I had previously said it works with Olympus. It does, but the image stabilization does not recognize the teleconverter. The 300 mm lens gets IS for 300 rather than 600 mm. It still works well, but you do need a higher shutter speed.

I finally received the lens and was able to use the teleconverter. All that it said it was and more

I am using this with the PL50200mm, which is an exceptional lens. This TC is tricky. IF you use it with the lens at maximum aperture f 8 its output is simply not up to the ability of the lens. Its got halation, CA, and its just not that sharp. HOWEVER, stopped down to f10, you can get some VERY good results with it.So, if you can work within that limitation, it is a great option, especially when bundled with the 50200mm for 100 more, as Adorama has. If not, or if you require lower light shooting, then its not a good choice.

It does fit the Olympus 300mm. The auto focus and exposure are working properly. I have not critically evaluated the picture quality, but have high hopes because lens and teleconverter seem to work quite well together. Olympus and Panasonic continue making compatible products that work well together.

Im not sure why Panasonic lists the 200mm lens as the only one compatible. The PL 50200 f2.84 lens works perfectly with this teleconverter. I purchased the two together and am very happy with the combination. When you put this 2x teleconverter between your lens and camera you immediately lose two stops of light. So, in my case, I get a 100400 f5.68. Thats a bit slower than the dedicated PL 100400 f46.3. However, I didnt want to buy the 50200 alone and still be wishing I had the reach out to 400mm, only to have to turn around and buy the 100400 anyway. All lens functionality works, and the metadata is accurately portrayed pictures show 400mm when taken at maximum focal length, etc.The biggest downsides are loss of 2 stops of light, softer image quality when compared to the lens alone and price. The first two are expected with any teleconverter. The third… well, keep your eyes open for deals and bundles.Overall, Im happy I got it. Its allowed me to get up close and personal with some of the small birds that regularly call my yard their home.
