The full price for this lens is £699 (at the time of this review) It was on offer for me with a saving of £200, which is a much more realistic price. That said, you will always have to pay a slight premium for a Panasonic-branded S-Series lens. The build quality is a bit plastic but I guess that is to try and make it more lightweight, which it is. I got this because I found that my Lumix S 24-70mm F2.8 couldn’t go wide-angle enough for some shots and the 14mm is really nice and extreme. I found no issues with sharpness and the close-focus macro has proved to be really useful, especially for my video work. One person found this helpful
