I went from an 11th gen paperwhite to this and I must say it’s the best switch I ever did! Absolutely love it, it’s so fast and lightweight even tho it’s that little bit bigger, it doesn’t feel it when reading. The colour is to die for. So happy with the quality and functionality of this kindle. I got the signature edition as I like to have the auto adjusting brightness which the standard paperwhite doesn’t have but in all honestly for the extra £20 why not get the signature edition. 8 people found this helpful

Purchased this for a security camera and seems to work well. The only negative was I found it hard to get into packaging and was easy to lose this as the memory card is quite small so have knocked a star off. Seems to work well at recording footage and it was a good price thanks Gadget Tree.

Got this for my wife for Christmas 24. Upgraded from a 7th edition. Well worth it. Larger screen, pin sharp and excellent lighting. So much quicker in page turns and when browsing your library or the store. Battery seems long lasting and the device has a quality feel. So much so I treated myself to an upgrade. Worth waiting for a sale, got £50 off in Black Friday sale One person found this helpful

After my trusted 6th Gen Paperwhite finally started slowing down I opted to trade it in and upgrade to a Paperwhite Signature and so far I’m really impressed with the model. It comes with a usb cord but nothing else. This is all you need to get going and use it, but it doesn’t come with any wireless charging options as the dock is sold separately (though I have found the older model dock still works with this version and it a much cheaper option to buy). The overall look is really sleek and attractive. There’s no real difference to that compared to the older models and the screen increase in size is so slight it’s not really noticeable. The screen is larger than some of e-readers (including the basic kindle) but I prefer this slightly larger size screen as I find it easy to read. The device is a good size for me too and I can still hold it and turn the page with one hand. It’s still smaller than the majority of paperback books , and way lighter! It’s actually very light in weight and doesn’t make my arms ache in bed at all. You can hardly feel it in your hand when it doesn’t have a case on and I don’t think I can really feel the weight difference in this and the basic kindle. The screen is super clear and crisp and I can easily read it. The page turning is quick and I’ve found there’s little to no lag. The main store and Home Screen is also quick and easy to navigate. The main reason I opted for the signature over the normal paperwhite was the automatic brightness adjustment and I’m really happy with that choice. The screen adjusts quickly in changing lights and subtly enough that it’s not even really noticeable as you read. It’s great when I’m reading in the car as I don’t have to keep adjusting it myself when the sun goes in and out etc. when it’s bright in the room no brightness is needed on the device at all and as it gets darker I’ve found I only really need the brightness up to 10 at most (but mainly keep it at 8). The fact it goes up to 24 it great but that does run your battery out a lot more quickly, and I honestly don’t need it that bright at all. The warmth adjustment is nice too and gives you the option to have it cooler or warmer in colour. This isn’t automatic, but I generally don’t change it once I have it set up. It does come with 32gb of storage as well so I don’t have to worry about removing each book after reading it as I have plenty of room for them all. So far I haven’t had it long enough to really test the battery but it seems to hold it really well and though I read a lot more than the 30 minutes a day I can tell this charge will still last weeks. Overall it’s obviously a huge improvement from my old 6th gen paperwhite, and I’m glad I opted for the signature for the auto adjusting back light and the option to wireless charge. I’d definitely recommend it as an upgrade to older models! 133 people found this helpful

This is the first kindle I have ever had the pleasure of owning and I am so happy with it. I love to read and at first before I bought my kindle, I was a bit unsure about getting one as I tried to read books on my phone and I found it really difficult so at first I thought that reading from a kindle would be the same, however I was wrong. I have had my kindle for a month now and it is glued to my hand. I love it. I suffer with severe mental health and anxiety and reading is my escape when I am mentally struggling. I got the metallic raspberry one and it is truly a stunning colour, the battery lasts a long time and it charges so fast which is good considering how much I use it on a daily basis. I would recommend a kindle to anyone who loves to read like I do, for me – it isn’t a hobby, it keeps me calm. For £189, some can ask if it is worth it and my answer will always be ABSOLUTELY 100%!!!! There’s nothing better than sitting in peace with a cup of tea and my kindle especially when my sons are asleep and I sit with my Xmas tree lights on which I also use as a calming tool when I am over stimulated and dysregulated. I have also now ordered the matching case and the wireless docking charger which comes tomorrow. Depending where I’m reading, I also like the fact I can change the light settings so I’m not straining my eyes if reading in the dark. Kindle unlimited is definitely a must as you have millions of books at your fingertips. Kindle unlimited has something for everyone but I’m a dark romance and smut reader so the kindle is perfect, I don’t have to carry around a physical book. The kindle screen itself is really fast in terms of turning the pages back and forth, it’s easy to find new books to read after you’ve finished your current read. If you have young children, you can put a passcode on it so they can’t play around on it and you can also have a kids profile on it if sharing with them but my kids aren’t allowed to touch mine. Definitely worth the money if you read a lot like I do. 9 people found this helpful

Purchased this while on sale at Gadget Tree. My husband has one of the larger speakers but I wanted a smaller version for travelling. Sound quality and battery life are excellent. Bought a non-Bose case which is great for keeping it in and transporting. Would definitely recommend 2 people found this helpful
