As a Nikon Zfc owner, I was looking for a good everyday zoom lens with more reach than the 16-50mm kit lens. Well, I have found it. This Nikkor DX 18-140mm (a 35mm equivalent of 27-210mm) is just perfect. Lightweight, versatile, inexpensive and pin-sharp, this lens is a delight to use and now, never leaves my Zfc. This an excellent all-in-one walkaround lens for Nikon Z DX bodies. Light, small and surprisingly compact, it feels well put together and offers good image quality over a sensible 27-210mm equivalent range. Pair it with a Z50 or Zfc, and you will have a good, basic all-in-one lens that also offers excellent value for money. OK, it’s got a plastic mount, and I would have loved a slightly wider (16/24) bottom end. But, all in all, it seems an excellent design compromise. I have yet to purchase a duff Z-mount lens, FX or DX, and this one is no exception. It does exactly what it’s designed to do, in a robust, lightweight package.
