February 2024 i feel this is going to be my go to lens for a while, nice and compact, i can see this is going to be great for street and landscape photography. So far no issues, nice and silent

I bought this lens to go with a Nikon Zfc camera body, I have just purchased for my wife. She likes the retro effect. The lens I tested with my Nikon Z9 and was very pleased with the results. Apart from looking really nice as a retro edition the performance is excellent. Considering I use expensive professional lenses, the picture quality at this level is remarkable. Shame the mount is plastic, but it is okay for the amount of swapping it will get. Corner to corner at f2.8 tack sharp, stopped down a little and it can stand up to the best Nikon have. fc is complete Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 May 2022 On release the Nikon Z fc came with two kit version one with two zooms or with this fixed prime lens. The 28mm is a joy to work with, very fast autofocus and the images are bright and sharp as you would expect. One person found this helpful

This is one of the two potential kit lenses that come with the Nikon Z fc. Kit lens are typically built to a lowish price, and with plastic rear lens mounts, that’s happened here. This said, the Z fc was made for photographers with a certain… image in mind(?), and this lens fits that image well. I’ve been asked if the camera is analogue, with it attached, for example. With all this said, the photos it helps the camera takes pleasingly sharp photos on a DX body, even towards the edges. One person found this helpful
