After using this Logitech mouse daily since 2021, I feel qualified to share my unfiltered experience. As a left-handed user who puts their peripherals through rigorous daily use, finding the right mouse is crucial for both comfort and productivity. The Good Let’s start with what shines: when everything’s working properly, this mouse is genuinely impressive. The ergonomics are exceptional, especially for us southpaws. My arm and hand remain remarkably relaxed even during extended use sessions, which is no small feat considering how much time I spend at my computer. The Not-So-Good However, the devil’s in the details, and there are some significant issues that can’t be ignored. Despite my meticulous maintenance routine (and yes, I mean proper cleaning – removing dust and debris regularly), the hardware reliability has been disappointing. The back button, which I frequently use for web browsing, has developed intermittent responsiveness issues. While temporary fixes through cleaning provide brief relief, the problem persistently returns, which is frustrating for a device at this price point. Software Struggles Now, let’s address the elephant in the room – Logitech’s software ecosystem. Anyone familiar with their peripherals will appreciate the sarcasm when I mention how “good” their software support is. What’s particularly vexing is that this model doesn’t support Logitech’s latest software suite, essentially leaving users stuck with older, less refined tools. The Missing Link Perhaps the most glaring oversight in 2021 (and even more so now) is the absence of Bluetooth connectivity. This feature would have transformed an already comfortable mouse into a truly versatile tool. Instead, we’re limited to the traditional wireless dongle, which feels oddly dated for a premium peripheral. Final Verdict When everything aligns – when the buttons respond correctly and the software plays nice – this mouse delivers an exceptional user experience, particularly for left-handed users like myself. However, the hardware reliability issues, software limitations, and lack of Bluetooth functionality make it difficult to give this mouse an unreserved recommendation. While it shows flashes of brilliance in comfort and usability, these persistent issues hold it back from true greatness. Pros: – Exceptional ergonomics for left-handed users – Comfortable during extended use sessions – Solid performance when working properly Cons: – Unreliable back button despite regular maintenance – Limited software compatibility – No Bluetooth connectivity – Questionable long-term durability Would I recommend it? If you’re left-handed and prioritize comfort above all else, it might be worth considering – just be prepared for some frustrations along the way. One person found this helpful

I’ve been using the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse for a few months now, and I must say it has completely transformed my gaming experience. This mouse is a game-changer in terms of performance and reliability. Allow me to share my thoughts on why I highly recommend it. First and foremost, the G305 LIGHTSPEED offers impeccable precision and responsiveness. The HERO optical sensor integrated into this mouse is simply outstanding. It delivers accurate tracking and smooth cursor movement, allowing me to make precise maneuvers and quick flick shots in games. Whether I’m playing first-person shooters or engaging in intense multiplayer battles, the G305 never fails to keep up with my actions. Compared to similar gaming mice I’ve used in the past, the G305 LIGHTSPEED stands out for its wireless capabilities. The LIGHTSPEED wireless technology ensures a lag-free and ultra-fast connection, providing a seamless experience without any disruptions. I’ve had no issues with latency or dropped signals, even during intense gaming sessions. The freedom of wireless connectivity combined with the performance of a wired mouse is truly remarkable. One feature that pleasantly surprised me was the battery life of the G305. Logitech claims that it can last up to nine months on a single AA battery, and so far I can confidently say that it lives up to that claim. I’ve been using the mouse extensively, and the battery has lasted me since I first placed it in. This is a significant advantage over other wireless gaming mice I’ve used, where frequent recharging or swapping batteries was necessary. The compact and ergonomic design of the G305 is another aspect worth mentioning. It fits very well in my hand, providing a comfortable grip even during long gaming sessions. The buttons are well-placed and offer a satisfying click response. The lightweight nature of the mouse also contributes to its overall maneuverability and ease of use. It’s a true joy to navigate through games with this mouse in hand. In terms of durability, the G305 LIGHTSPEED impresses. The build quality is solid, and the mouse feels sturdy and reliable. I’ve put it through its paces with rapid movements and intense gaming sessions, and it has held up exceptionally well. Logitech’s reputation for quality and durability is evident in this product. In conclusion, the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse is a remarkable choice for gamers seeking a reliable, precise, and wireless gaming mouse. Its exceptional performance, extended battery life, ergonomic design, and durability make it stand out among its competitors. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed using this mouse, and it has undoubtedly enhanced my gaming experience. If you’re looking for a wireless gaming mouse that delivers on every front, the G305 LIGHTSPEED won’t disappoint. 11 people found this helpful

From its lightning-fast response times to its ergonomic build, the G305 redefines what it means to game wirelessly. At the heart of the G305 is Logitech’s revolutionary LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, which boasts a 1ms report rate for lag-free performance that rivals wired connections. This ensures that every click and movement is registered instantaneously, giving gamers the competitive edge they need to dominate the battlefield. Despite its compact size, the G305 doesn’t compromise on performance. Equipped with Logitech’s HERO sensor, it delivers exceptional accuracy and precision with sensitivity up to 12,000 DPI. Whether you’re sniping enemies from a distance or engaging in close-quarters combat, the G305 tracks your movements with pixel-perfect accuracy, ensuring you never miss a shot. The ergonomic design of the G305 is another standout feature, with a symmetrical shape that caters to both left- and right-handed gamers. The textured rubber grips provide a secure and comfortable hold, even during extended gaming sessions, while the lightweight construction ensures effortless maneuverability. Battery life is where the G305 truly shines, offering up to 250 hours of continuous gameplay on just one AA battery. This impressive longevity means you can game for days on end without worrying about recharging, making it the perfect companion for marathon gaming sessions or gaming on the go. Customization options abound with the G305, thanks to Logitech’s intuitive G HUB software. From programmable buttons to adjustable DPI settings, users have full control over their gaming experience, allowing them to tailor the mouse to their individual preferences and playstyle. The only minor drawback of the G305 is its lack of RGB lighting, which may disappoint gamers looking for a more flashy aesthetic. However, this omission is a trade-off for the mouse’s exceptional battery life and performance, making it a worthwhile compromise for serious gamers. In conclusion, the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse is a game-changer in the world of wireless gaming peripherals. With its lightning-fast response times, precise tracking, and ergonomic design, it offers everything gamers need to elevate their gameplay to the next level. Whether you’re a casual gamer or a competitive esports athlete, the G305 is sure to impress. 8 people found this helpful

From the wired mouse I was using this is a seriously good upgrade with how cheap it is – Good wireless connectivity – No charging times (just swap out a battery) – Multiple DPI modes – Comfortable in hand – Relatively light (the battery weighs it down) – Great response time – There are no RGB lights so battery drain is minimal – Good build quality but as always please don’t drop your mice Overall love the initial thoughts on this item. I have attached images and a video to help, these are all I could think people would want to see in a review 8 people found this helpful

For £40 this mouse is a dream to use, there are obviously better ones but i honestly can’t think of any that matches this one at this price point. The mouse is NOT Bluetooth and instead uses a dongle that is plug and play, you can adjust mouse settings via the Logitech G Hub app on a PC, although this is not strictly needed to use. The mouse fits in my hand pretty well, and I like the side buttons for sprinting in games and such (although they are a little mushy.) It glides along surfaces due to having no wire, and the battery is astounding, I change probably once every month or two with heavy usage due to having a very good sleep mode that automatically engages when not in use. The only negatives I can think of is the mushy side buttons and the lack of style, but to be honest both are subjective and I honestly prefer non-RGB mouses but maybe you’ll feel differently. With nearly 2 years of use I am very happy with this mouse. 2 people found this helpful

This has been excellent, I bought this to replace an existing cabled mouse of my PC (having used many before) . This is well designed, the mouse feels very comfortable to use and fits my hand well (I have big fingers/hands). The buttons are easy to press, very smooth and light which I like. The option to change the responsiveness is great as I can change between slow/fast depending on what I’m doing (Work/Play). The side buttons are also good although I’ve not mapped them to do anything other than the default out-the-box setup. Would definitely buy again. 5 people found this helpful

2021-10-02: Despite the design being over 3 years old, this wireless Logitech mouse is still the best replacement I could find for my decade old trusty Logitech G9x. Which I used without either grip; despite having only slightly smaller than average 18x9cm hands, I need a low profile, narrow, symmetric mouse to avoid hand/wrist pain(s). At 40mm, the Razer Orochi was just too rounded for my hand. Its off-putting sensor position felt odd, too. And like the Viper Mini and Deathadder minis I tried, *all* the Razer mice had QC issues with uneven feet, or base moulding, that made them wobble a little on hard surfaces. This G305 is rock solid, but still *slightly* too tall with the cover on. So I’ve simply been playing without it! The compartment is rounded and my palm doesn’t really touch the edges of the slot. This isn’t quite perfect; I’d prefer a couple of mm more at the back, still, for a touch of extra stability. Just not the hollow dome at the top. But my hands are picky; I can see why this mouse is reviewed as suitable for any grip style and hand size. Removing the cover sheds 8g of weight. Also, jamming a highly compacted little cylinder of kitchen foil in the back of the battery slot allows easy and stable use of a standard AAA battery, too. Further reducing the weight by another 12g, half of an AA battery. Lithiums even lighter (~4g off the AAA). The G305 doesn’t glide perfectly smoothly, but it’s fine on my Logitech cloth mouse surface and it’s easy to buy 3rd party replacement feet if desired. Buttons and wheel are all pretty good. Sensor and lightspeed wireless connection are suppose to be the same as on the (first) G Pro wireless. So I have effectively have a G Pro for half the price, with the easy modification matching the weight too. The software works OK, provided I just use the old “Logitech Gaming Software”. Not the new G Hub, which has an appallingly convoluted menu layout and just plain would not work for simple profile switching and changing buttons for me. In the old software, it seems like G Shift functionality is there (surprisingly). But it won’t let me unassign LMB or RMB altogether in shift mode. So it’s kind of pointless, as one loses the shift button’s use as well, leaving only 3 other buttons that can be modified (including the DPI switch). 5 people found this helpful

So I’ve bought this mouse a few times, writing a review now after swapping to the Pro because I’m looking at mice for my girlfriend. Trust this is one of the best mice on the market, its a light mouse a little heavier than the normal version because of the battery but its still very light. I had the 503 before I went for this and that mouse was good but not great for FPS games, the glide wasn’t as smooth because of the weight. I highly advise the 305 i have only bought it a few times because I’m a heavy duty gamer, I go to work.. i get home and i game. On my days off I game. I get in a good 5-10 hours of gaming a day and i am highly competitive. I play at a high level on most games i play so there is a lot of vigorous movements. I played alot of Apex Legends and Overwatch on this mouse.. So it was the shoot button (left click) that mostly wore down. Honestly there isnt much difference to this and the G Pro except this one requires a AA battery and the Pro i can just charge at my desk while i use it. I got the pro on sale so it wasnt much more expensive than this at full price. Please if you are looking for a more budget mouse get this one.. It is probably the best mouse I’ve purchased. One AA battery lasts a long time even on extensive use one battery would last me a few weeks and it only takes one battery. The only mouse i dont advise is the 903.. its reaaaally good but weak. That mouse only lasted me a few months and that was expensive even on sale. Left click just stopped working entirely. The 903 breaking really fast is what got me to go with this mouse and realise how good this mouse truly is. 5 people found this helpful
