I am very, very happy with the JBL Clip 4 portable bluetooth speaker. Once charged, it was easy to link by bluetooth to my Kobo Libra 2 ereader for an audiobook I had. The sound was clear and unbroken, and the I could say the clarity was close to noise cancellation. The music I played also had no background noise of any kind. Since my Clip 4 was right next to me, rather than across the room, the volume was not high but it was full and rich nonetheless. It is very, very good for a little speaker. I don’t think anyone in the next room would be bothered by it.

When deciding whether or not to purchase this the sound is the thing I want to know about. I like a good bit of bass in all my music. I read reviews and sometimes people get distracted by other things but if you’re buying a portable speaker you want good sound. I had read a good deal of reviews for this and the general consensus was the sound was very good. I can’t fault this speaker it’s portable waterproof ( not that I’ve tested that aspect) but I want it to carry onto my ruck sack while out walking etc. I was very happy to hear the quality of sound and had perfect amount of bass. Easy to clip to anything and I’d give it 10/10. I think it’s a bit cheeky to charge an extra £10 for certain colours hence I stuck to black for the less money. For such a small speaker, the sound is great. It’s perfect for picnics / out with the kids etc. It’s super compact too and feels pretty robust (but I’ve not tested it properly). I’d definitely recommend it for days out when space is tight and you still want a decent speaker.
