But the noise cancelling.Okay, so its not the best at canceling noise, but if you flip it on and off you can tell the difference immediately and its still awesome.Everything else about these are amazing.First, they feel premium.Theyre also very comfy Ive warn them for 6 hours straight and had very little discomfort I normally cant wear headphones for more than a couple hours at best.Sound quality is excellent. They look greatBattery lasts a long timeZero connectivity issuesOne of my favourite features is that I can connect more than one device at once. So I can switch back and forth from my phone to my iPad seamlessly. Its a real game changer

I had the previous model and gave that pair to a friend. I used to love the freedom the Plantronics bluetooth headphones gave me during my long commute. I liked the ease of use and great sound quality. My only qualm used to be the relative short lasting batteries. This has greatly improved with the newer model and I think also sound quality sees some improvements. I also like the charging pouch that I also purchased this time, which greatly enhances the value.

Two points views Cheap to Professional Audio Solution Using these headphones will be a jawdropping experience. Coming from someone who felt this exact way upgrading from my cheap earbuds to the original BackBeat Pro, I mean this sincerely. Upgrading from cheaper headsets to these is comparable to upgrading from your standard definition to high definition television. There is simply no going back.Professional to Professional Audio SolutionSo youre already familiar with how awesome professional audio solutions can sound so what new features does this headset bring to the table Honestly not much and in some cases, at least in comparison to the original BackBeat Pro, it has some issues. If you unfamiliar with Plantronics BackBeat Pro series, they excel in bass and features department noise canceling, open mic, pauses music when headphones are taken off, etc and they are pretty dang cool looking. The BackBeat Pro too, while more comfortable, has a few glitches in the sense that switching from open mic to listening mode messes with the volume range some times volume gets reset to lower range in my case. This also happened once to me just listening in general. On a more personal note, prefer the feature set up of the original BackBeat Pro easier to use or maybe Im just more used to it.Overall, Plantronics does a unique job of offering professional grade headphones for an affordable price and its the essence of why Ive stuck with Plantronics.

These Backbeat PRO 2 are an awesome wireless noise cancelling headphones with lots of feature that makes it a top pick. The presentation of the product is top notch and the little details with the packaging make these headphones have a premium feel to it. The packing tissue that wraps the headphone carrying bag with PLT logos was a nice touch which indicates that Plantronics went above and beyond to make this visually appealing before seeing and touching the actual product. The 2 pocket carrying pouch that the headphones comes with has a canvas type material on the outside for durability and the inside of the main pocket is lined with a soft velvet like material to keep the headphones scratch free. The second smaller pocket keeps the usb charging cable and 3.5mm audio cable from getting tangle with the headphones. The Bluetooth range is very impressive and the battery life is phenomenal. While I didnt get to test the 330ft Bluetooth range on my Samsung galaxy note 8, the sound quilty was superb with a 30ft to 40ft range in between the two devices. As for the battery life, I thought my Backbeat Fit 500s 18 hour battery life was insane but the 24 hour battery life for the Backbeat PRO 2s are ridiculous. With roughly 16 hours of onandoff use with different devices smartphone, tablet and laptop my battery life is still at medium. The materials used to make these headphones are high quality with soft to the touch leather that wrap the ear pads and headband and the plush foam padding stayed soft and comfortable while wearing them for long periods. The controls on the driver housing is nicely placed for quick and easy use but I wasnt very fond of the rotating volume control, it had to grow on me a little before I fully got used to it. The 3.5mm audio cable is a life saver if you ever run out of battery life, you can have wired headphones until you get it charged back up again. The open listen feature is a nice option to use rather than taking off the headphones entirely to hear your surroundings. The active noise cancelling is on par with others in its segment, nothing that stands out but it does the job well. The drivers have a decent mid and good low tones but the his were bland and washed out sometimes. For all its features and quality, heres where the Backbeat PRO 2 headphones fall short of a 5 star rating with me. While the driver housing can swivel to make it more compact, it does not fold in like many others. My old Bose wireless noise cancelling headphones could fold in its driver housings and it those Bose were 10 years old. Even cheaper regular wireless headphones have the fold in design. The fold in feature, in my opinion, is what makes the Backbeat PRO 2 lack the premium overall quality. The smart sensors are a little too smart. The idea of just taking one side off to pause the sound while listening to the surrounding or when someone is talking to you is an awesome idea. Heres my experience that made me annoyed with the smart sensors. Whenever Id tilt my head forward or side to side, the driver housing would move ever so slightly and pause my music. At first, I thought it was an issue with the Bluetooth connectivity but soon realized it was the smart sensors. This became an annoyance when I was using these headphones while I was cooking or drawing.Overall all, I do enjoy the BackBeat PRO 2s and I am extremely satisfied with another product that Plantronics has put out into the hands of the consumers. These headphones are well worth the money than then some.

The sound quality is excellent and the bass is well balanced. The styling is not to everybodys taste and the controls can be fiddly. All this is forgiven because of the sound quality. These are the best sounding over ear headphones that Ive ever owned.

The headphones are not used every day I will say occasionally. After some time the cushioning start to tear apart. It starts suddenly with the right side and after a week the left side begins as well. This never happend to me with another headphones. the warranty is over and I dont know if there is any replacement or what to do with it.

Awesome sound.Filter reviews on two stars and you will see exactly what the problem is with all the BackbeatPro 2s. Poor PC interface which causes an unbearable sound quality experience. The fact that the playpause sensor is only in the right ear is a bit of nuisance but the PC connectivity is a deal breaker.Pity I spent the money already 1 year old and using fitness Bluetooth headphones of 25 the cost with better Bluetooth connectivity, Backbeats parked in a closetPS Plantronics please do not reply with BT600 driver updates. It doesnt work and is not the issue.

I bought this over a month ago on German Amazon. I previously tried the Go 810, but now prefer the Backbeat Pro 2. Why The sound is more powerful, more substantial, more direct, and better balanced. Also, the Pro 2 has more features and a sturdier build quality. Well worth the small extra charge. Designwise, well, the Pro 2 certainly go against the recent trend for minimalism in headphone design. Thats not why I chose them. The ANC isnt in the same class as Sony or Bose, but its decent and blocks enough ambient noise to make the Pro 2 a reliable traveling companion. Whats best about the Pro 2 however is the battery life, which actually exceeds the one given by the company in their specs by a couple of hours driven at nearmaximum volume. Also, the standby is just awesome compared to the competition. The sound is slightly dominated by the warm, round bass, but it doesnt overwhelm the mids and highs. Vocal presence is excellent, actually. The sound resolution is good enough for more sophisticated music, too, like classical or instrumental jazz. Highly recommended for pop, rock or country on the commute. BTW, the BT range is superb well over 30 meters without interruptions.

Straight out of the box these headphones come in a very nice zip up bag to store them in along with a pouch to hold the charging cord, and the auxiliary input cord. First look at them and they look like a very nice set of head phones with a quality feel and minimal weight. Next step was the set up, syncing to my apple products was as easy as possible, all I had to do was turn them on and open up the bluetooth menu on my iPhone and iPad. The BackBeat pro was there and one click later they are synced. The sound quality of the head phones is a 10 out of 10 for me clear sound with plenty of bass. I have not had a lot of use of the noise canceling feature yet but it definitely works it will be a great feature to have when I travel. They are comfortable to wear and the controls are simple and easy to use. You are able to make phone calls with them and the person on the other side can hear you as if you are not on a headset. The auto stop and start feature when you take off the headphones is also another cool feature that works well. The range you can be away from the device you are listening to ample, I do not have an exact range because line of sight and being inside my house are a different distance you can be away. Battery life seems very good, I have at least 10 hours of use on the initial charge and still have not had to recharge them. Overall great headphones, they are much more comfortable than my BackBeat Pros. You will not be disappointed.

he Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 sounds very good for a Bluetooth headphone, is comfortable to wear and offers decent noise cancellation and strong battery life. It performs very well as headset for making cell phone calls, includes a carrying pouch, and is an overall excellent value. I am surprised with battery life. Incredible 24 hour battery life for non stop use with ANC on. On daily basis lasts for a week for me. Highly Recommended.

Ive had these for a little over a year and a half. They served me well in that time, just a couple hours of wear a week. However, the cushion on the left ear began to come apart, revealing the foam underneath. It doesnt even look like a stitching is coming undone its more like the glue had deteriorated and its all coming undone quickly. For 200 headphones, they should last longer than this.

Plus The sound is absolutely astounding. Control features are great and well made compared to other bluetooth headsets volume, next previoussound, pause, restart are all easily accessible on the left side. Battery life is also a plus.Minus Poor sound isolation. Cheap Built the pads are starting to deteriorate after just one year, and do not last longer than 2 years.Overall, I would say it is a good headset and I recommend it.

These are absolutely the best sounding wireless or wired headphonesheadsets that I have ever heard and I have owned nearly every top brand out there. These headphones let you hear the subtle nuances in music that you have likely been missing. I was pretty happy with the earbud type blue tooth headset I have been using that also offers Noise Cancelling by another brand but, I didnt know what I was missing until I started using these yesterday. They actually made me feel excited to talk about these things. The first thing that you notice is that they are packaged well and come with a cloth bag to keep them in and they are so nice looking that I dont want to treat them casually like I would a lesser quality headset. These actually are a blue tooth headset after all since you can place and receive calls with them like you would any blue tooth headset. I have a wired gaming headset that costs in excess of 200 and I prefer the sound of this Back Beat Pro 2 over them. One of the things that is super cool about this headset is its wireless range. I know its sound quality does not diminish even when I tried it last night in excess of 40 ft. through several walls in my house to my LG G5 phone. Any other blue tooth headset I have ever used couldnt get much over 15 ft. away without the audio turning to unintelligible garbage. When I was laying in my bed with the phone still down the hall around 40 ft. away the music was still clear and I could not tell that my phone was not right next to me. I could of course use all the features such as next track and volume up and down with the controls on the headset. The noise cancelling feature works really well and I could really not ask for more and noise cancelling is something that I have grown to demand of all my headsets and for people who ride a train, subway, or plane this will make their lives a lot more peaceful. These are also great for sporting events with a roaring crowd. Another benefit of noise cancelling is that you dont have to have the volume up as loudly to understand everything perfectly so you dont have to have the volume up as loud as you would if you didnt have Active Noise Cancelling. This headsets earmuffs are just big enough to cover your ears which also helps to block out the noise and people cant hear how loud your headset is playing even when you are sitting right next to someone as I just found out a few minutes ago when my wife smacked me after I did not respond to her a second time while I was listening to music at low to mid volume. One of the best things about this headset is their look. They look sophisticated and are not some bright color that screams rapper wannabe. These look high fidelity and they deliver high fidelity sound that I can only compare with a pair of super high end wired headphones that are using a very expensive mix amp. That is just how good these sound. If you have owned any of the recent Plantronics branded mono blue tooth headsets you know about the sensors that connect and disconnect the headset when you take them off. This headset works the same. The sensor is located in the right side earphone and when you move it off of your ear and slightly forward the music pauses and when you put it back on your ear the music resumes. You tap the flat part of the right headphone and it is your Call button just like their other headsets. The left side has the controls for next track, previous track and the volume is on a dial that you can easily adjust up and down and the pause is in the center of the left side. All of the controls are intuitive and youll have them memorized by feel in minutes. The battery life on these is also very long and I havent charged them yet and they still say the battery is high. The main thing that I can say is that if you are looking for a noise cancelling blue tooth headset that delivers accurate music reproduction then look no further. You will be blown away at the sound and the bass is not overly accentuated and neither is the treble. It just sounds the way it was meant to be heard. These are actually cheaper than a lot of headphonesheadsets I have purchased in the past and their audio reproduction is better than every one of those. I wish these had been made 5 years ago, I would have saved myself a lot of money by buying these first. Its awesome that technology has come so far and long blue tooth range is now possible while still delivering superb sound quality. Active Noise Cancelling is a super bonus and the headset would still be great without it but, it makes them even better and more useful with it. If you are a music lover of any genre I promise you will not be disappointed. The rest of the awesome features are just a bonus.

I got the the BackBeat Pro 2 headphones just before leaving for a trip to Europe. The noise cancelling was excellent on the noisy planes and after two 10 hour flights, I still have battery life The noise cancelling is sufficient without sounding like youre in a black hole. I think Plantronics has struck a really nice balance with their noise cancelling system. The biggest thing for me is the overall sound. I dont are what features you have, without great sound theyre no good to me. Having worked in a sound studio before I was really impressed with the natural sound of these headphones, both wired and wireless. I encourage you to play Chris Rices When Did You Fall on these. The natural sound of the crisp acoustic guitar and voice in the opening blends nicely when the heavier bass kicks in. Very nice.Last but not least, the price. This are easily 100 cheaper that similar featured headphones and they sound great. Great sound. Great features. Great Price.

Headphones are amazing. Sound quality is comparable to the top consumer headphones out there for the music I listen to. Love the fact that it also has a mic. It has dramatically reduced my phone usage during phone calls. I can do my own work instead of browsing the phone while talking on the phone. And the Bluetooth coverage is sooo good, I do not need my phone on me in my house and work at all. Battery lasts foreverrr

I researched the best wireless over the ear headphones concluded that for the price, these would be the best bang for my buck. Ive used them consistently for 2 weeks they are great Easy to pair with the Iphone 7. Sound is very clear they are comfortable to wear for hours. Only hiccup Ive run into is that the functions on the headset volume control, skip a song, repeat, etc. suddenly stopped working. I googled the problem read that you need to reset the headphones by plugging them into a power source like when you are charging them. Plugged them in for about 10 seconds that did the trick. Other than that, no other problems. The battery life is outstanding

I received these a couple of weeks ago as a replacement for an old pair of Bose wired noise cancelling headphones. The bluetooth range on these is excellent, as is the sound quality. The noise cancellation is good enough that I cant hear my chihuahua barking in the same room. The controls dont feel as high quality as other brands but thats reflected in the price and Im sure theyll be as longlasting as my other Plantronics products. They also feel a bit heavier and bulkier than some other brands I tried but certainly arent uncomfortable.

I bought the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 Bluetooth headphones for practicing piano. I use the piano as a MIDI keyboard, mapping the keys with highquality Grand piano sound samples. For this use, the BackBeat Pro 2 headphones are an excellent solution. They provide a very low latency, thanks to the Aptx LL codec. Their latency is about 40ms, while other codecs like the standard SBC or aptX HD are in the 200ms range. At 200ms the music is out of synchro with the fingers, it seems echoed. Futhermore the BackBeat Pro 2 sound is of very good quality, with enough resolution crispness and dynamic. This was not the case with headphones I tested using another low latency codec, the FS Fast Stream. I was also looking for a neutral sound, with no color. A common feature of headphones is the extradeepboosted bass. When playing music a flat response is preferable. I have tried headphones which are very good for watching TV, but their boosted bass and quite loud treble make the piano sounds like if it was in a tin can. On the contrary the Backbeat Pro response is as flat as expected, without sacrificing the piano bass. Speaking of comfort they are light and are a good fit for a large head 7 14 hat. The battery management is convenient. A voice advises us of the remaining power whenswitching on, the charging progress can be followed with 5 leds. About the voice, language can be customized. There are some caveats, though. AptX LL support seems inexistent on PC and smartphones. It has to be provided by an external transmitter, including some USB dongles. Also Bluetooth interferes with other 2.4 Ghz devices in the household, like wifi, microwave ovens and RF wireless devices, including other headphones. Some crackling can be hard to avoid. These headphones are no exception, even if crackling is scarce. At last I cannot comment on an important feature, the noise cancelling one, which I dont use enough. In conclusion I decidedly recommend the BackBeat Pro 2 when a low latency response in wireless mode is required, like practicing music and watching TV. Gaming also requires low latency, but not being myself a gamer, I cannot be so affirmative to recommend their use for this.

Ive has these for 3 years now. I really liked these headphones, I found them comfortable with good sound. Unfortunately they just havent lasted, they are now flaking and constantly pausing each time I move my head. I think this is a common plantronics product issue as this is now my third product that hasnt lasted 3 years.

I bought these about 6 months ago during a long layover at an airport. I had been eying several other more expensive headphones, but took the time to actually compare these to numerous other models from Bose, Beats, etc. using my music on the phone. The sales guy told me to give these a try after listening to the others. The quality of sound on these rivaled or exceeded every other pair I tried. Over the next 6 hours in the airport I put them through the test of everything from music to movies to phone calls. It exceeded every expectation that I had. I am extremely happy with the battery life, quality of the build and sound. A added plus that I wasnt expecting is how it will pair with multiple devices and pause movies and music when they are removed from your ears or when you receive a phone call. I would give it 6 stars if possible.

Ive been looking for a good set of headphones to wear at work in particular. Ive purchased several sets trying to find ones with the right sound, comfort and noise isolation for me.The Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 were a logical choice to try as I purchased the Backbeat Sense on ear headphones and enjoyed the sound and features, but wanted an over ear set for more ambient noise isolation. I bought a set of Bose Soundlink Around Ear II headphones and though I like them, the highs have an emphasis on a frequency that I find a little too harsh and although comfortable, they still didnt block as much ambient sound as I wanted. Since the Backbeat Pro 2 feature active noise reduction I thought Id give them a try. These headphones sound very good to me. The bass is definitely emphasized, but not so much that it gets in the way. There is some enhanced presence in the high end, but it never gets shrill. The mids seem somewhat deemphasized, but not too bad. Mids get a little muddy during complicated sections, though not too bad. Overall Id call the sound modern and fun. I think most people will enjoy the sound. Of note, unlike many bluetooth headphones, these even sound good with the electronics off and plugged in via the audio connection. Not as good mind you, but not bad at all.Comfort is pretty good. Like all over ear headphones, they dont let in fresh air around your ears to they get hot at times. Though they are well balanced, they are heavier than a lot of modern over ear headphones, and you do notice the weight after a while. The biggest problem I have with the comfort is that the ear cups arent very deep, so the outside of my ears are touching the inside of the ear cups while wearing them. Its not a lot of pressure there, just barely touching. Its not an anatomy problem I dont have large ears and they dont protrude any more than average. These are over ear headphones, the outside of my ears shouldnt be touching anything. The active noise reduction is minimally effective. It works pretty well for some sounds, like my refrigerator and for HVAC fan and wind noise. It cuts those out about 75. Though, just putting on the headphones blocks at least 50 of those noises. Other droning noises that I thought it would do well on, it doesnt. My lawn mower, for instance, I would have thought it would block out the noise, but it doesnt. It also doesnt do well on random background noises like talking and footsteps. Im very underwhelmed at this feature. The build quality and controls are mostly very good. The controls are laid out well and after a day of use will become second nature. The voice prompts are annoying though, especially switching to the open mic setting. This allows you to hear the outside world without taking the headphones off. Having to wait for the voice prompt to tell me Open Mic On is just taking up time. If I switch to that setting, I want to hear the outside world NOW.My other beef with the controls is the volume ring. Its loose enough that when you turn your head, you hear the plastic parts tapping together. These would easily be a five star product if the noise cancellation worked better. I think Plantronics is on the right track and getting close to perfection. If these are in your budget but the more expensive alternatives are not, then youll most likely be pleased with them. Just know that these do not have the nearly magical noise reduction of the more expensive alternatives. You still get great sounding headphones with excellent battery life that sport intuitive controls.

ProsCharges fairly quickly and lasts quite a long timeComfortable with good sound qualityBluetooth is easy to pair and connects automaticallyNoise canceling is okay, works much better when used in addition to musicIt could be that thats how its supposed to be, Im not sureConsBattery is only measured in High, Medium, and Low, making it difficult to gauge how much charge is actually leftWill often cut music in and out for the first 13 seconds after putting them on, however it only happens once and will not happen again until turning them off and back on againOccasionally have trouble with syncing when making calls, but I believe thats an issue with my phone, not the headphonesOverall100 Recommend. As someone with autism, these have been tremendously helpful. I hate earbuds and often have had uncomfortable headphones, but these feel great and block out sound quite nicely. The fact that they also turn so you can comfortably wear them around your neck is a nice touch. The open mic is also nice if Im in a loud environment but still need to talk to people. As for the issues listed above, they are very minor I honestly had trouble thinking of more than one or two.

After 1 year why they do only 1 year warranty headphones start to get static and not clear. Only wore to gym and was not rough on them. When bass hit. Sounded like blown speakers in your ear. Warehouse lost my headphones after I shipped them back so I lost 140. Save your money and go get something better. I found 50 JBL headphones that sound way better. Customer service lady was rude.

I wanted a headphone with noise cancellation as heavy rain drowns out the sound when I am listening to music or watching something on YouTube. The Backbeat Pro does that. It is not perfect. I estimate that it reduces the noise by about 50. I also wanted it to have good base as much of the music today uses a lot of base. Backbeat Pro has good, clear base. Of course, one can get better headphones by paying more. But it is fairly good in its price range.

Not even one year passed and the ear cups split up, exposing the foam. They are still usable but the foam gets dirty way too fast and without any possibility for me to clean it up. Ear cups are NOT REPLACEABLE so that is out of equation. The top section cannot be taken off and washed. So after 1 year heavy use you can expect it to be greasy. These are the first high end headphones that I bought so I have nothing to compare it too but in my opinion there are better options out there for cheaper price. Bluetooth is great, never had a problem. Battery life is also fine dont remember exact numbers. Sound is fine, However the noise canceling is really weak, almost unnoticeable While it is on you can hear weak static, almost unnoticeable. Sound isolation on the other hand is fine. Conclusion Not worth the 250. Id buy them for around 100 MAX.

I had two other headsets. I really liked them, but, I wanted a bluetooth version. I was afraid to pay them almost 400 and not be able to replace the battery. Bad design. After researching I found that drawback to be typical of wireless, so, I decided that if I have to throw these away when the batteries die, I would at least buy a cheaper pair.Very happy with Plantronics. The sound quality is great. I like being able to turn noise cancellation onoff separately. They pause the music when you remove them, which is nice. The noise cancellation is every bit as good as the more expensive brand. I like the verbal prompts when you change settings onoff, noise cancellation, etc.Drawbacks they dont fold up nicely, which, when stuffing in a packed carry on bag is a problem. they come in a bag instead of a hard sided case, which does not provide the protection of a hard container although they are comfortable, after a several hour flight it sure feels good to take them off. I still wish I could just change a AA battery, mid flight, instead of the rechargable batteries.

I have used MANY different types of Bluetooth for music and for movies on my Ipad and the Backbeat PRO 2s are by far the best Ive ever used. They are super comfortable I have a large head for both myself and when my gf borrows them, they sound amazing, AND they are great to take on the plane with me. The controls are very easy to use, I love the 3 stage noise cancellation. It is a MUCH better set of headphones than my Beats ever were.1000 would buy again. Yes, the Bose Quiet Comfort headphones have slightly better active noisecancelling capability, but then the Plantronics Backbeat Pro is almost HALF the price of the Bose. Ive had the Plantronics Backbeat Pro for awhile now and my FAVOURITE superb, killer feature that not even the Bose Quiet Comfort has sensors that detect when youve removed the headphones from your head which automatically pauses unpauses the music. This is the ONE feature that I totally dig. No buttons to press. I pull off my Backbeat Pro and the music pauses. I put it back on, it continues where I left it. Amazing feature that Im surprised the 500 Bose Quiet Comfort 35s havent implemented. The noise cancelling of the Backbeat Pro works perfectly fine for me. All in all, a superb package at a superb price from Mighty Ape.

I just received the headphones and O M G Im in love. The sound quality is amazing, I personally love the bass in them. The fact that you can turn the noise canceling off and on is remarkable The sensors on this device surprised me but oh do they come in handy To be honest they appear to by very heavy but thats not the case at all, plus it comes with a nifty travel bag with an extra pocket to carry your cords. To sum it up these are the most comfortable headphonesbluetooth that I have ever owned.

Had for a few weeks, very sleek looking product, high quality feel. Surprised at how good the audio quality is when listening to music. The microphone feature is a unique little thing, not sure Ill ever have use for it though. Noise cancelling is good, not great, which is why I only give it 4 stars. Not sure why Plantronics doesnt have a more wide distribution model they dont retail anywhere in brick and mortar. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

The biggest change on the Pro 2 is the oval shape of the ear cups. It is much more comfortable to wear and makes a better seal. The other changes include the volume control and buttons that turn on the set and noise cancelling. I actually prefer the old placements, especially the volume control, but I suppose Ill get used to them. Of course, the sound maybe its just me, but I think they sound even better than the original Pro and thats saying a lot One more item These are lighter than the Pros and I noticed that right away when I picked them up. All in all, great job, Plantronics

I did all the research on bluetooth overtheear headphones and found that I would like this the best. Looks fantastic and it sounds great when its wired. But thats not what I wanted it for. I got it for the wireless functionality and its pretty bad at that. The booklet says it should have a pretty good connection up to 300 feet away but when I have my phone in my pants pocket the connection goes in and out. If I take it out of my pocket and hold it in my hand then its ok. Makes absolutely no sense. I dont know if its the set I have or what but its definitely not what I expected. Id send it back but I lost my order info. I would recommend this for great WIRED sound and a fantastic look and feel but probably not for Bluetooth connectivity.

Bought these a little over 2 years ago, but barely used them. Maybe 35 times a month and only at the office. These were always stored in the pouch they shipped with or on the little headphones stand I have. Very gently used and I loved these until both cushions just came apart for no reason at all These were great, I especially liked being able to have these paired to my Mac and iPhone at the same time. They worked great while they lasted. I will probably be replacing these with another brand to get higher quality build.

Premium material quality and stylish design. Acceptable level of comfort and active noise canceling. Battery life is also great. But there is only one problem volume is too low, not at a sufficient level even at the highest level and Plantronics Hub app not good enough. This can be easily fixed with a software update. I strongly recommend if you are planning to buy its a great choice.

I bought these to replace my apple iPhones be head phones threat come with the phone. I started commuting to NYC on the subways. The other ear buds just didnt perform well over the subway noise. After I got Pro 2, I have tested them with songs to test headphones tracks on Spotify with good quality and enjoyable.During weekdays, I commute between NJ and NYC, total travel time of an hour and 45 mins. On the 34th streetPenn Station for the 23 subway trains the headphones do a GREAT JOB dulling away the screeching sound of the 1 train. The decibels ranged from 85 88db when the trains come on both sides of the platform with the intercoms blasting announcements on the platform. On the 2 train, as it makes its way to the Bronx, the decibels peak up to 8284db, once again the noise cancellation come through. Before these I use to wear the apple headphones where at times I had to increase the volume up to the max, which doesnt seemed enough but I am sure would not be good for the ear drums in the long run. The headphones make a huge difference and are worth it.Decibels of 85 average with a whole team of Junior Leaguers, the Pro2 come through again. In terms of durability, I am being gentle with them as one of the comments on Amazon had picture of a damaged pair, without over filling my messenger bag that there is enough room for the headphones. As I bought these during the summer, the material design does have a feel like its not breathable, it does feel stickyclinging while on the NYC subway stations as the subway are not air conditioned, they do end up feeling heavy, sticky, suffocating, Unbreathable, but the quality didnt get hindered in my experience.Hopefully it will keep the ears warm during the winter session. The noisecancellation is awesome, A few times on the train NJTRANSIT, the ticket master had to tap on my shoulder to get my attention as the noise cancellation had cut him out. Subtle loss of noisecanceling capacity when the battery is on low, expected. When the headphones announce the battery is low, I have turned off noicecancellation and gotten nuf life to get to my destination.Battery is good, I have always drained them beyond low and done a 6 hours of charge before using it.Overall, satisfied TG.I measured the decibels through dB Meter app.

Overall these are a nice set of headphones. The features you get for this price point make them a definite contender compared to some of the other midrange options on the market.I have an iPhone 7 so the Bluetooth connection is the method that is most important to me. This model didnt pair or stay connected as easily as the original Backbeat Pro and for some reason my music would randomly stop playing and I would have to go back to the app to push play. The overall sound is very clear and great bass for a Bluetooth headphone. There seems to be a pretty good balance between the treble, mid and bass which I was very impressed with. I like that the music pauses when I remove the headphones and begins playing again once I put them back on. This feature was also available on the originals. They work well for phone calls also. The caller and I both could hear well with very little echo you would normally have with.I will admit, neither the originals or the new version are particularly stylish in comparison to the Beats, BWs or even JBLs, but I do prefer the older model better over the cheap woodgrain look of the Pro 2s. However at this price point features and sound outweigh the appearance.I can only give these 3 stars because of the spotty Bluetooth connection, overall appearance and random stoppage of music for no apparent reason. Could be an isolated incident and maybe there is a learning curve, so I would recommend them primarily due to the features these headphones pack and the hope that my issues arent the norm.

Just arrived and while I really like the lightness, relatively nonbulky form factor and the feature set, there are a lot of Bluetooth related quirks. Having 2 devices paired can make for a confusing experience. Not sure which device owns the headphones at any given time. Didnt know before buying that if you use the headphones as a headset for VoIP or teleconferencing calls with a computer Mac it reduces audio quality considerably since your using a microphone and it switches to a different Bluetooth profile. Get random clicks and glitches heard through the headphones when theyre idle. Not sure where that comes from.

Finally decided to pick up a pair of over the ear, noise cancelling, wireless headphones. Checked out 4 premium sets at retailers around town the usual suspects jbl, Bose, Sony, Beats. After reading a few reviews and recalling a very functional Plantronics headset I wore back in my piloting days I decided to order the Backbeat Pro 2. I got an excellent product sound quality, battery life, Bluetooth range, price. I was mildly questioning how Id react to what I had read was polarizing style, but had a strong positive reaction and really like the premium feel of the materials. And, last but not least, they are very comfortable to wear for 23 hours.

Id been researching for some decent over ear phones for a little while now. Previously Id only ever used earbuds, and felt like an upgrade. I was not even considering the Plantronics, but a friend pointed me to them, and when comparing features, they seemed like winners. My set arrived yesterday, and Ive been using them continuously. The sound is great with decent lows and crisp highs, and nice mids. Obviously quality depends entirely on the source, with direct connection giving the cleanest sound. Bluetooth seems to be touch and go, but when a decent transmitter is used, I have no complaints.I was initially a little disappointed in the active noise cancelling, but using it a bit, Ive come to appreciate it for what it is. The feature doesnt cancel external noises completely, but it does greatly reduce annoying sounds, like aircon or low office hum. It still allows through some voice, so if someone is trying to get your attention youre not totally oblivious, and responding to them is as simple as either clicking to the open microphone setting, which is great by the way, or just removing the earphones, which automatically pauses your music.Id definately recommend these to friends going forward.

I now own 2 pairs of these headphones. All you need to know about these headphones can be found on rtings.com. Read the review there and use the compare tool to compare these to the more expensive Bose and Sony any brand headphones. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I agree the NC isnt rated as good as the 2 to 3 time more expensive headphones but I have used these on flights and find the NC to be more than adequate. Check out how they stack up on all the other specs and their overall rating. I do a lot of research before I make a purchase. When it came time to upgrade from my older wired Sony NC headphones which I really like, I found these and I am very glad I did. I dont believe you will find a better headphone in this price range especially when on sale.

Great headphones for the price that doing everything well After doing some searching, I came across a review for the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2. Every professional review I could find gave this headphone a solid rating and every one of them scored the battery life, comfort, and features to be excellent. Eventually, I opted to buy the BackBeat Pro 2 Special Edition model at 249, and here are my thoughts so far Battery life It is amazing. It is easy to check the battery level both visually and audibly if you pause any media playing on your headphones, then tap the right ear cup button, a voice will tell you what level your battery is at in the form of high, medium, or low. A charge lasts literally all week, and that is with a minimum of 46 hours of use a day 2 hours on commute alone. Also, there have been times that I have left them switch ON and forgot that I did, but they must have some sort of sleep mode because, the next day, they still had a high battery level Comfort The ear cups are a memoryfoam type of padding and VERY comfortable. I have zero complaints about wearing these for a long period of time and even my wife, who is very picky about headphones, said they were very comfortable. I also hate when headphones feel too warm on my ears and these arent badat all.

I was extremely happy with my purchase straight out of the box. Pairing was simple and I love the sound quality. Nice deep base which a lot of headphones have trouble with. The battery life is beyond fantastic as well. The range is incredible too, I can walk anywhere in my house and get signal with no interruptions. However, I was very disappointed in the noise cancelling capabilities. Id say they are noise muffling at best. Overall I think the features like pausing when you remove the headphones make up for the poor noise cancelling.

I saw lot of good reviews about this BackBeat Pro 2 and I just broke my AudioTechnica headphones.Im producing music rap beat and wanted a neutral headphones I could transport easilly everywhere, but its not the case here, the BackBeat is not neutral at all. A huge increase of basses, a decrease in the low mediums and increase of the high frequences.Aslo, I feel the headphone very cheap, when I buy a product more than 200 I hope Ill keep it for at least few years, but I dont know if it will survive 6 months… Well see in the future.Plantronics have placed themselves as part of the standards on the market and not as professionals headphones, so its a part of my mistake, but I can guarantee you that for the same price you can find really really better products. And for my personnal experience with other brands, it would worth the half of its price. Some good points are the bluetooth is working very well, as well for the active noise cancellation.

Bought these headphones for use around the office, and business trips. I havent tried them on a plane yet, but here are pros and cons so far Amazing sound quality I am a musician, and I thought my old headphones were exceptional, but these beat my old ones hands down. Very decent noise cancellation. Dual connection is amazing, I can connect them both to phone and PC, and it switches seamlessly between calls and music on different sources. Great controls on the device, easy to do everything without looking. Automatically pauses music when you take them off Automatically answers a call when you put them on A little bit uncomfortable on my large head, presses too much against the ears, but not too bad.

Ive had the Backbeat Pro 2 for about 10 days and I find it to be excellent headphones. I do have a problem with my ears getting hot after a while but that is the nature of over the ears type design. The earpads are very soft and comfortable and the headband will adjust and fit small and bald heads. The styling is subdued but nice looking.I found that the track skip, replay, pause and the headphone off sensor all worked with my ASUS Android tablet. Its nice to have the music pause when the phones are removed from my head and restart when put back on. The one problem I had when I first got the new headphones was the volume control. It was not clear how it worked since you can turn the volume ring two directions spring loaded and nothing may happen. The trick is to turn it until you feel it hit a resistance then turn it a bit more and the volume will raise or lower depending on direction. There are a number of voice prompts that tell you the battery level, volume is max, etcI like the open mic feature but it could be louder. I cant wear earphones while talking on Skype because the bone conduction sound when I talk is annoying. The open mic feature should fix this but I havent tried it yet. The ANC works really well with the lower frequencies being cut the most. High pitched noise like a vacuum cleaner will come through but be reduced. Fan noise from my central heating is completely cut and the sound quality of the music has very little or no change, excellent.I have not tried using the Backbeat Pro 2 on a phone call and the microphones are completely hidden. The battery seems to last forever, mine still says the level is high after only the first charge. Overall, the Backbeat Pro 2 was worth the money and provides many features, great sound and long battery life. It can also be used in a wired connection with the included cable.

In wiredpassive mode, the sound quality has very clear treble and with a bit of bass, however, you will want to switch on the headphones as it will give you the best listening experience. If you have an equalizer app on your phone. You can make your bass very deep without any sound distortion. Even on max volume on headphone and phone. Sensors dont work well in gym environment, depending on your bump motions, it will trigger the pauseplay randomly, same with yawning. Battery can last up to 5 days even when leaving it on but not using it. The build quality doesnt feel flimsy at all, especially where the swivel point on where the cups are, they feel like they will last a while, its not weak plastic that you see on most headphones. Cushions are in between soft and hard, so spec users, beware of ear pain after extended use. The media controls dont work in all apps. Review is done mainly via bluetooth on a S6 with equalizer app Music genre listened trance and many sub genre of trance.

I was looking for an upgrade from my earbuds, both in terms of comfort and sound quality. The BackBeat PRO 2 looked great, came from a brand I trusted, had a reasonable price point and had good reviews online. I ordered them from Plantronics and after nearly a month of use, Im very satisified with my purchase.Sound quality is very clear, both for a wide variety of music and phone calls. The noise cancelling is very goodmaybe not at the level of some other options in the market, but sufficient for me and very helpful working in a loud office and flights. The battery life is greatI think Ive had to charge them only 3 or 4 times this month and use them for at least an hour a day.The controls took a little time to get used to, but are good after a while. The automatic mute and pause features are great I love being able to take them off to talk to a coworker and have the music or podcast pause by itself.I have had callers complain on occasion that Im difficult to hear, which is typical in my experience for bluetooth headsets, so I dont think this is an issue unique to this headset. All in all, Im happy to recommend this headset and I look forward to enjoying them for a long time

I guess Im a simple guy, I dont use head phones as a fashion statement, to associate myself with celebrity. or to feed on some arbitrarily driven technological marketing race. When it comes to reproducing great sound quality without a cord however, I am very critical. To that extent, I judge the noise canceling feature as an enhancement to sound quality and not as a means of escape from my environment.Last night I had the pleasure of sitting awake in bed until 300 a.m. It wasnt insomnia though, I was listening to music on my Backbeat Pro 2s and just couldnt stop. I have a few DJs I follow on MixCloud who really pay attention tosound stage detail when mastering their recordings. This is very subtle fazing and delay stuff that is lost on most good quality wired headphones, so I was shocked by how accurate and razor sharp this set of BLUETOOTH head phones sounded. More impressive was this crispness was backed by an almost spooky solid low frequency signal. Often the subtle 3D soundstage quality is destroyed with single driver head phones. The tweet and mid will distort under the weight of the sub wave, which muddies the fine details. Happy to say thats not the case here.At the risk of getting personal, I confess, my wife snores so I ware earplugs. Not a run away freight train snore, more of an idling diesel truck, but being a light sleeper it might as well be a jet engine. Last night, I had the Volume pretty low, less than half way, but never once did the Mrs Mack truck get passed the noise reduction. I was lost in pure sound for hours… Oh blissI would be exaggerating if I said Id ware a dead goat on my head if it sounded this good. Given the fact these Pro 2s look much nicer than a goat, have plenty of tech gizmos, and last 24 hours on a single charge, I can honestly say Im not disappointed in the least that I cant make a stew out of them. When it comes to value for the money, Im absolutely blown away by what the Backbeat Pro 2s can do sonically, so all the other great features is just straight up frosting.

I got the BackBeat PRO 2 a few weeks ago. They replaced my beats solos. I was astonished with how many different features the headphones has. The noise cancellation is amazing. I turned noise cancelling mode on while I was working and I couldnt hear anyone or anything. The audio quality is as good as beats. These headphones are as good as beats or maybe even better than beats. For the price and the quality this is the best headphones I have ever had.

I bought a pair of these for my kids as we were going to be doing a fair amount of air travel this next year. The kids loved the carbon fiber styling and the fit was good. Sound quality was good as were the bluetooth and annunciation features. The kids thought it was cool that the music was paused when you took them off your head, etc. However, the main reason we chose these were for the ANR. After multiple tests it was clear that the ANR barely noticeable. Head to head against Bose QC 25 or 35s it was no comparison

The Back Beat Pro 2 absolutely have earned a place in my Bluetooth headphone collection.I am a 68 hour a day user of the Plantronics Focus in your home office and it has the best voice quality of any headset I have ever owned. With that in mind I was very excited to receive my Back Beat Pro 2 and put it through some heavy testing. The packaging was top notch and the protective carry bag felt good to the touch. I actually prefer a soft bag to a hard shell as it is easier to fit in my backpack. I love that the Back Beat Pro 2 comes with a full charge and ready to pair. Pair was very easy and quick too.My first instinct was to make a phone call and check to see how great my voice sounded to the person I called. I admit being a little disappointed that my friend described my voice as a little metallic. I gave up on that guy and called someone else for a second opinion. The next opinion wasnt much different so I tried the mute button. After I turned the mute button off I heard the Back Beat Pro 2 voice say, over and over, Mute is Off or something very close to that. It was distracting and irritating. Thats when I decided to test music and noise canceling and it turns out I had It all wrong. The Back Beat Pro 2 isnt trying to replace my Plantronics Focus at all. It is meant to replace every other headset I own. The music quality is nothing short of stunning. The bass is clear with just the right amount of heavy and the highs are clear and crisp. Like many other people my music collection is as big as Apple and Spotify put together so I was all over the place listening to Bruce Springsteen, Adele, Ozzy, Yes, Queen, Florence and the Machine, and the list goes on. I did not pick up one time where the Back Beat Pro 2 did not shine bright. The noise cancelling did not put any pressure on my ears as I have experienced before. I have a round trip coming up this week and I am really looking forward to the 24 hour listening time and to putting the noise cancelling through the ultimate airline test.Stay tuned

I like these headphones. They are very comfortable, the range is pretty good, easy to connect and overall the sound quality is good. I would give them 5 stars, but when I have moved around a lot they tend to slip a bit on my head and dont stay in place as well as I like if I move my head up and down. I also wish that they volume could go a tad higher although Im sure in a few years my eardrums with be happy it didnt go higher. Overall Im very happy with them.

I use my headphones every day, both at home and on the job. I do a lot of video editing and copywriting, as well as video gaming on my PS4. So when Im not using them professionally, I put them on to get in the zone or play games. I wanted a pair with reliable bluetooth, decent sound, long batterylife, a good mic and 3,5mm plugin that would accept 3rd party cables to connect it with my PS4 controller. Because some manufacturers make it difficult in that regard looking at you SonyI really take my time when Im deciding on a new buy, a couple of days even. When I was looking for the best possible buy, I came accross a couple of reviews for the Backbeat Pro 2. It looked like it had everything Id wanted and even more. I didnt necessarily need the noise cancelling feature though Im really glad I have it now. But the headphones as a whole looked perfect for me, so I decided to buy them.I have them for a couple of days now, and I absolutely adore them. They are the most feature heavy headphones I have ever come accross. I love how I can turn on the noise cancelling at will, I get a good battery indication, easy playback and phonecall controls, motion sensor actions… And I havent even played around with the optional Plantronics Hub app yetI have tested the mic thoroughly by calling from my phone, from my macbook, from my imac… I can go around the house and have clear phonecalls with ease. They are very comfortable as well. I do have got the feeling that they will be very warm to wear in the summer, but well cross that bridge when we get there.Overall what a great pair of headphones this is

As stated in almost every other review… battery life is insane BackBeat PRO 2s will last all week with regular use 35 hrsday without a charge. Noise cancelling combined with midlevel volume creates a cocoon of music that effectively eliminates street noise, voices, and train background. Connecting to two devices at once and pause and resume upon removal of headphones are very nice features that are polished and responsive. Sound quality is clean and sharp for all music genres tested thus far classical to metal. Bass notes are accurate, strong, and satisfying, however, if you are a Beats person and do not care for accurate representation of the music and just want to rumble your brain these are not for you. I honestly prefer the sound of these headphones to the QC35s and am confident these are the best headphones money can buy. If Plantronics continues to make products like the BackBeat PRO 2 at this price point, it is hard to imagine myself going to another company.

I genuinely enjoy these headphones for the price. The sound is decent but not amazing, the noisecancelling is minimal, but it eliminates most of the noise on my bus ride to and from work. However, I had to return them about 9 month after purchase because they stopped pairing with any bluetooth device I owned. They were replaced with no issue by Plantronics. The only thing that bugs me is I live in Montreal where it gets cold. The volume control is a wheel on the left ear cup. When it gets cold, I think the parts contract a bit and you start hearing a rattle. Not a problem if youre sitting still, but if youre walking, it gets distracting. Be aware.

After a considerable time of looking at reviews online, I decided to purchase the Backbeat Pro 2 headphones.Oh my goodness. The passive noise cancelling is great by itself, but with the active noisecancelling on, I can hardly hear anything else while doing chores or watching movies. Good thing the battery lasts so long, because I wear these cans a LOT.Speaking of long wear times, after almost 5 hours of wear, my ears got little bit too warm to be comfortable, but the padding on the headphones is supercomfy and after a quick break they are back on my head to deliver outstanding audio.Listening to music with the Backbeat Pro 2 is a new level of immersion. Ive noticed highs and lows in the music Ive never heard before. The word rich never used to apply to music, but Plantronics have changed my mind. The volume control on the left can is intuitive and lets me roam the house without sitting by my computer to adjust and pause the music as I go.I love these headphones, far and away the best set Ive ever owned.

Ive had these headphones for over a month, and they keep surprising me with their capabilities with my broad music preferences The rich frequency range and clarity is well beyond what I was expecting. Pushing the volume to see where that might falter left me stunned as it was still there, and I was beyond my comfort zone for volume. This is my first over the ear set, as Ive always preferred on ear for safety in hearing my surroundings. The backBeat Pro 2, is super comfortable, light and allows me to still hear whats happening around me if I have the active noise cancelling turned off. Once Im on my morning train, I turn on the ANC and Im emersed in my music or movie fully. One spectacular feature that I use regularly is the mic on feature that allows you to have a conversation with someone, or listen to an intercom announcement. I refer to it as my Snoop button as its also handy to pick up on a conversation from a distance while all around you think youre listening to music. When you engage the open mic, it will conveniently pause your music or video for you. Battery power is nothing short of amazing at 24 hours, yet so light in weight If I were to give any suggestions for improvement, it would be to allow the earpieces to fold both left and right as Im a creature of habit and always want to fold them to the left when I take them off. They have sense when you take them off, and will pause instantly, also allowing you to easily transfer music to another device or your car. Phone calls are clear and allow you to hear yourself talk, which I was nurvous that it wouldnt be the case. Button placement for all features is easy to find and utilize, although I find the three way toggle button for ANC a bit stiff and thus often have to carefully select twice if Ive accidentally selected full ANC if that wasnt my intent. I suspect this with ease with use.

I read a number of reviews before buying this, and MA seal the deal by putting it on special D Anyway, its lighter than I expected, the brown colour doesnt look half bad, the travel sleeve actually look and feel more like you would get from a much more expensive product, a touch of detail having a side pocket for your cables, not to mention they use actual zip The sound quality is nice and clear, most importantly the ANC works well and no weird noise like some other ANC products I got. I have an oversize head and it still fit comfortably even after 2 hrs of use. It is well worth it even at all price.

I just want to say that first I would give these a 4.5 star but you cant give half star reviews. The plantronics backbeat pro ii have been working great for me so far. The open mic feature is strange, I dont see the point. But highs are clear, lows are solid, and the mids are kind of just meh. Mids are not amazing.Noise canceling is pretty great for the price, definitely best bang for buck, but whenever you switch modes there is a quite annoying voice that says xyz on I dont know if you can turn this off or not. And when I listen to electronic music I can slightly hear a high pitch tone every once and a while. The automatic pause is a handy feature most of the time, but sometimes if im bending over, or wearing only one ear pad it pauses automatically. In summary great headphones for your buck, noise canceling is good, and bluetooth is, and battery life are amazing.P.S. dont buy the SE it isnt worth the extra 60

These head phones are right off the bat SUPER comfortable and the sound quality is simply the way sound should be heard. I did however play a few songs with very big bass and heard some scratches, but I dont think your ears should handle that much bass anyway, the bass is already excellent at normal volume. I tried it again and dont experience it very often or at all. Very great for the price. Very straight forward design, very durable and good material. It passed my head shake test. AND I ALMOST BOUGHT SOLO 3s. HAH.

I bought these headphones earlier this year, so Ive had adequate time to provide a decent review. These headphones are amazing. I wanted to first point out that another viewer Billy wrote that the noise cancelling are garbage and dont work, this is simply untrue. They must have received a defective product. The noise cancelling works GREAT I use these headphones to listen to music, videos and when gaming. When I have these on with noise cancelling I cant hear a thing anyone is saying beside me. The features are great. The headphones recognize when they have been taken off an automatically pauseplay the music. The way the ear cups swivel so they rest comfortable around your neck when not listening to anything is a great feature and they dont hit your chin or get in the way. The battery life on these are amazing as well.

Almost everything about these headphones is well thought out and designed. I cant say the same for their case though, as it is too big, lumpy and awkward. There is some difficulty using the NFC initially, but once all set up, using these headphones is a breeze and a pleasure. Just the right amount of pressure keeps them in place, not too tight. Sensitive ears might feel a bit of cabin pressure when turning on the noise cancelling, but so far I have found it to be a nonissue. They were efinitely worth purchasing.

I was more than thrilled when I saw my backbeat pro 2s waiting for me at my door. I was eager to get them on my head, and so far they havent disappointed me at all.Lets start with the things Im not too crazy about the build and the noise canceling. Although you can tell that the construction on these is good, I am not a fan of the plastickyness of the ear cups. In my opinion, it makes the headset look cheaper than Id like. They also tend to have a bit of a cranky sound when wore, and are a bit heavy. Regardless of this though, they are super comfortable.Although decent, the noise canceling could be better. I can still hear a bit of the outside world, but they do manage to muffle most ambient noise. Pretty great considering the price point. With that out the way, lets get to what I love about these cans the sound and the features. The headphones sound amazing. Im not even kidding. They are comparable to premium wired headphones in terms of clarity and space, and are crisp and delightful. Acoustics sounds great, and the bass, although a bit boosted, is wonderful. Really, really impressive considering these are bluetooth headset. The range on these is astonishing as Im able to walk about my apartment and leave my phone whenever I want without having to worry about losing the signal. This thing is feature packed. The music stops as soon as you take the headphones off and resumes as soon as you put them back on. The open mic feature is also cool, and allows you to listen in on the outside world. You can skip, stop, and rewind tracks with the left ear cup and pairing on these is incredibly simple. All in all these are wonderful especially considering the price.

I bought this headset around 3 months ago for 130 new, so I dont have a problem with the bang for the buck however, the noise canceling is more like ambiance deafening, meaning you wont hear the drone of your washing machine while youre in your house. Range is eh sure 100m if were in a gymnasium, but within a 2000 sqft house, it loses range as soon as you walk away. Sound quality is great as long as youre close to your reciever I love how it balances the basses automatically. One pesky issue that should be fixed with a software update is the feature to have the headset play audio when it comes back on. When using with my phone, it automatically finds my libraries and starts playing music, which is not a big deal, but annoying because I wasnt wanting to listen to music. DISCORD APP does not work well with this headset. The headset detects call mode so it goes inside its ambiant noise mode which makes your call sound absolute garbage. The mic is the same as any 2010 mic. I overall love the headset, the battery lasts forever i wish it told you how long itd last and the aesthetics looked good when they came in. 2 months later the fake leather on the outside started peeling, not a BIG issue but still annoying. I love the brand and the headset, but I do not think spending the full advertised 200 is worth it for this headset, look for a sale on Amazon first.

Did a bit of research prior to purchasing these. Was glad I opted to. The battery life was a top concern of mine, and these have lasted for a long time before I needed to charge still waiting to drain them with 8 hrs of usage so far. The quality has been great. I cannot comment on noise cancelling since these are a first for me, but I live in a loud environment and I dont hear anything kinda scary sometimes. The mic works great. I have mine synced with a surface tablet and LGG5 phone easy to do and works great. Would highly recommend.

I had not used proper headphones before and I am very happy I chose these. Simply so easy to use. Comfortable for hours of wear. Seemless for phone interuption. Noice cancelling is great even on busy sydney public transport and in the streets. Open mic function is like wearing hearing aids and the auto shut off is very handy. Would be nice to have a cover for the over head bit. I am bald so i need to wear a hat to prevent sweat.

TLDR Bass heavy, pretty and comfy, long battery life, no apps or tweaking for tech geeks and If youre primarily here to find out about the noise cancelling and youre expecting Bose or Sony you will be disappointed. Rather shell out the extra cash or if you cant afford it then turn the volume up and stop thinking about it.Initially I was a bit disappointed, the packaging of the BBP2s was considerably less regal than their predecessor. The bag offers little protection however, the interior is really soft. I got these on Cyber Monday for 140 so compared to the Bose QC 35 IIs or the Sony WH1000XMs Ill never understand their marketing here 299. Comparably they were a steal, however they lack the awesome features like built in assistants or gestures. They also do not have apps for tweaking the sound like the Sonys or other versions. So for 200 I probably would probably rather shell out more to get the Sonys or Boses with the hard case and aviator jack.Aesthetic Some people love them, some people hate them personally I love the style and the browns on the grey wood panel finish. The buttons are accessible and the memory foam ear cushions look and feel good. Unfortunately the ear cups only twist inward so they take up a bit more width and length then Id like, yet they arent as high on the plus side.Active Noise Cancelling I own the Bose QC 25s and honestly I can barely notice the difference. They are great for office use and drone out the hum of AC but I can still hear my key board as I type when nothing is playing. So if youre expecting a complete sound out you need to adjust your expectations.Sound If youre a bass head, like me, these headphones will serve you better than any Beats on the market and probably last longer too. If youre looking for for a more balanced sound you will have to look else where. If youre a audiophile why are you hereComfort They are noticeably heavier than the QCs or MX2s, I usually wear them 5 8 hours a day and do not experience any discomfort. However, the synthetic leather does create a hot box and my hears get a little warm.Battery life Incredible, lasts me a week on the trot if I remember to turn them off when Im not listening. Then when they die I just plug the 3.5mm jack on the cord included up to my PC or phone depending on if its USB C or Apple lighting and carry on.

For just plain music these are decent. However they have a lot of bugs and dont work well for calls. You will hear a lot of pops and clicks whenever any sound startsstops such as notifications. Do not in any way attempt to use these paired with a computer they only really work with a smartphone and even then its still not great. Call quality is TERRIBLE. Music quality is good when it works, but the headphones will get confused and continue to use low quality audio codecs after the calls ends, or the DSP inside the headphones will get corrupted and music will have great bass but almost no treble. Best Buy is not a good place to purchase these from because once you realize how bad everything is, you cant return them.

I love these things, purchased over two years ago, and I use them when Im flying for work, I often fly too. I wear glasses, and even with a thick frame, the ear pads still keep most of the sound out, but its best when I take my glasses off. The noise cancelling is fantastic, and Ive often used them for vacuuming and while using the hammer drill around the home. The battery lasts forever it seems, I can go on several flights before I need to charge them again. Even after all this time, the battery still appears to be as good as new. I like the sensors too, and I think thats why battery lasts so long, putting them into standby when you take them off your head. The BlueTooth is excellent also, even working with my brand new phone just the same as the old phone.

Excellent sound quality, not to heavy on the bass with nice definition in the higher rangers as well. Comfort is decent, perhaps a bit tight for my liking. Not as compact as other models, this may be due to the sensors in the headphones that understand when an earpiece has been lifted and stops the music playing. Battery life is exceptional. Bluetooth range is also exceptional. Feature packed.

I have a pair of Bose On Ear headphones. Did a TON of research on these headphones and decided to give them a try. Im SO glad I did. After a few hours of listening, I went back to the Bose and notice how much mid base they had I cant use the Bose anymore Because these Plantronics arent very portable, I bought a second pair for work. They are still comfortable wearing reading glasses. Sound quality is excellent Battery life is excellent So happy

I purchased 2 pais of these headphones and got an amazing deal from Harvey Norman. For the money you cannot beat these head phones. Features on par with more expensive headphones, a great sound with a deep rich bass, very good active noise cancelling, not as good as the more expensive brands but definately adequate for commuting and flying. Would recommend these headphone for anyone who is looking for a great pair of noise cancelling wireless headphones, but does not want to spend the money on the more expensive Bose or Sony models. In mt opinion they beat anything in their proce range.

This is my second pair of BackBeat Pro headphones. These have all the same features that make the BackBeat Pro a great pair of headphones Open mic listening, automatic pausing, noise canceling, and by far the best battery life of anything I own. I can go almost a month of listening without a charge.Sound quality is second to none, and the new ear cup design lets you wear them for longer periods of time without any discomfort. The carry case is super plush and keeps them from getting beat up in my bag.Overall Id recommend them to anyone who needs a pair of over ear headphones. They are the beast headphones in this price rage and Im sure Ill be buying a few pairs as christmas gifts this year.

The sound quality of these headphones are great Ive never owned a pair of headphones that have such cleancrisp sound quality like the BackBeat Pro2 has. The noise canceling feature is great for drowning out any unwanted noise which helps add to the overall listening experience. The bluetooth feature makes them super convenient so you dont get tangled in cords, and they are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time as well. I would definitely recommend these headphones.

Disclaimer This review is solely based on MY personal experience and preference of the Plantronics BackBeat Pro headset. My views will differ from others, and I am just saying what I likedislike about the BBPro 2s. The only way to find out is to try them yourself.Okay, where to start The Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2s was something of a let down in regards to it being the Newest in the BackBeat series. With a FEW positive upgrades, I feel like the quality of this product was an overall downgrade.First off, the buildThe BBPro 2 headset definitely feels a lot lighter and more cheaply produced than its predecessor. It feels less sturdy than the first set, and the swiveling mechanics feel rather stiff. The cushioning and size of the earcups are by far a downgrade that I wished would have stayed the same. Idk if this was to save money or to try a new design, but I for one would have been satisfied with just leaving it alone. The volume and seeking dials from the first set were phenomenal, but they seemed to be replaced in a rather odd fashion with this headset. For some, it may be convenient to have everything on one side, but I would much prefer to have them separate with the volume and seeking ACTUALLY being dials and not just some buttons or a half rotating dial. The auxiliary cord is pretty thin and not as reliable. I do, however, enjoy the internal mic feature the headset offers. The performanceWhen I turn them on, the overall volume on the voice that tells you how much battery you have left seems to be diminished in comparison to the first set. I like how it automatically starts pairing when turned on, which is a nice feature, and the ability to have more than one device connected is still amazing. The switch to change between ANC, what I assume is standard mode, and openlistening is nice and convenient, but I honestly dont like the fact that my music briefly stops so the voice can tell me which mode I am in. The first set was just a switch between modes without any interruption, and this headset, although its a small change, let me down in that area. Its not THAT big of a deal, but I dont want my music to briefly stop just so I can know which mode Im in. For some, this may be a good thing, but I personally dont like it. It sort of takes away from the overall listening experience. The sound is definitely better than the first BBPros in regards to it being crispier, more immersive and more highdef. But one thing that REALLY let me down was the lack of bass these headphones can handle. While they still sound nice and whatnot, they start to rattle at lower bass frequencies…something that has NEVER happened with the first set. I like bass…PERIOD. Which is why I enjoy the first set so much. And with these being the newest headphones in the BackBeat series, I was hoping for even more, well defined, bass…but that was not the case. The ANC also doesnt seem as, for the lack of a better term, cancelling as the first set. Even with the volume all the way up, I can still hear minor exterior sounds bleeding through, and other people around me seem to be able to hear what I am listening to…which I hate. The volume has definitely been capped at a much lower decibel, and this, I guess, is a good thing. We wouldnt want people to lose their hearing, now would we Aside from the lack of bass, volume, and ANC, this is still an amazing headset. It is definitely great for playing video games as well Which is a HUGE plus in my book. In conclusion, this headset has its pros and cons just like everything. What I dont like, you may enjoy. Dont let my personal opinion deter you from buying these amazing headphones They are definitely a good product, but, for personal reasons, as I have listed above, I will be sticking to the first set of the Plantronics BackBeat Pros. The light weight and sleek design is nice and great for people that dont want all the bulk. The sound is better…with the exception of the lack of bass. Automatic pairing, multiple connectivity, and having everything on one side is convenient, and I feel that anyone that buys these will not be disappointed. All in all…you give and you take.

Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 is premium product with well thought packaging and accessories. Carrying pouch soft inside and offers pocket for charging and audio cables. The headset itself well designed aesthetically, doesnt look generic, premium feel and solid quality.Controls are well designed and intuitive. Volume ring, playback control buttons on the left cup and call control button on the right cup are easy to find and use. There are also builtin sensor that triggers mute function if you take headset off.Headset is comfortable to wear for extended period of time. If you take them off and put around the neck the cups swivel ninety degree and allow comfortable wear while not using headset. The sound quality is impressive with solid elastic bass, well pronounced mids and clear highs. I liked the bass performance bass is well established but not overwhelming. These headphones will put you in the center of audio picture. Another detail audio performance via Bluetooth and via cable is practically identical. Phone quality is great, caller voice is natural and Active Noise Cancellation helps to focus on the conversation without vacuum effectPlantronics Backbeat Pro 2 are solid versatile headphones for use on the road to block out jet engine noise, in the office to focus on work and at home or anywhere to enjoy the music.

I got these because they had all the features I wanted and then some and were less than the Bose equivalent. Sensors work well and granted Im no audiophile, but the bass is deep, and sound is clear.Noise canceling works great for white noise and phone conversations wont cover up shouting or loud talkingBattery lasts surprisingly long, I charge once a week with moderate useRange is easily 150 feet Playpauseskip functions work great if paired with a phone, but dont work with chrome web streaming. This would be awesome for them to fixComfortable over ear cushions, no pressure points that I notice they are adjustableOverall a really good set, and definitely worth the price. I think they look cooler than Bose too, but thats just my style.

As a former Audio sales specialist and autiophile, I have tried nearly every brand of equipment and accessories available. I found these at Best Buy and after closely comparing all of the major brands, Beats, Sennheiser, Bose, Sony, JBL, I am very glad I chose the PLT BackBeat Pro 2. Not only are they near identical quality noise cancellation as the Bose, but they are very musical and high resolution with vocals, acoustic environments, and the fine details from top to bottom range. The only single drawback I have found and not to say that it isnt very very good, but that they are not the absolute best with the deepest of the deep bass such as the low low baseline found in Motley Crues Starry Eyes… just for specific example. However, the overall range is excellent and balanced. The bass is still really punchy and clear like the Bose. There are a tonne of headphones out there that sell just for their extra bass ability. I usually find those extra bass versions quite boomy and not as clear with mids. A big surprise was the active listening feature. It freaked me out a bit because it picks up the faintest pin drop, echo, or whisper and you feel like you gain super hearing. Just walking by my open window, I heard people talking in a kitchen about 2 houses away and could make out every detail including tinkling of stirring glasses, crinkling plastics, water running, etc. If you are an audiophile you will not be disappointed by the quality of sound from these punchy and musically crisp headphones. These are very comfortable for all day use and the battery has excellent capacity even for multi day use. Simply fantastic.

The headset looks amazing. The sound is very clear. The noise cancelation is probably not the same as the very expensive headsets but its doing a very good job.I like the sensor that stops and plays the music when you take them off put on.Some things that i dont really enjoy but not such a big dealSometimes if i take them off for a longer period of time, when i put them on it says Phone 1 disconnected. I purchased this set of headphones to use with my iPhone 7. My point of reference is my Bose wired noisecancelling Quiet Comfort headphones. I loved those so I was just going to update to the blue tooth version when I stumbled across these on CNET reviews. Not expecting too much, I thought Id give them a try. To my very pleasant surprise, I discovered that I wasnt compromising much at all in terms of sound quality. And the design features are very practical on top of that. I really like these. Excellent headphones whose battery life last for ages. The battery life is extraordinary. And the noise cancelling effect really does work. Easy to use and set up. I purchased these mainly for use on airplanes as we do a lot of travel and the NC effect is really noticeable. My only criticism is the container provided for them could be hard case rather than made of material. But apart from that, excellent product.

So happy with these, we bought a couple of pairs to hook up to our new TV, using the optical out to a bluetooth transmitter. I have a twoheadset bluetooth transmitter on order but the old one I had AUKEY BRC14 2in1 Wireless Audio Transmitter Receiver works fine. I had to turn the bluetooth off on the TV to get both headsets to connect, but then it was straightforward and quick. Ive had other bluetooth headsets, quite a few in fact, but this time I wasnt so cheap and the extra money spent less by far than it could have been, for a Bose or something was well worth it. I like balanced, honest reproduction of the source signal and this set delivers that. No overpowering bass that isnt already in the source. I like em.

The BackBeat PRO 2 has so many features, great aesthetics, and amazing sound quality. The controls are practical, even if it seems unusual at first. The design of it looks of much high quality than one would expect at its price point. The sound is amazingly balanced. Although it seems like it has more of a flat response, which means that it may lack some of the bass that many people enjoy, the quality is just superb. Its just too good to be true.

Ear Cup Quality To the individuals claiming the ear cups fall apart exposing foam and they arent replaceable are completely FALSE claims. My ear cups started falling apart exposing the foam after 1.5 years of extensive use, to which point I received free replacements two in fact from the manufacturer. They are replaceable, dont listen to these negative reviews. Noise Cancellation Yes the noise cancellation is not Bose quality, which is and was expected with the purchase, but by no means are they non existent. The noise cancellation works great, I have used them on planes, trains and automobiles and I couldnt be happier. Comfort Individuals saying they couldnt wear them for more than 20 minutes, that might be an individual thing for your anatomy or a defective product, but I use my headphone for more than 5 hour sessions at times even longer and I dont even notice them on my head. Sound Quality The sound quality is good. The bass has punch, the highs are clear, I have no complaints here. Battery Life Amazing. Lasts a VERY long time and it charges incredibly quickly. Overall Impression The autopause feature when taking headphones off ears is an amazing feature. The swivel of the ear cups so they lay flat when wearing around your neck is an underrated feature. The build quality feels sturdy, the material and look feels nice and all the buttons work as expected.

Using this headset with and HP laptop running Windows 10 is a nightmare and a joke. The bluetooth is absolute garbage. There highest quality audio you can achieve when using this hardware together is 8000hz telephone quality. There is an option to bump up the input quality to 14400hz CD quality, but that redacts your ability to use the microphone on the headset at all. These remarks apply to both Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams. The headset works fine if youre connecting it to an iPhone.

I bought this headphone about 2 weeks ago and i am still impressed, its a high end headphone at a mid range price. Im a bass head so i didnt know quiet what to expect from this product even though the reviews raved about the sound quality. I am now a believer. This model is even better than the sony XB950bt, albeit at a lower price I own a sony XB950. If you can get at the sales price like i did, dont hesitate. Yes the noise canceling portion of this headphone is not as good as the Bose 25 and 35 models. What it lacks in this aspect it makes up for in sound and build quality.

Ive been using Plantronics gaming headsets for several years, and they always produce quality products. This is my first experience with one of their wireless options, and I am very impressed by these headphones.First of all, the headband is sturdy and fits snugly on my head. The entire unit is very lightweight, and barely noticeable when worn around the neck. The oval earcup design provides a comfy fit for large ears. Wearing the headphones for an extended period, around two hours, is very comfortable. Ive only done minor adjustments to the earcups to avoid fatigue. Now, Ive been pleasantly surprised by all the features on these headphones. Reading the description of the product, some of the features seemed very gimmicky. However, my concerns were misplaced. The sensors for detecting if the headphones are on your head are absolutely fantastic. It will only pause if you fully remove the unit. If you are bobbing to music, running or lying down, the music still continues normally. You can even move one earcup off your ear and leave it on your head for uninterrupted listening. The open mic feature is very useful for maintaining situational awareness when walking in crowded areas. Noise cancelling is very effective when used in conjunction with music. It easily drowns out the hubbub of a university library. The battery life on the headphones is impressive as well. I charged them overnight before I started using them, and four days later, the battery is still high. Having a 3.5mm headphone jack is a very nice addition, and music switches seamlessly from bluetooth to wired mode.Overall, these are a very good pair of headphones. You can easily wear them for several hours, and the battery life is fantastic.

I owned a pair of Plantronics BackBeat PRO head phones and had no problems. Im a local guy here in Santa Cruz so I upgraded to the BackBeat PRO 2 headphones to support a local company. Ive had to two pairs. The ear cups are always the first to go. In less than a year the ear cups developed problems. The ear cups are annoying, but they can be replaced. My biggest problem with the headphones are the Smart sensors Smart sensors pause your music automatically when you remove your headphones and then resume playback when you put them back on. On both pairs of BackBeat PRO 2 headphones that Ive owned the sensors dont work properly. For example, if I chew or move my jaw the music stops. If I angle my head to the left the sensors react and stop the music. If the headband moves to the back or front a fraction of an inch the sensor stops the music. Its annoying.I reported this to the Plantronics team but could not get a replacement set of headphones. The battery is good. The sound and noise canceling are also fine. The customer service, earcups, and Smart sensors are stopping me from replacing these with another set of Plantronics headphones. That hurts because Im sitting in my living room in Santa Cruz 4.8 miles from Plantronics Corporate Headquarters.

My previous pair of headphones were a wifi based wireless set, supposedly better in sound quality than bluetooth. The battery life was excellent, good protective case, small and lightweight. Eventually the ear pads started coming apart and I had to make occasional repairs with gaff to keep them together. I bought this Plantronics set thinking theyll probably be okay and at least Im not spending as much as I did on my last set. To my surprise, the battery life is equally amazing, probably better than my last pair, plus it gives you verbal notification of the battery level each time you turn them on. The sound quality, particularly the bass response, was better than I expected and better than my previous headphones. They have Smart Sensors that detect when you put the headphones on and take them off, pausing and resuming your playback as you do so which I LOVE. The little carry bag they come with is okay, but not as hardy as the padded case that came with my last headphones and they are fairly bulky, but then I do have a smallish head. I havent played around with the Noise Cancelling function or used them for phone calls, as I almost exclusively use them for listening to audio and havent been in any environments loud enough to warrant noise cancelling yet.

I bought the non SE where the only difference is the colour and case so functionally the same. After about a year with them I am very happy with the BBPro2 and would thoroughly recommend them unless noise cancelling is the primary feature youre after. What I like Very comfortable for long stretches of wear and feel sturdy. Ive not noticed anything to give me concern about quality. They are closed so of course ears get warm and sweaty if exercising. Battery life is great, especially if you can use the wear sensing feature that automatically disconnects when you take them off. Microphone voice pickup and isolation is excellent as expected from Plantronics and phone conversations are a breeze just takes some time to get used to. Audio quality for music listening is great for the price. I know theres going to be better if you spend more but for this price range they are very good. Bluetooth range and quality seems good but Im not listening to lossless music so… My only gripes Onear sensing doesnt always work for me as I have small ears. This can lead to situations of the headphones cutting in out as they disconnect and reconnect. Likewise, if you wear a beanie over your head and ears that will stop the feature working. Ive had to disable the feature and that really hurts battery life if I forget to turn them off. ANC is nothing like what you get from a pair of BOSE QC35 my only other quality reference as the noise cancelling on those is staggering. My 80 pair of wired Sony MDRZX110NC on ear phones are about equal to the BBPro2. Without anything playing, with noise cancelling on I can still have a conversation with people and hear some ambient office noise. On a long distance flight they are helpful but if thats what youre buying ANC for Id look elsewhere.

I love music. Im a musician myself, and I like to listen to music wherever I am. So naturally, a decent pair of headphones is a must for me. But Im a student, with a very small budget, who has to prioritize my purchases. For me, as much as Id love to own a pair, a good pair of noisecancelling headphones, theyve never been affordable for me. Ive been stuck with cheap earbuds and onear phones that cant provide satisfactory audio quality or noise isolation. As I was writing up a list of purchases that I felt were important to me going into the next school year, noisecancelling headphones were first on the list. So I decided to do a little digging. As expected, the vast majority of quality headphones simply werent within my budget. But to my surprise, I discovered the Backbeat Pro 2, and was blown away by what I was reading. From the reviews I saw, they sounded like a quality pair of headphones, with solid construction, good audio quality, and effective noise cancellation. The most amazing part was, they sold for much cheaper than any of their immediate competitors, cheap enough to fit my very restrictive budget. To be honest, they sounded a little too good to be true. But after reading numerous reviews, I decided to try them out.Boy, am I glad I did. I love these headphones. Admittedly, theyre not the classiest looking headphones Ive ever seen. But I wasnt looking for a fashion statement, and they certainly dont look bad either. Theyre wellbuilt, and they seem sturdy. The soft case that is included with the headphones isnt anything special or particularly strong, but the soft lining inside should be very effective in preventing your headphones from being scratched. The main things that I love about the Pro 2 can be summed up in a few basic categories.1. Sound QualityFull disclosure Im not a hardcore audiophile. I have friends that fit that description, and I am not one of them. However, I am a dedicated musician myself, Im a paid teacher at a music school, and I love music. So while I may not be a fullon audiophile, I know good sound quality when I hear it and I can tell when a pair of headphones has skimped in the audio quality department. That is not the case with these headphones. The detail in these headphones is amazing, and the balance between lows, mids, and highs is almost always satisfying. The bass isnt quite as solid as it might be in some more expensive options, but unless youre a major basshead, it should be plenty to fill out your music. 8102. Noise CancellingThe world we live in is noisy. I dont live in a big city, but the regular humdrum sounds of life are a constant reality, and theyre especially noticeable when travelling. For me, a portable pair of headphones is an essential part of focusing my thoughts when Im surrounded by noise and activity and for that need, active noise cancelling is a beautiful gift from above. I had had very little experience with ANC headphones before I purchased this pair, so I cant compare them to their competitors for daytoday use. However, I will say this the ANC in these headphones will more than suffice for my needs. Blocking out traffic sounds, airplane noise, the buzz of conversation, and other droning sounds is a breeze with these headphones. While they cant do much to help you with more abrupt or unpredictable noise close voices, for example, or loud, unpredictable clanging, most annoying noise is filtered out pretty effectively. 7103. ComfortIf youre going to be wearing a pair of headphones for long periods of time, you dont want to feel their presence on your head as an annoyance. The whole point of headphones is to surround you with music and isolate you from the outside if the presence of the music comes with its own discomfort, it severely detracts from its own purpose. While these headphones certainly dont disappear when you put them on it is the nature of noisecancelling headphones to be larger and more noticeable than their smaller musical counterparts they do a pretty good job of staying out of your way. Theyre relatively light, and the padding on the earcups is soft and pleasant. If you wear them for hours on end, youll be more than ready to remove them at the end of the day but theyll never become more than a minor annoyance, and even then only after very extended use. 710ConclusionOverall, I the Backbeat Pro 2 headphones are a solid purchase for an everyday music lover who just wants to enjoy their music in peace. If youre an extreme audiophile, you may not be satisfied with the bass but for pretty much every other normal person, the audio quality will feel like bliss. The noise cancelling may not be the absolute best in the industry I wouldnt know, as Ive never owned any other ANC headphones. But from my laymans perspective, its pretty dang good. And the comfort level is just fine for regular use it may not be anything revolutionary, but thats not what I was expecting. Theyre just good headphones, for a good price, for the everyday user. I highly recommend them. Overall 810.

I love these headphones. They have all the features I need without a high price tag. Im not in the market for great ANC, what this has works. Connectivity to two devices at the same time was important for me along with easy to use controls and the option to go wired if necessary. Oh, the sound is great as well. I dont have any other headphones to compare to and I dont mind since these are great. I opted for the Special Edition as I like this color more and it comes with a case.

They allowed her to listen to audio books, and with the noice cancelling, although not completely leaving all noice out, it was enough to filter out a lot of the noice usually heard in a ward. The headphones has very good battery life, and recharge quick. Perhaps quicker than many other I have tested over the years. The fabric pouch they came with is still in perfect shape, after being used every day, as well as the cushions no sign of cracks or wear and tearA solid product that has shown to last and be able to take a beating

I bought these headphones to help me focus in my noisy studio environment at school. I am surrounded by many other mouthbreathers and easily distracted yappers. I needed something noisecancelling and wireless so that I can walk around my studio without removing my headphones, thus unintentionally inviting others to speak to me like I actually care about what theyre saying. These headphones allowed me to walk 300 ft maybe more away from these chums and still focus my attention on my work without yanking any cables or cords in the process. After many hours of constant use, I noticed brief seconds of disconnection. I found that giving them a little break, disconnecting, turning them off, and them back on and reconnecting fixed this. These headphones are great for the active mobile studio environment but are not ideal for the immobile bingewatching Netflix environment. A customer is likely to feel a pinching or pressure on the temples and under the ears from the tightness of the headphones if reclining in bed or sitting on a long flight again, ideal for moving around. I am also expecting this to weaken over time and become more comfortable. For the price and features not found on many other products playpause sensors, activelistening, unbelievably long battery life, and longest wireless range I could find, the BackBeat PRO 2 are well worth it I highly recommend confirming that they are in stock before ordering even if the website says they are. Trust me.

I bought these excellent headphones a couple of months ago. The sound is quite good and the noise cancelling feature is surprisingly good. Maybe not the best NC on the market but at this price it exceeded my expectations. The only fault I find in these headphones is the sensor that automatically pauses the music when playing Spotify when you take the headphones off. I wear glasses all the time and sometimes if I dont have the headphones completely settled around my ear the music stops and starts at random times. Very annoying when working. But when you find the right position for the headphones around your ear, they work perfectly again. If it wasnt for this minor problem I would have given these headphones 5 stars.

Ive never had noisecanceling headphones and Ive certainly never spent a lot for headphones. Im not really an audiophile but am traveling a long way on an airplane and hope theyll help me relax and sleep. Ive been using them every time I go the gym and find the sound excellent, ambient music and voices are present but not noticeable, so I am very happy with them. Im listening to my iPhone library and am not yet practiced enough to change tracks by touching one of the sides but no problem just touching the phone itself. Range is good, the phone can be on the other side of the gym and the music is still in my ears. If I get a phone call, it rings over the headset. The instructions dont say if theres a mic built in so I dont know if I could answer the phone without removing the headphones, but maybe I could put the call on speaker and not remove the headphone. Im very happy with them

This headset had very nice audio quality and decent noise cancelling although not close to Bose or other high end sets. However, I bought these to replace a pair of Bose Soundlinks I lost that served as my goto for making businessconference calls. These were unusable, with people on the other end of the call saying I sounded like I was underwater 100ft away. They went back to the store. Wouldve been great if they could sort the microphone quality out. Not sure if these were just mine or if the problem is more systemic to the headphones.

I got the BackBeat Pro 2 headphones about a year ago, as an update to the original BackBeat Pro headphones I bought a year before. I had no real complaints about the performance of the original version, but liked the aesthetics of the 2s more. Ive used them on multiple long trips, 812 hour flights where they do a commendable job drowning out jet drone with their active noise cancelation, and the long battery life means I dont have to worry about charging them but once a week or so. They offer sound, with tight and deep bass, clean midrange tones and bright highs. The fact that they work equally well on phone calls, has meant that I spend more time listening to music in between calls and the active noise cancelation helps make noisy office sounds almost entirely disappear.Only two complaints, neither of which are dealbreakers. First, the active sensors for stopping music when taking off the headphones are glitchy. The headphones would stop and start music just by my moving my head, even after several resets to try to fix the issue. I ended up just turning the sensor off entirely, as its not exactly difficult to just tap the pause play button myself. The second complaint isnt really one of the BackBeat Pro 2s but rather any over the ear headphones, and that is they dont let moisture out when wearing them for extended periods. You might be surprised by how much sweat your ears can generate in 8 hours. Ive considered trying to replace the leatherette padding cover with an actual leather cover so that it absorbs some of the moisture.

The BackBeat PRO 2 are among the best value you can find for noise cancelling headphones. Coming from the original BackBeat PRO, this new generation is a great step up in design and performance.Plantronics did a great job ensuring the overall design, look and feel of the BackBeat PRO are on par with headphones that cost much more. From a comfort standpoint, I was able to wear these for hours on a cross country plane ride and also in my noisy NYC hotel room without ever feeling like I had to take them off. And since I mentioned wearing these for hours, its also worth mentioning that the battery life on the BackBeat PRO 2 is nothing short of awesome I was able to fly to NYC wearing them, use them in my hotel room for a couple hours and still have enough battery life to get me home. The user experience is very simple and intuitive as well. Sound is very high quality and crisp, and I found music quality has improved over the previous generation of the BackBeat PRO. My only complaint comes with the 3.5mm cable included with the BackBeat PRO 2. For as high quality as everything else is that comes with these headphones, the 3.5mm cable felt very cheap. This is more perception than performance, so you dont lose anything here necessarily, but when everything else looks and feels so premium, its a shame a little detail like this got missed. All in all though, these are hands down the best value for money noise cancelling headphones you can buy.

Just got in the new BackBeat Pro 2, so Ive only had a few hours to try them out, but here are my initial thoughts. Great packaging and appreciate that Plantronics used less plastic in the box. The headphones were placed inside the included travel bag, along with the USB charging cable and audio jack and instruction manual.Initially paired them with my iPhone 6s, which was simple. I immediately tried pairing them with my retina MacBook Pro, but the headphones at first were not showing up as an option. A few restarts and I got them connected to both the phone and laptop, but have experienced further hiccups with disconnects and nonresponsive headphone functions. This could be an issue with my iPhone and MacBook, as Im running beta software, but will do some further testing on other devices to see if it continues to be a problem, suggesting a possible issue with either the headphone hardware or software. The biggest difference between the Pro 2s and the Pros, is size design of the headset. The new Pro 2s are much smaller, looking more like other competitors models, compared to the Pros, which were much chunkier looking. As for my initial impressions of sound quality and active noise suppression, the Pro 2s seem to be very similar to the Pros. Great bass response, tight but strong. The highs are clear without being overly sharp. Ive got a pretty diverse music collection and have listened to about a dozen different genres on the Pro 2s and can say they sound great for classic music, rock, altcountry and hiphop. The active noise canceling could only be tested against a lawn mower and leaf blower that were running outside my office window, but much like the original Pros, they do a very good job filtering out most of the obnoxious droning sounds. Ill report how they work after my next flight, next week, how they work for airline travel. The original version worked great for flying, allowing me to filter out the jets drone on a 12 hour flight and expect the same out of the Pro 2s.I cant comment on battery life as of now, but Ill push to see if they perform as the Pros did. No reason to think they wont give the same longlasting battery performance.

I received these about 2 weeks ago and my review is mixed.Lets start with the good. The sound quality is amazing. These are by far my favorite headphones for listening to music or watching movies while I travel. The highs arent too shrill as with some and the bass is perfect. The Active Noise Canceling works really well. It doesnt kill all background noise but reduces it enough so that while on a plane I can hear any movie very well. The Open listening feature is very nice. It works beautifully. Im able to carry on full conversations while leaving the headphones on and Im not yelling at whoever Im speaking with. They are very comfortable, cover the ears well and arent too heavy that they cause any strain. I also like how they fold very flat and I can leave them on my neck without feeling like I have a huge set of headphones there that are constantly in the way. Also the battery life is amazing. Ive used them daily for the past 2 weeks and Ive just plugged them in last night to recharge them.Ok now for the bad.The Mute feature is painful. I use my headset constantly for phone calls and I had to actually switch back to my V5200 Series. The BackBeat Pro 2 keeps muting automatically and no matter what I do I cant get them to unmute tried pressing the Mute Button to no avail. The only option has been to power them off and back on to reset it and it will work for a while then Mute again. Its frustrating to say the least. Hopefully there will be a fix for this as Id really love to start using these regularly for all calls.Even with this issue Ive given them a Overall Rating of Good and Im sure they will release a fix but until then these really are just usefully for musicmovies and not for phone calls.

I am a college student and needed headphones that can tune out loud students while I study, but still sounded great. These headphones are perfect for me. The sound quality is great and competes with bluetooth headphones that cost much more. The bass is perfect and is punchy enough to satisfy most bassheads out there. I mainly listen to HipHop so bass is very important to me. These headphones have many features that are convenient for me. Removing the headphones from my ears pauses the music, which is great when a student needs to talk to me. I was surprised by how great the microphone is on this headset. Usually, when I use bluetooth headphones to speak to someone on the phone they say I sound distant or that I my voice sounds like its coming from a tin can, but people have told me I sound clear and didnt even realize I was using headphones to speak to them. These headphones dont collapse for easier storage, which can be a negative for some, but they are so lightweight that I have no problem carrying them around my neck or using the carrying case that comes with it. The design is fantastic and unique. The noisecancelling feature was very helpful for a study session I had where I was outside of a Starbucks that was near a 4 lane street. I couldnt hear the cars at all.The best thing about these headphones are the battery life. You will not find bluetooth headphones that deliver great sound, and long lasting battery life like the BackBeat PRO 2. I have had these headphones for over a week now, and have only needed to charge them once. I listen to music probably 34 hours a day, and these headphones are very comfortable to wear. Overall, the BackBeat PRO 2 is a great bluetooth headphone that is worth the price.

I really like this headset for so many reasons. But recently the headset constantly pauses my music over and over. The slightest move of my head will cause my music to pause. Its really frustrating and theres no way to disable this functionality. Its worse on some apps as well which is strange. Its bad on Spotify but really really bad on YouTube. Its basically impossible to watch a YouTube video with these headphones. Im running Android

I cant believe I bought those headphones. I red much about them and was kinda cautious about Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2. After listening to all kinds of music it proved those headphones are a very pleasing commuterhome audio set. The sound and the features just blew all concerns out of the water. Satisfying often punching basses still not missing highs and mids so you get to hear tones you didnt get otherwise. And the headphones size is average meaning surprisingly small compared to what the box and most general pictures suggest. Noise cancelling works absolutely great and there are no complaints in this department either. Design, colour and materials are indeed fun too. Highly recommended its for sure one of best purchases people can make. Just pick a decent track and you wont believe your ears.

Ive used these headphones on most days for the last 9 months and found them excellent both in the sound they produce and the wearing comfort level. I had owned previous two models to this and had problems with the ear cup material coming unstuck. These were replaced under warranty and finally upgraded to this new model which has not had this problem. I even got a rebate as the new model was cheaper Dont hesitate to purchase these phones they are just great.

Good price for noise cancelling but bad microphone.I like to use it to listen music and watch videos without external noise, but I just cannot use it as a microphone headset because people claim there is too much external noise and they cannot hear me very well.I would just recommend as a headphone, but not as a full headset.

Pros Good sound overall, with good balance between bass treble Comfortable to wear for a couple of hours Battery autonomy is long enough for my long intercontinental travelsCons I bought this product for both private and professional use when trying to connect the earphones to my laptop Windows 7, the device was recognized and installed but does not operate. Following call to service desk, I have to buy a 100 BT dongle to make it work with Windows 7, and much cheaper dongles just dont work. This is insane for a 200 headset and I feel being racketed here. May have to buy another headset that works for my Skype calls… Noise cancellation is poor it does reduce some background noise in airplanes or buildings air con but leaves still a significant amount. Any nonsteady noise is not being filtered at all.Rating 2 since half of the purpose of buying this headset is defeated by not being able to use it with my laptop, and I cant accept having to add 100 to hopefully make it work.

These headphones are very comfortable and stylish with intuitive controls. The sound quality is fantastic Its like Im experiencing my favorite music for the first time. But, above all else, the active noise cancelling is amazing. I live in the city off of a busy street, and I have upstairs neighbors that are ridiculously loud. These headphones allow me to enter a bubble of sound isolation like no other. I loved these so much, I bought a second pair for my boyfriend. For the price, theyre an incredible set of headphones and I am very pleased with my purchase.

As a frequent flyer 2 flights per week, I can confirm that these significantly reduce noise volumes, but do NOT totally eliminate them. For this is fine… I actually think its good that I can still have a bit of situational awareness. If the music is off, I can still tell Im on a plane, and I can here most of the announcements. However, the noise reduction is quite meaningful I feel a huge difference in stressfatigue reduction when I wear them makes the flight far less taxing. I have not used the BoseQ35, but even if all the reviewers are correct that Bose has stronger ANC, I dont think the additional reduction in noise would help much, and for me anyway, it certainly isnt worth the additional cost.I have been a pro musician and soundtech, and although my aging ears can no longer qualify as golden, Im pretty picky about sound, and have some really nice speakers and headphones for home. The Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 has very good audio quality. If plugged in to a good headphone amp playing high quality audio files, these might be exposed as less than perfect, but given that I really only use them to listen to already compressed read degraded MP3 over Bluetooth more degraded from my smartphone, or even worse streaming audio on the go, these are great. Once again, I think that any improvements that might be had from other ANC Wireless headsets would be negligible, at best and clearly not worth any extra cost. One problem Ive had is the automagic sensors that stop the music and ANC when you take them off even after calibration, these are not reliable and kept activating for me even when I dont move very annoying. I turned on the feature press and hold Mute and the big button on the center of the Right phone and everything is great. Now I simply tap the big button in the center of the left phone first to pause, then remove headphones, no biggy. Conclusion Great for what they are wireless headphones with great sound considering the source and noise cancelling that is more than good enough to greatly improve the ride on planes, trains, and automobiles passengers only. Add in the great comfort, long battery, and almost half the price of the competition I didnt get the SE, so mine were 199 from Plantronics, and this is a very good buy.

great headphones, awesome sound. Works great with an apple device. Did not try with an android. pairs very fast. Only draw back is if you are using it with a device that is not android or apple ex music streamer or stereo system Bluetooth device the head phones shut off when the headphones are removed from your head or any controls other than volume are used on the headphones. obviously i use them for my ipod, but they would be that much better to be used with ANY Bluetooth device.

I bought these due to the positive reviews. Tried them on for 20 minutes and could not bear the constant pressure on my ears and head. Take a look at the picture, note the closed position of the ear pads and head band, well they do not move and so the pressure is constant. In comparison other headphones have ear pads that move so even in the curved natural position of the the head band they can move to a parallel comfortable position. Now for the worst part of this sad story, nowhere in the product information do they clearly advise you that opened packages are not returnable. So if you are not near a store and can not try them on you are out of luck. You have to read the Warranty and Returns Policy in very fine print at the bottom of the web page. BAD ON YOU BEST BUY, to think an international retailer has to hide its return policy instead of being customer oriented and tell us in a clear easy to notice location that they are not RETURNABLE IF OPENED

I just got this from Officeworks today after a long search and reading lots about it on the net. Im really blown away by how good this is so far keep in mind, only one day. I couldnt hold myself because the main feature Im after the multipoint connectivity works exactly as it should. Basically, you can connect to two devices at once say a phone and tablet. While listening to audio from one if the other one activates such as a phone call coming while watching something on the tablet the audio focus will shift straight onto the other device. No connecting, disconnecting, reconnecting. Of course, this is in addition to great design, good build quality and decent materials. Not to mention great sound quality and reportedly battery life. I adore this product The sound quality is fantastic, theyre easy to use, and the noise cancelling works wonderfully. I have used these on flights, in crowded cities, etc, and I was extremely pleased with the performance. The actual audio part of these headphones cannot be beaten. However, I am sorely disappointed with how the cups have held up. You can see in the pictures I added that the fabric around the ear cushions disintegrated fairly easily this started just a few months after purchase and worsened from there. Now I dont like using them anymore because I get small black flakes of cushion in my hair. If there were another cover for the cups sold separately I would be happy to buy it, because the audio really is worth it. Sadly, until then, I likely wont be using these anymore.

I bought this to use for Conference calls and to cancel noise while cutting the grass and traveling in planes. It works well for Conference calls but I was disappointed that it didnt cut any more noise when cutting the grass than the three other companys ANCANR headpones that I paid half the price for these. Well see how well they do on the plane. They are very comfortable and the microphone pickup works well with the bluetooth connection.I was disappointed the the wire jack doesnt support the microphone, unlike my other ANCANR headphones I have. The controls on the headphones dont work with wired IPAD. The power seems to last but Im still evaluating. The fact that you have to switch on the bluetooth for the ANC to work is counter intuitive. Why do I have to switch on the bluetooth if I want it to work with my IPADBefore commending them, Ill have to see how well they handle over the next several months.

I bought this device so that I can zone out my loud coworkers and when on Noise Reduction it does just thatI love the feature that when you have to take a break from the music it pauses when you remove it.The issue that I have with the product is when I am in playback mode there is a ever so slight hiccup. It doesnt Stop playing its as if I would be playing a vinyl record and it skips. Really comfortable and block noise well. Love being able to go wireless when listening at work. Volume controls on headset dont work when they are plugged into PC so youll need a bluetooth dongle. Volume controls are not very responsive. Feels either really loud or really quiet. Sometimes there are connectivity issues, even when close by. Sometimes struggles with the 2device connection. Good range when its connected properly. For the past week I have had the pleasure of testing and now reviewing plantronics new backbeat pro 2 headphones. I have listened extensively mostly on the job 68 hours a day, in a noisy factory type environment. Here are my thoughtsNicely packaged, easily paired to iPhone 6s, iPad, less than 3hr. Charging time, no disconnection problems or dropouts. 24 hr. Battery WOWWHAT I LIKEAppearance much more streamlined than original backbeat pros, ear cups are oblong and clearly marked right and left.Comfort these are very comfortable for extended periods of time. With earrings andor glasses I can also bend and reach while wearing.Sound I think these have fantastic sound quality, a noticeable improvement compared to original backbeat pros.POSITIVE FEATURESMusic pauses when headphones are removed or placed around neck, and resumes when placed back on ears Very impressive featureNoise cancellation so… theres better out there but I think its good enough for most people, and it can be turned off.NEGATIVE FEATURESControls these have a weird rocking volume control that I find slightly annoying. The original backbeat pros had much better volume, track, open mic controls.Open mic feature oddly placed, when pressed there is a voice prompt telling me open mic is on, kinda defeats the purpose, I sometimes cant hear what is being said over the voice prompt.Class one Bluetooth these have class one Bluetooth when paired with class one device to my knowledge there are very few if any class one devices, so whats the purpose Regardless these have incredible range, but I have reservations regarding how safe class one Bluetooth is long term.BOTTOMLINEI think a combination of the original backbeat pros controls and the more streamlined lighter weight of the backbeat pro 2s would set these way ahead the the competition. However the sound quality and reasonable price certainly make these a pleasant listening experience. I dont think anyone would be disappointed with these.

I recently received these headphones and I have to say theyre incredible Not only is the audio quality top notch, but the amount of features included make it a steal at the price well below the competition. The Noise Cancelling does a solid job and allows you to really enjoy the music and sounds. While the noise cancelling is not on the same level as Bose, its more than enough to drown outside interference and when you factor in the audio quality, you have a real winner The auto sensing features are so handy and you never knew you needed it until you get spoiled by Plantronics I highly recommend these cans

Very good quality headphones, with excellent sound quality and noise cancelling. Can have slight glitches with the sensors causing the music to stop and start, but this can be easily solved by removing the headphones momentarily. Not quite on par with more expensive, higher quality headphones, but overall good value for money, great choice if they are on sale save some cash

These headphones sound very good, and the noisecancelling is more than decent given that this is a midrange headset. I read very positive professional reviews before buying and they were correct these are great headphones. Its ludicrous to compare them to premium headsets like Bose and Sony… These cost me less than half what Bose QC35 would have cost me. 100 satisfied. Long battery life. I have tried the Sony MX1000 and the Bose QC35, and yes they offer noticeably better NC, but the sound quality itself is the same. Been wearing them for a few hours a day, and no regrets.

The BackBeat Pro 2 cannot be beat for the price. The headphones sound fantastic, just enough base, but not overwhelming, and very accurate mids and highs. The overall build quality is just as good, if not better than anything from Beats. They consistently pair with both my iPhone and iPad everything single time I use them. The battery life is exceptional, even with Noise Cancelling on. The Noise Cancelling isnt as powerful as others who all cost much more but it is more than sufficient for air travel. Features like the auto music pause when you remove them is better than you would think and the feature that lets outside noise in with the flick of a button is also great. I would highly recommend these, especially if you arent interested in paying twice as much for competitors.

I bought these Headphones at the end of January 2018 after reviewing many headphones. The price was extremely competitive compared to other headphones in the same segment.I was experiencing some issues with the head band sensor and after updating the Firmware and disabling the head band sensors the headphones are exactly what I was hoping for.The reason I disabled the head band sensors was that I was getting intermittent pausing of the music when I turned my head or looked down at my phone, on occasion if I was chewing something it would also cause the playback to pause or stop completely. It now works the way I want where it does not pause the music if I turn my head, look down or chew something. I might enable the head band sensors at some stage to see if the firmware update resolved my issue. The sound quality is exceptional especially since I listen to house music and with me disabling the head band sensors it sounds like the bass which is high and sometimes distorted slightly is no spot on with absolutely no distortion.I am extremely happy with the headphones and recommend them to whom ever would like good Noise Cancelling functionality and exception sound quality for the price you pay.Great product.

Disclosure I received a complimentary product from Plantronics. My first impression as I opened the box was stylish, but would it perform Normally when I put on a pair of headphones it is to disconnect from the day. It is an intimate moment for me and the music that I love to hear. I was impressed with the BackBeat Pro 2s ability to produce such deep warm bass. The treble is crisp but what I think impressed me the most was its ability to produce such clean mids. Voices clear as a live performance. Like an artist or composer would like you to experience it. You can tell if a particular sound is coming from the drummer tapping his sticks on the rim of his drum or whether it is just a keyboard. I have used them in every environment. Indoors, outdoors, in a vehicle and around machinery. The noise cancellation could use a little improvement but at this price point it is unmatched. I would prefer just a little more volume for old tracks that are not recorded as high but that is just my personal preference as I listen to music rather loud. Overall 95 of what I played was at 34 volume and I was very pleased. Combine that with what feels like a never ending battery and these headphones have not left my side. As technology in the cell phone industry continues to become even more wireless Plantronics has used their decades of experience in this type of technology to make a headset with every option and feature at your finger tips. I only read the instructions after using them to see if there was anything that I missed and to my delight I had not. The ease of use, sound and reputation make these in my opinion one of if not the top performing wireless headset anywhere around its price range.

These headphones are fine they give out good audio quality and do what you expect from them. They are on the heavy side and get tiresome to wear after a while. The sensors to detect your head a fine but about 13 of the time there is a clicking sound that happens for about 3 seconds when pairing and when music is unpaused for a while, I dont know if this is just my pair or not. The voice that tells you when the headphones are paired, changed into different modes and tells you youre at max volume gets pretty annoying and I wish it could be changed out for a quick beep like other popular devices.

I have had these headphones now for two years and in that span of time have returned them twice. First time Sam was not coming through the headphones it was coming out broken up second time I sent them back there was no more sound coming out of the headphones when they do work the sound is I would say comparable to all the big brands but like the title of the review said thats where it stops . These are not headphones made to wear for a long period as he become very painful to wear first, second of all dealing with customer service is a pain in the you know what, in comparison to the other brand name headphones out there starting with B.The biggest issue I have with these headphones is there a patent silencing of the headphones as soon as you take them off your head, the problem is the second that you have a slight movement of your head headphones goes off if you turn your head to the right to the left down you scratch the back your neck headphones goes off it is just a pain and for me its a game changer the quality of the built as you will see in the picture is sub par…enough said

Have been using the headphones on and off for a week now and am very happy with them. Initial impressions were that the cans looked too small to be comfortable but this isnt the case. They fit well and are comfortable though the longest I have personally worn them would be around 1 hour. Sound quality is very good for music and audiobooks and when using for phone calls I was very surprised by the quality of not only the sound but also the microphone quality. I have only charged them up once when I first received them and after what would add up to probably a good several hours of use the battery is still reporting as high so battery life appears to be quite strong. I was also pleasantly surprised by the connection speed with bluetooth to my phone. After putting them on and switching on they report power on and battery life and that my phone is connected in under 10 seconds. The noise cancelling works well although it isnt perfect it still gives very acceptable performance. If I had to pick cons they would be the media control buttons located on the left can dont feel very solid which I would expect for the price range and the supplied 3.5mm cable for wired use and the usb cable have the feel of cheap generic cables you would buy at any electronics store. All told a very good product for the price and well worth the investment if you are looking for a very good mid range wireless noise cancelling headphone.

I have been using the Backbeat Pro 2 for the last three weeks on planes and at home. The battery is great as I can take long flights without being concern about recharging. Volume control on the side works great and easy to adjust. The pouch allows me to insert my tablet inside too and have all my gear when boarding or leaving the plane. Noise cancelling works great on planes and in noisy areas. Not having a cable attached gives freedom to move around without getting tangled when getting up in the middle of a flight. Even if using them for a long time, my ears do not end up sore. Connecting the cable to the inflight entertainment with the additional cable provided works awesome.I like the feature that interrumps the music or stops the movies when you remove the headphones when someone talks to you for a few seconds. Music and movie resumes right away when back to your head. The price was great and it is really worth to have these headphones. Awesome product

Ive used this model and its predecessor and both were excellent headphones packed full of features, comfortable, attractively designed and with great sound quality. The noise cancelling is really good. Headphones are very compact and protected in their included hardshell travel case. Nifty feature that they can be plugged in with audio cable instead of Bluetooth if desired. Rechargeable battery lasts many many hours, far longer than expected.

I am on a plane approximately 45x per year and was looking for an over ear solution upon growing tired of various in earearbud devices. When I am not flying, I am on a train to my office and was looking for superior quality and ease of an upgraded device experience. Many thanks to the folks that provided both written and video reviews of BBP2 and similar devices. I was sold on these as a result of the details I read, my experience with Plantronics in the enterprise and the feature set. There are many similar headphones that provide similarsame features. As would be expected, each brand attempts to create a differentiated product in hopes to obtain a customer. Plantronics straighforward marketing of great all around sound, high quality and killer battery life led me to purchasing these. Based on my research coupled with 2 months of usage, lead me to believe the BBP2 is at the low end of pricing when compared to likefeatured and quality headphones.Comfort This is critical to me. I intended to wear these 4 consecutive hours. Real life experience has shown that 8 hours of wear is a breeze. They are comfortable on the ears, head and neck.Sound I listen to a wide variety of audio including music, soundtracks, books, etc. I decided to avoid cliches and just state that the sound is absolutely spectacularConnectivity Bluetooth has been flawless and simple.Noice Cancellation I was not expecting this feature since I was use to buds. I am in love with the NC on BBP2.Open Mike This is another very welcomed feature that I use regularly. It is wonderful to keep the comfortable headphones on and have a conversation very easily. It blows some folks away.Sensors One issue that may be unique to me is that the sensors that pause audio when resting the headphones on my shoulders are sometimes activated while eating. I turned this feature off and do not miss it. It is cool and I am certain that those who use it love it.In short, I am THRILLED and can absolutely recommend these for road warriors.

I quite like these headphones. Sounds nice, the noise cancelling is good but not great, and they look and feel pretty good. The battery life is solid and there is a convenient way to press a button and see how much battery is remaining and i have few complaints. There are some minor flaws however Cons While I really like the feature that playspauses music automatically when you put onoff the headphones, it screws up the music if you try wearing a hat underneath the headphones. I would not recommend if you regularly wear headphones over your hat. The mic isnt very good quality according to those Ive called whilst using the headphones I dont believe the mic works if you use the headphones with the 3.5mm cord connection. This ruins the ability to use it as a gaming headset by plugging it into a PS4 controller. Good headphones overall, Im pleased with my purchase specially since I got them on sale. Could be a little better with a better, more feature full mic, and the ability to turn off the AutoPlay feature.

I like it.ANC works well for droning background noise, usually Im surprised at the sounds that go away even in my fairly quiet office. The headphones have a sensor that pauses audio on my iPhone whenever I take them off, then starts it again when I put them back on. This feature is genius. The foam is firm but comfortable. I wish the part that goes over my ear was bigger, but theyre still pretty comfortable. They connect great to my phone every time. The Open Mic feature turns up the outside volume, but it sounds weird. So I usually just take off the headphones if I want to listen.

Ive only had these a couple of days, but Ive been wearing them almost constantly. Sounds great at all frequencies noise cancelling is pretty good, could be a bit better compared to the big boys but for the price, the slight difference isnt a problem for me. The tiny print guide almost requires a magnifying glass to find the little pictures, but after playing around for a few minutes, everything pretty much makes sense. Set up and blue tooth pairing was a breeze and the rest of the well done add ons were also pretty easy to figure out and I think will become second nature very quickly.I have had mine on for about 20 hours long airplane trips right out of the box without charging and it still shows 2 blue lights, so the 24 hour use period seems about right.Overall, Plantronics has done a great job, delivering a quality product at a reasonable price. Nice Job

I bought these because my phone lacks a port for wire. they sound great and feel nice. good queality but ive got one beef with them, Power lines are the death of these. everytime I go close to any power lines that have more then one wire its constant cut out, maybe its just my pair but its something to consider when buying. the part that says they come off your ears and stops music sometimes gets stuck in reverse as well so the music dosnt play on ears but does when off.But they do sound great and are good quality

Summary Immersive sound, more bass, less midrange and treble. Excellent fit and finish. Took a few pairings to get controls working. Noise canceling not noticeably apparent. Automatic pause can get annoying. Very appealing product.Unboxing Very stylish packaging. When you slide the inner box out and open it, its like opening a present. Remove the seal holding black tissue paper, peel the paper back, and an elegant 2 compartment grey cloth case is revealed. One drawstring compartment holds the phones, the other zippered compartment holds a USBmini cable and a malemale stereo adapter. Look and feel of a high end product.Setup and pairing Effortless with my iPhone. Took a few tries with my laptop. Once paired with the laptop, did not get controls working until I deleted and repaired the device. Once properly paired, controls playpause, forwardreverse, volume worked. If the iTunes app is not open on your Mac, pressing the Play button launches iTunes. Similarly, with the phone, I had to delete and repair and power cycle the Pro 2s before the controls worked.Listening I chose Emerson, Lake and Palmers Brain Salad Surgery album which has a mix of vocal and solo guitar, as well as more complex instrumental arrangements. Playback was very satisfying, immersive, and detailed. For comparison, I used wired phones from a wellrespected Japanese consumer product giant, often mentioned as reference headphones by some audio writers and websites. The Pro 2s have deeper bass and slightly more shrill treble, but were not fatiguing to listen to over a long period. Using the supplied 3.5mm malemale connector, the headphones will work without the power on as passive headphones, but the noise canceling features and music controls dont work. As far as I can tell, neither will the microphone for phone calls.Ergonomics Excellent fit and finish, easy to adjust to my head, nicely padded top band and ear cups. The ear cups do not look replaceable. The controls work with a light touch, and once you know the volume adjustment is not a wheel, but more like a circular switch, it becomes natural to use. They are heavier than my wired phones, but they pack more electronics in them. Not tiring to wear.Phone calls After the initial issues with setup, call quality was fine and the person on the other end of the call could hear me clearly. Phone calls will pause music.Noise canceling features The ear cups fit well and do a good job of reducing external noise. I ran a Roomba vacuum near me to try to see how the noise canceling worked but did not notice much difference. In both cases, the sound of the music is what I heard, so the acoustic isolation of the ear cups might have been enough. My private jet was unavailable I dont have one so I could not test on an airplane. I did not take it on a bus or subway either.Open mic This feature allows you to be more receptive to ambient sounds like when someone is calling you to supper. However, I found this to be very sensitive. The music gets stopped when the noise is detected. Id prefer a tap on the shoulder to get my attention, and if I was walking in traffic, I would not wear these headphones.Auto pause When used in wireless mode, removing the right ear cup pauses the music. Nice idea but if you move your head or jaw, this feature could cause the music to stop at undesirable times. Putting the headset back on normally starts up the music, but this does not always work. This auto pausereplay can be disabled. I plan to disable it for my use.I received these headphones from the manufacturer in exchange for an honest review. If I was in the market for a noise canceling phone, I would give these serious consideration for sound quality. I was not able to adequately evaluate the noise cancelling features and would advise a prospective owner to test this more extensively in her own noisy environment before making a commitment.

Owned for 2 years with average use, ear cup material has flaked off and worn out and the headset now no longer charges when plugged in. The sound quality was good and noise cancelling good but one major flaw with this headset is how much nonsense it yells at you when you first turn it on or use any of the buttons. Battery medium, phone 1 connected, phone 2 connected, noise cancelling on, etc etc. Most of these voice alerts could and should instead be beeps or not used at all.

I will start of with the packaging of the wireless headset . The packaging is great. It looks fancy from the box and everything in it. I also like the fact that it comes with a case, which makes it convenient to carry around with anywhere you go.With regards to the Bluetooth connectivity of the device, it took me a while to connect to it, after first paired. Previously, it was connected to my 2 devicesphone tablet but I already turned off the Bluetooth of his devices before I tried connecting to my Friend s iPhone that way He can experience the sound quality. I dont know if thats a possible reason why it didnt connect right away. We tried turning onoff the power button for like 3 or 4 times including my Friend s iPhone Bluetooth. Finally after 4 tries, it connected. After that, the experience was great. I must say that Im impressed with the sound quality of the headset. I also like the sensor feature of the device that when you remove it from your ear, it will pause and then when you put it back, it will continue where you left of. I find it so smart. Kudos for that. The buttons of the device are also easy to use.Another feature I liked is that it has microphone wherein if youre listening to a music and youve noticed that your friend is saying something to you, you can just turn on the microphone button and you can hear whatever heshe is saying. Overall, it is a great product. Aside from that it is also innovative, has new features that other headset doesnt have. With regards to the price, its a bit pricy but I think it is worth it.

The first one I got kept making clicky noises and loosing their bluetooth connection to my phone or iPad. I returned them and the new pair faired well at first, but barely work now after 5 months. The bluetooth connection is often partial, e.g. the sound control will sometimes work, sometimes not, and the headset keeps loosing its bluetooth pairing to my iPad. Oh, and the clicky noises are back…. Not worth the money

While I dont have a great deal of experience with noise cancelling or premium headphones, Im well pleased with these Sound is great The noise reduction is surprisingly good. I actually didnt realize how much ambient noise there was in my office until it was dampened Most importantly these dont make my ear drums feel wierd when the noise cancellation is active. Quality look and feel as well I just wish the model I purchase came with a hard protective case.

The Backbeat Pro 2 is my first pair of wireless ANC headphones, so here is my honest review of the headphones The carry pouch is really nice, made from pretty material. Inside you will find a charger cable and 5mm headphone cable to plug into the headset, which will let you use it even when the battery is flat. The headphones do not come with its own adapter, only the charging cable, and the 5mm headphone cable feels very small and flimsy, so caution would be advised. The headphones themselves are very sturdily built. Definitely not the most attractive headsets to look at, but they arent bad. The pad lining is very soft and comfortable along with the padding on the top of the headphones. I work long night shifts and so far havent had any real comfort issues with these headphones. Of note, the ear cups are not very large, and for a larger person such as myself, the fit can be a little bit tight. If you want wriggle room for your ears, this may not be the right headset for you. Using my S9 I have had no issues with any of the buttons on the side, they all work flawlessly and are very convenient. Never had any signal issues, even at extended distances. Battery life has been incredibly as well, used it in Bluetooth mode only for 2 working days and its only down 15. The ANC on the Backbeat Pro 2 isnt the most amazing you can get, but it does do a good job at reducing excess noise, especially at the higher frequencies. Its been a great boon for someone who drives and commutes a lot. Do not expect it to totally isolate you from the outside world, but it will reduce noise disturbing your listening experience. The open miclistening mode is extremely helpful, flick a switch, and the ANC shuts off the mics on the headset actually help amplify the sound in your headset so you dont need to take it off to hear anything. Click of a button, youre back to your ANC listening experience, awesome for catching announcements on flights etc. The Backbeat Pro 2 also has a sensor that automatically pauses the music when you take the headset off. I have personally not have had any issues with this, it works as it should but it may not be ideal for people wanting to use this in a gym environment. Now, for the most important part sound. As other reviews already make clear, the sound of the Backbeat Pro 2 is noticeably bottom heavy. You will find kicks and bass much more accentuated than the mids and treble. The headset can handle almost any amount of bass you throw at it without any noticeable distortion, if you are into that kind of thing. Personally I found the strength of the kicks and certain bass sounds became a bit painful to listen to for long periods of time. However it is fairly easy to fix using your phones equalizer and I now have no issues with it. Its important to note that when using the headset in Bluetooth mode, you sound quality will decrease and the strength of the bass and kick seems to increase a bit too. This was not an issue for me, but it may be for some people. For the optimum listening experiencing, using the cable will provide the highest quality, but the quality in Bluetooth mode is extremely good to. Verdict For its price range this headset knocks it out of the park. It has its own share of kinks but most can be worked around. The sound of the Backbeat Pro 2 is warm and bottom heavy and can handle any amount of bass you throw at it. The sturdy design and great little features make this a worthwhile buy for anyone looking for good bluetooth headphones that will sound great and last a long time

Was looking for universal workleisure wireless bluetooth set andpicked up BB Pro 2 based on previous great experience with Plantronics products.Generally speaking, I like the soundsignature, quite clear and on warm side, though might not please bass heads.Mostly listening to jazz and various kinds of electronic music.ANC leaves place for improvement, turning on will reducenoise level marginally but not completely. Very impressedwith comfortable ear cups, lightweight and could easily keepheadphones on for few hours. What I didnt like Blue Tooth connectivity can get lost or interrupted completely or partially, especially on the move. Im using BB Fit with same sound sources withoutany issue in same environments. Mustve to do with Bluetooth in BB Pro 2. Upon arrival the faux leather parts, like cups had a pronounced strongplastic odor. Wore off with time. Skype for business compatibility, the mic mute functionality doesnt work.

Pros Some of the most comfortable headphones Ive ever worn. Extremely soft, not too tight. I can wear them for hours. They sound fantastic. The bass could be tighter, but other than that the sound is crystal clear, with a nice wide soundscape. Noise cancellation is great. Not perfect, but great. Doesnt block out voices completely but the very loud air conditioning in my office is completely erased while ANC is turned on. Lots of great qualityoflife features, such as pausing music when you turn your headphones off, and Open Listening to hear your surroundings through the mic. Fairly small for overear headphones so you dont look like a tosser wearing them while commuting. Build quality feels very solid. Not a huge fan of the wood pattern on the ears, but it looks a lot better on the Special Edition than the original. Other than that they look great. Cons As mentioned, the bass is a bit thick, not as punchy or balanced as it could be. This is only even worth mentioning because of the very high quality of the audio overall. Conclusion What a fantastic pair of headphones, especially for the price. If it werent for the mildly overbearing bass, I would give them a 1010.

This product isnt a Bose headset and I like many assume Bose is the way to go for a quality product but after research and comparing pricing i made my choice to buy this headset vice a Bose or other higher priced product. This headset is the best electronic choice I have made in a very long time hands down. It does it all with class and perfect functionality. Its bluetooth range is crazy long, I can be outside cleaning the car in the driveway with my iphone inside on the kitchen table and the connection is perfect. The length of charge is nothing short of wow, for days of full usage before needing a charge and it tells you when you are at a medium or full charge etc. If my cell gets a call, I can touch my right ear piece and answer the call and talk without any noticeable fact I am not actually using my phone which is in another part of the house at the time, the music stops I answer, finish end the call with another quick tap on the earpiece and the music starts back up perfectly. I can advance songs or go back as I feel with just a simple ear touch, it just has great functionality. Three of my friends have bought this headset since i have based on my feedback and said thank you, best headset they have ever bought. You want a amazing product, this is the one.

I bought these on a Monday morning and opted for 2 day shipping. But they didnt ship out until the following Monday. So essentially dont waste your money on 2 day shipping. They arent AmazonNow for my review.Pros1. Excellent volume loudness2. Great highs and mids but not too much bass3. Volume rocker is easy wheel on left ear muff that is easy to use.4. Pass through feature allows you to cut music and use mic for talking to someone without taking off the headphones5. Headphones have large L and R on the speaker covers so you never have to guess which way to put them on.6. Really soft and comfortable7. Ear muffs swivel for storage8. Music pauses when you remove them from your head.9. The range is insane. Doesnt cut out even through some walls.10. When you have them on the world disappears11. Battery life is close to 24hrs of continuous use12. Announces battery level when you turn them on.13. Call quality on both ends is awesome. Sounds just like you are NOT on a Bluetooth device and just holding your phone as normal.Cons1. Brown pair looks nicer than the bland gray color that is the limited edition. So you dont get a hard carry case for them like the limited edition ones come with. IMO not worth the extra 50 for the bland gray color and the hard case. The soft bag the brown ones come with will work for most people. These would make a fantastic gift . Way better than Beats and Bose. I considered buying each of those.

Although the headset feels somewhat heavy because of my soft head, its still extremely comfortable, and you can choose between 3 modes Normal mode. Suppressing ambient sound youll still hear people talking, though you wont understand them. Open microphone all the sounds around you will be amplified, allowing you to hear the smallest foot step, or listening to people talking to you without having to remove your headset. It also has feature to pick calls and playpause music though the play and pause button doesnt work for Youtube.Otherwise, it has a very long battery autonomy. The website says 24 hours of continuous use. I was able to use it for 3 days and still have 4 dots out of 5, until I have to charge with the provided USB cable. The only real drawback about this headset I have is, you cant use its microphone properly on Windows. If you try and use the microphone, youll stop hearing whatever you were listening, and only hear ambient sound as if you switched to open microphone.

I bought these headphones about a month ago, because I am working in an open office with a lot of background noise. While I am by no means an absolute audiophile I do enjoy high quality sound and more importantly great headphones. At home I have a couple of 10 year old Sennheisers, that are pretty good by any standard. However these headphones blow them out of the water, especially considering that they are wireless Bluetooth and IR. The sound is very rich and easy to control. I have them hooked up to my cheapo Samsung Advant phone and I seriously could not complain about anything. The distance of the wireless is insanely good. I can walk easily 6070 feet from my phone and still get great reception. The headphones are very comfortable to wear and the battery last for ever and a day. I am seriously surprised at how good they are and how much headphone technology has advanced over the last 10 years.

Last year I opted for the BackBeat Sense over the previous model of the BackBeat Pro, mostly because I thought the Pro looked a bit too big and might grow uncomfortable over time, and I wear my headphones a lot.Well it looks like the fine people over at Plantronics read my mind and managed to fit the impressive tech of the Pro into a 35 smaller formfactor and at an even lower price. Glad I waitedSoundwise, the lows are better represented than in the Sense, as would be expected out of larger cans. The noise canceling is a new feature to me over the Sense, but honestly not something I have a need for. Its fine. The microphone passthrough is handy for eavesdropping on the conversations of coworkers when they think youre not paying attention, and you dont even need to turn your music off to use it Battery life seems to be asadvertised and my reservations about the comfort during extended use were unwarranted. Theyre much lighter than they look, while maintaining the feeling of a solid, quality product. Initially I did have trouble adjusting to the overear ovals as opposed to onear circles, until I realized that they can be tilted slightly, allowing them to form a good seal over my ears. The padded headband is easily the most comfortable Ive experienced on any headset, making it more comfortable than even lighter headsets Ive tried.Just as with the Sense, the fit and finish are second to none. Aesthetically I find the browns and blacks of the Pro 2 to be much more my taste than the grays of the original. At this price, and for these features, there doesnt seem to be much competition out there… yet.Highly recommended. Buy them, you wont be disappointed.

Growing up as a child Of the 1980s, I had the honor of being exposed to some of the best motion picture sequels ever created. The Empire Strikes Back, Superman II, and Indiana Jones The Temple of Doom. Here I am some 30 years after those sequels were released, and I am happy to inform you a Fourth great Sequel existPlantronics scores big with The Backbeat Pro 2. They have made the product more comfortable, the speakers and the bass is even better than the 2014 model. The buttons and even the Pairing process itself has been redesigned to perfection. They even have the Plantronics Hub, an app you can download to track your Headset when it is lost or stolen, and it also provides you with inform ation about your backbeat 2 headset. Lets not forget about the ability to have 2 devices paired to the headset simultaneously as well. As a Backbeat Pro Fan and avid user, I was very much looking forward to Plantronics adding IPx4 Waterproof sweatproof coating and that is somewhat disappointing. That being said Plantronics has still Created a 5 Star product that I will continue to praise and support.

These headphones are not great but they are very good The feature set is amazing. The battery life is amazing They are also very comfortable for linn term wear. I also love the way they look although thats totally subjective. The things that hold them back are the sound and the noise cancellation. The sound is slightly harsh in the highs over pronounced mids and a little light in the lows bass. They dont sound bad at all but they definitely dont hit hard in the low end. The noise cancellation is really just ok at best. Comparing these to Sony, audio technica or bose it doesnt measure up. If I had to guess it probably covers 6070 of ambient noise. The headset sounds great when plugged in my work laptop but when connecting via bluetooth, the sounds skips. I have downloaded the latest version of the software but the problem persists. The laptop is sitting directly in front of me so there is nothing blocking the signal. I want this to work because the cable gets in the way of my keyboard and I like to listen to musicblock sounds throughout the day. This is an expensive headset and it should connect better. Got them for late night movies and gaming without disturbing the family. Already have a Plantronics Blackwire headset that works beautifully so decided to give these cans a try for a wireless counterpart. They do not disappoint. Sound great, battery lasts a hefty while, and most impressively, wireless bluetooth performance is top notch. Given the use case, I purchased a long audio cable in case bluetooth lag was bothersome, since I cant stand sync issues when movie watching. But no need to use it. I cant notice any delay, nor any pops and cracks common with other bluetooth headsets. Overall, very satisfied. Only thing the usual competitors that cost twice as much have on these is the ANC, which is useless here, certainly not on par with other more premium offerings. But soundwise these are just as good. So for my usage, not commuting but late night listening, they blow away the competition in its price range.

I waited almost a month for these to become available in January. I guess Christmas sales were good. After much research and reviewing several reviews I was eager to get the Backbeat Pro 2s. And at the price point, I was very eager. Unfortunately, while the features on these are awesome. They just dont work like you want them to. So what you end up with is a set of headphones with awesome features that dont work that well. Perhaps thats why theyre only 200. Here are the details…First of all, let me start by saying that I want it all. I want and expect my devices to do everything I want so my bar is set high. Keep that in mind as you read this review. I want headphones that plays music beautifully. Deep powerful bass, full midrange, and crisp highs without being too tinny or too warm. I want headphones that is comfortable for hours. I want headphones that performs extremely well as a headset. When I take a call I want my listener to hear me clearly and pleasantly in spite of my surroundings. I want solid noise cancelling. I want great bluetooth range so I can unexpectedly walk away from my phone without skipping a beat. I want good, intuitive controls that work well. I want long lasting battery life. And, I want features. The more features the better for me. If that means more buttons, Im okay with that because Ill learn how to use them. Well, the Backbeat Pro 2 only hits the mark on a couple of these things. And a couple of those marks are hit offcenter. Read on to learn more.ConsVolume wheel is unusual. Theres a 10mm or so play in the wheel in each direction. At first I thought it was broken since it didnt turn or lower the volume. I quickly discovered that you have to rotate the knob a bit further to control volume. This is truly awkward and seems unnecessary. Why not just have the rotation motion adjust the volume immediately Perhaps theres a design decision that was made around that but nevertheless, the design of the volume control is not as good as it could be. Theres a distinguishable physical point where you engage the volume control. Its like you suddenly hit an button at the end of the rotation that depresses an unloaded spring that you need to push further on to get it to change the volume. Does my description sound confusing Well so is the experience. With that being said, you get used to it.The mute button is a great feature. No, its actually an awesome feature. One that makes me think, why dont all headsets offer this but it comes with mixed blessings. Its a great way to prevent you from having to unlock your phone and get back to the phone call to mute a call, but once its on, theres no real way to tell that its on. Yes, theres an audible reminder few minutes to remind you that mute is on but thats not often enough to let you know for most practical purposes. For those of you that regularly do conference calls, you know that knowing if youre on mute or not is critical to successful of your participation. Because of this, Ive found myself talking through a conference with no one hearing me. Embarrassing You can also lift the right ear cup and when you reset it on your ear, the voice prompt will remind you that its on or off. This is helpful, but not ideal. In reality, this is an issue with just about any device that includes a mute function. My phones mute feature doesnt remind me that its on so why should my headphones Well, this is where the headphones could make an improvement in that experience and theyre close, just not quite there. I suggest not using the mute feature and simply relying on your phone. Plantronics could have incorporated a soft beep every 20 seconds or so. That would have made a world of difference.Call quality. This is a touchy subject and I think the environment affects call quality. Unfortunately, while Im sitting in my quiet office, which has a lot of echo due to lack of wall art and a tile floor, people say they can barely hear me and I cant adjust that. If I step outside the office, I sound OK. And the disconnects. At least once per every two calls, I get a phone disconnected message and then it reconnects and my call continues. This is just shoddy quality from something that costs 200. Also, I had my callers report much better quality of my voice during phone calls than the Sony MDR1000xs. Those things actually suck at phone calls, unfortunately. That being said, the Backbeat Pro 2 is no where near the quality of my dedicated bluetooth headset a Jawbone Era in this case, or even the stock iPhone headphones. If you want to use these for phone conferencing, be prepared to hear complaints. The music pause feature when removing and placing the headphones is a great concept, however, after five days of use the feature started faltering. I noticed this at first when I wore these over a baseball cap. My music would suddenly start cutting out. At first I would check my bluetooth connection. Then my music app. Suddenly it dawned on me, Could it be the auto onoff feature It is. Its apparent that the onoff function sensor is in the right ear can. I cant quite figure out what triggers the function but as the headphone break in, the sensitivity of the sensor whatever it is that detects whether the headphones are on your head or not begins to cut off music randomly. I can now get my music to stop simply by yawning. Regardless of how awesome this feature could be because when it works, its awesome but nobody wants their music suddenly cutting in and out. This is also an issue during phone calls because whenever the headphones are used for calls the voice prompt says, Mute is now off when you remove and replace the headphones during a call. So, due to the sensitivity of the auto onoff feature youll be on a call and just the movement of your jaw can cause the headphone to think youve removed and replaced it, so youll get that annoying voice prompt. The noise canceling performance on the Backbeat Pro 2 is poor. I mean really poor. Of course, Im comparing it to the Bose QuietComfort 35, which are a bestinclass headset when it comes to noise canceling, and also the Sony MDR1000x, which also features phenomenal noise canceling. But its not the noise cancelling abilities thats the main issue with the Backbeat, even though the Backbeat Pro 2s pale in comparison to the Bose and Sony sets. You could almost say that the Backbeat Pro 2 does not have noise cancelling, but rather, noise shifting. The noise canceling on the Backbeat Pro 2 seems to be adaptive. Sometimes it seems to work at different levels at different times, but its never enough. Want to block out the dishwasher in the background Not always, sometimes they will slightly, sometimes they wont. Want to block out your coworkers yelling at each other by the water cooler Not these, youll be able to hear them when. But the worst part is that the noise canceling ruins the music and your phone calls. Theres a noise cancelling chirp that happens every 10 seconds. If you have NC on without any music, you can hear a very low but audible chirp every 10 seconds or so. With noise canceling on, the headphones also produce a crackling hum thats present when youre wearing them without music playing. The funny thing about noise canceling, regardless of brand, is that they, well, make noise. The Sony MDR1000x has a mild hiss, but at least its consistent and it sounds like its a high quality hiss, if there is such a thing. That seems a fair tradeoff for the quality of the noise canceling that you get. The Backbeat Pro 2s the noise canceling noise is more of a crackly sounding hum and with the 10 second chirp, it is simply a really annoying experience. The hum is only audible for about ten seconds after stopping your music. Fortunately, it stops about 10 seconds after stopping your music or ending your phone call, then the headphones go into a more silent mode, but the 10 second chirp is still there. For me this chirp is one of those things that really devalue these headphones tremendously. If youre using them to quiet your surroundings while you take a brief nap, like on a plane although the NC wont do much to dampen airplane noise, that little chirp may be the thing that keeps you up. Surprisingly, the chirp does go away but its intermittent. It comes back. You just dont know what youre going to get between songs and thats annoying. So you might ask, well, If Im not using noise cancelling, cant I just turn it off and listen to music Unfortunately, noise canceling is the only way you get the best sound out of these headphones. Listening without NC produces flat audio with a lack of bass. So noise cancelling with the Backbeat Pro 2 is something you cant live with and without at the same time.Pros I have to keep this short because I just found out Plantronics limits the number of characters on reviews Amazing audio quality for music. Open mic is a handy feature. Controls are accessible and intuitive. Bluetooth range and battery life are insanely good. Hibernation mode is a feature that should be mandated by law, its awesomeNeutral Comfort is not great. Ear cups dont rotate outward enough to prevent pressure on my cranial nerve. Aesthetics are okayIt boils down to poor execution on some of the key features I was looking for. Unfortunately, the Backbeat Pro 2s didnt deliver for me so theyre going back to the company.

I bought these for in the office to help drown out background noise. The noise isolation is great and the sound really is excellent. These would be hard to beat at the price point. I like that I can use bluetooth or corded. Battery life is excellent as many have reported. I will say that while connected to bluetooth I sometimes get some glitchy behavior with the microphone turning on or off randomly, not always connected right away, and my computer not using it as the microphone. Bluetooth can be temperamental for any device so this doesnt bother me much and the basic connectivity and listening component works excellent and is reliable. Its more so the feature that were built for a phone dont always work as easily with my laptop. But perhaps that should be expected.

I bought the BackBeat Pro 2 almost 2 months ago. The BackBeat Pro had great reviews and Plantronics just release their v2. I bought them directly from Plantronics. Although their site is not as easy to use as the likes of Amazon, it was easy and simple enough. Product delivered as promised.Used the headphones in Planes, Train Subway. Night and day with other types of headphones. Plantronics might not have the fame of Bose and Beats, but their product are as good if not better.

I work from home a lot and have dealt with distractions for quite a while. As such I decided to find a good noisecanceling headset and was encouraged by the reviews I found for the BackBeat PRO 2. The price was very attractive, so I gave it a try. I am really happy I did. The sound is outstanding with a really strong bass response. The active noisecancellation is quite good my wife now has to tap me on the shoulder to get my attention and I really like the ease of use to control volume and to answer phone calls. Getting the internal microphone was a nice bonus I wasnt really looking for. Overall, I give the BackBeat PRO 2 a big thumbsup for performance and value and recommend it highly.Disclosure A sweepstakes entry was received in exchange for this review.

I thought these would be an improvement on the original Pro model, but theyve been rather disappointing. Yes, they are slightly less bulky, but there is less headband adjustment and the sensor sometimes switches them off because youve moved your head a little too far and it thinks youve taken them off. I dont like the new LH side volume control, which can be fiddly to use the original version has a knurled ring on the RH cup which is both accessible and accurate. The Pro 2 earcups are slightly smaller for no discernible reason maybe its a weight issue. The onoff switch has a less positive feel than before. All that said, they are competent, comfortable and the sound output is very good. If I hadnt also got the earlier version I might be a little more enthusiastic but if youre buying them expecting them to be better than the the Pro, dont bother.

I am a high school student who purchased these headphones in August 2016. I bought them because I thought the Bose QC35 were too expensive and these were a much better value and boy was I right These offer great noise cancelling for the loud bus rides with my football and soccer team. They have many great features such as the extended Bluetooth range and onear controls. They are comfortable and are an overall convenience for anyone looking to get some nice headphones without the astounding price point. Highly recommend.

Great product. Sound quality is magnificent. Controls are convenient and easy to operate. Everyone I talk to on my cell comments about the better quality and clarity over other devices I have used. Long battery life is a pleasant surprise, less time plugged in and more time wearing. After sharing features of the headphones with coworkers, several have expressed interest in purchasing device as Christmas presents. I highly recommend this device. Keep up the good work Plantronics.

Some purchases just feel like the right move, this was one of them. Ive had the opportunity to test out all the latest and greatest from Bose, Sony and Sennheiser and I have to say this has them beat. With the peace of mind knowing I spent half the money to receive in essence the same product this purchase was easy.

I have been using the Backbeat Pro 2 headphones for a couple of weeks and have been pleasantly surprised. In fact I will be selling my OPPO PM3 headphones due to enjoying the sound of the Backbeat Pro 2 headphones better. These headphones have plenty of base for me and the only disappointment is that the highs are not as clear as some headphones I have used. The sound isolation is OK, but is not up to the level of the Bose QC 15 headphones I have been using for air travel. But my Bose are not wireless.I have not worn these for long stretches of time, so cannot comment on long term comfort. The inner earcups could be a little larger. Or maybe I need my ears trimmed. That are snug but not uncomfortably so.For the price, these are excellent enjoyable cans.

These headphones are GREAT I love them. I even had my husband try them to see what he thought. His reaction was WOW These are awesome. I had to tell him hands off they are mineSeriously, the BackBeat PRO 2 are the nicest headphone I have ever used.I love the Bluetooth capability, I am not a real tech savvy person and I was able to link them to my phone right away.If you want a set of headphones to use for workouts, studying, just hanging out and listening to your favorite music you will not be disappointed in these.Well worth the investment

I ride a train for my commute, my work requires that I not be distracted, my team is a phone call away in a different state and my roommate and I have different tastes in content. These headphones fit my requirements to a tee.I bought these knowing the active noise cancelling wouldnt be as good as the best in class headphones. I knew the sound quality wouldnt be as good as my high end electrostatics. I did expect the voice quality outgoing as well as incoming to be as good as the Plantronics Voyager 5200, being a Plantronics product and with Pro in the name.Heres my opinion on these headphonesWhile the ANC could be better, it doesnt affect the sound quality of my music and its enough to stop the train and general office noise. Overall, the sound quality is pretty decent. While the ear cups could be longer, I dont have any physical ear fatigue. The disappointment for me, are the microphones. My office is by the server room, right next to the AC vent. When I make calls from the headphones, the microphones pick up the wind noise something fierce. I have to switch to my 5200, which is kind of disappointing stereo phone calls are kinda nice.Feedback for the Pro 3 give me AAC codec support, longer ear cups, wind smart and better ANC.

These were purchased solely for use with TV over bluetooth connection and thats the only way Ive used them so I cant comment on how they fare as hifi headphones.Firstly, the price is great compared to similarly specd headphones from other companies. Secondly, and more importantly for me is that Ive experienced no lag whatsoever. Connected to Samsung The Frame from about 10 distance and works perfectly. Bluetooth has paired well without the need for a transmitter which is a big bonus. The sound for televisonfilmweb is decent and clear and leans just on the bassy side, but nothing overpowering. Balance between dialogue and effectsmusic is good however Ive noticed background noisesvoices are a bit too prominent. The seal and fit is good around the ears so natural noice cancelling is decent but if im honest I havent really noticed any difference between when the ANC is turned on or off.Rotating volume dial on the left ear works well, but the onoff and anc switches are a bit awkwardly placed and get hit when removing the headphones.Generally the build quality feels on par with the price point, without feeling either cheap or high end.Battery life has been good 10 hours and recharges to high battery quickly. There is no visible battery indicator, but there is an audible cue highmediumlow when turning on the headphones.

I searched for literal months to find the right set of headphones. I bought 3 or 4 different pairs and then returned all of them, including the original backbeat pro. This version is perfect. I have large ears and a large head, but these cause absolutely no discomfort when I wear them for a long period. I listen to audio books at work all day so when I say long periods I mean 4 or 5 hours at a time. The battery life is just as advertised. I only have to charge them once a week at most with HEAVY listening.Overall these are the best I have used. If you dont want to pay 300 I never want to do that these are the headphones you need to buy.

The Best Headphone. Your search ends here nowI have had these now for 3 days I am thoroughly impressed. I came across the Backbeat Pro 1 model a couple of years ago was blown away, the Backbeat Pro 2 only improves on a word class headphone from a quiet leader in high end headphones. Plantronics has been making leading communication devices is the choice of NASA astronauts now they have put that technology into a high end consumer headphone.Being a pilot I spend my life wearing over ear headphones. The Backbeat Pro 2 sound quality is second to none I have used Bose for aviation as well as travel David Clark, Lightspeed, AKG, Beats, Sennheiser, Telex, Sigtronics the sound quality will leaving you wanting nothing more. The bass has improved over the previous model when you turn on the noise cancelling there is no loss or drop in bass or audio quality as seen with many other units including the last model. The bass is deep but not muddy or capable of a headache from long use it is also punchy when it needs to be, listening to Wake Up by Arcade Fire and you will see. The highs mids are well balanced smooth. Listening to live music is also a pleasure with the Pro 2s.As for fit finish these are lighter more comfortable than the previous model on par with any Bose as are the soft ear cups headband , great aesthetics. I like the slim sleek profile design over the last model. Up in the airplane cabin the noise cancellation really shines, you cannot even hear yourself speak, only fell your vocal vibration, early silence that puts you in your own world more so than the competition. Even the passive cancellation it very good will make the battery last for literally days. The battery life is the secret weapon here, it will literally last for days and days if not a weeks worth of travel or flights across the Oceans. The large volume wheel on the ear cup works perfectly as do the skip playpause buttons. I like how they are consolidated to one ear cup.I like how when you remove the headphones it pauses your music starts right back up when you put them on, or just leave them on use the open mic to hear your surrounding or talk to people. Making calls is also a pleasure, the dual mics cut background noise, and I use these for conference call while on the move no problem the added mic mute is a cherry on top. With the 330 range you can walk all over your home or office or backyard like never before while on a call or listening to music, works with Siri seamlessly all the while. When I search the web do comparisons I cannot find anything that checks all of the boxes like these Backbeat Pro 2s, then you add in the excellent build, premium noise cancelling, sound quality the choice is clear. Thanks Plantronics for deciding to improve on a good thing and making the best headphones.

I have previously owned the original BackBeat Pro model, which I enjoyed very much. After 3 years of daily use the ear cuffs started to break up at the seems and while the headset was still functional it just didnt look that great anymore. I relegated the old pair to outdoor use and bought myself the mk 2. I really like the aesthetics of the new model, the brown headband and ear cuffs matching perfectly with my leather jacket. They are significantly smaller and lighter than the mk 1, which is a bonus while wearing but also on the move, packed in a cabin bag etc. The ear cuffs are not as plush, but hopefully that means they are more durable than the originals. The comfort is still top notch, even while wearing glasses. The sound signature is significantly more neutral on the new model, with less bass boost and more pronounced mids, which should appeal to purists and audiophiles. This is not to say that the sound isnt engaging, far from it, but do not expect them to sound exactly like the old model. The noise cancelling has far less detrimental effect on sound quality. In noisy environments it really enhances the sound experience, not only removing background noise, but boosting frequencies that would otherwise drown in the general buzz. Battery life is still as excellent, and this despite the smaller and lighter headset. All in all, a clear winner and a step up from the older model.

I bought this to replace an off brand noise canceling headset that still works but that I had broken the earpiece mounts by cramming it into my luggage… I have not spent that much time listening to bose 35s but my 1st couple of weeks with the new backbeats have convinced me I do not need them I am hard of hearing so I am probably not the best person to give an audiophile review so I will not try. I will say the active noise canceling made a noticeable difference and the range of music I listen to seemed to sound great oldies, rock and roll and country. I also used it as a Bluetooth headset to talk on my phone with and the results were surprisingly good.

After a week or so of using the item I love it. The features are great, and you wont find some of them even on more expensive headsets. The autopause and resume feature when you take the headphones off and on is my favorite. ear fatigue is minimal, sound is pretty darn good, price is unbeatable for the features. The controls arent as complicated as some reviews say, you just need to read the directions Love the look as well. The only complaint I have is that the noise cancelling could be better, but is a great start. I can definitely hear the difference when I turn on noise cancelling, so it does work, just not as well as some competitors noise cancelling options. So if that is just a bonus feature for you I would highly recommend this headset.

The headphones are fantastic. Noisecancelling is really good not perfect but good. They are so lightweight its crazy. My last pair of noisecancelling headphones were about 3 times heavier. These are very comfortable for hours of wear as well. The controls on the left ear cup take a little to get used to but after the first day I had no issues. I love that the headphones pause your musicvideo when you take them off your head.I was on the fence getting these or the Special Edition pair Im very happy I picked these as the brown is a really cool and unique color for headphones. My only negative, which is very minor, is that I am having a tough time finding a good hard case. I would love it if Plantronics had a hard case for sale similar to the case that comes with the SE headphones.

I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself. I wanted ontheear, noisecancelling headphones, but did not want to pay 300400 … I just am not that sensitive to sound quality. Based on the reviews and my experience with Backbeat Fit bought two years ago, I decided to try these headphones. They cost 199.00 through Plantronics website.I have used them for one week and am very pleased. Sound quality is excellent and the headphones are very comfortable to wear. The noisecancellation feature does not suppress noise 100, but it is adequate. The headphones will be very useful on the commuter train. As an added bonus, the headphones make nice earmuffs outside in the NJ winter air.

Ive had these headphones for about 2 and a half years now. The call quality is not great and picks up on a lot of ambient noise, making it very difficult for people on the other line to hear you. Unfortunately, I found out today after calling customer service that these headphones are not meant to be paired with a computer, and are greatly affecting my ability to take classes that are now online due to the COVID19 pandemic. Nowhere in the website does it say that these headphones arent designed to be used with a computer, but the representative said I should have known that somehow. The only way to use them with a computer well is to buy a 100 dongle. Absolutely ridiculous.

Very happy with this. Good sound quality and the battery life is amazing. I use it all the time. The only problem Ive found is that I cant use it on some machines in the gym eg step, ski machines as it senses some sort of head movement and the audio cuts in and out. Other than that I couldnt be happier with my purchase at a special low price.

I already reviewed these on Amazon but felt compelled to come here and further comment on how great these BB Pro 2s are. Honestly I can hardly take them off my headears. I started out with the Bose QC35 and ordered the BB Pro 2 to compare and decide which ones fitmet my needsrequirements. The Bose QC35s went back to the store. Compared to the BB Pro 2 the QC35s to me sounded compressed, like my head was in a vice and just didnt let the music come through, while the BB Pro 2s are the exact opposite. The Pro 2s just let the music come through, they are very dynamic, or musical if you will. I compared the ANC between the QC35 and BB Pro 2 and the QC35 were only marginal in canceling out the noise and you couldnt even disable it if you wanted to. My test consisted of me using my 6.75 horse power lawn mower cutting my grass and honestly that lawn mower is very loud, I know its well over 85 decibels. The QC35s made it sound like an electric buzz and the BB Pro 2s were almost as quiet and on top of that I have the option of disabling ANC, or just cutting it all out via switch ANC offon Open mic without even removing the set from my head if Im somewhere I have to tune in airport or train station real quick and when I do remove it from head the music will pause until I put them back on. I really think the BB Pro 2s have set the bar for what wireless over the ear headsets should be. These are the one I also have the Sennheiser HD700s wired which to me are pretty darn good also and I dont long to put the BB Pro 2s away and listen to the HD700. Need I say anymore

I bought these about two months ago. I use them everywhere I go. The combination of comfort, ease of access, amazing battery time, great sound quality and noise cancellation all add to the experience of owning these headphones. I work mowing lawns, gym, travel and just use them daily around my house for music, connected up to my laptop it covers my whole house. Truly a high quality product and it is something I wear with pride. I might sound like a sell out but they are awesome recommend to all my friends.

This is a great product. Its not light weight but very comfortable. Sturdy and well built. Sound is great and they have several unique features that are not found on most headphones. They can be programmed for two separate bluetooth connections at the same time and they shutoff when you take them off. Battery life is great.

These have a really good sound with a nice amount of bass even with genres like Hip Hop or EDM. The estimated 24 hr battery life is pretty accurate. I havent had any issues with bluetooth connectivity. The control buttons on the headphone are large and easy to use. The ANC works to cancel a certain degree of ambient noise but keep your expectations in check. Without music playing, background noises will be reduced but youll still be able to hear it. If you plan to use these for music, think of the ANC as a bonus. Dont buy these if your looking specifically for high quality ANC. Now for the downside, I have what I consider to be above average sized ears and I find the earcups on these to be fairly shallow. When you first wear them, they feel snug but not uncomfortable but after about an hour, ill need to take them off to give my ears a break. Theyre not super heavy and the clamping force isnt too bad but I wish the earcups had a little more depth to them so they didnt press down on my ears causing fatigue over time. I really love else everything about these except I wish they were more comfortable for my larger ears so I could wear them for longer.

Ive had these headphones for about 2 years now and never had any issues. I never heard of this brand before, so I honestly wasnt expecting much…but this thing has a lot of cool features and they all work so well Noise cancelling is perfect, I use it all the time when commuting on noisy subways and trains, or when I just want to ignore any background disturbances while studying. The controls are easy to use and works great with my phone for Bluetooth connection and accepting calls I had an Apple at first then switched to an Android, so I can confirm that it is compatible with both very well. It also has a cool feature where the music would pause when taking the headphones off, so you dont have to worry about clicking the button. Also, it has an open mic option to listen to your surroundings without having to take them off at all Very comfortable, nice design, and overall great sound I especially love bass in my music, and this definitely satisfied. Definitely a quality item at a great price. Highly recommended

These headphones offer all the same features that the pricier headphones offer for half the price. Sound quality is great. Noise canceling its excellent. I own a pair of Bose headphones and these are on par with them. Downside is they are not as compact for travel and are a little bulky. Not a huge concern tho. For the price and quality I would of brought these instead of my Bose ones.

Pros Sound quality is good Reasonable priceCons Uncomfortable on my ears. The ear cups are too narrow to comfortably fit my ears for an extended period of time my ears are not larger than average to my knowledge Mediocre noise cancelling. The difference between the noise cancelling on these and the Bose QC35 is night and day. While these do help to reduce ambient noise, it always still seems to be very noticeable. I did not have this experience with the QC35. Aesthetics. Im not sure why anyone would prefer the look of fake or real animal skin on their headphones…

I received my Plantronics Back Beat Pro 2 SE headphones about a week ago and it has been pure bliss since unboxing them. The box they shipped with was even done with a lot of class and the storage bag for them was the best, very functionally elegant. The headphones themselves were mindnumbingly simple to use and setup, they were very feature loaded, truly perfect for a well seasoned audiophile like myself. I founded them to be exceedingly comfortable to wear and they didnt feel bulky at all and after a very short few minutes, I had even forgotten that I had them on, especially since I could also make and receive all of my phone calls with them.Next came the sound quality and believe me, I put them through the paces in my live music studio, even using them for my music mixing and editing tasks, the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 SE headphones exceeded every expectations that I had and even out performed my professional studio headphones across the board, for comfort, sound quality and all of the excellent features that come along with them. There are even some special apps that you could download, that allow you to customize, personalize and boost the performance of these great headphones, even more than the absolutely great job that they already do right out of the box. These headphones will actually respond very nimbly, to every change that you make with them and in my mind, that makes these the very best headphones made for everyday use, as I no longer have to switch between the Back Beat Pro 2s and my studiospecific headphones all of the time, especially while Im in the studio or even if I am on the go, to yet another pair of headphones or even my bluetooth earpiece, because they work great all of the time, whether Im using them in bluetooth mode, nearfield mode or even wired, simply the best pair of headphones I have ever ownedThe Backbeat Pro 2s ability to physically change with the conditions and the environment, is worth the ridiculously low cost of these headphones, even without the low price point theyre truly amazing, but dont take my word for it, go out and find yourself a pair of these headphones and try them out for yourself, they really must be experienced to be believed, they truly are just this good

I bought the BackBeat Pro 2 headphones as a Christmas gift to myself. No local stores had any in stock, so I was a bit apprehensive to order such a product without first being able to assess the fit, function and build quality. However, based upon the many positive reviews here and elsewhere, I made the purchase direct from Plantronics. I could not be happier. Headphones arrived promptly, and the fit, function and build quality are fantastic. Everyones different, but Ive had no ear discomfort at all when wearing for prolonged periods about 22.5hrs. on a couple of occasions.Pairing the headphones to my Galaxy S6 was simple and the music sound quality is excellent. In addition to music, I can make and receive calls, and all parties have indicated the voice quality is excellent as well. Controls work as advertised allowing one to pause playback, as well as skip forward and back. The headphones also cleverly pause playback when removed or placed around the neck if interrupted, and resume play when again placed over your ears. Finally, the active noise cancelling really does block most droning noises. Computer fans, vacuums, leaf blowers outside, airline engines only based on a couple of short flights are completely blocked. I dont have any experience in a crowded work environment, but Im sure the attenuation would make these worth their weight in gold.Overall this is a quality set of headphones that has met all my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone.

Purchased for its noise cancellation feature which is terrific. They are extremely comfortable, perfect for long days in the office or especially when taking long flights. On one long international flight the noise cancellation was intermittently working which was annoying mid sleep. Since the last firmware update, things appear to have normalised. With regards to phone calls, Ive had people struggle to hear me clearly on the other end regardless of standard voice calls through the mobile phone or Internet based calls via phone or PC apps.

They are very comfortable. Battery life is exquisite. But if you wear a winter hat then put the headphones over it, the sensors that turn the music on and off dont activate. Its an awesome feature but should have the ability to deactivate it. They have good sound. Not amazing but for 150 cheaper than bose you cant complain. Solid low end. Other than the hat thing I am really enjoying them.

Ive had the Back Beat Pro 2 for a few weeks and couldnt be more pleased. They are very comfortable around the ears and head. The sound quality is tremendous. You can really hear the highs and lows when playing music. I also use them when on conference calls and the quality of the microphone is outstanding. They seem to be constructed very well. Im also impressed with both the Noise Cancelling ability and the open listening mode as well. Two thumbs up for this headset.

I am really enjoying my Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 headphones. The design is sleek and classy, they arent too bulky and have a little bit of a wood grain look on the sides and a leather look and feel over the band. The sound quality is excellent and they are comfortable to wear. It was super easy to pair these headphones with both my PC and my Android phone and I love that they can be paired with 2 devices at the same time….saves me a lot of time when I want to switch from one device to the other. The dial for volume along with the buttons for playback function are great, and easy to find and the features are phenomenal…the noise cancellation works like a charm, and I love the open mic feature that allows me to hear my daughter when she comes to talk to me while Im listening to something in the headphones. Normally, I have to hold up a finger to put her on hold and then pause my video or song and take off my headphones and then have her repeat herself. Now, I can hear her the first time and have a conversation with her on the spot without all the scrambling and pausing of things. All in all, I think these headphones are fantastic and Im thoroughly enjoying them

    Hey You is taken

i bought these a couple months ago. they have really good sound considering its playing over bluetooth. i have seen issues with the song stopping and having to start from the device. it happened to me a few times until i realized i was connected to another device at the same time. when i disconnected tje other device the issue stopped. they are comfy but the spring in them is a little too tight or my head is a little too big. either way after a few hours i find myself changing out to something else. hopefully it will loosen up over time. im glad i didnt have to spend 300400 for good set of headphones.

I was looking for wireless headphones, and had previous good experience with this company so I decided on these. I was impressed with the packaging, which is the first thing that impressed me. The headphones themselves are really nice looking, and comfortable to wear. I have a pretty big head, so I think these headphones should fit just about anyone. The headphones actually have good bass, which is a plus since I was just looking to use them casually. And I really like how the buttons were placed on the device, I picked up how to use them in less than an hour. The last thing I think worth mentioning is the button for open listening, which you can use to drown outside noise or not.

I received a pair of these headphones and the features are great. You can use them for complete noise cancellation or turn where you still hear the music but can be aware of your surroundings. These sound great and timing of release is great especially when iPhone just came out with I7 with no headphone jack. These would make a great compliment to that phone since the performance and options of the headphones. I have been a Plantronics customer for many years. Sure there are products at a higher retail but I would stick with Plantronics based on bang for your buck
