I was researching for the perfect gaming keyboard for me and this was it. Its clicky but its also smooth and very responsive. Install was quick and Razers RGB software made it so easy to choose which lighting I wanted. I didnt think I needed the wrist rest but when I use a keyboard without one, it felt weird and uncomfortable. The media keys help a lot when Im listening to music and want a quick and easy way to change tracks and volume. If this keyboard broke Id replace it with another one of these I consider this one of the best purchases Ive made towards upgrading my gaming peripherals.
aNiMeEyEz02 –
Love everything about this The color is amazing and the lighting display is customizable. My favorite thing has to be the mechanical key sound when typing The wrist rest is not connected to the keyboard itself, its free standing, so you can use it, or remove it. My computer table is glasstop and the wrist rest has little pads on the bottom so it doesnt shift. All in all I love this keyboardIf you have other Razer products, you can sync the light displays using the Razer Central app when downloaded on your computer.
Nick H –
I chose the keyboard based on quality and positive reviews. I also appreciated the chance to test out the feel of the keys before purchasing. Highly recommend the product and the vendor.
Carlo –
My son likes it. It does what its supposed to do, nice feeling, as he states that it gives a different feeling compared to the gaming laptop keyboard. I bought this during black friday in store, 50 off. Great value at that price…. I felt it was more of a steal after actually seeing the results.
Nancy M –
Its easy to use and I love that even though its a mechanical keyboard, its not so loud that my friends can hear it through my microphone. Its fantastic and I love the colorchanging feature and how the color syncs with my Razer mouse too
Anonymous –
This keyboard is just fantastic. I love how the keys are silent but still have a great feedback. The Razer Chroma lighting looks really good easy to surimi with, and is able to sync with the rest of my setup. Overall, you will get your money worth with this great looking and super comfortable keyboard.
jteirich –
It does what it should. Great switches, solid build. The lighting is pretty easy to manage as well. If they cost a little less I would want one for all of my PCs.
JeffL –
I had high expectations of this keyboard. I find myself having to retype things because the keys are so high so your fingers really need to go up and over and down onto a key. Highly annoying if you type fast… I think I will return and find something else.
lreyes1981 –
This is a great mechanical keyboard. Its super easy to play online games and makes it is one of the best a bought for gaming. I recommended highly. I bought one for my daughter as well. Overall great product
Qwerty987 –
Got it for my daughter and she LOVES it pink … The green switches are louder than the corsair. With the raised keys, looks like it will be easier to keep it clean compared to the older blackwidows.
blaible –
This is my first mechanical keyboard and after trying over 20 different types I bought this one. It is beautiful and the font razor uses looks more professional than most of the other keyboard. The colors are bright and the hand rest is very comfortable. The keys feel well built and they dont have any unwanted wiggle, even the space bar is nicely stabilized. The usb and audio passthrough is another nice feature. I would definitely recommend this keyboard for both gaming and typing.
John –
The best gaming keyboard out there, free mechanical switches. Makes loud clicking sounds that suits ones ear. Many modifications for the rgb lights.
DONUTKAT –
My daughter picked this one out while we were shopping on line for her birthday. She wanted one to match the color of her Apple Air Pad. She loves using this keyboard and loves the backlighting. This gift put more smiles on her face than an ice cream sundae.
Kirk –
This keyboard is great if you like mechanical and RGB keyboards. I have the Huntsman Elite which I use for work and gaming, and purchased this one for my daughter so I could get my BlackWidow Essential back from her.The touch and feel is great, the wrist rest is soft and comfortable, and the switches are pretty loud this is a good thing. The keys are super responsive, but not to the point where youre accidentally hitting another key.I may buy another for me, so I can switch between this one and my Huntsman Elite.
GUY –
If can type 100 of the time without looking or glancing at the keyboard, then other than a Corsair product this it the keyboard for you.For years I had issues typing on other keyboards that I thought were my problem.I would type simple words like and, the, or that would appear as, adn, teh, or, then selfcorrect. Reality I was typing too fast and was ahead of the buffer andor if wireless, the Bluetooth connection. Now The keyboard has none of the typeahead keyboard dyslexic issues. I am flying. The keyboard is a computer within itself allowing the creation of macros, etc.
CustomerCritic –
My first Razer mouse was one of their first to market, did not have a huge slope, and eased any finger fatigue by being extremely receptive to touch. After 16 years, the wire to that mouse was tragically caught in a drawer door
ScreenQueen –
If I could give this keyboard I would give it a big fat 0 You think if they make pink products a girl should of been included in the thought process of this keyboard. I never returned something so fast in my life. First off, I bought this keyboard because 1 It was Pink 2 It had a volume roller 3 It had a pink wrist rest. Upon opening the box, the first thing I grabbed was the wrist rest. To my disappointment, it was just a hard piece of pink plastic I want my wrist rest to be comfortable Just just a hard piece of plastic. Not felt, no cushion, no thing. Also it had nothing to connect it to the keyboard. It just lays against it……… so disappointed At least let it hook to the keyboard some how. I push against my keyboard when I play so this wrist rest moved the second I laid my wrist on it. It moved forward on top of the keyboard with no way to keep it from moving on top of the keyboard. Also, the keyboard felt cheap and the roller volume was a bit sharp with the bumpy texture used on the roller. The keys were less clicks then razer huntsman. Over all, super disappointed in this keyboard. The main reason I wanted it was for the pink wrist rest. But they cheaper out and gave us a hard piece of plastic that you lay infront of the keyboard. If a women was involved with designing this keyboard, you should be ashamed of yourself. Worst design ever
Tomas –
Pros Really good build quality, nice function keys and i like the usb and headphone jack on the side.Cons The stabilisers are BAD, the green switches are louder than expected.
Aerodyne –
Love this keyboard It is an upgrade from the previous quartz that was sold last year. Only downside is the wrist wrest sometimes slides around, which there was a magnet or something to make it more stable. Otherwise its great recommend.
Jimmy E –
The keys feel great and the wrist support is comfortable. The volume wheel is a great quality of life feature and I use it more than I expected to. This model is kinda pricey, but it has exceeded my expectations.
Parker –
Bought this keyboard on sale for 80.99 member price, and I absolutely love it Razer green switches feel so incredibly tactile and the rgb is amazing I highly recommend this keyboard to anybody in the market looking for a mechanical keyboard
Lindsay –
Pros Purchased for my 12 year old son. He likes how responsive the keyboard is and the click noise of the mechanical keys. He also likes the wrist rest and how it lights up. As a parent I am pleased it has the wrist support.Cons Even though my son loves the click of mechanical keys, as a parent, the constant click noise of the keys can get quite irritating if you are in the same room.
jordanb95 –
I will start by saying I do a ton of gaming on my computer , so I need an excellent set up to help me perform at my best. I enjoy their brand and have been really enjoying the performance of the blackwidow elite keyboard. It is full of features that can help a gamer customize to their preferences . Overall performance has been great and I have not had any issues while gaming. I also think setting up the lighting is a fun touch too. Another plus is the wrist rest is plush so you arent rubbing up on a hard hunk of plastic. The body of the keyboard feels durable and isnt to heavy. I would say one area some people may not like is you have to install their software which has crashed a few times on me but I cant imagine that being a make or break for someone. Overall a great investment for a serious gamer .
DAVID –
First, I really like how each individual light can be independently controlled. Makes things really easy to sus out in the dark. The keys have a good positive touch and make a nice clickety sound when they are pressed. If the sound gets too loud, you can always quiet them with some keyboard washers. I am not using the USB passthrough yet, but I have it hooked up. The board is sturdily built, as well. It has a heavy solid metal frame that lets you know its there every time you need to move the board around… this may not be a good thing if you want light and fluffy. The only really negative thing I can talk about is the armrest that attaches with magnets… its always separating. They need to use stronger magnets. Im looking to see if I can add some Neodymium supermagnets, to solve this issue. All told, this board is a real winner in my book
Informant –
This was a gift to my son, He is a typing machine. The sound this keyboard makes is satisfying and the filing and texture is amazing. 40 something years old talking I guess I miss a typewriter.
Stuart –
Pros Mechanical keyboard with a full rgb back light. Fully customizable through the razer software. You can create macros and remap most of the keys.Cons Not really a bad point but it does take some getting use to changing to this keyboard. For some reason the angle that Im typing at feels greater.
JenD –
I love the new model of the racer keyboard. They keys are lifted more and the color is amazing. I wanted to by the mouse with it but I will have to wait till the next purchase. Anyone who loves pink, this is the keyboard for you. Very good quality.
TWill0915 –
Love this keyboard. I use it for both normal use and for gaming. The lights are really bright. It is holding up and performing really well. Couldnt ask for a better keyboard.
Mikko –
This keyboard is so great for gaming. Its colors shift with time and add to the overall fun experience. Pair it with the matching mouse, and youve got a great setup for games.
Jordan –
I love this keyboard. It does have green switches in it so it is very loud. I did have an issue with the lights turning off whenever I would start up my computer for the day but I sent it in to Razer and got it figured out.
KrazyCatz –
Love the color options with this light up keyboard. It was a challenge for me to set it up, but I am not tech savvy. I got it based on looks and reviews. Someone with more technical knowledge and gaming would love this
Disgruntledcustomer –
Coming from the blackwidow elite This key board is very similar but I think the elite is still a better overall keyboard. I think the latency on the keystrokes is over all more responsive and coming with pbt caps they feel much better that is the one bright part of the v3 but the overall construction seems better on the elite and leaves you wanting that to be comparable on the v3. But I will settle for this keyboard since the elite is hard to get now that it is no longer being made.
Damien –
Pros resists movement on desk, works, good key feed back, reasonable customisation options . reasonable software.Cons At least 100 overpriced. unit is a dust magnet and difficult to clean. there is no pass through spill safety feature. Braiding on the cables is an after thought and offers more negatives than anything else they just gather dust and any loose particles due to the material been loose on the electrical inner wires sub standard. media keys omit back lighting on their function type which is ridiculous. absolutely unnecessary product registration information requested to load softwares or register product. Keys unnecessarily noisy.
Celine –
Nice quality keyboard. Super cute, too I dont mind, but heads up that the keys are extremely loud. If you get the chance, I would go in store and try out their display before you buy it. Also, the wrist rest is kinda meh. Its just a detachable piece of plastic not rubber, so dont buy it if you think youre expecting to get any wrist support out of it. The stock image is kind of misleading.
ShellbackGaming –
Its a very nice gaming keyboard. Very responsive. My gripe is that I wish the wrist rest had a better way of connecting to the keyboard. The wrist rest has a tendency to drift and move away from the keyboard when Im playing games like Div 2 or Call of Duty.
Hsayy –
Holy moly. I wasnt expecting to like this keyboard as much as I do. First off, this is a huge upgrade to the cheap MX Blue Switch keyboard that I have. I got it with the Razer Green switches and it feels great. Just enough force is required for me to leave my fingers laying on the keys without them pressing in unlike linear keys where I cannot leave my fingers on the keyboard. I chose this over the Huntsman Elite because reviewers said it had a more comfortable wrist rest, and it really does. I just wish it held on stronger than the weak magnets. The software is extremely extensive. You can program just about any kind of macro or lighting setup that you would want. Overall, this is a solid keyboard that I would recommend to anyone looking for a clicky mechanical.
mben92us –
Had to get this one since my first BWs space bar died suddenly. The keyboard arrived with everything I needed to get ot set up, and Im back in business with a functioning space bar So glad I got this. Thanks
kza9501 –
I liked using the keyboard it sounds really nice while typing, does get quite loud if it is late at night and youre typing an essay or something like that. The features of razer synapse make it look really nice because the lights sync with my razer mouse.
Wolf –
So far am enjoying this keyboard. Love the clicks it has. Havent figured out the color system yet but hopefully will. The wrist wrest is only plastic, not padded so I didnt bother using it.
Jake –
I bought this keyboard for my wife because she liked my razor black widow elite. I would not recommend this keyboard for someone that is looking for comfort. The keys work the same, the lighting works the same, and the RGB lighting looks fantastic but the wrist support is extremely uncomfortable. It easily slides off of the keyboard and has no cushioning or padding whatsoever. The crazy thing is it cost more than the other one I bought, my wife calls it the pink tax. If youre not looking for the comfort of the padded elites and dont mind paying more just because its pink than you will be ok with this keyboard. I just was expecting more.
Matthew C –
Bought this for my mother who uses her computer for work on a daily basis. She loved the sound and feel of these keyboards but would never buy one as a treat for herself. She uses it every day and absolutely loves typing on itthe clicks are responsive, she likes the RGB on her desk, and she loves how it sounds like an old typewriter. Overall she is very satisfied with the keyboard for everyday office work, and from other reviews I have read it is a very solid choice for gaming as well.
Hokage –
First of all, if you dont want a loud keyboard, this isnt for you. This isnt your sleek quiet office keyboard. This thing is solid. Weighs about 5 pounds. Feels extremely well made. It has 3 height adjustments. One being flat and two being raised. The wrist rest has nice grips on the bottom that keep it very stable. Havent seen any slippage out of it. The lights are beautiful with a whole bunch of lighting modes as well as color ranges. Typing feels very nice and the click is satisfying. The only downfall is in order to customize your lighting you must install the razer software. I feel the software is a bit laggy and the file size is large. When your computer is asleep and you wake it up the lighting will be default pink until the software loads your settings. Definitely not a deal breaker but slightly annoying. For gamers, its a nice keyboard. You will definitely hear it over a mic though.I bought the pink quartz color, and its a very nice pale pink. I love it. I have the cyan lights on. So cuteThe volume controls are very nice too. A little roller at the top right makes it very simple to adjust volume
Fangbone –
Got this for my wife for Christmas as shes working from home now. She loves everything about it except for one thing. You have to download software in order to really utilize a keyboard like this to its full potential. And since shes using a laptop issued by her job she is not allowed to install said software. Not a huge gripe as the keyboard itself is great. Just cant change the color of the keys.
Artlovergirl –
I really like the orange switches. It has the tactile feel coupled with a much quieter click. I also required media buttons so this was a winwin for me. My only complaint is that the secondary icons on the keys do not light up. Walmart had the best price 40 less than most. Thanks, Walmart 3
sonyx900h –
Everything as the specs and items described. This is a high end gaming keyboard so you will be getting what you pay for. i bought this Razer keyboard on a Black Friday sale so i got it for a good deal with it being marked down by 40. The keys are smooth and the click you get every time you type just makes it feels so comfortable and inviting to type. RGB colors will make your PC rig pop. Razer has a app you can use to modify and customize your keyboards colors. I love this product. By far my favorite keyboard Ive ever own
Icebonez –
Going from the Blackwidow V2, I was initially really excited, the design is completely different, but still very clean and functional. It works great and syncs flawlessly with my existing Razer Synapse app. There is no reason to go with the V3 Pro, unless you want wirelessBluetooth capabilities. My big issue with this keyboard is that the wrist rest is terrible. It is literally a piece of plastic, no cushioning at all, and is a huge downgrade from the plush leatherette one that came with my V2. You are much better off buying the Razer Ergonomic Wrist Rest separately for 30 than using the one they include. Aside from that, I think it is a great buy if you are looking to upgrade your current keyboard setup.
BobSpange –
Although I am not a gamer, but a programmer, I was looking for a keyboard that had tactile feedback. This keyboard is superb. Its also programmable, which is nice for some of the work I do.All in all, a great, good feel, functional keyboard.
FTDB –
The keyboard has a nice heavy feel to it with a sturdy back plate. The RGB is easy to configure, and the key switches are good. This reminds of of cherry mx blue switches with an audible click along with the tactile bump. Great for typingprogramming with some gaming thrown in.
Michael S –
I was a bit skeptical making this purchase just due to the amount of reviews from people stating they received used keyboards or ones with bad paint jobs, bad kets, etc. But Ive been looking for a smaller sized pink keyboard so I decided to give it a go. Its been a few days but so far so good. The keyboard is seemingly brand new or at least disguised really well to look new. And I havent had issues with the double inputs as some other people have had.My main gripe isnt even at the fault of the keyboard or Razer, but this is my first full mechanical keyboard I was previously using the razer mecha membrane keyboard so Im having to adjust to the extra pressure I need to use for the keys to be fully pressed. Im satisfied with the product. Looks great and works well for me
Hunter –
Cant find the v1 anymore so went with this. Keys are a little cramped compared to the v1. Though it works. The wrist wrest isnt ergonomic at all, I dont even know why they bothered with it. Nobody wants to wrest their wrist on slick hard plastic.
Halsey712 –
I have a Blackwidow TE Chroma V2 Quartz that is tenkeyless. I LOVE the keyboard and it feels insanely high quality and came with a memory foam wrist wrest. I use my computer both for gaming and for work now though, so I wanted to upgrade to something with the numeric keypad and I was so excited to see Razer finally released this one. However, within 20 mins of unboxing and plugging it in I decided Ill be returning it. The entire keyboard feels cheap to me. The wrist rest is just a hard piece of plastic with no cushion and doesnt offer very much support. It really disappoints me that Razer doesnt put out something of their Elite quality in the Quartz edition. Honestly though, for the price of this keyboard please do yourself a favor and just get the Blackwidow Elite or Huntsman Elite. This felt like a 20 keyboard that only costs so much because its pink.
Littleblonde –
I frick frackin love my keyboard ugh the way it clicks is what had me obsessed. I work from home and its so comfortable to type on for hours a day. Definitely would recommend I guess my only con is that i personally have no need for the color change but it was cheaper then the basic pink.
EM –
Im still fairly new to mechanical keyboards but to date Ive used the Huntsman and now this Blackwidow Elite keyboard. While both are good I would like to say that as far as typing and media consumption goes that the Blackwidow wins over the Huntsman keyboard. For me the Huntsman board was much too fast for me to personally get used to typing on I would always make mistakes on it because I would accidently brush the wrong key and type the wrong word this does not happen on my Blackwidow board because the actuation force is 50G VS. the 45G on the huntsman board and trust me you can tell the difference. Also the dedicated media controls on the Elite board are actually quite nice and a feature I didnt know I was missing until I had it. Overall I would say that both the Huntsman and BlackWidow Elite boards are great buys if you have the budget for them, the only thing I would take points off for is the cable. It splits into three parts one to power the board, the next to power the USB passthrough, and the last to power the audio passthrough. If you use this feature then its great and you can ignore this one issue that I have, but if you are like me and dont use it then its honestly just in the way and more cord that you have to cable manage. I really wish there was a way to unplug the extra pieces that you dont need but oh well I will manage and its honestly just a small issue nothing manager at the end of the day.
Josh –
Im legit obsessed with this keyboard, is so comfortable to use, I love the way the keys feel, and being pink is a plus. But unfortunately I did return. Its way too loud for me. I do understand its a gaming keyboard and has mechanical switches but didnt think it would bother me. It was annoying. But if you dont mind the loud clicks, its amazing
Alex C –
By far one of the best gaming keyboards Ive used. The media control knob is very convenient and the quality of the keyboard is excellent. Its definitely worth the money.
Lisa –
Love the color, Im currently in the process of building my P.C. so Im not currently using it but based on the reviews seems like a good sturdy keyboard. Mostly purchased for the aesthetics, Im purchasing the quartz edition set for my build headset, mouse pad, mouse etc.. love the color I did get the geek squad protection since Im not using it.
Broshi –
It works well. It is a bit louder than I thought but isnt an issue most of the time as I wear Corsair Virtuoso SE headphones. My only real complaint is the software. It is not user friendly at all and I am a data scientist who codes daily. It just isnt intuitive at all and take trial and error to figure stuff out. Luckily there are some YouTube videos that make it a bit easier. When you learn the software there is a ton of customization to be had. Overall great keyboard but regret not going wireless.
Gamer –
I am hoping this is a five star keyboard. I bought it for my son for Christmas. He is into gaming and using his keyboard instead of a controller. I was told this keyboard is top notch I certainly hope so. It was very easy to buy it online and have it shipped to my house.
DisplayName –
This is my first mechanical keyboard and I love it For anyone on the fence about paying extra for mechanical I would definitely recommend it. The RGB is nice and easy to customize in the Razer Synapse software. The keys have a subtle texture that looks nice and feels good to press. Little to no deckflex the top part is made out of aluminum and gives it a very premium feeling. The wrist rest is, meh, entirely made out of plastic it is really nice to have but dont expect anything amazing. All in all this is a great keyboard, my first Razer product and I will definitely buy their products in the future.
Donald A. –
This keyboard is responsive. Typing on it feels amazing, the click from the switches is rewarding. The software works well, you can make all of your Razer products light up together. I was surprised at how soft the easytoremove magnetic wrist rest is. I definitely recommend this keyboard.
Megs –
Absolutely love this keyboard Its nice and clicky and feels great both for typing and for gaming and Im thrilled it comes in pink. The RGB is pretty easy to control with the Razer software though the software itself can be a bit confusing to get going and the light level can be easily adjusted from the keyboard itself to either brighten or dim it.The wrist rest doesnt actually attach to the keyboard, but it and the keyboard stay where you put them and the wrist rest provides good support.
Deeski –
Amazing keyboard Feels like a typewriter but with modern features Clicky, tactile feel with bright RGB lighting. Easy to clean as well
Ronald –
Pros Well made, lighting is good, synapse software great. USBaudio passthrough, media controls and wrist rest are worth having over the standard BlackWidow.Cons The USB passthrough is very tight, I had a wireless mouse dongle stuck in there, but the staff at retailer managed to help remove it. They could make the wrist rest a bit longer to accommodate larger hands. Ideally the icons on the media controls would also have LEDs the LEDs are underneath, surrounding the keys.
warfteiner –
Its from Razer. Its quality. Its pink. The mechanical keys are clickyclacky like you expect, but not so much that someone will call you Johnny Hammerless from two rows away in the office.Only complaint the wrist rest does not snap to the keyboard. Small deal, really.
chrisb –
This is a great keyboard. The switches provide nice tactile feedback, and the build quality is excellent. My only complaints are that1. There is no Linux version of the Razer Synapse software that is required to program macros and configure lighting. There is a communitymaintained open source project that provides limited support, but it would be nice to see full, official Linux support.2. There is no way to control lighting without software. It would be nice if there was a way to switch between a few basic modes, or at least allow the user to switch to static mode, rather than the default color cycling.
cyraxx –
It was a very cute design and the lights looked great on my desk. However the keys would sometimes stick and it wasnt as user friendly as I thought it would be. Overall, very nice product.
Josh –
Its not bad. My main complaints are the RGB light bleeds through the key caps and the palm rest is hard plastic. Not worth the price. 100 functional and does what it should.
Bronson –
Its great, its loud, its clicky. Its exactly what I wanted something that feels old school and tactile. The lights are easily customizable through the razer software.
Mike –
My Razer keyboards USB port locked my mouse USB antenna in Be very careful not to destroy your keyboard trying to get it out This is unacceptable at this price range Disappointing…I needed that extra USB port Thats why I chose this model.I dont have the patience for returns or repairs…Besides that II am not a gamer, but, I like my new Keyboard, Very solid construction and cool colors, very easy to read in dark room. Volume knob is great Synapse APP is not easy to learn to use. Overall very nice keyboard, specially at 90 bucks off retail
Bob123 –
I purchased this for my grandson who is a gamer. I was assisted by the guys at the computer section because I really did not know what was the best Keyboard for my grandsons computer. Well, great advice was given so I bought it. Christmas morning he opened it and was extremely happy. This was even better than the one he thought he wanted. I was also happy to make this happen for him, and did so only because of the great help I received at the store.
Hugo R. –
Easy to use and type. The wristpad is very helpful and keeps me comfortably using the keyboard for hours at a time. Extra USB port on the side helps whenever I need to attach anything else. Would reccomend this product to anyone looking for a great mechanical gaming keyboard.
kmalerich –
I bought another brand of high end mech key board about a year ago and the PoJ disintigrated in about 6 months and I wasnt even using it for gaming. I have a Razer mouse and it has been great for 2 years so I am hoping the quality carries through to the keyboard. Apparently there are three versions of this. This has the noisy clicky keys which are somewhat annoying. I might have prefered the silent ones. Oh well. This has a ton of macro functions that I will never use. I like the smaller footprint which fits my sliding keyboard tray better and the volume wheel and other switches are excellent. The one thing I dont like is the small secondary key functions arent lighted so you almost cant see them, especially if the key lights are bright.
Awesome –
Its pink. Its made by razer. Ladies go buy the dang thing. It works great for the female community of gamers. My only complaint is this sucker is SUPERRRRRR NOISSYYYYY. My fiance lovezz annoying me.
Marc –
Amazing keyboard with a nice set of additional features. The keys are very responsive and have quality RGB lighting underneath. The keyboard features USB and Audio pass through. I use mine to have my wireless mouse dongle easily accessible. I highly recommend this keyboard if you are looking for a reliable gaming peripheral.
Anonymous –
Im impressed with the responsiveness of this keyboard. The magnetic wrist wrest that comes with it is very comfortable and seems well made. The rgb effects are pleasant and easy to configure using Razers software. As far as sound goes, it is just clicky enough but could be irritating to those around without earmuffs. Of course, thats subjective.
Collin –
The razer software that is required for it to work properly is very glitchy and can cause certain games to not work correctly. I also have an issue with razers manufacture warranty. It says its two years but they will not replace it without proof that it was broken when you bought it. I spilled soda on mine while I had an issue on the keyboard and they blamed me for it no longer working. if all else fails try Walmarts protection plan. The wrist rest is nice and comfy and the clicks when it is new is very responsive. the only issue I have with it is the audio mixer control on it.
WWEfan2222 –
Got this for my daughter for Christmas. Lasted about 6 months now it cant stay connected and keeps bouncing in and out of functionality. Same thing is happening with the Razer headset we got. Have been looking fortrying fixes for months and nothing is working. Will not buy Razer products again. All flash, poor function.
Quartz –
The Razer mechanical keyboard is very good. Its solid and it types very well. Im very glad I bought this. Also, the wrist rest isnt rubber, so keep that in mind.
NECHROMAA –
One of the better mechanical keyboard you can get without building one yourself, im not a big razer fan since half the products Ive gotten have been faulty right out of the box, so ive had to exchange or get a refund never buy directly from razer, youll regret it if you get a faulty product and need to go through their customer service overall, my only complaint with this keyboard and all of razer keyboards their stabilizers are garbage, ive never heard a space at rattle so much in my life. Other than that, pretty decent keyboard for the price
Anthony1516 –
Just decided to get a gaming pcprebuilt, dont judge lol and was looking for some cool rgb keyboards that also have great functionality to go with it. after talking to a few of my pc friends and youtube reviews,i went with this keyboard. very click and mechanical sounding and i love it. theres also the razer app you install on your desktop that allows you to configure the lights in basically any you want. its so cool. the keyboard feels very sturdy and the top part is constructed of metal so theres no color bleeding through the plastic for a cleaner look. its a little expensive but if you have the coins to get one i recommend it.
denz –
Been using it for a little over a week and I love it, the keys are very responsive it is noisy but you expect that from a mechanical keyboard. The color options are fun to play with as well, that is a bonus as I just needed a good daily keyboard and this is that and then some.
Jason –
I bought the pink version of this for my daughter. It looks like its made of plastic at first glance but the top part of the keyboard is made of aluminium and it doesnt look as metallic as it does in the pictures. It do think that it is an awesome keyboard and the keys feel amazing to type on.
Aaron –
Very well built. Its definitely a heavier keyboard but I love it. The sound when you type is so satisfying too. I highly recommend this keyboard if youre looking for a RGB keyboard.
Momof3 –
My kiddo absolutely LOVES this keyboard i got him. A very cool feature is the multiple light settings where you can switch up the light and frequency of color transitions. He also loves the way it sounds when he hits the keys and loves how it feels

This keyboard is garbage. Its so expensive and wont stop key spamming and disconnecting. I dont know what else I can possibly do but man am I disappointed in the Razer name. I bought multiple products and have had issues with all of them. Its connected to the proper USB, all updates are there, Ive tried multiple troubleshooting steps. I do see some of these posts about the hoops you have to jump through to fix this issue and thats absolutely ridiculous. For 140tax, I should be able to plug this thing in anywhere and it works absolutely perfect. Razer got the lock on pink products though, should have just bought an amazon bootleg for 40 bucks. But here I am, attempting to fix the keyboard…once again.
ANGELO –
Bought this keyboard mostly because I wanted to type on a mechanical keyboard and Id bought knockoffs before and they are not what I wanted them to be, so I finally went for it and I bought the Chroma Ornata not the Blackwidow Elite, yet and that keyboard was 100 and super nice and bright colors, with some onboard control over multimedia. Then I noticed the Blackwidow was on sale and I traded the Ornata for it. Both keyboards feel great, but I wanted to raised keys more than the flat, and the volume and play ff rr buttons on the blackwidow are certain upgrades. Great keyboard, Im sure if I was using it at its full capacity gaming instead of my office managing peoples financials, it would render even more results but in this case, I bought it to make my daily grind a little more inspirational.
Brainpry –
Awesome keyboard, love the color and love the super loud clicking noises. That said, the color options really suck. You can only choose between like 10 different options which really sucks, but the keyboard itself is amazing.
NewbieEnthusiast –
Tactile and has a great audible click I dont recommend late night key smashing games. RGB is incredibly clean and fun to use. Theres per key lighting and the media controls are intuitive and work flawlessly. Included wrist rest is hard plastic, but I dont have any complaints.Need to use Razer Synapse and the Chroma addon. The software is pretty selfexplanatory once you mess around a bit.
Sireana –
Really good quality keyboard My only qualm is that its pretty loud. It wasnt advertised to be as clicky as the huntsman but its just as loud. Otherwise, fantastic keyboard.
Sophia –
Had the original razer blackwidow rgb when it was still fresh, used it for years and loved it. After 6 years it still kicks, but a few keys get stuck from time to time and the A key lost half the rgb spectrum. So decided to splurge on this new model and still love it. Major differences, build quality went from bulky tough plastic to lean aluminum, you get a memory foam wrist wrest thats magnetic, usb port is on the left side and isnt upside down anymore, audio passthrough might be diff i forgot it was there, and the loss of 5 macro keys for media keysvolume dial. Frankly build quality feels alot nicer, just having new switches feels like a dream again, razer green is clicky and tactile which is what i love but be warned they are loud. Aluminum frame has the entire board feel stronger and sturdier when typing hard, the smaller size of this full size keyboard is also really nice, as I love extra space but still need a numpad. could ramble on but 1010 keyboard but synapse still sucks.
Glen –
Pros Great product. Works excellently and great for typing on while home working while being great for gaming as well. Very happy with it.
Fernando –
Feels like a real professional gaming keyboard. A bit loud and the resting area seems a bit cheap its not attachable, but over all a great buy. Youll find yourself mistyping a lot less.
Phinehas –
I have the Razer Blackwidow Elite with green switches at home and really like it, so when I started looking to get a nice mechanical keyboard for the office, another Blackwidow seemed like a natural choice. I was having difficulty finding the Elite with green switches, though, so decided to go with the similarly priced V3. I am now regretting my choice.Compared to the Elite, the V3 just feels…cheap. Very cheap. Instead of the smooth hard plastic keys on the Elite, the V3 has a softer, textured plastic that would feel more appropriate on a childs toy. Although both keyboards are supposed to have the same green switches and maybe they do, the experience of typing on the two keyboards doesnt feel the same. The Elite has the clicky responsiveness I like, but the V3 doesnt give the same tactile feeling. When typing on the V3, I cant get past the hollow, cheap noise and feeling of the lowgrade plastic. In the pictures, it may look like the V3 has the same sort of comfortable, leatherwrapped pleatherwrapped foam wrist rest that came with my Elite, but it doesnt. It is just plastic. The same cheap plastic as the rest of the V3, with the same cheap hollow plastic noise. It still has pretty lights that I dont particularly care about that you have to use Synapse that I dont particularly like to manage constantly unless you are happy with the default polling through the colors that I also dont particularly like.Im very disappointed with the overall build quality for this keyboard and will be returning it to Best Buy. If I cant find another Elite, I will probably opt for one of the other brands over Razer.
ALaDell –
Absolutely love the tactile feel of this keyboard. And the wrist rest helps so much. Looks amazing with the RGB which is super easy to set up and customize.
Nataku4ca –
Quite a few years back I bought a Blackwidow keyboard and wasnt impressed. That was the laptop keyboard like membrane keyboard days. I was a bit afraid of Razer products since, but decided to give it a try a good 8 years or so later, and Im impressed this time. I actually enjoy typing and have not needed to adjust to this new keyboard much. It just felt right and I have not missed type as much as I used to with some of the other keyboards Ive worked withThere were some reviews that the keyboard is too loud. I feel like thats over stated, it is a clicky keyboard, but the sound is actually a bit softer than the old mechanical keyboard I had in the 90s. It should be an issue for most users as far as I can tell. It does say its a keyboard with noise so I wouldnt have this in the bedroom if someone else is sleeping in there. I mean, you bought this keyboard knowing its going to make sound going in, so…The RGB lighting is actually alot more configurable than I expected, which was great.
RandyMc –
I wanted to keyboard with a back light on it. So this razor one was more than perfect. The multi colors will shift from left to right up and down. You can customize the colors and controls on the raiser website. Better than I thought. I also like the way the keys made noise when you hit them.
Kenevitable –
Love the way it clicks. Very fast and responsive. Terrible price though. Lets be honest they shouldve put lasers under keys back when they replaced trackerballs with them. RGB is cool but were being ripped off.
Emjay –
Daughter loves this keyboard. Can be coded to change colors. Keys make a very clear click sound when typing. She loves it
Joseph –
Pros Great product just not really compatible with Mac OSCons It only just works with Mac OS as you cant download the software to customise it. As a gaming keyboard thats not good. There are work arounds but it does not work to its full spec. Advertise it properly.
Emma –
within a year and a half the keys were already coming off easily. I learned this while playing several games when the w key kept coming off. I am nice to my keyboards so it doesnt make sense that it would already be failing. On top of that, the profile system is not intuitive at all. Instead of everything being saved to your device for in product profile changing, you would only be able to save the key changes, if you wanted your keyboard to have custom colors, you would need to connect it to the internet. YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE COLOR WITH PROFILES. this got to me, I couldnt save color presets and anytime I tried to change profile and change the colors, I had to learn the hard way that they are seen as separate systems and I do not for the life of me understand that. my reccomendation DO NOT BUY THIS KEYBOARD. you can get much cheaper and better built ones that dont just have a designer logo on it, being its only qualifying feature.
Taylor –
Love this keyboard, the scrolling while is super convenient for volume. Synapse is simple enough to use. I havent had any issues and I dont really care that I have to sign up with email and download an app to change the lighting. Only complaint I have is that the wrist rest just sits up against the keyboard. Its not magnetized or anything like that. It doesnt slide away or around or anything, I just think that added security would be nice. The rest is entirely texturized plastic not faux leather or cushion or anything, so if you have accessibility issues with your wrists or hands and need extra cushioning you might want to use something softer besides that.
Sunshine –
Ive been wanting a rose quartz keyboard from razor and I finally got it. It has a nice, smooth touch. Im very picky about my keyboard sound, and this keyboard over exceeded my expectations. I love how it comes with a wrist rest, its been very helpful and comfortable. I recommend this keyboard to anyone who is a gamer or just lover for keyboards like me
Fusionfx –
Yellow switches feel great like cherry mx red. Keys are elevated and not recessed like the chroma v2, but doesnt feel much different. The RGB lighting is more subtle than the chroma v2 as the v2 has a white base in the recessed area to help reflect the RGB. Great addition of the media keys. Stabilizers feel great in mine. Onboard memory only stores macrokey alterations and basic lighting schemes. Advance chroma lighting requires the synapse 3 software. Special characters across numbers keys are still standard Razer painted on, only the numbers have RGB showing through. No macro keys like the v2. Cons are minor in my opinion overall great product from my experience
AlexGrnk –
This is a good keyboard, the mechanic key sound and feel good if you are into this type of keyboard.Hand rest is pretty bad and does not have a magnetic attachment as some other razer keyboard.Personally I believe is a bit expensive compared with some other keyboard in the market.Razer chroma is an amazing tool that allows you to customize several keyboard patterns and set them for specific games.
Anonymous –
Pros The keyboard is 1010 for coders, Im not a pro gamer but ticks 110 all my boxes. I previously had the wireless version and I had to return it twice, this one did the trick.
Paigelworkheiser –
wonderful. I love this item to death. a little salty that the arm rest is a hard plastic, and it also doesnt magnet to the keyboard like the old version. The razor symbol also doesnt light up like the older version. those are big cons, and kind of down grades for a newer version in my opinion. Thats why I put 4 stars instead of 5. other than that, I love the color and the clickyness.
BlackwidowV3 –
The build materials are very good. Solid construction great keys. However, the status LEDs are not designed very well. They are distracting, bleed over from one light to another no light barrier between them and there is no provision for dimming. I cannot imagine how this passed QA. The below URL shows a comment from another user that perfectly illustrates the problem. The only fix for this issue is for a user to physically alter the keyboard. This could easily be a 5star rating but for the glaring defect. Its like purchasing a great car but the only problem is that the high beams are always on…So deal with it. And to add insult to injury, the support was basically chatting with a bot. So a 2star is the highest I can go with this product.httpswww.reddit.comrrazercommentsfzw5b9blackwidowseliteledindicatorstoobright
Nicholas –
Love this keyboard. It types great and is comfortable. Software is a little clunky to work with and I do wish that it would remember my lighting profile when the computer is asleep. Or that I could easily set a generic one that isnt the color change one. But honestly its a super item.
KatjeVoo –
Although we got this keyboard at a substantial discount, I would have paid full price for it. The keypress response time is so good, that it helps reduce my lag for online games. The macro feature works even with many games that have antimacro features built. The LED lighting schemes are easy to access and fun to use, although most are not very practical.
Mark –
The Razer Huntsman Elite and the Razer BlackWidow Elite are very similar in terms of build, comfort, and extra features. The biggest differences are that the BlackWidow Elite has a USB passthrough, and the Razer Orange switches provide a much better typing experience than the Linear Optical switches on our unit of the Huntsman Elite.
wxforecaster –
Super loud and clicky. Just the way I like it Love the RGB customization too. Great ergonomics. Not sure if it fell off a truck at this price, but it was new in box and works perfectly
JohnLong –
Excellent keyboard. Have always used Corsair, but wanted to give Razer a shot. Great keyboard that is extremely comfortable and easy to use. Keys arent too loud.
A Google User –
Absolutely amazing keyboard. Ive purchased the version with the Green mechanical switches that are tactile and clicky. Lovely to type with, very accurate and extremely satisfying to use. The build quality of the keyboard is extremely good, and the Razer software is excellent.
rxk001 –
I like this keyboard but HATE software. You CAN NOT save color scheme on onboard memory. Got official response from Razer. You have to have software on to use own light effects.I am considering to return it just because of horrible software.
Xaki –
Clicks nice and loud. Amazing RGB lights and effects. Easy to clean. Great quality product here as expected from Razer. Nice jobIll be getting her the pink headphones next
sunburntbutterfly –
Love this keyboard. The keys make a clicking sound which I wanted, the lights are fully customizable if you download the app for it. The wrist rest is detachable if you dont want to use it. I play mmorpgs and do some writing and graphic work of my own and this keyboard is amazing for everything
Zach –
Coming from the black widow ultimate version of this keyboard, I have to say I like this version much better. The keys have a nice tactile feel and have a nice clickity clack while not being annoying. The RGB lighting is awesome and very customizable in the razer synapse program. Wrist rest is rather nice, but would have preferred a cushion rather than a solid piece of plastic. However the plastic works just fine preventing my wrist from hurting from constant use unlike the regular black widow ultimate version. All in all i would consider this a great buy.
Raquel –
Pros The quality of this keyboard is so amazing I love that I can personalise the colors, the effects, and I do love the rest bar that comes included Amazing.Cons I love everything in my new keyboard
Jrivera999 –
Very clicky and tactile but loud. I wouldnt reccomend it if you play with friends without any noise suppresion. I love how clicky it is for rhytm games but games like fortnite and forza would rather have a slightly more quiet keyboard
dairy –
I love this keyboard The clicks are extremely loud and satisfying to hear, as well as the lights With each keystroke, I send a crescendo of color across my keys. I would 100 recommend this keyboard, especially because it comes with an ergonomic wrist bar
audionerd –
So pricy, and the wrist pad is hard plastic I thought it was comfy leather. Returned immediately. Super clicky keys if youre into that.
DankBonkripper –
A mechanical keyboard, with an aluminum frame. Its super clicky, which means you can annoy people in VC. One thing to note, the wrist rest is not attached and doesnt attach. The manual says to only align it with the keyboard.
Elizabeth –
Pros Granddaughter wanted this keyboard for her gaming computer as she wanted a mechanical keyboard. She loves that she can change the coloursCons No
Treasurewhatuhav –
Had to study the functions a bit through utube to unlock beautiful profiles, after that there was no turning back. I thought I was too old for this RGB fun but no, it is throughly satisfying. I got yellow switches as I type is quick bursts of ideas that flow into my fingers for work. Types exactly like a smartphone responsive and linear.
patdude –
it feels kind of cheap, light plastic body, bleeding on the keys where it lights up which makes it feel kind of cheap, feel of the keys is not great, but is okay for the price. Wish the wrist rest was secured to the board somehow so it is more stable. Bought it for my wife because it was pink and cute could be better.Returned in favor of a better keyboard and custom keys. slightly more expensive but happier with it overall.
Dean –
I have been using it for three months and recently some issues start to happen when I press a key and release it, sometimes the release will not be recorded. For example, if I press s and release it, it will be like sssssssss… It will only stop if I press another key. This happens randomly and is not on a specific key. Its really annoying and Im disappointed about this keyboards quality.
Alltech –
Purchased the keyboard when it was on sale and got a major steal. The quality of the keyboard is excellent. It has a tactical, premium feel and was worth every dollar
Rallas B. –
Replaced a 2002 Microsoft Office 102 keyboard ok, I know ancient with the Razor. Great choice. Game play and responsiveness means that this is a different experience. Nice feel on the keys under your fingers and great action on keypress. Synapse software from Razor means that the matching Razor Deathadder mouse is all synced up. Nice.
Devin –
Keyboard itself is amazing, but this is a USED LIKE NEW product and I could definitely tell. The packaging was super cheap, the keys were all over the place, and the volume rocker did not swivel properly. Cant believe they say no where on this page that they are selling a used product.
Dora M –
Although I absolutely love the Quartz collection and Razer in general, Microcenter has got me fvcked up. They sold me a used keyboard for a brand new retail price with damages. Will be limiting my business with them to bare necessities GPU, if available. Save your money for your purchase in the Razer website directly.
Karsen –
This keyboard is beautiful and well worth the money. I debated for a long time on getting it and Im so glad I did. It is certainly loud but when I have my headset on I cant hear it. I love it so much and highly recommend it.
MomO1 –
The girls who assisted me when I went to pick up my order at the 5th ave location where extremely nice and helpful. However, for the price I would have just gotten the keyboard without the arm rest. Arm rest doesnt latch on which I thought it did. Its just there to sit in front of the keyboard which sux cause its not useful. If I would have known, I would have just gotten the keyboard without the arm rest and saved 40. Overall my kid is happy wpurchase and click sounds.
Will –
Pros Amazing keyboard, Actually shocked at the difference between my older 2013 blackwidow. My typings quicker, finding keys easier and the added convenience of the volume and media buttons is a gemCons However, when I lock my pc the lighting is forgotten and goes back to the normal chroma effect although I have already got over this it just bugs me that little bit
Jango –
The keyboard is nice. It works well. It is definitely loud. And the chroma effects should have more basic features. It feels like you have to get really advanced to get a color schematic that is basic. Some easy templates Preinstalled would be wonderful
Joe –
For the most part, the keyboard is great. I enjoy the keys, the RGB lighting is vibranteven though I dont really care much about it and the wrist rest is REALLY nice. The only gripes I have with the keyboard are followingBuild quality. I have a keyboard tray that my keyboard rests and my cat knocked the keyboard off and it fell just under two feet onto a heavily carpeted floor, and the plastic corner of the keyboard snapped off. It wasnt a large piece, but its alarming that a fall from such a small height onto a really soft carpeted floor caused the plastic to break off.
Darkness –
Great keyboard. Only problem so far is the synapse software is really buggy. Had to uninstall for the keyboard to work. May need to roll back driver update. Other than that its great.
bbfanboi –
Got this for girlfriends bday present and she absolutely loves it. I got it at full price and there has been some sales after i bought but not too butt hurt about it. Its 100 worth paying original MSRP. One of the very few Pink keyboard out there with good quality from a big brand.
ItsKennedy –
Honestly razer could do a lot better. I switched to from a black widow chroma to the v3 and its horrible, the keyboard is litreally cheap plastic quality. The only thing I liked about the keyboard was the rgb and the sound of the green switches. I switched back to my old black widow chroma without a second thought. i guess im just use to the black widow chroma
Ginny –
I love everything about this keyboard. The mechanical clicks are perfect, the lighting is customizable, and the volumemusic control is effortless and really allows me to adjust the volume in a meeting or pause a song to take a call without even thinking.
Treasurewhatuhav –
Razer Blackwidow Elite Green switches were selling for under 90, which is nearly 50 cheaper than the yellow switches so I bought one to compare with yellow switches. I really didnt mind the sound at first, but after about three days it was clear yellow was a lot less distracting to type 90 wpm, so I gifted the green switches haha. Sure there are more typos but nothing practice wont overcome. Besides, sloppy typing is the only excuse to typos even on yellow switches, they actuate extremely shallow but it isnt enough to activate just by feeling the keyboard If you have no issue typing on smartphones, yellow switches will give you the same quiet, consistent and linear response. Not tried orange switches but I get the point really, who needs haptic feedback for typing these days
OVOYorge –
I had a Razer with chicklet keys before. After reviews, the orange keys seemed best to me. Micro center had these out for display where I was able to play with the feedback of the keyboard. It feels super great. A great combo for me between the clicky key from green switches and the silent yellow keys. This one feels great on the response and is not annoying either. Very well put together keyboard as well
Daniel L –
My girlfriend just started her own PC set up and absolutely LOVES her keyboard. Its the right amount of reactivity and clickyness. She takes advantage of all of the features like the ability to completely customized her RGB effects. She sat there for hours making sure she had it how she liked it. Overall, a great and reliable product.
Larry –
Im going to give it 5 stars. I will say, and its just the silly me looking for perfection no such thing, the spacebar is off by a hair on the right. It is not perfectly balanced. I could be wrong. My old eyes deceiving me and all, but it appears, by a hair, that it is higher on the right than on the left. As for loud, I dont care. I want to hear the keyboard because it is mechanical. I have read where the spacebar is supposedly loud. And again, okay. There is a big argument about the wrist rest not being magnetic and no cushion. All true. But that is subjective. As with any new product, you will get used to it. The lighting is not as bright as it is claimed to be in reviews online. Stop listening to reviews. As with anything in life, you have to try it. Overall for me, and I am not a gamer, thankfully, this thing is solid and feels great to type on. The keys having a texturelike feel to them make it so that you wont see any oils from your fingers. I got the thing, with tax, for less than 100 bucks. Come on.
tyler.w –
I have been using this product for about two weeks now. I feel that this keyboard has a nice tacky feel when keys are pressed., and is not very loud. I feel that this keyboard is perfect in every way, and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a Razer keyboard.
FantasyFan –
now that i have been working remotely for over a year now my old keyboard died. I grabbed this as a replacement to that and get some added features. I already had a Razer mouse. they two work VERY well together and the colors syncd automatically and the software picked up the addition also. the key click is a little louder that the demo keyboard in the store so on conference calls its important to mute when i do a lot of typing, when possible.
Jeffrey H –
This is a wonderful keyboard that looks very good and makes good use of its space. The extra scroll wheel and media buttons at the top of the keyboard are a very nice touch, and of course, the quartz color is just stunning.
Timothy –
This is easily the best keyboard for anyone, whether youre gaming or typing a paper, this keyboard makes everything better. The build quality is sturdy enough to endure even the roughest gaming sessions, and the RGB lighting paired with the Razer Synapse software makes this keyboard as beautiful as you can imagine, literally. From the multimedia keys, the outstanding build quality, RGB lighting, to the famous Razer switches, this keyboard will be the last youll ever need to buy.

Love Love Love It matches my aesthetic. I love that it is mechanical and it has some weight to it. The arm rest is a plus and I love using it to play Elder Scrolls, Sims, etc.
LordRaider –
Great keyboard, I really like the clicky mechanical feel to it, it can be a little loud but I dont mind it. Please keep that in mind in case you are looking for a more silent version.
HYYYPPPERRR –
Excellent keyboard with feel and sound. Only gripe I have is that there is no nub on the W key to let you know where your left hand is, which is why I give the keyboard 4 out of 5. Otherwise this is an excellent purchase.
1loudsvt –
Bought this keyboard for my weeb neet wife, its pretty cool. The rgb shines bright however not nearly as bright as the electric pink color of this board. The color optimizations are wonderful and incredibly distracting even from outside the house this thing lights up the room like molly at a rave. As far as performance goes, I cannot say as key response time isnt much of an issue on visual novel games. Also its 100 backed by onlyfans, or at least I see every user have one
Disappointedstepdad –
I like it, it feels nice. I just wish best buy actually carried more then one type of keyboard this one has the green switches so its super loud but feels amazing razer has a yellow switch edition and its so much more quiet.
KaliChill –
I remember not too long ago, the craze that were gaming mechanical keyboards, especially from Razer. Mechanical keyboards themselves were long established, this movement was like Beats By Dre making everyone interested in a hobby they had no clue existed. The early versions of the Blackwidow were pretty terrible. The keys themselves were cherry mx blues, and were great, but everything else wasnt. It was full of problems, double registering, buggy software and overall a lack of polish. Undoubtedly, this keyboard sold well, and sales meant they were able to make a better product. A whole lot of revisions later, we have the v3.The v3 I have to say is where Razer finally got everything right. First, the chassis has metal plate that is matte, good for greasy hands. The keys themselves are Razers own green switches, a copycat of the Cherry MX blues, and have been refined over the years. Some people consider the blues to have a sharp sound, and the Razer greens have a slightly subdued but solid click. Extremely satisfying to type on, and no doubt will be the centerpiece of many asmr youtube channels. The rgb is controlled through software, and the options are endless. I could get all my Razer stuff synced together, so the lights move in unison. The font on the letters has moved away from the really edgy and childish look, and matured. Easy to read, nothing to complain about. The wrist rest is garbage, but Im not a guy that uses them. Its a plastic slab, not even rubber to pad it.Includes a volume knob and a button for playpauseskip… it works.Only thing missing I would say are the function keys on the side. You had to set those up through software, and no one I know actually used them, so I guess Razer just dumped them altogether. Combinations can still be programmed in the software, so the feature is not completely gone.Overall, a solid winner from Razer. Im not totally sold on contactless switches yet, so for now these green switches are for me. A beautiful feel and sound when typing, finally worth the hype
Elmerante –
Loud and tactile, and the RGBs are bright. Overall happy with this purchase but do not get this keyboard if you get annoyed easily because each keystroke will drive you closer to insanity. Be warned Razer Green Switches are super loud. But I love it.
Tsweazea –
Excellent keyboard. Best Ive ever owned. I like the tactile click. Lighting is awesome. I like that the keybord software includes game profiles for my favorite games. Its very sweet
Ram92 –
Bought this for my girlfriend and I want one The keyboard is very responsive, the keypads are perfect. The padding is very comfortable and the RBG is awesome as well
Stacie –
Pros Looks amazing, feels smooth to type on. The volume scroll wheel is super useful. Being able to customise RGB backlights is a really nice feature. Razer have done well yet againCons I think its a little loud when I start using it but after a few minutes you get used to it
OmegaSOAR –
My brother bought the v2 and i saw this one and had to have it. I live the quality and because it clicks i can tell when Ive hit too many keys. The positive engagement of each keystroke is amazing.

I upgraded to this from my Blackwidow Ultimate 2014 keyboard. Im not a massive PC gamer, but I use my keyboard at least 50 hours a week mostly for work and I liked the look and feel of my Ultimate until I broke a key cleaning it…, so I thought Id give this a go. The keystrokes feel really familiar, making the transition between the two pretty seamless, but there are a couple of extras on this Elite keyboard that Im really liking. With the Ultimate, you had to remove the keys to get at dustdebris because they were set into a… Pit, I guess Like a traditional keyboard. And, man, did it gather a bunch of crap over its 5 years of use. The keys on this Elite are set on top of the keyboard though, which allows dust to be blown out really easily or swiped through with a cotton bud without the need for taking the keys apart. The media keys are great. Its so much nicer than having to FNF3F4 to adjust volume, and having the ability to pauseresumemuteskip just a button press away is really handy. The click button press of each of these keys is really satisfying, and the dial turns smoothly with gentle clicking feedback. The quality of it all is excellent. The colours are a wee bit gimmicky but kinda fun. My young kids like hitting a key and having it ripple out, and playing around with the Chroma studio is kinda fun at first. I did notice that the React where you press a key and just that key lights up and Ripple where the lights ripple out from your key press effects you can add seem to stop working after a little while. Whereas effects like Flames and Static stick around pretty consistently. Probably a problem with the software rather than the keyboard. The sleep setting for the LEDs which Ive set to 10mins seems to work consistently and reliably. On the software too I hooked up my Hue lights using Razer Synapse to see what it did, but Im not sure what the purpose is. All it seemed to do was lock the lights in the area out from the rest of my home automation system, so I disabled that pretty quickly. The wrist rest is really nice, having not used one for years it actually feels excellent on my wristshands. One tiny niggle with it is that sometimes it pushes up underneath the bottom row of keys, making it impossible to press them and you dont notice until you go to press one. Otherwise, its sturdy, and the magnet system connects it to the keyboard nicely. In terms of the structurebuild of the keyboard, it gets a big tick from me. The USB port actually takes a bit of force to get the USB into it, and it really clings on tightly which I guess is for gaming where you wouldnt want whatever is plugged in to rip out accidentally. The USB port is on the opposite left side of the keyboard compared to my old Ultimate which took a small amount of adjustment but doesnt bother me. The keyboard itself is quite hefty, it has a really solid weight to it and feels like it could take a battering. The kickstands underneath are a massive improvement on the Ultimate I found the Ultimate would quite easily collapse if you tried to shift the keyboard forward, but the Elite has a lot more resistance to it and slides across the desk nicely. I havent tried out the audio passthrough I use Bluetooth headphones, so I cant comment on that. The cables for the keyboard are braided as the Ultimate was and really solid feeling, theres a small routing hole for them to tuck through underneath, as well as a rubber clip tie to tidy up the length a bit. The USB plugs at the end of the cables there are two one for the keyboard, one for the passthrough port have green accents in them which is a nice touch, but otherwise, are pretty standard. I would recommend this keyboard. I think the software could do with some improving, but overall Im really stoked with this purchase.
YungKiryu2002 –
This keyboard feels great and is comfortable to use. It sounds very fine and is good for competitive play as well. There are a wide variety of customization options, which I find to be my favorite part of the keyboard aside from the feel.
Sunshine –
Im severely disappointed. My husband has and older version of the black, blackwidow and although its not the v3 I was expecting similar quality. The media scroll is great and the keyboard itself is up to par, however the reason I chose this model over the huntsman was the wristrest, because I get carpel tunnel real bad. I was expecting what was shown on the box and images the wrist rest to have a convex form, that is ergonomic but instead I got a flat piece of plastic that is not ergonomic at all. Its not going to prevent carpel tunnel. I was fooled into buying this and will think twice before buying razed again. This makes me wonder if razed doesnt take its pink loving base seriously.
Trippyleboom –
Its nicely built and put together. Ive been a razer customer for awhile now but I do wish it came with the bottom part that detaches as a cushion instead of plastic like the older black widow keyboards. Aside from that which is just personal preference, solid keyboard for all your gaming needs perfect for intensefaster paced shooters and competitive games

Super cute and the colors are so bright and fun I love the feeling of the actual keyboard itself. I do not like the wrist rest it comes with. The wrist rest is hard plastic with no padding. Previous keyboards Ive used have had padded wrist rests which I personally preferred. Also, the wrist rest does not have anyway of connecting to the keyboard itself, it just sits next to it. I used a small command strip to keep mine together because it would fall or move so frequently.

Well built. Can work totally in the dark because of the lit key board.Dont have to replace it every year like Logitec junk because the letters wore off.The key strokes are quite loud because this keyboard is on an aluminum frame. It is for gaming so I guess that is what gamers like. Im NOT a gamer . I just wanted a quality key board. I can live with the noise,

So ive previously owned the OG blackwidow V2 versions. unfortunately the V2 had a spacebar problem and got refunded. with no replacement available and other places having the keyboard more then i brought it for i came across the Blackwidow Elite. with no side macros buttons i thought this wasnt the keyboard for me. i was wrong in so many ways ive used this for 1 2 days and already im 1000 happier then i was with the V2. its smaller one problem i had with the V2 its alot more heavier because of the military grade metal top and doesnt have the plastic look the V2 had. which made finger marks way more visible . Overall its an upgrade i thought i didnt want or need. but once i got my hands on it i knew it was the keyboard i needed. 1010 would recommend if you are coming from a blackwidow v2 or the og one.

This keyboard looks very nice in the dark and the colors are adjustable, my 12 year old daughter loves it. Functional features is that all keys are extremely easy to push so when I typed on it I was able to feel the difference from the rest. It works great for gaming.

Overall I enjoy the keyboard. Its very ckicky and the colors are sharp. The only downside I see is some keys like the enter key are not fully illuminated on parts of the letters and that bothers me if Im looking close.

Great gaming key board. Its accurate and love using it. The o my complaint is the keys are loud when I klick on them to others around me but I have my headphones on and I can barely hear them. Enhanced my online gaming experience.

If youre into a very clicky keyboard, this is for you. My son and I spent a lot of time going through various keyboard options and landed on this one. He loves it responsive and clicky and the backlit keys are great.

The response time and the ilumination are awesome, the keys has a perfect font and size. The media keys are great too. The wrist rest its fine, but could be better, had some troubles trying to fit my hands to the keys with the wrist rest

This product is exactly as advertised on the razer website. Sturdy design, good connectivity with usb and audio on the side of the keyboard, comfortable wristrest held on with magnets, and the rgb is very bright. Am buying the version with yellow switches for a friend for christmas.

New to the PC world, the keyboard is awesome and feels great. The only part Im still getting used to is how tall the keys are but other than that its awesome

Bought this as a gift for a nongamer, because she loved the pink color, the Chroma, and the feel and sound of the Greens. She uses it at work fortunately, in a private office and its proven to be a great conversation starter, and a solid keyboard.

I love this keyboard. I got it as an upgrade from the blackwidow 2016. I love the wrist cushion, its comfortable and sleek. The media controls are perfect for me as my speakers require a lot of reaching to access. I find myself using the media keys often. The feel of typing on this keyboard is gratifying. The light are an added bonus. Over very impressed with this keyboard visually and physically.

A solid keyboard, very nice switches, awesome for gaming and typing. I got the orange switches which are nice and non noisy for being mechanical switches. The RGB is secondary for me but still love how it looks. Overall its good for the price and recommend if you like mechanical keyboards ,the black widow elite does the job for me.

Pros It works. It may not be cherry but its good enough. Built well for the price, worth the full amount No..Cons Razer tax is like apple tax. Difference is that apples product quality and quality control are far superior. Back to school razer. Sell to your standards rather than trying to sell to others. If you want to be a marketing company.. well.. apple still do it better.

Keyboard is great nice sensitivity feel to the keys Very easy to read and bright RGB.Software is a little hard to install. Had to uninstall and reinstall for it to work.Keyboard has a very easy to install wrist pad. Just place in front of keyboard

The wife loves the look. I was impressed with the green switches response and click. Its a noisy keyboard which I like, even the slightest touch will pop when the keys are pressed. Great for gaming, you know when your spell or shot keys are hit.The RGB options are great. The Razer Synapse software is intuitive, takes a little bit to get used to. You can sync color options with all the other Razer products. Looks awesome with the Kitty Ears, Mouse and Headphone stand all synced together.I will add that I think its a little ridiculous to markup the pink products, when the black colored same products are significantly cheaper. Just an opinion though, it made the wife happy so it was worth the extra cost.

Great keyboard. I had an older black widow that finally died on me after 56 years and this one is off to a great start. Keyboard does exactly what I need it to do and all the effects are fun and functioning. Great buy

I had my eye on this keyboard for awhile now and I caught it on sale for good price It sounds nice, looks nice and I love it overall. The only thing Im not too happy with is that it comes with a nonmagnetic hard plastic wrist rest.

This is my second razer product and I will be buying razer from now on. They make quality products that have great warranties. Software is easy to use and works great as long as you are connected to the internet. Keyboard is mechanical but not really loud, its not clicky.im very happy with my purchase.

The Blackwidow Elite makes computer gaming even better. The installation of the keyboard is super quick and easy. The board has many shortcut keys on the fly macro recording has been my favorite to date. Also, I love that you can turn off the keys to avoid them accidentally being pressed while in the game. The lighting effects of the keys are amazing. I havent had time to go in and configure my own effects, but I love that this is an option. The keyboard also comes with a wrist rest, which is very comfortable and was a nice surprise when I opened the product. Highly, highly suggest

Absolutely amazing keyboard. Perfectly built to last and survive even the roughest gaming sessions. The Razer Synapse software is easy and simple to use, and the customization of the RGB lighting is insane and beautiful in every way. The multimedia keys, RGB lighting, build quality, and infamous Razer switches are well worth the investment for what is definitively the best keyboard there is.

I had been wanting a girly keyboard for a while and finally splurged and got the Razer Blackwidow V3 in Pink. Its really solid, does not slide when I am typing or playing games. The customizable light patterns is really fun, i like to have it change with the music. Its really an 1110 for me.

Excellent quality keyboard. I have a very heavy handed son who has been through 3 keyboards in 2 years and this is his favourite to date. The yellow keys are firm but responsive and not clacky at all. Easy to get going and program his individual key setups. The included wrist rest is very comfortable and he loves that it is magnetic and can be placed where he wants it worth the extra money.

I purchased on sale for under 100 and it exceeds my expectations for quality and performance. It is amazing for productivity and my main reason for purchasing, gaming. Tactile and Clicky switches Razer Green, were not my first choice, but I struggled finding a good deal on a tactile and silent keyboard. I prefer have the feedback while typing. I do not regret going with the Blackwidow V3 and i will definitely purchase again if the need arises. The only thing I feel necessary to mention is how loud Razer Green Switches are when in use. The make an audible click that is a lot louder than I expected. It is easy for me to overlook this because typing and using this keyboard for marathon gaming sessions has been absolutely amazing. The noise is not picked up in my mic and not audible with a headset on during gaming.

I didnt realize what I was missing before this keyboard. This keyboard is fantastic. I love the mechanical feel of the keys. There is plenty of interesting designs you can make with the lights, whether they are background lights or if the keys are pressed. The wrist rest is very comfortable and is even magnetic and connects to the keyboard so it wont slide around. I highly recommend getting this keyboard.

This keyboard has everything you needgreat lightinga very comfortable wrist restmechanical keysmacrosMy personal favorite feature is in the top right corner there is a volume control and a forward or backward button for when listening to music or watching a video. I use it constantly. Another great feature is that on the side of the keyboard theres an audio port and a USB port. Absolutely amazing and would HIGHLY recommend.

I purchased this keyboard a week ago. It has been excellent so far. The keys around loud like expected. Great for typing and clicks dont get annoying. Excellent keyboard for the price

I am not a gamer, thankfully. I just want a keyboard that is mechanical, keys are clickly, feels solid, will last forever or at least feels like it will, and this board does all that. The one thing I really enjoy that is not common amongst many of these boards is the software by Razer. For me its a breeze. I dont care for all the intricate stuff that is mega time consuming. I just want to set the lights I like and off I go. The best feature is how you can set it to turn off the lights after a few minutes when sitting idle, or your monitors go off. That is awesome. I just feel that the board will last longer, at least the lights, with that feature. Not found on any other board. The wrist rest appears to be a big issue to many not having magnets or cushion. I can see that being bothersome. but I wont knock the overall quality of what the board has to offer. Target had and awesome price, and it was ready in less than an hour for pick up and the women were great with regard to their kindness and attention to detail at Broadview, IL.

Fantastic keyboard. Easy to use and the software works well. I love how my fingers fly off the keys. Biggest reason I cant give it 5 stars is the keys are REALLY loud. I know you can change them but the tester key display in the store doesnt show how loud these keys really are.
dropdeadkitty –
The keyboard is pretty nice, love the way you can hide the cord in the back. I have a huge problem with the light bleed through the keycaps which makes it look super cheap, looked so bad that I immediately replaced them with the keycaps of my old keyboard which cost 3x less but has much better looking keycaps. I included a picture with the numbers being the Razer keys and everything else being the keycaps of my old one.

I love this keyboard and im typing on it right now. Super cute and pretty. Switches are quite loud which is annoying sometimes, but honestly you can usually look past it.

Switched back to this model from the more expensive wireless model. I really wanted to love the wireless, but the battery stopped functioning and key press transmission doubled up randomly, none of which happens with the wired versions in all the years Ive owned a BlackWidow.
Alex –
Pros Excellent on every count. It feels good to type with, looks good, and generally performs very well. I moved from a Corsair Strafe with brown switches, that in itself was good keyboard. But the Razer with its green tactile switches is a completely different, and in my opinion better experience. Highly recommend this keyboard to anyone

I purchased this keyboard when it was on sale. There should be a couple things to consider when you purchase this keyboard. One, it is a mechanical keyboard and Razer mechanical keyboards are loud. Second, Razer has three types of switches for their mechanical keyboards. They are yellow, orange, and green. Yellow is supposedly the quietest and green is the loudest. If you dont like a loud keyboard, then this one is not for you. There are ways you can quiet the keyboards loud clicks and it does make a small difference in the noise. I put orings underneath each keycap in order to muffle the noise the keyboard creates. It helped tremendously but the keyboard is still loud. Additionally, while I type with this keyboard, I hear an echo that comes from inside the keyboard which can be annoying but not distracting enough for me personally. Now for the good things about this keyboard. First, if you type a lot, than this one is for you. It types very well and can be used outside of using it solely for the purpose of gaming. Second, you can customize it and change the colors through an app Razer offers. Third, Razer does offer an option to upgrade the keycaps to their PBT keycaps and they only cost 30. I have purchased these in order to create a more hallowed noise verses a clicky noise. All in all, this keyboard does have many benefits and if you dont mind the noise, I highly recommend it. I love the know that allows me to adjust the volume on my laptop when I plug this keyboard into it.

For over one hundred dollars, this is NOT the keyboard I was expecting to get. While the RGB is awesome and looks super cool, and the volume knob is really nice as well. I can not get past the EXTREMELY annoying tinny sound of the keys when you type, especially the space bar. I came from a prior blackwidow keyboard from 2013 and was expecting a similar quality nope this thing feels closer to a hyper x keyboard. I however will recommend the Blackwidow Elite, which is what I am currently writing this review on it does not suffer from the annoying sounds and cheap build quality.

First the bad Razer Synapse software does not recognize this keyboard on Mac at all. Support is non existent. The keyboard will work but you have absolutely no control over RGB or Macros. IF you can get past this IE if you use a windows PC then you will see this is a great keyboard. The keys have that satisfying clicky sound and feel. They seem to work great for gaming so far although my rig is primarily for creative purposes. Above and beyond everything else this keyboard FEELS premium. I especially like the magnetic wrist rest and the media buttons. There is a huge amount of customization available with the Synapse software. Tons of RGB options and endless macro settings. All in all I compared this keyboard against the top of the line Logitech and Corsair offerings…unless you work primarily on a Mac, this is a clear winner.
