Fitbit has improved quite alot and I am impressed with the features of the watch, There is some delay sometimes in transfering the data between the phone and the watch which happened few times with Whatsapp and email notifications. The activity tracker is really good and can predict to a good level what you are doing, probably you need to trigger it sometimes but then it will learn and notify you to activities automatically I like the simple sleek design Heart rate sometimes requires a bit of tight fit but never found it to be annoying, It works nice for me, I have a bit of hairy hands still it works nicely I am struggling to find some functions as the interface is not as user friendly as smart watches. I appreciate it is a tracker and not a smart watch but if that feature can be improved then I am definite that lots of people will buy this tracker I would like it to have some connectivity to machines similary to charge 6 as this will help alot in exercise monitoring I had a Fitbit Charge 3 before, moved to Samsung watch then now back again to Fitbit, I still miss the smart watch simplicity and ease of use and finding apps in comparison to this tracker all in all I will give it 4/5. I still like it alot but I think Fitbit can still improve it a bit 18 people found this helpful

This was bought to replace a Fitbit Sense 1 which had broken. The Sense 1 was always a little finicky. Sometimes it wouldn’t charge, sometimes it’d only charge halfway. The sense 1’s footstep detector was wildly inaccurate. About the only thing it did well was the heartbeat thing, which was quite accurate. The Sense 2 fixes a lot of these issues, and makes for a faster, smoother experience. The Sense 1 would lag occasionally when swiping, but the Sense 2 doesn’t. It’s a better watch all round, I think. We both, originally, paid for the subscription, but it just didn’t seem to give us anything worthwhile. Apps like Zombies Run! give you fun, cool things to do to get fit. Other apps give you recipes, or fitness ideas, or reminders etc… I just feel that the fitbit ecosystem has stagnated a little and they’re just selling smartwatches/fitness trackers without evolving the experience. So, there’s one thing that’s the same with both, and it’s still a disappointment, the app: The thing that annoyed me about the Sense 1 was that it constantly had a “disconnected from phone” icon on the screen, despite the phone sitting RIGHT THERE. What’s the point of having a smart watch that can control the phone, if it only works if the app is loaded and showing on the phone’s screen? I can count on one finger the number of times that I’ve had the Fitbit app loaded, and someone’s tried to call me, and I’ve been able to answer it using the smart watch. The sense 2 does the same. Despite having the App on the phone, it still doesn’t detect the phone unless the app is loaded. And sometimes you’ll load the app, and it’ll take ages for it sync with the watch, despite the watch being in the active bluetooth devices list. I know Bluetooth is a bit flakey, and not all devices are equal when it comes to supporting different profiles, but I would have thought the one thing the watch was supposed to do (exchange information with the app) would have been sorted. The watch was for my wife, and she’s had no problems with it so far. She likes the features, but doesn’t use much of the additional functionality. She occasionally loads the fitbit app to sync the data and see how she’s been doing. but, if I’m honest, I think the App needs a major overhaul. She shouldn’t have to take the watch off, and lie it next to the phone for ten minutes to sync for her to know how many steps she’s taken, or for the most useful information to be buried under a dropdown, which is in a tab, under a graph, which is about four scrolls down. The app has most of what you need, but it could do with a little of a redesign I think… Perhaps find a way to let people configure their dashboard, both in the app, and on the notifications, or widgets on the home screen. 4 people found this helpful

I’m really enjoying using the new Kindle Fire Max which was a replacement for an older version. It’s solidly made and , more importantly, takes extra memory cards to extend the space available for storage. Battery life is pretty good – it does last at least for a couple of days but I suppose this would depend heavily on how and when you use it. It’s very sleek in its design (and this does cause a slight problem as I can never find the power key on the first attempt!) with non slip feet. It’s solidly built so this means that the weight is distributed fairly evenly – in my hands it doesn’t seem to sit comfortably and needs to be propped up on something for extended use. Recently I bought a fine nib pen for it [not the Gadget Tree stylus] and am able to write notes with the keyboard input pane. This is particularly useful and is fairly accurate ( possibly 70-80%) although some interesting alternative words are often inserted and the writing area positioning means that I often close the app by mistake. Initially the Fire Max came with a layout that I didn’t like – this is customisable so I was delighted to be able to remove the ‘app suggestions’ and “you might like this” strip that originally appeared on the screen [this is not the same as the “advertising” or “not advertising” versions that put an ad on the lock screen, but additional advertising in the guise of ‘helpful suggestions’]. The need to connect this tablet directly to a bluetooth headphone/speaker set is a sign of things to come although the speakers inbuilt are fine for short durations [and of course you can always link it to your Alexa]. I did try and remove the passcode to get into the machine, as its only used at home , but wasn’t able to accomplish this although reviews on the web say that it is possible – later I discovered the nifty little fingerprint scanner in the power key. As for all Kindles, this machine is expected just to use programs from the Gadget Tree App store which does limit some areas (I can’t find a Whats App application but have now managed to get Onenote running again – something I issed on my old Kindle). The Kindle app seems much clearer for reading on the screen and the link to home automation is welcome (although it doesn’t seem to pick up the Meross plugs around my house) In all though, its a great successor to the previous Kindle (that I had until the external card reading stopped working properly) which is clear, easy to use and with enough storage capacity that I don’t need to be concerned about adding new programmes to it. 95 people found this helpful

I’m not usually one to write a review but this is an exceptionally good phone. For someone who refuses to give Apple any money I was looking for an android that couldnt just handle gaming but also some heavy 4k video editing on the go. I’ve managed to test a few games that are quite graphically demanding and I’m really impressed. As expected the phone can get fairly hot if you’re maxing out all your settings. There’s all kinds of customisations and personalisations. The rear LED light panel is a nice touch. I’ve been editing and encoding 4k videos from other cameras on this. Seems to handle it very well. Have had some slight issues editing with h265 in 10 bit colour. Phone did get very hot. Haven’t had the chance to try the cooling unit yet but this may help. Cameras are very impressive. Will shoot up to 8k which is a bit pointless unless you like chewing through your memory really fast. I love how the rear cameras are gimbal stabilised. The display is crisp and it can go really bright. Really high refresh rate. The phone has a crazy amount of RAM. The only thing that lets this phone down is the lack of internal micro SD port. I have the 512GB version. The 1TB version wasn’t available on Gadget Tree at the time and costs quite a bit more. It does have two USBc ports which are really helpful. Especially if you’re using a gamepad. The port on the bottom is off centre so it’s kinda made my USB game pad quite useless. Fine if you have a Bluetooth gamepad. Battery life is good and lasts all day with moderate usage. Nice fast charging too. 4 people found this helpful
