on my head. The sound is crisp and the razer synapse that the product uses makes it very easy to calibrate. I have no issues with just plugging in this headset and being able to use right away.

It came nearly packed. Looked great. We tried it with our laptop. The audio quality is amazing. Microphone works just perfect. These are definitely noise cancelling. Infact when you put the headphone on even without audioyou would barely hear any surrounding noise. The only negative thing about this headphone is that these are little heavy.

Bought this as a replacement for my Kraken 7.1 v1. It retains everything good about the v1 whilst improving on it in several ways. The larger ear cushions now fully enclose my ears without pressing against them so its far more comfortable, and the metal frame feels much more sturdy. The top strap also seems tough as well but obviously only time will tell as far as that is concerned.

I had seen several revisions of these headset and bought them with certain doubts, however now I think that some of those opinions were wrong. The bass sounds are deep and harmonic, the arc does not exert as much pressure im 6 T and 220lb W as they said in the opinions. The pads are comfortable and you can last for hours with them on. The moldings around the headphones are the only piece that looks fragile. Overall I find them really nice for the price. The volume performance from the computer is monstrous, be careful And the only disadvantage I find is that they really catch a lot of heat around the ears when the pads press against the skin and begins to produce abundant sweat. But I have solved it by placing between the pad and the skin, a cover of a cotton cloth that works as an escape route to the heat. And the isolation does not suffer decrease. NOTE My comment is not for those young geeks for whom the perfect headset has not yet been born and only the olympians have them. As an X generations i find these headset absolutely gorgeous listening reggae music and rock where bass tracks are so relevant. Ive had the best experience i didnt expect. Good luck to everyone

That might be just my on board sound, others perhaps might not need to go that far. Its a warning more than a bad point…these WILL require a lot of setting up but once you get them right you will be blown away. I am hearing sounds in Elite Dangerous I never knew existed. Overall a 7 just for the fact the price, and the fiddling around is frustrating.

Initially, when I unpacked them I thought they were to huge and heavy, but interestingly once on my head, they didnt feel heavy. Theres a nice, soft leathertype cushion surrounding each earpiece and the earpieces fully covered my ears. This was a little eerie to me at first because suddenly I couldnt hear my surroundings anymore and I hadnt even turned on any game or sound yet. The microphone is retractable, so when youre not using the mic you can keep it out of the way by pushing it back in. Ive never had a Headset with Surround Sound before, so I was not prepared for the loudness and the extreme clarity of the sound. I tried them out playing one of my Kids games on the PC and had to turn the volume down and then I also heard noisesvoices in that game I never knew were there before. Makes the game a bit more interesting thats for sure. I cant wait to watch a Movie with this Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 USB Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround Sound Black. Ill be looking forward to understanding every word without having to go back over a scene because someone in my House was making noise, since this Headset cancels out Background noise very well and with the Surround Sound feature Im sure Ill also understand my Movies now much clearer. I also like that the cable is covered with weaved cloth as supposed to plastic, less chance of breakage Ive noticed. And for all of us favouring a little sparkle the Logo on the Earpieces light up and change colours when in use. Overall I really like this Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 USB Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround Sound Black and would recommend it.

Works with my PS4. The mic quality is clear and the sound output is great Great for gaming, videos and music, but mostly gaming. The color changing Razer logo is beatiful. I would definitely recommend this headset I will continue to buy Razer products.

The sound quality is very great and is a very comforting fit around the head but the only thing I could not get past was the mic quality it was like talking into a pop can. Recommend for movies and music but not for streaming and communication with friends

Although being sold with PS4 support the mic feeds back through the headset with no solution and not due to mic sensitivity. On PC it works fine.

Pros Sounds great and mic is too good for any distortion. The lights change colour and and mic turns red when clicked off by the button.Cons Slightly too big, it should be unisex as I am a girl and smaller than the average male head size so the headset is a little bit too big for my head unfortunately.
