Sony – No Regrets, Only Stunning Shots! Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 January 2025 Style Name: S5M2 Pattern Name: with LUMIX 20-60 mm Lens Verified Purchase I love the Lumix infrastructure. Great build quality, weight, functionality, auto focus is next level and the fans keep it from over heating at the most demanding of outdoor weddings.

December 2024 Colour Name: Charcoal Configuration: Device Only Verified Purchase The display is just the right size since it is not too big blending in to the background, but large enough to easily view video calls, watch short clips, or check the weather and news. The sound quality is impressive for such a compact device, and music playback is clear and enjoyable. The voice control is incredibly intuitive, and I can easily ask Alexa to play my favorite songs, set reminders, or control my smart home devices. One of my favorite features is the ability to watch live TV and stream content directly on the screen, and the radio playback is great too! I especially love using it in the kitchen to follow recipes hands-free Alexa walks me through every step and answer my questions without me having to touch anything not to mention the timer setting makes me not forget my breads in the oven. The setup was a breeze, and it integrates seamlessly with all my other Alexa devices. Highly recommend it! Its next home is likely to be my kitchen, with my dabble at Alexa recipes given up on. This Echo Show does not listen. The other reviews making the same comment are spot on. I say “Alexa, play Radio Caroline” standing right next to it and it is the Echo Dot in the lounge, behind a closed door, that starts playing the radio station, as often as not. Others comment that shouting at it 2 or 3 times for anything to work is frustrating, but since my problem is that the remote device acts on the instruction, shouting doesn’t help. Instead I put my head close to it and whisper “Alexa, play Radio Caroline”, and then, if I’m lucky, after a couple of attempts, it will play the radio station. I was just on the cusp of falling for Gadget Tree’s trade-in promotion for the Echo Show 8, 3rd Generation, but decided to read the review, and discovered that it also suffers from this problem. I’ve got 3 Echo Show devices, the 5 and 8 2nd Generation and this 5 3rd Generation. All of them have far more selective hearing than the Echo Dot. However, it is clear that the problem has been made far worse with this third generation. I’ve decided to give the trade-in a miss. Instead, I’ll put the displaced Echo Dot back next to the Echo Show and see which one responds. My hunch is that the Echo Show will be beaten to it by the Echo Dot every time, in which case it will be time to get rid of it, not augment it with another 3rd generation Echo Show that does not listen.
