Controls are largely intuitive for a generation familiar with handheld controllers, andor handheld gaming. I purchased in anticipation of shelteringinplace during the Covid19 pandemic as an alternative to the larger Nintendo Switch. I found the controls and smaller sizing compared to the Switch in portable mode a perfect compromise for convenient game play. However, certain games e.g. highresolution and or more interactive gameplay like Zelda Breath of the Wild or even Assassins Creed, would likely be more enjoyable on the big screen option offered by the larger Nintendo Switch console. All that to say, Id definitely recommend the Nintendo Switch Lite for fans of the old GameBoy or GameBoyColor, and newer younger gamers. The handheld fits nicely, is more portable, and isnt as much of a pocket crunch if lost damaged during your travels. Id easily throw this in my carryon luggage, or commuter bag for a roadtrip, business trip or leisure travel. Its the perfect size to keep younger riders entertained on a journey, so definitely a great option for families with multiple children, or young nostalgic adults from the 80s, and 90s. I would recommend.

I previously owned a regular switch and I was fed up with the joycons breaking every 36 months where buying a new set was a whopping 70 Thats a ton of money for how cheaply made they are I took a chance a gave the old switch to my sister because I dont play on tv anyway and purchased a lite Without spilling anything or getting anything dirty within the first two weeks my left directional control stick went wonky making me push it to the right about 3 times before the character would finally move You cant replace the joycons on the new lite of course and I have been unable to find any support number for the lite on the Nintendo site so I can make a warranty claim If I was Id have to send it in and wait close to a month before receiving the consult back I LOVE the switch besides this But this is so frustrating that I refuse to spend any more money on Nintendo gadgets Ill live with my ps4 Ill miss the switch but Im not going to keep replacing things Ive already spent close to a grand buying 2 switchs, 4 sets of joycons, and games If they made something built to last… Id be back I hope people pay attention to this It WILL 100 happen to you Your buttons WILL BREAK AND SUPPORT IS NOWHERE to be found

Ive been wanting a Switch Lite for a really long time, so when I saw this was for sale, I did my research and bought it. I am so happy I did First impression was how it came with its original cable box and that it was fully charged and ready to go. That really impressed me I can say that after playing with it for about a month, its an amazing product It works like new, doesnt take too long to charge about 34 hours and is a lot of fun I cant recommend it enough If you want a Switch Lite without paying full price, this is the way to go

Nice little handheld gaming system but mine came with missing earbuds. I bought it thinking I would never use all the bells and whistles that come with the regular switch and also for the reboot of the Zelda game. However, for the hefty price charged there were no earbuds and I learned that the Switch Lite will not play all the Switch games and the ones it does cost a small fortune. I am thinking of returning it and getting the larger switch but they are way overpriced even with a bundle and easy pay. Buy only if you are a Zelda fanatic and or have a money tree.

After a slightly disappointing previous console, the Wii U, selling way under projections and only lasting half the life cycle of the original Wii, Nintendo needed a big hit to turn themselves around. While taking the motion controls of the Wii, the handheld gamepad of the Wii U, and the cartridges of the 3DS cut in half, Nintendo bridged the gap with an amazing portablehomebound console.Nintendo even further whittled down the system to a cheaper and completely mobile unit, and with impressive results. While the lack of any HD Rumble, docking and projection, it more than makes up for in its quite extensive library and impressive technical prowess of a handheld. The screen is a little smaller than the standard Switch, but the screen packs a higher ppi pixels per inch count that makes it look a tad sharper, and a longer battery make it more than capable of playing Zelda on the go.The lack of rumble stinks, but the ability to hookup wireless pro controllers or JoyCons make it a bit more easier to forgive, but the price of those controllers are unforgivable. And you can only use wireless controllers, and a few games require the JoyCons to play Super Mario Party, ARMS and a few others.Still, the amount of games that are available some great first party support, 3rd party support is also fairly strong, plenty of HD remakes available on the system Though rarely an upgrade visually, since the system isnt a graphics powerhouse and it looks fantastic and stylish to carry around. Its cheap enough to recommend for kids or gamers on the go or wanting to game while vacationing, but a better experience is to be had with the docked variant.

I picked this up in store mostly because Ive been waiting for a Switch restock, either the regular one or the lite, and I decided on the Lite because of the color. The colors a little more purple than anything, on the box it shows like a navy, dark blue, but in person I noticed it to be a little purple, even though its still a nice color, its not exactly blue.If youre on the fence about getting a Switch or undecided on which to get, if you already have a console PS45, Xbox OneSX I would say that you would be good with a Switch Lite, unless youd really want to experience games like SM Odyssey, Breath of the Wild on a bigger screen. However, if you dont have a console at home, I would say go for the regular Switch, that way playing with more people is more effective, and playing games like Fortnite or Mortal Kombat would look better on a bigger screen with the added portability.I personally dont really care about docking the Switch, many of my friends who own a regular Switch dont dock it very often, and its ultimately up to you to decide what you would personally like. If you would like to play new Nintendo games and enjoy them primarily on the go, than the Switch Lite is for you.

I bought a Nintendo Switch Lite because despite the current climate, I travel for work a lot. This has been a great companion. I love the games available to me on this system as I loved classic JRPGs and they ported Xenoblade Chronicles which is the primary reason I got this system. The graphics hold up surprisingly well given the handheld nature of this machine. The only minor comments I have about it are the short battery life, and I needed to by grips to comfortably play the system for longer than 30 minutes. Other than these very minor issues, I love my Switch Lite and would recommend it to most gamers.

I bought this simply because I really wanted a switch and everything was starting to sell out. I had this for most of the year of 2020 and kinda regret my purchase. It plays the games well fits comfortably in the hand and the screen resolution is actually really good. However it has some issues Its small. Which was to be expected. But smaller than I thought. My eye sight isnt very good so I dont recommended the lite for those who have a struggle seeing far away. I held it too close to my face and always got a headache. The battery is not good. I knew the switch batteries werent good, but after seeing my brothers regular full size switch , I realized the lite battery is very very bad. It would die after like 30 minutes. Or get very close to dying. So not exactly good for taking on the go like a road trip unless you plan to have a way to charge it or only play for like 10 minutes. Some good pointsThe lite looks really good. Even in grey, the color is really nice. The buttons all work and dont feel cheap. I really like the idea that it reminds me of the handheld DS systems.Honestly the lite is good for smaller children who shouldnt be playing a gaming system for hours. Its also probably a lot harder to break than the full switch. Its also good to have as a back up. I did end up getting the full size switch to compare and noticed that yes, the battery life is a lot better. The screen is just wide enough to see held away from the face. It still fits comfortably in the hand. And TV mood is really nice to have. Plus the system rumbles, which I really like.Over all , the lite is okay.

This item would have been great had QVC shipped the item I placed the order for this item on 121720 because thats when I was able to order the pink Switch Lite. It showed that the order had to be placed by 121820 to receive the item by 122420. The item never came. QVC showed that the item was on its way, but when I went in on the 24th and the tracking details saidTracking DetailsDec 22, 2020, 1334Shipper created a label, UPS has not received the package yet.I went to the UPS website and it said and still says as of 122620 149 EST Shipment ready for UPS.I chatted with QVC Customer Service on 122620 and the agent never looked into why the item never left the facility. The least she could have done was offer overnight shipping, but she offered to ship it with an estimated delivery date of 123020, or a refund. But she did say sorry Not that it fixed the fact that this was the only gift my daughter wanted and it came with quite of few accessories and a game. I could only afford this gift because my hours were cut due to Covid. But she enjoyed the candy in her stocking So, thank you QVC for helping make my 7 year old daughter feel that Santa thought she was bad this past year when shes been great The other part was my fault for trusting QVC to deliver on time

SO I GOT MY DAUGHTER A THE Turquoise color and It was only three in stock at the time i got it back in April of this yr… before it became such a hot item…i paid sticker price which is 199.00 total was 214.00 and i got a few games shed liked later own.. But she loves it granted shes 5 now and just mainly use it for Youtube and a few matching games that i had downloaded. But its something shed grow into.. I also have the normal Switch as well.. So my wife plays it as well.. only differences btw the two is one can be docked and the other is for handheld only…which isnt a bad thing…However later that week i went to buy a third for my wife and they were out of stock everywhere no one had them i mean no one…I was so happy i got my little girl one when i did….for the normal price…

The console works great. It runs games as well as a normal switch. The new Dpad is preferable over the 4 buttons on the original joy cons. I like the softer pressing buttons over the clicky ones on the original Switch model. I also like the sticks on this model over the original. Something about them feels more fluid and less sticky. Hard to explain. But theres no kick stand built in so you need an external stand if you want to play with a pro controller or a separate set of joy cons, or if you want to watch youtube on it hands free. The speakers are worse than the original Switch but not by much. Though Id say using headphones is the best way to get sound out of this console. And the lack of any way to dock the switch is disappointing, but expected. If you want a Switch to play the games, but dont feel youd use the tv mode, this is worth it. But it does lack a couple of things that the Switch in handheld mode does better.

The Nintendo Switch Lite is perfect for casual gamers. If you want to seriously game, this probably isnt your console. If youre looking for something to get into gaming or you want to play the occasional game, this is for you. The screen is great, very clear and a good size, it gets very bright. The size of the console is perfect, the color is vibrant. Ive had the switch lite for a week now and I have had zero issues with it, its far better than what I had expected. I recommend getting a tempered glass screen protector with it because the screen on the switch lite is plastic so itll scratch easily. The screen is a touchscreen in case you were wondering. You can connect joy cons and pro controllers to the switch lite. You need a Bluetooth adapter if you want to connect Bluetooth headphones.

Switch Lite is great and fits perfectly in my hands. definitely a good purchase for on the go gaming. i do wish i would have purchased elsewhere. I ordered online for in store pick up and when i opened my brand new device, there was already someone elses information loaded into the system. there were multiple users created, device was already named lindsays switch and there were screenshots saved of games i obviously had not playedeven owned. Sad to think that Target does not check devices that have been returned to clear user info and sells them as brand new.. luckily the box was not missing anything. i have only had this device less than a day and if i have any other issues i will definitely return the item, but as far as i can tell the previous person only played animal crossing and then returned.

I owned the original weeks after its release. Played it for a few minutes and liked the game lineup for it and the graphics for it were amazing for a portable device. Battery life though really was the downside of it. Also its flimsy feel of the slide on connected controllers just were annoying to me. I never found myself using the docking feature as I felt it was gimmicky. Who wants to play games in a lower quality resolution on a large screen hdtvThats why I got excited for the announcement and release of the Switch Lite. It had the pros I wanted, pure mobile only console system with a better battery life and solid build. The softer build material and solid build quality feels great in my hands. Its not so oversized that it draws unwanted attention from passing people and especially kids. Battery life is finally enough to get a good amount of gameplay in. I do wish for a few more color options.

Not sure if this Christmas season I had the bad luck of buying a defective or if theyre all like that.. but yesterday I got a new one from Best buy so lets see how this works out maybe I can change my preview later on… Thats for now the first one that I got in December had a connection problem it kept kicking me off the internet.. over and over and over again it was pointless for the kid to try to even play fortnite he gave up.. then after that I went ahead to the store and I brought a game Mario Odyssey… It starts off for about 1 minutes stops working it says software stop working due to an error.. so I was thinking okay maybe its just that game so I took it back and I got another game same thing.. so I called into endo and they told me that some games are not compatible.. but as I was talking to Nintendo I was at Walmart.. epic games that I brought the guy Walmart said yes they work because I have the Nintendo lit.. then I thought okay maybe something is wrong with the slots where you slide the game… So I went ahead and I downloaded games same thing again… Check for corrupted files turned it off and turned it back on nothing… So I got a new one in yesterday lets see what happens hopefully I just got one of the bad ones… But I was really skeptical in getting a new one I wasnt sure if I was just going to get a refund or trade it for a new one.. just the fact that the Nintendo guy told me that a lot of them had problems with that error message scared me silly

I am going to try to leave a review for this product even though my experience with it has been very limited. I purchased this as a birthday gift for someone who I care very much about. He had wanted the Nintendo Switch Console and I could see why immediately. I was a huge Animal Crossing fan. Loved the game on the Nintendo Wii and I credit the Wii with assisting me with the beginnings of my over 100 lb weight loss. Love in the time of Covid… I could not find Switch consoles anywhere other than marketplace sellers gouging or profiting off an investment. It depends on how you see it. I ended up buying him the switch lite. I think I might be playing the game more if the 2 person console was what I had ended up with but it was more important to me that he had this little Animal Crossing buddy to take with him to chemotherapy treatments. Ive played for a moment here or there so Ive seen the controls and Ive heard of some of the new features since Animal Crossing City Folk. But believe it or not, were both still playing Pokemon Go.With this gadget, just like many others, be prepared for the 20 others little things that you need to go with it. Screen protector. Carrying Case. Game. Headphone adapter.I hope this helps someone out there debating on the Nintendo Switch Lite for what its worth or maybe just someone who likes real product reviews.

This is a great product in the sense that its quality made and designed. I have purchased 6 Nintendo switch consoles in total for my 3 children and they were too rough on them and I had to replace them a few times. I first purchased 3 of the original consoles with the controllers that are removable and can be played on your TV after they destroyed the last one, I finally decided to buy the switch lites instead. And the switch lites are MUCH more durable If you are purchasing a Nintendo switch for your child, I would definitely go with the lite because I feel the original isnt suited for children under the age of 14 years old. And make sure you get geek squad every single time These are pricy little game consoles and its not fun to have to repurchase them if your kid gets upset they lost or some other player cheated. The switch lite has been a godsend and like I said before WAY more durable and has pretty much the same features.

Arrived on time and 13 year old loved it. I understand theres a parental app. Be warned kids can surpass any system you put in place. My 22 year old has one and didnt know you could download YouTube, Hulu and the like. I bought this so he wouldnt be stuck in his room or the game room on the Xbox and we had already taken the Xbox for a while. Being a lite it doesnt connect to tv I dont think. I could be wrong but regardless hes already figured out a way to do this. Games are expensive if they beat them quickly so go for a longer lasting game as they are around 60 new. Walmart had the one we wanted in stock with free two day shipping

A cheaper alternative to the standard Switch, you sacrifice TV connectivity for further portability. All games are fully playable on the Lite, however it is in permanent tablet mode. More controllers can be connected to the unit either way, but youll have to share the small screen in order to play. This unit is best used for those whoDont care for TV connections.Dont have many players to share with locally couch coop, party games, etc.Travel more often then usual.

Now that you can buy titles like Diablo, Need for Speed, and Hades from the Nintendo store this is too good to pass up. Plus, its finally available in a color that isnt gray or pastel. I really like the color and the device is very snappy and light. You play Youtube and Hulu on it but there is no Netflix. To get a Chrome browser you have to do an elaborate trick. None of that matters though. For 200 bucks you can play some really nice games and its comfy to hold.

Was really glad to be able to snag this device because the original switch was already sold out. Really disappointed that it took a long time to restock just to find out that itd be sold out again the year after. But Im glad I was fortunate enough to still get one I love the quality for such a small handheld device. It was well worth the purchase Beautiful color and excellent performance. Battery life is good but if youre playing for hours without end, youre gonna need to charge.

Okay so your girl is a poor college student I didnt want to drop 300 bucks on a gaming console for 1 game. Because both my brother and my significant other have a switch, I definitely didnt need one. Then this pandemic blew up. I dont live with my SO or my brother and desperately wanted Animal Crossing because it falls under the umbrella of types of games I like to play.I succumbed, as did millions of others. It sold out, both the regular switch and the lite. People started wallen and reselling them at ridiculous prices. I get it, we all need some coin, especially now, but jeez. The shipping was delayed by 3 days, but thats completely understandable considering the situation.Alas, my switch finally came in the mail after very impatient waiting. I bought Animal Crossing, the digital version, and have played everyday from April 24th until now. A day ago, the left stick started acting up. My character sometimes stops short while running or slows down. I looked it up and it seems that, that is a recurring problem with a lot of people. Im slightly miffed, but mostly sad because I like to keep my stuff in good condition.Im not mad mad because you can pair joycons to the lite, but honestly, for another 80 beans, thats 20 short of the 300 the regular costs.Other than that, I 100 recommend. Keeps me entertained. Maybe it does its job a little too well because I spend over 6 hours a day playing Animal Crossing mostly because theres nothing else to do… but also because I lack selfcontrol.ANYWAYS. Stay safe. Dont be an idiot and protest a cause trying to keep you safe. Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.Wont stop playing ACNH,Beth

Ive read a lot of reviews on the switch lite and surprisingly, there were a lot of similar reviews saying their switch lite would not turn on or they got a defected one. Ive had mine for a few weeks now and its doing fine. Color is vibrant and it looks really nice. Only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the battery life. It doesnt last as long as it says it does.. I could probably get a good 2 hours in and then I would have to charge it. Besides the battery, Ive had no issues with the console. I got lucky and was able to ship it to my house. Its never in stock and sometimes there isnt an option to ship So if youre trying to purchase a console, always check

Builtin controls feels vastly better than the JoyCons. The face buttons are much meatier to press and the triggers and shoulders feel almost like a real controller. The dpad is more a traditional pad with a nice clickinesstomush ratio. Satisfying to use and takes me back in time. Sticks appear much the same as the Cons, but mysteriously feel nicer to me. The screen is excellent. Very sharp, excellent color reproduction. No autobrightness here, from what I can see, but the manual range is identical to that found on the standard Switch. Speaker are slightly tinny and thin, but not bad by any means. Sound quality is superior in both tone and volume to the 3DS line of products, but could have been better. WiFi antenna seems improved from the original Switch. On my OG Switch, I can get at most 1 bar on the opposite end of my house from my router. With the Lite, it stays at 2 and sometimes hits full signal strength. Very lightweight and comfortable to hold while also giving a strong impression of sturdiness. This feels like a true handheld whereas the OG Switch feels like it might break apart in your hands thanks to the rickety feel of the JoyCon rails. Conclusion the Switch Lite is a very nice compliment to the Switch line and is looking like a worthy successor to the mighty 3DS. It makes for a great gateway into the current gaming landscape and at only 200 USD, its a rather affordable one, too.

I also own a Switch, and was surprised to find I actually prefer the Switch Lite a majority of the time. I do use both devices primarily for handheld gaming. After the initial acclimation to the Lite, you really dont notice that the display is any smaller than the traditional Switchs display. If you are looking for handheld gaming, this is a solid deviceThe blue color is actually more of a purple in most lighting, so maybe avoid if you dislike shades of purple.

Nintendo Switch Lite is an amazing compact version of the original Switch. It may not be as big and you cant remove the joycons but thats okay since this is meant to be for a single person to use and it does that perfectly. My switch hasnt caused me problems at all and its super portable. I reccomend you buy a case and screen protectors just incase because with it being this small it feels a little fragile but its worth it. Ive put so many hours into Breath of The Wild and others and I cant stop playing.

Great item for your child. Even today we all as parents want our children to go outside and play. Do things other than sit and play video games. But I will say that on those days where its raining or to cold or just late Nintendo has the best for a child. Yes PS45 and Xbox have better graphics but most their games are based on an adult perspective and game style. You can control a switch a lot easier with parental controls then the other two consoles. I know I have them all. Just a Great item.

What a handy and space saving game console this is If you are not interested in paying full price for an original Switch and you dont care about playing the system on your TV, this is perfect for you. While more compact, I feel that the size does not sacrifice the graphical quality or frame rate of the games. Technically I suppose it would underperform when compared to the classic Switch, but I doubt you will even notice as such. The one very minor issue I have is that the rumble capability is absent. That may make some games like Super Mario Odyssey a touch more difficult to play. Also, while not really an issue for me, I would like to point out that the motion controls are not great either. Granted, in most games you can take off motion controls in the Settings options. Still, its worth noting for those that enjoy that level of immersion in their games.

Switch completely died after 4 months. Sent it back for repairs and received another switch that was incredibly used and dirty. Contacted Nintendo and they made it right. Returned the one they sent and I received a certified refurbished unit from Nintendo. They also extended the warranty and gave me a free download code for Luigis Mansion 3. As for Best Buy, they were the only ones who had the switch in stock at the time and the shipping was fast as usual. The rating would be lower, but Nintendos customer service was exceptional. However my son loves playing it and there are a ton of games available on the eshop. Overall its worth it, just not made as good as the original switch.

My brother and I bought a Nintendo Switch together on launch day. I enjoyed playing games on it, but I preferred playing in handheld mode, and I was dreaming about the possible release of a smaller, lighter Switch. When the Switch Lite was announced, I knew I just had to have one.I love my Switch Lite, and I rarely miss playing docked mode, although I do play on the TV with my friends Switch when we play couch coop. Playing games on the Switch Lite is a much better experience than playing handheld with a regular Switch because the Lite weighs less and doesnt have the creakiness that the regular Switch has from the joycon connection flexing while you play.

I originally wanted a full fledged switch, however non been available for months, so I got a lite when they became available. The light has a slightly smaller screen than a standard, and does not have an official cordport to connect to a TV. However you can still connect any extra compatible controllers and joy cons to it to play multiplayer. And since it does not have detachable joy cons its self, you can not play with more than 1 person with just the console its self, however you get the addition of a real Dpad directional pad with the lite, in place of the 4 buttons on a regular switch joy con.It is light weight, and will fit into deeper pockets. So its great for portabilityIt has a charger cord with a very long end of the plug, about 4 inches down, so keep that in mind when choosing an outlet to charge it.

Nintendo has always been know for creating products that are out of the ordinary. This console is no exception. I love the original Switch but probably love this one even more. The size is just perfect and it is much lighter which makes gaming even more comfortable believe it or not. The yellow color they chose is also very stylish and attractive. Love the Switch and cant wait until they release the next version which Im sure will come out eventually. Lets go 4k

This is the gaming device Ive been dreaming of. As a young child I owned a SEGA GAME GEAR and I was heartbroken when my Dad smashed mine in a freak accident. Fast forward 20 years later and I found myself taking a gamble on the Nintendo Switch Lite…..OH MY GOD ITS EVEN BETTER THAN THE GAME GEAR I HAD AS A KID The screen is bigger, the controls are excellent. I purchased Assassins Creed Black Flag with this buy and its just beyond amazing. I truly appreciate how high quality the gaming experience is. If you are looking for more personal gaming all to yourself, do not hesitate any longer and buy this Its beyond amazing.

We already had a regular console Nintendo Switch but at the height of Covid19, when Animal Crossing New Horizons came out, we got hooked So, we decided to get a switch lite so that my son and I could play together on separate islands. This worked out perfect The only draw back is that you cannot share the game cannot have them both as my primary device so we had to purchase the game again so that we could have 2 separate islands. So, in the end, we spent more than we wanted to. BUT, we got hundreds of hours of game play and it kept us busy when everything was shut down so, in the end, it was worth it for us. You can do everything with the lite that you can with a regular switch minus detaching the joycons there is not detachable pieces its all one and you have to use it hand held instead of being able to put it on the TV. Again, that worked out perfect for us because I played on the TV and my son sat next to me on his lite. It was a win for us

This is a great way to play some great Nintendo Switch games, especially if youre on a limited budget. Granted there will be a few tradeoffs considering it comes in at about 100 lower than the regular Switch system, but overall, Id say its well worth it, especially if youre on the go, or dont need to hook it to a TV.Battery life is decent, and will probably vary depending on which games you play on it. With Lego City Undercover, I get probably around 3.5 to just under 4 hours on a charge, for example. But since you can still play it while its charging up, thats really not too much of an issue, in my opinion. The screen is nice and bright, and very sharp as well. Nintendo certainly did a great job here, and the controls feel nice too.Like Ive seen a few others mention, the overall audio could stand to be somewhat louder, but considering the smaller size of this unit, thats probably to be a little bit expected.Overall, I think Nintendo did an excellent job with this system, especially at this price point. The slim size of the Switch Lite gives it a great portability factor as well. I highly recommend it.

Pros The device is lightweight and a great size, I have quite small hands and have no trouble using it at all. The build quality is excellent it feels sturdy and great to hold. So far Ive been playing it every day and have had no issues. Its a great choice if youre not interested in the tv or tabletop modes of the original switch.Cons It would be good to be able to use this crossplatform for more games, or to be able to access my other gaming accounts like steam.

If you are looking for a gaming console that is a tad smaller than the original Nintendo Switch, but still allows the functionality of the games you have found a device that can work for you. I love the feel of the plastic. The down side for many would be not docking the device like the original switch, or being able to stream the video to the TV from the console, but for me these were non issues. I planned on primarily using this device for Animal Crossing New Horizon, and it has honestly been perfect. After four or five hours I do see the device die or at least get to low battery, but this is not an issue, considering we should all break once on a while to rest our eyes. Regardless, I am happy with my decision, and I am EXTREMELY happy with the fast service and shipping from Best Buy. You all are doing amazing especially in the face of such a pandemic. Keep up the great work

PROSThe device deserves no less than 5 stars because it is the device that plays the best video games. Its lightweight, bright, well constructed, good enough graphics, good size screen, nice battery, it has a headphone port.ConsNot very ergonomic you may want to get a grip extension for it.There isnt a lot of storage that comes with it, but you can add storage with a microso card.Games for it get pretty pricey, they are worth it, but I recommend buying the games used when possible. There is no way to hook this up to TV or external monitor, sometimes when viewing a cutscene in a game, or playing a big open world game, I feel like I could be missing out on some quality by not having as much of a screen. There is no Bluetooth for headphones, you have to use the headphone jack or the speakers.

I really wanted to like this thinking that the small size would Be better for travel. However, it also means hitting the wrong buttons accidentally sometimes in the middle of the game.None of this has anything to do with the way it was delivered to me or anything That Best Buy did or didnt do. Best Buy was great and did their job effectively and even with the coronavirus going on I still managed to get it in a timely fashion. So kudos to Best Buy I just probably shouldve bought the bigger regular switch. I was swayed by the size, the cheaper cost and my favorite color. Teal. And all this so that a 64 Year old woman confined by the coronavirus could play animal crossing with her daughter and friends and occupy her anxiety ridden brain with something other than listening to books being read to her and listening to trumps drivel. I bought this about two weeks and I love it. Its a great device and its very light weight, easy to move around I am satisfied with my purchase. I played it for probably 3 12ish 4 hours before I got the low battery message. Pretty fast charging also. Put it on at 20 and checked maybe 510 minutes later and it was already at 71. So very decent battery. Thats why I gave it 4 stars, nothing terrible. I am not complaining. Screen size is also very good. Highly recommend for on the go single player. If youre looking to prop it up and use joy cons, play on TV or want 2 players, console is probably your best fit. Also certain games cant be played on the lite. You will know because on the back of the game it will show 3 different forms. TV, switch with 2 joy cons and the last is the lite picture. If the lite picture is grayed out or has an X its not compatible with the lite.Hope this helps someone Happy shopping.

I had been contemplating on getting the Nintendo Switch Lite because I already have the normal system but I liked the idea of having something more compact and easily accessible. I began my search for the Lite but all I could locate were the gray colored one. So I went to Best Buy as a last minute thought. They had all the colors so I ended going with the turquoise one. Got home and immediately began playing games on my Lite The colors are bright, the contrast crisp, and I actually feel more like I did when I was younger with my Gameboy Color The system runs smoothly and efficiently This was one of the best things for me to find in 2020 due to everything going on

Bought this for my nieces birthday. Gave it to her today. The Switch Lite would not work. Talked to Nintendo the model number I received is for Japan. Talked to QVC. The QVC rep said it should have been the US Switch Lite. They do not know how this happened. Asked if they would send me a replacement and I would return this one. Their policy is that they cannot send a replacement before the original item is returned. I do not think that the child should have to wait 2 3 weeks for her birthday present especially since we were sent the wrong product to begin with. Very disappointment with QVC customer service I now know exactly what my being a customer means to QVC

This is the best purchase Ive made thus far in 2020. The weight of the lite truly is beautiful. It isnt a burden to carry or use. I really do appreciate the design. Unlike most glass screen products, to the touch the Lite screen is strong. I have not dropped my screen and hopefully will never but from the touch itself the screen is durable. The buttons are so light. I tend to jam at buttons when Im playing games but I have no desire to because the design of the Switch. It truly feels lite in your hands. In fact, I have a deep admiration for the buttons. The design of the switch simply is beautiful and dare I say elegant. I also enjoy the simplicity of the machine. With former DS Nintendo systems, there was so much going on in the back end. With this, its your general settings, access to your friends and playing the game of your choosing. My only complaint is more personal. Im 18 and I have bigger hands than a child. Sometimes my hands do get tired. Take note that I spend hours on Fortnite and I mean hoursssss so I do think that is my fault. Please purchase this product. You will be satisfied. I bought this product to bring me immense joy and I promise you it will give you that. You are also sure to find a game you like. Outside of the actual system the games themselves are absurdly expensive. Buy used games and dont buy them from Nintendo. Bye

Purchased this Switch Lite once Covid19 reared its ugly face. The purchase was a great investment for being stuck at home all this time. You have access to some of the Nintendo greats as well as new games that are constantly releasing.Nintendo has come along way on the game content they offer. While they have titles for the more mature gamers, this system still heavily leans to the family side of games. I also have noticed it seems to take aim and anime fans a lot more than other systems. So the game selection is still a bit limited from maybe what other systems offer. Online isnt something the Switch Lite excels at either. Again, this is fairly normal for Nintendo though.Battery life is great on the Switch Lite And as far as controls it is a clean, simple and easy setup. This is a staple of Nintendo over the years so you shouldnt expect anything less. The Lite also feels fairly solid so can take a few bumps is my guess. However, the Switch Lite isnt easy on your hands and I do highly recommend dropping some additional money on a case, specifically one with ergonomic handles. If youre looking to be playing a long period of time it is a must unfortunately. It isnt too comfortable for those long stretches otherwise.Overall the Nintendo Switch Lite is a nice purchase for a gamer on the go. While limited in a few aspects it still offers up enough to keep you going for quite some time. If youre looking to be blown away with performance, game selection and serious online options though, youll want to look elsewhere.

Every improvement the Switch Lite offers is matched by an equivalent drawback. As most other reviewers have indicated, the cheaper price point comes at the expense of docking ability and the rumble and motion control features of the joy con controllers. We knew that once the specs were announced. The Switch Lite was supposed to be offer a cheaper entry to the Switch platform aimed at players who are predisposed to use the system in handheld mode. Some of the lost features make perfect sense in this respect a smaller screen size and form factor would necessitate permanently attaching the controllers, and docking ability could be omitted for a system that was designed with handheld use in mind. Whats surprising about this model is how it solves some problems that plagued the OG Switch and introduces new ones the spec sheet didnt suggestIMPROVEMENTS Better display for handheld mode, simply because a smaller screen features greater pixel density at the same 720p resolution. Some players think the display panel is of slightly higher quality, but the difference is negligible.Battery life has been slightly improved. The standout improvement, however, has to be in the body build. The Switch Lite uses a rigid plastic chassis that doesnt squeak or do the banana bend like the regular Switch. The display is mounted inside the chassis too, rather than inserted into a frame like in the original Switch. Those of us who have had screens start to pop out of the body on the regular Switch will be overjoyed with the design of the Lite, which has a unibody style of construction keeping the screen safely where it should be.DOWNGRADESThe controls, meaning the actual joysticks and buttons, are flimsy and audibly squeak when used. Those of us worried about joy con drift wont find any comfort in the design of the Switch Lites sticks and buttons. The left thumbstick squeals when manipulated. The directional pad sits in a cavity noticeably larger than the button itself, making it slide uneasily when pushed. Even the input buttons on the right side feel wiggly, and they dont push into the device as smoothly as right joy con buttons do. Use the Switch Lite for a day and youll be wondering when the sticks are going to pop off, and how much itll cost for Nintendo to repair it.The speakers are a little on the weak side too, and their placement inevitably leads to users hands muffling them. And this little guy gets HOT when playing resourceintensive games. The heat vents at the top of the device are smaller too, so the extra heat produced in the console interior has even less of a chance to escape. Will the Switch Lite eventually melt its own insidesWhen the Lite was announced, all the technical tradeoffs for the lower price and the portable focus felt justified. The OG Switch is kind of uncomfortable in handheld mode, and prolonged handheld use can put a great big ol bend in your Switch if you grip it too tightly. Gamers who wanted a better portable model had every reason to be excited by the Switch Lite. For the most part, the Lite model succeeds at what it was built to do offer a better on the go Switch experience But the concerns posed by the fragilefeeling buttons and the rapid heatup of the device when in use leave me wondering how long this thing is going to last.Note to Nintendo please make a Switch model that does not suffer from an alarming hardware problem.

Ive owned many handheld consoles over the years GBA, DS, 3DS, PSP, and PS Vita. By far, Switch Lite takes the cake. The screen is large enough to display the details, though if your eyesight is less than perfect, you may have to squint on a few of the textheavy games that were not designed with a small screen in mind so far, Ive tried several games with no real issues. The resolution and color vibrancy is just beautiful, sound is great, load times are minimal, battery life is impressive, and its actually quite comfortable to hold for hours on end, even for someone with small hands like meBeyond the hardware, Nintendos library for the Switch is on par with Sony and Microsofts offerings, which is a nice improvement over previous systems. Add to that the classic titles that Nintendo is known for, and you just cant beat it.Absolutely recommended

We have the yellow switch lite and have owned it for 4 months now. Im not much of a gamer myself but after playing it myself I started playing Mario Odyssey. I love the games offered for the switch it brings back old childhood memories. I dont think the games are as great as they use to be growing up but again Mario Odyssey is a very good game. Also Luigis mansion is another game I would highly recommend. We enjoy the game system being portable and light. It has a good battery life as well, controls are simply, and you dont have to worry about replacing joycons like the original switch. Honestly if you dont mind not being able to play on your tv this is the better option for the switch plus its cheaper

I bought this item and I absolutely loved almost everything about it. I bought Animal Crossing along with it as well and I played it every single day. The feel of it is just fun and exciting and its one of the best things Ive ever bought. This was all until my beloved yellow switch lite was stolen from my house. I wasnt very reckless with it but my mom forgot to close the garage door one day and the first thing you would see as you entered the house was the switch lite so were assuming whoever stole it grabbed it and ran, which is a shame because I had a screen protector and case on it and everything. The bad thing about Nintendo is that there is no way to track the switch unless you have either the Parental Controls app, which allows you to see when the switch has been played, or the serial number of the console which law enforcement can use to see if the console has been connected to the internet if you have a subpoena. Unless you want to go through legal stuff, its almost impossible to track it even if it was lost in your house. Nintendo also has a very poor security system. It doesnt require a password to get into the switch and burglars could easily sign out and sell it again. At this moment in time my switch is still missing but law enforcement is looking for it. They probably wont find it and then Ill have to buy another switch. I hope you will benefit from my experience and be much more careful with your Nintendo Switches than I was.

I had the standard switch a while before I naively sold it during the great game drought of 2018 a few months before release of Smash. Ever since then I had been going back and forth about getting another Switch. When I finally had the money to spare, quarantine had hit and the only version I could get my hands on was the Lite. The Lite will never fully satisfy me the way the full size Switch did. However, where it lacks in features it makes up for in the nostalgic department. No, you cant dock it to play on a larger screen. While playing any kind of shared screen multiplayer game is possible, the Lite was not meant for that. This console is meant to be the next step in the GameBoy. It still has Online play so you can play Mario Kart with strangers and invite friends to see your Island on Animal Crossing. And it has Local play where you can connect with other Switches near you, kind of reminiscent of the old link cable for the GameBoy.The included charging cable is a little to short and with the battery life lasting just about 45 hours on full brightness I suggest either taking breaks to charge it or buying a longer cable so you can play and charge at the same time. The on board storage for this thing is half the size as my phone. At 32 GB you can only fit a handful of games on this bad boy, so choose wisely. I do suggest getting a larger SD card, 128 GB or more should be good.Overall I really like this thing. It scratches the itch for that Nintendo experience, but if you want the whole package you got to get its big brother.Switch Lite 810Switch 910

I just didnt expect to use neither in the first 2 months after purchase Make sure to purchase a warranty if you buy this Nintendo had amazing customer service so they made my process a lot easier.

This unit, Nintendo Switch Lite is a really solid, lightweight game console. It looks super cute and is way more portable than the original Nintendo Switch. The turquoise color is great, and the feel of the buttons is solid. Although the screen is slightly smaller than the OG Switch, everything looks great during game play. If you dont want to spring for the Nintendo Switch, or just prefer one solid unit vs the controllers being removable, or youre feeling like treating yourself to a secondary unit thats arguably more portable, this unit is for you. That said, if youre looking to go back and forth between the OG and the switch lite with Animal Crossing, its a bit complicated… just read up on that before you purchase a second unit because once you transfer your island to another console, I believe youre locked in. Maybe you can switch back, but its not like most games that you would download online that are more easily accessed by any console you have registered to your Nintendo Online account.

One of the most versatile gaming systems on the market. After the 3DS died and stopped being made, there was some apprehension in buying another Nintendo product. However, the switch lite is well made, decent quality screen. Volume is lacking. The real benefit is that you can play all switch games on the market and there are a lot to choose from.As a parent, Nintendo hit it out of the park with their parental controls. I love being able to limit the number of hours played daily as well as when the switch stops working at night. The ability to also control the games and limit based on the rating is also a great feature. I get texts if the kids try and circumvent the password Not Possible. I wish all electronics had these awesome features and a builtin app. Kids are not as happy being controlled, but I could not be happier having the control.

I absolutely fell in love with Nintendo Switch when I bought this. First off the games and the fun factor is an easy 10 out of 10 in my opinion. If you plan on playing mostly by yourself, and want something for on the go this MIGHT be perfect for you. The downside for me is the full size version just offers so many more options for just a bit more . After a couple of weeks I realized quickly the extra 100 for how much more the full size switch offers its own kick stand for the screen, connect and play on a tv, a bigger screen on the console it self, detachable controllers making 2 player an option right out of the box without buying extras, and is also still very portable was a much better option for me personally. I feel like when compared to what you get for 300 with the full sized version the Lite is a little overpriced at 200. Its hard to even say its not worth 200. Just For an extra 100 you get way more options of how to play. I ended up selling this after 3 weeks and buying the full sized version.

I was skeptical of the nondocking feature and only portable handheld. I must say I do not regret my decision one bit, for me handheld would be the majority of the time I play the switch anyway. Of course have any extra future would be nice, but add an extra hundred dollar mark up I dont know that its worth it for me. The screen is slightly smaller than the switch, but I prefer it with the native resolution been 720 P. Making the game still look sharp and detailed, only downside I can see in the future is the nonremovable joy cons. But really thats the price you pay with a dedicated portable system. Look at the PSPs and more accurately other Nintendo portables. This switch definitely has its niche market, and I think I fit right in there. Great item, great quality, great color.

Outside of the SNES being my very first console as a young child, I have always stuck to PlayStation. On current gen I actually bought a switch and sold it because I rarely used it Im docked mode due to having my PS4. However, the handheld mode left an itch the original switch also couldnt scratch for some reason. I ordered the Lite because it feels like a true handheld console unlike the OG switch. The Lite just feels better when playing in your hands. It is now great having it around and I have a better love for it now that it works better for the purpose I need it for. Battery life is not perfect, but reasonable. Ive played Links awakening, currently on Fire Emblem 3 Houses, and looking forward to BOTW. Bought it for my wife and she loves it Its her first console and she was able to use it with ease and had no problems getting it set up. As a veteran gamer and a switch user, I love the way it feels in my hand. Its so much more comfortable and easier to use than the regular switch in handheld mode. The joycons being fixed in place make it more comfortable to use, but I miss the stand on the back, and not being able to remove the joycons does take some freedom away. I think its the perfect handheld console though. Would recommend. Only downside is the Switch Lite cannot be played on a TV its purely a handheld. I did not know that going in as its not explicitly advertised, but it is stated. Did not end up mattering, but it could have potentially been a problem.

So weigh up whether you want a physical game or an online download version. Pros and cons to each. If Nintendo estore closes, you lose the game You cannot sell an online version, if child gets bored of it either But, download is very quick and easy, with no games to lose Animal crossing came very recommended by other parents. The Nintendo Switch Lite is so fun. We have a regular Switch and added a Switch Lite so different people can be playing different games at the same time. The Switch Lite is, dare I say, more popular for oneperson games. Its light cant decide if this pun was intended or not, easy to move around, has a clear screen and feels just right in your hands whether your laying out on your stomach, lounging on the couch, or sitting up in a chair. We havent done it much, but you can even pair a pro controller for more serious oneperson gaming without being tethered to wherever youve already got a TV.My only real gripe is that transferring game data between the two consoles is way more clunky and cumbersome than it should be, considering that cloud saves are a subscription feature we pay extra for. Nintendo really needs to make that process completely automated or, failing that, at least a oneclick option instead being buried three screens deep in an obscure menu.

The Switch Lite is fine so far. Im a little worried about the infamous joycon drift showing up in this where the joycons are not detachable. Im disappointed in Nintendo, however, because we were expecting to be able to play our digital purchases on the Switch Lite, but Nintendo doesnt allow you to play under any other account than the one that bought the digital game. So, my kids cant play the games on their own accounts. Disappointing. I almost returned it because all of our games are digital.

The most comfortable portable gaming experience Ive ever had. The soft texture of the Switch Lite feels good in your hands, and the overall smaller size compared to the regular Switch is much appreciated for longer gaming sessions. Each button has satisfying feedback with not a hint of mushiness sometimes associated with cheap controllers. The joysticks are small, but dont feel too touchy and allow for plenty of manipulation. The on the left side is an improvement over the four buttons on the regular joycons, and is better for sidescrollingplatformer games.Though the display is smaller than the standard Switch, it has slimmer bezels and appears brighter so you do not really notice the smaller size. Colors are vibrant and the screen can get quite dim to save battery life in situations where you dont need the brightness. The speakers are adequate considering the distance to your ears should only be about an arms length. Unfortunately, this device still does not seem to support standard Bluetooth connections to headphones, so youll need an adapter to use your favorite Bluetooth earphones. Wired connection is a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.Gone is the kickstand found on the standard Switch, but this device can be used with the Pro Controller and separate JoyCons if you use a separate stand to hold the Switch up.Though I didnt fully test it, the battery life is about 1.5x the standard Switch. That means instead of 3 hours in Breath of the Wild, you get about 5. Thats a nice bumpThe only reason for 4 stars is the fact that by design there is no way to use the Switch Lite with your TV. I understand the goal of this device is to be used as a handheld, and so no dock is included but if there was a way to use a USB to HDMI adapter and play through the TV that would truly make this an amazing device. However, Nintendo knows they dont want too cannibalize business from the original Switch and the customer buying this should be aware of that limitation. Also, some games require joycons to play Mario Party for example and that means buying an additional set with added costs. Thats a very limited number of games, so that alone shouldnt deter you from buying.I highly recommend the Switch Lite as a second console

I did an in store comparison to the Switch and there really isnt that much size difference. The graphics are fantastic, and the switch lite is easy to hold. I love the bright yellow. I purchased the Nintendo switch lite to be able to play Nintendo games online with friends. My initial thought about the original switch was that the controllers were difficult to get used to. I enjoy the switch lite because its more compact and it feels familiar to a DSi.The cons is that Nintendo Switch games are tailored to be played on a larger screen, so on the small screen, the scaling of words and details requires more eye strain.Another con, which is the obvious its meant for single player. So people cant connect more controllers to make it a couchmultiplayer console. So I would recommend getting the original switch so siblings and friends can play along.Overall, the switch lite met my expectations. I only wished for a console to play Nintendo games when I have some alone time and to relax. With the online membership, Im able to connect with friends around the country and play little minigames. Also, the yellow on the switch lite is a beautiful color.

Very nice product. Lightweight, durable, kidfriendly. Good brightness on screen. It does have a glare so Id recommend an antiglare screen protector. All controls work great. Ours is handled by an 8yr old and holds up well. It has a sturdy build that doesnt damage easily.Comes with a charging cable. It charges within a half hour at around 5 battery and lasts for about 34 hours after heavy usage. Thats long enough for our kid to take a charging break and get off of it for a while. This switch lite is easier for younger kids so they dont have to worry about handling the removable handles that need recharged after a while. This is a single device that has less pieces to worry about. The downside is not being able to switch to the TV display to play their games. But this one is the more durable option for onthego playing. Its smaller and much lighter than the regular switch.

The blue Switch Lite is a really cool dark blue and I found it to be more comfortable to play on than the bigger Switch console. It felt a lot lighter too which also helped when my friend was beating me at Mario Kart. The buttons also feel very nice and have a good grip on them compared to other consoles which is very handy when you need to hold them down for a long time. The battery life is also very good. Not only have I managed to get a lot of playtime out of it on a single charge but it also didnt take very long for it fully charge either. If anyone is looking to buy this, I would also recommend that they buy a case to go with it because my one lives in its box still and pulling it in and out of its packaging isnt ideal for when I want lose to my friend in Mario Kart for the fiftieth time.A microSD card is also a good idea if youre planning on buying a lot of games, however I dont think its as necessary as I thought it would be. If you think youll need it, make sure its one of the last things you get to complete your Switch Lite setup. The Switch Lite also does not come with a kickstand like the bigger Switch but you can get a charging stand for it. However, if youre only going to be using this for handheld gaming, the missing kickstand wont be an issue.I would also check which games need separate joycons to play them because, as the controls on this console are not detatchable, you wont be able to play them with the Switch Lite. This list is rather small though but a way around this problem is to order joycons separately and hook them up to your Switch Lite the same way you would with the bigger Switch and play them that way. This is not nearly as big of an issue as it sounds though. The Switch Lite also will not fit in a Nintendo Switch dock so you cant play it using your TV.Overall, I really like the Switch Lite. The cheaper price tag compared to other consoles makes it accessible for those who dont have the money or space for a home console and youll be able to play the most popular and recent games on the go. However, be aware that the Switch Lite is a handheld console and is made with that in mind.

So Im obsessed with pinkish themes so this color was perfect Unfortunately I couldnt justify owning three switch consoles, so decided to gift this one to my sister. She loved it right away. The buttons are easy to use and she decorated with stickers. Would recommend buying a transparent case then putting on the stickers.Youre one kicky sob if you get to buy it right now cause this particular color has been out of stock everywhere. This fame is a perfect gift. Pair it with acnh and youll get a perfect combo.

Honestly, I was surprised that these had such a low price especially compared to plasticsingle use utensils that are not recyclable. I love that these are dishwasher safe and biodegradable. We especially liked them when camping instead of using plastic utensils that break. I was especially impressed with how well the knife could actually cut a steak The kids accidentally threw a few away, which wasnt a big deal because we are definitely getting another pack. Great for backpacking and camping, and very strongsturdy.

Fits in the bag, hundreds of awesome games, dont open up social media and check it, dont go online to talk smack, instead open up your Nintendo Switch Lite Level up your character, dungeon crawl, Guide Link around in that beautiful world or get some great value indie games from the Nintendo Online Store THAT is the screen to be looking at. Dont get free games for the mobile phone, those are gimicky, those are a cash grab. Instead game on this while waiting in line, on the subway, at the medical appointment because COVID has figuratively and often times literally grabbed you by the insert what Drumpf said. Because when you game with Nintendo folks, you are really doing it, not this fake shhh that tracks your location.

Love the colour. I bought it for my son as we just had a abit if an ordeal to find a regular Nintendo switch in stores. I finally found one and I find we always want to play at the same time. I settled for this as regular switches are like finding gold at this timeWell I must say its easier on the hands as it is a bit smaller and lighter than the regular switch. My hands have been hurting lately, Im sure from holding my phone on a ring and having it in the wrong place and holding this switch is the difference between that pain being there or not. so I find the size perfect. You wont be able to play SOME games on it like Just Dance because it involves getting up and dancing with motion and we are a big party games Sort of household so thats a little minus for us. it also cannot dock to the TV like a regular switch can. It will always be handheld. The other thing I dont like about it is its ability to switch out games. Its stimilar to how the Xbox is setup If you have two consoles. One HAS to be your home console and the other needs internet for the ability to check if your games and account really Belong to you. So I have to make the switch lite my main console so it can always play the games as sometimes it wont be connected to internet when it leaves the house. my switch I like to play on TV so I dont plan to do a lot of major moving out of the house and as it will always be inside it will always have internet to check the games, if that makes sense to you.If you have two consoles that you need to plan around that. Its really inconvenient for a console that is portable as sometimes one or BOTH may not have internet so only one may have access to the games.I knocked a start of for that gripe for inconvenience. The other things I already knew about before buying the switch.I bought these to play animal crossing. Although its the game The system can only hold 1 hard copy of your island. If you intend two people to play on the same account they will move to your islandYour island is also non transferable. I tried to play my island on the switch lite and it basically started me over. The system or game doesnt have a cloud save and is only able to store on there system itself not memory card. You will also need a memory card if your going to play a couple of good games. It has a 32gb hard drive.Im definitely getting a screen coverI would have preferred a regular console but Im glad these came back in stock.

I love the lite as a portable and easy way to pass the time. However, if you do have the extra money to buy the full switch, I would recommend you do that. Im actually considering finally making the switch to the full one even though we already have one in the house. Its a little sad that it cant connect to the TV to play on the big screen and if you have issues with the joysticks, you cant just go out and buy new ones as easily as the full version.I recommend the lite if youre really just wanting to stick with the compact console feel and youre tight on cash. I got mine at the beginning of the pandemic because it was impossible to get the full one. I still enjoy it, but each has their own perks that youll have to weigh before buying.

Pros Zelda is a superb game, get hours upon hours of game play and plenty to do in the game still There are a few other titles like your obvious, mario cart, mario world etc….. I got Animal crossing with mine but not my cup of tea so gave it to other half and she plays it with the kids. They all love it as theyve all got the game so can interact with each other and go to each others worlds.Cons Games are very pricey and to be completely honest, they havent got a hell of alot of choice for me The ones they have on special offer in store are pretty poor too. Nintendo really need to drop theyre prices on the games and release some new ones How many years has mariocart 8 been out now Console is a reasonable price if you can get one with a bundle…. Another thing, battery life is okay, but for me, in this day and age, isnt as good as it could be Nintendo have already rerelease the Switch with improved battery so why is my New switch lite running out of battery when my other half still has 30

I avoided getting the Nintendo Switch at launch since it didnt have much of a lineup of games at first. I also heard battery life wasnt amazing, which was a major issue for me since I planned to use the Switch purely as a handheld system. I also heard issues about joycon drift,so that made me even more apprehensive about getting one.I am extremely glad I didnt end up buying a Nintendo Switch, because when the Switch Lite was announced,my excitement was unreal. Better battery life, smaller, more portable size and no detachable joycons This was exactly what I wanted. I preordered it as soon as it was available and having used it since release,Im still loving the system. The battery lasts me for several hours and the screen quality is amazing. The system can get a little warm at times if youre playing a graphically intense game,or if youre playing it for hours nonstop. However,it doesnt get SO hot that it burns you or that you should be worried. I dont have any real gripes with the system as of yet,but Ill be sure to update my review if any defects occur in the coming monthsIf you dont have a Switch and dont care for playing games on the TV,I highly recommend the Switch Lite Very nifty little system

Purchased from Best Buy for a Christmas gift for our son. He really enjoys it. One of the only things that kinda stinks is you need to be careful what games you buy cause not all switch games are compatible with the lite version such as multi player or mario party games. Shortly after giving to our son the charger stopped working and an online Best Buy rep said to go to our local Best Buy and they will replace the charger. When we went there they said they couldnt replace the charger but we could buy a phone charger that would work with it. Didnt really want to purchase another charger after just spending 200 on the switch and charger together and didnt seem right that we would need to. Went on Nintendos website to see if it could be replaced and there didnt seem to be an option to address issues with items such as chargers.

I love it for form and function. Got my the family regular one which lets me sync my gameplay over the cloud whenever I want to play on a big screen. If it wasnt for that though, I wouldve gone for the bigger one so I dont regret not having that option. But thats for me. Otherwise, I think I could live with just playing the switch and be happy. In fact, most of my personal gameplay that isnt multiplayer with my family is on my Lite so its big chillin. I love this for on the go gaming. It runs nice, screen is kinda small but not complaining at all. Overall I love and enjoy it a lot.

Excellent console if you can live without the TV connection. Controls are great and still responsive after months of hard beating by my kids, which initially was a concern of mine. Dropped a couple of times and although no noticeable damage, I strongly recommend a case and screen protector. Tons of fun and worth the money, although I would go for the full Switch version if you are undecided. I only got this as we already have a Switch plugged to our TV 24×7 and this travels easy. Keep in mind that some accessories like wired controllers might not work in the Lite. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and quality of the product.

I thought that by buying the coral switch lite, Id be happier. Not knowing, the turquoise switch I already had… was honestly the best and my favorite one. This console is a major upgrade from my Nintendo 3ds. The graphics on it look way better, and video games have come a long way as far as graphics. I prefer the handheld switch lite over the one you connect on the tv, because I just have no room on my counter for more devices. I know the downfall is, that I cannot play some of the games available on the regular switch. And Im okay with that Being able to take my lite on the go, is also a major plus. I highly recommend this, and the price is not too bad on it either

The Blue Nintendo Switch Lite is a fantastic handheld gaming system. I have owned all of the Nintendo Handhelds going back to the Gameboy Advance Sp. It is neat to see how Nintendo s portable systems have evolved through the years. Each iteration was special, but Nintendo really hit a homerun with the Switch Lite. The system is smartly designed and feels great in your hands. Oh, and the blue one is a looker The few people I have shown it to have immediately wanted one for themselves. When you consider the amount of great games available for the system, things get even more interesting. Series like Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem and many more are all here and play great on the Switch Lite. The elephant in the room is that Nintendo is rumored to be releasing a new version of the Switch some time in 2021. It is highly likely that the new Switch will cost quite a bit more than this Switch Lite though. So, if you have the funds, it may be best to be patient and wait for the new Switch Pro. However, if your gaming budget tops out at the price of a Switch Lite, you will still be getting a great handheld that will play your favorite Switch games beautifully. One important thing to consider. There is always the chance that during ordering, shipping or with the unit itself, that a problem could pop up. My experience is that Walmart Customer Service will do absolutely nothing to help you if you have any issues. Given that the Switch Lite is readily available everywhere, you may want to take Walmarts lack of support into consideration before buying it here. Hope this review was helpful.

I ordered this set along with the one that comes with mindcraft for my kids. The one that came with mario cart did not come with the screen protector or the ear buds and the one with mindcraft was missing the ear buds the charging dock and the hard plastic case. Also the one that came with mariocart was clearly returned because when we turned it on some one had already created an account on it and saved their name and picked their icon. One of the cases has elastic straps in it to secure the system in place the other does not, cause the system to slide around in the case when carried. To be honest the ear buds are whatever they are cheap no big deal and yes I can get another screen protector for a few bucks but the charging doc is not so cheep. I called QVC and was told I would have to box everything back up and send it all back to them. Seriously the reason we know the system was used is because we un boxed it and turned it on This comes after our last purchase of 2 laptops and literally half a dozen phone calls and 3 months for software that was supposed to come with that never did. I love QVC but clearly I will not be buying any tech from them in the future.

I love this cutlery so much that I ordered this set as a Christmas gift. These utensils are durable I prefer to use these in place of plastic utensils for BBQs, picnics, camping, etc. After use, I soak them and then run them through the dishwasher. Even with regular use and washing in the dishwasher, they are still in great shape and are much more durable than plastic. The knifes are safe to the touch but are surprisingly impressive for cutting

Full disclosure I already have a Nintendo Switch second generation and I love the system. The Nintendo Switch Lite is meant to address some portability issues I had with the original, which is why I decided to give it a go.First things first Portability. The original Switch always felt pretty good in my hands. However, it was always a bit cumbersome to handle sometimes and I would not play for extended periods. The detachable controllers are nice, but they feel a bit too loose and clunky. I have small hands, so I tended to feel uncomfortable while grabbing the unit, which now feels like a tablet. I hardly ever used the screen touch feature, especially since holding it on one hand feels unbalanced. So, upon handling the Switch Lite for the first time, I really was surprised as to how light and small the system is. I must say that it does kind of feel like a toy. I am actually able to put it in my pants pockets most of the time. I picked the graywhite system which looks a bit less flashy and fits my style. It has a matte finish that seems to be fingerprintresistant. The unit features one solid body with the controls a bit more congested. However, this to me proved much more convenient. The shoulder buttons feel just like the original, but I can cover them easier. The action buttons are a tad springier and the replacement of the directional action buttons for an actual Dpad was gold. The screen is great, being perhaps a bit brighter or bluish. While the resolution is the same 720P undocked, it seems sharper because of the smaller screen, making a higher PPI pixels per inch display. Every game I tried looks gorgeous and plays just as expected. The battery life is about 34 hours depending on what game you are playing, the screen brightness and if you are connected to WIFI. Its worth mentioning that the Lite does not have rumble features. So, the big question is If I already have an Original Switch, should I get this one in addition, replacement or skip entirely This is a complicated question and really depends on your gaming habits. If you play games on the go, on the couch or when in bed most of the time and do not own a Switch, I highly suggest considering the Lite, you would love it. If you would like to play titles on the TV, even every once in a while, I would recommend reconsidering, since the Lite does not have the switch feature and cannot be docked. If you play coop or party games, then the Lite is not for you. While you could use wireless controllers in addition to the units, the screen is so small that everyone must be within a couple of feet to see it and the Lite does not have a kickstand. Actually, several games do not work well or at all on this unit. I had a horrible time playing some puzzles in Breath of the Wild that involved motion controls. In the end, I must admit that the Lite has become the goto console for me and I have all, including a highend PC. I usually play on the couch when watching a TV show or while on YouTube, when Im at lunch at work or simply right before I go to sleep not sure how healthy this is but. One big gripe I do have is that I wish they had included Bluetooth compatibility since I mostly use wireless headsets. I mean, even the PSP had it. I do have a dongle, but it adds to the form factor of the unit. So, I guess it worked for me and I am very happy with it. Full console experiences in the palm of your hand Yes, please But honestly, it can be a bit hard to justify buying it if you have the original Switch, or worse, if you have the newer version much longer battery life. Id say just go try it hold it in your hands and visualize your experience with it.

The guy in the tech department and I were chatting. I wanted to be able to play games on one, and my daughter on another, both downloaded that I purchased just different games and he said it was fine. Tried to talk me into another switch instead of a lite. He was wrong. You can only be logged in on one switch at a time. After HOURS of installing, reinstalling, fighting with switch online and doing everything possible I find out you cannot be logged in on two systems at the same time. Im sure if you have two accounts, and want this for one, or if you are a single person just wanting a backup or secondary system, this would be great. It is not if you are wanting something for your child to play Pokemon on while you play anything else on the other. My husband is currently returning this to the store. It is not Targets fault with the exception of some poorly knowledgeable tech persons but a flaw in Nintendos system. After my husband left to return it I learned that now it sees the lite he is returning as our primary system and I have to wait hours slow internet speeds for each game to get its save data back from the cloud in order for any of us to play any games at all.

I bought my Nintendo switch lite 3 days ago, from my local target. When the cashier was scanning the box, he didnt see the serial number, so he opened the box and found it on the opposite side. I didnt think anything of it at the time, so I bought it and took it home to set it up and use it. After watching a few review videos online about the switch lite, I noticed that my switch and the charger was not wrapped in plastic upon me opening it, also it didnt come with a manual, which indicates that it had been bought and returned back to the store and also explains why the serial number was not in the right spot. The switch itself seems to be perfectly fine with no issues but it still sucks that I didnt get to open it as a brand new device. Im holding on to it right now as one, I already have set it up and been playing on it, and two these switches are constantly going out of stock and hard to find right now. I just wanted to inform target of this situation. As far as the actual switch lite goes, I really like it and is a device I would recommend to others. The only negative things I have to say about it is that the battery drains fast sometimes, on average I can get anywhere between 24 hours of usage. Lastly the volume is not that great, its very low and I can barely here anything on most of the games that I play. Sometimes its so low that I think that its on mute.

After several hints from my daughter, Stevie Wonder could see what she wanted and of course in yellow. Just seeing her smile on Christmas made it worth it. The screen was vibrant and after she let me check it out reminded me of a next generation gameboy. Its small and lightweight where she can take it anywhere in the house until this pandemic is over. The best thing I did was get the one year online subscription since she didnt tell me what games she wanted, taking the guesswork out of my hands. She can try out games online and has a plethora to choose from without an extra cent coming from dear ol dad. Now whos smiling…

Im ADDICTED to the Switch Lite Its the perfect handheld in every way. Screen is good, sound is good. Games are good. I chose the grey version because the coral and blue ones are way too bright and look like kids toys. The Lite is a handheld only choice that loses a few features of the Switch theres no dock, and it is incompatible with the existing dock due to its smaller form. Theres no removable Joy Cons, and the screen is slightly smaller. Whilst this does sound a bit negative, to me the Lite is the perfect Nintendo Switch. It has a proper Dpad, it fits perfectly in your hands and is very comfortable to use for hours at a time. The battery life is also good, and it is compatible with most of the Switch Library. I say most, because games such as 12 Switch and ARMs, that require the Joy Cons to be separated cant be used due to the fixed controls. Technically, you could buy a set of Joy Cons and connect those if you really wanted to play those games, but then if you did, youd buy a Switch wouldnt you Its also not compatible with Labo, as this is designed around the larger dimensions of the fuller Switch. I couldnt recommend the Nintendo Switch Lite enough if your after a handheld games console.

While Nintendos economy version of the hugely popular Switch platform looks like its more expensive older sibling, there are some significant features users will give up for that 100 in savings. The Switch Lite cannot hook up to a TV via HDMI… or any other cable. The units controllers are integrated, and cannot be removed. Though, this is not really that big of an issue, as you can sync other Joycons to the unit, which we had to do after a thumb stick was damaged in an accidental drop.Without extra Joycons, the system can only play games compatible with Handheld mode. The screen is a little smaller. The battery life is a little shorter. Users will have to do without rumblemode. All things considered, a fantastic system at an incredible price.

Ive always wanted a Nintendo Switch, but as an undergrad with very limited access to a decent TV, I was certain Id only use it in handheld mode, and therefore couldnt justify buying a console whose main selling feature was its versatility. I grew up with an old Nintendo DS and loved it it was welldesigned, lightweight, and functional. But when it broke, I tried out a 3DS and found it to be annoyingly bulky. It wouldnt necessarily have been a big deal, but I knew the bulk was in part due to a bunch of extra features Id never wanted to use that was more frustrating than anything.Enter the Switch Lite. Many of its critics are frustrated with its limited capabilities compared to the original Switch, but for those in my situation, its absolutely phenomenal. The Switch Lite is perfect for those who enjoyed the older DS consoles, but want to play newer Switch games i.e. ACNH.I love the size and weight of mine, which can be attributed to the fact that it has no detachable parts. Again, the lack of Joy Cons are a huge downside for people who are accustomed to the versatility of the original Switch, but to me it feels like an oldfashioned handheld console, and thats all I need.I bought the model Im reviewing turquoise for my sister and have a gray one for myself. They truly are excellent, and have been a lifesaver while social distancing.

I thought, maybe this is something I ordered off Mercari Surely, Best Buy would have placed my expensive, easily damaged item in at least a cardboard box No, it was in cheap packaging, and when I unwrapped the switch the box it comes in was dinged you, scratched and chipped away at. Clearly due to no notice that its a fragile item. Thank God there was no actual damage to the items inside, but Im highly unsatisfied that I dont get to keep the box it came in anymore bc of how trashed it was. Listen, the switch LITE is a handheld only console, hence the smaller size and some downgrades, hence the LITE on the name.If you want the tv and tabletop mode, please stop bickering and spend the extra 100 dollars to get the normal switch, this version of the switch was intentionally made to be only handheld.I repeat.Its. A. Handheld. Only. Console. The screen is the same quality and from the same manufacturer as the normal switch, its smaller so the pixel density makes it look sharper and clean.Theres still drifting on the joysticks, but that can be fixed with a youtube tutorial. The battery is definitely better than the old version of the switch white box but the new version of the switch red box surpasses them.So do your research before you buy which ones you like to get.

My last console was a DS lite so this is quite the upgrade in visuals and game complexity I highly recommend this console above the full Nintendo Switch as, despite not having the gimmick in the name I cannot detach the controllers or play on a bigger screen, it suits my singleplayer style well. The controls are comfortable and the screen is both maximum size and touchenabled. The console is welldesigned, compact about twice the size of my phone and light so very convenient to travel with although the analogue sticks stick out so I would be careful not to damage them as stick drift is a known problem. The only detractors are the sound isnt fantastic compared to the speakers Im used to but its definitely not bad quality and both the console and the games are incredibly expensive from the industry hiking up prices. Its worth it to try to buy secondhand for a decent discount Kind of subjective, but I got the sunshineyellow model and it feels very bright and cheerful. The colour choices are very fun, and sometimes you can get the less popular colours cheaper.

Great for playing SOME Switch games. Does fit into pocket. Perfect for 2D performer indies and games with large nondetailed graphics like Links Awakening.Text is way too small for comfort in some games. Sometimes cant even see what is going on onscreen like if you are playing Smash Bros and the level zooms out a bit you can barely see your own character. This is not a dedicated handheld console in terms of games. This is a handheld console that plays games that were meant for the TV. Dedicated handheld consoles like 3DS and Vita had their games make sure the game was comfortable to play. The UI was made bigger, text larger, gameplay was clearly visible. Not so much with this. Also the left thumbstick is too close to the screen and sometimes your finger touches the screen. No need to have this if you have a Switch already. I returned my Lite.

Got this as a birthday gift for myself. It was great for first two weeks. But then I started running into issues with charging it. I would run out of battery mid play and plug it in like I had been doing. And, nothing…it woudnt charge I looked online and was advised to leave it charging for atleast 4 hours. I did that and it worked. Back to playing and no issues. Then it wouldnt charge again. So frustrating because this isnt exactly cheap. Upon closer inspection of the charger, its not even Nintendo brand. The part of the charger thats supposed to have the logo is blank. Not sure why it didnt have a brand name charger. Also, the charger makes a weird sound like a high pitched ringing when its plugged in. Now I have to buy a new charger on the Nintendo website. I hope that works so I can play again. Overall, I am pretty disappointed with the product. For what you pay, there should have been a brand name charger. Not some off brand from China Its completely ruined the good points of the system for me. Such a shame

Im in love with my Nintendo Switch Lite for so many reasons the main one being how compact and light it is, which make it so easy to carry everywhere with you It doesnt feel as bulky as the regular one however that one is still pretty amazing Ive played on both and have found both to be a great games console but the Nintendo Switch Lite was better suited for someone like me as I can carry it everywhere with me and it feels so much more comfortable to hold and to tuck away in my bag. Theres always so many different games to scroll through and purchase and so many great games on offer too, which is nice to know and can save you some money. It runs super smoothly and the graphics are brilliant. Ive not had a single problem with the Switch Lite and I honestly dont think I will in the future. There was one thing I noticed that isnt important to me at all but that was the parent control selection it was so easy to understand and it was all just there without me even looking too deep into it. Ive recommended it to all my friends and family perfect to just sit back and chill with and to also travel around so you are never bored

I was a little hesitant at first because I wasnt sure if the Switch Lite was going to be less powerful or immersive as the Switch Console is, but that is not the case at all. The switch lite is beautifully designed with a very crisp and clear screen that is surprisingly big, the joysticks are smooth, and the overall gameplay is lagfree and flawless. The only complaint I have is the button arrangement but this can be changed in the control panel within the settings, but then again I am an Xbox player so the controls are a little off, but you remember the button placement after a few hours. So far, Im really impressed with this handheld console. On a fullcharge playing Animal Crossing, I can get about 6 12 hours of fulltime gameplay before it needs to be plugged in. I do wish the charging cable was longer as it is pretty short, but otherwise I have NO complaints about the console itself at all. Definitely something to invest in if youre an avid gamer like me, and being a singlemom this console gives me the flexibility to play my games whenever and wherever I want. If you travel a lot on planes for business or even pleasure, this is something to look into getting. The nintendo store on the console is also very cool. I like that I can go into the store and buy a new game anytime I want and have it digitally downloaded. Also, if youre planning on adding a lot of games, I highly recommend getting a 1TB MicroSD card as the console itself only comes with 32GB and with Skyrim Animal crossing downloaded, I only have 4GB of space leftover on the console itself. The console takes up some of that 32GB space with the hardware so really youre only getting about 24GB, which goes fast. The switch itself is very sturdy and designed to be durable. The screen feels like a thick glass but projects a beautifully clean, crisp, and clear image. I feel like even if you dropped this on the floor, it wouldnt get damaged at all it is very thick plastic they used and Im very impressed. For the price, you definitely get your moneys worth.

While many dont appreciate the switch lite I absolutely love it. Its the perfect size for commuting. Easy to carry in its case with charger and games in my backpack. Also it feels sturdier for portable usage because its one solid unit. Its more comfortable for long term handheld because its slightly smaller than the switch. We have a full size switch for hooking up to the tv and the lite is great for traveling. Plus when the kids fight over playing they each can have their own. I love that it uses the same cartridges unlike old Nintendo portable that requires a separate cartridge.Definitely recommend it.

Switch Lite is a great upgrade from the Nintendo 3ds. The screen is a little bit smaller than the regular Switch, but to me the controls feel better. You wont have the Joy Cons the regular Switch has but the system is less noticeable and its better for on the go gaming. And if you wanted you can hook up Joy Cons or wireless controller. It has the original NES Dpad and over feels better than the regular Switch. If you want to hook up to you TV or monitor buy a regular Switch, other than that this is the best handheld console to date.

Got this for my daughter who loves playing Minecraft, Splatoon and Fortnite with friends. This thing is awesome, so small but the screen looks amazing. I like the buttons better on this than the regular switch since theyre less clicky and it has a real dpad. The only drawback I can find is it doesnt do auto brightness like the original switch. Battery life is really good.

Originally I wanted to buy the limited edition ACNH switch but it was out of stock everywhere and I was nervous that this one my second choice was also going to be out of stock which is the primary reason I bought it BUT I absolutely love it I love the colour. For a gaming console it is so lightweight. I dont know if the nintendo switch with the joy con controllers is heavier but I think I would struggle to hold that if I was using it for handheld play if it is heavier though I do have a wrist issue which means lightweight is preferable. I am historically terrible at setting up new electronics but setting up this was so easy You can only play this switch lite in handheld mode but I used to have a Nintendo DS years ago so that is the way I am used to playing it and I really enjoy it so far. I also bought this as part of a switch lite bundle deal where you get the console, a game of your choice, an accessory of your choice, and the nintendo online year membership. I purchased a case in the same order but outside of this deal and it STILL came to less than the price of the switch I originally wanted, which I was really pleased with. Ive been using this almost everyday in lockdown to play Animal Crossing New Horizons and I am so happy with it. My only critique would be that I wish the battery life was a bit longer, but I guess its good that it forces me to take a break Id also like to add that delivery for this was completely faultless it said it was next day delivery but I was sceptical because of the demand on the post at the moment but it did arrive the next day, less than 48 hours after Id ordered it

If youre debating on buying this Switch, let me tell you that you absolutely should. After spending a couple hours tracking down a place to purchase a Switch, I was in luck to hear that Target had some. I bought it with the new AC game and a switch online membership. I played it as soon as I got home and love it At first, I was disappointed that I would not be able to connect it to my TV, but the screen is not as small as they make you think so it doesnt hurt your eyes to play games on it. It is a very clear and high quality screen. To give you a sense of how it looks, ACNH looks just as good on my Lite as it does on my boyfriends 4K TV. It sits comfortably in your hands so it doesnt cause cramping after long hours of game play. My boyfriend, who has a regular Switch, said he likes the Lite more because it is all one solid piece and that the size makes it more comfortable to hold. It is very well built absolutely no analog stick problem and overall amazing product

Got this bc Sony wont make the Vita 2, and so far the switch lite is exactly that. My biggest gripe is that its a bit ergonomicallychallenged because of the straight sides, but you can find several good grip cover options for cheap online.Battery life is on par with what is advertised, and even if youre playing Zelda on high brightness you can still get 4 hr in on one session. The screen is not great mainly because of the massive bezel, but for 200 it gets the job done and looks very sharp.I will say, even the OG PS Portable had more optionstoolssettings built in at launch in 2005 than the switch lite has in 2021. Going into the systems settings on the switch is like going back in time to the xboxps2 era.Still, the switch lite is an amazing little system with a great price point, an amazing back log of games, and most importantly its actually available for purchase unlike some consoles I know.

Ive been holding out for awhile on getting a Nintendo switch. The Nintendo switch lite caught my attention though. Its smaller than the original Nintendo switch, but big enough to play for extended periods of time. Its cheaper yet doesnt skimp on the qualities that make the Nintendo switch a great system. One word of advice though is that you should definitely get a Bluetooth controller to get the most enjoyable experience. I highly recommend the Nintendo switch lite. I truly believe you wont be dissatisfied.

This is not a console and a switch lite. This is just a Luigi car with some cardboard tracks that costs 99 at Target. The Switch lite is 199 99 does not equal the 459 I spent for this thinking it was a true money saving bundle of the console and switch lite. Buyer beware. I returned it. But what a nightmare it was on Christmas when my 5 year old thought he got the console from Santa and my daughter got her Switch lite, and we had to return hers in order to get my son the console. My son was so disappointed. These people are horrible human beings. Perhaps they should remove the word console and take the picture of the box with the console in it out of the description.

Although not as fullfeatured as its big brother, Switch Lite has the best experience for handheld play. The nondetachable JoyCons make for a much sturdier feel than the regular Switch. With regular Switches being sold out and marked up in COVID times, the price difference can be pretty significant. However, a big caveat. I dont miss the extra features because I already have a regular Switch. But some games simply require the separate JoyCons Labo, Super Mario Party, Ring Fit Adventure. You could buy a set of JoyCons to go with the Lite, but then you also need a way to keep them charged they normally charge when attached to the Switch, but if you dont have one then youll also want a charging dock, so it gets pricey really fast.

Pros Play all your favourite switch games. Sharp screen and sound is good. Well priced. Can buy seperate USB charge stand to let you use controllers highly recommended. Fits into your hands and is an amazing piece of hardware.Cons Analogue sticks are stuck there now so any issues and it affects the whole unit. Cannot connect to TV but this is why it is cheaper, I already have a full switch. The full switches overall are better. Can hurt hands after a while for example during mario kart fingers are scrunched up so can make longer sessions uncomfortable.

The switch is great and thankfully got here in time with all the craziness. However i also ordered a game Animal Crossings. I ordered both on the same day and purchased 14 of shipping to ensure it came on time. The switch came on time but her game came 4 days later. I dont understand why they werent shipped at the same time. Also this was the ONLY game we had purchased and planned on purchasing due to spending 300 on game, console, and case. I ended up returning the game once it finally arrived and thankfully was able to purchase and could afford to without making return via the Switch. Its been along time since I had purchased anything from beat buy and this experience didnt make me anxious to use them anytime soon again

I never liked the original Switch, still dont. Detachable controls, docking station etc. just never appealed to me. I saw this and had forgotten there was a lite version. So I picked it up for this good cheap price and Turquoise was the only color they had, but Im pretty secure with myself as a man so I got it…ha Pros and Cons Pros Great Battery Life Bright Screen Doesnt run hot Even with more demanding modern games Some good recent ports like Doom Eternal and Immortals Fenyx Rising The overall feel of it is solid Read my 400gb SD Card with no issues, and I play directly from the card. 90 digital games Good wireless, Eshop is very easy to navigate and downloads are quick. Most digital games are below 15 gb Cons Sound could be much much louder Controls feel flimsy, but still seem to take the punishment of heavy use, time will tell. Game selection is decent, mostly Indie Games, or Nintendo Exclusives. Ports such as Witcher 3, Bioshock Collection, Darksiders, Doom etc. Play great, but some of the graphical resolution is downgraded a LOT. Most ports are old, around the last 15 years or so. Not very many modern ones. Triggers can be overly sensitive, making it hard to aim on games where you need accuracy. So the Cons are just me nitpicking because this is a great handheld system, I like the Lite because if I want to play on my TV I just use the Series X, PS4 Pro etc. So theres no dock or fancy ports to plug in, its just a great handheld device that is surprisingly powerful for what it is. And I do like a lot of the old titles it has, especially the old Nintendo Exclusives. So if youre in the market for the best handheld gaming device on the market, then look no further, get this. Id skip the regular Switch, imo detaching the controls, and the docking station are just annoying, but thats just me. Ill take mine LITE. o

I bought the coral switch lite a few months ago and I love the colour. My second choice would have been the turquoise. Great battery life and charging time. I recommend getting a case if you plan to take it around with you. It feels smooth and light in your hands, although some people may find the buttons a bit loose and weird compared to the normal switch. Personally I prefer the lite in terms of overall comfort as its lighter and smaller. I definitely recommend this if you arent willing to pay the extra price for the normal switch, or if you want to use it more on the go rather than at home. While the price tag is a little hefty, there are often sales so keep your eye out. Great for kids who like Nintendo or have owned a wii. While I wouldnt choose it over a 3ds, I highly recommend this product.

This is the second switch that Ive bought, the first one was the original switch model, and I must say, that for 100 less, this one is much better. I love the feel of it, and its a little smaller than the original switch. Both of my boys love it as well. The only disadvantage this one has is that you cant play it on the tv, but my kids play both of them more as handhelds anyways. I would say that time will tell on the quality as Ive had issues with the controllers on the original switch, where the joysticks stopped working or werent working right. I ended up having to buy a new set of controllers, which arent cheap. If that happens with this one, theres no way to replace them, so fingers crossed. I would still recommend this for everyone

The Switch already has a solid library of games and is growing in that regard. Still, while the original iteration is 2 ways handheld TV console its fairly clear that its primarily intended as a handheld. Im sure some will swear they use it mainly as a home console and Im sure some do, but in regards to the majority most are on the go with the Switch, research it if you want. The point is its more of a handheld system with the ability to play on ones TV, and that makes a 300 price tag hard to justify. But here we now have a handheld only version at a 100 less and suddenly the wildly popular system has new life as more can easily justify a 200 price tag. Add in a starter kit trust me, youll want one and be glad you got one and a top rated game and tax and your still coming in at under the cost of the original Switch. The only negative is if youre among the handful who want to use it on their TV as well as on the go. Still, the price is right and the system has a look feel of an old school gaming era but with modern technology. I guess some may say that its good being the only real current handheld system on the market as its quite clear that the 2DS 3DS are being phased out, but still, Nintendo the past several years has been strongest with their handheld systems, so who cares if their the only option for a handheld Just get it and as long as your whole focus isnt on graphic quality which is better than most give it credit for than youll be perfectly happy with this.

I love the color of this. And so does my daughter. I was tired of sharing my island with her so we now have 3 switches. Theyre fun, we can play together or separately. We dont have the drift issues we have with our console since this is a single piece and the controllers dont come off.

I am saddened I will be returning the 3rd, yellow switch due to powering on issues. My mom bought my son the first one Christmas of 2019. It stopped charging in March. We did not return that one. Another one purchased Christmas if 2020. Stopped charging before 30 days. Issued an exchange which has only lasted 2 wks. Weve had no issues with the turquoise one bought for my other son. Not that color might be an issue. Just its the 3rd yellow switch that didnt last. Wont be exchanging for another this time. Just credit my account please.

Yellow Ive never had a handheld gaming system before so this was a new and exciting experience for me The graphics are amazing and I love the size and feel of the Nintendo SwitchLite in my hands. The console the perfect size for on the go gaming. I also loved the large screen, it makes gameplay so much better. Only things that I dont like is the fact that this console is one player only obviously, because there isnt a way for it to dock to the tv like the original Switch. However, if someone else around you has a Nintendo Switch then you can connect to them and play with them that way. Unfortunately the battery life isnt super impressive, yet it isnt terrible. You can get on average of 46 hours of gameplay from a charge, and it usually takes about 2 hours or so to fully charge. I also think there arent enough games for the Nintendo Switch, but thats more of a supply vs demand issue. Overall I give it 4.5 stars. Its an awesome game console in my opinion.

Pros Lightweight, very portable gaming handheld console. The graphics are very good and run fine on the Nvidia Custom Tegra processor, but dont expect ps4 or xbox level graphics. It is only a 1280 x 720p LCD Screen, but I think on the 5.5inch LCD Screen thats fine, and the images are sharp and clear. Yes a 1080p Screen would of been good, but it isnt a deal brwaker. And to be honest playing games like animal crossing etc you wont notice, even Legend of Zelda breath of the wild looks impressive on the screen.Cons A 1080p screen would of been nice, but is not a deal breaker. The 32 GB of internal storage could of been more, at least double that considering that around 6GB is required by the operating system. But this can be expanded by using micro SDHC or micro SDXC cards up to 2TB in size, but you have to buy them separately.

After playing this a few times, and with there being some great games, I really like the Switch Lite. Its a comfortablysized handheld with responsive buttons and joysticks. Its intuitive, unlike its predecessor the Wii U. I am not a hardcore gamer, but I have been playing Nintendo systems since the original NES when I was in grade school. I found the Wii U difficult to understand and use in the beginning. Not so with the Switch Lite.I was very uninterested in the Switch when it first came out. Since this console had zero backwardcompatibility, and it still cost the usual console price of 300, I preferred to stick with my New Nintendo 3DS, where I have an extensive game library. However, over the years, Ive seen some great games come to the Switch, and with the NEW and Super NES games that can be played on it, my interest grew. But not enough for 300.The 200 price point is much easier to swallow, and honestly, I love the size of this unit. Its just big enough, lightweight, and the screen looks great.I do have a few downers on this unit however Its not very comfortable to hold for long periods. I found a great protective case for it that adds a grip feature, and that helps, but of course, more investment. No backwards compatibility with DS3DS games yes, I know, hard to accomplish with a single screen. The games are expensive. VERY expensive.Overall, I am happy to have purchased the Switch Lite. I was much more comfortable with the lower pricepoint, and I can enjoy a lot of the games I was interested in.

I had initially got this for my daughter for her birthday but she ended up also getting a regular Nintendo switchso her siblings could play with her. From the package the color looks like it is beautiful. But I am very disappointed in Best Buy when I was a few days shy of returning this UNOPENED PACKAGE. I honestly had never heard of a 14 day return policy. My mistake I guess. But being a loyal customer and card holder who always paid her card on time, really hit different when the manager told me she would only give me a store credit but have to continue to pay off the credit card. The manager was very nonchalant and did not seem apologetic at all. I do not leave this review to say bad about the Nintendo Switch Lite. This review is for Best Buy for not being understanding in a time like this.

This switch lite has been great for my son for the past year and 4 months. Now, it is having issues. At first, it would not stay connected to the wifi, and now it will not recognize a network at all. I was on the phone for hours working with nintendo support, to no avail. It is almost unusable without wifi, as it cannot access his content online, nor receive any system updates. Now I have to send it in for a 100 repair. You would think a system built in 2019 wouldnt have a problem with wifi. Also, every switch we own has joycon issues. They dont seem to be built to last only to make nintendo a profit.

I ordered this earlier this year in yellow and have definitely been having fun with it. I havent experienced any issues, and the battery so far has held up and lasts a decent amount of time before getting low. I specifically ordered this one since I wanted it in yellow and compact to carry around, considering Im always on the go and out of the house. Id say its a great buy for someone who travels a lot or fun and easy to bring around for the kids. Personally I dont get to stay home through the pandemic so its nice to have, but still a great buy even for people staying in looking for something to pass the time. I could spend hours playing animal crossing easy if given the chance.

O.K. Its no 2DS or 2DS XL, but the Nintendo Switch Lite is nonetheless a nice portable console thats easy to grip for me at least and fun to use. So far, Ive purchased 4 games Cuphead, Super Mario Odyssey, Untitled Goose Game, and Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition. I enjoy the performance of the console because it hasnt exhibited any visual lags or other hiccups. Games are fast to load.I love playing video games using physical buttons and the Switch Lite doesnt disappoint its advantage over the regular Switch is the traditional Dpad which feels great to press, instead of the circular buttons on the Switch JoyCons. I wish Nintendo had included a few vibration motors in the Switch Lite because a little rumble would have made the tactility of the console feel a lot better, but its not a dealbreaker. The speakers perform well enough. They can get loud I usually have them at around 4050 volume. Its nice that there are two, one on each side. The screen maxes out at 720p resolution, but given its smaller footprint, the pixel density is high enough for a console of this price. I wish theyd included an ambient light sensor, but this is also not a dealbreaker.I bought the Geek Squad protection for ease of mind but I feel like I wont have a reason to make a claim unless I spill water on it

Though I call this a mini console, it really is mostly the same as the original Switch but without… the Switching feature to a TV that makes a Switch a Switch lol You still have access to the giant library of games that the original Switch can play with the exception of gameplay that absolutely requires Joycons. However, if you like to have extended gaming session in bed from time to time, this is the device for you. The form factor, size, and weight are perfect for long sessions. Whereas Ive owned the Mario Odyssey edition original Switch for a few years and gamed in bed with it quite a bit, the lite has become my default portable since it puts much less stress on my wrists and armsThe only downside Ive noticed from a technical standpoint is the precision of the dpad. You would think a historic company like Nintendo would be able to design flawless controls by now, but the dpad does not respond like I would like it to in a game like Tetris 99. I even returned the first Switch Lite I bought to Best Buy to make sure it wasnt a defect with that particular unit, but it seems it may have been a design flaw. I heard the original units at launch had issues with hitting diagonals and it seems theyve corrected that. But as a result, when playing against high level players in the end game of a Tetris 99 match, Im more prone to making erroneous hard drops or left and right movements during a hard drop given how fast and accurate I have to play to win. This seems to only be with Tetris and I imagine the precision of the dpad in platforming games may be enough but I havent tested it much.

The device itself is great my daughter loves it and it is a great addition to the Nintendo experience in our house. What is not great is the way that Nintendo treats multiple devices and digital content. There is no way to manage multiple profiles and a singular piece of software, which I get to a certain degree, but it is frustrating when the physical copy allows this functionality. So now I need to buy two copies of anything I bought digitally for the first console. Going to be buying cartridges from here on out I guess.

The switch lite is an upgrade from my New 3DS XL which I still love. So far I like everything about the Switch Lite except for the size and clarity of text Sometimes it is unreadable even with glasses and the magnify function. This is a problem Ive never had with any other hand held console or cell phone. Some games Ive downloaded are not even playable due to this annoying problem. Its added a whole new screening strategy to my game selection for this system. Other than this flaw, I love it. Graphics are crisp and clear, sound is great and Beats headphones make it amazing. I like that Hulu and YouTube are available with flawless playback. Some other platforms like Netflix, Vudu and YouTube TV would be amazing additions. The eStore has an incredible number of titles to offer and the sales are a substantial savings. I havent tried the online feature and probably wont, Im just not into online gaming anymore. Im very happy with the purchase, just wish text was easier to read, that knocked a point off. Nintendo needs to realize that not everybody that use their systems is 15, adults use them as well. I never had a text issue with my New 3DS XL or even my Gameboys

I was a first adopter of the launch Switch and I love that system and the games. When the Switch Lite was announced I was hesitant, but after seeing all the review videos and unboxings, and knowing my long lasting love for Nintendo handhelds, I knew I was going to pick one up. I mostly used my original Switch in handheld anyways, so now it sits docked and this is my primary system and I have no regretsThis little system is really neat Its VERY light but feels sturdy. The buttons are quieter than the original Switch, so it makes playing in bed next to a sleeping wife better, and the screen is beautiful. My hands are quite large and they can feel a little cramped, but there are grips that I know would help with that, but I havent tried any because it would take away from the gorgeous form factor of this system. Its so slim and compact, its really pretty amazing the power that it has inside, considering it can play games like Witcher III.If youre on the fence, I say go for it. Its a fantastic little handheld that can play some of the best games on the market today. If you only use your original Switch in handheld mode, I recommend trading it in and going with the Switch Lite. You wont miss much about the original system

I love this new system. Im having a lot of fun with it My two biggest issues is that the games to play on the switch are expensive, so youre going to end up spending more than 200 and it feels like the battery doesnt last very its probably a me thing. Also, your going to want to purchase the 1 year of Nintendo online because it the best value for your money. The biggest difference I noticed between my 2DS and the switch is I sank more money into the switch than my DS because with my DS 1 its cheaper 2 I already had games for my DS, so I didnt have to spend so much on games 3 the games for the DS are cheaper. Piece of advice, compare games prices to see where its cheapest and then you can save some money.

I transferred from the original switch to this version. The lite feels a lot better in hand then the original. I rarely used the original in dock mode so that is why I transferred to this and its been a dream ever since. The battery life is miles better as well. Graphics were a tad better on the original but theyre genuinely good on the lite. Plus the design with both Zacian and Zamazenta on the back and the pinkred and blue controls makes the console stand out. It looks amazing I would highly recommend this limited edition lite over the others as in a couple of years Im sure this device will be rare to find so it will be worth a little bit more then the others.

I have wanted a switch for so long but decided on the line for a few reasons. The first one I dont think I would ever have taken the joy cons off of the device as well as it was 100 cheaper. Now I will say the difference between the lite and the other one is that the other one you can hook it to your tv or some kind of monitor so the picture is bigger where with the lie you cant do that so that part sucks. But Im over joyed with my lite I have no complaints other than be aware that if you only own the e store games with me not physical copies of games that when your not around internet you wont be able to play but if you have hard physical copies of the games then you can play them when not around Internet. Good battery life I can play non stop and my battery will last about 2 hrs but I have not actually watched the time so not sure. And all the cute accessories you can buy for them and cases.

I own the yellow color but did not see the option to review it. I guess it doesnt make a difference for most people, but for me it does. I am very picky when it comes to what i want. I love this color its an instant mood booster. I am 33 years old and i enjoy playing my switch so much. Its a great occupier when i am trying not to just read and be on social media. Its become one of my staple hobbies. Very comfortable to hold, great specs. I do not regret spending 200 on this. I thought it would sit around and i would end up returning it, but i have become seriously attached to this thing Also, i picked the lite because i dont have any need to connect it to my tv. I like to have it for when i am on the go and just lounging on my couch. Another thing i noticed is how much it makes me have to activate my brain with trying to figure out the different games and with getting older i love anything that makes my brain have to work. One thing i dont love is that its hard to play in the sun, but i will try to find a screen protector that makes it less reflective. Not a reason not to purchase.

Ok, so I treated myself to this as an early birthday present, along with the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Ive done a review for that too and was not disappointed.I went for the Yellow Switch Lite Console, one because it was a bright and cheery colour, and two because yes it kinda reminded me of Pikachu in that colour.Onto the Console itself, its such a great product Well worth buying if you arent fussed about it connecting to the TV which this one doesnt and not having the HD rumble effect among a few other things that causes the difference between itself and the normal Switch, which is why I bought it as I didnt really want the normal Switch and much prefer handheld gameplay anyway. Plus I once played on a normal Switch and I found the Joy Cons a little bit fiddly to hold in each hand when it was in TV Mode.As I said, this is a purely handheld device, with an easy to follow, step by step guide to setting the Switch up although I also had a look at My Mate Vinces Switch Lite set up guide on YouTube, which I found really useful too as it goes through everything and within 15 minutes had started playing on the Legend of Zelda. The graphics are brilliant, its light to hold and the colour is really nice. The battery life is pretty good too and I like how youve got a really big screen on the console so you can marvel at the scenery of Zelda as if you were really there1010 A fab product which I know I will get many hours of enjoyment out ofThanks John Lewis

I have basically not stopped playing this thing since I got it. I am very happy that I bought the smaller switch lite and not the regular one, since I mostly wanted to play handheld and the 100 I saved from not buying the fullsize went towards games. It is very comfortable to hold, and does pair with third party wireless controllers. I have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the screen is pretty small, so the split screen made it difficult to play with two people, but our solution was to prop it up on a table and bring it close while we sat pretty close together. That experience was enjoyable and ran smoothly even if it wasnt the same as docking a big switch. Single player Mario Kart runs very smoothly and looks vibrant. I usually play at 150cc for reference.Just handheld is great, because the screen is definitely big enough for one person to view comfortably, and the buttons all have a good response and are positioned comfortably. Breath of the Wild likely my most visually intensive game looks and plays great on this, except for one or two places in game where there is minor, momentary lag the grass texture in front of Rito Village always causes lag for some reason lol but overall, for such a visualheavy game, it runs very well on the Switch Lite. The coral color goes beautifully with the white buttons. I would say it is a true coralpink, and bright. It is not a light pink or pastel, if you were hoping the product pictures were darker. The product picture is pretty accurate in shade, but in real life the color is slightly brighter or more saturated. Again, slightly.

I am a casual gamer at best so I did not want to drop the money for a console or gaming PC, but I wanted something I could dabble with when the fancy took me. Enter the Switch Lite. I picked this up about an hour before hopping on a crosscountry flight, and it was a gamechanger. For the first time, I was disappointed for the flight to end.The graphics, snappy responsiveness, and a healthy dose of Breath Of The Wild, had me hook, line and sinker.I really dont have a single negative thing to say. If you want to play breathtaking games but dont want to break the bank, try the Switch Lite. You wont be disappointed.

Absolutely great device. Have been using it everyday since Ive made my purchase. A lot of great games to play using the platform. The only downside in my opinion is that the battery life is not very long, and I wish it could last longer. Other than that, it is a super intuitive device to use, and has a lot of great features. Love being able to plug in my headphones and game that way Also, the colors are super vibrant, which is really nice.

Ok so i already had the original switch and play it primarily docked since it feels clunky and uncomfortable handheld and also the screen is not the brightest on the original 2017 switch.I bought the Lite to play handheld and also because this royal bluepurplish color caught my attention. I had never held a Switch Lite prior. Upon holding this for the first time, i fell in love. Its much lighter and feels so good in the hand. I popped in my copy of the latest Paper Mario, and my love intensified for this system. The screen is an upgrade from the original switch. The screen is brighter and colors pop. Paper mario looks perfect on the screen. I have played my Lite more than i would have imagined already. I think this week alone, i played over 20 hours which is more than normal for me on my regular switch even docked. In all if you want a handheld experience, buy the Lite. I do not regret it at all. I think Nintendo nailed the Lite version. Also, i bought several grip cases for the Lite and they all seem to hurt my hands more than just using the Lite naked. I just got the official flip case from nintendo a couple of weeks ago and that case is perfect but pricey and makes the system even more comfortable to hold.

I bought this back in the summer when it was impossible to get, but best buy had this switch with animal crossing as a bundle. I havent owned a console since the original wii, so I decided to get it. I never play on the TV, so I chose the lite. This is such a fantastic little device I love being able to play with my friends, and its light and nice to hold. I play so many different games on it, hours and hours of fun. If you are on the fence, buy it this has been hands down, one of the best things I ever bought. I love my switch

Ive owned the original switch since it launched, and Ive played it in handheld portable mode about 95 of the time Ive owned it. So the fact that the switch lite does not dock on a tv is not a dealBreaker for me. I think Nintendo could have added the ability, but I suppose they dont want to cannibalize the bigger dock able switch.Anyway, the switch lite in my opinion is the perfect size for handheld gaming. I have fairly large hands and it is comfortable to hold and play for extended periods. I added this slim clear case that adds small humps on the back sides for your fingers palms to rest on and I love gaming with it. It actually feels more sturdy in your hands then the larger switch. Probably because the switch lite is on solid piece, theres no flex on the sides. The buttons are all very responsive and the d pad is what should be on all switch models The screen on the switch lite is nice and vibrant and has very good viewing angles. I just wish it had some sort of rumble but still not a dealBreaker. Battery life is excellent. I think I average about 4 pushing close to 5 hours of gaming time before I need to recharge it fully. At 199 you really cant get any other hand held gaming device better than this. Theres a vast selection of switch games, with hundreds more on the way Im sure. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a switch but doesnt want to spend 300 for it. You can easily overlook the fact that it doesnt dock to the tv. This takes you back to the good ole days of gaming on the couch or your bed with handhelds Nintendo should have called this the Gameboy

Pros Overall a truly portable version of the Nintendo Switch. Its smaller lighter which makes it ideal for travelling. If you are someone who just requires a hand held then this is the Nintendo Switch for you. I will add I have the original Nintendo Switch and bought this as I never use the motion controls never usually play it docked, the original console was quite bulky to travel with. This solves all that and still plays all Nintendo Switch games that dont require motion controls. This is a unique coloured switch echoes the colours of the original Gameboy with a twist.Cons The main point to be aware of is that this Nintendo Switch is a hand held console only. It is not like the original version that can be plugged into the dock connected to a TV. It also does not have removable motion controls.

A couple of things to note I have had a Nintendo switch since it came out and never played it on a television, if you dont care about playing it on a television then the switch lite might be your option. As any game system there are pros and cons to them in this case you cant replace the joy cons when they wear out over time and start to stick because these are non removable. Secondly the screen size is smaller on the lite in my case it dont bother me. The device is thinner and lighter with better battery life. Its 100 cheaper at 199 US dollars. I dont see them blowing off shelves like the original Switch but I recommend you getting one in your hand to try out and make sure its the right choice for you. In late 2020 there will be new game systems coming out but Nintendo always stands alone in its software library. They probably should of called it the portable lite instead though since you cant switch from TV to portable on this one.Hope this review helped

Its truly unreal how far the switch has came, i had a vita and absolutely wanted it to become more than it did. The switch lite has revitalized my enthusiasm for a strictly handheld device. At first i thought the graphics would be downgraded or games would run differently from the oroginal switch i had. This is not the case at all. Everything is what it should be, it is exactly what you need if you only wanna play switch in handheld mode. Do not hesitate. You will not be disappointed. Its the same console, just smaller. Complaints. Without a grip case and big hands, it is not an enjoyable experience, very awkward during long grinds. But After i bought the satisfye grip, this baby is my goto for indies and the larger titles run just as well. Get yourself a grip

I ended up with a product that stopped working 2 months into using it. I barely get to play with this because of the product being broken somehow already. Its been sitting in a box. It will work for a few days real fine and then Ill lose everything. I have to lose all my progress in my games and I find that irritating . I had at least 4 games bought already and played them for those two months and I already received an orange screen. How can they sell something like this to people and I didnt get a warranty because the switch itself is already expensive as is.

Got my Nintendo Switch Lite just over a week ago.The yellow colour is fantastic and the quality of the device feels good in the hands. Definitely more comfortable than the Original Switch in handheld modeApart from that, its the same old Switch device we all know and love, but it doesnt dock into TV mode. Unfortunately this means it seems to have the same issues as the original Switch and perhaps some new ones too. The plastic screen is a scratch magnet. Less than a week of light use and one trip in a case in a bag and it has two scratches on the screen. You WILL need a screen protector and you should get a glass one. These are pretty cheap but its a shame Nintendo cheaped out on the screen quality on a completely portable device this isnt a clamshell like the DS3DS. Additionally, after a week of use, Im having joystick is it still called a JoyCon drift in my left stick. The device hasnt been dropped or treated badly. Its a week old. Its been used only for Animal Crossing. And this isnt an isolated case frankly its beyond belief that a week old Nintendo portable is having any issues whatsoever. Nintendos portables used to be legendary for their durability but it seems this is no longer the case. I had a similar issue with my JoyCon on my main Switch console in less than a year after purchase and the Nintendo Repairs rep was rude and wouldnt help. They tried to charge my brother for the same issue until he argued this.Fingers crossed they will actually help me this timeMy recommendation Dont buy this console until Nintendo start helping customers affected by these issues and admitservice the fault as they are doing at Nintendo of America. Its confusing and bad service that were not recieving the same treatment. You will be better off with the main Switch console as you will at least be able to replace a faulty JoyCon.

After giving a bit of time with the new Switch Lite, I gotta say I am pretty impressed with it.The handheld is comfortable to hold, even with someone who has big hands such as myself. I am finding that my fingers just naturally want to sit on the shoulder buttons as I am holding the handheld console, as well as the face buttons and left thumbstick I havent played a game yet that requires the use of the right thumbstick as I am playing games. The console is extremely light too. It almost feels like you are holding an empty plastic shell case with a screen with how light the console feels. Finally, the Turquoise color is nice color as it is not too bright, but more of a flat color. The Switch Lite comes with a charging adapter too.The only downside I can find with the Switch Lite so far is the sound from the internal speakers doesnt seem to be very loud, even with the volume turned all the way up. I am playing Legend of Zelda Links Awakening with the Switch Lite as my first game and I am having a hard time hearing the sound effects and the music in the game. Headphones would probably improve the quality of the volume, but I prefer using the internal speakers with portable video game electronics. Also, you cannot hook the Switch Lite up to a TV. This is strictly a portable device. So just a heads up on that.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. It is a nice portable console that gives you the original Switch experience, but on the go and at a 100 dollar discount.

Oh my goodness. I love the coral color so much. It is the cutest color ever. The battery life is A M A Z I N G. I can play for 6 hours straight before the low battery pops up. Let me tell you about how fast that thing will charge. I would say that it takes about 30 minutes to charge if you are playing your game. If you decide you want to keep trying to break the world record for longest hours consistently played on a Nintendo switch, it will still charge lighting fast in about 45 minutes. Cant go wrong if you decide to buy yourself one or get your kids some.

My brother has a regular Switch and I have always wanted to get one, but I didnt want to spend so much money on a system for my TV when I already have a PS4. When I heard Animal Crossing New Horizons was coming, I started researching the Switch to find one I would like. When I stumbled upon the Lite, I wasnt sure if I would like it, but I actually prefer it over the regular Switch. I like that I dont have to worry about the controllers or having an extra port I have to keep to charge it and the controllers. And the nostalgia I get from having the Lite is insane. Its like playing an oversized Gameboy Advanced and I love it. I also found that most games are easier to play on the Lite because you dont have two separate controllers with drift or any of the unnecessary hard motor skills movements you have to do with them, and personally I like playing games solo. The Lite was definitely the best choice for me. I only have Skyrim and Animal Crossing and Ive put over 200 hours into them combined. I would recommend the Lite to anyone who wants to save some money and doesnt mind only playing handheld. Thats really the only difference.

Received the item and it was not working and clearly used. It had sugary finger smudges on the front and back like some one was eating a Cinnabon while playing it. The unit will not turn on at all. The item was not listed as used or refurbished. The charger that came with does not work either. I plugged it in to my other Switch and no response. I plugged this Switch in to my good charger and let it sit for 30 minutes before trying to turn it on. Still no response. Very disappointing and will not be ordering from here again.

Overall a great console if youre looking for HANDHELD ONLY. Dont get this console if you want to hook up to the TV but if you are a handheld gamer or if you are wanting to purchase this for a child whose new to gaming this is a great option. It is very lightweight at 0.61 lbs and being about 0.7 inches smaller in screen this makes it much better for handheld. Overall pretty good build quality you wont be breaking it that easy and even if you mess up the screen it wont shatter. The buttons are also well designed and it will be a while before you wear them out. The console also has a great battery life as well as a good WiFi adapter built in. The only thing I wish it had was Bluetooth which is crazy that it doesnt although the WiFi card built in already comes with Bluetooth But thats my only gripe overall a good handheld console for the price with great features a great array of games especially if you have Nintendo Online. Great features for children as well with a lot of parental controls on purchases as well as games that can be played. If youre looking for a console for you kids to play or just a handheld gamer in general this is a great buy. Also mentioning about the Bluetooth earlier it still has a headphone jack at least 3.5mm

To be completely honest this was an impulse purchase. I went in store to kill some time while I was waiting for a friend and I came across the switch and the switch lite. I spent close to an hour and a half just playing Mario Kart 8 on the switch lite and knew I had to bring one home. I wish I got it in gray, but Its amazing. I forget every now and then that its actually touchscreen and the graphics are flawless. I love it. I take it everywhere with me and Im 27. Extremely fun. My favorite feature is the Nintendo eshop.

The Switch Lite is a perfect accompaniment to the original Nintendo Switch, if you already own the bigger one and just a smaller unit. Due to the fact the screen is smaller I have noticed it may be a bit more vibrant in colour and brightness than the original, but only a little difference. All the original software runs on this unit fine, and there is no TV mode, with the system being focused on handheld only. The blue is a very nice addition to the other colours also. Additional storage is available for large game downloads, and the battery life is very good too with a least 45 hours gameplay depending on the game being played.

I LOVE my Nintendo Switch Lite. I was on the fence about buying it, since the original Switch I was planning to buy was out of stock during lockdown. I took the plunge and dont regret it for a second I was always a handheld console gamer growing up I had all the Gameboy versions and an original DS, and havent played any console games since I was a child. I bought this to beat the lockdown boredom and its been fabulous. Its the perfect size for a handheld game, its comfortable and easy to use once you get used to the controls. I like the touchscreen function, and the sound and graphics quality are great. The downside is not being able to play certain multiplayer games, but this has barely come up. Overall I would recommend to anyone planning to play the Switch mostly as a handheld device.

You may be on the fence about what version of the Nintendo Switch to pick up. If you play mostly on the TV, the regular model Nintendo Switch may be your best choice. But if you typically play most of the time in handheld only mode, the Nintendo Switch Lite may be just the right fit for you.Let me be honest and tell you that I have both models, the regular model as well as the lite model at the current time and actually prefer to use the lite more. Not only is it more comfortable to use in handheld mode given that it is one piece, but the overall build quality is much better as well. Of course the regular model of the Switch is more versatile in the way you can change the joycons to suit your mood at the time or add a traditional DPad for old school gaming. The lite on the other hand already has its controller permanently attached to the unit which makes it feel more stable and secure when playing in handheld mode, but is also has a traditional DPad built in which is different from the the four quadrant design of the regular model Switch joycon design.I really like the turquoise color of this system and it reminds me of earlier handheld consoles like the Gameboy Color and SP models that I used to play in my younger days.Just think about how you typically play games like this and whether the TV functionality of the regular model is something you would use on a regular basis, or do you play your games handheld all the time. Of course, it wouldnt hurt to have both models either.

This is mostly my fault, I should have read the specs before purchase. I just have a very hard time understanding why a gaming unit wouldnt have an HDMI out.I know this is a portable unit, but I enjoy traditional gaming sometimes. Well… most of the time. I figured I would just pick this up one afternoon, connect it to my TV, and play it like a console. Because everything has an HDMI out these days right Nope.Apparently its not on the Lite version because Yeah… because. I know there is a difference in graphic processors, its pretty minimal just to add an out but I am aware of spec limitations. Thing is, I could honestly rock with a 1080p signal. I didnt need anything fancy. My LG G2x a phone from 2011 had a 1080p HDMI out. 720 was all the rage back then too, so I have a hard time believing this really would have been difficult to accomplish.Anyways, I guess its okay product. Returned the same day, didnt even use it. Honestly was pretty bummed about the lack of graphic options.

So my son wanted a Nintendo switch so he could play with his friends. He saved his money and w were able to order it online and he was able to go and pick it up at the store that day. The coral color is very nice and vibrant. In some light it looks pink and in other lights it looks more of a peach color. The weight of the switch light is nice and it is very portable and easy to carry around. It is more affordable than a regular switch, BUT I will say the battery life has a lot to be desired. You can probably get about 2 hours of game time on this console before having to charge it. Other than the battery this is an amazing and fantastic item

I already own an OG Switch, but with Nintendos decision to only allow one island per console for the upcoming Animal Crossing title, they were able to squeeze out a little extra money from me.I was on the fence about the Lite, but ultimately decided the turquoise version was the way to go. Transferring my save data and downloaded games were an easy enough process. Plus Im still able to play on my original Switch, so theres no issues with swapping gameplay between the two.Battery life certainly seems better, but I tend to keep my system plugged in at all times, so its a bit of a moot point with me. Graphically I think games look better on the Lite than in handheld mode on the fullsize Switch, which is definitely a plus. The only potential downside is if it ever gets joycon drift, since Id have to send in the whole system. Fingers crossed it doesnt happen, lol.All in all, Id say the Lite is definitely worth picking up…but Id treat it more as a secondary system I still rate the big brother Switch as the best one to buy.

The Nintendo switch lite is amazing me and my daughter both play it. I bought my son the regular Nintendo switch console with two joy con motion sensor in them and the wristlets for when they play with the remotes of so they dont go flying somewhere and get messed up or break something which I love the fact it came with it I love the fact that the switch lite is kinda motion sensored as well. For instance, when we play splatoon 2 on it, you just move the device around to aim like the paint ball gun is literally in your hands and it makes it easier and more fun for younger age groups who are just learning how to press multiple buttons at the same time back to back. Its great for getting younger kids to practice their motor skills and multitasking without even knowing it I also LOVE The Ring Master game because once you strap on the job con co trailers holders to your body, it turns excoriating into a fun game and monitors their strength, how fast the can run, and how hard they can use their muscles to squeeze and pull in different directions and uses that info to base where to start them at and base their heart rate and calories burned based on their beginning abilities and strengths and builds you up from their. If you type in the age 5 into the information and out in their weight and other info, it takes that into account on what you do and how hard you have to run, squeezepull the ring etc and makes it fit for each person and each profile you make for each person specialized just for them and during this pandemic, most of us have packed on atleast a few lbs or getten used to just setting around mostly and this gets the kids up and excoriating making them healthier while they think theyre just fighting off wierd creatures and playing a handson game LOVE THEM BOTH Also, Jason Friday the 13th game is totally worth every penny. I wouldve paid more for it even after playing and experiencing just how much you can do and the quality of the game and each character and the detail in each of the nine or ten different places you can pick to start playing at as Jason or as a counselor Id recommend it to anyone mature enough for a game that shoes blood and violence

The Nintendo Switch Lite is great. I rank that 5 stars. However, Best Buy needs to put them on the shelf in the locked case where they belong. There were many customers looking for them thinking they sold out even though online it said they were instock and no person in the electronics section working. I had to go to the front of the store and ask. Found out they keep them behind the checkout counter for some reason. There was no signage anywhere saying that. Not good on Best Buy. Put your products where they belong on your shelf so customers can find them.

I have owned a Switch since the day of its release. Im a big fan of the console and the list of available games to play is a mile long. I initially didnt have any interest in the Switch Light since I had the normal Switch. The original pastel colors of the Switch Light also kind of kept me away. This new blue color made me change my mind. My current Switch rarely leaves the dock, so I figured I can get the Switch Light for traveling and on the go.The blue color is definitely blue but it has a purpleish hue in a lower light setting. Purple is my favorite color. The biggest advantage the Switch Light has over the Switch is the Dpad. Playing older games is much more enjoyable with an actual Dpad. The original Switch uses individual buttons as the Dpad. Build quality also seems to be more solid than the original Switch since the Light is a one piece solid unit. It would be a much better option for small humans. If you already have a Switch and are looking for a second one to play on the go I highly recommend it. If you want to be able to play games up on your big screen then you will have to shell out a little more dough for the original Switch. The Switch Light has no way of sending video out. You cant go wrong with either choice, but if you decide to get a Switch Light I would definitely go with the blurple one.

I purchased this because I wanted to play some Nintendo Switch exclusive games Im a PC gamer but didnt want to break the bank buying a Switch. I dont have a TV, so I dont have use for the Docked functionality. I love the form factor, the size, the weight, and look of the Switch Lite gray. Unfortunately, my device developed a problem with the analog sticks not registering movement correctly. When pushing the left stick all the way to the right, I would stop. I tried recalibrating the stick, and factory resetting the sticks in the settings, and it didnt work. Turns out that it is a common problem…I returned it and got a replacement, but this time, the R trigger makes a squeaky and double clicks when its pushed toward the center of the console. I looked online again, and lo and behold, its a common issue. I decided to look past this and press the button at a different area, but overall, the console has been great.

I average it out at 4 stars. The actual unit was perfectly fine and immaculate out of the box. It functions exactly how its supposed to and has zero issues. Hence the 5 star portion. The 3 star is based on the concept. Look, everyones got their opinion. Mine is that the original model Switch is just all around smarter. First you get a bigger screen, not hugely bigger, but still, its an improvement. Second is the well known ability to switch between handheld mode and using on the big TV that most gamers and families have. Third is that even as a wholly handheld system Nintendo has shown that the joycons are substandard quality, so if you ever need to replace them you can with the original model, you cant with the Lite for obvious reasons. Fourth and lastly is that the original model has a lot more options for, well, everything that it does and offers, like adding extra joycons and while maybe only a few games arent compatible with the Lite version due solely to the controls odds are many will miss Mario Party and thats on the list of games thats controls are incompatible with the Lite. Just get the original, youll be far happier.

All in all, you really just need a Switch or a Switch Lite, you dont need both. If you dont own a TV and dont plan on playing any games on a TV ever, the Lite is for you. But why limit yourself I would personally rather get a used 200 Switch which you cant really do now due to Covid but preCovid you could find them for 175200 versus a Switch Lite.Being able to Switch between playing on your TV or going portable is what the Switch is all aboutNeedless to say, ignoring the limitations the Lite has for a 100 reduction, the fact is you can still play Switch games for 100 less. It works great. I havent had much drifting issues with the JoyCons and you can always send your console back if you do come across any drifting issues. The color is very nice and clean. Its a great consoleBut I would definitely pay 50 more for a Switch Lite Pro that did enable you to dock it to play on your TV, but maybe no rumble.

Was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 8 year old daughter along with the Animal Crossing game. Honestly I was hopeful that the price for the lite would come down for Christmas this year but we all know Nintendo doesnt budge and honestly I now see why. I remember when I got a game boy for Christmas and how excited I was and now as a father knowing my girls enjoy gaming and seeing her so excited made a great ending to a pretty messed up year. Of course Nintendo doesnt disappoint. The thing is pretty amazing and I recently dropped the 20 for a year of online. Wow, there are so many awesome old school games you can play and quite a few new ones that also come with online. Considering I pay almost as much every month for Xbox game pass I think its a pretty good deal. So overall a great product and Best Buy easily has the best curbside pickup I think I waited 2 minutes for my order to come out. 5 stars all around

Works perfectly, came in original box like new. The color is pristine and the controls are easy enough to figure out. I rather enjoy having just the one screen as opposed to the 3DSs two screens. Back to the basics, in a way. I sometimes get carpal tunnellike symptoms with my other hobbies, but follow the rules of the switch, taking a 20 minute break every hour of gameplay, and my wrists have nothing to complain about. Same goes for headaches, which though common on day one, lessen when you follow the directions the console comes with. Overall, I love it.

Im not much of a gamer, let me get that out of the way. The last console I owned was a PS3 and I most game on my computer. However, since its release, the Switch has been an intriguing product for me. I have had numerous handhelds from Nintendo in the past and loved every single one, from GameBoy Color, up to the 2DS XL. So when I saw the Switch boasting console level titles at launch and then watched as many more flooded into the system, I grew more and more interested, but Im not one to sit in front of a TV and play, so really the Switch wouldve been just a portable device. I was hoping one day Nintendo would make a Switch that was just handheld. I thought Id have to wait a long time, maybe forever, but then they announced this, and at 100 cheaper. Needless to say I went out and bought this first thing in the morning, and it is everything I wanted and so much more. I ended up getting Super Mario, Pokmon, a Bunch of SNES games, and the original 3 Spyro games which I had forgotten had been remastered. All this, spending the same I wouldve for the standard switch. This is a great deal.TLDR This is the ideal product for people who want to experience high end, and old school titles in a portable fashion. It has some compromises but they are entirely forgotten once the device is in your hands.

Super glad to finally catch a Switch in stock. Though I originally wanted the full Switch console. I ended up giving that upbecause of stock issues and going for the lite version. I dont regret that decision at all. It is a beautiful console Everything works nicely, the buttons and joysticks feel and work great. My one complaint and its a pretty big one, is that the battery life is absolute garbage. I knew it was gonna be bad when I bought it. So Im willing to deal with it. But it rubs me the wrong way that this console is marketed for strictly handheld gaming and portability. Not very portable when it has to be plugged into the wall every 45 hours. If it werent for the battery, Id give it 5 stars easily. Other than that, Im super happy with my Switch lite and the fact that I can finally play Animal Crossing NH

My son purchased this for himself and he had an assignment where he had to write a review on something he purchased online. He wanted to share his thoughts with anyone who was thinking about purchasing a Switch LiteThe Nintendo Switch Lite is fun and exciting while at the same time the games can be hard. It comes in many colors and is rectangular. There are a lot of games to play. The Nintendo Switch Lite is a good console because it has a lot of different types of games. For example, I enjoy games like Super Soccer, Super Punch Out, and Fortnite. Its also a good console for adults and kids. Both my dad and I have a Nintendo Switch and we can play together. The Nintendo Switch Lite is portable. That means I can play it at home or if I go on vacation, I can bring it with me.It is difficult to play multiplayer games on the Nintendo Switch Lite. However you can play online with your friends and family who also have a Nintendo Switch. You could also buy more controllers to play with anyone else.If you enjoy playing video games like Super Punch Out, you should buy the Nintendo Switch Lite.

Be advised that not all games will be offered on Switch such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc. but there are still good games such as Fortnite, Rocket league, Coming soon Apex, Witcher 3, and Skyrim. Of course you also have your Nintendo exclusives like Pokemon and Mario games. As a twentysomething this is great to take on the go or practice rocket league tricks on the couch.Reviewing the hardware, the console is very thin but this can cause some hand cramping. You will NOT be able to display this on a TV but that is the point of this console. The RB and LB buttons are very sensitive and easy to press which can get annoying when using it as a Hulu streaming device, but it is not a problem in games. The battery life is decent with 35 hours of gaming time depending on internet usage and processing power needed for game.Nintendo did a good job bringing back dedicated handhelds, but I do wish Switch would consider allowing Xbox Gamepass and XCloud. This was an offer put out a while back which would let the Switch stream intensive games that are not offered on Switch, and it would also let you bring games from either console. But that is a topic for another forum Definitely worth the price, and would be a great B Friday, C Monday item to purchase for the holiday season. Especially since it looks like Covid is spiking again and we may be heading towards more lockdownsThis review was written in 102020 so it may be outdated by the time you read this. Enjoy your new console

Really pleased with this product. Not only is it a very aesthetic product with a nice design but it is also of great build quality. Coming from somebody who also owns a Nintendo switch, the switch lite is a big upgrade in terms of handheld mode. When using the regular switch in handheld mode it almost has a fragile feel almost as if it is balancing between the joycons, however this is not at all the case with the switch lite, it is firm and lite making it much more ergonomic in handheld mode, and as a result of this I would and already have recommend it to anybody that believes they would use their switch in handheld mode for prolonged amounts of time. The only issue I have with the switch lite be it very limited is the graphics, though this could be attributed to the console size or perhaps the reduced internal hardware from the original switch which is of course what grants grants switch lite its greater portability and affordability. Overall very pleased and would recommend.

This is a nice change from the standard switch but of course you cant use other joycons or even hook it up to the tv. Its good for trips and keep little ones occupied … its way lighter and better battery than my switch generation 1 and easy and fast to charge. I actually have the yellow one. Its about 100 less than the actual switch but the pro about this no drifting of the joycons. They are attached and dont drift like the joycons have in the first edition. Its more durable . My son dropped ours down the steps and they are hardwood floors. It survived

I brought this game for my granddaughter and she loves it, great for traveling, easy assembling and still the same quality from when my children were younger. I searched everywhere and no one had it in stock, in store or online, but by a miracle, Walmart had it online with the option to ship it to the store of my choice, I thought I was just purchasing the game but it came with every accessory it would need. Its perfect and shes loves it, color and all. By the way I got it in less than 4 days. It was safe and easy, no hassles at all. Just make sure you buy directly from Walmart.com and not from an outside vendor. I would recommend this game for the big kid or little kid..

This is the 2nd switch on our house it was a present for my son. I was concerned how the digital games that I bought on my main one would transfer over, because I wasnt trying to buy duplicates for him to play on this system. As a side note this is the huge advantage of physical vs digital games. Its much easier to share games. It turns out that I was able to log onto this new switch and redownload games that Ive already purchased on my main switch. My son is then generally able to play those games on this one without having to rebuy them. The catch is that he has to use my user account to play them, we cant play the same game on both switches at the same time, and this secondary switch has to connect to the internet to play. It would be nicer if Nintendo implemented a family library approach like they do for Android apps. That way, you can add several other profiles to your family account and each profile has full access to those games.

Been holed up in the house over a month and the switch has been great to have. Im normally not a console guy. Ive had PlayStations and Xboxs before but the switch is different. It brought me back to consoles like never before. Ive logged over 160 hours in Zelda breath of the wild and animal crossing new horizons and its hard to tell time is passing by. Its great. Battery life is decent. About 4 hours of intense gaming before having to plug it back in. Not bad considering. Do yourself a favor and get a memory card and screen protector. Decent screen protectors come with most cases bundled. Also do your hands a favor and get either a skull co or satisfye grip case or even a switch pro controller. Prolonged gaming with the built in buttons without some sort of support can cause fatigue if you dont have some support like a table to rest your arms while gaming. Its set at a good price and I cant wait to take this thing with me while traveling even right now just lounging around the house.

A very cool handheld console and no joycon drift like that of the full version however I have had the item just over a year 14 months and it no longer works due to some sort of system error. Nintendo wants 89 bux to fix it plus another 10 for shipping. Thats insane when you can currently buy it brand new for 179. I have a PS2 that is nearly 30 years old now that runs like a top and a ps3 that is 14 years old that still works great also. Even our Nintendo Wii runs fine. I expected far more than a years worth of play out of this. Buyers beware and probably buy the geek squad insurance

Pros We have both the original Switch Switch Lite in our house and the Lite is the better console for handheld gaming for kids or adults with small hands. The Switch Im reviewing was for my 7 year old daughter. Its a great gaming device thats incredibly easy to use. What it is not is a streaming device, so dont expect to use it to watch Netflix and Disney. It came with Animal Crossing Digital version and my daughter absolutely loves it. Very easy for her to pick up, but would advise any children to be of a decent reading age in order to get on with the game.Cons No rumble. The original Switch has HD Rumble console vibrates whilst gaming, but the Switch Lite does not have this. Although not essential, it does enhance the experience and some games such as Super Mario Odyssey do use the rumble effect for some tasks in game.

I love the switch as a console in general. It has amazing exclusives, ports, indie games, first party games, crossplay games etc. I bought the switch lite because the regular switches were sold out in April due to a halt in manufacturing during COVID19 as well as scalpers buying and reselling them for 400. While I dont regret purchasing this, 3 months later I decided to buy a v2 switch after seeing them available again at MSRP. The lite is great if you never want to dock it like youve probably heard, and I probably wouldnt have wanted to dock it if it werent for two issues1. Fear of joycon driftJoycon drift is a huge issue in both the big switch and switch lite since they both use the same joysticks, but if you damage your joycon on the lite theyre irreplaceable. There are two options if this happensand Ive heard it happens to a lot of people 6 months into gaming. You can send the entire system back to Nintendothis will wipe your game data potentially, and for anyone who plays animal crossing there is no way to back up your island currently, or spoil the portability of the device by using a separately purchased controller.2. The screen is beautiful but super bright and powerful I do wear glassesI am near sighted, but I dont think this is why it has bothered me. With glasses playing gives me a headache, without glasses my eyes become fatigued 1.5 hours into play time. I want to be able to play 3ish hours for competitive games such as fortnite and this makes it hard. This is coming from a college student who prior to the switch spends hours upon hours between my bright phone screen and ipad with zero issues.Dont get me wrong this is an amazing system, and if you already have a homefamily switch giving this to your kids individually may actually cut the cost per child, but long term durability is up in the air. The battery life is longer than a v1 switch, it feels very good in the handsi have smaller hands, the games are great, its easier to fit in my mini backpack in a carrying case, but just be aware of some of the limitations. If you are scared if having problems with your eyesight, maybe the big switch is a better option for you. If you know youre going to be playing roughly on the system or rough games, either get an external controller and prop it up to play OR just buy the big switch.

As both of our kids are Animal Crossing nuts, our Homes Switch is always occupied. Yeah, we know…our fault for introducing the progeny to technology. In any case the Lite is a joy to my Nintendo lovin wife. I think we have three DS of different flavors, a Wii, WiiU and now two Switch devices in the house. Not to forget the Switch our eldest daughters boyfriend bought for her for Christmas.I am in a madhouse where the Koopas, Villagers and Urbosa are in charge. All that being said the Lite has a longlasting battery, the controls are familiar and the overall size is on par with the full Switch. I personally would have gone for blue, but then I rarely play Nintendo games.

If you are debating as to whether or not you are going to invest in a Nintendo Switch Lite or the original switch. The lite is definitely worth it for portability. The unit has a great feel in your hand with a matted plastic finish. Very nostalgic feeling. Its great for not being a fingerprint magnet. The display is very sharp and clear and looks great when playing. Compared to the regular switch the switch lite is lighter thus it allows me to play longer as a handheld. The Switch Lite is slightly smaller than the regular and fits perfectly in my hands. The screen is a touch screen. It does not have a TV hookup. I would highly recommend the Switch Lite.ProsLightweightGreat quality displaySolid feeling since the controllers do not separate like the switch. The material is a really nice texture, very pleasant to the touch.Cons Battery life is noticeably smaller then the original

This is a perfect compact game console with all the necessary ingredients that a gaming machine should have. Is quite fantastic to hold and play using the hands. The BestBuy representative was excellent in helping me to decide between a switch and switch lite. When it comes to games, it seems not all games have the same kind of rendering pattern, like for instance Mario 3D was completely different when played on this compared to playing on a switch. Switch definitely seems to have high performance graphics hardware and more over with dedicated TV connectivity the experience will be different. But for handheld gaming console its definitely worth and provides what it promises… . There are little goofy things which Nintendo enforces on their games like not able to share etc., but if we decide to go with Nintendo, we have to honor those.Overall its a well worth device.

My son loves his Nintendo Switch Lite. He also has the full size switch that he plays. He uses them both to trade Pokmon with himself in different games. We also use it to play together on the Nintendo Switch Online games through the family plan. The device itself if lightweight and easy to use. So far no problem with the controls drifting like the full size switch has, but it is still new. We did put a grip case on it which makes it a little more ergonomic. Overall, it was a great purchase and serves our family well

I have owned the full sized switch for a couple of months and absolutely love it however it is on the larger size as well as heavier for the handheld mode which at times has bothered my wrist holding it due to having arthritis. So I decided to buy the switch lite to see if it was easier and I love it just as much Its smaller but not too small so you still get a decent screen size, color quality, and wonderful image clarity. The buttons are a breeze to use as they are easily reachable and the device fits comfortably in my hands, so I dont find my wrists bending as much during game play which has lessoned the arthritis pain when playing. The colors it comes in are fantastic too Super vibrant and even the grey is a nice tone. I ended up buying multiple switch lites for my whole family ranging from teenagers, to mid 20s, to late 40s and every single one of them love this device. We as well let some relatives ages 312 play them and they were a huge hit with them also. The 3 year old had no issues using the buttons, figuring out the system, and playing the kid friendly games so this is truly for everyone. If you are looking for just a handheld gaming system that you can still use for online gaming then I highly recommend the switch lite

Bought this when regular switches were out of stock to play animal crossing, and overall works pretty well. Its comfortable for handheld play, good graphics, sound, and display, and works with most Nintendo Switch games. Ive been able to play Animal Crossing, Breath of the Wild, and Paper Mario without any major issues.Biggest criticism is that the joy sticks are VERY susceptible to drift and getting stuck, which is annoying because you either have to take them out to try cleaning them which Im nervous to do, or send it in to get it fixed. And unlike the regular switch, theres not a way to get different controllers to fix the issue. So be careful of this if you order it.Otherwise, its a good handheld console. Cant be played on the TV and some games are not compatible with it, so make sure to do research before you buy. Its 100 cheaper than a switch, but you give up some of the benefits for that price difference.

So horrible I bought this on December 12th Suppose to have 3 day shipping . Item ships on the 16th and says it is suppose to deliver on the 19th.Now its Jan 5th and it finally arrived today My daughter wanted this for Christmas and couldnt even play it.I would like to know why I spent 423 when I just found out the light is only 199 at the store For a 56 game and a little case I dont think so.I thought I was getting the better version of the switch cause it was so expensive . I had no idea it was only a handheld that you cant play on the TV or nothing So 423 for a 199 device that arrived 2 weeks late I should have boughtThe better version at Walmart for 300 and bought the game. I would have saved money, has a better switch and my Daughter Would have been able to play during Christmas break .

My daughter is walking me through the use of it and Ive used it a few hours, twice so far. The game I bought for it seems to be most of the learning curve. The freelyheld controllers are easy to use and reliable. Im actually living the kind of childhood I didnt get to, since Im 68. Im enjoying playing it while shes on WhatsApp with me, walking me through a few game functions while she plays with hers in Stockholm I wish I had this technology when I was a kid. Im making up for lost time. Now, let me take the game off pause. Its taking up the entire 55 inches of my TV. So cool

This is a great little gaming system. Bought this for my kids and my nine year old immediately claimed it. It is even better buying the Geek Squad Certified ones they look brand new and function perfectly as far as I can tell.Easy to download games. Battery life seems pretty good, although I dont know how often he plugs it in to charge. The one drawback, and this is a big one for us, is the inability to connect to the WiFi in our car. I have read some articles and they were so involved I havent even attempted them yet. Im not sure why Nintendo does not make this possible or if it is, a simple process when almost every other electronic device out there will connect to my car. This system would easily be a 5 star product, but the car WiFi issue knocks it down to 4 stars.

Be it your only system or as an additional system to your regular switch, I have found the switch lite an amazing system. I will be honest, at first I was planning on giving this to a friend as a present but, when I tried this system out, I found it to be my preferred way of handheld play, the regular switch paling in comparison. This system is amazing comfortable to hold for long gaming sessions and actually the right size to fit in my pocket. It really makes the regular switch feel large and bulky in comparison. I would really recommend this to anyone who already has a switch and like handheld play or to anyone perhaps looking to buy a switch but not looking to play on the TV. I have also found the system highly durable compared to the more flimsy, almost delicate, base model, making this a must have for any kids come the holiday. My only grip is the fear of joystick drift. Having used this system for well over 200 hours now, I have not experienced anything yet but I still fear every time I boot this thing up that it will drift but for now it is a wait and see. Still, I highly recommend this system. In all honesty, playing games like astral chain, dragon quest 11 and Insert some Nintendo IP here on the go in this small form factor makes me remember why nintendo will always be the kings of handheld.

Ive had the switch lite for about a week now July 27th 2020 was the day it came and I wanted to play it for a bit before I made a review on it. So if youre unsure of whether to get it or not perhaps this might help a bitPrice honestly a lot more than I wanted to spend 308 wtax but this was the cheapest I could find one at this time that wasnt used or refurbished. The details I wish the listing was written better because I didnt know I was buying from a third party seller until I got the receipt saying so.Condition the switch box was in perfect condition and I didnt seem to get a used switch like some say they did.Adaptorpower plug some say their switch came with European power plugs but thankfully mine came with a regular US one perhaps it depends on where your switch is being shipped from Mine came shipped from California.Screen the screen is in perfect resolution with no yellow tintBattery life honestly would expect the battery life to be longer since its a hand held but since Im always home its not a big deal to me.Overall I love my switch lite The only reason I put four instead of five stars is because of the price spike. But other than that I have no issues with it so far

The switch lite is a brilliant device if you are low on budget or you simply want a smaller more portable switch. It is much much lighter than the regular switch, so I never feel tired however long I hold it. Though being lighter, the quality is really good. I especially like the exterior material, it has a rubbery feel. The coral color I chose also looks really good, better than the picture. The only complain I have is that placement of the right analog stick. My right thumb always bend on the right stick, and it gets harder if I need to pull down the stick.

This is my second switch. My to go switch. I take it to work and play during my break. For some reason i enjoy playing more on this switch than with my first generation switch. This nintendo switch is great. The battery life is longer and it feels better on my hands when i use it. I was hesitant about about buying it because i already had one. I use this switch lite on the go and I keep my first generation switch on the dock. I will eventually clean it up, repack it and give it to my son for Christmas. In the meantime i will be using it for the next three months secretly. I recommend this nintendo switch lite to everyone 100

I am not impressed with the switch or the switch lite. We had 2 of the switch consoles. The joy cons break easily. I was able to send 1 back under warranty, but ended up having to by separate controllers in order for my boys to continue using the consoles. Right after the 1 year warranty ran out one of the switch consoles got a blue screen making it unusable. Since I had so many problems with the 300 switch. I decided to replace it with the 200 Switch lite hoping to at least eliminate the joy con issues. Here we are a month and a half after christmas and the switch lite has a blue screen. So, would I recommend any switch product That would be a NOOOOOOO They are overpriced pieces of junk with a pathetic warranty.

Got this for my 5 year old and its easy for her to pick up on quick. They make a variety of games for younger and older people. My daughter is not a big tech kid, she loves playing outside but on a rainy day or road trip, this is her go to. The only bad thing Ive heard about the switch lite, is that the joycons can go bad fairly quick and cannot be easily replaced like the regular switch, so you need a whole new system. Thankfully we havent had that issue and I got the protection plan, but even without the protection plan, I have faith in Nintendo Support. Ive called for other devices and was put through to someone quick and they fixed the issues in a timely manner. So all around I give it 5 stars and will update if needed.

I found 2 elusive Nintendo Switch Lites in Grey available at the Wal Mart kind of close to me. I messaged my son who lives in Washington state since he was looking for one also. They did not offer ship to home or in store pick up. Only ship to store for pick up. Since my son is deploying soon, he was looking for one to take with him so he could play with his boys while away. He asked if he ordered one for himself, would I pick it up and ship it out to him What could a Mother say I said yes, of course I have a Nintendo Switch but wanted a Switch Lite for when Im on the go or on vacation. I have not used this yet but I will say I ordered it for ship to store for pick up and was told it would be ready for pick up the next day at Noon. I knew it would be that way since it was 845 that I ordered it. I was so excited As it turned out, they were shipped from, Im assuming a warehouse, and would be ready for pick up Saturday April 25 after 600pm. I was disappointed. Since my son would be deploying soon, I had to bring his to the post office and have it shipped so he could get it ASAP. Fortunately, his deployment is coming up by the end of this month and he has his Switch Lite and mine is still in its box, waiting to come out when needed. I gave it 5 stars because even though it was delayed several days, it did come as promised and in excellent shape. I know it will be awesome since its a Nintendo Switch Lite

QVC is definitely taking advantage of the short supply of Switches and the pandemic, that has many of us trapped in the house which is their prerogative, but with the accessories, it is still 100 overpriced. They act like an AC adapter is part of the accessories package, but the console comes with one how else do you charge it I did not get my earbuds, I tried to call customer service, but it kept telling me to go online to resolve my problem which I cant, so I was going to send an email and had to go through screens that kept telling me to find a solution online. I was finally able to send an email, over a week ago, I did get an autogenerated message telling me it was taking longer than normal, we will see if they get back to me.The Switch itself is great, it lives up to its reputation. Its easy to get online and download software, and the Nintendo Online service, which you need to play with others over internet is only 20year. The hard case is nice, as is the thick and easy to apply screen protector.I felt that my experience with QVC and theIr use of predatory capitalism took away a lot of stars. I can just imagine what the price will be around Christmas if there is still a shortage.

Hi Nintendo, and whoever is reading this,The postitive about this product is definitely the build quality. It feels confident, comfortable, and generally very natural. The postitioning of all buttons are pretty much infallable ergonomically, although this may not be the same for someone with smaller hands than mine. Personally, there is a deep satisfaction gained as a consumer in seeing and feeling the material, holding the product in my hands. Its sturdy, yet light. The speakers function well, and I believe the audio output is in stereo This is a noticable detail that I am definitely a fan of, impacting gameplay. Along with this, the software and its user interface is easy to navigate, straighforward and sleek too. It feels modern and up to date. One thing to note is about the joysticks. I personally find that they are not ergonomic. I think they could benefit from being convex rather than concave, as the current shape causes the thumb to slip off fairly easily. It feels harder and more uncomfortable to use them than necessary. Making them convex would allow the thumb to rest more comfortably and with better friction to allow for better response and ease of movement. The stick is also quite sensitive and seems to switch between walking and running too easily, at least on Animal Crossing, however this may be due my inputs and not the hardware. However, regardless of this, the materials on the sticks are grippy and clean feeling, which is greatMy main qualm is that I would have really liked to see a better screen higher resolution on this product. The main reasoning for this, and I hold the same opinion for the main switch product, is that Nintendos games are incredibly beautiful. Breath of the Wild, SuperMario Oddyssy, Animal Crossing etc. are all impeccably visually crafted, and it is a HUGE shame to be unable to experience such graphics at a higher, clearer resoltution. Along with this, HDR support and the ability to tweak colour vibrancy along with other settings would be much appreciated to people like myself who like to make the experience the best that it can be for themselves. I can often see the aliasing lines within the games, and this really takes me out of the experience, albeit a fairly minor detail. I would also love to see the switch have an upgrade to hardware, as I personally feel that low framerates really negatively affect the userexperience. As someone who is used to playing on PC and seeing in excess of 100 frames per second, up to 144, seeing a game struggle to hit 30 or 40 is a real shame, mainly with breath of the wild. I understand that this is a personal opinion and that not everyone would be bothered by this on paper, but I think most people would notice and appreciate the change.Regardless I am happy with the product, especially the portability, but I hope to see Nintendo release a pro version or something of the like, that would up the performance and resolution, as Im sure many players, myself included would purchase such a console at the drop of a hat. I dont think it makes a lot of sense releasing it now due to current strain on manufacturing and logistics networks, along with consumer attitudes and the financial state, at least here in the UK, but within the coming year or so I think it would be a strong move for Nintendo. Thanks if anyone actually read this andor cared and I hope youre having a good day S.

Basically a budget friendly Nintendo Switch thats meant to be more portable. Unlike the iphone 11 and iphone 11 Pro, Galaxy 10e and Galaxy 10, iphone XR and iphone X, etc it doesnt keep all features the same, just downgraded. In fact like the Nintendo 2DS compared to 3DS it actually takes away some features. If you already own a Nintendo Switch console, you can sync or transfer from your profilegamessaves using your Nintendo account. Very simple when you boot up system for first time itll walk you through it stepbystepIf you sync or link one account to multiple switch consoles, the nonmain one has to verify every few hours to play downloaded games which can be a hassle if you dont have internet connectionLets go through the list of changes1. Size, weight, portabilityOverall size in general The Switch Lite is basically the Original Switch Ill be referring it to Switch moving forward but with one of the joy cons detached. You think this will be more portable, but in practice from my personal experience its not. If you consider size onlyThe Switch can detach joycons for better storage. Downside is that you must be aware where you put the screen and joycons and attach them later. There is a difference if you pocket thing whole thing without detaching i guessSeeing the smaller size, there may be more hand cramping involved if you have giant adult sized handsSwitch Lite is lighter in weight, but its not a nightandday difference. Not going to tell unless you have both sidebyside in each hand.Bezels are colored which is nice. Its not black like on the Switch, so able to distinguish where the screen ends2. No detachable joyconsCannot detach joycons, making the logo snapclick sound clip that game trailers start offends with absolutely useless when referring to Switch line of systems in general. As one singular unit, fused into the system feels more solid in the hand compared to originalDownside is that it loses some functionality in some gamesYou are not able to split controllers to let a friend playSome games that you cant play on Switch Lite out of the box as of this review are12 SwitchFitness BoxingJust Dance SeriesNintendo Labo SeriesNintendo Lano VRRing Fit AdventuresSuper Mario PartySurgeon SimulatorThere are also other games thats not as convenient to play in handheld only likeARMSFortnightMario Kart 8 DeluxeMario Tennis AcesPokemon Lets Go seriesSuper Mario OdysseySplatoon 2Zelda Breath of the WildYou can buy joy cons to play on Switch Lite, but that costs additional 70 MSRP. Might as well buy a Switch at that pointIf the thumb sticks breaks or if there are drifting issues, you can have it fixed by Nintendo for 80.3. Cannot be docked to TV, no kick standNo docking station. If you own the Switch with docking station the Switch Lite cannot fit in it.As of right now, theres no official docking station for Switch Lite from Nintendo, and no 3rd party adaptersNo kickstand to play on tabletop mode. Seeing the smaller screen you wouldnt want to anyway even when a lot of controllers are sync and people squinting their eyes when huddled around the system4. Has a DPad.Best feature of the system in my opinion. Better tactile feel when playing. Enhances gameplay especially when playing 2D fightersDpad and other buttons ABXY, shoulder buttons are more muted when pressed which is great when playing in a public setting5. No IR, HD RumbleThe IR Motion Camera and HD rumble features have been removed. Games that support these features will not work on Switch lite6. Better battery47 hours versus the 36 hours of the original launch Nintendo Switch. If you buy the newer 2019 model of Switch Retail box with a lot of Red, the battery life is better than the Switch Lite7. New colorsComes in Turquoise, Grey and YellowTheres also a Pokemon Sword and Shield Zacian and Zamazenta Edition edition8. Smaller screen5.5 vs 6.2 inch screenResolution is the same at 720p, but more compact making it appear sharper with a 267ppi vs 236ppiOverall, I like the concept of a more portable , affordable switch, but I dont like the fact that it exists. If its like the 2ds with no 3d support. Devs even first party will eventually take away features in games in the future motion controls, AR support, HD rumble, docked TV mode, etc to cater to a wider audience. They should have just made it smaller and kept everything the sameGood buy for those budget friendly, but if you like more options best to go for the upgrade if you can afford it.

I absolutely love my switch lite. Im 40 and use this to play Fortnite with my boys while they are at their moms house. We all connect headsets and play together. I cant tell you how great this is as a divorced dad to be able to be with my kids when they are away. When the weekends come we all play Mario party together on the old switch and fortnite with these. Best Buy has a good price. I had returned one to Walmart as they sent me a European switch with an interesting wall adapter. Best Buy has the switch lite made for the United States.

Full disclosure Im a bit of a Nintendo fanboy and have been my whole life. But I really do like this little guy.I bought a Switch on launch day way back when. My now 8 year old kid has been playing it recently and wanted one of his own. He saved up his birthday money and picked one of these up when it came out. Were both pretty happy with it.Build quality so far seems good, it remains to be seen if the analog sticks will have the same drifting issues that have plagued the original Switch. Screen is nice and bright, and yes its on the smaller side but certainly everything is legible. Battery life could be better, but thats to be expected with the compact size. Speaking of which, its perfect for his 8 year old hands but could be problematic for adult hands. Only downside is no rumble or TV out, but he doesnt care about that.Nintendo has finally joined the 20th century with regards to online accounts, so multiple Switches and digital games isnt as big a deal as it used to be with say the 3DS. In fact, I believe the Nintendo setup is basically the same as PS4.I think Id still recommend the original Switch for an initial buy, but for a secondary unit or multiples, Id recommend this.
