So we have a Bose Revolve bluetooth speaker but needed a second Blue tooth speaker. I was impressed whenever I heard the UE Megaboom speaker and I could audibly tell the difference, albeit initially in louder party atmosphere. My son’s girlfriend had one too, which when played side by side sounded better than the Bose revolve. Note, both those units are over 4 years old. So I was convinced and bought the new Megaboom 4. On immediate playing I couldn’t believe my ears but I was disappointed, so I used the UE app. and tried it with the EQ. in search of a better clarity, but I wasn’t convinced. So I played the same songs on Spotify from two iPhones to each speaker and compared the output – The Bose was better!!. WE then got the Old Megaboom and tested it the same way with the new Megaboom, conducting blind tests, with the same songs etc., the Older Megaboom was better every time! And that older unit had been through 3 years of Uni. student life too!! So, did the new unit have a fault- I hope so? Anyway , I sent it back and bless Gadget Tree for accepting it. The audio is crystal clear and it captures every aspect of whatever it is that you’ll be listening to, whether it’s listening to music or using this as a normal speaker for YouTube etc. 10/10 would 100% recommend, very great value for money.
