Purchased this camera for vacation travels, but have only used for family gatherings. Easy to use. Smaller than my last Canon, but should make it easy to pack. So far great color indoors and out, easy to charge, photo timer good, download pictures to computer. I didnt want anything fancy with lots of functions, just basic. Like how the screen adjust to various positions.

I have owned my Canon G7 X Mark II for a couple of months and really like it and use in preference to my DSLR most of the time. I normally shoot in aperture priority and for that the G7X is ideal and I assume shutter speed priority works equally well. You can shoot in manual mode but the controls arent ideal so why bother. The touch screen is customisable and I have turned off touch shutter release as I was taking too many unwanted images. It would be good if you could lock the settings as occasionally I have changed something by accident maybe you can but I havent found it.The camera is nice to handle and just about fits in your pocket but because of the materials used it isnt especially light to carry, but a lot lighter than a DSLR and lens. The menu system is good and easy to work through and most options can be reached in several ways.My images have been good with well saturated colours and sharp focus. Low light performance is good and 1,600 ISO is perfectly acceptable. The lens is fast and of good quality.Where the camera is less good is when trying to shoot movement as a viewfinder is much easier than a screen for such shots. Also if you want perfect focus for a portrait, a DSLR, with a single focus point and a viewfinder is the way to go.But for a carry anywhere camera for holidays, street photography, recording days out, kids etc. it is hard to beat.

This camera is AMAZING we wanted to start making home videos with our littles and this blow it out the park. The features are simple to use yet high quality, the flip up screen helps you view if youre in focus andor what your filming, and the sound is greatCon no external mic input so depending on how you have to camera situated the sound can become a little muffled we purchased a cord to plug our ride mic in and it was such an easy fix

I was looking for just the camera, than I came across this deal which included tripod and sd card. Worth it.The camera itself is great. Compact and feels strong I suggest buying a case to protect it from scratches etc.The quality of picture and video is good Love the feature of the movable displayHighly recommended

Love this kit Its the perfect kit for starters and the price is totally worth it for the additional tripod, extra battery and SD card. The camera is super easy to use for beginner creators as well as normal people who want a camera that can capture day to day life in the forms of pictures and videos. The quality of the picture and sound are great and I would totally recommend this kit if youre thinking about it, this is your sign.

I had the previous Canon and still use it. Canon is a great product. The G7X is amazing. The basics are easy to understand and setup. The book instructions are good, however, some of the user instructions are not in the book and you have to view those on the web. It would be nice to have those little instructions on a separate page with the camera. Setting up is not a problem. The G7X has a lot of functions, i.e. I want to add the date to my pics and I think that is pretty basic. My older Canon camera all I have to do is hit display and the date prints on the pic.

After days of being skeptical I finally purchased it and when it came I fell in love Im someone who goes off of reviews and if there isnt that many I wont get it. There was one review that stood out and after watching her granddaughters YouTube video I decided to just go for it. Let me tell you this is the best purchase Ive mad in a while. Camera is amazing and Im so pleased with the price and the amount of other things that came with it. I wouldve been paying same price for the camera just alone anywhere else. I hope this review helps you purchase this cause its definitely worth it

I bought this bundle because I wanted an extra battery which is 50 alone. Buying the bundle covers for the battery and even comes with other accessories as well. The camera itself is great and such high quality. Its very easy to bring around and work with. If you do not know much about cameras, itll take a while to learn how to work everything. However, all of the shots youll be taking with this camera will be great. There are a lot of settings as well that allow you to get different shots.

This camera DOES NOT use dual pixel AF or any other phase detect AF system in it. Manage your autofocus expectations accordingly. Especially in low light and in video. However, it does have a noticeable improvement in speed over its predecessor and for most situations its fine. What this camera excels at, just like its predecessor, is stills. It has excellent low and mid ISO image quality. I prefer the Fine Detail setting as my picture style as it provide excellent sharpness and punchy, greatlooking colors by default. But there are a number of other picture styles to suit your tastes. I also love that this camera now has in camera raw processing, which can be useful. It seems also like Canon has quietly made some improvements to the lens because it seems a bit sharper than the one on the G7X even though they are supposed to be the same.Video quality is also excellent and quite sharp. The autofocus is pretty good but because its contrast detect, you will see a little bit of back and forth motion with the focus from time but otherwise its not bad. Great for casual uses such as vlogging. The camera controls are well laidout. I like the chunkier grip and that the exposure comp dial has better feedback to it. The one its predecessor could be a little hard to turn but kudos to Canon for at least including one Sony RX100 has no such dial on top. The LCD is bright and clear and also is more flexible, which means its a lot easier to compose on in bright sunlight. Battery life is not stellar but once again, this also an improvement over the original G7X. It should last you a day of shooting.Complaints I think the major one is, and this seems to be an issue on both the G7X and the RX100 series cameras, is that dust can easily get inside the lens. Even though the camera has a builtin automatic lens cap, it does a poor job at keeping dust and other particles out.But overall, a great enthusiast compact camera. The 1 Sony sensor inside is still relatively small compared to APSC rebels or mirrorless but it punches above its weight in image quality. If you really dont see yourself going much beyond the kit lens if you were to buy a Rebel, this could be a great alternative. It takes great photos and video, has improved AF and battery life over the original, and it comfortable to shoot with.

I just got this about 2 days ago and with this camera, being my first actually good camera, i think im going to pursue vlogging I used this camera for a day just playing around with it and it seems to be really good, there are so many little cool things about this camera and even though I cannot point out the flaws to this camera because Ive never really had something this good and high quality, but, I have seen some reviews and I can say that not many people disliked this product, and if they did it was a minimal detail that had to do it with it being similar to the first G7X. I personally love the flip up screen it was a big reason I wanted it got it because vlogging can be easier since I get to see what the camera is actually seeing. I also love the grip, it does make holding it so much easier. It has a good weight to it so its not super heavy or super light, even though it would be good if it was light. My final thoughts, I recommend getting this camera if you can afford the crazy price, because I do believe that in the end, it is worth it.

Its all the most useful functions of a DSLR in something that youll use for settings where you never use a DSLR. The lens range is excellent, the image stabilizer is useful, the controls are familiar and fantastic if youre already a user of a Canon DSLR. I have a 6D for my usual camera, but I like this because I bring it places and take pictures with it that I just dont get with the 6D.In all fairness Ive only gotten to use it a few times due to COVID which is a shame. Its portability gives it a nearzero footprint on your body I bought a tiny lowepro case for it but it takes pictures like a DSLR, and its unassuming size makes it excellent for candid situations. I used it for a nerd convention in january, where I would usually bring a DSLR and leave it in my hotel room the entire time because I dont feel like lugging it, but that wasnt the case here. I took more pictures than Ive ever taken at such an event, and got pictures that I never took with a DSLR or cell phone in the same kinds of environments. The sensor is a bit noisy, but that doesnt bother me. Dynamic range is excellent well into the high ISOs, with highlights looking bright and organic. The range of the aperture and focal lengths are superb, though I probably used it the most at the fullywide 24mmequivalent end. The built in lens profiling is fantastic, no geometric distortion that stuck out to me at any focal length.Controls are great, I used it on manual with auto ISO, and used the exposure comp dial to compensate for dynamic situations. Its the best example of a camera for candid, nonstudio, organic settings, and I think any DSLR user would find themselves saying many of the same things. You just use it for things that a DSLR wont do as gracefully.Battery life is pretty good from full, but the meter does seem to fall much faster from halfway to zero than it does from full to halfway. Being able to charge via microusb is useful especially if you have a usb powerbank but for some reason you cant shoot while its charging, so keep that in mind. Battery life is probably the only real caveat overall, though if youre prepared for that it isnt hard to keep up with at all, and I wouldnt trade that for its size and usability

I have a very basic knowledge of cameras photography but was looking for a camera to get some good quality photos whilst on my travels would easily fit in my pocket.Originally I looked at upgrading my phone to the iPhone 11 Pro but then I came across the Canon G7 x MarkII I love itIts half the price of a new phone really compact. The camera is really easy to use I have more control over my photos meaning less editing time. The wireless feature is a great addition to the camera it makes sharing my photos to my phone really easy to do.My photos have never looked more professional.

I use this camera for work taking inventory photos for car dealerships. Im on my second G7XII after wearing out my first one taking thousands of photos a week. The 1 sensor and wide aperture help me provide my customers with some great photos. The adjustable angle of the LCD helps me conveniently get the angles I want. The compact size allows me to climb in and around cars without worrying about the size of my camera being in the way.The only issue I have is the lack of dust sealing of the lens. It is way too easy to get dust inside the lens. I shoot wide open all the time, so a little dust is generally not an issue for me, but it shouldnt be so easy to get inside to begin with. I keep my lens covered with a slipon cap when Im not using it which has helped to keep dust out this second time around.

I had every intention of leaving a glowing review for this bundle. I think we all do when we purchase a product why else would we make a purchase other than for it to meet our needsHowever, I am not here to leave a glowing review, my friends.I had done a lot of research on this bundle and many others before purchasing this one and I had thought it had the perfect mix of everything I needed. However, once I got it, the accessories that I thought made this bundle perfect slowly unraveled. Below I include a list of this bundles faults, but please do not think me petty by some of the minor entries I simply mean to include a comprehensive list.First, the memory card holder was flimsy. Not a deal breaker by any means, but something worth mentioning. Since June when I bought this bundle some changes have been made so I cant say for sure if the card holder has remained the same.Second, the software kit is only useable for those who have PC. Yes, I probably could have gotten that clarified before I bought the bundle, but it is still disappointing, especially when it would have be really easy for Adorama to either A included software for both PC and Mac, B give two software kit options so the customer could choose the one that matched their computer, or C at the very least made it clearer to Mac users that the software kit would be useless to them.Third, and finally, the Mini MultiCard Reader malfunctioned. Of course, I cannot guarantee this will happen to everyone, but when the risk includes damaging your memory card which holds all of photos and videos, the dangers of this happening to you becomes a lot higher. My experience is as followsShortly after I bought the bundle, I took a trip to Europe. During that trip, the card reader worked but frequently disconnected and reconnected for no reason. My computer could be on a still, firm surface and the card reader would still disconnect. This happened numerous times, but the card reader would always reconnect so I put up with it because it was the only one I had little did I know that the consequences for a bad card reader was having a memory card error that would leave me without all of my photos. As such, Im now paying to try and recover my photos. I chatted with Adorama, but because Im out of their 30 day return policy because the card reader did not malfunction until after I was out of the country and I was in no position to return it while I was in Europe, they are only willing to replace my card reader with the exact same cheap model that put me in this position in the first place. Not to mention a replacement does nothing toward the damage and inconvenience the malfunctioning card reader caused me.In conclusion Im not an expert, but simply a person who likes pictures like many of you. While I really like the Canon G7x Mark II, I cannot recommend this bundle due to the inferior products that are sold with it. While some of the items are useless and flimsy, others are cheaply made which cause you the customer some serious issues. While it looks like Adorama cannot help me, I hope they start putting better quality accessories in their bundles so this doesnt happen to anyone else.

Extraordinary images. I suppose one could obsess interminably about battery life or lack of a viewfinder or of this feature or that but at the end of the day, I simply want to download wellrendered photographs. I can learn the rest. Im a retired professional photographer 35 years and am no longer enamoured of carting about mutiple lenses for a pretty heavy digital SLR. An impending trip to Ireland this summer compelled me to do my due diligence inquiring of friends and getting blearyeyed doing many late nights of research on the internet machine before subsequently pulling the trigger on a simple small camera purchase. I will say this puppy is right on the fringe of what I can justify to Herself. Ive only had it three weeks but its survived a couple of exacting drills and delivered great product from what I constructed as rather demanding criteria for a little camera. I have yet to sense a mote of regret. Ive even discovered that it records moving pictures with aplomb. What 21st century heresy is this At my age Ill likely never utilize or even attempt to push this camera to its capacity. Hell, the online manual runs to well over twohundred pages of what are many still less than comprehensible features. I will certainly enjoy its compactness and its adroit capability to produce fine photos in lessthanideal lighting circumstances and over a good range of focal lengths. I only hope Ill someday be as familiar with it as I was with my first Canon F1 back in the early seventies. The onus of that new education is on me, though not the camera. The Canon EOS 50D that Ive grown fond of and comfortable with over the last eight years or so along with its attendant accoutrements will be now likely relegated to only the occasional, rare workout…. Kinda like me.

Most amazing camera ever. I could not be more pleased with my purchase if I tried. I really shopped around and this camera takes the cake. Excellent video and I love the automatic focus. The sound is great, the lack of a jack for an external mic hadnt been an issue for me at all, and I was worried about it cause it kept being brought up by other people. I found the G7X Mark II Easy to use, although I know Im not using all its advanced features. For straight out of the box with zero fiddling with settings its still filming great. I have NO experience so that was Very important. I aslo was really happy with the seller. I got my camera faster than quoted and everything was packaged really well. I might not have needed every little thing it came with, but most of it Ive found useful and a nice value. Im pleased as it was about the same cost, possibly less, than another deal I saw on the same camera but I got a bit more with this package, not just the camera. I didnt have to try to contact the seller with any issues though so I cant speak to that. Im happy all around I highly recommend this camera. If youre shopping around and still on the fence, this is a good choice.

This camera is the camera I use for filming my videos. It has a flip screen and can connect to a lot of tripods. It is amazing quality and is easy to use. The only thing I would say that isnt the best thing about the product is that it takes a little bit to focus. Also when I play a video it does crop in quite a bit but otherwise I would recommend this camera for a beginner youtuber.
Customer29 –
If youd like a still camera, look no furtherHowever, calling this a video camera is wrong, and putting it in a VIDEO Creator Kit is unacceptable, and seems like a scam. This camera is no good for videos. Why1 The autofocusing audio is unacceptable, and theres no way to plug in an external mic. This has been a problem with previous Canon cameras.2 There is no way to charge the camera while filming, which means 20 minute videos and youre done.3 Autofocusing in general. The camera is constantly trying to focus on random things. Im focused on you… Oh wait, whats that 20 feet behind you Let me try and focus on that… Oh, its a lamp. Back to youNow, there is a way to turn the autofocusing down. Not off, but down. Which means theres still times its trying to focus on other things. But there is no way to turn the autofocusing clicking noise off.So good for photographs, but horrible for video.

This is a great midprice camera providing both manual and automatic functionality. Canon also provides great support and tutorials on how to get the most from the camera. Great for both the beginner and the experienced photographer.
EvaB –
I absolutely love this camera Its the classic vlog camera. However, the quality is just so fitting for filming either casually or for projects. Its relatively cheap for a camera and the investment is worth it

I havent thoroughly tested the camera out yet, but so far, I am very impressed I am excited to spend more time with it checking it out I am very impressed with the picture quality so farthey are crisp and have good color. It works really well in low light. I have had a couple of Canon Rebels, along with other Canon pointandshoots. I wanted a small pointandshoot to take on vacation. I also wanted a pointandshoot that will take a good picture on the AUTO setting. I dont want to be messing with settings on a pointandshoot unless I have toisnt that the idea of a pointandshoot anyway I had a Sony mirrorless, but I had to mess way too much with the settings to get a good picture. The Canon G7X Mark II so far seems to take great pictures on the AUTO setting. I hope it continues to impress me I will be testing it out more and update this review if I find any issues.

Ive had this camera for 1 year. Ive used it almost everyday taking pictures and videos. It is one of the best point and shoots Ive ever owned. Ive dropped it, threw it in my bag where it was just tossed around and it still hasnt showed any signs of stopping. It has a feature where it connects to your phone and you can download all the videos and images straight to your phone anywhere. Overall wonderful camera gave me some very good years.
tatyana.s –
This was my first camera purchase and I have to say that I am impressed. The camera quality is impeccable Because it is a point and shoot camera I really didnt expect much from it but I would recommend. The only downfall of the camera is the microphone. You arent really able to connect an external microphone to the camera to help boost the volume of your video. The built in microphone could use more work but thats kind of expected because its better for close range shot videos.
Mitch –
Love this camera for my daughter. I gave it to her as a gift. She likes it so much. We went to botanic garder to try it on. Easy to carry and easy to use. Can fit inside her purse. Great resolution and result.

Blending notable imaging qualities with refined handling, the PowerShot G7 X Mark II Digital Camera from Canon is a compact pointandshoot characterized by its large featureset. Utilizing a 20.1MP 1 CMOS sensor and DIGIC 7 image processor, this camera offers a maximum ISO 12800 in Program mode, and achieves smooth image quality with reduced noise when working in lowlight conditions. Additionally, it is also capable of recording stills at up to 8 fps as well as Full HD 1080p60 video. Complementing the sensor and processor combination is a versatile 4.2x zoom lens, which provides a 24100mm equivalent focal length range, covering wideangle to shorttelephoto perspectives. A fast f1.8f2.8 maximum aperture maintains consistent performance throughout the zoom range and also benefits working in difficult lighting conditions. The lens design is surrounded by a familiar control ring that offers intuitive control over settings, and a large 3.0 1.04mdot tilting touchscreen LCD provides a natural means for composing imagery from a variety of shooting angles. Additionally, the G7 X Mark II also features builtin WiFi with NFC for wireless sharing of imagery to smartphones or tablets, as well as remote camera control from linked mobile devices.
ALovelie –
This camera is cute and small making it easy to use and move around. The camera itself is pretty easy to navigate, but it was pretty difficult trying to sync it with my computer so I could transfer files over to my computer. Battery life isnt long if you are trying to film 30 minute videos in one day. Also, it stops recording at the 20minute mark without any warning, which is inconvenient when Im trying to film something a little long. But overall it is a nice camera but is probably better suited for pics and short 10minute videos.
Steven –
Very nice compact camera at a reasonable price. Replaced my venerable but aging PowerShot G15. Highly acceptable interiorlowlight still imagery for travel without the weight, bulk and expense of a DSLR f1.8 zoom lens. An optical viewfinder would be nice for bright outdoors, but not worth the extra cost and futzing for me.
cecego –
Been eyeing this camera for awhile now. Finally bought it on sale and loving it Great for videos and the picture quality is clearer than most. the zoom is awesome, it definitely goes the distance. Works great with tripods. Only disappointment is battery life way too short, so if I can find a rechargeable battery pack for it, all good
natontrack –
I bought this camera for myself. The last time I purchased a camera was 10 years ago, boy have things gotten better. This camera has a flip screen to allow you do to take selfies, you are able to send pictures from the camera straight to your phone or tablet. This allows you share photos immediately. You will just need to get the canon APP. The photos come out vibrant and clear. The videos are pretty good too. I am still learning how to use my camera, but so far I like what it can do. The camera is small enough to carry in my purse but powerful enough to capture beautiful shots. This is a great camera for traveling.
Lynsey –
Pros Touch ScreenCons Touch screen not fully articulated. Top dials extremely stiff and hard to turn. Overall plasticky and cheap build, considering the price. Did not keep long enough to test results as I knew as soon as I handled it, it was not for me and not worth the price.
Robert –
I like the metallic feel of this camera unlike others that have a cheap plastic feeling to them. Pictures are incredibly clear and detailed which is what I was looking for. Ive only had the camera a short time and havent used all features yet. One thing I dont like is the limited flash control in Auto mode. Its either Auto or off, I have to use Program mode if I want the flash to operate when I want it to. This is only a small detail and not a major concern. I dont like the touch screen shutter function and happy to see that this feature was easily deactivated. The flip up screen is great for self or group portraits as you can see what youre doing. Im sure Ill be very happy with this camera which is what I am expecting from a product bearing the Canon name.
TwixSell –
I bought this camera for my little sister because she broke her first one last year at a festival. I searched and searched for the camera but it was sold out everywhere. One day, it became available here. She looks it Love the fact the bundle comes with everything The camera, stand, extra battery, memory card. Best bundle for vlog

I finally found a point and shoot camera that I love This is the perfect camera to travel with. I recently took it on a trip where I visited a lot of museums and insides of churches low light environments. I took about 5000 pictures It worked very well in low light situations and captured images that I could not have gotten with other cameras since it goes down to a 1.8 aperture. I think my Rebel with its kit lens would not have been able to capture the pictures that I took with this little camera. It worked great in the sun, too. It has a special scene mode called handheld night that captured beautiful night imageseven through a bus window while moving. I found the battery life to be very good. I have it set to ECO mode in the menu. I brought 4 batteries with me, but never needed more than 2 batteries in a day. It is small enough to fit in my fanny pack or shoulder bag yet has a good solid feel. The only thing missing is a panorama mode. I mostly left it on Auto or P mode and had peace of mind knowing it was probably going to get the shot. It had trouble with selfieseither the person or the background would be out of focus. You can fix this by putting it on Av mode and picking a small aperture. It cost a lot of money, but well worth it.

The reason for purchasing the G7X mark ii is to be the camera I can carry in social environments and for hiking. When hiking, I appreciate the lightweight camera that performs very well. In social environments I appreciate that I do not need to carry around a larger DSLR camera. The flash works very well in most situations. Objects in the foreground 10 to get over exposed by the flash. This camera can do many things that are normally left for post production. Some of them include, high dynamic range imaging, a fisheye, effect, bachound blur my favorite and soft focus to name a few. This shirt pocket camera is capable of saving 32 Mb raw images. So, I can zoom in on small portions of the image and still have plenty of pixels to make a quality image. I have only had it for a month and I am glad for the purchase. I would definitely recommend this camera to another photographer.
Hoppie –
Ive been using this camera to record YouTube videos, and it works great. Be aware that, as far as I can tell, it seems to have a recording limit of 24 minutes. At least, thats when it has stopped recording suddenly for me. Otherwise, I think the video and audio quality are really good, and this camera is nice and lightweight, making it versatile and good for travel. The flip out screen is nice, too
Taz104 –
OK. Although the video on this camera is very good, I am not a vlogger and I am writing this review from a casual photographers point of view. I wanted a new camera and wasnt sure I was ready for a DSLR. Ive had other pointandshoot cameras that were OK. The main problem I had was shooting in low light without streaks or other artifact. Enter the Powershot G7X MII. This camera fits the bill. Even on full auto, pictures are amazing in daylight and night scenes. Great color and sharpness. This camera also has many manual settings that I have started to play with and learned how to improve the quality in different situations. It shoots RAW and JPEG and you can shoot both simultaneously. Its a little more than I though I would spend on a pointandshoot camera but with an f1.8f2.8 lens with a 1 sensor I am not having buyers remorse. This camera is fantastic Ive seen other reviews about battery life being mediocre. I can say I have not had this problem. I bought another genuine Canon battery to have on hand but so far I havent had to use it.

Rather than carrying my 7D II with 2470L and 70200L lenses on our family trip to Italy this month, I researched and bought the G7 X II earlier this month. What a great decision. Easily fit in my jeans pocket, great low light pics in St. Peters Basilica and other historic buildings, crisp and clean JPEGs with little need for editing I wirelessly uploaded to my IPad Pro each evening, for minimal editing before posting, and fabulous results. Near professional or pro results, as evidenced by the feedback received. It made the 10 day trip around Italy so much more enjoyable not having to carry a heavy bag, and change lenses. The only knock is the battery life, as I had to charge late afternoon or Id run out of power in the evening. I have since bought a 2nd battery for future use. Highly recommended.

Had been using and enjoying a Sony RX100 M2 for several years until it was lost. I balked at the price, but bought the Canon mostly because it cost less than the new RX100 and RX100s zoom is significantly less. This camera easily exceeds the Sony in picture quality and low light capability. I am truly a casual photographer who uses it mostly on travel. However, the speed, sharpness and color are a quantum improvement over the M2s. The antishakeblur feature is especially effective and Ive had acceptable results with shots down to about 110 sec shutter speed. What I dont like the battery drains after too few pictures about 160 for me, the menu is too easily called up, and I have a tendency to hit the power button when putting the camera into my holster. All in all, a superb camera.

I first bought this camera 18 months ago. Image and video quality is better than the Rebel SLR cameras I had and love. After two months I dropped it from 3 feet which destroyed the autofocus zoom mechanics. Canon sent me a replacement at reduced cost. Since then, the screws on the hinges of the display have been coming loose which is a well known problem for this camera search on youtube. I carried a leatherman with me to put them back in, but over the last months lost two screws. After cannibalizing screws from hopefully less crucial locations, I called Canon service and found out that this camera is considered an Exchange model and cannot be repaired, and that no parts such as screws are available for it.My plan was to have this camera for many years, as was the case with my Rebels. Given that there is no support that plan is iffy at best. I am still not sure whether to buy a second one and use this one for parts it isotherwise fine, or look for another brandmodel. Will update when I decide

Got this bundle because of all the extras. The camera itself is nice and compact. You can position the LCD screen to face forward if youre shooting yourself. This way, you can monitor the frame while shooting. Would be nice if they included a carrying case in the bundle.

This is a great first camera for a small youtuber just start out. I love the view find for when im vlogging. It is quite small though so you may have to comment a bigger screen to it. This camera does not have a plug area for an external mic but the microphone is pretty good. I would suggest a mic muff though if your vlogging outside. I love all the features this camera has face recognition where you can take a picture of a face and when youre vlogging out in public it will only focus on your face instead of others if youre in the screen.
nikki.s –
I really love this camera The picture quality is so great and blew my mind especially in low light. Its really user friendly and would be a great high end starter camera. Its a really solid device and feels comfortable in my hands. I have dropped it a few times and it is still hanging in strong. Also I have to admit the screen having the capability to flip up is really great when you are taking selfies or recording yourself. The screen is so clear and just makes shooting alot easier. This camera is a really great point and shoot and if you are wanting to get sharp clear images without the complications of a dslr, I definitely recommend this.

There is no way for me to write as good of a review as some of the ones that I read before buying this camera. However, I did just get back from a trip that caused me to buy the Canon PS G7 and I could not be happier with my purchase. I looked at every camera in the class and even cameras that are a little bigger to take on our trip in lieu of bringing our Canon SLR. I especially was considering the Sony RX100 III. In the end I chose this camera and I am absolutely convinced it was the right choice. The camera has amazing low light capability and is the right size. It has a great feel and the controls are very easy to use. The quality of the photos are also so close to those of the SLR that it is almost hard to notice unless you can compare them directly. The speed of the SLR is sometimes missed, but the size more than makes up for it. The only negative about this camera that I see is the battery, however this can be addressed by carrying a couple of the tiny almost weightless batteries.

Bought this to supplement a big Canon DSLR. Has many of the same features, very flexible settings, neat swivel screen, feels solid to hold, quick to respond etc. Shoots RAW images as well as JPEG, good results and also very good HD video no 4K. Controls for speedapertureISO etc easy to access. For a very compact camera that fits in a pocket, it is excellent, but it is never going to be as good as a DSLR. Non the less well worth looking at, and I am happy with it as an enthusiastic, knowledgeable amateur. If you just want a simple compact camera, the G9 might be better. You can just set the G7 on auto everything and get good results however.I would have liked a view finder, but you have to pay a lot more. The WiFi feature and iPhone App are OK but I find it takes too long for the phone and camera to see each other and connect. The remote shooting feature is cool though. Transferring GPS data is plain fiddly. The supplied printed manual is very basic. The download manual is very comprehensive, but you cant carry it around as easily can youShop around. I got a great deal through JL and Black Friday discount and Canon cashback.

I havent used this too much yet. Poor weather and illness has prevented it. But it seems to produce good results and it is easy to use. It can do more than I will probably ever need. There have been adverse comments about the instruction manual but it is easy to download, transfer to ebooks and use on a mobile phone. I mainly use aperture priority and I have uncluttered the screen too many icons and reassigned the video button to accessiso. Purchased Crumpler Drewbob 100 bag for it which fits perfectly and means I can carry a spare battery. Fits in pocket or attaches securely to belt.

For a point and shoot, this is just about the best camera youre going to get. The video quality and picture quality are superb for a point and shoot. That said… the reason Im only giving it two stars are a. price point and b. the difficulty of mounting external audio. Ill say that the onboard audio isnt terrible, but external audio mounting is nice for things like high wind conditions. And the price point is nearly as high as itd be to just buy a DSLR.

Dont let the small body fool you. The G7X ii is a beast when it comes to image quality. Hands down, its the one camera Im sure to take everywhere with me. It has its quirks and tradeoffs, but raw image quality, high burst rate, and overall ergonomics are among the best in such a small package. In fact I bought this camera a few years ago used, sold it to finance some other gear purchases, and ended up buying it again because I missed it so much.

I use this camera when I travel. Has a great stabalizer feature so I dont necessarily need extra equipment to do the job. It came highly recommended. Both the image and video quality is incomparable. It has builtin WiFi so I can transfer photos and videos to my smartphone using the Canon Camera Connect app. All around great camera, worth every penny.

The main reason for purchasing the new Mark II was to avoid carrying my 5D Mark III and backpack o lens on every outing. I recently returned from Uganda and used a Canon Powershot as my inpocket camera, and although it is ok in a pinch, I wanted something closer to the Mark III quality, but still pocketsize. First, the G7 X Mark II is not a replacement for my Mark III, but after only a weekend Im very impressed. The quality of the images is better than expected bit grainy at zoom, and the quality of the video is excellent. And whilst Im a bit of a purist, I found many of filters in SCN mode to provide surprisingly great shot effects the Toy Camera, Panning, and Miniature Effect are favorites. The more time I spent exploring the camera the more I found to like. I was concerned about the lack of a viewfinder, but after spending time shooting, I didnt miss it. I actually liked that I could tilt the screen up when taking ground level shots vs shooting blind with my 5D. A few things I dont like I have an early lovehate relationship with the touch screen. Its takes a few seconds more than Id like to find what Im looking for and set parameters for a shot vs the quickness and ease of my 5D Mark III. And although the touch screen is typically very responsive, but I found myself having to press twice on some menu items. This camera is small and I have big hands, but I still found it difficult to tilt reverse the screen for a selfiestyle shot and reach the shutter button when using one hand. And very annoyingly, when utilizing HDR or some of the other filters, it takes the camera from 3 to 7 seconds for the busy progress bar to complete before showing you a previewand you are unable to continue to shoot while you wait. Put simply, I do see my 5D staying home more. The G7 is my new Aston Martin daily driver, and the 5D will continue to be my highperformance Ferrari. But, if youve never driven a Ferrari, youll never complain about the Aston Martin.

Maybe no camera is perfect. I just got back from a trip with G7 M2 and it worked rather well. Focusing is generally good, but a couple of times it kept wanting to focus on the wrong subject. Background defocusing mode is interesting, but you have to be careful with it as results come out somewhat unrealistic and it takes a few seconds to buffer. I also tried the handheld night shot and it worked very well. End result is almost like shooting in daylight. Built in lens cover got stuck a few times, probably because of dust, so be careful, this is not an all weather camera. Auto mode is good, but I wish there was a little more basic customizing in it. For all custom options you must be in Scene or other modes to be able to change parameters. Its not the smallest compact camera, but I was able to carry it in my short pocket with no problems, so if you are looking for portability this is not a bad choice. Overall pretty happy with it, at least for basic kidhomevacation photography.

I love this camera Better than an iPhone camera Its super easy to use. As a new camera woman I went ahead and read the manual. It hasnt failed me yet Im a hairstist and I do YouTube videos so I needed something clear that had a good camera and good screen. The special effects are great The quality is outstanding Ill be doing a YouTube review soon

I purchased this camera in October of 2018. Never once used it. Its been in the box the entire time. I turned it on for the first time and the screen was black. Everything seems to work on it except, you cant see anything. Some of this is my fault for waiting so long to even use the thing, however, no one should have to turn on their camera for the first time and not be able to use it. Now, I have lost out of money and have no camera. If this is the type of cameras theyre going to send, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME My advice, purchase big priced items like this somewhere you can get coverage for repairs once the warranty goes out. So dissappointed

After a lot of research and consideration looking at all the small, pocketpurse sized cameras available and what they offered, to my own surprise, I ended up choosing the G7XII. I started my search by liking everything about the more expensive G1XIII EXCEPT for that high price I wanted a zoom that went to 100 or more rather than 72, and I especially wanted the faster f1.82.8 lens because I wanted to shoot in some low light interiors in particular during an upcoming vacation. I didnt initially like the G7XII because I wanted a viewfinder and had previously decided I would not buy another compact camera without one, but the G7XII had enough great features I wanted now compared to all the other cameras available that I broke down and got it as I was about to leave on vacation recently. I have mostly been very pleased with this camera, more so than I anticipated. The focus and exposure are almost always spot on for the scene and light Ive shot in, which ranged from low light interiors to late day shots, sunsets, and sunny day landscapes. Focus is reasonably fast, although DPAF would be better In fact, this camera is so good I got lazy and ended up mostly shooting on auto just to make things easy. The G7XII allows you to concentrate on composition instead of fiddling around with various settings. Im not a big video shooter, but I did a few short videos and the video capability is quite good and enough for my needs. I dont care at all about 4K video. I played around with digital zoom a couple of times, and its barely passable if not zoomed out too far, but not good enough to use unless you absolutely have to. I especially like the touch screen functions, and the tilt screen came in very useful a few times so Im glad to have that. The LCD screen is large, bright and clear. To my surprise, I found I didnt especially miss the viewfinder except in a few overly bright light situations. That said, Id still rather have a viewfinder as with the next G5X or G1XIII. The menus are very good and quick to access, also very intuitive. The G7XII is probably heavier than some other small cameras, but it has a beautiful, solid build that I really like. Despite its small size, it feels like a real camera and not a toy. Unlike many small Canon and other brand cameras, it has a nice little grip on it so its not a slippery bar of soap like so many tiny cameras. Overall, I dont regret my purchase although I do hope Canon makes future improvements to this very popular camera or perhaps to the G5X needs a bigger sensor perhaps, newer processor.

Love this camera, its the only camera I like to use for my YouTube videos. Well now I have an even smaller camera to take outside with me, so now I get to keep this camera at homeeven less chances of damaging it lol. I told my husband Ill never get rid of this camera, Ill use it for sit down videoswhich most of my contents are sit down vids. Its just such a great camera. Super easy to use and I get really good quality videos. The only issue is sometimes it wont focus.

LOVE this camera especially for vlogging I use this for my Youtube videos and it is so much better than my iPhone camera. The camera is super easy to use and great at recognising faces. I use this with the gorillapod tripod which makes it a lot easier to carrry. The only MAJOR downfall is that there is no input for the mic For a high functioning camera the mic is such a flaw when you try to vlog.

I love my Nikon DSLR, but I dont love hauling it around all day if Im sightseeing with family friends as opposed to out specifically to do serious photography. Ive been on the hunt for awhile to find a camera that would take decent photos and decided on the G7X Mark II. Theyre hard to find, but I did finally get my hands on one this weekend. Its still early, but heres what I can tell so far. It turns on quickly, is decently responsive although you certainly will not mistake it for a DSLR, focuses well in good light takes a bit longer in low light, to be expected. Images are reasonably well detailed and crisp when viewed full screen on a computer monitor, although if you are looking full size at the pixel you will definitely notice the difference from a DSLR. However, the images are substantially better than my old Powershot G15. Im not sure Id want to make very large prints from some of these files, but for my use case sharing online and making smaller prints to share the quality seems quite good. I like the feel of the camera, and I do enjoy having the lens ring to set my aperture opening when shooting aperture priority. Quick menu seems to have most settings I want in the field ISO, white balance, etc exposure compensation has its own dial. The WiFi is a little cumbersome to set up with a PC but pretty simple for a phone or tablet. I like being able to transmit my photos to my phone while shooting and then text them to friends, though. The Canon Android app works for adding GPS data to photos although its a bit of a kludge, and in my first day using it seems to be a fairly big battery drain on my phone. So far I enjoy shooting with the G7X Mark II and am pleased with the image results. It is much more powerful and versatile than shooting with my phone without much more weight and bulk. This is not going to replace my DSLR by any means, but it will make afternoons sightseeing a lot more pleasant. Im glad I bought it.

This I personal usevlogging camera and I adore it Its really compact, with HD 1080 60 fps video recording which gives a really good smooth effect to the images. The stabilization is crazy, you can walk and even run with it and barely will notice the shaking effect. The automatic mode is really good too, with a good white balance which I think its really important. I think its an amazing camera for Youtube purposes too. Really easy to use, with a good range of zoom in the lens that allows you to get a wide angle or very zoom for details. Being so compact make it really nice to transport and take with you everywhere. For photography I think its a good camera too. Not professional but you can get so good results if you use the manual mode. You need a bit of practice if you are not a photographer but will be a quick learning And you can connect it with your phone so you can see what are you doing in video mode or transfer your photos directly to the phone and edit them in Lightroom or other App you have for this purposes. The bad part is that you cant change the lens and put a external mic either. But I think if you want a very usable and portable camera, this is the best option with a really good quality

This is a handy little camera but I did struggle with getting the focus correct especially for macros. I thought it looked ok in the view but when I looked on the pc, the image was focused on the wrong subject. I didnt expect Full Frame speed or precision but I was hoping I could leave my good camera home occasionally. This is a good try but Im still searching for that great shooter in a compact body like this.

I own a very expensive DSLR and this camera is better. Its much easier to use and the compactness of the camera makes it so much easier to take with you. Now I forego my DSLR For this beauty and Ive never looked back. I travel a lot and having this camera has made that so much easier. Its come with me on glaciers, on crew ships, on hikes into the mountains, and even on just daytoday walks. Its very easy to carry, and it takes incredible pictures. These pictures definitely rival my DSLR and the ease of use makes this camera both worth the money and the compliments youll get about how amazing your photos look after your trips

This camera is really good for all levels. I use this to record my YouTube videos and take pictures of my products. The features are by far amazing. The sound is the best and carries over well. I broke my first camera by accident fell off tripod and its hard to get lens fixed because canon does provide parts. They just replace it with a refurbished one 100 cheaper than the one on sale..So I purchased it again. Thats just how much I love it

Heading to Italy for a 10 day vacation, I didnt want to bring by Canon 7D II and L Series lenses the 2470 and the 70200. It would be just too much baggage and weight, and take away from the vacation having to lug a heavy bag around, and worry about it getting stolen. So I bit the bullet and paid for the PowerShot G7 X II by no means a cheap option. After using this camera for the past 10 days I just got back from Italy today, I would recommend this pocket sized unit to anyone who wants to take near professional quality pictures, yet keep it tucked in their pants pocket when not in use. Main comments 1. Very small profile. I have medium to large size hands, and this unit is surprisingly small and light. As seen in the picture I added to this review, it literally fits in the palm of my hand, and slips into my jeans pocket when not in use. 2. While I usually shoot everything in RAW Im primarily a sports photographer I checked on the RAW processing capability of my current software, and it didnt support it. So I decided to just shoot in JPEG on the trip. Each evening or so, Id wifi transfer the images from the G7 to my IPAD Pro, and the only softwareapp I used for processing was Photos. The pictures below are slightly cropped, and lightly edited meaning the JPEGs that came out of the camera required little to no work. 3. With a 24100mm range, I was really able to capture some far away shots,. When a military plan flew over us while at the Roman Forum, I quickly took a few pics and came away with some cool shots marrying an ancient building with a modern military plane. 4. My only real beef is with the battery life. It basically lasted 125175 jpeg shots per charge, which meant on some days I had to recharge midafternoon. If I had known that, I would have simply bought a second battery unfortunately, photo stores were hard to find in Italy, and when I did find one, this battery wasnt available.

I normally use a large DSLR but am about to do a trip to Pakistan. To have my large camera around my neck is like saying Please Mug Me This little camera is capable of excellent results with the same processor as my Canon 6d Mk 2. It fits in the pocket and is easy to use. I do a lot of street photography and a small camera does not attract attention. Really pleased with this little gem

This is a great starter set, I had been thinking about getting the camera for a while, but when I saw this set I couldnt help myself. The camera is fantastic and produces really great quality video footage and photos. It has a long lasting battery and the SD card is just the right size for starting out. The tripod easy to use and the flexible legs mean you can have fun positioning the camera in different places. I could recommend this set more if your looking to get a video camera

I have had this camera for a few months and needed time to get used to it. I stepped up from a power shot sx230 hs which had a nice zoom and was easy to just put in my pocket or purse. This camera is heavier, chunkier and much more sophisticated. Im still figuring it out, but it is amazing with the digic 7 sensor and all the bells and whistles. The zoom is good for closer things but you wont be able to do wildlife long shots…however it has cropping that does work to bring the subject closer. All in all, it is a very nice camera. If you have large hands the buttons are easily pushed when you dont want them to be as it is very compact. I like the touch screen that is like your smart phone. Using it is the best teacher as I found the instruction book that came with it hard to understand. I go back to it after I have used the camera. Still learning Also the tilt screen is wonderful. After getting used to having that capability I would miss it if it werent there

Compact and lightweight. WIFI is nearly impossible to connect. USB cord cannot transfer files. I have to take the memory card out and use a card reader.Issues with autofocus sometimes, it just went out of focus, lost for a few seconds before regaining focus.

Ive used this camera for over a year for vlogging, documenting my road trip from Indiana to the Grand Canyon, and taking HD photos for my family and friends. The battery always lasted long enough for the days adventure. The camera itself is incredibly easy to use, adjust settings, and to upload photos and videos to my computer. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants to get into videos or photography. Its one of the best budget cameras on the market, great value for the price.

Knowing I was taking a 3 week trip to Hawaii, I researched Point and Shoot cameras to find one to take with us. This camera received rave reviews. After the newer model came out a couple of months before my trip, I thought about purchasing it but it seemed to get bad reviews about its autofocus ability and everyone said this older model was better. So, about 10 days before departing on the trip, I ordered this camera bundle from Best Buy. As you will learn later, this was a horrible purchase. Before I review the camera itself, let me start by saying this is the most pathetic tripod I have ever used. I did not take my older tripod because this one was smaller and I assumed it functioned like every other tripod I have used. Boy was I surprised when I tried to attach the camera to the tripod to take a picture in a vertical orientation. The swivel head only swivels maybe 45 degrees to the side and therefore you can never use this tripod to take a vertical picture. This seems completely stupid. Almost every time I needed a tripod, it was for a vertical shot so I completely regretted not discovering this before I left home. If you never need to take a vertical shot, this tripod is fine but I fail to see the point of making a tripod that isnt able to take a vertical shot. Now on to the review of the camera. Before leaving home, I took a couple of shots with the camera to make sure I could show my husband the basics of using this camera as he would be the primary user of it. The camera worked fine. Once we arrived in Hawaii, we took a couple of pictures that evening before going to bed and once again the camera worked fine. The first full day of our trip was the first day the camera would really get used to take multiple shots in multiple situations. That morning we had booked a tour to take us around to different locations used in the TV show Hawaii 50. We had been on the tour for a couple of hours and were in the van riding to the next destination when I heard the camera make a clicking noise. I looked over at the camera in my husbands hands and the lens was retracting itself back into the body of the camera. He showed me the screen and it said lens error before the camera went off. He tried turning the camera back on and the same clicking noise and error occurred. We had to finish the tour without the use of this camera. I took the battery out of the camera and after returning to the hotel room we decided to try the camera again. After reading online to try to focus the camera on the floor as you turn it on, I tried this and the camera magically began to work againfor 5 daysand then the error happened again. This time, we were taking a selfie using the camera and the clicking noise happened again. I tried taking the battery out of the camera for a while and focusing on the floor again. This time, the camera kept giving the error. Then, I tried turning the camera on and immediately trying to zoom. This allowed the camera to stay on. However, as soon as I tried taking a picture and barely touched the zoom, the same clicking noise and the same lens error occurred. I called Canon technical support and the representative did not seem surprised at all when I told her what had happened. She said the only thing to do was to send the camera back to Canon and they would send me a new camera. She said they do not even fix cameras with this error they just replace them. I explained that I was on a 3 week trip to Hawaii and still had 2 weeks left in the trip and now would have no camera but that didnt matter. I was given no other options. So, for the last 2 weeks of our 3 week trip, this camera became not so affectionately referred to as the brick. Every now and then I would try the brick again to see if I could get it to work but it never worked again on the trip. When we got home from the trip, I tried the camera again and it still did not work. Because of the Christmas season, it took me a few days to get the camera packaged up and sent back to Canon. Just before I packed it up, I tried it one more time. Guess what It worked. I tried it several more times for a few days and it continued to work. I called Canon back and explained this to them and they said to go ahead and send it back to them even though it was currently working. I have not received any communication back from them yet but that is because of the New Years Holidays. I really hope they dont just send me back the brick. However, no matter what they send me, I will always be afraid that the next shot will be the one that gives me this error. The other thing is, if the camera had not fixed itself on the first day of my trip, I was still within my return window at Best Buy and there was a Best Buy location on Oahu where I was. By the time the camera broke again 5 days later, I was on an island that did not have a Best Buy location. I regret not taking it back to Best Buy on Oahu but who wants to spend a valuable day of their vacation dealing with a problem on a very expensive piece of brand new equipment that should have worked out of the box, especially when it is working againThe bottom line is I still dont know what Canons resolution to this problem will be and even if they replace the camera, I will definitely never take it as my only camera on a trip. I really wish I could just return the camera because I will never have confidence in it after this experience. I had bought this camera based on reviews but also based on the fact that I had a very old Canon Camera that worked great for years. I was loyal to the brand but I will not be loyal to Canon anymore. They have broken my trust. I explained to the first Canon representative that I bought this camera because I didnt just want to use my phone to take pictures on my trip. I wanted to use a real camera. The lesson I learned is that I would have been better off using the money this camera cost to buy one of the newest iPhone models which would have taken excellent pictures and never given me a lens error. Its gotten harder and harder to find real cameras since the advent of the camera phone. Perhaps Canon should think about the reason for the decline in sales is because of dependability And, perhaps you should think long and hard before you spend this kind of money on a BRICK

Given the small size, this camera is awesome. I have a really easy way to describe the image quality its very similar to an APSC DSLR with a kit lens. That may not sound like the highest praise but given its a pocketable camera I think thats really awesome. This makes sense too given that the smaller sensor is compensated for by the wider aperture. This means the image quality is significantly better than a smartphone camera, but obviously not as good as a DSLR with a prime or highend zoom lens. ISO 800 is good, 1600 isnt bad probably fine for an 8×10 print, and 3200 is mainly good for small prints or sharing on the web. The lens is more than sharp enough for most purposes. I would be comfortable printing a 16×20 out of this camera and hanging it on the wall for comparison I usually limit my iPhone pictures to 5×7 and my 6D I would do 20×30 assuming I used a good lens. The ergonomics are surprisingly good. My main other camera is a Canon 6D, and that has better ergonomics, but given the G7X II has twin control dials one around the lens and a wheel on the back you could argue the G7X II controls are better than most of the Canon Rebels. The touchscreen works really well very responsive, well thought out, and the grip helps a lot over the old G7X and the Sony rx100 series. I love the exposure comp dial and being able to tilt the screen up or down I wish my 6D had these two features. My expectations were low for the autofocus and the camera exceeded them. That said, I havent tried it on action, but Ive noticed it start to struggle with slow action, so I imagine faster subject could be tough. Digging into the setting may help a little though. The image stabalization works really well. Both sample shots I included were handheld at 110 of a secondand I dont have the steadiest hands. Theyre completely sharp. Both shots are RAWs converted exported from Lightroom with no adjustments. The only thing I would reasonably want improved is the addition of some sort of PDAF or DPAF if Canon starts making their own 1 inch sensors. I was really bummed when the Nikon DL series got delayed so much because I thought this would be a great feature. The high framerate and 4K video in the DL or rx100 V would be a nice to have but not essential for me and certainly not worth 300 extra. Same story for an EVF. Itd be nice to have but if it adds significant size or expense Im fine without it.

I received this camera within 24 hours via FedEx and I couldnt be happier The camera is absolutely stunning. I am still learning how to use it and transfer photos from camera to phonelaptop. I will be using this camera for YouTube videos and cannot wait I ordered the bundle which came with 2 batteries, a battery charger, 32gb SIM card, camera, wrist strap, and small tripod. Thank you Best Buy for another great purchase Only reason I have given 4 stars is because I have not been able to see my photosvideos on a big screen to confirm if resolution is perfect

I purchased this as I was about to go on a short vacation, and wanted something that would take better pictures than I could with my iPhone. I selected this one for its features, and priceperformance. With a 1 sensor, this camera was able to deliver detailed images. The F1.8 lens allows for low light photos. The 24100mm 35mm equivalent zoom range is also pretty decent for an point and shoot. While I wasnt primarily interested in the cameras video capabilities, I discovered this is also quite good. Image stabilization on the G7X Mark II is very good and it was quite handy for taking short video clips. Apparently this is a popular camera among YouTubers because of its onthego video capabilities. This camera is typically compared with the Sony DSC RX100 VI, which sells for about 300 more than the Canon G7X Mk II.

Great camera for taking pictures and video Easy to set up and the image quality is good the camera is feature packed and I need to take the time to learn more about photography and all these features. The camera body is a bit small and Im always worried Ill end up dropping it but aside from this, Im happy with the performance of the camera. Now, its just a matter of making the time to learn how to use the different features.

I bought a Canon G7X Mark ii camera because it sounded like the perfect camera for what I needed. I wanted a camera that was small and compact, but I didnt want to sacrifice on picture quality. I really enjoyed the camera and found it to be super easy to use. The only issue that I had with it was that it didnt have all of the functionality that I wanted in a camera that was THIS expensive. I ended up returning the camera and buying a Canon M5 Mirrorless camera instead. While that camera is definitely quite a bit bigger than this one, the lenses are interchangeable and it suited my needs better. But I am still giving this camera 5 stars because I think that it works beautifully for someone who just wants a point and shoot camera that works without needing much thought or effort. It is small and lightweight, takes nice photos and videos, and is easy to use. Its also nice to be able to see yourself in the screen above the camera if it is pointed back at you. Great buy, especially if you dont need the bells and whistles of a more advanced camera

I was looking for a portable camera that I could carry in my pocket. I have a couple other Canon cameras, so I naturally decided to purchase the G7X Mark II.Overall, its a good camera. The image quality is great in good lighting, but the amount of noise in higher ISO images is a bit disappointing. Its autofocus is fairly quick, but sometimes it doesnt lock the first time. It has a good zoom range for a compact camera, and the lens quality is good.I took pictures and video in a variety of lighting conditions. It does very well for shooting video in lowlight, and is a very impressive camera in this regard. On day 2, I noticed that the camera had a hot pixel while shooting video. Ultimately, I returned the camera for this flaw, so I did not have much of an opportunity to test it beyond a few days. I could not find an option in the menu to remap the hot pixel. The time I did spend with it was a pleasure, and it was a good camera. The image colors are true to Canon, and embody the warmth that Canon is known for. If the still images were sharper in lower lighting conditions and if it did not have the hot pixel during video, I would have kept the camera.

I was in the market for a quick point and shoot camera that will offer quality pictures of a DSLR. While its not dslr status it is a great alternative.Auto Focus is clear and quick enough. The size and weight is fantastic.Video features are also great. No 4K capabilities but realistically I think 4K needs more development in technology.I compared this to a Sony rx100v. The Sony by far will destroy this camera but there were two critical requirements that the Sony could not deliver.1. Touch screen AF2. 180 deg Tilt screenBtw buy an extra battery a factory Canon. The generic batteries are questionable.

Pros Very easy to get good photos the automatic settings adjust well to different conditions. Touch screen focusing makes for easy composing.Good quality gripper tripod provided and a memory card.Cons Lack of a printed manual having to read online all the time a nuisance. Guide to the main controls at least would be a help more than the start up leaflet provides.

The Canon G7X Mark II is a well made solid camera FYI Made in Japan that produces impressive pleasing images that competes well with my more expensive DSLRs. Very solid little camera with a metal body that feels like it is built to last. Screen quality is sharp and clear and the articulated movement is handy for those low angle or above head shots. Touch control is responsive and menu easy to follow. Many photo options, special effects and ability to shot in 14bit RAW. The JPEGs have a very pleasing slightly warm white balance which reminds me of Kodachrome slides back in the day. Plenty of resolution which can be cropped easily. There is enough adjustment in screen brightness for shooting in daylight. Zoom lens which extendsretracts smoothly is very good quality and great for most situations, including low light. My only minor quibble is that although the builtin memory buffer can quickly take in a rapid series of images, it is a bit slow to subsequently unload them into your SD card, so you might have a few second wait until its ready for the next series of shots. Rubber grip is welcome and easy to hold, carry around and shot with one hand. This versatile compact camera just feels like quality and produces marvelous sharp images you will certainly enjoy Leave that heavy DSLR at home and give this little wonder a try.

I purchased this camera because I wanted to be able to have a camera with me for those sudden opportunities. My 7D is wonderful, but too bulky to carry with me at all times. When purchasing I was specific that a new camera would shoot in RAW. Which this one does. But now I find that neither my version of Photoshop 12 nor my other software, BreezeBrowserPro, are able to convert G7s RAW into jpgs. The email I received from BBPro after inquiring was Canon only provide raw conversion libraries for their DSLR cameras. Imagine my surprise and disappointment.I have yet to contact Cannon, but until this is resolved I will only be shooting only jpgs. I only gave a 3 star rating because of the RAW issue. As a jpg camera I would up the rating, and when recommending it to a friend I would mention the RAW issue.

I am mostly very happy with this camera. Im no camera expert so I can only give you my average Jane review but I can say that it takes great pictures and is also generally good for short videos. I say short because it will switch the video off after around 15 00minutes and after watching someones video on YouTube whose camera does the same, I realised its to prevent it overheating. The auto focus is another feature that is sorely lacking. Whilst I was aware that its not the best, I didnt realise just how hard it would be to get the focus right at times when recording a video. Im not sure how it compares to other cameras but overall its pretty nifty and will get you some decent quality footage once youve figured out the autofocus, just be aware that the AF is also rather noisy. I guess even though people rave about it as a vlog camera it is actually better for still images.

I wanted a small, purse sized camera to replace my older Canon S95, and this one was almost perfect. It has a great, solid build quality, a good grip unlike many earlier Canon compacts, superb touchscreen controls and menus and also a good selection of topside controls for quick adjustments. It offers a fast f1.82.8, 24100 lens, and it is superb in very low light such as museum interiors, etc. The oneinch sensor delivers a higher image quality than some of the smaller sensor cameras. The high resolution LCD screen is beautiful and clear and the tilt screen is very useful for high or low shots, or for selfies. Overall, the camera does very well if you can keep ISO reasonably low. The only negative is that it lacks a viewfinder, which I prefer having when shooting outside in bright light. This is definitely the best Canon compact Ive had yet.

Good camera overall, albeit expensive. Pros Generally good image quality and easy to use. Small and comfortable to hold, the grip on the right side feels good if you are right handed. The LCD screen is big and bright, can be seen in bright sunlight though you have to turn up the brightness, also you can change the angle of it. Has MANY shooting options, even a mode for taking star trails. You can also go full manual if you want to. Good battery life. Easily lasts a day or two of shooting. You can charge the battery with a micro USB cable, no need to take it out. Fast transfer of pictures via wifi. Excellent at taking portraits face detection works great. You can even control it remotely with your tabletphone with the Connect app. Cons Very hard to focus on objects up close eg in macro mode. Auto mode is not reliable tends to overexpose. Need to learn to use other shooting modes. The flash is on the left side and not the center, which means that one side gets brighter than the other. It is picky about USB charging cables for some reason. It has to be a charging only one. No view finder not a big deal as the LCD is good enough.

My previous camera was is a Canon PowerShot S90. It has served me well for almost eight years. In fact it is still quite useful, but for some softness in the focus and a darkish lens spot that shows up on some sky photos. Because the S90 was so good and its use was very intuitive to me, I decided to stay with the Canon PS family. The upgrades to features are very exciting brighter lens, faster shutter, more wide, more zoom, bulb exposure, wifi, tilting screen up or down, touch screen, easier flash ops, click or no clicklens ring. The pictures have been crystal clear and vibrant. I am especially pleased with the lowlight shotssteady and low in grain. At max optical zoom the lens is sharper than my S90 ever was. The G7 is a real brick, much thicker and heavier than my old camera. I love the heft of it. It is still plenty small to keep it always on my belt in any situation. The weight is steady the feel is solid. No regrets.

I love the pictures, but there is a lot of audible static hiss in the videos. Ive done everything I could to fix this problem wind filter on and off, attenuator on and off, autofocus on and off, but the static hiss noise remains.Im not an audio expert, but it sounds like maybe the cameras microphone gain is turned all the way up. My six year old Canon G12 which cost less than the G7X Mark II has much better audio and much cleaner audio.I took some videos far from anywhere down by the lake shore. I thought it would be nice to hear the sounds of the lapping water and the occasional distant call of a bird of prey. But in the videos I can barely hear anything over the static rumble and hiss. This is an expensive camera, and a good stereo microphone is a must. Its a good image camera, but it does not rise to its potential because of the poor audio.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone. As a photographer, I love everything this camera has to offer. Its perfect to traveling which is why I originally got it, but now I use it in my everyday adventures and life. I dont think youll be disappointed. The only thing I dont like about canon is their WiFi capability connection with their app canon connect it only last for about 2 minutes at a time. I dont think this is faulty for this camera specifically because I also have a canon rebel t7i. I believe its just their application in general for iPhone. Anyway, you should invest in this camera You wont regret it

I have been a fan of the 1 inch cameras. I am a serious amateur, but need a camera for the pocket, so most DSLR or even mirorless are out for me. I have owned the SONY rx 100 series. That is an incredible travel camera, even better then this canon in some ways. But to me, I do not need the larger zoom on the SOny. The canon combination of 1 inch sensor with the F 1.8 lens and image stabilization, can rival APSC sensors in lower light and certainly in daylight.image quality is amazing, excellent feel and control, fantastic touch screen function. the camera also feels more substantial the Lumix or even the SOny.If you strictly want a travel camera with a bigger zoom, go with the SONY, but if you want an overall day to day camera as a sort of SLR substitute that fits in the pocket. this is the winner. overall, I think Canon really hit a home run with this camera, if used for the right purpose.

I wish I could give the awesome camera a higher rating than 5 stars. It really is one of the absolute best cameras I have ever owned, I decided I wanted a point and shoot camera for the times when I just didnt want to carry my full size camera. SO, I started doing some research to find one that would satisfy me. I am only an amateur photographer, but I wont settle for less than the best. The end result was a comparison between the Sony RX100 and this Canon G7X. So, I went to Best Buy to actually try them both. To hold them in my hands and play with them a little. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how the Sony was rated so highly. My personal comparison showed the canon to be FAR superior in many ways. One of the reasons the Sony reviews rated it highly was due to it having an pop up view finder. I tried it…..and it is so flimsy and fragile that I was afraid I would break it. The Canon doesnt have this feature, but is manufactured so well that Its an engineering wonder. I urge you to take a very close look at this G7X before making a final buying decision. Its so well built…..I just cannot find the words to do it justice. And the features that is does have Wow I love the fact that us will shoot raw photos. I love the auto focus feature that keeps the moving part of your picture in focus. I love the beautiful touch screen and the way the screen folds out. I love the built in wireless and how well it works. The locations of the controls and the ease of operation. I could go on and on about this camera. And, it costs quite a bit less than the Sony. Ive had this G7X for a couple of months now and am so happy with it that Id strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a really good point and shoot camera with features that you usually only see on a full size DSLR. No…..it wont replace the full size DSLR, and you can still do far more with the full size DSLR. But, if your looking for a point and shoot that will satisfy you when you dont have your DSLR, here it is,….. It doesnt zoom as much as Id like, or get you in as close as a DSLR with a zoom lens, but that is about the only real disadvantage I can find on this camera. But within the normal range of this lens it cant be beat. If you need to be able to shoot pictures that are at a distance, and bring them close……..then you may not be so happy with the G7X. But hey, there is no single camera that does it all, is there They all have their pros and cons. But if you need image stabilization, excellent auto focus, fast FPS, and the ability to shoot in the raw format…and great built in wireless….This is by far the best choice for a point and shoot. Dont take my word for it. Go to your local camera store and compare it to the Sony and You will see what Im talking about.

Canon is my favorite brand. The best quality, so easy to use, professional and everything. I use canon cameras only. G7X is the perfect digital camera for everyday use as a youtuber or influencer. This camera just makes your life pictureperfect.

Canon made two versions of the G7X MarkII, the US model and the international model. There are two main differences between these models, the first being that the US model will shoot up to 60fps while the international model shoots up to 50fps. The second main difference between the two models was the power cord for the battery charger. The camera I received came with the US power cord, however will only shoot up to 50fps. I also believe the camera I received is a refurbished model based on scuffs on top of the flash that can be seen in the picture. The box was also in pretty rough condition being beat up, torn and had glue residue where some sort of label has been removed. This camera does seem to function properly. It came with a 64Gb SanDisk Ultra memory card and and inexpensive camera case but no cleaning cloth no biggie I do feel a little duped at the price point I paid for this camera. This is my first disappointing purchase from Overstock. I purchased a new international model from Overstock and was very happy with that purchase. Wish I could upload more than 3 pictures.

The quality of this camera is AMAZING. Almost comparable to a DSLR. I purchased this on amazon for 599 USD and believe it was worth every penny. There are so many different modes portrait, fireworks, lowlight, flourescent, etc. In order for you to get the best picture possible. There are also different settings for videos as well. I like to vlogtake home videos no matter what even is going on and this camera has exceeded my expectations. Not to mention the wifi connectability. So much more simple without cables. Right after you take a photovideo you can immediately send it to your phone or computer to review. The touch screen is very responsive and love the manual touch to focus. Would definitely recommend this camera.

I am absolutely obsessed with this camera I previously had the Canon EOS M50 and I returned it and bought this one. Best decision I ever made. This camera is beginner friendly and its so easy to use. The quality is amazing. The only thing I will say is the battery life is not the greatest so I just had to buy a backup battery. Other than that I have no complains.

Very easy to use and change settings. The flip screen is great to have if youre recording yourself and want to see what youre recording. Fairly fast autofocus and good picture quality for the price point. The zoom is a bit slow but works smoother than other point and shoots where it zooms in way too quick and then you have to zoom back out to get the right focal length. The camera is very portable and can easily fit in your pocket without being very noticeable. The settings and menu are easy to use and adjust and you can record video at 29.97 fps the standard for film, 60 fps or 120 fps to be more adaptable if you want to slow motion your video without having it be jumpy or jittery. One of the only criticisms is it picks up a lot of wind noise through the mic. I was on top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park in Maine and playing it back all I could hear was the wind. Its an easy fix though if you put a windjammer over the mic area to reduce the wind noise if its really gusting. The picture quality is great for a point and shoot and it has a built in flash for low light or if you want to backfill, and has a flash button on the front left near the lens thats pretty ergonomic when taking a picture. Overall its a great portable camera for pictures and video if youre on the go or use it for vlogging. I use mine for vlogging purposes and as a B roll camera when using my DSLR as my main for video. I also use it when Im in a location where its more useful to limit what Im carrying but still need to get great footage. Stick it on a durable selfie stick and youre good to go.

Compact design. Tilt Touch Screen LCD to ensure youre composing the shot you want and focusing where you need to be on the run. Perfect for theme parks and onthego when coupled with the Mini Joby Gorilla Pod. Respectable optical zoom and full range of functionality from as automatic or manually set as youd prefer. Acceptable popup flash fragile. Full HD Video recording at both 30 and 60 fps.So Why No 5 Star Rating You Ask Simple. 3 Major Points. This Canon is NOT capable of 4K video. The Battery life is subpar IMO pick up a couple of extras batteries The Mic is in a lessthanideal location. The natural position for holding the camera tends to cover up the mic. So avoid temptation, pay attention and refrain from natural instincts.. in time your muscle memory will kick in and youll get use to it.

Such a great camera Its not too blunt and heavy so great for travel and to put away in my purse but gives me such great quality picture and videos The screen flips over so you can see yourself when you record or want to take a selfie. Only issue is the focus isnt great. Sometimes it takes a while to focus on something. Night time quality is really great Picks up a lot of light

This camera is great because it takes stills and video and is very compact. The problem is that the video quality is not the greatest. It is 8bit, compressed, poor dynamic range, and little room for color grading. But the compactness of the camera makes it so that youre probably getting more shooting in than you would with camera that produces a higher quality image. So it is a trade off you want to shoot a lot of okay video easily, or you want to shoot rare video that is really great in image quality. I say rare video because any camera capable of producing great images will most likely be impractical to carry around without attracting lots of attention and being just a royal pain in the butt to carry. Another problem with the camera is that there is no mic jack, so running and gunning is severely limited. Leaving on a high note, the cameras image stabilization is pretty darn good So you can easily hand hold and get great shots on the fly.

For the price, this camera is very disappointing. I expected so much more. Pictures are not any better then the pictures I took with my much older Canon point and shoot, which cost me a fraction of the price paid for this camera. Lighting, as well as clarity are very poor, especially when utilizing the wider aperture. Was better off using my cell phone. Serious waste of money.

I recently bought the Canon G7x Mark ii for my trip to Europe and absolutely loved how easy it was to take with me. It is extremely light weight, very compact and fit easily amongst all of my travel items, considering I packed heavy for 6 weeks.I love the quality of the images and absolutely adore the crispness of each shot taken. Especially those taken in Greece Simply amazing and totally Instagram worthyThe selfie flip mode is also one of my favourite features of this camera as it comes in super handy when travelling with others and capturing perfect moments together. selfieThe wifi camera connect system is also a massive plus for me and anyone as it makes it so so so much easier to download your images to your phone and even social media accounts such as Facebook and Instagram. Travelling takes its toll on you so having that option to quickly transfer you photos from camera to phone, anywhere you are, is super convenient aaand you save so much space in your luggage to as you then dont need to pack your laptop etc. bonusI am extremely happy with my purchase and have recommended it to so many of my friends and family two of them have purchased one since themselves You wont regret this purchase thats for sure Well worth the money spent

I normally shoot with a Canon 6D or 70D. Ive done much more than a fair amount of research for a backup to my DSLR when I dont want to lug it around. This camera is fantastic, and based on extensive reviews, its image quality is the highest, even compared to more expensive equivalents. For anyone who has anything negative to say about this camera, they are failing to remember that it is not meant to provide the same quality as an interchangeable lens DSLR where prints can be blown up to billboards. If that was the case, DSLRs would be extinct. This camera even amazes me in lowlight conditions and the video is the best I can expect from a small package. If you feel the need to buy that other brand that competes directly with this camera, you are wasting your money. Plus, this is a very fun camera to shoot with

I used the original G7X for about a year before it fell off my car roof at 45mph.. Loved that camera and after a short amount of research decided to buy another. Had to settle for the Mark ll as the original version had been discontinued. Picture quality is the same A and some pricier cameras may be slightly better. Color rendition seems to be spot on. I like the new auto HD filter which is great for taking pictures of waterfalls when you want a low shutter speed but it is also good on bright days to prevent washouts. The view screen tilts both ways now which is also a handy upgrade. I hike and bike so the optional carrying case with its belt loop works great for my style and I was surprised that the main competition had nothing like it to offer. Overall it is a very good camera to have when you dont want to wrestle with an SLR or lower yourself to using a phone camera. The macro feature is probably the biggest weakness on this camera but it does okay unless that is going to be your primary use. All the features of a big camera in a manageable sized unit. Im going to like this camera too.

Excellent camera purchased through Walmart and provided by TEDs Electronics. I wanted an easy to use point and click camera and chose this one. After receiving the camera I went online and watched videos about using the camera. Although it is a simple point and click camera it has so many other features that I can use it for advanced photo taking. The accessory kit came with all the equipment I need. I looked at brick and mortar stores and searched online and this was by far the best price for all the equipment I received. There were reviews I had read about the equipment packaging saying it was for used only in another country but my camera came with all the packaging it was brand new and no notations that it was not for sale in the US. I would definitely recommend this camera and this TEDs Electronics.

Overall pleased with this cameras quality. We use it for videoing sports and Vlogging. It does not have an external sound input which is a slight knock but the sharpness of both photo and video is above par. Beneficial to have extra batteries as backup and the minitripod is useful and assists the alreadygood video stabilization. I would recommend this camera to a friend.

Taking pictures for personal leisure, hence, there are situations I took picture in Low Light, Full Light environments. I personally dislike the use of Flash, this camera with 1.8 2.8 fast lens work very well for these environment. The LCD panel is solidly built, so is the camera body, focusing is fast, pictures are extremely sharp. I migrate from Canon G12 , the learning curve is smooth, just have to accommodate learning to use the new features. The touch screen features add a lot of fun in setting up the camera. I have this camera for almost 2 weeks now. All in all, extremely good camera. Nevertheless, the battery capacity is so so, I plan to buy a spare battery, for I know I will need it in a trip. Also, I wish Canon provides interface cable, just like in the other Canon cameras. extre 16

This cameras quality is amazing I love how well it takes pictures because when I edit them, theyre still great quality and look good. Its pricey but so worth it.I also love that the screen flips so I can record or take pictures on my own. I do a lot of traveling and blogging so when I dont want to use a DSLR camera, this is my go to Super easy to take in my purse. The one thing that I had issues with at first was getting the flash to manual because automatic doesnt do the best job turning flash on in dim lighting. Flip the flash up, take camera off auto mode, and click the lightning bolt to turn on flash manually.

I use this camera for my entertainment purposes for youtube videsfacebook. The adjustable frame rate for time laps was the big pusher for me buying this camera and it was well worth it, excellent on par quality. The only negative was that it does not contain an external mic port which is the only somewhat bad thing, but the mic is very persistent. To give an idea I was recently filming a 1980 camera fully stocked out at 650 horse power being revved up inside of a garage, to us it was loud and beautiful, thinking that the mic will be blurted, after reviewing footage it picked up what could be used as a sound clip dub over for movies. so the sound was on par. The camera does have weight to it and once you hold it you will understand why, its very strong feeling being made out of almost all metal. This camera does have a variety of different functionsfeatures on it which would be better explained through best buy or the canon website or youtube. I always do my research on an electronic item before buying, I had reviewed over a hundred cameras for 8 months and kept leaning towards the canon g7x mark ii. Definitely check it you do your research and come into the store to see it first hand. Also to add the camera stabilizer if your walking the shot will keep it steady vs shaking is incredible. I use a car mount and this keeps pretty straight and steady on gravel, highways etc. also great for using your time lapse feature. Its well worth every penny, I worked a lot of overtime to afford this camera and I do not regret it.

I bought this because of all the stellar reviews that are online about this camera. It meets all my expectations in daily shooting. In some of the other reviews here I see the complaints about the panoramic function missing. This is no deal breaker by any stretch and performed subpar to begin with. Upload just about any image panorama software for free and it will do a better job. There is no doubt it is a good camera but what is not disclosed in any of the reviews I read are in order of importance to me The macro mode on this camera at best is mediocre, no make that simply bad. It gets no closer than 2 and the peripheral part of the picture is completely out of focus. My G12, G16, 280, 700 all take excellent macro and this simply doesnt. So if this is a function you are looking for in your camera this is not a good choice. The video on this camera is no better than any of the above mentioned cameras. Why is Canon including chargers with an extension cord that I received when they also manufacture the conventional charger with the attached flip out plug.
fotodok –
Serious amateur here, like the 1inch group because for me the most important camera feature is pocketability. Some of the reviews are comparing these cameras to all cameras, which is like comparing apples and oranges. But, of the 3 makers of 1inch sensors, this is clearly the new king. Sony was clearly the leader with the Rx100. But with the 6, they opted for zoom lens over fast lens. Now, with the 1inch sensor and the F 1.8 2.8 4 x zoom, G7x mark 2 is the new leader. Picture quality is fantastic. The fast lens actually lets this rival APSC quality I have a few of those too, and truly do not see a difference minus special lenses of course . The autofocus is very fast and accurate. unlike the new Ricoh GR3 which I found unusable. Video is nice, at 1080 HD, crisp picture, sound, and quick lighting and focus adjustment, although I do not use video that often, so can not really give a fair assessment of that aspect of it.bottom line if you want a serious camera, that can fit in your pocket, this is the best of the bunch right now.

Having used predominately Canon cameras since my first G1, the G7X MKii does not disappoint. Im very happy with the image quality and overall build of the camera. It feels exceptional. So far, Im not disappointed at all at the higher end price for what it still basically a point and shoot. But the 1 sensor and 1.82.8 lens perform very well and that alone has made the increased price worth it in my mind. Where I am fairly disappointed is the battery life. I had read many reviews knocking the battery but I just didnt realize how poor this Canon battery is with this camera compared to every other Canon Ive owned. Ive read a little and Im hoping that after a few more charge cycles I will see a little improvement. I just purchased another Canon battery at nearly 50, only because I wont be able to get even a half day shooting with just one battery. Easily a 45 Star camera, but not with this type of battery performance.

Quality is awesome. Pictures are great and clear. Video quality is fantastic and awesome If youve done your research about this camera and think you want it Get it You wont regret it. Powerful quality in a small body. Very good build quality.

Battery life is not one of its strong points. Let me get that out of the way right away. Not awful but you ought to have a second battery handy if youre going to be out all day shooting. It takes really good photos with little fuss. And the 1 sensor really shows its advantages over the typical point and shoot cameras smaller sensors. Controls are easy to operate and menu is not difficult to navigate. Being able to make settings adjustments with physical dials and buttons and not having to dive into a menu is a relief from other point and shoot cameras. Touch sensitive screen works well. Some sporadic out of focus photos when zooming way out but that may have been more about camera handling skills than anything with the camera itself. Have not been able to repeat the issue. Now when I go out with my DSLR I have a really good P S to take with for the spontaneous shots. And a camera that may be better suited for family outings than always a DSLR.

Got tired of lugging my DSLR around on vacation, so I bought this to take to Kona. The daylight pictures are practically indistinguishable from from my 5D mk3 photos printed at 13 x 19. But there is a fair amount of noise at lower light levels beyond ISO 800. I cant really comment on the JPEG quality since I shoot almost exclusively in RAW. The video is good, but the microphone leaves much to be desired. My only real complaint is the battery life. While it will last all day shooting stills, it really runs down fast when shooting video. I had to buy an extra battery while on vacation to keep from missing shots near the end of the day because of a dead battery.

Pros This is an amazing camera. I use Canon 5D as my primary camera but on my last trip to the White House i was only allowed to carry a small pocket camera. The results inside the White House were as good as my 5D and colors were amazing. As flash photography is not allowed the camera did its job. Pictures were clear and bright. I was shooting in RAW and JPEG mode and RAW prints as I enlarged them were very detailed and crisp. This camera is a pocket professional camera that is small but the results are beyond many other camera I have used. The sony RX would compare to Canon but then again you have a longer zoom and save money. The battery lasted me just fine.Cons I did not see any Cons as this camera does it all well. Better and detailed prints then your cell phone. It stays in the pocket and you dont feel it is there till you need it.Other thoughts If you all searching and looking for a small camera and want professional results that you can make bigger prints and crop your images this is your camera. The focus is very fast and leaving it in auto gets you professional results. Fast shooting and capture. Colors are bright and crisp. Leave the 5D home and carry a small camera to get great results.

VERY amateur user here, G7XII replaced a beloved, but stolen Canon S100, which was easy to love. Learning curve for G7XII much steeper for just occasional use but it does make good photos. Not using vid funcion much yet, so no opinion. All in all, wish I still had the S100, but 100 series not made anymore. Cost more, too but so does everything now. Juice doesnt seem worth the extra squeeze.

I have had this camera for about 6 weeks and have taken approximately 1000 images with it. I bought it primarily as a travel camera I can take on short trips in situations where I do not want to take my DSLR kit. It has performed as advertised and exceeded some expectations. It easily fits in my coat pocket or loose pants. I bought a small belt case which I have found to be very convenient to hold the camera and a spare battery which is necessary. Most important to me, I have been impressed by the clarity, sharpness and overall quality of the images produced, both in RAW and jpeg. I have compared them to similar pictures taken in the past with my other travel cameras and there is simply no comparison. the G7 MkII wins hands down. Low light performance in urban areas has been good as well with very good performance to ISO 400 and acceptable at 800. AF is spot on and the touch screen is enormously helpful with that, though large hands and small screens can be a challenge in choosing the correct area. My only two complaints are the somewhat clunky responsiveness of the zoom function and the short battery life. Achieving a reasonably precise focal length during composition is difficult unless you use the click stops on the lens ring which I really like. If you want a zoom length in between the stops, it is hit or miss. Also, the camera will not last a day of even moderate travel shooting on a single battery charge and a second battery and maybe more if you shoot a lot is a necessity. Overall, I am very pleased with this camera. Image quality has exceeded my expectations as did the AF functioning. Other functions were as expected. I will be using it for a long time to justify the price to me, but it is comparable to competitors from Lumix and Sony. Highly recommend.

I had my old Sony RX100 for a while as a back up for my Canon 5D Mark III, but hiking in remote enough places proved every pound counts I really liked Sonys image quality, but was waiting for a new model which could fulfill my bucket list for some desirable features Now, how does it compare to SonyRX100. I did pretty extensive comparison between these two cameras. Heres my conclusion. 1. Camera grip Canon wins 100, the rubberized grip is very useful. 2. Touch screen love it, changing focus point is nice. Screen is also adjustable, which I really like, too. 3. Now, the image quality. I have an excellent lens on my Sony, with low ISO it can be compared with good primes. So, Canon lens is very close, I would say almost identical resolution wise, shooting targets and whatever, at the pixel level. I also did not notice much of a corner softness, which many sources mention its there, but no more than normal mass production lens would have, at least it is not noticeable at normal viewing sizes. So, sharpness wise lens is very close to Sonys Zeiss. 4. Focusing autofocus is excellent, practically no out of focus pictures. Tried street photography shooting from different positions with no preliminary focusing no problem at all, sharp and clean. Now, the bad Canon is not as portable as Sony, you can still put it in the pocket, but it is larger and slightly heavier, but not a real deal breaker Another point is image quality if you shoot jpeg only. Images are oversharpened. Fortunately, it is adjustable, because default settings look too artificial. Too much noise in shadow areas, even with low ISO, but again, many parameters are adjustable lighting optimizer can be adjusted to your liking, for example which may introduce more noise And of course, battery life, especially if nice features like preliminary focusing are on, or you want a brighter screen. There are generic batteries which work as well as the original one Not disappointed at all

I bought this camera to take my makeup pictures with. Even though its a vlogging camera I do like the quality pictures I get with it. I definitely see a difference with taking pictures on my iphone 7. However I dont think the battery life is good and it doesnt focus well for close up shots, hence the 3 stars. I bought 3 batteries so Im fine with it but its not ideal. Furthermore it is very easy to use so its definitely a good starter camera. These are some pictures I took with the camera.

Some people may like the effect of extreme blur around the edges, shallow depth of field, and difficulty focusing on super close ups. I did not. Im able to get within a couple inch of the lens on all my other point and shoots and have the whole frame be perfectly clear, while this is less than 14 of the frame in the center MIGHT obtain focus. It is easier on manual and definitely not on auto focus for video. Unfortunately I just found this to be too restrictive for my needs. The image quality was pretty nice if your photo subject is at least a couple feet away. The colors were pretty good for florals. And one really spectacular thing about this camera is its low light abiltiies. I was able to take clear shots in the car at night of all the interior acheat lights, christmas lights on the house etc. Not many other cameras of this type are that good for that. So, if people and night scenes are your thing, this is for you

Id been thinking of getting a good point and shoot camera, that was easy to carry around and this fit my needs. I currently have a cheaper one that I wanted to replace. I wanted to be able to take good pictures and videos. After much research this was my choice and Im glad I chose it. I also didnt want to spend a fortune on a smart phone to take better pictures. This camera will be great for vacations to carry around easily. The price was the same at most sites I visited. And the fact that is was in stock was my reason to get it. I wanted to be able to see it and feel it. From what Ive seen so far Im very happy with it. It seems to be a high quality product.

This camera has been one of my dream cameras for years, Ive seen so many youtubers use it but was never able to buy it myself until recently. I would say its perfect but one slight thing annoys me a bit about it and thats the autofocus sound, but aside from that Ive started getting adjusted to it and it doesnt bother me anymore, its the perfect sized camera to carry with you anywhere, and the video quality is really nice If you are thinking about purchasing this Id recommend going to a Best Buy store and testing it out with the display model and then make your decision. With that being said I do really love this camera

This is a high performance camera with a good range of features. The picture quality is very good and the camera is easy to use. It certainly matches many DSLR cameras and has the advantage of being much smaller. The Auto option produces excellent images for times when you just want to point and shoot, but there is a full range of standard DSLR features for more advanced use. The hand held night option is particularly effective thanks to the high quality f1.82.8 lens. The lack of a viewfinder may be an issue for some but this hasnt been a problem so far. It just takes a bit of getting used to.For anyone who wants a really good camera that can be carried in their pocket or handbag, the G7X Mk2 can certainly be recommended. Indeed, due to its size advantage and picture quality we now use it more than our full size DSLR camera.

Pros I like all the different options, however remembering what they are and where they are slows me downCons WiFi connection was a struggle at first, now seems better. WiFi connection at nonhome location e.g. hotel room requires password or push button access that may not be available. Unable to connect using NFC but that might be down to my lack of knowledge.

Im an avid hiker and I bought and used this camera when I went to the southwest I have gone to 4 National parks with this camera and have so many amazing pictures I have carried this camera on many ten mile hikes and captured great pictures at the top. Great videos too Amazing night pictures of you learn to set appeture correctly. I love this camera I just wish the battery had a longer life Also, buy a good little soft pack to keep Lens and screen from getting scratched

All features are easy to utilize and will support all digital editing. Stop by your local electronic store like Best Buy, Walmart or even Target Get started began capturing every moment.

We began purchasing Canon Powershot cameras back in 2003 with the A series and have been through six upgrading each along the way. In general, we love the Powershots and how well they hold up. I take a lot of pictures and have taken in excess of 75,000 pictures on each of the cameras before we upgrade.Prior to this purchase we were using the G15 and I didnt think it could get any better, but the G7 Mark II has completely impressed me. Out of the box, it is smaller and lighter than the G15 and other Powershots that came before. I have been a fan of the flip and twist LCD but I realize it adds bulk. The new flip up design of this LCD is surprisingly useful and they still managed to package it into a smaller case.In general, the shooting options seem identical to the prior versions but seem more accessible as they are easily selected either by dial or touchscreen. There are also some great bonus features like face recognition with identification that allows for data to be imprinted into the file for future searching. As I have come to expect from Canon, the picture quality stands out. I have especially been impressed at the low light capabilities. In fact, I am learning to trust the camera more and more as I play around with situations in which I would expect to need a flash and yet the camera doesnt indicate the need. You virtually always get a better picture when you dont have to rely upon a flash and this camera allows you to to get those pictures more often. In summary, I highly recommend the G7 Mark II to anyone looking for the convenience of a point and shoot but still wanting the ability to create high quality photos.

It does have a lot of bells and whistles, and Im still learning it, BUT THE VISUALS IT LEAVES YOU WITH ARE AMAZING I got it for vlogging, and I am very happy so far. Pictures are gorgeous too. I have SO MANY CAMERAS i surely hope I can use this for a long time..I hope it stands the test of time.. I am very happy. It was very expensive, and money doesnt grow on trees for me, so it took a while to swallow the price tag, but now that its almost all paid for I am do glad I did it. I have watched a lot of youtube videos on quick demonstrations to use this bad boy and its been VERY HELPFUL. I bought this camera before and I was overwhelmed and returned it. When you get it, give yourself time to understand it. In the heat of the moment I sometimes push too many buttons and I get lost. Take your time. for example I was at the golden gate bridge and trying to selfie some timer shots, People around and trying to hit the right buttons, subject getting antsy, bright outside and cant see well, and LOTS OF CHOICES to accidentally toggle to…it gets overwhelming, but take your time and the results will be beautiful.

Mine didnt come with all the accessories but they didnt have an option for just the camera. It performs phenomenally. This camera travels with me all the time. My favourite part is being able to send your photos to your phone anytime, anywhere by creating a wifi hotspot with the camera. Like the touchscreen too

This little guy is amazing I use it mainly for vlogging and occasion sit still videos and he has not let me down yet The quality of the videos is great. The fact that the screen can flip up so you can see yourself while recording is amazing. I have to comment on the size aswell I have tiny hands and this camera is the perfect size for me to hold. However, I did still decide to get a handheld tripod. Its not a huge negative, but I will mention it, the battery life I expected to be a bit longer. Depending on how much filming I do, it can last half a day Sometimes 34 of the day. But I did expect that as I have seen lots of you tubers buy multiple batteries and have them all charged ready to go. None the less, an amazing camera for me

Pros The video quality is outstanding I couldnt recommend this kit enough.Cons It doesnt didnt come with a wire to connect camera to the laptop. Luckily , I had spare wires lying around that did the job so it wasnt an issue for me.

I came here looking for a tech question and stumbled across some unfair reviews from people who sound like they know little about photography, much less this great camera. Ive had mine for three years now and its been so good its made it hard for me to find anything else that compares in its size and price range. That includes a couple other bodies from camera companies named after mountains. The G7X Mark II is TRULY pocketable, has nice fast lens, the swivel touchscreen is awesome and it takes good video, too. And dont forget those Canon colors. There is a newer model that adds 4K and some other features but this a great little camera.

Ive owned Canon since 1976, and computers since 1984. I meant to order the Mark 3 iii, but accidently ordered this one. I did not pay attention to the price, so I did not notice the difference. Anyway, Im totally unsatisfied with this one. No cable to connect to the computer, and the wifi does not connect to my computer or router. Further, I expected a firmware update, but I cannot even find the firmware version in the camera to see if it needs updating. Since I have other Canon digital cams, Im familiar with the software. Would love to trade up to the Mark 3.

Now that I have run a few thousand exposures through this camera, Im not that happy with it. I shoot a lot of close distances and the auto focus cant seem to get it right even with touch screen. It always tries to focus to further points. Very annoying. The dialed back 2 inch minimum focus is also a problem. I could get much closer with my G16. G16 also had a viewfinder and hot shoe. Those are gone.Sometimes I have been impressed with superior sharpness and overall image quality but it seems you need to make more exposures to get a good one. Lots of deleting and do overs. It does well middle distance and beyond which makes it marginally better than a phone. I appreciate having f11.I bought this recently and it seems a lot of money to not be well satisfied. I ran my last two G series cameras long and hard. They still work. I knew I shouldnt start using these high mileage units again. I just got a SX 740. Well see how it goes. It does focus to 1 cm.

Takes excellent video footage in loud, dim environments like concerts. Captures gorgeous longexposure photos of fire spinners and LED flow props. With a steady had it can snap crisp shots of stars in the night sky without a tripod.Has an interface that is easy to use and navigate. The wireless connectivity with smartphones is convenient.Colors come out vivid. It focuses on subjects with ease. The touchscreen is very responsive.Ive used this camera for 3 years. I am extremely happy I bought it.

I really love this camera. It is a bit heavy and therefore sturdy I suppose. It takes excellent photos. I take a lot of wildlife photos and find the zoom to work very well and it works great in all kinds of light. A week after it arrived I left on a month long trip through South America and got excellent photos Unfortunately 3 weeks in the SD card failed and I lost some, but not all, of my photos. If this ever happens to you take the card to a good photo shop. There is software to allow retrieval of photos from the card. The card is not usable again but at least I didnt loose everything. The only thing I wanted on this camera and didnt get is a view finder.

Very good value. I had been looking to purchase this camera for awhile and when I saw this creator kit I went ahead and bought it. I have absolutely no regrets. The camera is great for vlogging and works well for my small youtube channel. The tripod is very sturdy. I havent used the spare battery yet but it provides peace of mind knowing its there if I need it.

I am not a pro photographer or vlogger, just a grandma who loves to catch small video clips and stills of my very active grandkids. I have to say it works Great. I am now able to catch nice clear photos of the kids running around inside and out without all of the blur. So far i have just used it on auto and im happy to say i have gotten great photos for family scrapbooks and some framed photos for the walls. It has worked for me in daylight and low light very well. My grandkids are to young for sports so i cant comment on that yet but i do wish it had more zoom. The nice thing is the picture files are very large so you can do a fair amount of cropping to the photos. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great camera for photos and videos My main goal buying this camera was to make videos and its image stabilization is just perfect Its really really worth the price One of the best stabilizations Ive ever seen in a point and shoot camera Not forgeting the great quality photos tooBasically it has many features we can find in DSLRs but in a small camera with high quality resultsOne negative about it is the difficulty to download images and videos directly to PC. We need to install a several programs to finally be able to connect the camera to PC.Ive bought my G7X 3 months ago. Im still learning how to use all its features but I already love it

I am a retired commercial photographer and video producer, having used Canon 35mm and digital for 34 years. I shot a variety of formats fromm 110mm to 6×9. This camera is small but mighty. Solid. Dense. Firm. Feeling like a percision instrument, which it is. The images are clean, very sharp and with excellent color. The zoom is smooth and responsive. Lots of features that make this a powerful second camera for Pro and Go alike. Images are beautiful. Edge to edge. Built for small to medium size hands. I heartily recommend this Canon Gem. Small but mighty.

This camera does all that and more. Purchased as a gift and My granddaughter has taken pictures made videos and more with this camera. The clarity of pictures and the videos is amazing. I might add I brought this camera for a great price at Best Buy.

I LOVE this camera and every time that I use it at functions, people ask me what type it is and where I bought it. It is super light weight. I no longer take my fancy camera equipment on trips and use this exclusively. PROS PHOTO QUALITY It is almost as clear as a dslr and the colour is true to the object. Great for low light and also has a built in flash BLUETOOTH and REMOTELESS SHOOTING The camera has Bluetooth ability so Im able to transfer the images immediately without having to wait to get to a computer. Theres also remorseless shooting from the phone so I can put the camera on an tripod and use my phone to snap photos. FLIP SCREEN The camera also has a flip screen which is great for taking selfies. CON The price is hefty at 700 but the compact size is worth it.

I bought this camera so that I can film any vacations and trips I take with my family or friends. Overall, I do not have anything negative to say about this product. I love it, it works great, good quality too. I heard that it does scratch easily so I bought a cheap case on amazon that works really well. But, thats mainly it. From my experience using it I have had no issues at all.

Easy to use. I have a 5d mk iv and this is my partners camera. For vlogging, selfies and general photography its really good. Small and easy to get in your pocket unlike a DSLR. It does lack a mic socket which can be annoying if you want to upload to social media directly from the camera as you have to import onto a laptop and add the sound from an external non connected mic. I dont like pop out screens but if you dont pop it out you would never know it was there. It is handy to have for vlogging though. Also touch screen is great for focusing and making menu selections. All in all an excellent camera if you are looking for something to get started.

I bought this to take on our Euro trip in January. Loved it The zoom is exclent we were on the second level.of the Eiffel tower, and i cohld zoom in and get a very clear picture of our rental van, almost a half mile away The pictures are are sharp and beautiful, but for novices like me, switching the aperture in th evening takes a little finesse it would be cool if there was an automatic setting for night time. I missed out on so.e really amazing photo ops, due to my.lack of nigjt time photo experience. That would be my only oiece of advice. If i had thoubht about it ahead of time I would have studied a bit more about actual photography, and not just doing my normal.point and shoot, so that is really user error. Overall fantadtic traveling camera

When we travel, i dont like bringing the full DSLR kit with me. Its a pain to carry around all day with the lenses and everything. Im always nervous about breaking it or having it stolen too. This little guy has a lot of the functionality of your standard DLSRMirrorless cameras without as much of the fuss. I wouldnt say it is pocket size, but it doesnt take up much room in a bag or larger jacket pocket. We were able to take many more photos because i was always able to have it on me. Pros Same familiar canon layout Feels sturdy, great macro shots Super portable Touch flip screen Nice sharp lens with one caveat in the con column Focal range is usable for almost every circumstance Battery life is more than sufficient Video quality is good enough for some YouTube applications Cons Some lens distortion at the edges of the image Video record button is in an awkward spot I keep hitting it accidentally If using auto settings the image tends to overexpose. The Focus ring isnt usable for manual focus There is only one mode where you can program it to be used for manual focus but it is impossible to manage and not worth it. Auto Focus clicking sound as some others have mentioned the sound is there. it really is minimal though There are some that complain about this camera not having an external mix input or hot shoe. Yes, that would be nice to have, but this is a point and shoot. Tacking on a bunch of accessories defeats the purpose.

Amazing camera. Im a professional photographer and I am extremely impressed with the picture quality. I also love all the manual controls and the easeofuse. The picture I have attached is a 15 second exposure with my kids running around with solar lights. This shot is unedited and was shot in raw. The only thing I did with the picture was transfer it via WiFi to my cell phone using the Canon picture app.

Love my camera.., its a simple n simplistic camera to use. I brought the camera to help me when I do events as a second source fir getting good quality pictures..,The features are cool.. giving one a lot of options to choose from. I definitely recommend this camera.
Joanne –
The package is great and the camera is a pleasure to use, but the images just were not sharp enough for me. I like the ability use the touch screen to change in manual mode and to see the results on the screen before shooting. The focus jumps around so if you do street photography, you may miss the moment. The flexibility of the screen is a real plus as you can shoot above your head and still see the image and adjust the controls. After many, many tries, I have not been able to connect the wifi to my iPhone 6 plus. It just doesnt recognize it or if it did for a split second, it lost the connection. You can shoot in Raw and make adjustments before downloading it in jpg. I have a Canon 5D Mark II, so Im being a bit demanding on the quality of the image. Ive just tested the Panasonic LX 10, and the image is far superior, but the camera is not as user friendly and the colors not as true, but thats something you can correct in postprocessing.

The Canon G7X follows the ergonomics of a camera body from 50 years ago. The tilt screen allows shooting from waistlevel. This perspective helps create images that were once the industry standard. Available cases are both functional and classically nostalgialaden. I greatly appreciated the latest technologies and superb optics in this model. My new favorite camera.
Freddy –
Excellent product Wonderful compact size camera. It works great and very good quality too. This camera has the ability to shoot raw as well as JPEG. Im really enjoying this camera

I dont have this whole accessory kit, but my husband and I invested in this camera and it is amazing. We use it to take photos for our Instagram and I mainly use it to film my vlogs for my YouTube vlogging channel. The footage is incredibly clear and smooth. This is the best camera Ive ever used for vlogging. It costs a pretty penny but totally worth it if you want great quality photos and video.

I love this camera I purchased this a few months ago mostly for social media use and its amazing. Its super small and portable but packs a big punch The best part is that it can connect to your phone through WiFi making it super easy to transfer photos and you can also use your phone as a remote with the camera to take photos. The video function is also great and the zoom is incredible. Highly recommend if you want to take high quality photos and videos without getting a huge DSLR camera.

SO I didnt get the accessory kit, I bought them separately but I am here to talk about this CAMERA AKA MY BABY best birthday gift ever The QUALITY of this camera is UNREAL Whether I am taking landscape shots in the ADK or being a tourist in Italy, this was THE best camera for the quality of the photos and the capabilities love the different settings, although I mainly stick to portrait and auto because I am not tech savy BUT if you wanted to, you can play with aperture, focus, and shutter speed. I love that the camera screen flips up, perfect for selfies and 10 second timer shots

Actually, I am writing this review about the package when Bestbuy delivered it to me yesterday, not about the camera qualitywill update later when I use it. This is the second time I have an issue with BestBuys order about the package.Spending 700.00 tax included in order to expect a new creator camera kit, but when I first opened it, the tripods box already cut, opened and used. Exactly like the last time I bought the GPS, the accessories were used I cant use cause they cant stick anymore, so need to exchange it So I am wondering about my canon g7x mark ii. I am a perfectionist so when I spend money on a brandnew item, I will expect the quality, package. etc have to better than an useditem I think everyone does either

This is a great smart camera. I like how you can flip the screen to do a self mode or selfie video. Its small enough where I can just put it in my purse when Im traveling and its not too heavy. The features are great and the quality of the picture you get are amazing. It beats caring the big DSLR Camara. I definitely recommend this bad boy to anyone who want something smaller and good quality.

Love this camera I read alot of reviews before I made this purchase. I also watched YouTube videos to see the picture quality of this camera. When I unboxed it I didnt think I was going to like it because it was so small. I felt like I was going to drop it. My hands arent super small. I almost took it back but decided to give it a try. I actually like how it fits in my hand when Im self recording. I do use the strap in case I do drop it. Ive been recording and plan to post YouTube videos for my son. It has alot of great features. Cant wait to explore them all

Canon G7 X Mark II recently took place of my Sony RX100II that got damaged in a bike accident as an everyday and travel camera. Below are my opinions on some of the aspects of its use. Battery life I brought home 307 shots taken on a single battery charge the other day, and the battery indicator was still showing no depletion compared to a full charge. This included reviewing and deleting some shots during the day. Therefore, I wont put the battery life as a con, since it turns out perfectly adequate. Image quality The still image quality in terms of detalization and high ISO performance is comparable to earlier generation midlevel DSLRs like Canon EOS 20D which I used to own if you use a budget zoom lens with the latter. Not bad for a pocket camera. Compared to the Sony RX100II, the high contrast handling and dynamic range seem slightly better, but the lens sharpness is slightly worse towards the edges of the frame. Compared to any smartphone, the image quality is way better I havent seen the Galaxy 8 yet though. Other features The startup time and responsiveness of the Canon is better than that Sony. The touch screen is a good addition too. I like how you can select autofocus points using the touch screen. The autofocus is adequate, for the most part. If you use a burst mode, neither focus nor exposure will change once the burst starts. Adjusting focus and exposure during the burst is something that DSLRs can do and this camera cant. Connectivity The control from an Android phone works well once the connection between the camera and the phone is established, which takes about half a minute of effort, longer than I thought it would. Overall, it is a good camera for taking pictures during hiking, skiing etc. when I dont want or just cant carry around a bulky DSLR. It is expensive, but compared to other cameras in its class the price seems competitive.

I needed a small compact camera and decided to pick up the G7X Mark II. Ive had it for about a few months and Im very sastified with this purchase It has great focal length thats more than suitable for all occasions and situations. Its also a treat that the lowest aperature can be shot at 1.8 and 2.8 for your bokehhunters. I was a bit discouraged not having a viewfinder, but the LCD screen actually works for me. Its also touch enabled and if youre not use to that, the dials are easy to adjust and get around with. Photo quality is amazing as well Video is really clean and surprising, considering the compact size. If you need an every day camera, something small to bring, this is definitely a high candidate for you. This is the perfect companion when I dont want to shoot with my 5D Mark III.
Michael –
I bought this camera to be a better travel companion than my DSLR. I like that it speed of a point and shoot while having a lot of the same features as bigger cameras. When i was shopping, it came down between this camera and the Sony Rx100 mk III that is similarly priced. They are both very comparable, but I decided on the Canon because the usability and feel won out. That being said there are some pros and cons to this camera. Pros Great camera for shooting while traveling. Easy to use and responsive features mean your taking photos and not fiddling with your camera. the touch screen is great, though I ind myself using the buttons most of the time. Overall, takes very good pictures and handles lowlight situations better than some DSLRs Ive used in the past. The camera performs particularly well with video. Im sure it would be great for vlogging or as a secondary camera for a bare bones interview setup. Cons This list may seem longer but they are all little things that dont outweigh the pros. My biggest complaint is the focusing. The autofocus can have a difficult time focusing on close up objects. Its not that it takes a while, its that it just cant recognize some close up objects, period. The manual focus feature is also difficult to use. It has a variable focus speed that tries to predict how fast you want to focus but does a poor job of it. It can be a pain trying to dial in. The autofocus clicking sound others complain about is real and very noticeable. If you are shooting video with internal audio, its going to show up in the audio. Only other downside is the battery life. You can run through the battery pretty quickly. If you plan on traveling with this camera, you need to get a backup battery… or two.

Im a serious amateur looking to improve What I love about the camera, its packed with many advanced features and functions that improve the photo quality. Ive been learning and using some of the advanced features with phenomenal results Its an incredible travel camera, will fit in your pocket. The images are clean, very sharp and with excellent color. If youre a beginner or a serious photographer looking for a small point and shoot, this is the camera for you

I was using a Sony RX100 mk iii for a few years. The photos always looked a little unflattering compared to my other Canon cameras. Sony photos and video always look a little washed out to me. Some other things I like better about this Canon is, it just feels better in my hand. Its still small but a little heftier. It has a little rubber grip on the right side that makes it easier to hold with one hand. There is also an exposure dial right on the top for those moments you just want to quickly brighten or darken the image a little due to back lighting. I love that it comes with a wall charger so I can have a battery in the camera, and have another one charging. I also love the touch screen. The Sony didnt have that. Its very convenient to quickly get things like ISO. Silly thing but I like the shutter button more too. And the video button is easier to find.

I bought the Canon G7X MkII almost a year ago. I bought it primarily as a convenient camera to use when the iPhone wouldnt cut it especially in low light and when I didnt want to haul the DSLR around. The picture quality is superb at low ISO and a LONG way better than the iPhone at high ISO, but of course not quite up to the DSLR. I have been able to produce large prints from this have been of very good quality. The focus is generally very accurate with the only challenges to this being in lower light and for fast moving subjects eg. photographing our dogs on the beach running towards us resulted in some out of focus shots. However, overall the convenience of having a high quality camera available due to portability far outweighed its limitations. As with most cameras in this class it is fully featured but also able to be used in simple modes. Ive found the battery life for my usage to be superb, although I rarely use this camera to shoot video.Definitely recommended.

I havent had this a month, literally and Im having to send it back to manufacture to get it replaced Talk about a complete inconvenience The camera all of a sudden wont cut on or off All you guys Best Buy is saying you can do is send it back to manufacture, even with a protection plan. Which is completely a waste to have Meanwhile, me as a customer has to be without camera usage my business while its shipped back and forth I feel like you should be the middle man let me exchange it with you and a d you wait for them to send you a replacement to sale

Ive owned this camera for a little over a month. Taking pictures videos 5 stars. Only complaint is how hard it is to send the picturesvideos to my computer. It does not connect so we finally gave up and just use the memory card in the computer.

Im so pleased to have gotten this camera set. The little handheld tripod is perfect for vlogging and recording on the go. For someone who is a new content creator this really is an awesome and essential purchase. I decided to get this one versus the g7x mark II because I did my research and a lot of well known creators actually say they prefer this one… even though the newer version has additional microphone capabilities. I researched and watched so many reviews MONTHS in advance of making this purchase. Sometimes I do wish I had gotten the updated version but I think this is a great starter camera. The 32gb SD card and extra battery that came in the kit are LIFE SAVERS and came in handy when filming longer videos.

I replaced my 4 year old S100 Canon with this G7X Mark II, and I am very happy with the increased resolution and more user controlled functions. I wish it had not cost so much more, but searching and looking online it is holding its value both retail and on the used market, therefore I made the jump. This is unlike some other point and shoots that drop in price when used. Its heavier and larger than my S100 was, but only a little and well worth al the extra features. The only thing wrong with all most all mirror less cameras is, that they dont have a viewfinder for outdoor use when the daylight obscures the LCD display. This pertains to all cameras of this type, and is only a minor issue and unavoidable. The flash is adequate as is the zoom range. I print large format photos using mostly an FX full frame Nikon, but this small G7X with 20.1 MP will still make a large 36 canvas with very acceptable resolution. I only shoot video now an then, but it also works well. Love the camera, buy it if you have the extra money and need the controls this offers, otherwise the G9X is similar. BH has the best customer service and returns, so I always buy from them.

I love this camera so much, I cant imagine going on any vacation trips without it The quality is amazing and its so lightweight and compact, I can fit this in any of my bags. This is great for vlogging and taking photos. The only thing I wish is for the mic to not pick up as much external audio and for there to be a neck strap. Other than that this camera is perfect

Im a retired commercial photographer and video producer of 40 years. I wanted a compact camera for photo and video that would serve me well. Over the last 2 years this small but mighty camera has given me everything Ive asked it to do. Full auto, manual operations of all types and never a failure. Im impressed. Delighted to have this camera with me wherever I go.

Wife wanted a camera to vlog, this was our choice. The video quality is more than enough if you want 4K get the mark III the audio quality is surprisingly good. The only thing we wish this had was better built in stabilization. But this can be solved with either a grip for a little bit more stability or a gimbal. Either way this is a great camera.

It has less megapixels than my smartphone but takes way better pictures. It feels like a dslr but in compact form. The flippable screen makes it amazing as a vlogging camera and I love the touchscreen features and that I can instantly send pictures and video to my phone from the cameras WiFi system. Great battery life too. Only thing that could be improved is the zoomthis is not a camera for wildlife photography.

I havent had a real camera in a long time so its great when everything you need is included in one box. Actually, the only thing I bought was a camera case. This camera is a great introduction to the digital world. There were so many more features than I thought but for a beginner, I was able to use it immediately. This was great since we were headed for a long vacation. I am still learning about the other features and I havent really had any problems. The camera is a bit pricey but so far, its been a good investment.

This was both an upgrade and downgrade for me. I came from a Canon G9X their pocketsized camera. I found myself missing the extra couple stops of lens speed more often than I thought. I also found myself accidentally hitting the soft key for the Quick menu with my thumb by accident one has to be careful how one is holding that little guy. When the Mk. II version of the G7X came out with a proper way to grip it, I was sold. The downgrade part was that I sold my Nikon D610 system, because it wasnt getting carried. too bulky and heavy for my style of photos these days The camera doesnt disappoint. With 20 MP at my disposal and what seems like a bit sharper lens, Im really happy with the images. Dont be too quick to discount the ART modes theyre a lot of fun, and if they match what youre trying to do, they can save you a lot of postprocessing. For example Grainy BW has three levels of the effect and looks just like old newspaper photos. Dramatic Tone does a great job on beefing up cloudy skies. I put a rubber band around the wrist strap to help keep it cinched up, and I can comfortably carry the camera by its rubber grip pads without much finger tension. The selectable clickyclickless front control wheel is good it can be set to zoom or focus or change aspect ratios. The flash is bouncable, but pretty weak. Dont count on it for that. The touch screen is better than youre thinking, and Canon made great use of it. For a quick street snapshot, fold the screen out pointing up, hold the camera at waist level, and touch the screen where you want to focus. Instantly, it focuses there and takes the pic. Im not much of a selfie shooter, but the foldup screen makes it a noguess affair. Use the self timer, and it can even be tasteful, rather than narcissistic. Some reviewers criticize the sharpness but let me assure you, at any reasonable level of enlargement, it is great.

This is an AWESOME camera Its a worthy replacement for my old Canon G12 that served me well for many years, although the G7X Mark II is a bit smaller and lighter which isnt a bad thing, I tried both this and the Canon Powershot G5X, and in the end, I kept the G7X Mark II and returned the G5X. Nothing really wrong with the G5 X, but I felt the G7X was superior for my needs and preferences, particularly low light indoor action shots basketball. I also think the G7X produces richer tones and colors more of the Canon pop with high saturation that I prefer. These differences were very subtle, but those were the deciding factors for me personally. Both cameras are great though, and it really just comes down to preference. If you prefer an actual viewfinder, then the G5X is the camera for you… I will also add that Best Buy handled the refund exchange for me flawlessly, with a smile Great service thank you Also, as a side note this camera works for my needs for low light indoor action shots my sons basketball games, BUT any compact camera like this has limited focusing capabilities in such a setting you wont get the same results as a true DSLR in that type situation. However, you also dont have all the heavy bulk to haul around In most other cases outdoor action shots and portrait photography, this camera will rival even a true DSLR in quality its an awesome travel camera for even a pro Ive had it for 2 months now and LOVE IT

I have bought and returned or sold several smallish cameras trying to find one that my big shaky hands can operate without constantly touching buttons that turn on or change any number of settings. That said, I am also a long time Canon user and currently use a Canon 80D and SL1. I wanted a small pocketable camera too that I could carry to family gatherings, etc. instead of lugging the larger cameras. Reading the specs on the G7X Mark II, I preordered one from this retailer. I received it a couple of days after its release, and set out to test it quite a bit immediately so that I could return it to them within the 30 day period if I didnt want the camera. I was in for a pleasant surprise. The camera is built like a tank, and weighs quite a bit because of that 11 plus ounces. However, it fits nicely into my hands and I was quickly taking some very acceptable pictures. One of the first things I did was to turn off the video button, so that I wouldnt accidently press it. Thus, I havent even tried the video yet. I dont shoot video except on rare occasions anyway, so no problem. The image quality is really good. I mean, if you composed carefully and didnt need to crop a lot, there is no reason that you cant make excellent prints up to 11×14. The menus are pure Canon, which I find logical and easy to use. The Quick menu is a little limited, but is easy to use also. The ring takes a little getting used to, but is quite handy after you get acquainted with it. Same goes for the touch screen LCD. They have mastered the touch screens sensitivity. I also find the tiltable LCD to be handy for pet and baby shots. The camera turns on quickly and focuses fast, and the fast lens allows making decent images in dark places a snap, especially with the high iso capability of the camera. You can tilt the flash till it points almost straight upward and it actually adds some fill light to faces shot in room lighting. So far, a 55 in my opinion.

After just a couple of days of use, I will offer the following first impressions Images are good. More testing needed. Somewhat small camera that is very heavy for its size. Automatic lens cap seems very fragile and prone to breakage if you dont grab the camera by the sides. Stupid design issue 1 Popup flash is PRECISELY where you will grip with your left hand to steady the camera. Did Canon design this for people with no left hand Couple this with the fact that the camera is heavy and the grip is too small for anyone that doesnt have small hands. The second generation of a camera should be better. How could Canon miss this Stupid design issue 2 The hinge on the battery flash card compartment is right up against the tripod socket, preventing the removal of the flash card or battery while a tripod is attached, and even if a small tripod quick release plate is attached i.e. for a very small Gorilla Pod. How could Canon miss this I have tons of Canon DSLR equipment that is designed very well. Wish I could say the same here. I wish Canon would ask every day users like myself for input next time.

I got it at Best Buy a few years ago I needed something like it on relatively short notice, sorry bh and its one of my favorite cameras. My other camera is a canon 6D, which is excellent, but its not what I want to carry with me when Im going to be out and about for a long time. This one basically takes all the most useful facilities of a DSLR and puts them into as small a form factor as possible. The lens is fast, and the built in profile seems very effective at ironing out geometric distortion I havent noticed any. I love the focal length coverage, especially the 24mmequivalent wide. I really like that it shoots in raw, can reach high ISOs, and maintains great dynamic range and color. I will say that it gets noisy somewhat quickly, but thats fine, because if I was shooting in a situation that demanded low noise Id be using a DSLR anyway. The controls are excellent as well. I use it on manual, with the front ring set to aperture and the rear ring set to shutter speed, with auto ISO on. The physical exposure comp dial is something every canon camera should have why doesnt my 6D have this because with that combination of settings, I can always have a proper exposure, with full uninterrupted control over all exposure settings, with pseudo ISO control via the dial. Its perfect. The built in AF beam is helpful, Ive never shot with it off but autofocus has generally not been fussy, even in the dark. Ive never used the flash, but its nice that its there. Battery life isnt bad from a full charge, though its good to bring a power bank just in case. I like that it can charge via microusb, though I dont like that it cant charge and shoot at the same time.In terms of usability, its very small size and quick startup makes it great to pull out and start shooting at any time. Theres something less assuming about a camera this size that makes it less distracting to subjects in candid situations, which is the sort of setting youll probably be using it in most. People notice a big camera with a big lens and a huge front element, they dont notice this.Canon was very deliberate in making this a great camera for an advanced user, and I think any prosumer or professional would really enjoy using it.Overall, I love this cameras usability and the pictures I take with it. Id sooner buy another than a mirrorless with a similar footprint, because a mirrorless doesnt collapse into a tidy rectangle.

I have been with Canon camera for a while now. Started out with the SD850, then moved on to G12 and now G7X M2. I have been waiting for a while for the potential G17 but it never comes. Actually I would have been settled with G16 with the impressive fast lens f1.8f2.8 Then comes the Sony Rx 100 Mark4, and then Canon G7X M2. The sony is pricy, but no doubt a good camera, but when I compare G7X M2, the priceperformance helps me change my outlook in my decision to pick Canon G7X. I have had the camera for almost 2 weeks now, I am still learning the features learning curve from G12 to G7X, so far, I and extremely happy with the performance, especially in low light performance, the features is plentiful, mostly likely I never use them all, but the manual is quite comprehensive. Here are my pro and con PRO 1. Body solidly built, the LCD panel is solid during movement to different positions. 2. AF is fast and sharp, I particularly like able to move the AF frame to wherever I like with touch screen. 3. Touch screen capability comes in very handy. I begin to enjoy it very much. 4. Color of pictures is great, just right for me as a long time Canon users. 5. Manual is quite intuitive. For me a smooth migration from G12 to G7X CON 1. The strap mount is blocking a little for the Interface compartment door. I particularly dont like the Strap, using wire to mount to the Strap Mount. It is an expensive camera, I just dont trust having wire to keep it from accidental drop. My good old G12 use vinyl strap and mount on both sides. It is very secure when taking pictures. Since I bought a leather cover for my G7x, but with both sides being mount on wire Strap, the camera can actually rotate around and make knots where the strap mount wires meets meet the mount. 2. The camera is little heavy, but once trade off with solidly built to rubberly casing. 3. The camera does not come with interfacing cable. a big let down

Ive been wanting this camera for a few years now but always put off buying it. Im so glad that I officially decided to buy it I like to make YouTube videos and this camera is seriously perfect. Its great for vlogging AND personally, I use it for all videos I make not just vlogging The camera quality is insane and takes beautiful pictures as well If youre debating… get it. Its so worth it, especially if you use it frequently If you dont use your camera frequently though, then Id also recommend a cheaper camera

Im not a photographer. I needed a small, selfie, blogging camera with WiFi. I think the settings are just brilliant. There are so many options in there. Perfect for anyone. Really easy to use. Colours are perfect too. The only down side is that is is expensive but I think every camera it is. Really recommended this camera

I work in a small section of the music industry. I have begun travelling to trade shows each year and have lugged my 80D along. While I love my SLR, I needed something more planefriendly and lighter to carry. A camera that I can slip into a crowd and wear around my neck and do quite a bit of walking on the tradeshow floor.I have just returned from NAMM in Anaheim and I was blown away by this little camera. Sleek, black, and sharp love it. The LCD on back is vivid and bright. My photos are crips and beautiful. I kept everything on Auto as I sort of have to snap and goHighly recommended. This little camera will be travelling across the pond to the Frankfurt Musik Messe soon

A very highly regarded compact camera mainly because of having a large 1 sensor and a very fast f1.82.8 lens with amazing image stabilisation. It also has great video recording capabilities, a folding touch screen making it a very popular choice for Vloggers and camera enthusiasts. I would therefore highly recommend this camera.

Pros The camera itself is easy to grip and quick to be in photo ready mode. The quality of the photos is extraordinary in terms of depth of field and incredible detail. So much so that you feel you can touch the subject of the shot. I upgraded as my previous Canon did not capture all I saw when hiking…this model does all and more plus I am still learning its full capabilities . Good battery power and long lasting.Cons Nothing at the moment

Have only had this camera a short time now, but have used it enough to know I like it. EXCEPT, for a couple of issues.First, the lack of threads for a lens filter. I have gone to a competitor to get an addon to make up for this lack. Yes, the camera is able to spoof many filters plus printing can add filter results. But I like the control the filters give me. Plus having an external lens cap helps with the dust issue mentioned by others. The other issue is not have a way to use an exteral flash, other than one that is not wired. That is okay but I do like having an oncamera flash rather than the built inPlus not being able to have a wired control for activating photos so I dont have to worry about camera shake. Yes, I know, I can build in a delay when I take photos but not the best way in my opinion.I have used canon cameras for around 50 years. I love them. I have two full frame that I use as well as a couple I have converted to Infrared. Got a heck of alot of lenses and filters for all. But I am getting old and I wanted a lighter smaller camera to use other than the big ones. I used to have the first G1 that canon came out with. I used it alot. But then it had problems and needed fixing and canon had discontiued repairs on that old G1 just a few months before it quit on me. Just my luck.I give this a 4 star because it is a good camera despited the limitations and I will use it. Maybe I will get me another G1 when they have one that I like the looks of. We will see.

Camera is as great as others comments. Have not encountered any serious technical or creative issues. Incamera resizing is a minor concern S1 2736×1824 S2 2400×1600 M 3648×2432. These image sizes are not email attachment friendly. Was expecting something like Powershot S90s resizing options M3 1600×1200 S 640×480 XS 320×240. Thankfully, photo editing software is available for resizing, for example, Photoshops Image Sizing for custom resizing, Photomatix Essentials 4.1 64bit resizing presets 4. Getting Started booklet, and to some extent, downloadable electronic manual, does not crossreference Part Names in Index. Stumbled across camera part 13 StepContinuous selection lever explanation in booklet, page 45. Have yet to find any reference to it in electronic manual. Not a big deal.

I purchased the Canon g7x mark ii back in August. Ive used it multiple times since and I love it. It works extremely well and is pretty simple to use. Its great for vlogging and because of its relatively small size its easily portable. It is a little bit more on the expensive side but you do get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend to others.

I love this camera. But I HATE HATE HATE the wifi transfer utility. The old processapp were OK, but they nixed it and the new app is unusable. You have zero control over which photos get uploaded and what resolution is preserved hint its not full resolution. The only solution I can think of is to go out and by a chip reader, defeating the purpose of a WiFi camera. I will not be buying a Canon product again. The best point and shoot in the world is useless with out a decent transfer app.

I have been looking at cameras for the last few months. Im not a photographer, but I enjoy taking pictures for fun and wanted to improve the quality. I was considering getting a dslr, and almost purchased one but then the price skyrocketed so I put off buying it. During that time I started researching this camera and realized this is everything I need It takes great pictures, and I would like to get into vlogging, so if I decide to I have that option with the flip up screen making it so much better. The size is perfect, and there are no settings that I have to learn how to use. I also appreciate that now I dont have to purchase multiple lenses either. Im obsessed with this camera and I cant wait to use it in vacation

I consider myself a serious Hobbyist and in the past have owned a Canon Rebel, G12, and currently an EOS 6D. I dont always want to lug around a larger camera so I purchased the G7 X Mark II for those occasions. Because Im familiar with Canon products I find the controls very easy to use and access. I have only had the camera a short time, but seem pleased with the images, operating speed and shooting features. I have not tried out all the shooting features, such as the starnight sky, because I live in the city, but Im looking forward to doing so soon when I get out someplace where you can actually see stars. I also cant comment on the video since I havet really used it yet other than playing around to make sure it works.Im giving it four stars because, at this price, it really should have a view finder and a hot shoe. Outside on a sunny day I find the glare on the LCD screen can sometimes make it difficult to compose a shot. I have found this particularly true when using the macro setting for a close up shot. Hot shoe, why not In reality I seldom use a flash and I know this camera is a bit small for using with my larger flash units, but I have a small one I purchased for my G12 and I miss not being able to bounce my flash off a wall or ceiling.

I originally purchased a mirrorless DSLR as I am going on a trip later this year, but after evaluating the package decided to go with this camera instead. This was due to smaller size for travel, previous reviews and performance. The camera does not possess a electronic viewfinder, but for what I am going to use it for it should be fine. Also note that the camera does NOT have the ability to be water resistant nor is the lens protected when the camera is open. If you want to use it wet weather or even underwater there is an optional external case you can buy from Canon but it is expensive. A better option if you are going to use it outdoors is the Canon GX3 which is weatherproof but an older camera and is more expensive and is quite a bit larger. The lens protection problem can be accomplished with a lens filter adapter from Lensmate and a UV filter mounted on it. The adapter and 3 filters is available in a kit and is around 55. Do this to protect your lens, but it does add some thickness to the camera livable. Better to destroy a UV filter than your lens.Overall a great camera so far and takes great pictures, allows many of the manual controls that the less expensive point and shoots do not have, but is also a good beginner camera as it basically is a point and shoot out of the box. A big bang for the dollar I have not had this camera long, so the long term jury is out, but so far, so good

I actually bought Sony Rx100 V, Panasonic Lumix LX10, and this Canon. I returned the other 2.I found Lumix has more bells and whistles like 4k photo, which I am not sure I need. But I found at least mine had issues with image quality. Poor auto white balance, colors seemed washed out and it overexposed faces on auto and portrait modes. The SONY was the best of the 3 cameras, but I really found the lack of touchscreen a deal breaker for me .did not think I would but after using it on the others I really liked it. also, it is almost double the price. So, the Canon. yes, it lacks 4K video, but the HD video is outstanding. Superb focus and IS. also, the 4 to 1 zoom, and fast 1.8 make for great portrait background defocus, as well as brilliant landscape. which really is the bottom line I think. I dont miss the viewfinder really. in fact, tilting screens are even more useful I think. Overall, I think this is the best 1 inch at this time. I have aps C size sensor cameras too, the image quality of this camera is truly almost as good, except for very low light. and even then, just throw a mini tripod in, and it is equal. and this fits in the pocket

This is great backup camera for me. In the coat pocket. Very nice image quality for the size of the camera. Appears well built. Does well in low light for a camera this size. However, beware on the battery issue. It is a small battery to fit the size of the camera, therefore, do not expect a thousand exposures on one charge. Beware that this camera will not let you use another battery in it, unless it comes from Canon. It will tell you on the screen that the battery you inserted is not from Canon and you cannot use the camera. Then, of course, they charge you over twice as much for one of their batteries compared to an aftermarket battery. I think that is inexcusable. Others may not see it as an issue.Hence, I give it four stars. It is really a well built camera, with lots of menu options, that should be standard on better cameras for sure. You can even adjust the sharpening in your custom settings. By that I mean it gives you a number of options, just in the way it sharpens images.Dynamic range appears to be very nice and I would say above average. High ISO images are better than I expected. Stout build quality is a very good point. In summary read the reviews online. If it is for you, then get it and enjoy it. I have taken about 2K pictures and video with it so far. I do recommend it. Just get you at least one extra battery and it has to be Canon.

This is the third camera in my household. I have used Nikon DSLR and Sony mirrorless but my wife wanted a small size camera for taking baby and dog pics with good portability. As you know, they move fast in everywhere. This camera is good enough to capture good images under not only outside daylight but also inside fluorescent light with bright lens and high ISO. Based on my opinion, ISO up to 2000 makes very acceptable results without much noise. I have loved using my Nikorr and Zeiss lenses but this pocket sized camera is also very good one for carrying everywhere even with a lot of baby stuffs. This will be beyond your expectations as a pointandshoot camera. Only cons that I can pick is probably battery doesnt last very long so youd better keep extra battery in case more than 1 night trip.

I was only able to use this camera once. When i tried to power it on the second time nothing. I bought a new battery and tried everything i could find online but nothing worked. To have this camera repaired for the power issue costs no less than 350 through Canon directly. You might as well buy a new camera if so i definitely wouldnt recommend buying this one again.

I already love using the G7 Mark II when traveling, hiking or being more casual in my explorations about town. It offers a highquality image, dozens of options when shooting manual included and yields great results along the way. As does any new camera, the G7 Mark II takes getting used to where to find things, how to adjust on the fly, what its capabilities are, etc. but its already a great purchase for the convenience factor alone. I bought a protective carrying case Ruggard Hfv260 and it came with its own strap. Battery life is strong but I also bought a Canon as a backup. Outside of the case, it fits into my front pocket but otherwise I keep it in a backpack or somewhere safe while not using it. The quality of the images is strong considering the vehicle. Sure, its not as spoton in pixel quality as my 6D and, sure, at 6400 ISO its quality is far less than that of the 6D at much higher speeds. But I didnt buy the G7 Mark II to replace the dSLR entirely just to offer a convenient, less cumbersome camera to capture great photos with while traveling, hiking, at family gatherings and walking around the city. That said, Id recommend this camera to anyone sticking with Canon like I am and who wants a great performer in a small package.

Got this set up to start filming YouTube videos. The quality is fantastic and as a newbie the camera is easy to use.I didnt have to worry about stopping filing to refocus as the auto focus is brilliant. Also the view finding screen means that I can make sure anything Im showing is in frame.

This is the first point and shoot that I have purchased and I am very impressed with the quality of the camera and the picturesvideos taken on it All of the extra items that were included have worked really well, with the exception of the SD card. I was having trouble with the camera not accepting the card at random times, and therefore my pictures kept getting deleted. Upon bringing the camera to a Best Buy, I was told that the card was corrupt and that any more use could result in damage to my camera. I also purchased a strap to go around my neck, but the wrist strap works well. The wifi feature is fantastic, and the ability to move pictures onto my phone is very convenient. I cant wait to learn more and experiment with my new camera

PROThe camera and accessories were great and work well. I especially like the tall tripod and was pleasantly surprised when I received a small hand tripod as well As of now, the camera works great and I have not experienced any problems.CONThere was an error with the camera today while I was recording. it said, error was detected E09. Every time I would try to click the media button it would load and then say unidentified image and then it would shut off on its own. It was very frustrating because the internet had no solutions to this problem. I took a long shot and decided to switch SD cards and luckily the issue was fixed I could record and end the recording with no problem. I believe the SD sent to me might have been broken.

This camera has a lot of bells and whistles. Ill define the bells as items centered around the actual camera and the whistles as the nice to have optional features. The camera has a lot of features that allow for manual operations. I would consider this a point and shoot on steroids or an entry level dslr in a point and shoot frame. For that reason, it was the only reason I gave this review 2 stars. The problems I encountered were with the auto focus setting. The autofocus pictures were hit and miss50 of the photos were blurry or focused on something in the back ground. Have I gotten used to my iPhone cameraperhaps. As for a whistle itemThe wifi was pure crap. It never worked, I was never able to transfer a photo from the camera to any of the 3 wireless optionsemail, cell or cloud folder. I would never judge the quality of camera based on its wifi performance but in this case, it just added to my frustrations. Its not that the wifi feature was clunky to use, it just did not work period. In sum, the bells were so so and the whistles were non existent. I ended up returning the camera.

My first Camera as a Youtuber. It has great photo and video quality. I purchased as a set with 3 stands, a light, camera cleaning products and usb drive for 600. My only improvement suggestion would be with storage space it gets full and I dont like deleting videos lol Im lazy. However it does have a good amount of content space and easily transferable.

Amazing The camera is great and the quality is amazing. The extra battery does work and last up to 1 hr of filming. The bundle is amazing The tripod is thick and feels good quality and the big tripod can reach really high.
strikesudown –
The camera is really good. Im a beginner when it comes to cameras but I like the image stabilization it has when you film. I also really appreciate its small but sturdy build. It makes it really simple to attach to my tripod and I dont need to worry about the weight unbalancing the tripod. What I wish could be better is the weatherproofing aspect. Its currently the winter season and my hands feel like theyll fall off because the metal gets cold instantly. Im just concerned because its an expensive camera but I have to be extremly careful handling it outdoors. The downside to purchasing the camera is that there isnt a case that comes with it. You need to purchase a lot of accessories on your own. Nevertheless, I like the sharpness of the images when you use this camera. It has a pretty good autofocus. The wifi capability is great when I dont want to pull out the sd card and laptop to get the images. Overall, its a really nice camera worth the small investment because you get a lot of features packed into it.

Pros Amazing camera, I have a huge DSLR which I hated carrying. Over the last year Ive bought many small digital cameras other brands so I could always take one with me wherever I go but I ended up returning all of them. I finally decided to buy this camera, and I am so happy I did, it is exactly what I was looking for. Brilliant image quality and light enough to travel, now I take this everywhere I do.Cons no improvement points brilliant camera.
