I have only had this battery for a little over a week, but it was a good choice. The battery that came with my camcorder only lasted about 15 or 20 minutes. When charged the camcorderer showed it had 180 minutes of record time on it. I dont expect it to last that long but so far I havent ran it out. I have probably recorded another 30 minutes and the battery meter is still showing 34. So far the only draw back to this battery is that it is about 3 to 4 times bigger than the original battery, but that isnt a problem for me.

I bought this battery here thinking that it is going to last longer than the regular battery that came with my NX5R, no it didnt happen. the NPF970 was worse than the regular battery, it couldnt hold any charge. So, I had to return it for it was not a genuine one. I am very pleased with Adorama, for they gave me a full refund. So, where can I buy a genuine Sony NPF970 L series battery

I have several Sony NPF batteries for my cameras, and a number of LED lights that use the same battery. The Neewer battery is a great find. The Sony batts are quite expensive. This battery has performed very well so far. I actually plan to grab a few more. Sure, the Sonys are likely higher spec. But for 16 of the price you cant beat it.

Only buy quality items made for your actual Canon Video Camera. I look to these batteries as reliable and long lasting I have had good luck with them in the past. They are workhorses. I just got this one and use it on a Sony NX3, but have used them before on similar cameras. The main reason I do not give them full stars is that Sony and other brands have occasionally put small light up indicators on the battery cases that let you know the approximate charge at the push of a button without attaching the battery and powering on the camera. I prefer those ones the indicator has saved me from running off with a low battery on a few cases especially when more than one person is using the gear or handing off gear to others.

This battery is a Sony genuine battery. It is big and has a very high capacity. I got the Sony dual charger and the charger tells everything about itcapacity, time to charge, battery life, total hours since put on service. I use this with my camcorder tvr 520. The original batteryNPF960 that I got for it about 22years ago is still very good, but I wanted to have the second battery, just in case. As you can see this type of battery last a very long time. So I got the second one based on trying this battery. BH is a good place to buy original Sony parts. They only sell original brands. I recommend them for your Sony needs.

Thank goodness I bought this battery as a backup. I recently bought the new Sony NX100 video camera. Had I not bought this extra F970 I would have ran out of juice filming my sons soccer tournament. This battery lasts for hours and takes many charges. I put them through vigorous almost daily use and they always come through. I have used 4… first one lasted for several years until I left it to charge for about a week. It was already old and didnt like that. The second worked perfectly until I dropped it 6 feet onto a rocky slope where it tumbled a few more feet, they dont seem to like that either. The other two I use on my Sony FX7 and Sony Video Light. Be careful to buy from a trusted source. I have gotten two counterfeits through the online auction site… first one did OK, but didnt last like a true Sony, so when I got the second I sent it back. You can find info on how to identify counterfeits online.

Use this battery in the Canon XA25. It lasts 3x longer than the battery that came with the camera BP820. The only thing that may be unattractive to users is the longer time it takes to charge. It takes over 4 hours when charging in the camera, but much less time when using the CG800 charger.

Havent put the battery to the real test yet, but looks fully capable of running the XA11 video cam as advertised. It did take 45 hours for the initial charge using the Canon wall charger, but that was expected. It is slightly heavier, but not a problem.

This is my third Canon BP828 battery. It is truly an almost 3 hour battery. It is absolutely essential for videographers who film long sequences. The standard battery that came with my Canon XA35 video camera does not last long enough. Perhaps an hour if youre lucky.

I purchased this battery with the Indipro npfw50 dummy battery setup for my rig and found that the battery does not read out accurately on the A6500, A6300, and my A6000. It should read out the same as the A7 series since its the same battery used. Overall, the battery meter on the camera will decrease by 1 every 45 seconds or so. Once the dead battery sign shows up, the camera will still operate for 12 more hours. The only reason I am not giving this product a 1 star is because it technically still works but I would not consider it compatible with any of the A6000 series cameras.

I bought two weeks ago a Canon VIXIA HF G30. When I am filming with this camera I have turned off the automatic shut off mode, my camera is running the whole time even when I am not actually filming. This is because I want to be ready filming when something worthwhile is happening. To turn on the camera again, to boot he camera takes just too long until it is ready to film. This takes a lot of power from the battery and the stock battery just did not cut it. When the camera is turned on the stock battery lasts only about one hour. Not enough. I got the BP828 and what a difference. With the BP828 my camera runs for 2.5 hours. Thats enough for me for one video shoot. Canon should have included this BP828 from the beginning with the camera as a stock battery. the G30 is an expensive camera and to add another 50 to the total price for the bigger battery would not have been unreasonable. I will get a second BP828. The stock battery is not even good enough for me as a backup battery. I need another BP828. Basically I have no complaints about the BP828 except that it is big. The view finder of my camera pulls just enough out to compensate for the extra length of the battery. I can really recommend this battery. Canon quality.

Purchased this spare battery for my Polaroid Lumix ts25, just in case my HikingBackpacking trips provided great pictures and scenic views. Just wish they made a plastic protective case to store it in, like my Scan Disk Holds a great charge, just over 300 pictures before needing changed.

I reviewed this item because I bought this same item from another large national Internet distributor and received a fake battery. It was a working battery but had no InfoLithium microprocessor in it. On reading many customer reviews on that site, I realized that it had been reported as a fake many months prior. The BH Sony battery is the real deal and of course costs more than the fakes. You can tell if the InfoLithium battery is a fake when you charge it in a Sony charger with display and the display shows no charge timing. Or when you plug the battery into a Sony camera and no battery time remaining is displayed.

I would have great things to say about this product if it worked. The contacts that make the electrical connection with the camcorder are worn and dont make contact. There should be no gaps between each set of contacts, yet there are large gaps on this one. Basically, I was sold a bad battery that was marketed as being new. And there is also some cosmetic damage to the battery case.

I learned a long time ago that the knockoff batteries do not work as well as the Manufacturer spec OEM batteries. They all work the same in the beginning, but with time, the after market ones always die first.The battery that came with the unit lasts a long time, i switch this one in and it lasts forever. The weight is noticeable, so I only use this as a backup.

I bought this battery to use on an adapterdummy battery for my A6500. The battery works and I was able to film for approximately 4 hours with no issues. I predict that the battery would last maybe 6 hours. The only issue that I have with this battery is that the percentage of remaining battery life is not totally accurate. This battery is not really for the A6500 but I like to have this extra battery life for long days of filming.

This battery pack replaces the BP827 for the Canon XA10. I called Canons Support because they did not show the BP828 compatible with the Canon XA10 HD Camera. Support researched it and said its compatible. Works fine on my XA10 and is the same physical size.

Use this on my XA10. Once calibrated according to the directions in the XA10 this battery displays accurately how much time is remaining on the battery and it changes during different modes. For example if playing video it shows one time, if recording with the LCD screen another and if recording using the viewfinder another. This initial calibration takes a long time because it requires fully charging the battery then discharging the battery until completely discharged while in use. Then afterwards the battery will display an accurate reading from then on. Recommend purchasing the CG800 battery charger it charges the battery in apx 4.3 hours vs. 6.4 hours charging in the camera.

This battery is reliable but I am not getting as much time from it as others claim to.It is definitely a step up from the 70A that came with my vz90 and unlike the cheaper batteries it discharges at an honest rate….Worth it but Im not getting the all day performance that others claim to get

I do volunteer work for a local organization and had to deal with a power shortage two weeks ago. This battery Model DMWBCK7 was purchased as a backup for my Panasonic SMCSZ1 camera. I also bought the DEA91B charger. It is a relief to not worry about running out of power during extended use.The battery has 680 mAh, not particularly powerful but adequate for my purpose.What I like the charger is compact. The plug retracts for easier storage. Charge time was less than 3 hours. The green light goes out when charging is complete.

Although mighty expensive, it is reliable and dependable quality since it is sony. i have had my hands burnt a couple of times, by buying third party similar products. they failed me in mid of the video shoot abruptly. thank God it did not corrupt the files already written on the sdxc card. These original sony batteries provide accurate data duration of the battery remaining power.so if u r a professional videographer, please donot take chances with third party products in this situation when u depend so much on the accurate reading of time left on the battery.

We film hunting, fishing, and outdoor videos. In these situations, the camera must often be left in standby mode so it is ready to be activated for quick action. Needless to say, it is often left there for extended periods of time when things are slow. The BP727 offers over 200 minutes of life, even more when left on standby. This keeps you in the game and not trying to change a battery when a deer strolls by or the big fish hits I got two, one was a gift for my son, the other for myself. I got this to use with my Tilta Side Handle and have been ver impressed with the life. Around 3 hours I am also using it to power my Bmpcc4k which is also using a SSD. My biggest complaint is that there is no way to charge this.

I purchased two of these to run our FS700, which is also running the Metabones EF adapter. Even with the extra power use by the adapter, the battery lasts a long time about 5 hours under typical shooting conditions, and longer than much larger batteries that run other video cameras we own. Because they are Sonys own product, they talk to the camera in terms of feedback on remaining power in the battery, which is very helpful between long takes. They do take a while to charge fully, so if you have more than one, I would recommend finding a good dual charger unit.

The original battery is great for short work say an hour or two then you will start worrying about having to switch to another backup. But, with the 100A you wont have to. One batter one day and then still have left over time. Great for the AX53 4K Sony. Its not big at all. Its not heavy. Its perfect. As a professional videographer one of the things you dont want to worry about is running out of power. When shooting on location there are too many things to setup and take care of why not removed one of those possible headaches by using a battery that will last the whole day… you cant pay for that kind of mishap. Use the original battery for the backup.

I too was amazed that even though it is eye catching, it allows me to record with having to change batteries. Highly recommended for those long sports game recordings on one charge. I use this battery for my Atomos Assassin. It is rock solid and it is built with heavy duty in mind. Sony is the only manufacturer that knows how to build these batteries and build them right. I had purchased a whole bunch of off brand batteries for my Atomos Assassin and I had to return one of them because it was leaking while I was out filming a job. Pink fluid oozing out of the bottom of it. Not cool. I hesitated in purchasing these off brand batteries but they were considerably cheaper. Well, like we all hear you get what you pay for. BH took my other battery back and I replaced it with this Sony NPF970. I will be replacing the rest of them now with this Sony NPF970 battery. Ive been in the video production business for over 35 years and have always used Sony batteries with my equipment. I thought that maybe thru the years these off brands were possibly built better. If you are wanting reliability in a battery you shouldno, you must, purchase Sony batteries.

Bought this for a 4k Sony Camcorder to shoot footage at a wedding recently. The wedding lasted 5 hrs. Used this only battery for the shootings and had plenty of power left over when done. This is all you should ever need for any event O can think of.

Purchased a Sony HXRMC88 that came with an NPFV50A battery. The NPFV100A lasts at least twice as long if not three times as long. Havent used it very long but also havent had to recharge very much either. Now I can rest easy knowing I can record more than 45 minutes without running out of battery.

While the Sony FS100 I recently bought from BH runs much longer on the included standard battery than any video camera Ive ever owned, I still needed a second battery to get through a long days shoot. Instead of another of the small batteries, I got the larger F970. It wasnt that much more money. So far I havent run it down on a shoot. Because the battery is heavier than the standard one, it puts a little bit of extra weight at the back of the camera, making it more centered on the tripod when a heavy lens is used.

My production company and I personally have owned and used a variety of cameras. As the operations chief, I see the cost of a camera as the cost of a system. That is, a camera and its accessories that are used in the workflow. Panasonic makes fantastic cameras and I recognize that. However, I know that in the field we may carry a dozen, sometimes dozens of batteries along. Therefore the cost of field power becomes a big deal. Ive always found the Panasonic batteries to be far more expensive than their Sony and other maker equivalents. Enough so that it can become deal breaker when specing and choosing cameras. There is nothing wrong with Panasonic batteries and they seem to hold up and charge as many times as other field camera batteries but I dont see anything special about and I hardly think their builtin depletion indicators are worth the premium. I think Panasonic should reconsider its pricing on its batteries especially in light that the Sony NPF series of batteries has become an industry standard i.e., for light and accessories and makes Sony a default consideration.

This may be expensive but it lasts. I bought this for my cx550v. Fully charged I get 440 minutes of recording time. Thats 7.3 hours This along with the 256GB SDXC gives me 1479 minutes of recording time on the FX setting cant take pics on this setting I get 24.65 hours of recording time I use the ECM HGZ1 gunzoom mic , foam cover for gunzoom and the Black Rapid RS4 Classic Retro

This is the best battery if you have a Canon device that uses it. It is higher capacity than the one that comes with the device its the highest capacity available and it shows the remaining time something an offbrand cant do. This last point may seem minor until youre wondering if you have five minutes left or fifty minutes left to shoot. It costs more but its worth it

I have a Vixia HFR42 Digital Video Camera and this Battery has Long Life to easily record for several hours. The batterys Charge Indicator works well whether using an Offline Charger or the Camera for Charging and it Communicates well with the Camera and Offline Charger to indicate state of charge. Downside is the price is more than 4 times the equivalent generic battery. However, Canon sets the price, so Best Buy is at or below the Canon suggested retail pricing. I tried generic Kaepon batteries and they would not communicate. The Canon battery communicates well, even with the Kaepon Charger which for two batteries and the charger was less than the Canon Charger. I advise buying the Kaepon Charger and using only Canon batteries.

As professional sports videographer for over twenty years Ive had to learn the hard way that genuine Sony battery packs are the only ones you can count on for hours of power and reliability.Like many I have tried all types of battery packs to save some money. All of them never held there charges after just a few shoots and many others didnt withstand the rigors of run and gun shooting. They literally feel apart. I have made attempts to talk to BH about what I ordered and did not get what ordered. I had sent a couple emails No return from the emails explaining the situation and in one occasion I actually got someone on the phone. The man I talked to could not understand what I was talking about and stated that they would have to talk to Canon and would call me back. Of course that did not happen They want my review which I say, be cautious. Unfortunately it appears that BH is only seeking good comments with a failure in customer relations.

Im well pleased with the purchase of these two batteries. The charge indicator shows 1277 minutes at Full Charge. Thats 87 minutes more than any other battery Ive used. After six hours use with the 3 inch view screen open, I still had over 80 capacity left. If the meter is accurate, I could get 5 weddings per charge. They charge at about the same rate as Im used to with the variety of batteries Ive used up in these 3 cameras over the last 11 years and holds a charge well between uses. They fit my cameras well too. Thanks Adorama for another Great product.

Was in desperate need of a longerlife battery for my Canon HF R600 and this did the job Note that because the R600 is a newer camera, most info on the BP727 does not say its compatible with this camera, but it is. I have had Sony Hi8 cameras for years. Have always used the smaller batteries. Even at their best they dont last long enough. Although it takes some getting used to,because of its size and weight, this NPF970 lasts forever. It is well worth the trade off. Probably a little early to write this review, cause I have only had the battery for a short time. I did some recording over the weekend for about an hour and a half, and it still shows a 78 charge. This battery elsewhere is more than double what I paid for it. Thank you ebay

The NPV100 battery provides about 3 hours of continuous operation in a Sony FDRVX700, compared to about 112 hours of the standard NPV70 battery. The life is shorter if you use it briefly and otherwise power down. I mostly record events, which run about 2 hours on the average. The NPV100 provides a comfortable margin, if AC power is not available.The AC power supply uses a proprietary connector instead of the typical 2.5 mm barrel plug or a 4pin XLR. I would prefer to use a large Liion Video battery, but cannot find the right cable or dummy battery.

I experienced that this particular Sony battery that I purchased was not had much capacity hold more voltage than generic brand. with full charged on Sony battery, its capacity shown on my camcorder only 2 12 hrs use. compare to generic brand, its capacity can be used up to 4 hrs. AND price WAS MORE CHEAPER than Sony battery.. I would go with generic brand for the future to save money and its capacity longer use.

I own 3 of these for professional videography. I am currently in Zimbabwe, Africa, for a 3 month trip of filming hunting safaris with my Sony HDRAX2000. Ive had 1 of these since october 2012 and I bought 2 more for this trip. Ive had no problems with them. Ive dropped them a couple times, with no ill effects. They seemed to take forever to charge from the camera with the camera plugged in via its power cord about 7 hours, but i purchased a charger for this trip and it charges two at once pretty quickly compared to the camera itself. Ill usually put them on the charger when i go to bed and they are ready when i wake up and i dont always get a full 8 hours sleep. They are supposed to last for 7 hours straight of continuous recording. I havent timed them, but they seem to last that long. I have been leaving my camera turned on turned on, not recording all day from about 5 am to dark6pm as to not miss a thing and two of these has been more than sufficient. The 3rd is only a backup. Id recommend these batteries to anyone, but I dont know if there are even any alternative options for sony cameras.

Got it charged it and been using hot and heavy on a battery sled for the Lowell Blenders. I have yet to drain it even after three hours of steady lighting so very pleased. Off brands cant seem to match it. Only downside, when charging on the Sony Twin charger, it will not show a reading for useful Hours but does show Time Left to charge, Time to Full charge, etc.

No one likes to pay 125.99 for a battery for anything. My car battery didnt cost that much, BUT it does the job and is long lasting enough that I dont have to worry about the juice running out when we do a four hour videography job. Im using it on my new Rode TXXLR transmitter and Sennheiser MD46 reporters microphone. Ive only used it on one job so far, but know it will perform well in the future now that Ive tried it even one time. The battery that comes with the camcorder is aweful only provides about 1825 mins recording time THIS battery however, gave me just over 3 hours recording time at maximum quality Excellent The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of the full 5 is because this battery is OVER ONE THIRD the price of the entire camera I purchased. Sheeeesh It is very expensive, but it does get the job done. Another note to be aware of, when they say this thing is 3X as big as the little battery that comes with the Canon Vixia HF R300, they mean it It sticks out the back a good bit, but I didnt find it to hinder my filming ability one bit. It obviously increases the weight slightly as well, but the camera is already tiny and light to begin with, so no complaints here. Side note I also purchased 2 64gig Patriot brand, Class 10, UHS, SDXC Ultra High Speed, Secure Digital Extended Compacity cards for memory for my camera. Each one provides over 5 hours of footage at maximum quality. The playback was 99 smooth as butter once I brought it home and played it on the HD TV. My recommendation definitely buy it if money isnt too much of an issue. It will give you the battery life that you WILL need if you plan on doing any extending amounts of filming at one time. For a solid days worth of footage at least 2 would be necessary, but 3 of these batteries would be more appropriate. Recharge IS NOT fast… at least a solid 8 hours. Cheers

I have purchased both genuine alternative brand batteries in the past. Only the genuine brand constantly perform to expected standards. The nongenuine are a 5059 chance they will hold a charge or survive a reasonable time. Another plus they arrived in less time than listed. Thx.

We measured one of these batteries using a a sophisticated charger discharger and a standard recognized method. The measured capacity was 6350 ma Hrs at 0.4 amps constant current discharge rate less than 0.1C . That is Excellent value for the and judging by previous reviews these batteries can last. Less than 14 of the typical OEM price for similar capacity batteries.

I work with production sound and bought this battery to fit my Sound Devices 633 recorder. It gives me a nice option of powering when my NP1 runs out and i have plenty of time to keep recording and change to another NP1. If im in a run gun doc or reality situation, i dont worry about changing it until the take is cut. My only problem with it is the time of recharge. Compared to my NP1s this takes forever to charge 46h, and the double charger only charges one battery per time.

If you need a replacement battery for your Canon video camera that allows you to see all your cameras features, this is the recommended Canon battery. They are expensive, but they are better than the generic variety. You also know how much battery power is available on your video display. Generics wont do that, but generic brands are a lot cheaper.

This is a great battery for professional applications. I have used these batteries in the field since Aug 2004 with the Sony Z1U. I had two of these, plus the smaller NPF570 in my bag shooting in the arctic in summersome 20 hour days and in the mountains in the wintersome 20 degree days. I never had to stop in the middle of the day to recharge until Aug 2009. That is when both started to show signs of weakening. Now they only work for a couple of hours before needing to be recharged. The decline in performance was really fast. That is when I knew I needed a new battery and after charging it, shot for 8 hours on one new battery. The reason it gets 4 stars and not 5, is because it does not have an LED readout to tell you if it has a charge while it is in the pack. Performance wise, this battery has been a good friend to me.

I had the original battery that shipped with the camera and was rated at 2 hours, it would almost make that mark but, I film meetings for archival purposes and having to sweat whether the battery was going to make it or not before I would have to interrupt the meeting to change but, with this new battery, no problem. It charges to over 10 hours of battery life and Ive never had to worry again. Ive never filmed anything over four hours wedding and reception so I dont know if the 10 hour rating is actual record time or not but, as far as the battery itself, best money I could have spent. whether you would recommend this product and what you like or dislike about it.

I bought this battery for my new Atomos V.I have 3 batteries from my old Atomos plus 2 more from an on camera light so I thought those were enough.I was wrong I had to change batteries almost every 15 minutes, honestly they are old batteries.With the NPF970 I went 4 days of shooting and the battery lasted all day. I charged every night.Its heavy and its bulky but lasts a lot

I have bought on september 2014 2 batteries NPF970 L as a pack. One battery is ok the other one is charging less with each recharge. Its about 5 each time. This started to happen 3 months ago. So now one battery is charging 100 and the other just 54 . On my Sony NX3 a fully charged battery works 34 hours. I cant say the same about the other one. No more warranty for them therefore … what can I say. Good luck

The reason I ordered a new battery was the fact that my battery in the camera was at least 15 years old and I had to be sure I had a back up for the event. This is my third battery and the first Sony 9 hour battery died about at 12 years. They can record up to about 750 minutes if you dont use the flip out monitor. I prefer to use my view finder, because I feel that you pay better attention to what you are videoing. I do the same with my Nikon DSL camera. I always charge my battery within 24 hours after using it. I now they are worth the money.Paul

It came sooner than promised.. It has worked very well in my Sony FDR AX100 video camera. It registers 4 hours and 40 minutes for 4K videos. I assume since it is Sony battery in a Sony camera that this is accurate. I have never let it run that long continuously, since it would rake a much bigger memory card than I have. I am happy with it so far glad to recommend this battery.

The battery fit well and appeared to be an exact copy of the one that came from the factory with the camera. After following all instructions with the first use, charging, and maintenance of the battery, this battery does not hold a charge for even half as long as the factory one. It makes a decent backup just in case your other one get slow. You can only use this for about 30 minutes at a full charge though.

I prefer to buy the Canon battery pack that any other brand name for my Canon video Camera. The life of the battery is much better. I recommend to expend a little more for the original products. I bough before several other Chinese copies and they are in the trash.

I bought a Panasonic LUMIX SZ7 and after reading the review indicating the need for an extra battery when using this camera, I ordered this battery. In 6 days I took over 500 photos and a number of videos, left the camera on much of the time, made extensive use of the WT motor as well as many of the cameras Automatic fetures. At least one of the batteries was recharged and swapped out each day. Its an exact replacement for the battery supplied with my camera I had to use a marker to tell one from the other. Both the USBcomputer and wall charger unit take several hours to bring the battery from empty I tend to completely drain them back to full charge. Not a problem considring how long it takes my cell phone to charge.

Canon failed to specify this battery as compatible with the Vixia HF S21 despite that I officially notified them on their website and Vixia HF S21 accessories website. Canon said they would update these specifications Canon specifies the BP827 as compatible and does Not specify the BP828 as compatible. Cheer up Vixia HF S21 users This battery is 100 compatible with the Vixia HFS21 and replaces the BP827. Even better, it lasts longer than the BP827. In case you were not aware…. The Vixia HF S21 does far more than the current Vixia models. The HF S21 takes 8MP pictures and records full HD video. Has BOTH built in drive storage 64GB and two SD card slots. No wonder it was discontinued, it competed with Canon SLR cameras at the time at a far lower price.

You spend 1500.00 for the camera and you get the battery that doesnt last long so you need to spend an extra 150 to get this battery dont get other brands just to operate for a shoot. Thats just the way it is.

This battery is a needed piece for your battery needs. because it is made by Sony to be used for Sony cameras, you know its going to come through. The larger battery, depending on use charges within a hour and last about 4 hours. I often find myself using one battery all day, best to have another one as back up, but your set for shooting.

When it comes to camcorder batteries, Ive found that its a terrible idea to buy those affordable offbrand batteries. These sony batteries may cost more, but they are incredible In my NX5u they have an incredible battery life, and Ive not had any problems with them If you need a reliable battery thats going to work when you need it, these are well worth the money. They take a while to charge, but thats the only downside.

If you are buying from circuit street llc you will NOT get an OEM BP727 battery pack as advertised, it is not made by canon, it is aftermarket, I only use genuine products so I was disappointed when I opened the package to find aftermarket batteries. Contacted them twice to attempt to get a refund and they still have not answered….req refund 8 days ago and the system said they would get back to me in 1 business day, I have heard nothing. Will update if they resolve issue. I included a picture of what you ACTUALLY get vs what is advertised.

Dont buy any battery that is not made by Canon for Canon products. It may save you about 75 percent of money if you buy the after market battery but its lifetime will be 75 percent less than that of Canon battery. I used the after market battery for my Canon camcorder before, so I know it is true. For your information, the BP820 LithiumIon Battery Pack is made in Japan. Its worth spending a little more money for this battery for your Canon gear.
