Ive not used it yet but plan on taking it on an upcoming trip where regular tripods are not allowed. Hoping the smaller footprint will be ok.Some at home testing appears it will handle what I want it to do.Appears well built but it is all plastic. I do like the size and weight. It will be easy to pack.

Im a big fan of Manfrotto products. Ive used their tripods, monopods, and heads and theyve all been great in every situation and very durable. I consider them workhorses. So when it was time for a tiny tabletop tripod for my Canon EOS M, I decided to check this one out. Its small and functional. When you push the Manfrotto logo you can rotate the head. This is not meant for video work such as panning, etc. Its meant to set it and thats it. If I want to do all those other things Ill use a regular tripod with fluid head. I like the size of this one and it does what it needs to. You can even close the legs up and hold it by the legs and walk around with the camera shooting video. No, its not a glidecam, but hey, thought Id give it a shot. Not too bad. Anyway, this thing is simplicity itself. Another edition to my Manfrotto collection.
Merissa P. –
Deceptive product. Does not offer a full range of motion. Cannot use phone at a direct angle, always tilted too far up or down. Very disappointing and misleaing.

I wanted a decent quality clamp for my smart phone to use with a miniature tripod or other flexible grip. The Universal PIXI clamp appeared to be ideal in that it had a positive clamp, was not too wide and had a soft, Vshaped grip. In practice it ticked all these boxes and is small enough to be easily carried in a pocket. It didnt seem to be easy to find on the internet, so thank you Wilkinsons Cameras for getting on to me Well pleased.
John –
As a sports photographer, I prefer to snap photos from a low perspective giving my subjects a towering height. Handholding a camera near the ground or floor can be a challenge, so I bought this Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod from BH. For basketball, I sit near the lane at the baseline I set my 1DX on the mini tripod next to me, adjusted the perspective I wanted from the floor, and preset my camera settings along with a wireless remote trigger. Using a second camera with a 70200mm for closeups, then remotely fire the floor camera as the players shoot to the hoop. Make a world of difference The Manfrotto minitripod will have many other tabletop photo opportunities.
James –
Tripod is great, good quality metal and just heavy enough to provide good stability. Ball joint speeds up composition. Clamp is not quite large enough. I have a Samsung Galaxy 9 phone with Otterbox case. The clamp, which is strong and well made, barely fits over the case. It takes great strength to pull it out far enough to fit. Sometimes it slips and pinches my fingers. Also, the clamp only works in the landscape mode.
William –
This is a great, lightweight, compact tabletop tripod. legs are adjustable, and ball joint seems very stable. pair with a good phone adapter and a remote bluetooth shutter button and this is a nice group selfie cam stand. Flip the button and it goes closer to the table. I like using it for pics of business cards for example.
Federico –
This combo of minitripod and clamp for cellular phone is a must for every traveller. Practical, versatile and secure. It also supports the weight of a DSLR camera. Highly reliable.
Sarah –
This is good quality tripod. I just put my cameras here and ready to use. Its easy to adjust positions. I use cannon m50 camera, one problem is I cant take out battery or memory card with tripod. I have to remove Tripod first. But still love it
John –
This is a very good, sturdy little tripod. Its a little large for the GoPro rig that I bought it for, kinda wish I would have gotten the smaller Pixie. But, the extendable legs are very handy for uneven ground or getting a couple inches more height. Might be a bit bouncy when fully extended with a heavier DSLR and lens, but it will hold up most consumer cameras with ease.
jngillan –
Useful item at a reasonable price, and better made than most. Extendable legs, for the same price, would earn it a fifth star. There is a larger version that has extendable legs, but at a much higher price, and I wouldnt recommend it. If you need a small, portable, fully featured tripod, I recommend the Sirui range of travel tripods.
Victor –
I havent actually used this product yet but I will this weekend. Ive fooled around with it a bit and it looks like itll work for me.I have a monopod already and the PIXI will attach to that. I intend to live stream some indoor soccer with this set up.
John –
I like it. It works well and gets my camera much lower than my big tripod. The only thing that slightly concerned me is that it feels a little cheap, which I get that it is a cheaper tripod, it just feels like it couldve been slightly better made, especially on the knob to tighten the ball. It feels cheaply made, like itll be the first thing to break. Other than that, Ive used it and its pretty stury with my A7II, even in portrait. Just worried about the longevity

I like Manfrotto kit as its well made Ive used it for years. Id been looking around for a clamp to hold an old iPhone to use as a video camera. Id dismissed the 4 ones on a well known auction site as they were plastic. Though Id spend the extra and get the Manfrotto one a bit disappointed then when it arrived and its also plastic. Perhaps I should have done more research as Id assumed it would be aluminium. Work well though.
Dave –
This is a great little tripod Perfect for table top use or on any relatively flat surface. Ive even used it on my car for a few shots of the stars. The pads on the bottom make it grip the surface really well. The button and locking mechanism to free up the swivel is strong and durable which gives you the confidence your camera is secure. It is lightweight and manageable and doesnt take up too much space in your bag. Great product. Great design. Im very happy with it and highly recommend it
Dale –
I was a bit hesitant with a couple bad reviews claiming the structure was poorly built, but I needed to start somewhere and a brand like Manfrotto couldnt be too poorly designed. So far, it is working very well. Admittedly getting my head behind the Samsung G8 to check framing and adjustment of polarizer when setting up is tough with the short legs, but the push button lock for the ball head works as Id imagine it, and havent stressed anything mounted on it with excess weight or being ham handed.I ran a short time lapse of some rapidly moving clouds within the last week and it was quick to set up, worked perfectly, and the video was jitter free despite some wind on the surface the tripod was placed upon.So far Im very pleased with this unit and if it stands up to my gentle to moderate use, Ill be even happier.
Eric –
Great little tripod for small video cameras. I use it as a third or fourth angle during weddings and sometimes is the replacement for the gimbal in cameras as the GH5 and G85, provide me a nice handle. The price is worth it.
sonia.d –
This is my current handheld tripod for vlogging and I absolutely love it. It is good value for money but I would say that it is a little bit heavy which is also good because it holds my camera nice and steady
Mitch –
I agree with the others who have said this is too plasticky. I expected more for thirty eight dollars. I would send it back but you have to destroy the plastic packaging to get it out.Not happy. What happened to Manfrotto They used to make quality products, now its just cheap junk.
George –
My Pixi Mini Table Top Tripod stands small physically but what it does makes it quite tall in my estimation. It is a sturdy tripod that can be used at a low angle but high enough to be the basis of a podcast. It can has served for me as a movie camera grip and tripod. It is totally dependable…this little giant.
Joan –
My latest camera has the convenience of being small enough for a pocket while having a 40X optical zoom. The Manfrotto tripod stabilizes the camera, either closed and handheld or open and on a flat surface to yield results that would be impossible to obtain without stabilization. The ability to change the angle of the camera at the push of a button is an added plus. This tripod is just as necessary as the camera.
Anonymous –
Service and delivery from Wilkinson very good. In terms of the clamp, good overall, but the plastic prop on the back is quite flimsy, so could break easily. The rest of the clamp is very well designed. Overall, a good compromise if the jump up to the next Manfrotto clamp in the range is too much.
Paul M. –
Great little tripod, securely holds my iPhone 12 Max Pro in its Otterbox case. Head transfers to full sized tripod with two screw mount position options. Thumb button ball head is quality made for adjustment and then release to stable adjusted position.
Andrew –
Its a good little gadget. How long it lasts only time will tell. The locking mechanism should probably be some kind of metal and not plastic. The clamp is fine with my S20 and it looks wide enough for the Ultra and other gisnagerous phones.
Nathaniel –
Yet another great product from Manfrotto I agree with other reviewers that a full size DSLR might have trouble with this tripod due to weight but I use it primarily for my mirrorless Canon and it works great. Super compact and ready to stash anywhere for when Im on the go. Great price and shipping was super fast. Another great purchasing experience with B H
Anonymous –
Just bought a second for use with my Lume Cube Mini Panels. This tripod has a solid feel to it, keeps the lights where I want them. It is also my backpacking musthave as it supports my GH5 sporting a heavy lens just fine, and getting the horizon with the viewfinder guide is just a push of that little button.
Leah –
I needed a last minute, compact tripod to bring with me on a trip to HK since my luggage was full and could not fit my normal tripod. Found this and decided to give it a shot. Tucks neatly into the corner of my camera bag and cant even tell its there. Excellent design and build quality. Much more stable than my Gorilla pod and was able to shoot many long exposures and time lapses with zero issues. Very cheap and smartly designed with the built in ballhead.
Anonymous –
Its a pocket sized giant, you can pop it in your back pocket and youre set for your shoot, Ive got its manfrotto carbon fibre big brother but for low level shots this thing is just so much easier, combined with the Sony phone link app I can do my ground shots. Standing up, whats not to like
William –
Its compact, and made very well very easy to use. I have bought many things from your site and always never disappointed or disatisfied. Will always buy products from your site everything is top knotch Thank You also it came faster than expected and did appreciate this for I needed soon and just in time.SincerelyBill B. NY
Dave –
Pros Looks and feels like a quality piece of kit and does what it says on the packet. It has an ingenious sprung screw thread for different sized headsattachments. I imagine I will use the pod mostly with the legs splayed out for stability camera and telescope. This is a great product for the price and Im well pleased with it.Cons Not really a problem as such, but without actually seeing it happen it is difficult to describe how the 3 legs are deployed. Simply put, the bottom of the monopod unscrews and is taken off. The 3 legs open out and the centre of the legs screws back in. It is a bit fiddly, especially when the legs are splayed out, but you cant have everything One further note. I got a blood blister when I trapped my finger between the leg and centrepiece It didnt really hurt, just pinched the skin. need to be unscrewedtaken off before opening and rescrewed onto the
Alex –
I have a bunch of these and I use them for everything from holding audio recorders, mics, cell phones or even small DSLR cameras. Oh Even lights An absolute must have for anyone into making content or just every day life
Neal –
Here is a sturdy, wellmade mini tripod which will fit in your camera bag or small backpack. You can use it as a tabletop support or down on the ground for macro photos or times when you need a steady platform. It will support a bigger zoom lens with a collar for balance.
johnjuice88 –
Very stable and feels like a good quality product. It is compact in that the 3 legs fold down creating it to be flat, but it is long. Its not feather light but for the strength and stability the weight is justified.
James –
These are a great tripod but do not buy them unless they are on some kind of special or bargain. The works well, holding lights, microphones, and as great for mounting a cell phone of small phablet through the use of a cell phone clip. Value is around 15.00 and they are slightly overpriced.
besligjayson –
This is exactly what you need if you travel. It is sturdy, weighs next to nothing, compact, and built very tuff. It holds your camera or electronic quite well and secure. You can even use it around your house or anywhere for vlogging, in partys, and your adventures. I know im happy with mine.
stefano –
I am not a tripod kind of photographer, most of the time. The Manfrotto Pixi supports my Sony mirrorless. The ball head wth the push button is really handy to use, and allows precise positioning of the camera. it fits in a coat pocket or easily in most bags. It does not allow you portrait orientation of the camera maybe if it did it would not be very balanced. Better than similar and cheaper competing solution. Anyway, I had lost mine and I bought another. Great for travel. You an always use it on the ground, or on top of a car its feet are smooth and i do not think they would scratch a surface. Manfrotto Pixi brought some freshness to tabletop tripods
Steven –
This is just the coolest gadget I have a couple of these now and it is amazing how tough they are. They will support more than you think…It has held my D7200 with a 1750 2.8 rock steady plenty of times. I really like using these for speed lights at low level.
Eliott –
Its very good as a mini tripod but for those who are looking for an alternative to the famous Joby GorrillaPod to use it as a selfie stick with a 70D80D or any DSLR and a microphone mounted on it, this is clearly not a good idea. I would have preferred a steel head instead of the plastic one, because it really feels like it can break at any moment when you use it that way. But as I said, it is great as a tripod many reviews down there are confirming it as long as you use it as a tripod I hope I have been useful to some people.
TranquilityBase –
Excellent mini tripod that has lots of portable and weight benefits for the travel photographer and videographer. I looked at number of similar mini tripods in the B and H store in New York and opted for this one because there is a very useful button that allow you to lock the ball head into place in seconds. Other mini pods require you to unlock and tighten the ball head first. It held the weight of my canon DSLR and 55 to 70 kit lens without any problems. Just pop the camera on the mini tripod and then place it on a park bench, wall or anything to give you additional height. Look around and I am sure you will always find something to place the mini pod on.
thirdhussars –
The name Manfrotto attracted me as I have used one for 20 plus years. I have owned a number of small tripods over the years, ranging from passable to useless, most had built in camera shake. The Pixi is simple to operate, steady when open and with a superbly positive push button to control of the ball mechanism. Whilst not especially compact it folds into an economical shape When folded the legs form a convenient handle to hold the camera steady in general use . I recommend this product.
Justin –
Great option for vlogging. Small, light and easy to throw in your bag. For anywhere you need to keep your camera still in low light its a great option. I always have it with me and dont notice it.
Mark –
Its stability also the build is great, the flexibility on the sphere also the adjustment on 3 legged stand could use some additional modifications.Sphere pressing the tab to unlock the sphere for movement, its slides back and forth roughly, feels like it can use lubricant for a smoother adjustment, I reframe from adding any type chemical for I dont know if it might ruin it. This sphere I am referring to is what moves your video view to shoot or record in a 360 degree angle.3 Leg Stand its very sturdy and I love it, once open to hold your device it adjust to only one level. Be nice if it can have maybe at least 3 adjustments from when you unfold its legs.Overall I am using this without complications, its very sturdy and does its purpose, price is worth it, I recommend viewers to purchase it, I am using this item to record HD videos from my phone to upload online or live feed online also.
Conrad –
You know this is going to be good when you see they provided a perforated area on the back of the package so you could get it out without wrecking the product or your fingers. Beautifully made and does just what it should. No, it wont hold your camera with a foot long zoom, but does just fine with reasonable sized cameras and macro lenses. Doesnt seem apt to slip. Great price.
akel2488 –
Bought it for my new Nikon D3300. I had a cheap one before what I hated. Screw lost as it just has fallen off on one of my holiday. So I just binned it then. This one is so solid you think you can easily stand on it. Screen not going to come off like the others did and the head holds its position very strong. 5 out of 5 stars. No point to pay 10 pound less and buy a rubbish one.
Jeff –
Got this for use with my GoPro Hero 5 Black. The tripod itself is very nice, easy to carry, easy to setup on small surfaces, and the pushbutton unlock to rotate the head is very nice and simple to use. The tripod with the legs folded in provides a comfortable hand grip for carrying the camera. Now for a slight problem the included GoPro tripod mount would not tighten up enough to my GoPro to hold it in place. I had to use a GoPro branded tripod mount, that worked great. I dont believe the included tripod mount has enough threads in the little silver nut to allow the GoPro screw to fully tighten. May only be an isolated problem with the one I got
A Google User –
Simple but solid. Far, far better than my previous shopbought bendy stand that broke after three uses. The top grip detaches and can be attached to a larger tripod, itll even function as a simple phone stand. The pushbutton to release the ball grip that allows you to quickly adjust the angle of the phone is an elegant and simple idea that saves a lot of messing with screws like in other devices. It was a bit stiff at first but now functions smoothly.Overall, Im very happy.
Michael –
Nice product. The features are as promised, and the broad base is great and tops compared to other mini tripods for balky loads like SLRs with fast mediumlong lenses and for taking shots that require the camera to be rotated for portrait views. I do wish there was a bit more elevation range, but hey, for the range it has its stability and quality beat all the others Ive tried. And hey, it looks coolNice design at a decent price.
rndmseller2 –
I wish this wouldve said that it was used and opened. Even though it shows very little signs of usage its definitely been used and opened because there are some scuffs. This is pretty disappointing. However, the product its self Im sure Ill love. Manfrotto brand always pulls through.
Jim –
Overall, a very high quality and well made tripod. Its weighted nicely and can be used as a monopod for you to grip and walk around. What I dont like about the tripod is the button. Its incredibly difficult to push and even more difficult to rotate the ball on top to adjust the position. Its so tight, its uncomfortable to use. I get that it needs to be tight for it to lock in position, but its too tight for my comfort.
0116abdi –
Bought this thinking its going to be cheap plastic but I was wrong Am not sure if its plastic or metal. But it definitely has a heft to it and the ball head is super strong and can hold even a super heavy DSLR
Jack –
Originally, I was going to buy the original PIXI mintripod, but I decided to go with this one instead. Its a very nice tripod which I intend to use for some inthecab recordings of my snow plowing I didnt want to buy an expensive dash cam. I like that the legs are individually adjustable in both length, and with the slide of a small switch, height. This works out well for an irregularly shaped surface by the front window where the tripod sits. Its sturdy and the screw platformhead is very secure when mounting my minicamcorder. Buyers should note that the head on the PIXI EVO model is held in place by the red color knob which screwsdown your equipment the original PIXIs platform could be adjusted and tightened by pushingin the red color button, which was a quickadjustable feature the EVO model does not have. This is a very well made minitripod from Manfrotto. The price was fair and BH delivered it very fast.
F –
I got this tripod to mount a webcam on. It works perfectly on top of my desk. It has a bit more flexibility than I realized in how it can be set up and used. I would say if you have a fairly straightforward table top or desktop this is a great option for a small flexible tripod.
arabadeth –
Im giving to this tripod just 4 stars since it wasnt new as described the box was broken, it was dusty and the plastic simbol was shady. Its super sturdy, even hard to move and Im not sure if its the way this tripod is meant to be or if its something related to the fact thats a preowned item.Im keeping it since Im sick to wait. I got another one that was broken and I already returned it. I need it for my job. The price its convenient, cheaper than usual, but I would like to be the one who decide if I want to spend more for something thats actually new. I would recommend this little Manfrotto, though. The quality is definitely higher than any similar item Ive checked.
Robert –
These hand held try pods can be surprisingly very expensive, so I was happy to find this one which is priced reasonably. It is very sturdy well made without being too heavy or bulky. It holds my very heavy Cannon EOS R with 25 105 lense with no problem at all. I never feel like its going to fall over. Mind you I always make sure the lense is parallel with one of the legs for extra support.JFYI, the legs do have a slight flex or bounce to them when you press down or place your camera on top. I doesnt make it fell any less sturdy and it might even help it to be more stable… Just thought someone might want to know.RJ
hazza10 –
This tripod is really stable with in limits. If you expect it to hold a large full frame dslr with a heavy zoom lens you may want to look elsewhere. However as far as a small light tripod for travel goes, it will do the job excellently. I have use it with my Fuji XT2 and 23mm f2.0 lens and it is very stable, and most M43 cameras would be just fine on it. It wouldnt hold my Nikon D700 though but I wouldnt expect it too. Great bit of kit and a good addition to anyones camera bag.
Anonymous –
This tripod has some great features wide splay of the extendable legs for great stability, two different leg angles, a notch for positioning the camera to frame portraitstyle shots instead of landscapestyle. I have no worries about my DSLR camera tipping over on this thing The main downside is that the tripod is not as rigid as I could hope, and precisely framing shots requires a bit of correction after initially tightening the ball joint, as the camera and legs settle a bit, and the pointing sags slightly.
Anthony –
I recently purchased a Canon EOS M6 Mark ii and need a small tripod like this. My camera fits great on it and it fits my needs with no problem, but I was expecting a little bit better quality at this price, it feels cheap and very plasticity in my hand. So just keep that in mind when deciding. Perhaps Id be better off buying a Joby Gorilla pod…
revis23 –
It definitely depends on what you are doing. What you are shooting with, the surface its sitting on, and whether or not youre using an extension with it. By itself with a small point and shoot, micro 43, or GoPro type camera Im sure it would be great. Attach a selfie stick to it for extension and things change quite a bit. The base although small is too light and with wind it will tip over with the extension attached. Im a property virtual tour creator and tried to use it with a 360 camera and found getting things perfectly level nearly impossible. Not a bad tool, just the wrong tool in my case. Smaller and lighter is not always better. Good for average recreational use though.
Jonathan –
Much larger, stronger, and more versatile than the original pixi, I can support my phone with microphone, and two Lume Cube 2.0 lights with no problems. I can also use my gimbal with it. A vloggers dream.
kfy –
The fixing for ball adjustment and attachment to a mobile phone, both amazingly stable. From the small outlook and reasonable price, I didnt expect this quality. Pleasant surprise. Just one drawback is it cant adjust the height as seen…. So I need to pile up books to get particular height. Although it isnt a big issue. Overall I like this tripod
Jay –
The PIXI minitripod has the usual awesome Manfrotto build quality and is surprisingly lightweight. One thing I didnt realize before the purchase is that the ballhead cant tilt more than 45 degrees in any direction, so movement is somewhat restricted. The phone clamp is less impressive, its made of plastic and I sometimes fear for breaking it, when opening the grip open to grip a device, or when screwing on a 14 mount. It gets the job done, I just wish there was one made of aluminum instead, or some other more durable material.
Jay –
Very reliable small tripod for multiple use cases. Compact and easy for travel or just to keep tucked in your camera bag. Just the solution I was looking for
Bradley –
I use the PIXI with my Luxli Fiddle. It supports the weight with no problem. Very pleased.
John –
For the most part, it gets the job done. Love the materials used for this tripod. Very solid and strong. The fluid head gets weaker as time goes by which is normal. But still, I wish it had a selftightening mechanism instead of like a reverse locking mechanism that this one has where if you press that red button on the side, its lose, and when you let it go its tightened again. If you plan on using this for lightweight use, you have almost no worries. I bought this to balance my 3axis gimbal. It works, but I probably should get a biggerstronger tripod than this.
Harvardi –
For those who like travelling, apart from Gorilla pod, this minitripod is the one that should be carried along. Very easy set up, and capable of holding a DSLR with lenses like Canon Lseries lenses non prime long telephoto lenses. Extremely good for those who like making timelapses. Ball head is very sturdy and strong.
roddy532 –
Bought this to take on holiday to Rome so if I needed a tripod I could put this on a wall or other platform to support my Nikon D750 and 24124 zoom. There is a certain amount of flex as the components are made from a combination of plastic and metal but its as good as it gets with a mini tripod Used with a remote its fine and certainly stable enough The ball socket head locks well with no slippage I would recommend it
4877christophers –
I wanted a practical yet very compact tripod for my Fuji GFX 50s Yes Medium Format camera. One might ask what on earth do you expect from a mini tripod combined with a medium format camera with a stonking great lens attached Well marvellously, this tripod acutally does the job. Of course, there is a bit of inital give from the tripod legs but this soon settles down and, combined with a 2 or 10 second time delay, the results are as good as it gets. Saves spreading the legs of a large tripod to ground level, for the same result.
rickydoodah –
Having broken a smaller one, I decided to get something I hoped was more robust without adding much weight. I opted for this one because it looks like it would do what I wanted. As it turns out, it is excellent quality, stable for a CSC and standard zoom and very well made. It might struggle with a larger camera and lens, but my Fuji XT1 and 1655 zoom is stable enough. I only got the white because it was 5 cheaper, otherwise black all the way.
Anonymous –
I had the original smaller brother of this tripod which feels beautifully made and sturdy. Unfortunately when I upgraded to a heavier DLSR the head couldnt quite support the weight, hence trading up to the Evo. Its a great little tripod and has a more secure ballhead that easily takes the weight of my 5D Mk2 and medium sized lenses. The legs on the Evo feel less sturdy than on the predecessors not like they might break, but just a step down in quality. Overall it does it exactly what I need it to, it just feels like a stepdown in quality after the original.
Carl –
Great little tripod. I love this tripod I could use it with a small selfie stick and it allows me to use my Insta 360 as a WebCam. What are the things I look for in a Tripod is it once I said it it doesnt move around. Its solid as a rock. Fold into a small space does the job right
jodada –
Great little tripod. I own several, perfect for lights, cameras and phones in tight quarters. Folds into a handle easily, and the ball joint is versatile and solid. Love it.
Anonymous –
This is exactly as advertised. It is small, light and holds my smallmedium sized SLR solidly. I have an Olympus EM5. My biggest lens is a 40150mm f2.8, about as big as it comes in this 43 camera and it holds the lens camera nicely. I will use a remote release to ensure no shake on HDR and High Res photos, and probably on normal photos taken with this so I dont have to lay down on the ground. This is not the same a a bigger, more expensive full sized tripod, but it seems just right for travel, allowing me to do some things I couldnt otherwise do without carrying a full sized tripod.
Travis –
I have seen a lot of vloggers use these and I know why. It is perfect, for like a lot. It folds down to a great selfie handle for an iPhone or my FujiFilm XT3, but it is also perfect to mount my second desk cam on for a different angle for a professionally produced live stream. At this price it is a musthave for every camera bag.
Franklin –
This mini tripod does everything I expected of it, especially the option for landscape or portrait orientation. Solid, sturdy build. Very happy with it.
Sebastian –
I have an IPhone 11 with a case on it, the clamp is just big enough to fit my phone. I feel it is a little tight but it does fit and works perfectly. The joint on which the phone rests can be a little stiff sometimes but the more you use it, the more itll loose up. I just wish the legs were a little bit taller but other than that, its a great stand. I love the material.
Andy –
Working from home during the COVID19 pandemic means a lot teleconferences. I use this tripod to hold a mobile phone so I dont have to carry the phone around. The adjustable legs and mounting ball make this a versatile tripod on the desk.
Nic H. –
Great product. Great price.Needed a small tripod for close camera videos. This is ideal.Wide base for stability. Spherical ball head gives full freedom of movement for fine tuning. Build quality and design are both topnotch.
John –
Its bigger than youd think, which turns out to be a good thing, giving it just the right footprint to hold a decentsized body with a decentsized prime or midzoom attached, without toppling over. It feels a bit plasticky at first, but that betrays its utility. Nice ball head grip, and the screw dial works well. Perfect for mmmm … should I take a tripod kind of travel.
Menachem –
Works great, as everyone says, can support a LOT. The only tiny improvement I would have seen is if the legs would go a little more flat, to make the spread wider for better support. I know that the EVO 2 has the feature, but it would have been nice if they would have already put it into this model.I use it for time lapses with the Osmo Mobile 2, and its a great pair. Colors also match nicely.
Dean –
Its my 2nd purchase and this time its for my close friend, whos pursuing photography professionally.Id purchased my 1st Pixi 2 to replace the original I love the original Pixis form factor but hoped itd allowed me to do portrait orientation and the option to set the legs flat. Manfrotto mustve read my mind.Ive been using the Pixi 2 for about 4 months and its been reliable and is much more versatile.Notes The Pixi 2 feels more flimsy than the original still equally reliable and the camera axis mount release is screwtypeno longer the original buttontype. It is also about 14 larger than the orignal Pixi.
Edward –
Great little tripod but universal smartphone clamp, clever as it was, pivoting stand broke in half first time I used it. Contacting BH for replacement or return.
Michael –
Works well for macro shots. That said, Id love to compare this to a gorilla pod tripod. I suspect the gorilla pod would be a little more versatile.

I have some cheap not Manfrotto versions of this kind of device but this one is much better. Easy to adjust and holds tight. Collapse the legs and it makes a great handle for handheld video work.

Basically, I buy products online after going through lots of reviews. Manfrotto Pixie Evo is highly recommended everywhere. I have bitter experience with my purchase, as I dont like the sturdiness of the product I bought here its kind of shaky and doesnt look brand new. Moreover, I chose this product being its inexpensive and for best the reviews online, but I need to spend 20 of its cost, if I had to return to cameraNU.nl. I will go with some direct store next time
Valerie –
Quite happy with the purchase. It was promptly shipped. Easy to carry due to light weight, attach, remove, rotate. Fits inside a standard waist pack.
JamesD489 –
Manfrotto made in Italy well designed there anyway… sitting in my cupboard as its next to useless, replaced it with a SmallRig which makes this look like garbage. i have most of the mini tripods available including joby, shure etc this on e looks nice however just slips constantly. just rubbish
Matt –
These little Manfrotto tripods are great. Quick to set up a camera. Very sturdy, yet portable enough to slip in your back pocket. So simple to use.We use 2 in the livestreaming of our church services with little Mevo cameras. We can put them anywhere on the platform in a matter of seconds.
John –
I dont have need for a small tripod very often, but this tripod is extremely well made and offers a tremendous amount of versatility along with simplicity and speed in making adjustments. Great to have in my camera bag.

I shoot stills and video on both a DSLR and a larger prosumer video camera. Im quite happy with my decision to get a tripod and fluid head that favor video over still photography. Its much easier to shoot stills on a fluid head than video on a tripod designed for photography. While it does not permit head rotation for portraitoriented photos, it handles everything else very well. The head moves smoothly for panning and tilting shots and it feels very stable with both of my cameras. I like the floorlevel stabilizer, though it feels a little cheaper than the rest of the system. Like others have mentioned, the level is placed awkwardly but I havent found it to be too inconvenient yet. I would recommend this tripod for those looking for a fluid head tripod who dont want to break the bank.
CLIVE –
A flexible design but the problem with this tripod is that the legs do not lock solidly into place. I have an old Manfrotto mini tripod which is simpler solid. Save a few bucks you are probably better off with the cheaper, nonextending version.
Marc –
I bought this Manfrotto mini tripod for my recently purchased GoPro H9. I have two other Manfrotto tripods and really like their products robustness and design this one is no exception. Welldesigned, very compact and lightweight. Perfect for usage with GoPro, probably with a more regular DSLR although I would be careful in putting my heavy 1DX mk2 or 5DSR with their bulky L lenses on such tripod. It is no complain about the tripod but just common sense if you look at center of gravity and mass distribution. Here the legs can be conveniently extended, the ball works well although quite basic but works well. The plate can receive adaptors for either the GoPro or the Manfrotto 200PL or Arcaswiss systems.I honestly could have put 5, but did not want to oversell it while I have no idea of longterm life of such lightweight but apparently robust tripod. Having compared to several other products, I recommend this product as well as ordering at BH.

Great little handy portable item. It surprisingly solidly supports a Canon Mark III full frame camera with a 1635mm III USM zoom. Strong and simple to use. Have also used this with the correct brackets to hold strobes flashes. Rubber feet help with slipping on non level surface. One of my most used items. On another note, here is a gentle warning concerning purchasing this item or any others. At the time I placed some of my purchases, there were 4 rewards offered. This is 1 of the reasons Ive made some purchases. Upon waiting the allocated amount of time without receiving the 4 rewards, I reach out them via chat and phone only to be told these purchases do not qualify. Im very disheartened that this was not resolved in an honest mater since I am certain it was listed on the website during checkout. Ive done a price comparison at 3 different stores comparing the items Ive purchased since the beginning of the year and all are about the same price. I will unfortunately start looking elsewhere for my purchasing needs due to this dishonest practice. So this may be one of my last few reviews of some products Ive purchased here. Take care and keep shooting

I was really excited to receive my PIXI mini tripod and was not disappointed. Its construction is robust and it feels well made. Its design is really compact and it supports my DSLR with kit lens. The only drawback is the stiffness of the release button for the adjustable ball joint.
David –
I have many tripods, quite a few of which are made by Manfrotto that I like very much. I was attracted to the PIXI Evo 2 mainly because it has a slot in the ball head that allows you to rotate the camera to portrait mode, which the standard PIxi which I have and like cannot do. First of all, this tripod is rather large for a table top tripod, being substantially chunkier than the standard Pixi. This extra bulk doesnt really provide much more capability, but does provide a stronger ball head than the Pixi to accomodate a larger camera. But the real weakness of this tripod are the legs. They can extend a few inches, but this feature comes at the price of stability. The leg extensions are fairly flexible plastic, and they are not attached firmly to the metal part of the legs, which makes the whole assembly springy and loose. This is combined with a two position leg angle stop that is made of plastic, which adds to the springiness of the whole tripod. When I mounted my camera and gently pushed down on it, the whole thing compressed like a spring and bounced back up when I released it. I often use a table top tripod where a normal tripod is not allowed, but pushing it against a convenient wall for a long exposure, and this tripod is just too flexible for that. I ended up returning it and I suggest you avoid it.

Sometimes bringing a proper tripod is not possible. This device will enable you to make night shots and group selfies with a small camera. It is small enough to fit in a coat pocket and easy to bring for city night shots or on a hiking trip. The ball head is released with a single push button. It appears to be manufactured in a durable plastic. It can also function as a handle.
John –
I needed a small tripod for two purposes. 1. to attach a LumeCube for when Im at my desk in front of a WebCam, and 2. for landscape pictures, where I have learned that especially for wide angle getting low to the ground can really help with composition.Chose this product because my main tripod is Manfrotto and I totally love it.Build quality… well it doesnt have that solid rigidity that feels so reassuring in a regular tripod, but it is lightweight 9.4oz 267g. The leg spars and ball are aluminum pretty much everything else is plastic. Folded in your bag it is about 9 23cm long and 2.5 6.5cm at its widest point. I tend to stow it with the ball head at 90 which saves about 1 2.5cm in length. The ball head isnt silky smooth but does tighten securely. Legs extend at two angles and two lengths. Standard position, the legs splay out so the mount is approx. 6 15cm off the ground. Flip a lever and the legs splay out further so your camera is now 2 closer to the ground, and on a much wider base for increased stability. There are no lockable intermediate positions. However, each leg can be extended an extra 2 5cm in five lockable steps, increasing height of the mount to a maximum of 7.5 19cm.Maximum rated weight is 5.5lb 2.5kg. Loaded with my heaviest bodylens combo which comes in at 4.2lb 1.9kg it feels acceptably stable. If theres any wobble it seems to come from between the ball and mount. Long exposures on a windy day might be challenging with hefty gear.Overall Im happy and feel like I got good value. This mini tripods light weight means I dont have to think too hard about including it in my bag for a day out.

This unit is very well designed and made. It fits a variety of phones, we have several brands and sizes in our house and everyone wanted to try this little clamp out Having two tripod threads, vertical and horizontal works for video and stills. The little stand on the back is good when you want to use for chats. Overall a simple well thought out piece. Thank you Manfrotto and JB HIFI.
Daniel –
Excellent portability and ease of use. This tripod is intuitive and works with many cameras. Great for stabilization on elevated surfaces or anywhere if photographing close to the surfaceground.
HansomeChris –
More adjustable than initially thought, it securely held my S10 iinside its case with no issues or complaints.Multiple positions to attach to the tripod head, a solid investment for any recording or photography you may want to do with your phone
Justin –
This is a solid tripod with a smooth fluid head. The latches feel sturdy. The head is the highlight of the set. Adjustable pan tension is very nice. Spot on for the price.
Eric –
Excellent piece of gear sturdy, flexible and easy to use. Manfrotto designed this desktop tripod to sit flat on the table, regular height or extended height. This little tripod just works
Johannes –
Manfrotto understands design in its truest form. Their big tripods are miracles of efficiency. Theyre famous for strict adherence to the form follows functionphilosophy. Youd think a humble table tripod wouldnt have too much room for improvement. But just like a big Manfrotto, this little thing is so well thought out and built that it exceeds expectations. The little ball head gives you all the flexibility thats reasonable to expect. The pushbutton is easy to release, yet holds on firmly to keep even a medium sized SLR in balance. Works great for LED lights, too The spread of the legs is ideal for providing stability with a small footprint. The material is sturdy. Fold up the legs and you have a ergonomic, sturdy pistol grip for shooting hand held video. Ive had one for years, it held up well, and I just ordered another one. The price is absolutely fair.
Madhu –
Always in my camera bag. Not for a full size Nikon D810, but a cropsensor body with small lens can be used. I also got the phone clamp, so it is mostly used for that. One has to realize that this is not meant to be a replacement for your sturdy tripod. So, keep your expectations realistic. The design factor is absolutely better than anything comparable I dont like the odd beady legged ones.
Daniel –
The Manfrotto minnie is an absolute essential for any hobbyist or professional photographer or videographer who doesnt want to miss a shot. I take it everywhere I go and it allows you to catch so many different angles. Whether its a time lapse, photograph or video this device helps you execute flawlessly. Put it on top of your roof, on the ground, or even hold it steady in your hand. The possibilities are endless. This is actually the third one that Ive purchased and Ive also giving some out as gifts to great friends.Thank you B H for providing great service all the way around and getting this product safely to my door. Im a customer for life
David –
I am in the process of creating some corporate training videos so I needed a small tripod to hold a small video camera while Im doing the talking head thing. I already have a Manfrotto tripod for my camera, and its great quality, so this onethats small and compact and a great pricewas a no brainer. After I received it, I was really, really impressed with its quality. This is very well made and easy to use. I recommend it without hesitation.
Matthew –
Works just great. I love using it. Great for the price. One can imagine the mechanism for locking the head in position getting loose over time, but if I got two years of moreorless daily use out of this thing, Id be very satisfied. Perfect for holding something like a mirrorless on the desk for Zooming, streaming, podcasting, etc.
Richard –
Havent done any filming yet but it seems to grip satisfactorily on to my wifes iPhone which is the general idea. Seemed the logical choice since I already had a couple of Manfrotto tripods. You cant go far wrong with the make.
John –
Pros Simple to use as grip for video recording or excellent tripod for long photo exposures. Extremely well manufactured
Jay –
This is a sturdy, easily adjustable smart phone and camera holder that makes video auditions and still photography with a remote trigger an essential part of your creative gear. Ive used other cheaper plastic versions but upgraded to this affordable tripod. Perfect for use at home or on the road. I am very happy with it and would but it again. Truthfully, all my Manfrotto gear has been excellent.
George –
I needed a small and sturdy tripod for my mirrorless camera that I could carry in my camera bag. The PIXI Mini Table Top tripod is well made and surprisingly very strong. I would recommend this to anyone needing a small tripod for shooting from a table top or similar surface.
Les –
Compact can be used as hand grip when closed, excellent adjustments spring loaded push button, strong would hold most optics, keep one in your bag always. First class company to deal with quick delivery competitive price.
flemming4486 –
Overall Im quite pleased. Ive recently moved to a mirrorless system and work mainly with Prime lenses. Stability, small size and portability are my main requirements. This is about half the size and a quarter the weight of my Gorillapod. The ball head seems very secure as you would expect form Manfrotto. The legs have a metal core that attaches to the ball head and these seem quite strong. Outside that core is a plastic sleeve that provides the length adjustment. While it is plastic, it seems robust. I think it will old up well over time.
rob9164robert –
Manfrotto make very good stuff and this mini tripod with smartphone clamp is no exception. Its very stable and makes an excellent handgrip to take steady photos. The clamp part is good and the slider mechanism is very smooth. I use it to support my Nokia n8 and its great. I bought a cheap 5 tripod and clamp, but the quality of the Manfrotto is 10x better. Its worth the money, go and buy it
Brian –
I use this mainly for my GoPro. its got a good weight and is made of good solid material. Its not prone to breakage easily. Ive made timelapses with the GoPro mounted on this little tripod on windy days and found out that the stability of this tripod is solid. No shakes. No jerks. when folded, it acts like a very nice handle.
Mauricio –
You get what you pay. For the price its ok I guess. It feels cheap, and noisy since the legs have a ticking noise every time you walk, just annoying. The materials seems like van break at any time.
Jerry –
Went through several solutions to mount my Zoom F8 so I could use it in the studio. All failed until I tried this little desktop tripod. Typical high quality well built Manfrotto product. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Very sturdy, well made desktop tripod. Theres a cheaper version but it is rated at just over 2lbs capacity. This one will hold 5.5 lbs. Very pleased with this purchase.
Roy –
This is Manfrotto quality in a surprisinglysmall and affordable design. Ive always preferred a Manfrotto tripod and head for fluid, clientcritical video. But when I realized that I needed an ultrasmall, ultralowprofile stationary solution toput a relatively heavy 5pound teleprompter just a few inches above the top of a desk, I never expected Manfrotto to showup in the BH search, but Im glad it did. Its been installed on thatdesk for two weeks now, and the prompter mount remains rocksolid with no slippage i.e., no vertical or horizontal lines in the background going askew in the frame. Depending on your requirements, note that this version is rated for 5 pounds, while there is also a lessexpensive version about half the price, but still Manfrotto rated at 2 pounds. Thanks to Manfrotto and BH for keepingup with their customers evolving needs
Fran –
Pros I put this out every night to watch our resident wild hedgehogs. It holds the wildlife camera at the right height off the ground. It is sturdy enough not to be knocked over by the neighbourhood cats and is used as a perch by the early morning blackbirdCons No
CWS –
This little tripod folds up to be just nine and a quarter inches long, yet will easily hold my Canon 80D with a 55250 mm lens, which in total weighs about two and half pounds. Opened up, it stands six and half inches high and can be up to eight inches with the legs extended all the way.Very secure support and easily carried, even in an old lens bag actually, I carry two of these, one of an offcamera flash support. This little Manfrotto is a great addition, offering both good support and excellent pointability with its fullmovement ball head. Thanks Manfrotto and to Adorama for its excellent service and shipping
Ronald –
Of course Manfrotto sets a gold standard for its equipment, and this is the same. Well made with a solid locking head that pivots. It is compact, light weight, and it does the job well.
Davetta –
This small tripod is made out of a hard plastic, but its lightweight enough to use as a small selfie stick, and small enough to fit in your backpack. Im only taking one point off because it doesnt have a level on it to let you know if you are level with the horizon, and also because you cant adjust the height enough. You only get two positions of height, all the way down and all the way up with a sliding lever on the side of the tripod. Try to adjust it anywhere between those two points and you lose sturdiness.
Amir –
This is by fats the best phone mini tripod. As might as well stop searching and purchase this one. Everything about it is incredible. From durability to design and flexibility is second to none.
Steve –
I use it for a small projector that travels with me for business. It replaced the stock piece of junk that came with the projector. Very sturdy for the projector. I have zero fear it will tip over. The push button on it is awesome well made, easy to use, a huge improvement from the stock tripod. I bought the black colored one as well. Both are great.
waverunner1 –
I have not had the opportunity to test it out in the field but from first impressions the unit is light weight but solidly built. Adjustment is very quick and simply, which is exactly what is needed in the heat of the moment. Since many of the videos that I create are in an office it is great to have a tripod which can be sat upon the desk without taking up space and yet still holding the camera steady. Certainly I would recommend this product to anybody interested in compact tripods
Zachary H. –
Great build quality and look. Angle is easy to adjust without having to fiddle with screws to tighten it. Sadly is not compatible with my Rode mic but will fit any DSLR camera easy.
edwiferg –
I just love this minitripod. It works wonderfully, is very easy to use, is nice and compact and performs great just as one might expect from Manfrotto.
Robert –
Pros Brilliant, strong, sturdy, well designed, compact, robust, a great little tripod, little being its key feature, it looks bigger in the photos.Cons It was smaller than I expected, but it really does its job very well so I didnt mind as much. The nob to release the positioning ball is very stiff, stiffer than it needs to be, it costs a little more than I would have paid if I was able to see it in the flesh before buying it.
Darren –
Pros Manfrotto are never cheap but always worth the cost. This 682B monopod was bought for me for Christmas by my fiancee and I love it. Its an invaluable piece of mobile kit, made even more useful by the three legs that are oh so neatly screwed into the bottom section. Simple but very effective. I am only a keen amateur but spend a lot of time on the bikes flying around the country looking for the next shot and the Manfrotto 682B, although neither the smallest or lightest of the range straps easily to my touring bike, easier than my tripod would. Great for aviation shows, racing of any kind, wildlife etc etc etc. The list goes on. I use a Canon 7D camera, superb camera and the monopod is quite capable of taking the weight of the camera and medium lens when on the lowest setting. Useful for when the camera is not in urgent use. I could go on but I wont. The Manfrotto 682B monopod is a beautifully made, well thought out camera support that I wouldnt be without. I hope you find this short review helpful.Cons Cost, I really cant think of any bad points other than that.
David –
Ive only used it a few times since I got it only a few days ago, but this is an awesome little tripod. Easy to screw the camera to it, and very stable, even with the weight of my Nikon Coolpix P900 about 0.9kg. Love the portrait slot, which works equally well for pointing the camera at the sky. Nice and light, and folds up to a compact unit.
Antonio –
I am a fan of Manfrotto products. Have many of their products, from tripods, fluid heads, to backpacks. So it hurts me to write this review. On the second use this mini tripod, the threading screw broke when unscrewing from camera. I didnt immediately notice, until I saw a circular object on floor that turned out to be the piece on the head that you use your thumb to loosentighten. On examining, I realized the screw was gone. I looked all around and could not find it. I did find a small micro locking washer that appears to secure the circle thumb tightener to screw. Looking down into the tripod, it certainly appears that the screw broke off and left a piece inside. I contacted warranty from Manfrotto and still not have received a reply. Hopefully B and H will honor my return, but I am not quite sure if I want to gamble on this unit again. When I first saw the unit on display at B and Hs NYC store, it was flimsy, nothing locked in placed and it overall didnt operate correctly. I rationalized this was just a floor model that has been beaten up by visitors. Im now on the side that it is an issue of product quality. The tripod says Designed in Italy but Made in China underneath. I think the Chinese factory conned Manfrotto with low quality parts, particularly the screw in the head that affixes to cameralight. This important piece simply broke in half. It could be that I received a bad item, as some other readers say its great. But there are 2 reviews that also complain about the micro locking washer and screw. I do like the product when it worked for almost 2 days, but it is useless with a broken screw. I do have another Manfrotto mini tripod, the standard pixi, and that thing works great and taken a gentle beating. But this one, that seems more industrious, broke on day 2. Hopefully its not a widespread issue.
stuarrushwort8 –
Handy little tripod.,i use it as a hand held support as it is shown on the packaging, though I only do stills. My camera is a Fuji X. Would not recommend for DSLRs. Very useful within its tolerences.
Dennis Z. –
This is a really great product The legs are adjustable and the Ball Head makes it real easy to move the camera. It actually held up my Canon 7DMII with a Sigma 18300mm lens, with the lens extended all the way out Its a strong little Tripod. Would recommend it highly for use in Low Light and either on a Table or low on the Floor. Very easy to use. Love itDennis
Alun –
Pros Using with th an slr, great with standard lens, just manages a medium lens. Fits in compact camera bag, which is a big plus as I always have it with me without lumbering big bag.Cons Not really, its not meant for big lenses. You need a proper tripod for those.
Lauro –
wonderful tripod. I am a biased fan of Manfrotto, all tripods and heads are Manfrottothis little kicker works well with my small webcam. great pod
Kevin –
Ive been a huge fan of these Manfrotto Mini tripods for several years. They are essential for getting down low without having to set the camera on the ground, or for quick setups in the field on odd surfaces like a park bench or a tree stump… Also doubles as a great pistolgrip style device when you fold the legs in and shoot handheld.
Filmmakr8505 –
I have been aware of Manfrotto for many years, when I began to take photography more seriously in the last couple of years. I wanted a traditional tripod at first, but my budget didnt allow me to purchase one at the time. Upon watching Tech YouTuber David DiFranco featuring the PIXI Mini in one of his video blogs, I became intrigued due to its price and functionality. Seeing how he was able to easily adjust and attach his PIXI Mini to his various cameras, I decided to pull the trigger on the purchase. In the time I have used the tripod, I have been impressed by its portability and ease of use. It is my first ballhead tripod, so having the ability to adjust the angle on the fly with just a push of a button has been a welcome change. The one caveat that I do have is that I wish it were a bit taller in terms of height. That little gripe is not a deal breaker since I plan to buy another one for my mirrorless camera. Overall, I recommend the Manfrotto PIXI Mini for the amateur and professional photographer.
ofl69 –
I have been looking at this tripod for a couple of weeks now and even though I could get it at my local camera shop I decided to go for an online shop which enabled me to purchase it for just less than 5 cheaper, plus free shipping. The tripod is extremely well made, it carries some weight so even if you attach a very light camera its not going to move around on your desk. Ive got a Panasonic Lumix TZ90 attached to it at the moment and its very stable indeed. I am even able to use the buttons and touch screen without having to hold the whole thing stable with my other hand. This is a really great tripod that I would recommend if you are looking for something for your desk. It will also take cameras like the GoPro.
Anonymous –
I love the 502HD fluid head. Its easy to use and very smooth. This tripod leg combo is nice too, since its perfect and stable for most situations where the ground is flat. Also, the carrying bag is great I love it more than Manfrottos normal tripod bags. I wish they carried it for individual sale, because I would buy more of these bags separately
Martin –
I have a tripod and monopod with a Manfrotto head, but I recently bought a small travel camera I usually take a DSLR, and wanted a tripod for it. The Manfrotto mini tripod fits the bill, at a good price. Ordering online was easy, and delivery was prompt.
Michael R. –
The tripod legs are good, but could do with some padding. easily fixed with some handlebar tape. The 3W head is horrible. One lever creaks when you tighten it and that axis suffers with a stiction problem making smooth movement almost impossible. Ok for fixed use for camera but pretty hopeless for panning where you need some vertical movement with a telescope. I bought a replacement head, made out of metal which works fine.
KFLondon –
Great design. Use mine primarily for holding the phone whilst working at a desk so I dont need to keep picking it up. Easy to rotate and adjust the position. Tripod very well made albeit for lighter objects.
craig.scott –
Whilst most of my cameras are MidSize DSLRs I wanted something I could easily carry around to do some close up photography. After a thorough search I came across the Manfrotto PIXE Mini Table Top Tripod. When I first received the package I couldnt believe how small it was and thought to myself that maybe I had been duped into buying something completely worthless. However on opening the package and viewing the quality build I immediately changed my position. Attaching my Canon EOS 350D with a macro lens was easy and I was most impressed with how firmly this tripod held up my camera. Notably I would not recommend using this tripod with a battery grip attached as itll likely topple over with the added weight. Final Thoughts If youre using a point and shoot like the Canon S110 or smaller or even a compact DSLR such as the 350D or above without the use of a battery grip this sturdily little tripod can be a worthy addition to your arsenal. Highly Recommended
Jon –
I was a little surprised how large it was when it arrived. My GoPro looks silly sitting on it, but it does a good job holding my DSLR. The ball head is solid and it holds my DSLR well, even with a giant 150600mm lens on it. My only complaint would be that the
Samuel –
When I first opened mine, pushing the button was difficult and the moving of the ball head was also pretty difficult. Eventually it was easier to move but the button remains difficult to press. Im not sure if they are all like this, but if so Its kind a bad design. It definitely hold the camera very tight, so I will still use it a lot.
Maury –
If you are looking for a mini tripod this is it. Sturdy but light weight and well designed. Love it and comes with a good price also.
Mark –
I use this for my iPhone Xs, as well as a few small mirrorless cameras. Its great for vlogging, for webcams, and is also great as a stabilizer for your iPhone as you gives you a great handle. And since its Manfrotto, you know its made to last. Very reasonablypriced too
Jaime –
I like this tripod for its portability. Kinda wish I went with something more durable, such as the Small Rig, but then there is the weight difference. Just dont throw heavy lenses on it and youll be happy.
Woolworths Metro –
Bought this four weeks ago and does what you need it to do. Easy to attach onto a tripod and adjust to landscape or portrait setting. The clamp is very secured too secured that its tight and needs an easier to pull finger mold, hence only 4 stars. Still highly recommend for its purpose and value
Guo –
Honestly, it far exceeds my expectations. Its made out of a mix between metal and plastic, all the critical components are metal, and it feels very solid for the price. The ball head is decent for supporting small cameras.
Mike –
I bought this at the BH superstore in Manhattan recently, as I didnt bring a tripod along on our trip and found myself constantly setting the camera on a ledge or table etc to get a shot with a slow shutter. So this was laying out on a samples table with many other small ones. It is substantial, sturdy, and well built. It also benefits from simple design and function ie not too many levers and buttons. On my first trip out with it I also found that it sort of doubles as a handle for the camera. That is, when just walking around, I fixed it to the camera and just held the tripod legs together with the camera atop.
Kenneth –
I originally bought this to shoot cars from very low to the ground. And, while it really was great for that purpose, Ive ultimately found it extremely beneficial for product photographs when you want to get up close to an item on a tableplatform using a 50mm prime lens. You can spread the legs on this and get your lens about 3 inches off the surface. And, with the ball head, you can really get some great low angle composition.I strongly recommend this item.
Vanja –
Never used any other tripod of this type so I have nothing to conpare with, but regarding this one alone, I can say it is very lightweight, very easy to use and set up for a quick shot and in the end, once I put it on a camera and expect I might use it again soon, I dont even take it off but use it to hold my camera in hand. It is very handy for that. I tested it with a crop sensor mirrorless camera and 18105 lens and it has no problem with it. I am pretty sure it holds dslr as well just not sure how long of a lens
nick –
The legs of this tripod are sturdy enough to support my A7II 50mm, the ball head is decent but doesnt have the friction adjustment like full sized tripod ball head does. My main problem is that Ive used it about three or four times before it broke. The failure is the little clip washer that holds the screwnut in place against the tightening wheel or whatever you want to call it. It should be a pretty easy fitting to replace from the hardware store. I guess I am feeling a little burnt by Manfrotto, I had always considered them to have quality products that they stood behind, however when I contacted their repair depot in Canada, they said tough luck, you bought this in the US. We cant help you. When I contacted BH they werent able to help because I was a few DAYS outside of their return period. I have yet to hear back from Manfrotto in the US. Youd probably be better off with another brand, or the original Pixie that many other reviews suggest as a better alternative.
Robert W –
Pretty much what I expected and worked well with my compact digital cameras. I havent tried it with mirrorless or dSLR but think it would it would be ok with a small lens but not one that is long and heavy. One thing I notice is that the legs are sort of loose. There may be screws for adjusting but I havent looked yet.
Cassandra –
Full disclosure Ive only had the Pixi Evo 2 for a couple of weeks. I had my eye on it for some time and saw there was a great deal on it during the black Friday sales.I like that the legs telescope and you have quite a bit of height adjustment for how small the tripod is.Thus far I have used it for handheld vlogging, for table top use, and as a small light stand. It has worked well and like that its so compact that I can toss it on the side of my small camera backpack with no issue.I docked it one point because Im not super jazzed on how the thread on head works for mounting. It would be nice to have a plate system possibly, but could see how that would be a more complicated design and probably push the price up on the product.

I bought this to use with my zoom calls both at home and in the office, and have found it to be perfect I love that I can both place it on a table, or walk around with it its truly a great, versatile, quality, easy to use product. I also appreciate the way BH made it easy to purchase the item. I placed the order online and a few hours later was able to pickitup instore. The store was wellstaffed, the representative was helpful, and the shopping experience was both expedient safe in the age of COVID. Really great product by Manfrotto and job by B H.

I have botht he original Pixi and this one. On paper, this one is superior extendable legs, lowprofile setting, higher load capacity, improved screw mount platform. Unfortunately, the lever mechanism that allows stting the legs at two different angles reduces the stability of the tripod it flexes much more than the original Pixi. The screwtype tension knob on the ballhead, while allowing higher loads, is significantly less convenient than the pushtype springdriven one on the basic Pixi. on the plus side the extendable legs work, and are quite sturdy, but as a total package the Pixi Evo is not as good as the original Pixi, despite costing twice as much.

Very stylish and functional…. but going though the actions right out of the box the black styrene locking lever snapped off….. I feel it is due to a hole in the lever weakening the structureintegrity of the plastic…. needs to be improved slightly

I really like this mini tripod. Its handy to keep in my camera bag. It can work on uneven ground, car hoods and I have even held it on the rolled down car window to stabilize my camera. Its feels sturdy Ive dropped it and the adjustments are simple to use.
Steve –
It holds my EOS D80 sturdily. The leg extensions seem designed more for stability than height adjustment but that also makes it compact for packing. Dont know why the red is more economical than the black, but it suits my taste as well as my budget.

Tripod is ok but design is limited. I like the button locking mechanism, it positions my device firmly in place. The tripod is sturdy but only when legs are fully exended based on the way the rubber supports are positioned. Adjusting to any other height using the legs, however, is not recommended as it will easily topple over. Regardless, I still like it and I have learnt to workaround the flaws as it is a handy little tripod to keep in my handbag.

I like this tripod, but it would be better if it had a quick release plate like their other tripods. If you have a professional DSLR and long lens, it wont hold the weight. It works OK if you dont have a huge lens or really heavy DSLR. It is good as a portable microphone stand. However, you have going to have to buy a thead adapter. This thread is smaller than what my Rode VideoMic has and neither Manfrotto or Rode supply an adapter anymore.

This tripod lacks the rigidity necessary to be an effective camera support for anything beyond a point n shoot or small micro 43 camera. There is way too much flex in the legs, even when not extended at all. The ball head is decent it will hold the weight as advertised, and the recessed thumbwheel is a good design feature. But the leg system lacks so much mechanical rigidity, they act like a minitrampoline and flex significantly when weight is applied to the ball head. The problem only increases when the legs are extended out. I was hoping to be able to use it for low height macro photography, but the limitations of this tripod preclude its use for any DSLR applications. Too bad this is a clever and attractive design, but fails where it counts…

This is a solid little table top tripod. The push button ball head allows you to use one hand to release the head and the other to adjust the camera position. When the legs are folded up it works as a handle for video work. Like all the Manfrotto products I have used it functions well, is well made and at a reasonable price. I expect this tripod will do its job for years to come. It has no fancy abilities, you cannot tie it around a tree. It is a proper functunal tool that any photographer can get good results from. Unfortunately I don think the one I have was made in Italy. Definitely not just a toy.

I use this Manfrotto PIXI EVO Tripod as an everyday carry around tripod. Its always handy if I need more stability when taking a shot and its easy to carry around
Stephanie –
It can stand like a tripod and the legs extend so it can go higher up or the legs extend flat for tabletop. You can use it as a mono pod as well Holds my T5i with kit lens and G7X Mark III for vlogs. The head is a ball type which is great to move the camera around. Really awesome little tripod

Doesnt hold my Panasonic Lumix GH4. Camera falls over with no support. Probably better for smaller lighter cameras.

I had another cell phone mini tripod which broke after 6 months use. The articulated leg snapped off completely. This new Manfrotto PIXI Smart Tripod with Universal Smartphone Clamp is great. Although the height is set and not adjustable the tripod is solid. The clamp is extremely tight. The ball head is perfect being adjustable in every axis. I highly recommend this cell phone tripod. Only slight complaint would be a model that had adjustable legs to increase height.

This tiny tripod is amazing. Very sturdy, and doubles as a grip if you want to be a stereotypical vlogger not like there is anything wrong with that. I love it and personally got it to replace my gorilla pod. Only downside is there isnt a leveler gauge to see if the head is level.

I love this little tripod. When my sons friend decided to play with it and then lost it, I decided to go and buy a new one. I had been looking for it for 2 weeks and literally the day I bought the replacement, I found the old one buried in the toy box. Im not mad. I am so happy to have 2Actually, the replacement was the evo version, which I thought would be an upgrade. The evo is definitely better for a heavier camera, but it is bigger and bulkier. I prefer the push button adjustment on the pixi mini because it is so quick and easy. Most of the time I grab the mini.

The black plastic wheel on the screw is extremely difficult to move its supposed to loosen the ball atop the legs so you can set your phone camera at different angles. In response to an inquiry about this, Manfrotto said …if it does not tighten loosen, we suggest returning it to point of purchase. Back to YOU, BH…

I use it to mount a Sony rx100 m7 housed in a Smallrig cage. Its pretty compact and lightweight, but still feels durable and secure. The tripod can easily fit in a small bag or something the size of a fanny pack. Each leg can be adjusted individually in length, but there are only 2 main height settings one as seen in the listed picture, and the other where the legs lie almost completely flat on top of whatever surface you have it on. While holding the tripod in your hand as an extension the camera fits tightly around the 14 thread base while the adjustable pivot ball is tightened securely at any angle, so there is no camera movement from any part of the base and you can grasp the legs comfortably for a sturdy shot.Note that this is not an electrical gimbletype of holder. It does not have auxiliary camera function buttons, so you will have to manage the camera functions from the camera itself.

I had the original Manfrotto Pixi Tripod and really liked it. I had recently upgraded my DSLR to a Nikon D7200 so needed something with a little more weight. I really like th design of this little tripod and it can just about handle the D7200 with a Tamron 1755mm lens. The ability to change the height is a great addition and allows you to get some really low shots, or just lower the centre of gravity to make a heavier setup up slightly more stable. The small size means that I carry it wherever I take my camera as it easily fits into my shoulder bag. Perfect if youre out and about in a city or carrying less gear and dont want to lug a full size tripod around. The best bit about this bit of kit though is the adaptability, you can use it to mount your phone while youre having a videocall, or mount a gopro for some timelapse, use it as an extra hand for off camera flash or holding a light.

A handy, sturdy little tripod which has a very stable platform to mount your expensive camera. Somewhat adjustable for height but very useful for low shots or for table top mounting a camera for a video blog. The ball socket is very necessary and….well the whole thing is just cute

Love this I bought this before I got a full sized tripod which I also got a manfrotto one. This is awesome to set in a table and get some family pictures thats what I used it for but it would also be great to shoot nature shots or landscapes to keep it stabilized. Definitely a great buy at a great price.

Good morningJust a quick message to say this little tripod is a gem,I like to take low level photos. It will support SLRs and micro 43 cameras. You wont be disappointed

Have always used Manfrottos tripod for still image and video. Many professionalgrade carbon fibre options that many would argue are better, but for hobbyist this offers good enough performance without breaking the bank.

excellent…easy to use, but a bit heavy to carry as a separate occasional item. i will find a tube bag with sling strap etc. Although the legs are useful, they rattle in the tube when carrying, but sorted with a little tape around them. if using with a chair, its like a tripod, and you can let go. but as a high monopod, im 6ft 1in, and it goes to eye level with dslr then, its not the most useful feature. legs but its thick profile, and rubberised top part, means its grippable. and not cold feeling… It has strong clamps, for confidence. and best for me, is the undo and drop down action, not needed to shakepull etc, not easy with a camera on top. only thing i would like is a little swivel three footed base, which i might add one day. to stop it sinking in soft mud. i got a good deal, with a jessops ballhead on mine. all for 50 but i would say i got a good deal on just the pod alone,at 50 ….its very strong. looks pro too. i use mine with a frotto 222 swivel head. which adds to the weight and gives me another 6 inches, for standing on steep banks. in crowds 1010

The Manfrotto mini tripod is the perfect size to throw in the backpack for a day hike. It holds a smartphone for that perfect group selfie. No worries about it collapsing like the other flimsy types. Recommended.

I wanted to shoot video with my phone. I have 30 years experience in the film and video production business so I was picky. I purchased 2 or 3 holders that I didnt like. This Manfrotto was the winner. Works great. Folds up for nice hand holding and has rotating lock head for quick leveling as a tripod.
Susan –
I bought this as a gift for my son for Christmas. Hoping it will work. I was disappointed in the packaging. It was torn and bent up. It looked used. I looked at the product, it looked okay, hopefully it will work.

I have four of these now. I use them for webcams, Zoom lightning, plus great for storm chasing and shooting extended exposure scenic photos. Im all about these You wont be dissatisfied.

Manfrotto always has the highest quality products at a reasonable price point. However, this one got overlooked, in my opinion. Its great if you always want to mount something at one or two low levels. But I was expecting that the legs would have some kind of adjustment for the spread, but they dont. So the reader should be aware, the leg spread opens to one position or opens all the way. Also, I wish it had a small bubble level builtin.Otherwise, the entire unit is wellbuilt, solid, and lightweight. The locking screw holds firm and is easy to operate.

Simple and clever design. Bought this product to record my progress in new hobby. Works great. Interchangeable with other Manfrotto products, and with the 1420 connection it should be compatible with other brands that use this bolt size. I now use it mostly when gaming. I set it up next to my couch on my tripod with my smartphone and video call friends while I play my consoles.

This is a little larger than the Pixi Mini original and does not come with a smart phone clip, sadly. BUT, luckily I already had something that would work. That aside, the two big benefits of this model is that you can arrange a phone in both portrait and landscape modes theres a little cut out in the ballmount socket which allows you more freedom of movement.

Have had a number of miniature tripods. Ones with mini extender legs, the ones with the flexible legs, ones that mount on walls and ones that mount on bars and other edges. All useless when compared to this brilliant and very usable design. The problem with the others was that it took a while to set up the tripod, get the angles right, adjust the legs, the pitch, the level, etc. But this one you just plonk down, adjust the camera whilst holding the button and when it is all as you want, you let go of the button and all is stable, solid and correct. It takes me now about 13 seconds flat to set up my Camcorder on this tripod. Brilliant Manfrotto does it again. Very Happy. Robert Z

Overall Im happy with the tripod. It is easily carried in my pocket. Easy to use. I wish the legs were designed to add more height. Perhaps if there were two or three positions to lock them into get more height if needed.

Excellent product. Solid and stable. Does just what I need for a quick, easy and stable shot. Great for low angle shots and tabletop. I use it on any surface, bridges, rocks etc. Quick screw in setup.

I purchased this tripod along with a FotodioX Cell Phone Tripod Mount, primarily for Face Time calls at this time. Paid a little extra for this tripod to allow use with my DSLRs and other equipment. I like the adjustability of the legs and the ability to manually tighten the ball head as desired. This is a well made tripod for the price. I havent used it to take photos with my DSLR and, as others have noted, you may need to use a remote release when doing so at slower shutter speeds with heavier cameras.

I wanted to love this. It feels great in the hand. The legs are very sturdy. But less than five minutes after opening the package, it is damaged. The little flap of the hot shoe what is that flap even for the instructions dont say is bent. I opened it, trying to figure out what it is, then closed it when I did not come up with any ideas. It bent VERY easily. Disappointed. Now I get to PAY to return it. First and last purchase I will make with this company.

I only use Manfrotto tripods, not telling you that the other ones are fake, but to me its the best tripod label. This tripod is fantastic very adjustable and solid. You have plenty of options on how to use it. I use it as flash unit holder, it works great, anyway you can use it for big cameras without any problem. The only thing I dont like, its entirely made of plastic, but thats me.

Great mini tripod. Sturdy construction and quick to position a camera. Worked easily with a compact digital camera and a DSLR. Light and folds away fast. Not a substitute for a fullsized tripod, but excellent in its area.
B Mac –
Great sturdy wee tripod Limited angle of elevation but punches above its weight. Can handle a heave camera.
Fuat –
Mostly does the job. With a Manfrotto name I was expecting something higher quality. Has a very plasticky feel to it. The button to release the ballhead is very hard to press. The ballhead does not move smoothly and feels gritty. It doesnt have a notch in it, so it cant tilt 90 degrees so you cant position the phone in portrait mode, only landscape. The legs work well. All that being said it is functional and not too expensive.

I have purchased a few small tripods over the years. According to Manfrotto, this tripod will hold a DSLR camera with A standard kit lens. I put a Canon EOS 90D with a 2470mm lens and the tripod held up perfectly. Then I put an EOSR with an RF 2870mm lens which is very heavy, 3.1lbs and it also held up perfectly. Being that I used it for video I did not try to swivel it vertically so I cant vouch for that but the two other mini tripods that I have not sure of the company could not really hold up those cameras well. So I went out and bought two more of these tripods. They are excellent esp for what I am using them for.

I have Z6 battery grip and 2470 2.8 S lens thus picked this slightly larger tripod since it can support the weight it has two sections and have options to go lower more expanded legs I keep this in the bag all the time and it has become very helpful. For video If not use it as tripod I would fold it and use it as handle. For stills it can hold the weight of Z6, battery grip and 2470 2.8 S lens, very handy to mount camera steady. I also use it to mount microphone recorder if just to record voices Built quality is fine for its cost, time will tell if this will survive the abuse in long term use.
Rob –
Very sturdy and well built. Handles a DSLR and kit zoom lens perfectly fine. Ball head works capably and as needed. Definitely an item I will keep in my camera bag at all times.

I expected more from this high quality and sturdy looking tripod. Im actually really surprised that Manfrotto actually let this leave their factory. Unless your device weighs less than a mosquito, it wont hold it. It cant even satisfactorily hold my iPhone in any position other than in a balanced position. The ball mechanism is simply useless. The tripod looks like it should be a good buy but it is a waste of money. I bought mine to use as a desktop stand for a microphone and as a stand for my Zoom H4n Pro recorder. The tripod does not even hold those unless they are in a flat balanced position. This product is a total disappointment…

A nice light and convenient tripod that I purchased for use while out hiking or to take with you in case you need a tripod to capture the perfect picture, but dont want to hassle lugging around a larger tripod. Can also be used on a desk or table top for ease of use.
