This is an awesome remote for presentations – but it’s only awesome if you can install the additional software (which needs admin permissions on your PC). Without the software it’s a nice looking and ergonomic remote that goes forwards and backwards with your slides. It doesn’t even have a laser-pointer. Wkith the software you can highlight/magnify areas of the screen and all sorts of other fancy stuff that will increase the impact of your presentations. It charges with a custom USB-C cable (which is a bit annoying if you lose it). The remote dongle fits neatly into the base of the remote and it comes with a carrying pouch to keep it tidy. In use it feels very slick. The ergonomics have clearly been thought about. But it is very expensive for a remote. Worth it if you’re regularly presenting to large audiences on a stage – not so useful is you’re in a meeting room huddled round a desk with your laptop in front of you. 4 people found this helpful

Works almost as well as advertised – the interface is intuitive and the highlighting and forward and back buttons work well. Very easy to install with bluetooth or the dongle. A few things that could be better – clicking the pointer/highlight button briefly will advance the slide – despite there being a slide advance button to do this. This is too easy to do by mistake. There should be an option to switch this behavior off – sadly there isn’t. – it would be good to have the option to set the cursor shape (eg to a permanent laser pointer) during presentations – it can otherwise be tricky to pick out where the cursor is on screen and therefore where the highlight will appear. – the long hold feature for the f/b buttons to select a secondary function option doesn’t seem to work reliably making what might be a useful feature not one I can rely on during a presentation. -speed of the magnify feature – it is a little slow compared to the highlight feature making it a little shaky in use. The power cable supplied uses a special long USB C adaptor casing and while a normal one does work it is tricky to plug it in. Overall nicely designed and useful product, if the long hold worked for f/b page in browsers it might even replace the mouse when web browsing in some situations. 10 people found this helpful

It’s expensive as others go, but it’s beautifully made and the little tricks it can do are EXCELLENT! The software allows you to magnify / zoom / adjust volume and host of other functions. I was worried it didn’t have enough buttons to do things I need but the reality was most of them I didn’t use, this has everything I need and some. Recently used for some team presentations and everyone loved it! The magnify function caused quite a storm and now everyone wants one! Really solid build quality too!! Yes it’s expensive, is it worth it? In my view – YES! Definitely pleased I chose this one over the R700. Works on Bluetooth so even though it has a dongle, you don’t actually need it 2 people found this helpful

The Logitech Spotlight presentation remote is a handy tool for anyone who gives talks or presentations. Its wireless range is impressive, letting you move around freely in a large room. The digital laser pointer feature is neat, making it easy to highlight important points on your slides. Dual connectivity options, like Bluetooth and USB receiver, make it versatile and compatible with various devices, whether you’re using a PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device. The built-in timer is a nice touch, helping you keep track of time during presentations. On the downside, the price might be a bit high for some, but overall, it’s a solid, reliable remote that makes presenting easier and more professional.

This presentation remote really is excellent. I was looking for a non-laser type of presentation aid in case of difficulties at airport security when I came across this device by Logitech. I had no idea that things like this existed. Having studied the reviews I ordered one and it arrived the next working day. The software was a doddle to install on my MacBook and works well. The Bluetooth connection was established in seconds. Most settings are adjustable to suit your requirements using a nice, intuitive interface. The use of the “spotlight” and the magnifier provides a novel and quite slick way of controlling presentations and interacting with the audience. I’m very pleased with it and it works perfectly. Well done to Logitech for a novel and innovative product. Highly recommended. 3 people found this helpful

April 2023 Style Name: Single Verified Purchase Very little to complain about with this piece if kit. Have wanted one, ever since they added the Mini 3 Pro, to the compatibility list and now I have the Mavic 3 classic, it’s even better. The configurable c1, c2 , 5 way etc buttons, mean less searching on the remote and more time concentrating on the flight and getting the shot… Only little niggle, was the number if times I had to try updating over my WiFi which is not yhe best and then I tried my phones hotspot, which at first wasn’t much better, until I set it to 5 Ghz, rather than 2.8 and then all went much quicker.. but I still have to give this thing, despite it’s rather high price, 5 stars.. Have been a big fan of DJI products, since the Mavic Mini first came out and I very much doubt I will ever buy anything else, as far as drones go. This is very well built, the screen is excellent, even in bright sunshine, the sticks feel much smoother than those of the Dji rc or rc n1. Oh there is one tiny thing that is, at least for now, a bit disappointing.. In the blurb, it makes mention of the 4G cellular module optional purchase. However, right now, that thing is only available in mainland China and apparently in Australia.. Would be great if it was available in the UK, but as far as I know, it is not and neither is it available in Europe or the US… Only time will tell, if we, in the, UK ever get to own one… Would certainly bring back the one thing I have missed, and that’s having live maps… and of course, if you have an excellent 4G signal, then you have a far more reliable signal, than you ever will with WiFi or O3+ as DJI cellular it…Yes it will also mean unlimited range but unless you have the certification and permissions to fly beyond vlos, that is meaningless. Anyway, if you have the money, if you have a need for the best rc dji have to offer, right now, then I recommend the DJI RC Pro. Bright screen, loads of buttons, wheels and programmable functions. Much less faffing than using a phone or tablet with the standard controller. Works with the air 2s and mini 3 pro currently. EXPENSIVE but worth it in my opinion if using drone a lot and want to be able to see screen when it’s sunny, warm and have more features. With that out of the way, let’s see why it’s worth it. I used to be quite happy flying my DJI Spark with my phone and don’t ever recall the screen dimming even on hot days. That changed, for whatever reasons, when I upgraded to the DJI Air 2S and the genuine scare of having the screen on my Samsung Note – previously impeccable with the Spark – dim to the point of being barely visible one sunny day, made me decide to investigate an alternative. I looked at loads of tablets, but they all seemed to suffer the same problem. The RC Pro launched, but the price immediately ruled it out for me – just couldn’t justify it. I ended up getting a great deal on the Tripltek 8 Pro tablet, which was fantastic in terms of performance, but man was it top heavy and I still had the same faff of setting it up with RC-N1 controller – cables, brackets etc. But it was still way better than my phone. After a few months, I happened to view the RC Pro here on Gadget Tree again and was given the option to spread the cost over 12 months. As hard as I’d fought against what I still believed was a silly price, I finally caved, sold my Tripltek 8 and pumped for the RC Pro. And I couldn’t be happier. Setup, from turning the controller / drone on to being in the air, is significantly quicker that any RC-N1 option I’d tried before, range and consistency of signal and video feed seem a lot better, screen is fantastic and the extra controls mean I rarely ever have to take my hands from the sticks now. From changing exposure to being able to tilt and zoom the camera at the same time (plus LOTS more), I can’t overstate how much better of a flight experience you get with the RC Pro. Yes, you need to have a phone / hotspot device with you for live maps, but I always have mine with me anyway so that’s not really changed anything in terms of my operations, and the rewards detailed above far outweigh that minor inconvenience, if it even is an inconvenience. If you fly for producing anything remotely creative (no-pun intended) with your DJI drone, swallow hard, save your pennies, and admit defeat. You just won’t find a better option. And one day – just one day – you may well think it’s worth every penny. Like me. Just switch on the RC Pro, switch on the drone and fly! Bright screen – brighter than my (albeit) aging mobile phone Can load Litchi and some other apps Can install and use Microsoft OneDrive to automatically upload pictures and videos to your OneDrive cloud storage once you’ve downloaded them from the drone (I particularly love this) Drone-Hacks has a firmware hack for this controller (to enable FCC mode) Compatible with Mavic 3, Air 2S and Mini 3 Pro (also a con I suppose, but new drones will likely be compatible also) Cons: A bit pricey. This cost more than my Air 2S Only compatible with Mavic 3, Air 2S and Mini 3 Pro (also a Pro really if you have one of those) Battery life isn’t fantastic and you really need a USB charger capable of 9v or 15v charging – get yourself a iQ3 charger it will charge the controller up much much quicker. I now cannot see myself using the standard RC anymore. I also have the Mini 3 Pro and hate having to use the standard remote control with iPhone attached for it. The brightness is the best feature as well as being able to download apps like DJI Mimo to control my DJI Osmo Pocket. Minor downside is not having data like 4G but it’s really easy to tether to my iPhone for Maps. I’ve bought a screen protector, Lanyard and silicone skin for it all to protect my investment.
