At first, I wasnt sure if I was going to get this item. So I got a employee to help me out. He told me the difference from all the other ones that was on display to this one. I never bought a expensive keyboard and mouse before, but Im really happy I got this one. It doesnt feel cheap. Give you that heavy duty feeling and feels like it will last a long time. The lighting settings you can have on it are amazing, bright and can be seen even when the sun is shining through your window. I also love the clicking sound it makes when you are pressing down the buttons. RazerHuntsman Elite keyboard is the way to go.

The reviewers kinda throw me for a loop since people are complaining its loud. Its a MECHANICAL KEYBOARD. Dont buy a mechanical keyboard if youre looking for a soft quiet one.Anyways I have been through MULTIPLE razer keyboards and I can by far say this is the highest quality one. The switches must have changed because I can definitely notice a difference, seems way better. This keyboard is kinda on the big side, but its well worth it.

    CLUMSYNDICATE

The keyboard itself is excellent, very comfortable to type on, the rgb effects are gorgeous. The handrest is comfy, and the design aesthetics is nice. The only thing I have to complain about is the software. Razor synapse freeze up and crashes more often than Id like, and the UI could use improvement. Also note the fancy light effect can only work with Razor synapse open, meaning it doesnt work when connected to other OS or without the razor software open.

It was difficult to decide between the Razer Hunstman Elite or the Blackwidow Elite both have excellent reviews but the extra LED Chroma lighting on the wrist pad module and the purple laser optmechanical switches with the new new stabilizer bar on every switch which eliminate the notorious razer keycap wiggle justified the extra expense. Note The Razer Purples are most similar to Cherry MX Blues in terms of sound and feel. You wont get this design, feel, or lighting anywhere else. Good thing I went with the Hunstman. The Chroma lighting on the keyboard is insane with key letters that are absolutely crisp and clean, I cant see any deadzones or light bleed. The purple optomechanical switches are a dream to use and make a beautiful click sound thats not too overwhelming. The padded palm rest is supple and feels good. The Synapse 3 software is a big file to download 500MB and I was wondering what could possibly be in this software that is so large After installation, you realize that the Synapse 3 controls every aspect of the keyboard and chroma effects as well as its behavior with other Razer products and applications, almost as if the keyboard comes alive with different applications and audio and visual input. Very koolIm now waiting for the Razer Mambo Elite and Razer Firefly V2 to arrive to complete the Chroma unified desktop effect, Synapse 3 will synchronize all these devices so they can breathe in unison.

I have the purple keysThis keyboard is expensive at first but honestly I am glad i got the quality i paid for. I dont really care too much about the RBG stuff but it does work great and working at night or in low light settings now has a nice sense of ambiance at my home office. When I bought it, it was entirely based off the feel i had in the store. Its comfortable for gaming and excellent for work. I am not entirely the right person for the mechanics, key travel timing, etc, but the sound purple and feel are satisfying and allow you to hear every word get typed out.

Just upgraded from the blackwidow x tournament edition keyboard and I absolutely love this keyboard. The new switches are noticeably better than the Razer green switches. Build quality is great and the wrist rest is really nice. Ive never had an issue with any of Razers products personally. My only minor gripe is that I prefer a smaller 10 keyless keyboard as opposed to a full size, but Im extremely satisfied with my purchase nonetheless.

Pros The keyboard is elegantly designed, ergonomic and is really worth the high price tag the item comes with especially once you factor in the endless possibilities for lighting razed synapse offers Razers ui for lighting and optimisation of your Razer devices. A subtle detail but the fact that all the cables for the keyboard are collated into a chunky braided cable was a really nice surprise when I installed the product knowing that the cables will last along with the keyboard.Cons Im finding it very difficult to fault this item. Perhaps I would suggest that you have a separate button for muting chat audio and gameall audio but thats a really tenuous detail.

Key clicks feel good, lighting is very good, everything is pretty much okay except for that volume knob in the upper right corner. It feels flimsy right out of the box and after 1 year now its getting flaky… sometimes works, sometimes not. Sometimes it raises volume when you turn it down, sometimes it lowers volume when you want to raise it. Sometimes you turn the knob and nothing happens and you have to fiddle with it. I knock of two full stars for just the knob. For the price of this GAMING keyboard, that knob should be of the highest quality. It isnt. Im not the only one with this knob problem either. Otherwise, its a decent gaming keyboard.

I ordered the linear version of this keyboard for a couple reasons. 1. I have my gaming pc set it up my room with my wife and I didnt want to disturb her with clicky switches. I was on the fence about these switches because of the low actuation force and sensitivity. My first thoughts are the switches feel buttery smooth and sound great. They are audible but nothing too loud. They will definitely take some time getting used to typing. I average about 70 words per minute so far, but I havent had too much time to practice. If youre someone who rests your fingers on the key caps a lot and are not willing to or do not want to change that then this is not for you. If youre willing to adjust to this keyboard and if you like linear switches itll definitely be worth it. Coming from a membrane keyboard I can definitely feel the difference and in my opinion the advantage of a mechanical keyboard. It feels very responsive and the quick actuation during FPS games feel very nice. The RGB is fantastic. My one complaint is my keyboard came with a very small amount of bowing in the center. Its only noticeable when I really look at it from the side and does not affect performance in anyway. However at this price point that definitely upsets me and Ive heard others have had more severe cases. However Best Buy has awesome return policy so if youre patient and you get a bad keyboard you can return it and try your luck again. Keep in mind. Do not compare this to an enthusiast grade custom made mechanical keyboard. This is a consumer grade product and for what it is, it is very very well done.

I absolutely love this keyboard. The sound and feel of this keyboard is perfect And dont get me started on the unlimited patterns and designs you can create with Razer Synapse. I originally purchased this keyboard for my friend for her birthday and had to get one for myself

So I wanted to love this keyboard as I do like the key switches, in this case, they were the optomechanical brown switches linear. I did end up wanting a little more feedback, but thats just a matter of what you are using them for and what you like, personally. I ended up going with the Cherry MX Speed Corsair K70. The biggest issue I have with this keyboard is the wrist rest. Why they decided to build it without a slight curve down for comfort is beyond me. The plastic liner around the entire rest digs into your wristsforearms and gets very uncomfortable fast and very awkward. The wrist rest on the Blackwidow Elite is much better because it lacks the hard plastic border and has a curve downward toward the arms.

  12. blank

The media buttons are nice and I like the volume wheel. The keys have good action, but in my opinion they are TOO sensitive. The other issue I have with the keys is that Razer decided to only light up PART of the key. For example, the number row only has the numbers lit up and not the shiftaccessible characters i.e. 1 is lit, but is NOT lit. Seems lame to me. The other weird thing about this is that the vertical order of the characters is reversed compared to traditional keyboards. For example, the numbers are on the top while the shiftaccessible characters are on the bottom. My guess is that their LED backlight routes to the upper half of the key, so Razer decided to only light that area of the key and decided to put all nonshiftaccessible characters on the upper half of the key the letters are on the upper half of the key too. So, in my opinion, Id prefer a traditional keyboard layout and wholekey backlighting so that letters can be in the middle.Other things I noticed about this keyboard is that there is no capslock light ON the caps key. Instead, it is one of the dots above the arrow keys guess which one, because it isnt labeledtrial and error required. Another is that there is no key in the number pad. Maybe that has always been true for WindowsPC keyboards and the Mac is unique, but seems stupid to me not to have it creates extra hand movement for spreadsheet usage. Yes, I realize this is a gaming keyboard, but it wouldnt be hard to improve it.One last gripe. The palm rest is nice if your palm is completely on the pad, but there is quite a bit of plastic around the pad so your WRIST inevitably restsrubs on the plastic. It would have been nice if the pad wrapped over the edge.Something that would be nice is if the keyboard had a USB port built in so the mouse could route through the keyboard since this keyboard already requires two USB ports.

while using the razer huntsman mini I found everything about it excellent. The purple optical switching that comes factory lubed just sounds amazing while typing and while playing games. overall the build quality is very nice with an aluminum backplate and very soled plastic. The razer optical switches are aimed toward faster response time with the switches having a sorter distance and it is very noticeable while playing games. overall I recommend this keyboard to anyone within the price range.

IN MY OPINION, the Top 3 of the gamer type mechanical keyboards on market right now are… Roccat Vulcan 120 AIMO Corsair K70 MK.2 SE Razer Huntsman EliteThe features you want will determine the ranking as with everything else of course. Its always difficult for me to pick a new keyboard and mouse because Im so particular, picky even, especially when it comes to the keyboard. I rank the switch feel, build quality, and aesthetics the highest on my list. I dont care for rows of extra macro keys spread all over the place, I prefer a standard layout but I really like being able to reprogram any key on the board to do whatever I wish this is why Logitechs keyboards didnt make my top 3 list unfortunately. Now that Ive given an idea of what Im looking for personally, how does the Huntsman Elite stack up Its honestly an amazing keyboard and it would be the one taking up real estate on my desk right now if it werent for what I feel to be the best keyboard on this list… so I guess that puts it at second place.Razers new purple opticalmechanical switches feel nothing short of excellent to type on. They give me a great tactile feeling without being fatiguing or too unnecessarily noisy, feeling is 9 out of 10. The lighting on the Huntsman Elite is also very nice, every key is very vibrantly and evenly lit. There is a lighting strip that runs the perimeter of the keyboard as well as the wrist rest, if you choose to use it you really should, the lights cast onto your desk surface and it creates a very beautiful show. Speaking of the wrist rest, its an extra plush PU leather type rest that attaches and detaches effortlessly with magnets, very nice. The Huntsman has a very clean, even elegant, layout with no extra BS going on. There are dedicated media transport keys and a volume disc available, the volume disc feels high quality and can be reprogrammed to whatever functions youd like are you paying attention to this functionality Corsair. I have been using a Razer Black Widow Chroma that my wife gave me for Christmas several years ago and Ive never encountered a single issue with it, Im saying that to qualify the fact that I feel like the Huntsman Elite is a superior board in every way from build quality to the design. I am giving it 5 stars because its honestly an amazing piece of hardware, but there is one board that I would recommend more than this one if you happen to be minded like myself in your pursuit for the perfect keyboard… and that is the Roccat Vulcan 120 AIMO, which I will have a review here on that one also. If the Corsair K70 MK.2 SE had Cherry Browns available then it might just unseat one the others because of its beautiful white doubleshot PBT keycaps that are included. All in all, if you go with one of the three boards Ive listed here then you are going to be in good shape, it all just depends on what you place higher on your list of desires in a gamer type mechanical keyboard. If anyone has any questions regarding these keyboards I have them all and would be happy to answer.

This keyboard is phenomenal. Very smooth typing with the new opto switches. The media controls is a very nice addition. Backlit keys and a very comfortable wrist rest that lights up makes this even better. The RGB lighting is wonderful

Got this on salethese are the quiet linear optoswitches, no clicks.PROsuper light to touch, will take time getting used to for typing anything.not normally a wrist pad type of guy butWrist rest is super nice quality, like a pleather plush not sure if I can go back.RGB is very prettyCONwould only recommend for gaming mainly, not for typing up essays or reports.might consider TKL version with out the number pad and wrist rest.

I am very much enjoying the keyboard. The keys are very clicky and they press easily. What more could you want. Also the wrist pad is removable and also lights up. Very cool.Would have liked to have a USB slot on the keyboard like older models though….

I am behind my computer most of the day, every day and I needed a new officegaming keyboard. I got it home and please know that it takes two USB ports which was a surprise. Chroma was almost impossible to figure out from the directions so I had to get on YouTube to figure it out. Once I did that, it was easy They keyboard is awesome and you can literally make the lights on and around the keyboard do pretty much anything. The keys are extremely responsive but they are extremely loud. I cannot talk on my Bluetooth headset while typing because the people on the other line cannot hear me I literally dont know why they designed it this way because it is LOUD…..Other than that I love it and the lights and the mouse pad in combination with my Chroma powered mouse are super cool especially at night

An amazing keyboard. Key actuation is smooth and quick. Was a little tricky to get it working with Razer Synapse 3 at first. How to look on Google on how to run a repair repair on Razer synapse so it would recognize it as a keyboard. Having to use two USB ports one for the keyboard the other for the lights is a little annoying. The wrist rest is just about perfect. I think my only qualm with it is that the backlighting only lights the letters, that doesnt light all the symbols on each of the keys or on the media buttons.

  20. blank

    ttvrobocorpse

The plastic base makes it slightly warped up in the middle, it doesnt touch the table. It has a non standard bottom row, making it incompatible with some keycaps. The aluminum top is knife thin and there only to be listed as a feature. It doesnt have a removable cable or USB pass thru. More importantly the actuation distance is so little, that just brushing a key will trigger a key press. The V2 addresses most of these issues except maybe the top plate. If you are looking at this keyboard, get the V2.

Awesome Keyboard, the new type of key is very responsive compared to an MX key. The Wrist rest is so much better than anything Ive seen on the market. The only downside is the stupid volume wheel, sometimes it works but you have to use it slowly in small increments or it resets to the previous volume. If a video plays really loudly for some reason and you try and turn it down fast, it stays at the same volume, it does my head in.

I purchased this KB to replace my Logitech G910 Orion Spark which was suffering from heavy use. I wish this board had macro keys on it like that one did. Also I wish the special characters lit up on this board like on the G910.I like the way the optical mechanical keys feel when I type, however, I wish the keytops were just a bit larger. The rotary volume button is easy to access, especially on my sliding keyboard tray that sometimes is under the desktop. The padded wrist rest is wide enough that my large hands sit on it but the padding is thin leaving them on the hard surface underneath. The rgb lighting is gimmicky to me and unnecessarily adds to the cost.I really wish that there had been more options at my local BB when I replaced this. Hopefully there will be next time I need a kb as I miss the G keys and like larger keys for my large hands. If only Logitech wouldve improved the wrist rest on the G910 series….

Ok, the keyboard was very nice but I find the Razer software horrendous. I have had Logitech G Hub and the CUE system from Corsair and I could not make hide nor hair of the Razer system. Very frustrating. That said if you are already plugged in to the Razer eco system you should not have any doubts about this keyboard.

Amazing keyboard, the quality is top notch My only complaint is the ability to move the cord to the right or left of the keyboard like in the Black Widow version. It appears the software must be install and run on your machine to use your own profile lighting settings.

I was nervous about purchasing a nonclicky tactile keyboard, but I was wrong. The feel of the keys are smooth and quick to respond. The audible click you hear is a satisfying, but not loud and potentially reminiscent of a gatling gun like you would experience with the green switches. Overall, the general experience from gaming to typing to coding has been really enjoyable. If torn about the two options for the switches, I recommend this one. The sound produced is most similar to the yellow key switch used in the Black Widow keyboards.

The Keyboard felt great and love the colors, however a couple of days before the 30 day return policy the LED lights kept flickering uncontrollably on the palm rest and main keyboard. Nothing I tried fixed it. upgrades, unplugging, rebooting, etc I wasnt around so I wasnt able to return it in time. Now Im not sure but I think Im stuck with a defective keyboard. Still types well and functionally works thats why the 2 stars.

This keyboard is so awesome I find myself typing things I really dont need to or engaging in the chat just to type some more on this amazing piece of machinery. If there is anything negative to be said its maybe slightly too loud Im truly grasping at straws here though because this is an amazing product. Ive never loved a keyboard as much as this.

This is a generally a great keyboard. Awesome RGB which is very customisable. Nice palm rest. Fast responsive keys. Media keys Cons are , the palm rest has a hard edge, not that great but not a deal breaker. The clicking is quite loud so if you a sharing a flat with some mates they may get annoyed. Media keys are the only keys without lit symbols which is weird. Overall Im very happy with it.

Awesome keyboard This keyboard gives such a satisfying click feedback while using. Might be too loud for some people, but for me its perfect. The only reason why I will give this 4 stars is due to the software needed to use the different backlighting patterns…without it you just have the basic breathingcycle through colors.

The Huntsman Elite is awesome. Id done a lot of research both online and in various stores before buying and comparing various high end keyboards. It looks amazing, subtle, professional, clean and compact for a full size kb. The keys deliver a delightful tactile click, which isnt that quiet compared to say a Razer Ornata Chroma, but isnt as loud as many. I dont like the hollow thwack of most mechanical keyboards, so the subtle click suits me well. The keys require only very light force to engage, which makes for noticeably more responsive typing and gaming. The actuation point is right near the surface, so I cant perceive any hint of delay between the click and the signal. The multimedia keys work well, although the direction of the volume knob seems counterintuitive to me given the knobs placement. The lack of usb passthrough is a minor faux pas, but cest la vie. This keyboard requires two USB ports to run.

I am currently in the process of building a new PC, and as a part of that new build decided to upgrade my mouse and keyboard setup as well. Enter the Razer Huntsman Elite Wired Gaming OptoMechanical Switch Keyboard. This keyboard has highly responsive keys, rgb backlighting and a rather enjoyable sound per key hit if you are in to hearing your key inputs. The backlighting for the keyboard has multiple customization profiles from creating your own back lighting setups to downloading custom ones made by other users from the associated website. In example if youre a PacMan fan there is a moving PacMan chroma lighting setting that will blow your mind and possibly distract you from your gamingrelated things that youre doing, which is a good thing in my opinion. Also depending on your setup it is possible to synch your lighting profiles with other devices as well as your visualizers. The keyboard also comes with a magnetically attach and detachable paded arm rest which is both convient and comfortable based on your personal preference.I am absolutely happy with my purchase and am very impressed with the quality of the keyboard.

I bought this as a gaming keyboard but with the knowledge that it would be used for school and work too. For gaming it is amazing The RGB lighting customization is really cool. Games light up the keyboard in dazzling ways when opening loot crates and doing emotes and dances etc. The volume dial on the keyboard is very convenient. The padding on the palm rest is perfect It makes gaming and typing a pleasure. Its detachable but I love it and have not found a reason to detach it.I really enjoy the typing experience. It is a mechanical so its a little noisy but I use it at home where it does not bother anyone. If you are in a shared space I think it would drive other people crazy.Everything about this keyboard conveys quality. It was more than I had planned on spending but I have no regrets.I ordered online for pick up at the store. It was brought out to my car in the parking lot. Customer service was excellent. After messaging that I had arrived I waited barely a minute for them to come out with it.

The keyboard is great and sounds amazing when typing. Another great thing is the lighting, it really helps immerse you into the game. Games like apex legends where it changes colors if Im running, shooting, or landing. But that brings me to the downside, the price. It really isnt worth 200, possible if it was 150 but its still a stretch.

I own a black widow chroma keyboard already, and saw the huntsman keyboard. I really like this keyboard much more. If your looking for something that is a bit More lightweight, yet still have the cool buttons and gadgets this keyboard might be your match. My bf owns this keyboard now, and Im actually liking it a lot more than my widow. The keys are not extremely loud, but still clicky enough. my favorite part of this keyboard build is the volume bar. The volume can be adjusted on the keyboard by turning the knob. Other keyboards dont really have that. I also like that this keyboard doesnt have super thick borders on the frame.

Over the past 3 years, I have gone through quite a few different keyboards. Ive tried several keyboards from corsair including their k70 gen 1 and 2. While I loved the quality of those keyboards, the typing and gaming experience was unrivaled compared to this Razer Huntsman Elite. I love the way the switches sound and feel. They are satisfying to type on. As a plus, the lighting on this keyboard is stellar. I love how you can turn it off if you want more of an office or understated look. Stellar keyboard, buy it you wont be disappointed

Everything about this keyboard is great for gaming. The functionality of it is perfect and it is insanely comfortable. I chose this keyboard because for 1 its switches are very fast, and its smaller than the other keyboards such as the corsair k95 and k70 that compete with it. Also the wrist wrest is very comfortable. The only cons about this keyboard is that razer synapse 3 wouldnt save my color changes to the keyboard and left it on a breathing effect most of the one. It doesnt do it as much now after a month. I uninstalled and reinstalled synapse. Also since the keys are raised above the keyboard dust can get into there but that problem is fixed by just blowing on the keyboard every couple days or so. The problem with synapse is on my end though, not many there people have had any problems with it so I know that mine is a rare case. This keyboard will give you everything you need as far as functionality goes, but if a USB port and cables going under the keyboard interet you and you cant go without those two things, I dont care about either as I have so many places to charge things anyways then you should go check out the Corsair k70. Its cheaper as well.

Keyboard feels great and looks great. The hand rest is one of the sturdiest Ive ever seen including with a keyboard. Normally I just remove them and forget them. The optical keys are great too. Very light to the touch but they still feel substantial. They do have a slight rattle despite the extra support they appear to have underneath but when I say slight I do mean slight. I dont feel unstable on the keys but its there. Its a minor flaw but notable given the price range.Everything else about this keyboard feels premium and solid though. I dont regret getting it. Im not sure if I consider these switches better feeling than traditional cherry switches but theyre a worthy competitor and Im a fan of the benefits of optical.

Great Keyboard with the Purple Switches, I tested all the keys in the store and the purple ones were my favorite. Clicky but not overly obnoxious like the green ones, lower travel as Ive gotten used to macbook keyboards. Only complaint is that the secondary keys are not backlit . Coding in the dark at night becomes a test of memory.

Great gaming computer. Love the macro customizations and the customization of the lighting effects. Only downside is the clicking with each button press. I knew going in that there would be clicking with a mechanical keyboard but didnt expect it to be this loud. Legit sounds like the clacking of a typewriter. Just missing the ching when you hit the end of a row. Overall very pleased, very pleased with all my razer products and this one is no different.

The switches were handsdown the best part of that keyboard. They are possibly better than Cherry MX Red switches. However, the keyboard itself is lacking in a lot of things. After using for a day or two, the height of the ridge on the keyboard and the wrist rest was too much. It hurt my wrists and put my hands to sleep. Why they did not slope The edge of the wrist rest is metal and angled. While the plushness of the pillow is nice, it does not compensate for the rest of the design. Further, like many things I have had from Razor it seems flimsy.Gets 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 because for red, linear switches, my favorite kind, these were Gods work. Not since from when I first used Cherry MX Red, which was any modern mechanical keyboard that I used years ago, for the first time, have I loved using a keyboards keys for their intended purpose this much.

Expensive, but huntsman elite is awesome. By far the best looking rgb keyboard with under glow lighting. Performance is excellent and key caps are easy to swap out. Wrist rest is leather wrapped and plushy. If you have 200 to spend for a gaming keyboard, go get this.

I upgraded from a previous Razor keyboard and this one is even better. Keys arent as high as the last one making the pressing experience much tighter and the satisfying clicks from the mechanics is a wonder sound. Its not loud like the old ones but the sound is still present. Magnetic wrist rest is a great idea and the lighting just makes it all come together.

I picked this up with my Christmas gift card money and was pretty sure I would regret it. There are so many different switches out there now it can be easy to get lost reading spec sheets over and over. Especially when higher end keyboards are starting to break the 200 barrier. I have been very surprised by how much I love this thing. Its incredibly well built. The whole unit feels so solid and I have come to believe Razer made the right call with no USBAUX passthrough. Why It can be one solid piece with no plastic anywhere to be found. It just feels like such a beast. The wrist wrest is probably the best youre going to get as far it coming with the unit itself. RGB is great. Super bright. Nothing new there. What I really like though is that Razer finally ditched the form factor they have been using for the past several years i.e. Black Widow line and really stripped this chassis down to a more simpler, sleeker, less flashy look. Purple switches are loud and clicky. They keystabilizer on each key is really nice but dont expect no wobble. Id say 99 across the board. Obviously bigger keys, like the space bar, will have a smidgen of wobble. At first I was ashamed that I spent so much on keyboard but after using it for a month I have no regrets.

Razer Customer Support is a waste of time and is unfair. I purchased this product back in December of 2018, but its still in the warranty span. I had a problem with it this October being that there was a tear that occurred on the cheap leather of the wrist rest. I reached out to Razer directly thinking they would easily help me find a solution to my case, but I was completely wrong. The person I emailed sent me many copy and pasted emails without answering any questions that I emailed. I was patient with them since they wouldnt get back to me until a day or 2. They also told me that this case would be sent to the headquarters, but I was lied to since I never heard anything about that. The customer support was not good at all and didnt help me find a solution. What was baffling was that one person was in the same shoes that Im currently in and they were able to receive a replacement. Although his product was only a few months old, both of our products are still in the warranty span. Like my case, they said that his case did not fall under warranty and that was the end of the thread. The thread was updated a month or 2 after the initial post where he said that he received a replacement which is good for him, but unfair for the rest of us. I dont see myself purchasing any Razer product from here on out. If I had one thing to tell the customers is to be careful with your Razer purchases and consider other brands that you know have a good customer support system since Razer clearly does not.Link to person who was able to receive a replacement httpswww.reddit.comrrazercommentshfxqa1replacementforhuntsmanelitewristrestrazer

I really liked this keyboard, it felt fantastic to type on. The keys felt very easy to press super responsive without me needing to exert much force. The only negative about this keyboard was the wrist pad. I have big hands. The wrist pad had a plastic piece all around the pad, which my palm would rest on. It became rather uncomfortable after a period of time. Im sure I could have found a separate wrist pad to use but the whole idea of the wrist pad was to have the LED lighting wrap around as well. If the wrist guard would have been a bit larger, I would have kept this and it would have gotten an easy 5 stars. I know Im outside of the norm with this, so many people will find this keyboard to be perfect. Do note that it is VERY clicky, which I was annoyed with at first but I found myself not minding at all.

I loved this keyboard and was very excited when i got it for use with work and gaming. Im a software developer who now works remote full time and I spend my days typing. Loved the satisfying feel of these keys. Had planned on using this with both my PC and my MacBook. Right out of the box i had issues with the software. I reprogrammed the media keys and they wouldnt work with the new assigned functions they kept reverting back to media controls. The keyboard and mamba elite mouse I have occasionally freeze from 530 seconds, the colors go out, and then it comes back online and works fine. This is maddening to say the least. When i kill the synapse software they both work fine. However, without this software you cannot reprogram the keys or configure a color scheme on your hardware. Then I went to set these up on my Mac….NO MAC SUPPORT The mouse and keyboard work fine but you cant configure the colors or reprogram keys. Shame on Razers lazy developers for omitting an entire group of users especially when previous versions of their software supported Macs.I have returned this keyboard and I am considering returning the mouse too. When you pay such a premium for a keyboard you expect everything about it to be premium. Will be looking into other mechanical keyboards. These issues are not due to a lack of resources. Both my machines have 7th and 8th gen CPUs, 16GB of RAM and SSD drives

The actual mechanics and feel is fairly solid. One of the best feeling clicks Ive felt on a keyboard. However its lack for support on Mac OS is unbelievably disappointing. Its been years with no support. It could have at least incorporated onboard memory for color presets as a simple work around. The leather portion has lost some of its firmness, but all in all has held up fairly well. Cheers.

Upgraded from my Blackwidow Elite, which i loved. Huntsman feels even better with a slightly smaller footprint which is nice for my keyboard tray space. Looks excellent and was seamless in setting up with Razer Cortex software. The magnetized wrist pad is fantastic, comfortable, and looks great with the RGB strip. I didnt test the response time, against the Blackwidow, ill let the tech sites do that, but it feels faster in its tactile response.

Gotta give it to Razer on this one, this keyboard has been an absolute joy to use. The board in general is very well built, has 0 deck flex and looks sharp with the aluminum backplate and exposed switch bases, which also makes it easy to keep clean. The lighting on the keyboard as well is great and wraps around the entire keyboard including the wrist wrest which is very comfortable, only downside is that it takes 2 usb ports to power the additional on the wrist wrest lighting, so no USB pass through sadly like the Blackwidow.Their not the first brand to do opticalmechanical switches but theyve been a joy to type on, great feature about them is each switch having a stabilizer bar instead of just the larger keys so theres no key wobble and pressing the keys at any angle feels consistent. As for the response times and feel, they basically feel like Cherry MX Blues, Razer Greens, or anything similar, the throw on them is extremely short which is excellent and an improvement if youre moving over from those types of switches, just dont expect to notice a massive latency difference. All and all, great package, kind of hard to cough up the 200 for a mechanical keyboard but I felt like it was worth it.

This keyboard is simply wonderful. Keystrokes are light and quick, in fact there is a bit of a learning curve when you first start it because its way lighter than any other keyboard you have every used before, brushing a key hitting that key. That said, its comfortable, fast looks good. no complaints, this is a premium keyboard.

I have been a fan of mechanical keyboards since using an IBM variant in the late 1980searly 1990s. When using these type of keyboards, my typing is more accurate and faster as I know the keys are actually being actuated. This unit has the clicky keys, the RBG lighting is overwhelming, use the software to control the lighting effects. Speaking of lighting..not all of the keys have full back lighting, chiefly the number keys and some the ancillary keys which only illuminates the 1 but not the exclamation mark, or the colonsemicolon keys, etc. I have both Logitech and Corsair keyboards were all of the keys and character are backlit. Another plus is the dedicated volume control in the upper right corner. Otherwise, its a great product overall.

Great build quality, long switch lifespan, and RGB galore. I highly recommend the Linear switches. If youre on the fence about buying the PBT keycaps, dont. The powder coating wears off on them after no more than a month of use. After that wears off, theyre no better than the keycaps that were on the keyboard to begin with.

It is super loud And the pad connects via magnets, so sometimes it can come apart and then the lighting around the pad turns off. It doesnt happen often. There is a cord for the keyboard and a cord for the pad lighting, so if you want the whole thing to light up its going to take up two of your usb slots. Overall its a great keyboard and Im very happy with it. Super customizable and looks slick.

I bought this keyboard after using the Razer Ornata Chroma for two years and this keyboard feels better built and has the dedicated media keys which I am very much enjoying. The only flaw with the keyboard is the light under the keycaps does not light up the secondary characters . It isnt the biggest deal, but you may have to memorize which key is which if you use it in the dark.

The keyboard itself isnt bad, but in comparison to other keyboards in this price segment ex. HK Venus, Ducky Mecha Mini it lacks behind. Optical switches arent anything special since there are 60 compact boards running Gateron optical switches which can also be hot swapped. Plastic build is disappointing at this price.Overall a decent keyboard but should be cheaper and believe it or not, Razers switches arent special and do not constitute a price premium.

Unstable performance. Often ghosting keystroke. iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii until you hit another key or same key again. like its stuck but its digital. the lighting is nice. the pad is comfy Id rather have extra addressable keys then I would have the media controls on the upper right side as every software program has those controls built into the arrow keys or space bar etc.

This is hands down, the best keyboard I have ever used. The feel of it is premium, the response time is amazing, the media controls are incredibly useful, the wristwrest helps out so much for my long gaming sessions, and the clickresponse of the keyboard helps me personally type faster knowing that the input was taken, the RGB color customization is limitless, and the software to customize the keyboard even further makes this above keyboard the competition.Ive had the keyboard for almost 5 months now and will never go back to using a regular keyboard ever again. I plan to buy this same keyboard for my work pc and for my wifes personal of as well.If you are on the fence for this keyboard, BUY IT. Trust me, you wont regret it. I recently purchased the Huntsman keyboard roughly around a month ago, and so far its held up great I love how all they keycaps are out and easily accessible unlike previous Razer keyboards. The wrist pad is also a plus and I didnt realize Id like it as much as I do. And of course the Chroma lighting is a plus since youre able to integrate the lighting with online games as well as changing each single keycap to a different color. The volume buttons at the top right of the keyboard can also be useful but werent fully necessary.Overall Id say this is a good keyboard and would recommended when on sale for around 150 compared to the new Huntsmen which doesnt innovate on much.

Ive used some of the other Razer peripherals and performance wise, I do like the keyboards feedback. It interfaces well with the other peripherals and if you have Razer sets, you can start coordinating the visuals and make sure they are in synch.I do like the volume and the additional hotkeys made available as a way to conveniently access repeated functions. The only gripe that I have maybe this is nitpicking was the intermittent lighting on the armrest. I think this is due to the fact that the armrest is only secured to the keyboard via a magnet. As a result, I flipped the armrest and did away with the backlighting to avoid distractions.

I actually just returned this keyboard today. The keys are very impressive and responsive. I was concerned when looking at the display that the keyboard was to high. After 20 minutes of play I decided it was not comfortable. I tried it for another 2 hours and decided I had to return it for a different brand. My issue is the front he of keyboard sits to high off the desk for my comfort. The keyboard is very nice and a great gaming keyboard, but it worked best if you were sitting higher up and over the keyboard.

I have not had an issue with any of the switches or RGBs not functioning correctly, the keys feel just as crisp today as they did when I bought the keyboard 14 months ago.. That being said, the volume knob doesnt work at all, no matter what way I turn it all it does is moves the volume up 2 then down 2.. You can turn and spin it counter clockwise slowly or quickly and it doesnt do anything other than take the volume down 2 then up 2 effectively not changing your volume at all… Secondly, the cushion on the wrist rest is pretty bad… The material on the left side has started to tear and flatten extremely with normal use, paying the extra money, it seems terrible to have a RGB rest that falls apart

I have always had Logitech G series gear for my peripherals.Upon reading and watching reviews online, I decided to give Razer a try with their keyboards.Based off my impression from the Huntsman Elite, what I find is that they are solidly built keyboards that probably have one of the best RGB customization options out there. This keyboard features a hybrid switch, which is mechanical and optical. The response time on it is fantastic, although being a new switch I have yet to see how it will hold up over time.Typing on this feels amazing, which feels very similar to the traditional green switches. However, I feel that these hybrid switches are slightly less noisy than the traditional ones.Overall, this is a fantastic keyboard with one of the best wrist guards in the market, as well as typing experience

I bought this keyboard because my old one died it was really old. I make video games but never had a gaming keyboard. Because I do so much programming, I love this keyboard. Although I ragged on my brother for his purchase of this keyboard, it wasnt until I used it myself that I understood why people like this so much. This is bar none the best built keyboard Ive ever used. Every key press feels direct, but controlled. Also the ability to control the RGB is a feature I didnt think I would like as much as I do. To sum it up, its a keyboard that feels right and makes me wonder why I didnt have this at home sooner.

Arguably razers best keyboard. Everything works as it should and razers rgb software is top notch. My only complaint is the single LED under the space bar kinda messes up the look if you want to use different key caps. But thats just my own silly complaint that doesnt effect anything. I would reccomend this keyboard to anyone. You do pay a bit though considering its a razer product but it is worth it in my opinion.

I have now owned this keyboard for almost 5 months and am still very satisfied with my purchase. The keys feel great with a medium travel and have a nice tactile click. The build quality of the keyboard is fantastic and with its aluminium body you will see little to no flex making it a very durable product. Although I found the cables a bit thick and hard to route and hide they are very high quality and will certainly never fray. The rgb on this is fantastic, very bright during the night and the underglow will look great at any desk. I appreciate the wrist rest included, it adds a nice elegance to the keyboard and also has a connector which extends the underglow of the keyboard, but I have found the the great feeling and soft wrist rest is sadly brought down by the aluminium frame that will bite into your lower wristarm. This keyboard has been great for me and if you are willing to pay the premium I would recommend this keyboard however if you are in a tight budget and have other areas where you might need an upgrade like your pc or a headset I would recommend getting a cheaper keyboard or going with a Logitech or corsair keyboard which are generally cheaper and still just as high quality.

Ive been getting by with a cheap noname mechanical keyboard for roughly 6 years, as I didnt see the attraction to upgrading. Why fix what isnt brokenSometimes you dont realize what youve been dealing with until youre shown a better way. The Huntsman Elite is a prime example. It is as fun to use as it is to look at. Its features are ones that I hope are pushed into mainstream peripheral design, as they offer significant benefits to casual and professional users. You will need two free USB ports to plug this item into.I cannot overstate how much faster this keyboard is over my old one. Its optomechanical switches are efficient and feels lighter to press down comparative to other mechanical keyboards. The slightest tap will register a keystroke, even on the corner of a key. In my experience, this meant an adjustment period of about a day while I relearned not to doubletap on instinct when I hit the edge or corner. Its quite efficient. Also, yes, it makes an audible click with each keystroke. Its mechanical, thats kind of what they do.Its wrist rest is soft, yet supportive, and the underglowsideglow lighting is a beautiful addition. The lighting for both the keyboard and wrist rest, as well as the Synapse software used to customize it, is well designed and intuitive. I love the convenience of having different patterns stored in its onboard memory. It makes going from one games aesthetics to the next a breezy transition.Im incredibly satisfied with this peripheral, and am now looking into a Razer mat and mouse that apparently can be synced to the same type of light patterns as the keyboardwrist rest. This is a slippery slope, but at least the view and ride are smooth and spectacular.

This is the elite version with red linear optical switches. The Huntsman Elite is actually the cheap version but it comes with a number pad, wrist wrest, and ABS keycaps instead of PBT. Doesnt make any sense why all the nice upgrades are on the huntsman mini. The mini has sound dampening and better build quality as well as PBT key caps. For the price the mini is a way better deal. The only reason why I am keeping it instead of the mini is because I need a number pad for work and the wrist pad is pretty comfortable. If you compare the two models, the mini is quieter, has more resistance, and a much better typing experience.

I absolutely love this Keyboard The lighting features make gaming, or even just using this in a dimdark room fun and entertaining. The wrist rest is padded enough to help with the writs while playing on the keyboard. It is awesome that it connects with a magnet. I like the dial features on this which help with brightness and volume of the computer. The keyboard itself is very responsive and has the perfect click sound when you press each key. I wish it only needed to use one USB instead of two, but that is not a deal breaker. With the keyboard being heavy and solid, it is a good quality piece of equipment. I feel this can be a good office keyboard and a gamer one with the professional look it has. Overall this is great

Its very quiet maybe a bit to quiet but if that doesnt bother you than this should be the perfect keyboard for you. The buttons are very responsive. One problem thats I have is the rgb lights up almost the whole key cap instead of just the letters. Thats the only thing that bothered me besides that its pretty good.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who plays video games and wanted to match her Razer Naga Chroma mouse. The response on the keys is very fast, and she likes that she can customize how the keys light up.As others have said, its definitely very clicky and we can hear her typing on it all the way from a different floor, so this would definitely not be good in a setting where you have to share space with others.I tried it out as a regular keyboard and found the keys too close together and cramped for me to be able to type comfortably or accurately. I have small hands, so I dont see this working well for someone with big handsfingers.I dont have any insight into how this works in a gaming situation or any of the technical aspects, and many others have already covered this nicely and in detail.Setup was super easy and we appreciate that they included an instruction manual which we were able to easily follow. The many customization options are impressive, and the attached matching lightup wrist wrest is also really nicelooking.I would give it 5 stars based solely on looks. Taking off 1 star for price, the VERY loud sound it makes, and for the cramped spacing of the keys. Maybe after this has been out for a while the price will come down to a more reasonable level.

Im a software developer and spend most of my day coding. After purchasing this keyboard for work and CS GO, I dont see myself using another membranebased keyboard ever again. The response is incredibly quick with each keypress. For a mechanical keyboard, its not that loud. This is by far the best keyboard Ive ever used. Amazing keyboard Tons and tons of customization RGB wise and it can get very bright but you can always adjust the strength of the lights. One of my favorite parts of this is the turn dial. It lets me mute my pc on the fly when needed or I can customize it to do something different.

This is a very nice keyboard and I love the clicking sounds it makes and how fast they key goes back up when I let go of it. The RGB lighting is a nice touch however the rgb lighting did not want to power on at first because my pc needed to install the driver software first. Then I needed to register it and add it to the Synapse software and then it finally started to light up. The Synapse software is a bit glitchy though and every time it starts up after powering up my pc, the software needs some sort of update that disables my control of the RGB lights. It takes at least 10 minutes for my pc to start working with the Synapse 3 software after the updates are done. However because of the cool RGB lighting and razer design of the keyboard, I am now getting into the RGB Life. I started with a keyboard and mouse and now I also have the Chroma Base stand V2 for my Sennheiser Headphones that I use to record music with and finalize, I also bought the kiyo Webcam after watching several pros and cons youtube videos, I also have the Chroma Mouse pad V2 version added to my Razer Collection. Next in line will be the Raptor 27Overall I am very happy with my purchase though I feel the Synapse 3 software needs work.

The lighting and build are very nice. The keys are not my favorite type, but very responsive. I prefer the less noisey ones. The media keys in the upper left of the keyboard are always a nice to have. I dont really game much, so the macro keys are not used on this device. I have a Razer Orbweaver that I use for macros and such. The new Synapse 3 does not offer the same amount of customizations as the Synapse 2. But, I understand that its still work in progress. I have to run both versions of the Synapse app, since I have the Orbweaver chroma and the new Synapse 3 will not recognize it. The lighting and the indicators for capslock, numlock scroll lock, gaming and macros, are much brighter, but is only a solid white color, which makes sense for me. The wrist rest is a nice solid piece, which has the lighting incorporated into it. So, it provides a complete lighting look. Versus having a wrist rest without it. The rest looks good, but is barely useful, since it is made of fake leather with the logo embossed on it. The support or foam feels very little to none, after about a minute or less. So, it looks good I keep it on, just to keep the look complete. When I type, I just keep the wrists off of it. The cable is the standard Razer braided cloth mesh and its a pretty sturdy cord. The two USB connectors are labeled, but hard to see in the dark. You need both to power and light the keyboard and rest. I have gotten used to this keyboard, it has replaced my Black Widow Chroma V2 with yellow switches.

This is my first mechanical or gaming keyboard. Ive been using my laptop keyboard or, when I use my desk top set up, I use a regular keyboard. This keyboard has made gaming and typing in general more enjoyable than ever before. It looks incredibly sleek on its own, but when you add the wrist rest and the RGB lights it looks phenomenal. I really love the Chroma lighting on the keys, and especially how it goes all the way around the keyboard as well as the wrist rest when you have that attached. I have an entertainment area set up with my Philips Hue light bulbs and the Huntsman Elite works perfectly with the Hue bulbs for totally immersive gaming, and when Im not gaming, just chilling, it makes my room look really cool.Installing the Synapse software and setting up the keyboard was super easy. With the Synapse software you can completely customize your keyboard reprogram keys, customize your lighting and lighting zones. The dedicated digital dial and media keys are a fantastic addition, I wish all keyboards had these. I especially love how the dial sticks out over the side just a bit, its easy to find by touch instead of having to look away from your screen to find it when you want to adjust the volume. The keyboard itself is outstanding the keys are delightfully clicky and only a very light key press is needed. The clicking is a little loud but I dont mind it, I find the sound to be soothing. The keys are extremely fast and responsive, typing is flawless whether gaming or using for everyday internet browsing, school, or work. I havent noticed any input lag at all. There are feet on the keyboard bottom that allow you to adjust the height you have 2 height options to choose from with the feet. Its got a little wright to it, and there are rubber bumpers on the bottom to keep it from easily sliding around on your desk. The USB cables are thick and braided, which seems to add to the durability as well as making them look nice. There are 2 USB cables 1 for the keyboard and 1 for the wrist rest, so that means using 2 of your computers USB ports, unless you choose not to use the wrist rest, or to use the wrist rest without plugging it in.Theres no USB port on the keyboard itself, but thats not a dealbreaker for me, I have a USB hub that Id use instead anyway. The wrist rest is plush and comfortable, and it looks great with the Chroma lighting running around it. Its magnetic so connecting it and removing it is quick and easy. Its genuinely hard to find anything that I DONT like about this keyboard, but if I have to find something to pick on its that the keys are so easily smudged with oils from my fingers. Im a bit obsessive about fingerprints and smudges on my electronics so I find myself wiping the keys off with a sanitizing wipe once a day at least. I might be the only person that notices this kind of thing though Its not a huge deal and certainly doesnt change my opinion of how NICE this keyboard is. Its honestly a well thought out, extremely well made keyboard. Im tremendously proud to own it and to show it off to all of my friends.

I got tired of using cheap membrane keyboards so I decided to go all out and buy the high end mechanical. Love this board as it is very responsive, feels great to type on and feels very premium. Although just note the keys are pretty loud so it might be annoying to others, but I personally like the sound. I really like the included wrist rest as it is very comfortable to type on. The RGB can be controlled with razer synapse and it looks stunning. I dont usually write reviews but after using this keyboard for almost a week and finishing playing wofenstein 2 with it , I am compelled to do so.I am 44 years old but have been a gamer ever since I was very young. I took my old PC apart that I built in 2012 . The last keyboard I used with it was the logitceh g910 and although nice for a mechanical keyboard. It never quite gave me the clickiness I yearned for. I went in to Best buy and purchased an Alienware desktop and wanted a new keyboard. Initially I decided on the Razer Black widow but then I saw the huntsman elite. The keys felt clickier and the keystrokes crisper . The hunstman also uses razers opto mechanical switches where the keys break a lazer in middle of pushing them and the result is a much quicker response . So you get the best of both worlds . The fast response with nice crisp feel of the mechanical keyboard . Also the wrist rest is very soft and the most luxurious wrist rest you will ever feel. The multimedia keys with a volume knob are a very nice bonus. The lighting affects are awesome and carry through the sides if the rest rest as it attaches to the keyboard with pogo pins effortlessly . Razer also has other plans to make more accessories for the keyboard to attach through the pins .I initially was hesitant to spend 200 in a keyboard. It just sounds crazy but now am glad that I did. This one is well worth it and I can see my self using it for years to come. So I say if you can afford it then go for it . You wont regret it either.

I got this to replace a Unicomp Model M, which surprisingly died after only a few years of use. I was going to order another Model M, but fate intervened, because Unicomp was out of stock.PROS1. The optomechanical keys have a nice feel good clicky sound, not nearly as heavy to use or fatiguing compared to MX Blues. This is also the only keyboard with optomechanicals outside of the Bloody keyboards.2. Media keys are very useful, especially the instant mute switch and the volume jog dial.3. Lack of USB passthrough is not a problem for me, since I just use the USB passthrough on my monitors.4. Razer Chroma is definitely the most customizable and powerful RGB software out there better than Logitech and Corsair, though the learning curve is steeper.5. There is uber1337 RGB lighting everywhere even on the wrist rest which, by the way, was very comfortable. The only rest Ive used thats more comfortable is the one included with the Logitech G513.6. The caps locknum lockscroll lock indicators are moved underneath DELENDPGDOWN, which is a much better use of space given the compact, floatingkey style layout of the Huntsman, which is very trendy now.7. The stabilizer bars make each switch extremely sturdy with little to no wobble, especially compared to the original Cherry MX switches.CONS1. The secondary keys are still not lit e.g., the on the number row. Though on the numpad, the secondaries are lit. This is a consequence of the highLED construction of the optomechanical switch. Im still waiting for a manufacturer to incorporate a lightpipe solution to ensure even lighting.2. The keycaps are ABS, and are nonstandard size on the bottom row. Itll be quite a chore to try and replace these with PBTs.3. The IBM buckling spring is still the best feeling switch in my opinion nothing can ever match it.4. Price is very high for the same money you could get a top of the line Ducky, Vortex, GMMK, Massdrop et. al that has PBTs.5. Only offered with a clicky switch. If you want a tactile or linear switch you have to wait for Razer to make those variants available, or go with a Bloody.Overall, this is still a great keyboard. If the price dropped to 150, it would be 5stars, no doubt.THIS REVIEW PROUDLY TYPED ON A HUNTSMAN ELITE

I recently purchased this keyboard to replace my blackwidow tournament edition. Its worked great so far, the keys are responsive and satisfying to click. Its not too loud yet every key press is noticeable. The chroma lighting works great just as it does with every other Razer product. Id highly recommend it.

Ive used Razer for years, sometimes lowering their stuff, sometimes not. This keyboard feels very solid, well constructed, and smooth to use. The design makes it easy to clean. I dont notice a difference with the optical switches, but maybe a more professional player can. However, I havent had any failed keystrokes, and it feels great to use.Only note is to be aware, it has 2 USBs, neither are a pass through, they are both necessary for full functionality, so make sure you have enough unused ports before purchasing.

An amazing keyboard when it works. I am on my 2nd keyboard now after less than a year, and it is possible that this may need to get replaced at some point. That being said, they keys feel amazing they are so responsive and everything about typing or gaming using it is very nice. The keyboard is a full keyboard including the numberpad which is great if you do anything outside of gaming additionally, it has some very handy multimedia keys. It looks very understated, and with the RGB off its even professional looking. Also, the elite version comes with the RGB wristrest, which is one of the most comfortable Ive ever used. Overall, I would say its worth the trouble especially with how great Best Buy is with return policy

This keyboard adds a super awesome look to your PC. I was replacing a non mechanical gaming keyboard that I have had for 8 years now and I expect this one to last even longer so considering the time it is worth every penny. After going mechanical you wont ever want to go back its an awesome keyboard layout with awesome look. This is a high quality product all around and you can tell by just typing on it. The software is a little too much for me I simply set up a couple lighting presets and havent really used it since. Even if you just use one lighting effect it is still an awesome keyboard. Totally recommended.

If youre willing to shell out the cash for a high end gaming keyboard, then this one is WELL worth it. The amount of customization is absolutely INSANE The RGB is stunning, and the possibilities are endlessWith the RAZER synapse software, you can remap every single button to WHATEVER input you want Each key has its own individually programmable LED light. You can even save different RGB and key configurations to separate profiles, and have those profiles automatically pull up when you load a certain game. The physical construction is sturdy, the keys have a nice satisfying click youd expect from a mechanical keyboard. The only complaint I have is that the foam in the wrist mat starts to compress very fast, and leaves it warped as you can see in the photos. But this is still easily the best keyboard Ive ever had

My old keyboard wasnt as responsive as Id like, so I was in need of an upgrade. The Huntsman Elite is the perfect keyboard for me. The action is perfect and the keys are VERY responsive, which is perfect for gaming. However, be aware that these are very loud. Im happy with that tradeoff given the functionality. The keyboard is also very attractive, and the LEDs are a nice touch. The wrist rest is a first for me, as Im used to having keyboards without them, but now I dont know how I lived without it Lastly, the media keys are a nice touch, as I have difficulty with shortcutscommands. Another feature I now cant live without. Overall, I highly recommend this keyboard for any serious gamers

This is my second Razr keybooard and I absolutely love it. I love the tactile click when typing. The multifunctional wheel is also super useful. I use it to zoom in and out on my timeline when editing videos. I also like the the RGB wrist rest. Not only is it comfortable but it looks cool as well. It is an expensive keyboard but I think it is a great value for what you get. I use it primarily for video editing with some light gaming as well. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best keybords I have ever used. I use this on xbox one but there is something to note about it. If you are using this on xbox, playstation, or anything that doesnt or cant install razer keybord program. You can not change the light patterns and the color. If you dont care about that then I would get it. I didnt care about it and its the best keybord I have used.

Are you a fan of linear switches This keyboard is for you These linear switches are the smoothest I have ever typed on. Theyre a bit on the lighter side, but you get used to them the more you use them. They feel more high quality than Cherrys switches, which are good but feel a bit cheap since they can keep like youre rubbing plastic together. The materials are excellent and the wrist rest is super soft and comfy. If youre an RGB freak like me, then this keyboard has you covered In my opinion, the RGB is done very tastefully. The lighting is serves more as an accent rather than inyourface effect. Only the letters glow, rather than the entire switch which means you dont get much of an underglow effect like on Corsairs keyboards. The volume wheel feels really good if youre like me and prefer a more tactile and defined scroll step over a completely smooth and linear smooth. The price is a bit steep but worth it if you want the best linear typing experience. It really complements the Tatarus Pro keypad since theyre almost exactly the same switches.

Very similar to the razer black widow ultimate except the huntsman ultimate switches sound a little better if you like the green clicky switch and are supposed to be faster than green switches due to Razers new purple optical switches…. theres slightly less actuation force required to activate the keys compared to green switches but I mean for the price…meh. The wrist rest on the huntsman is annoying in my opinion. It has the cool chroma colors which is great but its too high up compared to the black widow ultimate which has a sloping wrist rest that is much more ergonomic. I wound up getting a deal on the black widow ultimate that was far cheaper for virtually the same keyboard so Id have to say, if youre really into the purple optical switches go for it but 160199 for this keyboard is too much in my opinion.

Best keyboard Ive ever owned. Best one Ive ever used for that matter of fact when it comes to keeps probably working as a mechanical keyboard no ghosting proper hold down the usage amazing lighting effects. still trying to figure out the profiles for lighting but its not super important to me. I made my nice little custom one for me that I really enjoy that reacts when I hit any key so Im very happy with that. Couldnt ask for a better keyboard and wrist rest that comes with it. The wrist rests lights up and it all looks pleasing. would highly recommend if you want to spend the money for it.

This keyboard is excellent. It remains comfortable after hours of gaming. The mechanical feel is incredible. Overall, the build feels high quality. Which is expected from this keyboard. The only complaint is that some of the special characters are not backlit. I purchased the Razer Doubleshot Keycap set to remedy this. These new keycaps have a much more premium feel and they should be the ones already installed on this keyboard to begin with since youre already paying 200 for this. This is the only reason why I took one star off. Overall, extremely happy with this new keyboard and definitely recommend it

I have bought a lot of mechanical keyboards over the last 10 years. Cherry MX Green, Blue, Red and speed. Up until 5 year ago I was convinced that MX Red were my favorite then the Speed, BUT these Razer Optical Linear Red switches are great I owned 4 K95 keyboards and had to keep returning them from bad workmanship. So I gave this a shot and love it.I have to say that this finally does it all correctly. Its very fast, its very customizable, and I am typing work faster than I ever have. Gaming is great in it too… I can execute commands instantly in any game and very rarely mistype or fat finger it.There is room to improve. Razer needs to let you save your lighting profiles to the keyboard. You cannot do this, even in 2020. The keycaps are not double shot and the secondary functions on keys do not light up because they are the bottom of the keys and the switches light at the top. They need to fix this as well.BUT for 29 bucks you can get Razer Doubleshot PBT Keycap Upgrade Set for Mechanical Optical Keyboards Compatible with Standard 104105 US and UK layouts in Black, Pink, Green, or White.

This is a great keyboard both for feel and lighting. Very nice touch and sound. Very smooth in both gaming and general typing. The gotcha is that the special character keys , etc are NOT lighted. See picture. In a darker room, you cannot see them. This may or may not be a factor for you. You can order an alternate set of key caps from Razer for 29.99 that allow you swap those keys so all characters are illuminated. All in all, its still a very nice keyboard.

The Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard is a good option for gamers. The keys are very responsive and you get that satisfying click. The RGB is nice and using Razers software can be adjusted to your liking. If I have a dislike, and it is minor, it would be the padding on the palm rest. If the bottom of your palm rests near the edge of the palm rest, the padding gets noticeably thinner. So if you have larger hands, like mine, you may notice this at times. Like I said this is a very minor complaint, but it is something that is noticeable to me when using the keyboard with the palm rest.As the palm rest, it connects and disconnects to the keyboard easily and quickly. So if you need the added space in front of your keyboard, say to place a mic there, you can quickly detach the palm rest and lay it to the side.I will add I picked this keyboard up on sale for 159.99. To me this is a fair price for it when looking at the competition.Overall I would recommend this keyboard.

Ive had this board for about a month, and all I can say is Im pretty pleased with the purchase. Theirs only 2 cons that I can think of that is subjective and to most people probably wont matter. At the max hieght the board will disconnect from the wrist pad due to the angle, which is jnderstandable due to the fact that the board is now in a more ergonamoic position for your wrists and the pad is rendered useless to some degree. What bugs me is that when it disconnects it either turns the lights on the wrist pad off or turns it orange, different from the rest of the keyboard. Again not a big deal. The other con that I can find is the program that lets you customize the keyboard. Im not too tech savvy but for a big inner the program is pretty hard to use and Ive still not wrapped my head around it. Although if youve had experience with these kinds of boards it might not be a big deal. Overall the board itself is nice with its lighting effects and I would highly recommend.

For my first mechanical keyboard, I decided to dive in with Razers Huntsman Elite, and Im very satisfied with it. The keys have a very satisfying tactile and audible click, though if a noisy keyboard may be an issue for family or roommates, you may want to look at another option with quieter keys. The keyboard itself is fairly compact so its a good option for those like myself with limited desk space. The keyboard plugs up with two USB leads, although only one is required for basic keyboard functionality. The second lead seems to supply power to extend the Chroma lighting to the wrist rest, which attaches magnetically. The lighting is highly customizable through software so you can get it looking as flashy or as sleek as you please. Theres builtin lighting profiles for some games, while other usermade profiles can be downloaded. The software seems to have some reliability issues, although these problems only really effect the lighting profiles as far as I can tell and other users may not have any reliability problems with Razers software. As a newbie to mechanical keyboards, I wouldnt be able to tell you how good the switches are or if the additional optical sensor makes a difference, but I can tell you that Ive found it a joy to use.

Perhaps usable for only gaming, but if you use for general computer use and use the shift function to access alternate symbols, at night those alternate symbols and letters ARE NOT LITmeaning on this plank, you also have to have a light on to see what you are typing. That is such a stupid design, it makes me wonder if anybody asked regular people about the design before they decided this board could be used ONLY for gaming. Also, I have found the keystrokes are not as easy to use in some of my games that allow glitch key strokesthey are VERY hard to manage. My old Corsair keyboard presented me no such problems as this Razer wonder.

First, this keyboard is amazing to type and game on, minus the annoying click of these switches, and only these switches. Now dont get me wrong, I like Cherry Blues but these just sound like garbage. The spacebar is super springy and really hollow sounding. But your experience may vary. It is really nice to game on. The low actuation distance is really nice, but the force can be a bit tiring after a while. As for typing, the feedback is wonderful as any clicky switch is. The travel is nice and you have a nice cushion if you like to bottom out your switches. The RGB is a little on the dim side, but super customizable. The media control is a HUGE bonus. I wish there was a USB passthrough along with a detachable cable and routing options. I wouldnt pay full price as the switches sound cheap, but on sale, for 130 its not a bad deal compared to competitors.

I love the huntsman. The feel and response time is amazing. I would not recommend for streamers because this puppy is LOUD. But I enjoy the tactile clicky sound. You can barely press the key maybe 13 of the way and its posting to your monitor. Which hasnt been an issue as far as accidently hitting other keys and I have XL hands. The palm pad is evolutionary, I cant even explain how awesome and comfortable the palm pad is. I have owned the huntsman for atleast a year but you would think I bought it yesterday. The build quality is excellent. Now I do regularly clean with alchol and anti static brushes but the huntsman is a tank. One heck of a keyboard. I could do without the 250 price, however I do believe this keyboard is going to last a very long time. So in my opinion very much worth the price. I also think Razer has came out with a wireless version. Im excited to here anyones thoughts on this keyboard.

Im not sure what kind of hands you need to use this keyboard but mine arent the right kind. The wrist rest would be nice if it didnt have a somewhat sharp and cold metal frame around it that your wrist digs into. The keys are also quite a stretch to reach for smaller hands. I really wanted to like it but I played a few games of halo to test it and it just felt awkward coming from a corsair k70. You may like it but personally it didnt work for me. The keys do sound nice and are pretty quiet if youre just using WASD. But they feel a little too soft. I had the linear silent switches.

Ive used the full size keyboard most of my life. Ive been in the computers for over 30 years. This is my first 60 keyboard. The first thing youll notice is how quiet it is. Its everything you can expect from this brand. The caveat if there has to be one is the arrow keys are now function keys. Other than that, its amazing. The second version of the Cherry switches are beautiful.

    Kairos

The price tag was rather difficult to stomach, but after over a month of use, I feel that its well worth it. The switches are fairly light, clicky quite loud, actually, and feel very responsive I cant say if their optomechanical switches are faster than something like a Cherry MX speed switch, but typing and gaming on this keyboard are always satisfying. The wrist rest makes typing and gaming feel very comfortable, although if you wear a wristwatch of any kind the leatherette padding can push the band into your skin. The lighting is fabulous, as can be expected from Razer, and the overall design is very nuanced and elegant. My only gripe is with the media control buttons in Windows 10 Home, the preset keybindings dont do anything though Ive only tried to use them in Spotify and the Windows default video playback software even if I could use them, the shallow keypress is pretty disappointing and doesnt live up to the delightful tactile feel of the rest of the keyboard. The media wheel isnt as offensive, mainly because it does its job, but neither it nor the mute button on top feels good to use.

Wow This keyboard is amazing. Purple switches are clickly and feel very good when typing. Their not that loud and it doesnt bother me, it just feels sooooo good when typing. The palm rest also feels comfortable and great, I love it. I dont know why I waited over a year to get it. I guess I thought it would drop in price but using the keyboard, its worth the price. Im very happy I purchased it. I also, have a cherry red switch keyboard and you can feel the difference instantly from cherry to purple. Purple is the clear winner

Ive hesitated on getting this since Ive been using the blackwidow chroma. However it was the best decision ever since the black widow got a bit buggy with one of the key buttons. Decided to fork out a bit more and was not disappointed The mechanical clicks on pressing this keyboard is unparalleled Such a sense of satisfaction from hearing it and feeling it go as you type. A multimedia dial is also available for you to quickly turn up or down your computer volume. Only gripe I have is that the secondary USB Port connected could be used as a pass through, would be such a great and functional addition.

This is one of the best keyboards I have ever had. It is very smooth to use and very well built. The switches are just too loud which is fine for home use but I would never bring this to an office. The wrist pad is the best on the market, very comfortable and cushiony. The one thing I dislike about this keyboard is that the secondary symbols dont light up, my profession requires me to use symbols constantly and working in the dark with this keyboard is just a nightmare unless you have the symbol locations memorized. There is a 30 solution to this issue which is buying Razer PBT keycaps but that is just an extra unnecessary charge.

This keyboard is the best Ive ever had, and its super customizable thru the chroma app. My only complaint is that the wrist wrest pad cushion deflates pretty fast. As a gamer, the bottom left where I rest my WASD arm is already sagging after about a month of moderate use.But besides that I dont have a single complaint or valid criticism. Solid keyboard, highly recommended for gaming and typing ergonomics as well.

This keyboard has been great so far, the laser triggers in the keys are very responsive and fast. Do far only complaint is with the software Wich gives you several different app choices for controlling you rgb lighting. They need to streamline this so one app in Razer synapse controls everything. Also when you set the lighting to wave the lights dont transition across keys smoothly instead they blink across different zones on the keys. It is a little jarring from what I am used to from other keyboards.

Ive had the keyboard for about a month now and I really enjoy it. The lighting effects are amazing and work well with other Razer products. The keys feel great and are very clicky. There are two drawbacks I can think of. One if you dont like the clicky sounding keyboard or if it will drive others insane, dont buy this. To be honest, I never really cared much about the keyboards I had or used. I used what I was given to use, some being better than others, but none exceptional good or bad. My son suggested I try this keyboard, so I bought it thinking i probably wouldnt be able to tell any difference. Right away the feel, sound, and response were hugely evident. I was wrong. Wrist pad is super comfy, the LEDs complement my system very nicely. I really like the feel of the keys, They are soft and silky when normal typing. I cant tell if its improved my gameplay Im not good, LOL but the keyboard says put due to its weight. The Razer suite gives a ton of customization of LEDs so you can set it up however you like. Is it worth 200 Maybe, maybe not. The pricing is competitive for this type of keyboard so if this is what your looking for I think youll be happy with the purchase. I have no regrets and would purchase this again without hesitation. Really like the feel of the keys and its not that clicky.

I love this so much Its really cute and small and fits perfectly on my tiny keyboard space. It takes a minute to adjust to typing but you catch on quickly. I have small hands but they keys are set to where I dont think people with thicker fingers will have any trouble hitting keys they didnt mean too. The colors are customizable like most razer products. Also this is the keyboard that doesnt make the clicky noises when you type. If you want the quieter keyboard buy this one instead of the other one. I double checked when I was buying to make sure I got this quiet one.

I was very excited for this keyboard when it was originally announced. The look is what really caught me, and once I got the opportunity to test it at Micro Center I knew I had to have it. The sound and feel of the keys is perfect and clicky. Its a satisfying keyboard to type on, doesnt require too much actuation force to click, and has an ultrafast response for competitive gaming. The lighting is fantastic The ring around the keyboard is beautiful, and the floating key cap design looks amazing with the lighting shinning down under the key caps. The media controls are nice, and the dial is great to have with the mute button. The build is much more premium than previous Razer keyboards. The wrist rest is much sturdier and more supportive than other offerings. Its extremely comfortable and definitely the best available versus the competition. The keyboard has a metal faceplate which feels premium and holds the keyboard sturdy. The braided cable looks great and trains well once you have it in place. The feet hold the keyboard in place nicely as well. The only thing that may turn you away from this keyboard versus the competition are your preference in switches, and additional features that this keyboard lacks like a USB pass through and audio pass through. Regardless I highly recommend this keyboard and adore it.

A great keyboard, the wrist rest is awesome and I love the clicky switches. I play VSRGs and expected to use up to the advertised switch keystroke lifespan of 100 million keystrokes, however, Ive only reached 52 million total keys pressed and one of the switches has just fallen off the keyboard. Considering the abuse I put it through playing rhythm games, Im happy its survived over 2 years. Im confident this keyboard would survive to its 100 million keystroke lifespan if you used it for playing different types of games, or for just everyday use.

The keyboard is amazing The keys are extremely sensitive but still have that exquisite mechanical click. The lighting options and capability are quite good as well. The one downside is that the Huntsman Elite requires Razer Synapse 3 which is NOT backwards compatible with older devices Razer Naga Elite Chroma or Orbweaver Chroma both of which I have and so requires the user to have Razer Synapse 2 AND 3 installed simultaneously in order to manage keybind profiles for the devices. All things considered, when my Black Widow had keys start to die after a long and storied tenure as my main keyboard, Im glad I went with the Huntsman Elite.

Very cool mechanical keyboard with LED lighting and effects. It has Razers optomechanical purple switches which have a very nice click. Its very much like the green or blue switches. Because of the click, it can sound very loud in a small room, but the tactile feel is very satisfying and reminiscent of the old keyboards. One thing Razer needs to change is the secondary symbols on the keys dont light up so people with limited typing skills and memory will have trouble identifying certain keys. Another thing they could do is let us program the effects. There are a few effects which are really gimmicky, with a couple being okay, but the limited choices are not something I would normally use. I just keep it on static so my keyboard is always lit in the dark. The wrist cushion is also very comfortable and soft, but I hope it lasts. My keyboard did have one key that isnt uniform and doesnt light up white. Its a defective LED, and even though the build quality is nice, that goes to show you the quality control of the brand. Other than that, I like the keyboard because I find it has the most satisfying click of all the other keyboards Ive played around with.

I went though a lot of mechanical keyboards to see what would best fit me and this has to be by far one of the best 60 keyboards Ive tried. This is my favorite keyboard of all time. I also boughtRazer Basilisk Ultimate Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse with HyperSpeed Technology and Charging Dock Black and love the combo. I bought for the mechanical keyboard feature and was not disappointed. Disclaimer, I didnt care about any other feature on this. I leaned towards this one because of the audio buttons and it was corded. It also has a wrist rest. However, all those features actually made this my favorite keyboard Ive owned.Pros The lighting schemes are cool. I mean, to some it might be a gimmick but it feels fancy. The audio knob does the job. I do wish the knob was taller or bigger. Its slightly raised off the level surface of the keyboard but Im not going to add to cons. It has enough texture that it still works for gripping. Plus simply pressing the audio knob mutes the computer which is handy. No more remembering which button is separate for mute. I havent looked at the other buttons next to it so cannot speak to it. The wrist pad is SOFT. I thought it was just another cheap rest but its worth the money for just this thing. And if it doesnt work out for you, its magnetized so you can simply and easily pull it off the keyboard. No clips or risk of breaking it. The reason I bought it with the clicky clack is just for that. All the keys feel nice and the clacky clack makes it sound like Im doing something important. No random keys that confuse during gameplay. I had a logitech with programmable keys on the far left in a column. I always pressed them by accident. I dont have to worry about that anymore.Cons I seriously wish I had one. For the sake of something, maybe would have been nice with 2 windows buttons instead of just one Like Im digging deep in the barrel for that one. Oh I guess, I wish the volume button was more pronounced. I decided to add it to cons to give it substance. Its worth the buy but might seem pricey for some clicky clack and shiny lights. However, its not all smoke and mirrors with this. Theyve engineered something great. I would buy again to replace it.

Ive generally been a fan of Razer products, but this thing shocked me almost every time I would sit down to use it. I mean that literally. I would get a shock when touching the wrist rest, like a spark of static electricity. The lights would go out on the keyboard for a second then come back on. I found numerous discussions about this issue online, so I returned it. The style and finish of the keyboard is excellent otherwise, but I wont be taking a chance on another board like this with the lighted wrist rest.

This keyboard is so nice and clicky. It has Razers very own optomechanical switches that feel and sound nice. The multimedia buttons are convenient for Spotify and other programs that work with these buttons, while they are in the background. I now cant live without the wrist rest that comes with this keyboard. It stays on the keyboard with magnets and a plugin that turns it on for RGB lighting, which is very nice. Not to mention the fact that it is so plush and smooth and stays cool very easily so it doesnt get uncomfortable after half an hour of use. It uses Doubleshot keycaps are believe it or not, not as expensive as you would think with Razer. And to top it off, the build on both the keyboard and wrist rest is great with the top of the keyboard and wrist rest being aluminum, moving down to the RGB lighting on the side, then finally reaching the bottom which is made of plastic which isnt so bad because 99 of the time you dont see it. And dont get me wrong, this keyboard is pricey and if you are on a budget and just need a keyboard that will for your needs, there are some other great keyboards put there for a better price, but, as my summary states, its one of the best premium gaming keyboards for sure.

The Razer Huntsman Elite is a great keyboard for gaming. The RGB lighting this keyboard features is beautiful with a 4side underglow RGB and 38 customization zones with 11 preinstalled lighting effects with the use of Razer Synapse 3. Also features effects for audio, both game and voice. The OptoMechanical switches are light yet clicky but can be super sensitive if not careful. They have a very satisfying audible feedback to them and are very responsive The keyboard features a volume knob in the top right corner that is perfect for adjusting the volume all while staying active in game. The knob can also be completely customized to the users preferences. The customization for this keyboard is virtually endless with both lighting and macros for personal play style. The Huntsman Elite includes a super comfortable magnetic plush leatherette that also features underglow lighting with 20 customization zones.Pros include a very sturdy build with Aluminum top housing. Keyboard has 2 step variable adjustment height which is very nice to have.Endless customization.Razer Synapse 3 automatically prompts to install when first plugged into the computer.Cons are the cable is on the stiffer side. Wish it was a little more flexible.Lacks a usb pass through.Media keys dont have transparent caps for lighting to pass through. The overall functionality and the aesthetics of this keyboard are top notch if youre looking for a showpiece for your PC setup this keyboard is perfect

This is the fifth Razer keyboard I have owned. Razer Black Widow Ultimate x2 blue lighting, Ultimate 2013 Green lighting, Ultimate Chroma, and now the Hunstman Elite. The addition of the independent media controls brings a nice touch to the lack thereof and much needed presence on all previous Razers I have used. The one thing these all share is they are noisy. Dont expect to use this in a quiet home at night while a significant other is sleeping. It is significantly louder than my previous Razers. The touch feel is great and the keyboard is quite accurate and responsive. Whether you are typing a letter or gaming, you will not be disappointed by the typing feel. The Huntsman has a very premium look and feel to it, and the removable soft wrist pad is very nice addition. Lighting for all of which is supported in the Synapse 3.0 product and coordinates with my inroom lighting and other Razer products I use. If you dont mind the tactile touch of a mechanical switch, a seriously definitive click on press, and some noise, this is a keyboard you will enjoy.

this is an awesome keyboard.. razer always does a great job and their new optomech keys are nice albeit not a hugely noticeable difference in speed. it has a clicky tactile feel like their green switches too.. the chroma lighting looks great and while the under glow is sort of overkill, its actually pretty pleasant and fun to customize. the underglow does get lost in some of the games that feature chroma lighting only half lights up, but i suppose that will be fixed in time. while the wrist rest is comfortable and the accompanying chroma lighting is a good finish, the secondary usb cable to power it seems a bit redundant considering theres no usb passthrough, but that is a very minor complaint. i really enjoyed gaming on this, but typing did feel a little clumsy for me personally. i would recommend it if you got the cash to spend and its probably worth it over the regular huntsman just for the media controls alone plus you get the underglow, wrist rest, and crazy new optomechanical keys that wont blow youre mind, but will still feel good. if youre within the price range already, just buy it and try it out… or wait for it to go on sale…

The keyboard is so quiet and feels really nice to type with due to the linear optical switches. If you used to have a regularsized keyboard, it might take some time to get used to but it is worth it. The function key is really easy to use as well in order to make up for the missing keys as you just hold the function key and click the key that has the symbolfunction underneath it. Kind of expensive for the price though so try to get it on sale.

I do not know if this is standard for RGB andor Razer keyboards, but this requires 2 open USB ports 1 for the keyboard itself and 1 to power the RGB. Not a deal breaker by any means, just something to be aware of, if like me, you did not know. The keyboard itself is amazing. the mechanical springs are purely for tactile feel alone, The keys are actuated by a laser signal, so you do not have to fully depress any key for it to trigger. However, if feels so good to just press any key all the way down, why wouldnt youThe volume knob at the top right is fantastic for changing the volume on the fly without having to reach for my speakers, and the mute button in the center is a nice touch as well

I love this keyboards rgb lights. I bought it for the brand name, quality and to complete my setup at home with other Razer accessories. The pad is very comfortable and stable. The keys sound loud in the beginning but then you just get used to it. Build quality is awesome and it really adds style to my PC setup.

If clicky is your style, then youll love this keyboard. Razer obviously spent a lot of time perfecting this keyboard lineup, as the quality shows. The clickyness is way too loud for me. Also, supporting macro keys but not having any dedicated macro keys without sacrificing a standard keyboard key is a bit annoying.

This keyboard is one of the better keyboards out there. We like feedback from a keyboard as you are typing on it and the clicking that this keyboard does is perfect for just that. I am a touch typist and this fits well into my typing lifestyle. With the additional application for the Windows you can customize your keyboard for every game that you have to make it easier for you to use. You can change the color and the effects that the keyboard does while you are using it. The sound controls in the upper right hand side are perfect as well. I currently use mine without the ergonomic pad but my spouse uses it. We think it was worth the amount we paid for this item.

It arrived in good condition and worked as describedintended, overall, pretty good. It is my main keyboard at the moment but there were really only a few problems. Since the actuation force and travel distance is less than my old keyboard, I would accidently actuate a key, but over time I got used to it. On the aluminum rim of the wrist rest part of it lost its paint or slightly chipped but that doesnt really change anything, so I am fine with it and it was my fault. Also, the area on the writs rest where I normally keep my hand on is less firm than the other parts of the writs wrest which makes sense. To be perfectly honest there are more value keyboards, but I did buy it when it was on sale and I like Razer products. Keep in mind this review is being written after about 3 months of using the keyboard.

All I can say is WOW This Keyboard Really does the job. The hardware itself feels so premium like it is solidly built and will last a long time I think it is a pleasure to type on, stream media, and of course play games. The media keys are a great edition and I know that I would want dedicated keys on any keyboard going forward. The RGB Lighting is beautiful and is not rivaled by any other computer gaming peripheral manufacturer. I know a lot of people complain about Razers Software but I must admit that it works seamless with almost all of the games. This keyboard is the best of the best and It took me about 3 returns to find this gem. Go ahead and join the PC Master race.

The actuation distance is very short in these such that the weight of my fingers resting in the keys can press them. I would recommend trying them out in store first to make sure its what you want. Other than that the keyboard is perfect. Aesthetically pleasing. Great build quality. Media keys are a nice touch.

This keyboard is great. The keys are clicky and wonderfully responsive. The led customization is very nice and the way it synchronizes with some games is surprisingly effective. The rist rest also makes it quite comfortable and the extra under lighting on it carries the affect around it nicely.

Excellent keyboard. I love the purple switches they are akin to Cherry MX blues, tactile and clicky, they are super responsive due the optical switches it uses a beam of light to actuate, nothing faster than the speed of light. The wrist rest is among the best Ive had Ive had Corsairs K95, Fnatics etc, and this is definitely the comfiest one, its supper padded It also has RGBThe only two cons are, for the price, they should have used double shot PBT keycaps, not cheap ABS plastic but I was able to solve that by using Hyperxs double shot PBT caps set, only 3 keys did not fit as you can see on my pic, but all the other ones did without any fuzz. And second, no USB pass through. Those are the only cons. I was able to snag it on sale for about 50 less, that allowed me to get the PBT keycaps.

Pros This keyboard is cool when you are connecting it directly to your PC. The lighting affects work well and catch the eye.Cons Dont plan on using this keyboard with any type of USB or Thunderbolt dock. It will continually disconnect at what seem like random intervals, causing typing issues or just not working. Contacted Razer support and their answer was they dont recommend connecting it via any hub. You are only supposed to connect it to the PC directly. That doesnt work for me and my setup so Im writing this review to ward off others who might be thinking about buying this keyboard. I have tried two different docks, same issue. The Kensington SD5700T and the Dell D600. both have the exact same issue. Again, Razers support said that since it works when plugged into the PC directly, there isnt an issue and they recommend that their peripherals ONLY be plugged in directly to the PC.Also, this could be both a PRO or a CON depending on who you are. This keyboard is sooooooo clicky. Like can be heard across the house in other rooms clicky. If this was a clickbait article I would say Partners hate this ONE thing.

I bought this keyboard on october of last year 2018 and Ive used it since. I have never had any type of problem with this keyboard, it works perfectly for me and has always worked perfectly. First of all, the design is completely beautiful, youll not find a better looking keyboard than this one. The build materials are of high quality, the RGB lights are super bright and look amazing, and the strip around the whole keyboard is gorgeous.Next, the mechanical switches or should I say OptoMechanical switches are the best there are, it has an amazing quick response time, they also have a short travel distance and the feeling and sound are amazing, though you should try them before you buy it because not everybody likes this type of switches. Also, the media controls this keyboard has are amazing, the little wheel is the best I have tried and the rest are pretty basic but are elegant.Theres only two things I do not completely love about this keyboard and the first one is the price 200 USD is pretty expensive, but if you cann afford it I wpuld recommend you to buy it. The second one is the cable, it is very thick and then it divides into two USB cables, one for the keyboard and the other for the RGB lights.

I recently did a AMD Ryzen 9 build and this keyboard was my choice. I went with this keyboard and Im happy I did. Razer spared no expense on this one. The keys are really light, with the clicking sound, and the Chroma lighting is really nice. The armrest is really soft and comfortable. Im a video creator and the shortcut keys are a big help considering I can set them as shortcut keys. Im new to Razer and between this keyboard, and the Ultimate Balisk wireless mouse, production will be much easier and quicker.

This was a replacement to a Razer Black Widow keyboard. This keyboard is comparable and a bit more snug then then the Widow and I am having to get use to a tighter spacing with the key strikes. As a software engineer, my day is a constant stream of keystrokes and all errors have to be immediately corrected. Since I have been using my new Huntsman Elite keyboard my accuracy has improved and I am spending less time correcting typos. The feeling is pleasant and while I thought the keys a little small at first, they are actually perfect with a hair more space between them this is good. I highly recommend this keyboard. By the way, it comes with an excellent wrist rest, adorned with Led highlighting. Everything to like here.

I have owned almost exclusively Corsair gaming keyboards for years. When I heard about the new optomechanical switches in this keyboard, I had to give them a shot. And it was worth it This keyboard is incredible with how fast it actuates in game. I have used the MX Speed switches, and I honestly prefer these over those. The only thing I will say is that the tactile click is rather loud, but nothing that you dont expect from a Razer switch. The good thing about this keyboard is that it does have a cylindrical piece on the underside of the key caps, so you CAN put dampening orings on these keys to decrease the click a little, and that helps a ton if you are someone that doesnt care for the clicking. Allinall, this keyboard is one of the best that I have used, and I HIGHLY recommend you pick it up if you can.

Ive had this keyboard for almost a year now and its still like brand new. The keys are very sensitive, so its great when gaming competitively. The best thing I love about this is that its Chroma sync as well as the vol. dial on the upper right corner that makes it easier to adjust my vol. rather than ult tabbing to get to the sound or using my headset. The dial button makes it much easier for me when I am gaming.

It arrived with indentation marks on the front just to the left of where the humongous wrist wrist connects. Definitely not Best Buys fault. This was definitely a manufacture issue. I paid 159 bucks. The thing better be flawless, but nope. All the keys sound pretty typical as it relates to a mechanical keyboard, but the space bar sounds really loud when hitting bottom. The connectors that keep it balanced to the left and right of the key are designed to lock in place on a really small metal bar, if that makes sense. I dont think its the bars that make the loud banginglike noise. I just think that the key is hitting the top metal plate of the keyboard and that is what makes it sound so loud. It is super distracting because ALL the other keys are literally uniform in sound except that spacebar. The wrist rest is WAY too large. So large that unless you are looking at the keyboard sideways, you cannot see the lighting around the perimeter of it as a user. And it sits straight up and down like a box of sorts instead of having been designed with a slight downward feel from the keyboard to the user. Its comfortable, but way too boxy, cannot see the light around it, and it is too front to back boxlike. Honestly, it is almost as big as the keyboard. And I am just noticing that the light around the wrist rest is flashing. Apparently defective.RGB is bland at best. Not as brightvibrant as I would have liked. Thats just me. They do come across evenly through the whole board, but just not bright enough. And I also prefer that the symbols found on the top row number keys have light, but they dont. If typing with a desk light off, and you need to type a particular symbol adjacent to a number key, forget about it. You really have to look for it.This will undoubtedly impress a gamer, maybe. For sure a young person that things mechanical keyboards are the best thing since sliced bread, but for an older man like myself, I too enjoy nice lighting on my keyboard, but I also want it to function uniformly when typing, I want the lights to be brighter and more legible, and if it comes with a wrist rest it should not be as big and cumbersome, and defective as the one this board has.

This is my favorite keyboard, hands down. I prefer the feel of Razer keyboards, and this one is solid. The wrist pad doesnt have much padding to it and your wrist will touch some of the metal, which is kind of annoying at first, but it doesnt bother me anymore. Ive heard some things about the keys not lasting as long as some other keyboards, but I always get the warranty on keyboards because I use it so much, so honestly if it goes out within the 2 years great, new keyboard for me. Keyboards are a very personal thing, in my opinion. If you dont know if youre going to like it or not, go to the store and try them out. They all have their own personal feel, some feel more bouncy, some more responsive, etc. If I had to describe what Razer feels like I would use the word crisp.

After seeing a numerous amount of reviews on this keyboard I was skeptical. But when I purchased it and started using it myself it really made me upset that I even doubted it. Razer is by far one of the best keyboard manufacturers on the market and this keyboard shows it. The speed at which you will be typing with these new purple switches is something Ive never seen before. The RGB lighting is amazing and Razer really lets you customize it to YOUR specific needs and wants. From changing the color to changing the input of different switches theres no limit to whats possible. The sound is so pleasing from these switches as well

Ive been an avid power user of Razer mechanical keyboards for going on a decade. My two keyboards before purchase were both Razer Black Widows, with the first one originally purchased in 2016.My keyboard use is primarily for gamingbusiness. Lately Ive been looking for a replacement for my Black Widow at my home battlestation as it was located in my master bedroom, where the clicks could be disturbing to others late at night.Enter the Huntsman Elite Linear Optical Switch Keyboard.First, Its important to note that the Huntsman elite offers two different switches1 There is the traditional optical switch, the fastest actuation of any non custom made gaming keyboard and2 the linear optical switch, a smidgen slower in actuation than its forefather but nearly 90 quieter. At my local bestbuy the Razer section there had an attachment to its displays that showed all 5 current Razer switches currently in production models. I was able to compare the optical and linear optical switch side by side and the results were nuts. I could barely, if at all, tell that the optical switch was a bit faster and I might have imagined it as I knew going in it would be the fastest, but the difference in noise of the linear optical switch was night and day.Another bonus that I hadnt bothered looking up was the overall difference in size of the keyboard. The Black Widows have an additional bulk to them that I suspect had to do with the original product design. The Huntsman is significantly smaller yet offers all of the same features along with a much more user friendly ability to control media sound with a scroll wheel located in the top left. Its built solidly out of metal and the product feels well made and well designed.Keystroke on the linear took all of five minutes to get used to. I suspect the key spacing on the Huntsman is a mm tighter than the Black Widow but I didnt notice any issues with extended typing. The only two cons I cant mention are1 lack of a usb port this was standard on the Black Widow and I did like having it but the sheer amount of space saved doesnt make me miss it all that much2 The wrist pad feels softer than the black widow pads. The black widow pads have a tendency to disintegrate with time replaceable through razer directly so Im curious to see if this one performs better, the same, or worse than its forefather. Additionally, since the wrist pad itself is RGB enabled, I suspect its replacement will be costlier than the original Black Widow pads. Time will tell and Ill update this review accordingly.Regardless, I have no regrets over this purchase. Its sleek, insanely fast, very quiet, upgraded interface, and better overall RGB lighting than the Black Widows. It is most definitely an upgrade over the previous generation of keyboards and will be a mainstay of mine for years to come.

AestheticsOf course, this is always going to be personal preference. In my opinion, this is a gorgeous keyboard. Nobody does RGB lighting better than Razer. The font on the keycaps itself is 1010. Its small, crisp and attractive. The light shines through it brilliantly. The accuracy of the colors is also way better than Corsair boards. But I would say Logitechs is a close second. However, they do not illuminate the secondary keys. I dont know what the heck Razer is thinking with this. But I think its to make the light perfectly uniform across the board. Light does not shine from underneath the keys very much unless at max brightness. It does get bright but not as bright as say the Corsair Mk.2 SE. There is also a multistage brightness to fine tune however dimbright you want, and they all look fantastic. Whereas, on Corsair boards they all look terrible except for max brightness. There is a crazy amount of customization options for the RGB between the keys, volume wheel, edge lighting on the keyboard itself and wrist rest. There is an aluminum matte top plate. That honestly, unless I am pressing on it I cant even tell is aluminum because it looks like high quality plastic. Compared to Corsairs there is no contest. Corsairs brushed aluminum is better. However, with that said the keyboard itself looks fantastic. There is almost no wasted space on this keyboard at all. They didnt add extra space just to put their logo on it which I really like. The only place you see any razer branding is on the back label and on the wrist rest. It is stitched in there and looks fantastic, so it doesnt distract or take away anything. The volume dial looks great especially with the RGB outline. The multimedia keys are cool with the RGB circle around them, but they dont have any lights illuminating the playpause or forwardbackward symbols. What the heck were you thinking RazerThe keyboard would look great in an office setting because it doesnt have the gamer look… except for the RGB lighting of the keys and of course the lighting that surrounds the edges around the keyboard itself. But if you turned that off it would fit right in. That is if the clicky switches dont drive your coworkers to kill you.Regarding the wrist rest, it looks great. It is made of faux leather with a slight bit of padding. There is a Razer symbol in the middle, but it looks classy. Around the edges is the RGB lighting and on the top is a magnetic strip to provide power and attach to the keyboard which is awesome. I enjoy that it is magnetic over just placing it close or snapping it into place like Corsairs. Hats off to Razer for creating such a great wrist rest. It also looks premium and doesnt look gamer like at all.FeelThis keyboard feels solid. It doesnt feel like its going to fall apart. But does it feel like its worth 200 I almost want to say yes it does. It feels just as solid as the K70s if not more so. On the bottom of the board there are some rubber pads which make it not damage the desk that it is sitting on and also makes it so it wont move. The actual steps to incline the board come in two stages and are vertical instead of horizontal. I know some people prefer those in a certain direction. But ergonomically you shouldnt have those up. Last the keyboard comes in at almost 4 lbs.Moving on to the volume wheel and the playpause forwardbackward buttons. The volume wheel is awesome. Significantly better than Corsairs in every aspect. I like that when you press volume up it has a distinct click, it is incased in rubber with the RGB lighting in the middle, and the lights change to signify a change. When you press the button, it goes red notifying you that you are muted and has a very nice satisfying click. Moving onto the playpause, forwardbackward buttons they feel super cheap. Same click as volume wheel which is nice, but there is a lot of wobble, and they feel like they will break off at any moment. For a 200 board I find this to be unacceptable. I dont understand why razer cant just use something like the Corsair boards. Probably due to copyright. Also, there is no illumination of the symbols which is highly disappointing. Especially, since its hard to see the lights that surround the media keys from a normal typing position.Moving onto the keys themselves. To me this is the best part of the entire keyboard. I myself am a fan of tactile, clicky, and as fast as I can get. When I think of a mechanical keyboard that is what I expect to find tactile and clicky. The other thing that makes these switches special is they require 45 grams of force with a 1.5 mm actuation point with a total travel of 3.5 mm. Which makes them one of the fastest switches out there. They are also a hybrid optical mechanical switch. This means that they use light with less moving parts which makes them last longer. They say 100 million clicks. Which is 50 million clicks more than Cherrys. They also have stabilizer bars on every key which means you dont get key wobble. But what about the feel They are very light when you go to press the key. Then you feel a very minor click when they actuate and seriously I mean mild. Way softer then Romer G tactile and then you hear a very satisfying click. Much like Razer Greens. A lot of people say they are really loud. However, I disagree. I think they are average in the sense of how loud they are. Me typing on the Corsair Mk.2 SE was louder than me typing on this board. Also, the space bar has a nice bass sound to it with a satisfying click but isnt super ridiculously loud. It is just as loud as the rest of the keys. Perhaps just slightly louder. All the clicks feel great. I would rate this switch a 910. The 1010 being a slightly more tactile bump, and low profile like the new cherry mx low profile speed switch. But the sound is perfect. Seriously, I love typing on this thing. Ill talk about gaming in the performance section down below.Personal Pros and ConsProsA. Razer optomechanical switches Light and clicky with per key stabilizer bar with new stem shape provides balanced keypress. Balanced 45 g force of actuation. 100 million keystrokes. Only lights up the primary key. Except for numpad.E. Takes two USBs to fully power the keyboard lighting.Overall ImpressionsBefore buying this keyboard, I researches sooo many keyboards, switches, companies, reviews, and everything that I went from a complete noob to almost a subject matter expert. I bought a Logitech G Pro which is my 3rd favorite keyboard The Logitech G513 or something, Corsair K70 MK.2 SE Rapidfire, Tried one with blues and brown cherry switches, this and then the Corsair K70 mk.2 low profile rapidfire. The only two that are left are the Razer Huntsman Elite and the Corsair K70 mk.2 low profile rapidfire which ended in a tie. I couldnt decide and will be keeping both. Using this to type and look pretty on my desk and the rapidfire to game with. Which isnt to say that this isnt fantastic to game with. Because it is. Then one of these will eventually go to my stream PC when I get it. What Im saying is this is an incredible board. Better than the mast majority out there. The only board that comes close is the K70 low profile rapidfire. This beats the regular rapidfire. Its stupid expensive. But dang is it nice. Still think a lower price point would make it more alluring and perfect.PerformanceThese keys feel great. Between the 45gram force, actuation distance, total travel time, being opticalmechanical, and tactile they are perfect for gaming. Maybe not as perfect as the Corsair K70 MK.2 Low Profile Rapidfire. But better at gaming then every other board I tried above except for the low profile rapidfire. The speed makes them ideal for anything competitive. The tactile click allows you to be fully aware of what you are pressing, when, and the moment it takes effect without needing screen feedback which is different with linear switches where it is either when it bottoms out or when you see the screen change. Unless you have it timed perfectly with your fingers which almost no one does. The keys are spaced well too which makes hitting far to reach ones such as the F1, T, G etc easy. If I had a rating, I would put this at a 910 for gaming and the low profile rapidfire at a 1010 with the original rapidfire at a 810 and all other switches at an 710. The reason why the low profile rapidfire takes the cake is its slightly faster which is notable in game. And its easier to glide across the top of those keys, and less fatiguing, over these. But they are so freaking close that really, its a tie and you should go with whatever fits YOU best. You wont go wrong picking this board if you like clicky and tactile. If you like linear and low profile I recommend the Corsair K70 MK.2 low profile rapidfire.

One of the better keyboards Ive used. Im generally not a fan of wrist rests, but the one that came with this keyboard feels so high quality its hard not to use it. Coming from Corsair MK1, MK2, and low profile speed switches and STRAFE silent switches, there is only 1 downfall of this keyboard The sound. Its very loud. That being said, everything else surprised me.PROSRESPONSE The responsive rate playing games on this is insane. I found myself moving so fast I couldnt control my movement and went with the flow Like Captain America when he first got his powers and ran after the car, he ran through a store.TYPING They NAILED this down. The typing is hands down the best typing experience I have ever had the pleasure of typing with. I thought Corsair Cherry MX silent strafe and speed switches won had no contest but after using optical switches, WOW, just WOW. Im sure other companies will make an optical switch for their keyboards eventually but at this time, Razer has the only one. Its no wonder they ranked this as the 1 selling keyboard in the US.WRIST PAD I usually dont care for a wrist rest, but I really actually love this wrist rest and ended up actually using it. Its super comfortable and feels natural. The pleatherleather feeling is nice and comfortable.Overall, just like the Razer Viper, I would recommend optical switches of any peripheral. It definitely is here to stay.

Pros Lovely actuation. Easy to press, great quality and feel, nice and clicky. RBG is bright and very customizable. Wrist rest is comfortable and sleek along with the keyboard. Media keys work perfectly, although youll need to remove google play music from Chrome for them to function on other apps such as Spotify.Cons No hot swappable switches. No USB pass through or cable routing under the keyboard minor inconvenience

Easily one of the best gaming keyboards you can get. Ive had a total of three Razer keyboards. The first was one of the early Black Widows, the second was an Ornata V1, and this Huntsman Elite being my most recent. From my experience with these three keyboards, the Huntsman Elite has been the most pleasant. Granted, being an elite version gives it some inherent pros that basic editions dont have dedicated media buttons i.e., pause, FFW, RWD, and mute buttons, a volume wheel, and a wrist pad though the basic Ornata comes with a wrist pad too, so this pro isnt exclusive to Elite editions. What the Huntsman does have that to my eye is objectively different and better than other Razer keyboards Ive had is listed below Better keyboard design. Other keyboards are all susceptible to getting crumbsdust in the keys, but the Huntsman doesnt have this issue. Generally, keyboards have depressions for lack of a better term that the keys go into which allows dust and crumbs to accumulate. Meanwhile, the Huntsmans keyboard is solid with no depressions Better build quality. Every other keyboard is usually made of tough plastic, but much of the Huntsman is made of metal except for the keycaps and media buttons Better RGB lighting. Since the Black Widow is an older keyboard, its lighting was definitely less bright and pleasing. Though, the Ornatain terms of quality of the lighting, are on par with the Huntsman. Where the Huntsman shines is in how many places its lit up. Its wrist pad and the bottom of the keyboard is lined with an RGB strip that gives an overall more deluxe lookIn terms of the actual keys quality, I dont have the perceptive ability to notice much of a difference in terms of latency or anything like that. Generally, from all the Razer keyboards Ive had, theyve all been good with similar quality. Soundwise, the Black Widow had that OG, loud mechanical keyboard sound, the Ornata was definitely the quietest something I really liked personally, and the Huntsman is somewhere in between the two. The only reason Im giving this 4stars instead of 5 is because of the sound of the keys which is purely a personal preference objectively speaking, the Huntsman is a 5star keyboard. If the keys sounded more like the Ornatas Id personally give this 5stars. Again, this is a personal preference, objectively a 5star.Note Razer is VERY iffy with their quality control. Ive never had a bad keyboard from them, but maybe Ive just gotten lucky. However, Ive had quality differences with their headsets and mice ranging from simple exterior build problems i.e., peeling rubber linings to hardware problems i.e., scroll wheel perceiving a downwards scroll wheel as an upwards one and headsets no longer playing sound. This isnt a dealbreaker for me personally, because I can always return faulty products, but this is something consumers should be aware of before purchasing from Razer.

Love this keyboard. All keys are fast and responsive and has that nice mechanical feel to them. The macro buttons work great and having the volume control on the side is a nice touch too. The RGB has some nice software that makes it easy to sync up with the rest of the PC and will even sync up with actions in games Perfect for gamingIf I had to pick something bad about the keyboard, it would be that the keys are pretty loud when pressed. The mechanical feel is great but it also gives it a mechanical klack sound too. So if youre trying to be or need to be quiet, or if you get or live with someone who gets easily annoyed by loud klacking sounds, you may want to look else where.Other than that, 10 put of 10. Would recommend.

As the title says, I am not a gamer. I am in mid50s business professional who spends about 60 hours a week in front of a computer. So I went to Best Buy looking for a new keyboard to replace my old Logitech with the sticky space bar. I tried every keyboard they had in the business section and they all felt mushy and flimsy. I glanced over into the next aisle where the gaming keyboards are, and the sales rep said oh those are gaming keyboards, you probably dont want one of those.Lured by the seductive flashing colored lights, I ignored his advice and went over and started typing on the Huntsman Elite keyboard. All I could say is WOW The tactile feel and exquisitely wonderful clickiness of this keyboard is exactly what I was looking for. I havent felt a keyboard this precise since the old IBM keyboards of the 1970s and 80s.Again Wow This is exactly what I was looking for I tried a number of other gaming keyboards. All were good, but this one simply felt the best.Bringing it back to the office, installation was easy and flawless. Its worth mentioning that it does require two USB ports. This is not a problem for me as I have a USB hub and docking station.Plugging in to the ports, my HP Spectre360 immediately recognized the keyboard and produced a welcome screen for me to download the software. The software provides a wide selection of settings and adjustments but is remarkably easy to use.As a business user, I certainly dont need all of the flashing lights, but to be honest they are so cool I could not resist setting up custom chroma profiles. Basically, you can make the lights and colors do pretty much anything you want them to do. The chroma set up allows you to build layers of lighting features in a method that reminds me of Photoshop. The one thing that my old Logitech keyboard had that I liked was a dedicated button for the Calculator app. It is something that I used several times each day. While the Huntsman Elite keyboard does not have this, I was able to create a macro and remap the pausebreak key to perform this function. Took a little bit of research to figure out how, but it wasnt difficult. After several days of using this new keyboard I am as thrilled as ever. The keys are silky smooth and have a precision that makes it a pleasure to use. One thing worth mentioning is that the keys are very clicky which I personally like. However, If you share an office with somebody, I could see where they might find the clicking to be a bit annoying. The overall build quality of this keyboard is superb. It is heavy and feels very solid. The volume control on the right side of the keyboard is perfectly placed and is very useful.I have only one complaint about this keyboard. On some of the keys that have a dual function for shift, such as the colon and semicolon, the markings on the key are upside down from the norm. The nonshift function is on the top and the shift function is on the bottom. And only the nonshift function is illuminated see photo. Its not a big deal as I am primarily a touchtypist, but it seems a little bit stupid. All I can say is I wish I knew but such an excellent keyboard existed years ago. I think this company should market this product to business people like me as well as gamers.

I really wanted to love this keyboard. The only reason I wanted to give it a try was so that it would flow and match my Razer Keypad, mouse and mouse pad. So as you read my thoughts, Im not a Razer Hater.Things that didnt work right. The RGB lights from Z to the arrow keys Bottom row were dim, not as bright as the other keys.At times it would double type LettersThing I just didnt like Media keys. Round knobs, they just look cheap, out of place and not what I think should be on a 200.00 keyboard.Volume wheeel. Moving it up turns the volume down, moving it down turns the volume up. And the design I HATE, it wasnt smooth IMO. I really wish Razer would have used a wheelroll type like on Corsair K95.Typing felt cramped to me IMOIm not a CLICKY fan but I would have lived with it, I wish they had other keys to offer in this model.OverallI am returning this keyboard today. You can do much better for less. Unless you just want all Razer in front of you like I did but even so, Im not in love with this keyboard to justify the price paid

Im beyond thrilled with this keyboard The optomechanical switches react quickly and have an incredibly satisifying click to them. The including magnetic wrist padding is comforatble.I absolutely love how customizable the RGB lighting on this keyboard is. The included lighting patterns are excellent, additionally there are plenty of readymade deisgns on the web,Gaming mode is also fantastic disabling the windows key and alt f4 so that you dont accidently exit out of your game

The typing experience is godly. The new switches are speedy and deliberate, and the switches sound like slightly quieter RazerGreens. The lighting is bright and I will soon replace the keycaps with HyperX pudding PBT keycaps to allow more light through. Wristrest feels incredible and premium. Definitely recommend. Only con is the price, it would be a better deal at 200, but Razer already offers the Blackwidow Elite at that price point so oh well.

Great product Purchase for my son. My son loves it. He likes the clicking sound the keys make…me not so much. Lights are great. Accidentally got something on it about a month after having it. Keys were popped off and it cleaned up nice, put keys back on and did great.

So, I know it says I only owned this keyboard a few days but this is now my 2nd Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard AND this is the 2nd keyboard where the wrist rest has literally been shocking my wrists when its connected to the keyboard. I have contacted Razer in regards to this waiting for a response from them but until then I have to disconnect the wrist rest from the keyboard. It dont happen constantly so not sure what would actually cause it, and it didnt start happening right away. I made sure to have all the light software and drivers up to date just in case it was a cause, but it did not solve the issue, I can only assume that it has something to do with the connectors from the wrist rest to the keyboard. Once I hear from Razer I will definitely be returning this keyboard to BestBuy as it is still under warranty and will be going with a different keyboard this time around. For giggles I plugged the rest into the keyboard while typing and I am being shocked on and off while I type this….. Honestly its too bad, all in all it is a great keyboard, very responsive and with the exception of the wrist rest, very solid construction. I unfortunately would not recommend this keyboard though due to the wrist rest.

I admit that I havent read the instructions to this keyboard.Things I likeThe built is excellent.RGB Colors. The Wrist pad, love it.Things I dont likeThe software the razer software synapse thing, is confusing and the keyboard behaves weird under some profiles. I need to read the instructions but I was expecting the fn keys to work like they work on any laptop.I also dont like the clicky sound. For this price this keyboard should bring replacement keys.

I have always been a can of Razer equipment. I upgraded from the Blackwidow Ultimate 2016 to this keyboard and am glad that I did. The clicky key feel is amazing yet quieter than my previous keyboard but still has an amazing response time. The RGB backlighting and various options are an added aesthetic that goes well with my battle station. Lastly, the detachable wrist rest with RGB is comfortable, comfortable, and easily detaches as needed. Highly recommended For Gamers. By Gamers.

Great keyboard but the wrist wrest is terrible. The wrist wrest blinks off and on when you rest on it and when the keyboard is moved the rest stays where it is and the keyboard moves. To top things off it isnt compatible with Corsair software. They ruined a nice keyboard with a junky wrist wrest and software. I returned mine for a K100 RGB.

Got this keyboard to replace a razer blackwidow one. The lighting is fantastic and likely the reason your getting it, and in this regards you wont be disappointed. Took me a little time to get to grips with the Razer synapse studio to make the most of the colors, but once I did I setup 3 separate profiles and I am very nitpicky and I got them setup exactly how I wanted. I dislike having to run the synapse software in the background, but it seems lightweight enough and doesnt seem to get in the way, but note there are people out there that have had issues with it, I just have had none so far. The media keys are a nice tough for this model, and sturdier than I thought they would be. Also, a nice extra touch is when you hit the circle volume button to mute the sound, it glows red to let you know this not sure if you can turn it off but I like it so I never looked As I noted in a lot of the reviews I read before buying this keyboard, I didnt feel a significant improvement with the new optical light sensor switches. But having said that, I find this is a fantastic keyboard to type onvery comfortable and responsive. I use a ortholinear keyboard with speed silver mx switches for work, as my wrists hurt when I use traditional keyboards for too long, but for my gaming computer this keyboard is a perfect fit. Also would recommend waiting to pick this up on sale, which it seems to be on quite frequently.

I really like the design and how the lighting syncs up with my Razer mouse. The only real con is the keys are a bit loud. When I tested several other keyboards in store I didnt see much difference between them with noise level though. Overall Im very satisfied with my choice.

The font, the feel of the keycaps, the RGB, the clean and slick look of the board everything about it is purposeful and is exactly what I was looking for in a mechanical keyboard. The switches are incredibly inviting to type on as they have a quick and snappy feel with just the right amount of tactility and resistance, unlike Razer green Blackwidow which I felt to feel airy and fatiguing to use over time. Each key has a stabilizer so no matter which angle you press it from, you get no key wobble, which is actually an amazing understated feature. Its really a beautiful keyboard functionally and aesthetically. As someone who is picky about his keyboards and who has dabbled in everything from brands like Logitech to Topre to the custom keyboard market, I have to say that this has got to be one of the most enjoyable keyboards that I have ever used It is expensive but I would say definitely worth the price because it gets all of the little things right that a lot of other keyboards dont.

Love this keyboard. Great that I can link up the lighting on the keyboard with the Hue Sync app and my Hue entertainment zone. Also the buttons are super clicky and responsive a little loud, though, if you have anyone else who may be bothered nearby. One improvement would be if the wrist rest could be better locked in with the keyboard rather than a weak magnetic attachment I have to move the keyboard occasionally because of my set up, but not that big of a pain.

Summary Its a great performer with smooth, silent switches, its a gorgeous board, especially with the backlight set to just white, and its pretty reasonably priced. Overall, my favorite 60 board by an OEM.Im shocked with how good Razers optolinear switches feel. Theyre vastly smoother and quieter than Cherry MX Reds. Obviously, like any other prebuilt keyboard, theres a good bit of chatter and rattle in the larger keys, especially the space bar and shift keys, but thats more or less expected. Damping sounds okay, I dont really hear any spring ping whatsoever, which is greatDesign is gorgeous. I love the look with no backlight or just a dim white. Not much to say here. Appreciate the matching white braided USBC CablePerformance is as expected. Razer Synapse is fine…Overall, a great board, and not even as expensive as Id expect from Razer

Enthusiast Level I cycle through keyboards so much that it upsets my wife I buy so many. With that out of the way, Im no keyboard master, but Ive certainly owned several high profile models, especially over the last few years. The short story on this keyboard is that it is definitely silent the linear model, but I had so many mistypes that I ended up selling it. I am an experienced typer, so it was baffling how many typos I would have. Never had that problem until I got this keyboard. Maybe linear switches arent for me. Maybe the downforce needed to actuate was just too low. I gave it several months but generally speaking, the excessive typos continued. Thats when I decided to sell it and get my money back. This keyboard costs way too much money to be messing up messages every sentence or two.Once I got rid of the keyboard, the typos went away as mysteriously as they appeared. The rest of the features of the keyboard were fantastic. the onboard audio control was great, the colors were vibrant, and the wrist rest was superb plus the wrist wrest is RBB.

Bought this keyboard to replace the keyboard that came with my sons new gaming PC whole system came from Costco. That keyboard was a dud. This one seems to have far better keys, the nice lights and the handy pad. Will likely look toward this brand for ifwhen the mouse goes bad too.

I bought this looking for a silent mechanical keyboard, and realistically it met that requirement. Its an overall good keyboard and the white color is nice. There are some negatives though. The keys, whilst very quiet for a mechanical keyboard, feel quite heavy and you feel like you really have to hit them for the keystroke to register. Without a wrist support, this keyboard will give you wrist discomfort pretty quickly, as the height at the bottom of the keyboard from your desk is quite high.I eventually switched out for a tenkeyless with built in wrist support, but this is a good keyboard.

This is the best keyboard that Ive ever owned. Im actually using it right now to type this review. The only thing that Ive done is to purchase the Razer PBT keycaps. The plasticABS ones that come with this keyboard feel really cheap.Investing an additional thirty bucks on some better keycaps makes a world of difference.Actually at this price Razer SHOULD be including PBT keycaps. I dont know why they arent especially since they do on some of the TE versions of this board.

So Ive always used Razer keyboards, and this one definitely is the best Ive used so far. But theres one thing for all gamers out there that you need to understand they keys are much more sensitive because of the optomechanical switches. So, for typing, its not an issue at all. For gaming, itll register some clicks double really only an issue in menu systems. It takes getting used to how hard you really have to press the key. Once you get that adjustment down, its smooth sailing and I couldnt recommend this board any more

Be very careful, this keyboard must have the Chroma software installed or it will blink annoyingly so as to prevent you from using the keyboard without the software. The software specifically states it will collect all key strokes. There is no opt out, only the ability to remove the software which as I said earlier renders the keyboard unusable. The software clearly states, amongst other things, date of birth, physical address, CC s, SSN and all keystrokes will be retained by Razor. Again, there is NO opt out. In addition the keyboard has an internal flash drive to hold this data while offline for later transmission to Razor. I just had to disassemble and destroy a 130 keyboard because its not possible to use it without having all keystrokes logged, even when offline. The hardware is fantastic quality, why its a REQUIREMENT to be spied on to use it is beyond me. Be aware, great keyboard that logs all keystrokes as well as all audio output from any audio devices connected to computer. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Stars Negative Infinity. I wouldnt recommend this to my worst enemy.

The keyboard part of this product works great, granted its hard to mess that up these days. However, this product falls flat on the extra features it offers. The RGB wrist rest Glitches half the time, does stay connected properly and desyncs the rest of the RGB. The light up indicators for caps lock or num lock get stuck and so when I toggle them the lights dont flip. Small details they really kill this product. ESPECIALLY at this price point.

Better than I thought. I dont game, I barely have customized it. way over my head, but I still love this thing. The wrist pad, the colors, and the volume wheel and media keys are the best. Only issue is Im a night owl so the loud key clicks make me wonder if Im waking people up.I know theres a ton more I could do with this thing but Im too lazy. You can spend hours just customizing every keys lighting.

Was looking for a white keyboard to fit my aesthetic for my new build in a white NR200P and found this keyboard while browsing my local Microcenter and it fit the bill. It was a nice and portable to go along with the size of the mini itx case and it didnt have any loud clicky switches which Ive eventually outgrown. The switches Razer used are linear optical switches and they provide very nice feedback as well as a fast response time which is good for gaming. Overall, this is a very good keyboard for the price, I enjoy the look and feel of it and dont have too many complaints without getting knitpicky. I recommend trying it yourself at a local Microcenter to see if the feel is right.Pros1.Smooth linear switches2.Small form factor3.Good travel4.Adjustable RGBCons1.Build quality could be betterall plastic2.No dedicated arrow keysgets you very efficient with the function key3.Wired

Feels amazing. The new linear Optical switches are like butterIf you are a Razer fan, you need to own this board. If your not a fan or dont know what Razer is, please know that this is the new standard for a gaming keyboard.I use to run a Corsair K70 Lowprofile board, and I really didnt see a reason to switch, until this board was released. Having played with the keys a bit via an in store display model, I was able to see that there was a huge difference in the solidarity of keys in my board and the new huntsman.Long story short, there are plenty of other boards and brands that preform great and will certainly cover your gaming needs. But….. the Razer Huntsman, with its linear optical switches and soft leather wrist rest are hands down the best investment and prereferral for you money Happy gaming out thereP.S. The Grey WASD caps in the pictures are pulled from my Corsair board and transferred with no issue. Obviously, they make it easier to feel the correct finger placement when gaming.
