Purchased from Gadget Tree Warehouse and returned for a refund. Why? Honestly, as a 50-something Panasonic fanboy who studied photography at college (with published work in recent years), the x1500e disappoints on many levels. The main reason for returning the unit is due to the excessive movement from the battery when attached to the camera. I remember playing with toys that had better build quality. It rattles, and that rattles me. The second reason is the button layout and spongy feel – I was simply unable to change basic settings without having to visually double-check my inputs. Infuriating. A third reason – it’s a little too heavy to use as a run-and-gun. If you’re not bothered by the above, it has a decent lens with good reach, practical mobility, excellent autofocus and a bright EVF. Sadly, I won’t be returning to Panasonic or Lumix in a hurry. One person found this helpful

Purchased this direct from Gadget Tree. It is a bit expensive compared to normal scales, but this is a “smart” scale. It is therefore able to give more insights than just my weight. There are 12 other measurements ranging from body fat to bone mass. These seem to be within tolerance. For example, body fat – having measured this with a set of calipers and then used the scales, the scales add on 7% body fat vs the calipers. This is OK for me (and the app states I’m within healthy limits). However, I can see how this could be an issue if you’re suddenly stated to be over the healthy limit when you’re not. In which case, you could do what I did and invest in a cheap caliper so you have a benchmark. The scale itself is very well built and study. I don’t worry about it smashing or cracking. Looks neat too. In terms of the App, if you use any other Xiaomi health products (such as fitness bands) then you will be familiar with it. It’s basic but it does the job well – summarising the different measurements in a list form (with drop downs for further information if needed). It will then log off of these stats for comparison – day to day, month to month. I’d recommend this scale overall. If you found this help, please click so below to say. Thanks. 6 people found this helpful

I bought this to replace a 12 year old kindle and it is a lovely size, weight and colour. I’m really enjoying reading it, and keeping picking it up instead of picking up my phone, which is ideal. I wish there was an option to have your books listed by title and or author rather than them being presented by book cover. Although you can adjust the font and size for the reading experience, there doesn’t seem to be a way to adjust the library home screen, so I have to click on the actual books to work out what they are when they don’t have a particularly clear book cover. That’s not ideal for making it accessible to all. It is also a little slower to turn pages and load books than I expected, but the battery life is good, and it is a nice return to a good, clean ereader without too many gimmicks. 10 people found this helpful

I purchased this Match Kindle Basic after less-than-ideal experiences with the 12th Generation Paperwhite Signature Addition & the new Colorsoft, because they both had the yellowing along the bottom of the screen that seemed to get gradually worse, so I ended up returning them both & buying this device in their place. For starters this version does not have the warm light settings, meaning the screen cannot develop the yellowing, & that is the main reason I chose to go for a Basic, rather than waiting for the perfect Paperwhite 12th Generation or Colorsoft to be delivered to my door. I am very pleased with this little basic – the screen is smaller (6″ rather than 7″) but it is so much more crisp; I wanted the Colorsoft for the covers of my books & for the images in my aviation books, but aside from the yellowing of the screen, I felt that the images were not clear, so when this little beauty arrived I expected to be a bit disappointed with the pictures because they are black & white, but I have been very impressed thus far. As you can see from the photos, the images are clear & crisp … I read a lot of aviation books so the covers are predominantly blue, grey, brown, white, silver & black, but so far I have been able to make out the covers due to the excellent quality of the screen. I was initially a bit worried about the storage, as I do like to buy the titles rather than borrow them from Kindle Unlimited, but I have 334 titles on my device & there is still plenty of room – I have also got KU now as it was part of my package when buying this Kindle Basic. I have been using it every day, for extended periods & the battery life is pretty good, possibly not as good as they advertise, but I never only read for 30 minutes a day; I had it Bluetoothing to my AirPods for about 4 hours on Sunday as I was listening to an Audible title, so technically I’m not using it as their test model prescribes, so it’s not a surprise my battery is not lasting very long. I charged it to 100% on the 8th of January (the day it arrived) & I’m averaging around 2-3 hours reading (brightness between 6 & 14 depending on the ambient lighting) & I’ve also listened to Audible via Bluetooth for around 6 hours & the battery is now down to 33% … it’s not too shabby, I can live with it. I love the Matcha colour, I also like that the device is slightly textured, not smooth & ultra slippy in my hands – I put a case on it when I took it out of the box though; I like the size – it is not too bulky or so small, it’s a good size & weight to hold in one hand; the screen is anti-glare so I have not put a screen protector on it, as I don’t feel it needs one. I’ve been a Kindle user for many years, so I can honestly say that this version is an upgrade – before my recent escapades with the new Paperwhite & Colorsoft I had the PW Signature Addition 3rd or 4th Generation (I can’t remember exactly which one) but sadly I lost that on holiday in July 2024, hence my need to replace it … will I buy the new Paperwhite or Colorsoft when they fix the bugs, probably not, I don’t see the need for spending that much money when my little Matcha Basic cost me less than £100 & I like it very much. 48 people found this helpful

Purchased these direct from Gadget Tree for just under £80. Not the the lowest price, but still a significant saving from the RRP. Very important to recognise that these are OPEN earbuds, it sits just outside the ear canal, there is no spongy/rubbery ear tip that goes into the ear canal. Thus, inherently it has all the fundamental pros and cons associated with type of design. Your music will leak out and external noise will be seep in, plenty of it too. If you are looking for a earbuds that creates a seal in the ear canal, and provide maximum isolation and noise reduction, then stop reading now and go look at some other earbuds. But if like me, you can’t tolerate those in-ear earbuds, and looking for an alternative to the king of OPEN earbuds that is the Apple AirPod (regular ones, not Pro), then you are looking at potential winner here
The earbuds are made of smooth plastic with glossy finish. Looks premium. I got the mystic white, and it is two tone, white on the outside, but greyish on the inside. It is actually very slippery too. Be careful handling these when you are out and about. It is very well build, there is zero sharp edges, no creaking, no large gaps and very light too. Same high quality build applies to the charging case too and unfortunately the smooth slippery surface as well. The fits. You got to give credit where it is due, and so, well done to Samsung R&D for being so creative, coming up such a unique “bean” design. It would have been so easy to make yet another AirPod lookalike. I have to admit, ears comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and I was skeptical that this bean shape will work well. But surprisingly, it did, well, kind of. On my right ear, the bean fit perfectly, there is some pressure, but not such that it causes any discomfort or pain, even after several hours. But on my left ear, it took me quite a long time and effort to position the earbud such that it doesn’t cause pain. I found that the wing tips needs to be precisely placed and adjusted into the “correctly” position to get the same level of comfort as my right ear. A video from Samsung on how to insert these earphone does give you a hint, but really, there is much trial and error to get it right. If between my left and right ears there seems to have different fit, I won’t be surprised that some people will find the fit to be perfect and while others might find painful. So, please buy these from somewhere with solid return/refund policiy
The sound, I am no audiophile, to me, these earbuds sounds really good, very good for OPEN earbuds. And yes, there is bass, the right amount of it. Something that often missing in most OPEN earbuds. The loudness is very good too, I have never needed to go beyond 50% volume, even when walking outdoor. Now the ANC, lets be honest, knowing that this is an OPEN earbuds, you can’t seriously expect the ANC to be anywhere near as good as any half decent in-ear canal earbuds? Well, that’s right, ANC is next to useless. When outdoor, eg, on a busy street, definitely need to crank up the volume to drown out the external noise. I usually use these indoors and it is perfectly fine in this condition. The app. With the galaxy wear app, you can apply various equaliser presets, on/off ANC, adjust the left/right loudness balance, switch the earbud bluetooth connection between devices, disable all touch controls (useful in certain situations), and limited touch control customization (more on this below). Is there anything that needs improvement? Yes! The earbuds does NOT have a power-off feature. Unbelievable. The only way to turn it OFF, is to put them into the charging case. If you don’t have your case with you, too bad, the earbuds battery is just draining away, even if you are not using them. The absence of power-off feature is ridiculous, what was Samsung thinking? Another thing, there is lack of customisation on the touch controls. The only customizable touch is the “touch and hold” feature, where you have the option of either volume control or anc control or bixby control. All other touch e.g single/double/triple are not customizable. I have had cheaper wireless earbuds with more touch customisation options than this! And last complaint, you cannot buy a spare charging case. Yup, no spare case for sale, at all. Why? Samsung. Why? Considering how much the earbuds relies on the charging case, you would think it makes sense to sell some as spares, no? All in all, I do like these Galaxy Buds Live very much. Samsung did an excellent job here, in R&D and realising a totally unique product that works well. Sure, it is not perfect and there some questionable decision about certain missing features, but that takes nothing away from the fact that this 100% represents “open earbuds redefined”. A game changer. I look forward to see what the next generation will bring. Edit 25Oct21: After spending more time with these, here is a couple of new observations, 1) the bluetooth range is not great. In a small two storey 3 bed house, the bluetooth connection unable to cope between the two farthest points in the house. 2) due to lack of OFF function, the earbuds battery discharges at a rate of 12% per hour when outside of the charging case without any media playing. Edit 06Nov2021: Had these more than a month now, almost daily either listening to radio broadcast, or music via spotify or watching videos on netflix/prime/disney+, I have made a couple of new observations, 1) sound profile, especially the bass output, the “openess” of sound stage and dynamic response, seems to be greatly improve, if the ANC feature is enabled OR if the “Relieve pressure with ambient sound” feature is enabled (found in Earbud setting->Labs section of Samsung Wear app). Strange that we have to enable one of those features just to get a “better” sound. 2) The “Relieve pressure with ambient sound” feature causes a strange occasionally problem where the sound will fade out (soften) for a second or two, then goes back to normal. This only happens when I am watching videos on Prime Video. And only seems to be occur on specific points in certain videos. When the problem starts to manifest, I rewind the video and the problem reoccur at the exact same point. And if I turn OFF and then turn ON the “Relieve pressure” feature, and rerun the video, the problem goes away. It is as if the “Relieve pressure” feature is responding to certain audio mix coming from the video and glitches out. And it continues to glitch, until the “Relieve pressure” feature gets reset by toggling it OFF and then ON again. And why only Prime Video? I never encountered any issues on other video streaming service, e.g iPlayer, Netflix, Disney, etc. Definitely something “buggy” going on with these earbuds. The significant improvement in sound with the ANC or the “Relieve pressure”, makes it impossible to go back to the “normal” sound without these features. But both features have downsides. For sure, I will never use ANC, solely because it is ineffective and reduces battery life. And so, I am forced to use the “Relieve pressure” feature, and avoid Prime Video
While non of these new observations is a deal breaker, I am slightly disappointed that it escapes Samsung QA. Also I hope it is something that Samsung is aware of, and even better if it something they can fix via software update. Edit 13Nov2021: Finally worked out why the sound was fading in and out! Nothing to do with the earbuds. It was the Dolby Atmos feature on my Samsung Tablet. Disabled the Dolby Atmos on the tablet and the sound is perfect now! 318 people found this helpful

Purchased as a replacement for my previous tablet. Despite being a little over two years old, my previous tablet stopped working, Gadget Tree refused to replace it for free, apparently it was “old”. Gadget Tree do not appreciate loyal customers. Having said all this I can’t fault this latest version, lighter, faster and more reliable. Personally I have no problem recommending this newer version. As for Gadget Tree I’m all ready spending less with them for the way they treated me as a long standing customer

Purchased directly from Gadget Tree, the battery I received was a genuine Fujifilm branded item. I had the choice of cheaper OEM versions of course, but I’ve experienced quality issues with budget power sources in the past, and since my X-T2 is an expensive piece of kit I prefer to play it safe and use the original, especially as Gadget Tree sell it at a decent discount. As many Fuji fans will know, this battery pack won’t keep your camera powered for as long as some may like, especially if you’re using burst mode, power boost or a lot of flash or screen time. But that’s not the fault of the battery, which was designed to be smaller in order to keep the camera bodies pleasingly compact. I’ve developed the habit of automatically powering down my camera when I’m not using it, and that makes a huge difference. With the power grip attached and a total of three batteries I get an entire day of shooting. You may have noticed that Fujifilm sell two different batteries with very similar codes: the NP-W126S, and the older NP-W126. This newer and upgraded ‘S’ variant has additional electronic circuitry inside that protects it against over-heating in high drain situations, and is also said to improve current output. If you do use a non original battery your Fuji camera will warn you it isn’t genuine. You can override the warning and choose to continue, but I it will invalidate your camera warranty if problems ensue. 8 people found this helpful

Absolutely love it! I brought this cutie so i can take it to work and out and about as my kindle signature doesn’t fit comfortably in my little bag. I can safely say the basic is the 1st thing I pick up. My poor signature hasn’t been picked up since this one arrived. No, it doesn’t have the warm light and nope, it doesn’t have the auto adjust front light, but it does have a adjustable front it which is perfect. The page turning speed is spot on. It doesn’t feel basic, the quality is great. It’s small, it’s light and it’s my favourite kindle. The battery came with 54% which lasted really well. I charged it yesterday (20/01/25) If you aren’t sure becaue3 you have a kindle already, I’d buy this one, as its fits in my small bag, my coat pocket and the Matcha colour it’s just beautiful. Do it
