Looks like the great British make from the 60s Marshall has made a comeback. The size is small but that does not equate to its performance, I was truly amazed by the tonal quality of the sound it produced especially the bass, from such a small unit.It paired up very easily with my phone, iPad and computer and you certainly dont need full power even outside in the garden it was plenty loud enough for the neighbours.A usb lead is supplied to charge, which it does in about 2 hours but you will need a usb charger to do it, phone one will do but make sure you have oneThe joystick button for switching on, volume etc. takes a little getting used to but once you have mastered it you find it easy, the tones when it is powered up help. The only other control is the button to activate pairing mode, again very easy. I have 6 devices paired with no problems. Battery life is good and used for 7 hours for a barbecue with power left on the led meter.Overall I think it is Stylish, Vintage looks performs brilliantly compared with some others on the market and great value for a speaker of Quality.

I decided to purchase the Marshall Emberton speaker after extensive research. Im an audiophile so Im pretty picky when it comes to speakers for both home and auto. Got it during Black Friday deal for 99. I couldnt be happier with this speaker. It even sounds better than my Bose Mini Soundlink 2 which cost 200. What stood out to me most is the bass output. I like to place it close to a wall so that the bass radiates throughout the entire room. I work in the operating room and the speakers in the room are inadequate to fill the room. This speaker definitely does that Sound is very crisp and clear as well. Battery last twice as long as my Bose Soundlink mini. I like the fact there is a battery life indicator which no other wireless speaker has. You also have the ability to FF RW using the toggle. I thought the speaker would weigh more since its bigger but it actually weighs less than Bose Soundlink Mini. Even my colleagues have commented on how good this speaker sounds when they hear me playing music from it. A few of them already bought the same speaker because of me. I should get a kickback for advertising for them LOL This is the best wireless portable BT speaker Ive ever heard in this class and price range. Get this speaker You will not be disappointed

Warm tone of Marshall in a little device. Playing CDs converted to ALAC over Bluetooth 5.0 Sure its down coded to AAC and music sounds crystal clear covering the whole spectrum. Nothing is in excess. Just enough Bass Unlike my old Sony XB series, Treble and Mids. The voice clarity is crisp while I listen to Dire Straits and other Rock n Roll albums. I took it out for a house party and everyone was surprised at the first instance of hearing the sound coming out of this little device and clean look of the unit with Marshal Brass emblem. The battery life easily last beyond 20hrs if you are playing it at mid volumes or below and charging is super fast. I pet my gadgets however one day my little one spilled water over it. i just wiped it out and it works just fine. The IPX rating helps in situations like that. You definitely need to do run in for around first 2040 Hrs of playback at around 80 volume and speakers opens up after that . This is the device to go with if you travel light and enjoy RockMetalAcoustics with warm balanceThe Big and only Con This is my second unit after exchange since the first device had USB C Port fit being loose. The charger cable couldnt hold by itself after couple of unplug and replug. I got the second device and out of the box the cable seems to be not so tight fit as the other standard USB C ports so Im keeping my fingers crossed the second device doesnt have the same problem again. On close inspection I see the USB C port is placed a bit inside from the rubber case mold so even the slightest wear and tear would cause the USB C Plug to get loose and not have a sealed fit. Marshall need to correct this design and get the USB C Port closer to the case and have a rubber cover or something to seal it . If the USB C port fails again it makes this wonderful device to literally a brick with no way to charge it. Fingers crossed

Purchased for my husband as he had previously reviewed this speaker online. Compared to Bose, I knew he wanted it after doing his research. He was not disappointed. Hes extremely happy with this speaker. Last a very long time. Sound is amazing Would definitely recommend.

When I got the opportunity to review this speaker I jumped at the chance because I had been thinking about buying an outdoor speaker and wasnt sure what to get. This speaker is well made and seems very robust. Its small enough to be fully portable but feels solid. It takes up very little room. The classic design looks really stylish. The gold control button looks good and is used to control the volume and skip tracks forwards and backwards. It was very easy to set up with the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone. We used it outside and the sound was really good. Our garden is quite open to surrounding fields and the sound didnt get lost.

Want a portable speaker to take to the beach, camping, or have with you poolside Just get this. This is a solid speaker that gets loud for its size and doesnt distort the sound. In addition it is IPX7 certified so you dont have to worry about it getting wet.You know the name Marshall for a reason for me the IPX7 certification is a big deal. I havent had to worry about people canon balling around the speaker while listening to music by the pool
Colin –
Pros The sound at a reasonable volume is goodGood battery life Easy bluetooth connectionCons Better charging connection. Cable provided does not fully connect due to the rubber casing
Homer –
Very happy with the sound from this little but fairly heavy speaker. The initial battery charge took a few hours. I have used it for several hours since, and the battery indicator has only gone down a couple of bars. I know, its new, rightVery easy to set up and pair. I use it when I sit outside with my dogs on days when it is too hot to wear my wireless headphones. One thing to note I tried plugging into my computers USB port to charge, and got a popup warning that the device requires more power than the USB port can provide. But I have a power strip with USB plugins, and this worked fine. The charging cord is a decent length at 4 feet 1.2 meters. It is also great that the speaker can be used while it is charging. Not all have this feature.

With classic look but a portable speaker with powerful sound does feel the pure music. It is packed with the basic necessary to go cordless and easy to connect with any devices, and just enough to control of volume and give sense of battery life nicely. The hardware feels sturdy, speaker panels covered with metal alike net for both side., the rest part of body covered with rubber alike feeling material that give look of strong lasting to any occasion, and less worrisome if falls or get scrached or wet in the pool. For controls, it has on one side battery indicator that gradually shows number of bars as fully charged or how much of it left while playing. The second light is Power on and connected indicator to the opposite side which is next to Power button. In the center the controlling knob to manage volume, pause, play, next and previous functions. After having used for a week and half during daily lifestyle, I would describe it as followingConnection experience with notebook, tablet, and phone are straight forward as per standard in the market. What remarkable handling of multiple connection simultaneously. Having two or more devices with the speaker, then from each device play its own song for instance, the speaker play it immediately, and repeat as the second device play different song with ease and without having to reconnect etc. which was the case observed from two kids while in different devices OS can alternate what they want to listen each and havent done any complain. Hence big plus and tells how flexible and good is the software inside in this sense.Another signature can tell is when it connect, disconnect, power onoff does guitar sound. From sound perspective considering its purpose, not much to expect, but Marshall seems to have put effort to each part of music play as should be at the best in the given scope. Bass, low and high of voice and note does feel in balance and well. In short great sound in overall for what is, and powerful as increase the volume. For instance, listening Miles Davis Autumn Leaves, can hear the trumpet vibrant to the last air while listen the drums from the background, as comes in saxophone with high note. Played from iPhone 11 Pro with Eq mode Jazz, stored on the phoneListening Andrea Bocellis Nessun Dorma, Played from iPhone 11 Pro with Eq Voice Booster, stored on the phone, it plays nicely the voice remarkably as it hit high and low. Then listening streaming Beats1 session Played from iPhone 11 Pro with Eq mode Bass Booster, it plays continuously without interruption and retain its sound level through out listening session.Battery life, havent tracked exactly if it really last 20 hs as the brand claim. But feels it last longer. With full charge, had it played with medium volume for an hour or so, leave for a while and played again, then left for next day to repeat the same. And repeated for four days. And battery life still left 60. Probably this result is different if it is played at full volume continously.Shortcoming1. Some of songs from the device played seems to need to have volume from medium to max to be able to appreciate each part of the composition. Lower to medium feels very low hard to tell.2. Connection after stopped playing and left for a while. It need to Power On or Connect again as automatically doesnt wake up and connect..3. Marshall Icon is only in one side of speaker. Considering plays both side, could have same.Depending on perspective, following are arguable point as shortcoming or good1. I am not a fan of installing app for every device we get, but absent of equalizer in the hardware itself nor Marshall app to control it and having to rely on each device OS equalizer feels bit odd as have to look for it.2. Bit heavy, so having to carry in the backpack among many items, tablet and phone then this speaker going to somewhere to spend the day, addon wight eels quite heavy. Due to this, even its intend is for mobility, it has its own downside and optimal for certain use case.3. Unable to replace battery in long term use as it get depleted hence cant save the sound from the speaker unless always use plugged. For last, aside of price point, in general is good product that represent the brand while bring fun to the music experience.

Totally in love with the Marshall Emberton. We choose Emberton cos of the simple design. The feel of it feels solid, rigid. Tough It gives us the boomsound Front and Back. We love hearing songs with lots of Bass. Very powerful. The added Brass colours is a nice touch. A knightly look. No regret choosing Marshall Emberton
Andrew –
Pros Good Build quality, looks and feels ruggedDecent sound and quite good volumeCons The control button is utterly useless. I cannot use it other than to pause and turn the device on and off. Any time I try for volume, it either skips forwardback or pauses.
hardeyy –
Its amazing. Compact. Battery life seems insane.2. negatives the startup sound the bass but its still pretty good considering how small the speaker is
Geo170 –
Great sounding speaker. Fills the room and easy to transport. You will need to purchase a carrying case seperately. Base and treble automatic. No equalizer adjustment. Durable and designed very nicely. Good buy.

This is my 3rd portable Bluetooth speaker. The other two were Altec Lansing. Both of which were OK but werent very loud and both crapped out on me in a very short period of time. I just get this Marshall and immediately I recognized the superior sound despite the small size. I was impressed with the Sony in this price range, as well as the Bose. But neither had the value I felt this has Price, sound quality, and the ability to be loud. I hope this will last for years and can star in multiple tailgate lots as well as in multiple rooms in my house and backyard.
MarkusMN –
The Marshall name is well known to us guitar enthusiasts. When I saw the speaker, I had to have it. Not only for their quality and nostalgia, but I knew that the sound would be very good.I charged it up, paired to my phone and rocked the house. It was simple to set up and sounded great. Its small and powerful and looks amazing. What sets this apart from other portable speakers is the dynamics of the sound coming from it. It pours out sound from the front and back, submersing my office with a surround sound quality. The bass is amazing. I listen mostly to 80s rock and roll and tested this with a variety of sounds including metal, blues, country and ballads. All sounded amazing through this little speaker. It is also waterproof for up to one meter, making this an ideal outdoor or beach speaker. The battery life rated for 20 hours or more, so it will last all day. This would be an excellent choice for camping, fishing, or even hiking due to how small and light it is. I will use in my office where I store some of my nicer guitars, adding to the looks of the area. Finally, the top of the unit has controls for pairing, volume control, pause, start, skip ahead and skip backward. This was a very well designed speaker.I highly recommend this. It is very nice looking and even better sounding. The bass is unbelievable for a little speaker.
1or2 –
Great sound in a little box. Funny thing but if you have it at ear level the sound is so so but if you put it a bit higher it sounds great. The on off button stinks. A lot of times you think youve turned it off and it just stays on and drains the battery. Also, it doesnt shut off if you dont quit the music app. Kind of stupid.
Rachael –
Pros Everything about this speaker is fantastic. Its got great quality of saying a range. So much as my dad wanted one for his birthday after hearing mine blast out ACDC and was impressed with the sound. Says a lot really. Highly recommend itemCons None honestly. Marshall have knocked it out the park with this Little gem

Highly recommend this bluetooth speaker for use when cleaning the house, when you have friends over or just listening while your sunning it up in the garden Sound is amazing, great bass and volume You can tell the quality with its weight and how it looks. had 3 bluetooth speakers in past and this one is definitely the best. Great battery life, great range from mobile to speaker. Love this one
Applelover –
The best portable speaker I purchased in a long time. The clarity, the bass, and loudness inside this small unit is so surprisingly awesome. And if youre a Marshall fanatic like I am, its a must and a plus
Monica –
Pros The sound quality is excellent, couldnt fault it for the priceCons The device has functionality issues, you cant go from listening to music to playing a WhatsApp voice message seamlessly. This is a big issue for me.
DebsR63 –
Not only does this look great but the sound quality is fantastic for a portable speaker. It was very simple to use and pairing was very easy to my phone. We tried it out in the house then took it into the garden, just perfect when you need flexibility around the home or on holiday.Very pleased indeed 0
Joanne –
Pros Design is nice, looks smart. Volume goes up to a substantial level and music actually sounds better the louder it goes Speaker front and back for good all round sound. Easy to use and connect to my phone.Cons Sound can sound muffled if the speaker is placed near a wall or large object so needs space all around it. Charging cable a little loose when plugged into speaker but charges up no problem.

Absolutely love this portable speaker. Beautiful design, very slick, small but powerful, its so easy to turn on and set up Literally press the powder button go on to the Bluetooth on your device and press connect your reach to go. Amazing sound quality, brilliant for inside and garden, beach, By the pool as its waterproof to some extent and perfect size. Comes with usb lead to charge but no plug. Overall love it

A very good portable size speaker. Very easy to use and connect to phones etc to listen to music.Cant fault it. Im very happy with the usability of this speaker. The sound quality is brilliant Not too bassy or tinny sounding. Just really good quality.
Armandine –
Pros The rock nerd I am loves the fact that it plays a different guitar riff when you switch it onoffconnect Bluetooth. The sound quality is incredible considering the size of the brick itself.Cons Nothing
CanLew –
Pros Best speaker in its class that I have tested. The build quality is top notch, very solid. The sound is smooth and very clear. A speaker like this makes Luther Vandross sound like a god Cons It leaves a bit to be desired with songs that have lowfrequency bass. For example, Sam Smiths How Do You Sleep, when the beat drops 35 secs in, you will notice that something is missing. Verdict I brought multiple speakers that day to test and this speaker beat the pack If you want the lower beatdropbass, youll need to purchase the Marshall Kilburn II.
MeatCurtains –
Ok. This is my first time purchasing this brand and it was blindly thst I picked up this model. I mean I researched it after I saw it on the BB website by looking it up on YouTube and the Marshall webpage. It was sold out everywhere I was lucky to find BB was taking orders again abd I soon jumped on it. I have the Apple HomePod ave the Sonos Move, but I needed something smaller and more portable to take with me to work. The day this thing came and I was finally able to listen to it I was completely blown away Compact, mobile, and sounds amazing The reviews on this speaker are real abd it just has a full and rich sound for something its size. Im definitely pleased with it and at 150 its hands down the best compact mobile Bluetooth speaker in its class

Got this speaker on sale for 99.99 during Christmas. Great deal and awesome speakers. Marshall is a good brand speaker. Sound quality is great.
PSI76 –
I absolutely love this. Its a beautiful little thing with amazing sound quality. Its small enough to carry around and has very good battery life. I would highly recommend it, specially at this price.
TheDuchess –
I love everything about this little speaker except the onoff switch. Im having a hard time developing the right touch needed to turn the unit on and off without pressing it several times. Its not intuitive. Other than that, I love the sound and the feel of the speaker.
MaxSr –
Great awesome sound from Marshall, easy to carry, water resistant. Mostly use it to take out in backyard when I cooking out, great speaker for being that compact. A bit over priced but great if you catch it on sale.
LPisme –
Exactly what I was looking for. Great sound, perfect size, easy to use. Has connected to all my devices with zero issues didnt even have to read the refreshingly short instructions. Waterproof was key, and its holding up to be fair, I havent really tested the limits of this, but I do use in the shower and never skips a beat Also, the design is way cooler than other portal speakers Ive had. Didnt know I even cared about that, but now that I have a good looking speaker I would be proud to sit it in the middle of friendsfam when we start getting together again.Overall very happy with this purchase. Would definitely recommend.

Pros Excellent sound quality. Lightweight, so its easy to carry yet robust and well constructed. Easy to connect to bluetooth. Looks really good too.Cons None as far as Im concerned.

You havent heard your music until you play it through this speaker. The clarity is indescribable. Simple to set up, soft rubber casing and only a few discreet buttons to keep the style of this speaker on point. Long battery life quick to charge. If your undecided on this purchase, dont be. Add it to your basket head to checkout. You wont regret it. This is must have for any household any music genre. Enjoy
Kafka –
I love this speaker. It has very good sound quality for its size. It fills a room very well. It does have a lot of bass to it, but sounds great. The battery life has been excellent. I have gotten around 15 hours of play on one charge so far, and I still have three bars to go. It does not cut out as long as you are within range. The range seems to be quite far. I live in a good size two bedroom apartment and can get as far away from it as possible at least 35 feet. The control joystick works with no flaws. It is also flush with the top, so if you set your phone on top of the speaker it will not touch the controls and it is difficult to accidentally hit the controls with your hand. It plays from both sides and the Marshall writing is only on one side. I have not tested anything relating to water resistance.
Jackie W –
By far the best Bluetooth speaker Ive bought. Sound is excellent, charge lasts for ages, good looking product and reasonably priced can carry it round from room to room with me Will be easy to take away with me also. Really amusing sound of rock guitar when you switch in and off. Would highly recommend
cusedice –
Had this unboxed, connected to my BT and playing music within minutes. It had about half a charge on it out of the box. Just hold down the primary multifunction button on the top of a second or two to turn it on. Classic Marshall design and a nice touch where it plays a guitar riff when you turn it on and off. Feels light weight and durable at the same time. It carries an IPX7 waterproof rating, which means it can be submerged in up to 3ft of water for 30 minutes. Essentially this means its dust proof and if you drop it in the water itll be fine. Great for taking to the beach without worrying about sand getting in.In terms of sound, Im docking it one star because it doesnt have the same sound quality as others in this price point. Bass is lacking a bit, but dont get me wrong, this thing can get loud. Its impressive for a waterproof design, its just not the best Ive heard. I did notice an improvement if you can put it with the back towards a solid surface, about 35 away. Because of the multidirectional way this speaker puts out music, giving it something to bounce off of gives it an even deeper sound quality.Overall, this is a solid BT speaker at this price point. The sound is very good, not the best, but very good, especially for having the waterproofdustproof qualities. Also, the design is way better looking than most of the other waterproof BT speakers out there. This thing just looks cool and sounds good. Its easy to setup and use, has great battery life and includes a USB charging cable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a lightweight, durable speaker that looks great and can produce loud, good quality sound.
Binxry –
Dont let the size fool you. This thing works. I love the size, design, style and sound quality. It feels premium in hand and also durable. Perfect for a minimal set up and easy to carry onthego.
Rp8423 –
This little speaker is amazing and the sound that comes from it is so nice and loud a speaker of its size. There are no controls for bass or treble with an app or anything like that but that dont matter because this speaker is a must have especially if you can get it in sale. The black and brass one by far looks the best as well
Ec07 –
I bought this after looking a few different models, i definitely made the right decision. The sound quality is amazing, no crackling even at loud volumes. Has speakers on both front and back which gives a complete surround sound experience. Easy to charge and very portable.
Marshal –
The product is awesome Great sale price Delivery was very very slow It took 4 weeks. I thought I ordered it in plenty of time for Christmas but was very dissatisfied with delivery I did end up getting it at 5 pm on Christmas Eve. Need faster delivery The purchase date was 11272020. The date on this review is wrong.
Gary –
Pros Really nice sounding unit. Ive had Marshall cabs for playing music for years and this doesnt disappoint for listening to music. A lot of oomph from a little box. If I could afford it I would have one in every room.Cons Its a pity you cant link them together as you can with some of the others in the range. Also, keep it away from a wall, sounds better a foot away or more.

After countless hours of reading reviews I decided to go with this very well put together speaker. I was mainly looking for a speaker to hook up to my record player and have something that could also be taken out on the move and this ticks every box I needed. The volume of sound that comes out of the small speaker is truly amazing, and with me generally listening to alternative songs sometimes making sense of a complex song is washed out on speakers, but this little beaut with its unique signature sound makes vocals very clear and those lovely bass lines a joy to hear. Its prices very well in the market and maybe a little on the higher end but Im glad I spent the little extra as I know Ill have countless hours listening to my music knowing that charging it again wont be needed with up to 20 hours of life, and Im generally not playing this at full volume so the batteries will last. Visually this is also a lovely wee thing, I can have it sitting proudly in any corner of my flat, and I love that marshal keep things simple and stylish, it feels very well put together and with the water proofing, getting caught in the rain or steam from the bathroom wont and hasnt chased me any cause for concern. Im am over the moon with this purchase.

Wow wow and wowzers, the speaker might be small but but trust me you will love it. Runs fantastically and connects effortlessly, once charged holds its power for very long time. Display indicates when its running low, very clear and loud sound quality which Im very impressed with. Only criticism attracts a lot of dust but cleans easily. Definitely recommend this guys you wont regret it.
MightyMarshall –
Loved this speaker from the moment it was turned on. The sound is incredible for a speaker this size and it was simple to operate. My only complaint was you need a USB port to charge the device. It did not come with any means to plug into a wall outlet. So you must use a cube you already own or find some other method. A minor inconvenience, but notable nonetheless…

Im in love with my new speakersThe cream look is gorgeous and they feel like a lovely decoration to add to my room before you even get to playing music through themSound wise for such small speakers I am so impressed with the audio quality.Havent taken them outside for a spin yet but in my flat the sound is dreamy.Worth every penny.
Sideshow –
Honestly its the loudest, clearest sounding little Bluetooth speaker Ive ever heard. Real deal Marshall tech going on here….I expected it to be crushing, being that I play music and Im well aware of the Marshall brand. But jeez if this isnt the best Ive had yet Had a JBL one that I really thought was great, but next to this, it really isnt close. Quite literally BANG for you buck
ranger –
Just purchased this morning, and I can honestly say that I am amazed at the sound quality of this little gem. Full base, Cristal clear voice and instrumentation. The room is filled with sound. At this point I am just thrilled with this purchase. Great value for the price. Kudos to Marshall
WIL20 –
Firstly, this speaker is very attractive. You can tell its such good quality just from its aesthetic its heavy, with a cream, almost leather casing and brass detailing and looks great in my flat just as a decorative piece. But I do use it as intended and am really happy with the sound quality. Its really easy to connect to I didnt even read the instructions and starts playing instantly. The sound is very clear and even when the volume is high the quality doesnt suffer. Ive used it for music and podcasts, and both sound crystal clear. The battery life is ideal too. All other portable speakers Ive tried in the past just dont last very long, which can be annoying, but this one has 20 hours battery life. Ive used it lots at home and still am yet to charge it.I think this speaker would make a great gift for a music lover, just because its so good looking and is exceptional quality.

Marshall Emberton Bluetooth Portable Speaker BlackThe Marshall Emberton Bluetooth speaker packs a large sound in a very small package. And the sound coming out of this small package is very good indeed. When I first played the speaker I was shocked not just at the quality of sound but it actually does have a very convincing 360 degree sound field. This is a very small package that is just 6 inches long by 3 inches high and wide. The little speaker has a very nice feel in the hand and enough weight to let you know there is something special going on here. The speaker feels very well made and should be a great travel companion. I had no problem getting a full days sound from the battery. The sound is very clear and detailed. It is very well balanced and has an amazing amount of bass for such a small package. With its nice 360 degree sound field and small size you can just about put it anywhere and it will fill space with great sound. The waterproof exterior is covered in a soft rubber like material that should do well in protecting it from the elements. I especially like that it uses the new USB type C connection for charging. The speaker paired very quickly with my Samsung S10 and has a very good bluetooth range. The buttons at the top are very simple with the pairing button and a central button for powering and controlling the audio playback. It also has a very useful power meter. Really just about all you need to keep it focused on the music. This is really a very neat travel package but I would have liked to have had it so I could charge up a connected device since it does seem to have plenty of battery to spare. But that is just a small suggestion for what is a very well done portable speaker. And the Marshall aesthetic is just plain cool. This is a keeper for sure.

If youve ever been to an arena rock concert 1960s 2019 art form, then youve likely experienced the Marshall brand and amplification on stage possibly even an entire wall of Marshall Amps capable of leaving your ears ringing for days.My history with Jim Marshalls legendary British amplifier company dates back to the 1990s when I purchased my first Marshall guitar amplifier. Checking all the boxes for portable personal speakers. Durable, water resistant design. Ultraportable without sacrificing clean crisp sound. Still sounds good at max volume.Pros Small portable form factor. No problem throwing this in a bag, carrying around in your hand. Sit it on the pool ledge, garage bench, shelf in the living room. Music anywhere you go. Powerful sound in a small box. I really enjoyed how clean the sound was with no distortion, even at louder volumes. Durable design. The outside is a tough rubberized housing with the iconic Marshall mesh grill on the front. It has an IPX7 rating meaning a splash or a dip in the water isnt likely to create any issues. Ease of use. Pairing was easy using the small dedicated button. Powering on and powering off is done by holding the button in the middle which also serves as volume, pauseplay, and track navigation. USB C. Thank you for helping the world adapt to this superior connector. 5 Hours of playtime with 20 minutes of charging. Powering on and off plays a little guitar riff sound which I thought was a nice touch.Cons None to speak of. Youre getting whats advertised.Other Thoughts I would have liked to have seen an auxiliary outlet, or at least the capability through the USB C port to connect to my computer or other devices. Not a deal killer, just a personal preference.

Amazing sound quality. Easy to setup. Only complaint I have is regarding the connectivity. Sometimes the speaker disconnects from my phone and connects to my wifes phone and vice versa. I am not sure about its frequency but weve faced it twice so far.

I really like the sound of the bass with this speaker. I can hear very clearly the bass of it and I think this is what differentiates from other speakers. The volume is clear and good too. Its a must have item for parties

I am glad I bought this speaker. I seen it on sale and I decided that I was going to buy it. I like to travel and this can easily fit in my backpack. The sound is great and the battery life is around 20 hours. Well worth it. Its a small speaker but packs a serious punch

The Marshall name has a lot to live up toThis little speaker really doesnt disappoint, opening the compact box and youre greeted by the essentialsSpeakerQuick start guideUSB C cableThere is not a charger supplied with it, but its USB A to C cable, so any charger will do the job, although if you wish to take advantage of the fast charge ability, you will need the suitably powered charger, my iPad Pro charger fitted the bill. You switch on the speaker using the gold coloured turned aluminium multi toggle switch on the top, you are greeted by a guitar riff and the battery gauge lights up.Press and hold the Bluetooth connect button, another guitar riff, add emberton to your chosen device and youre doneSound quality is excellent, crisp and clear with great bass, easy track and volume adjustment using the multi toggle on top, the simplicity of the control really are a plus point, no fussy touch sensitive buttons. The sound can easily fill a room with no loss of quality or distortion. The emberton is a compact and weighty item, feels completely solid, battery life claims are to be believed, Ive had this running daily whilst working from home, usually get through a few playlists a day, 34 hours and Ive not charged it for a week.Highly recommended.

Amazing Bluetooth speaker I first heard this on YouTube fantastic sound quality If you like vocals which I do they stand out. Its got a really amazing punch sound great for rock music only downside there is no auxiliary connections but dont let that put you off you will be amazed how loud to speak really is highly recommended you wont be disappointed.

This Marshall Emberton sounds much bigger and better than its relatively small size suggests. It has room filling sound that is warm and rich with tight punchy bass and clear mids and highs. Volume goes loud enough to fill even a large room. The soundstage is distortion free at most volumes for most genres. It even easily handles challenging genres like hip hop and EDM. The only area where it starts to show any weakness is with really low subbass, which is understandable. Ive tried numerous types and models of portable speakers and I am yet to find any small portable bluetooth speaker that handles really low subbass well. JayZs 99 Problems sounds just fine on the Emberton but Tyler the Creators See You Again doesnt sound quite as good due to the very low and hard hitting subbass frequencies throughout the song. As Ive mentioned, this is not unique to the Emberton. The latter song even causes one of my higher end portable speakers to start crackling like an amplified bowl of Rice Krispies.Marshalls signature amp design is unique and cool looking. The simple layout of the Emberton controls consists of two buttons and an LED battery indicator strip, all of which are easy and intuitive to use. The large gold multifunction button on the top center controls the power, volume and track advancerewind. The small button to the left of the gold multifunction button controls Bluetooth pairing and easily pairs devices with a twosecond push. The red LED battery level indicator strip is vivid, bright and makes it easy to quickly determine remaining battery life or charging status at a glance. Its easily viewable from any observable distance and is also visually appealing. It adds nicely to the overall aesthetic. The compact horizontal form factor of this speaker makes it less prone to accidental knockover than vertical cylindrical speakers yet doesnt result in a noticeably larger footprint. Despite the small size, the speaker came in at 24.7 ounces, over 1.5 pounds, when weighed. The compact size and design makes the Emberton appear deceptively lighter than it actually weighs. A USB C cable is included for charging but no AC adapter is included. This is a great sounding little speaker with excellent battery life and enough loud high quality sound to get a party started just about anywhere. Even if used as a stationary room speaker, its more than sufficient for a dorm room, small apartment or any small to moderate sized room. It can even fill large rooms with sound although the soundstage sounds best in small to moderate sized spaces.

I read the reviews thoroughly and took some time to arrive on this specific product. I bought during Black Friday but on reflection would have been happy to pay full price. It has excellent sound quality for the size, I havent tested it outside yet owing to the time of year but assume it would perform well.As others have commented, the start up noise is tedious and no obvious way to disable that, but I can live with it.The build quality appears good and aesthetically it beats the rivals at its price point.

Heavy weight mini Bluetooth amp. Looks great , solid build. Sounds excellent just like youd expect a Marshall to. Lots of little extras to find like gold coloured knob on top just like full size amp. Glad I bought it. Always loved Marshall.

Pros Looks amazing and the sound quality is brilliant. Battery life is also something Ive never seenCons Doesnt go as loud as Id like but it is only a small device

Love this speaker. I had been thinking about getting it for a while. Sounds better than any portable speaker I have had so far. Excellent battery life. I would definitely buy another one. It is super portable and the fact that its water resistant is an added bonus.

This is a great Bluetooth Speaker. My only complaint is that there is no App for it that will allow you to adjust Bass, Treble etc. I also own a JBL Bluetooth Speaker, and you can make adjustments with the JBL App. Marshall needs to step up the game a little. Otherwise it is a great speaker with the Traditional Marshall sound.

Im a bit of an audiophile when it comes to speakers as I listen to music on the regular. I was originally leaning towards purchasing one of the smaller Sony portable speakers that were on demo when I stumbled upon the Emberton hidden on a shelf in the dark. Ill tell you what it has been the best portable speaker Ive ever owned. Not only does it look fantastic and somewhat minimalclassic which I like, but it also sounds fantastic I take this with me to telescope trips Im an astrophotographer and also use it as my computer speaker I usually use headphones so I didnt want to invest in a heavy duty surround sound system for my small apartment. I would highly recommend this speaker to anyone thats currently in the market.

marshall has the history of great sounding audio equipment. this little bluetooth speaker sounds just as awesome as its big brother and sister speakers. it is quite portable and it makes mobile listening so easy
flipmode –
Its a really cool, wellmade little speaker, it feels substantial in your hands. Whats cool about the styling is that I can display it with my living room dcor and rather than sticking out like a soar thumb, it complements it. The sound is also rather impressive for a speaker this small. Great detail in the instrumentation, however the volume is kinda low. You have to have it at about 70 percent volume to really get the best sound out of it. At lower volumes you dont hear the details in the music the speaker is capable of producing. Also, dont expect a great deal of bass. The UE speakers are probably better at that. In all Im happy with it, but I do wish it produced just a bit more bass.
Shaunh20 –
Bluetooth speakers are so plentiful in the market that you really have to have something different I think to set it apart. The unique look of this Marshall Emberton is what got me interested in this speaker as it eschews the traditional round shape and gaudy colors of many of the market leaders in bluetooth speakers. This one looks classy and really cool and with the name Marshall behind it you would think it sounds pretty darned good as well. Im happy to report that is the case for the Marshall Emberton. The Marshall Emberton is about as unpretentious as speakers get, with a very simple setup that allows you to get to using it without any hassle at all. Setup is as simple as charging it, turning the speaker on and then going to the bluetooth settings of your phone or tablet and linking it up. Thats it there are no apps or anything to download. My first music I tested this with was some Black Label Society and then some Judas Priest and the sound was amazing, even at high volumes there was no distortion at all. My only slight concern was the bass was a little outclassed by the mids and highs so I wondered if rap and hiphop would struggle at all. My next test was some classic hiphop and of course I played some 2Pac to which I was relieved to hear the bass kick in and absolutely no distortion whatosever. I continued to try all different types of music and found that everything sounded very clear and very good no matter whether I played it at low, mid or high volume. Now this speaker is really loud, no doubt about it, but its not going to blow your mind either. But for its weight and size it can really fill a decent room. This speaker will be an excellent speaker for us to use on the porch to have some drinks and other areas and with its small size and long run time on a charge I think itll likely be my go to speaker going forward. Id recommend this without hesitation
JKTexas –
Small, powerful, rich, with a build quality youd expect from a Marshall product. The sound volume is extraordinary given the small form factor, with little distortion at its max volume. Worth every penny.
EZmoney –
Marshall is well known for its iconic Rock and Roll amplifier sound and this little Emberton speaker delivers it in spades A big sound from a very small portable speaker. I think they knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Listening to Hendrix, ZZ Top, the Stones, Samantha Fish, and a bunch of other great artists bring a big smile to my face. I might have to buy a second one

The build and sound quality on this Marshall Emberton speaker is head, shoulders and torso above anything else Ive used in the past For starters it is really solidly built with a nice nonslip rubber coating. The controls are so simple, anyone could use it And the sound quality is incredible Such depth of bass and no tinniness on the treble, even when turned up full Real Marshall quality Recommended to anyone who likes listening to music
Minih –
Small, stylish, portable speaker. Sound quality is really good for an average person, an audiophile might be more selective and can get quite loud. A little heavy on the base at times but overall really good. The only downside is that there is no aux outlet and only Bluetooth compatible.
Von2von2 –
The speaker is no bigger than 2 packs of butter but boy does it make up for its size in power. For me the balance of bass to treble is perfect even at full blast. Theres no distortion in sound at high volume and the clarity is amazing. For some people the inability to adjust the levels may prove frustrating but in my opinion it doesnt need it. This speaker would be perfect to take on holidays or picnics, pairing the Bluetooth is easy peasy. Its ideal for listening to books as well as music as the clarity is brilliant. My husband and I compared the sound of the Marshall with a much bigger portable speaker made by Roberts and quite frankly there was no difference in power, but for me the Roberts was a little wooly at top volume compared to the clear tones of the Marshall. All in all a wonderful little piece of engineering that doesnt disappoint.

Pretty basic, but with power. It does what it suppose to do Bought it for myself and it was on sell in Bestbuy.com.I had to get another portable bluetooth speaker because I lost my Sony SRSXB20 which I really like. So far, the Marshall Emberton is not giving me problems and does not disconnect on its own while playing music which my Sony did at times which was annoying.Play your heavy tunes, crack open some cold ones with this Marshall and let your neighbors listen.

Exceptional bedside speaker. Small but mighty. Best feature is the long battery life. The usbc charging cable is far more durable than my previous Bose miniusb and easier to insert correctly.

Great Speaker But, Had batterie issues. I had to exchange it but never receive it due to shipping issues to battery during trasportaion. I was planning to order a new one but the item went to full price. Now I have no speaker due to this issue and the return exchange process that took to long. I recommend this iteam should be picked up and checked out before you take it home.

Pros 360 sound.Instant Blue tooth connectionCons Could do with a hard wire socket for phones with head phone socket. Save battery on the phone if your not moving about. Not major, but would be nice to have.

Very nice looking and feeling speaker but….Dosnt go very loud and there is hardly any base plus its a lil heavy for a portable speaker. What I do like about this speaker is that it wont let you turn it up too loud…. it actually bleeps at you to warn you, that you are at the max.Was very easy to set up and boi it does look very smart.I wouldnt but this at full price

Amazing powerful portable speakerThis smart looking portable speaker, maybe compact in size but it is not in sound. It is solid and a little heavier than I expected, but this adds to the quality of the overall product. The sound is clear and powerful, with no distortion when levels are adjusted and sound increased. Connects very easily via Bluetooth to both phone and iPad. Streamed a film on iPad, used speaker as sound amazing quality. Charges via a USB. Highly recommend.

Ive used JBL charge 5, Sonos roam and Sony XB33 and was never satisfied or ended up being faulty I ended up going with Marshall do to its past and what they are known for, rock and roll. This would be the best speaker for rock, punk, heavy metal but it sounds just a good to whatever genre you listen to. This speaker has crisp highs and and mids and does it ever pack good bass for the size for 219 it is cheaper than the Sonos roam Sony and JBL go for this you wont be disappointed
Arwen53 –
The style and quality of this Bluetooth speaker is excellent. It cleverly replicates the look and feel of the original Marshall stage amps and speakers. Its deliberately designed to be noticed, with a rugged exterior and a large gold onoff button. It is portable and robust. My teenage daughter carries it around in her bag and plays it outside with friends. Im not an audio expert but the sound quality seems really good. You can turn it up loud and the soundvocals are still crisp and clear. It makes a slightly annoying loud noise when you first turn it on or when you pair up devices, but this is a minor criticism. Setup was very quick, and the packaging was high quality. Battery life is excellent, and it charges up quickly. There are definitely cheaper speakers out there, but you get what you pay for. It would make a great gift. I would definitely recommend it.

Decent for its size. The multifunction button is sometimes a bit annoying but I imagine itll just take some getting used to. Otherwise, great little speaker. Durable. Cute guitar riff features. Easy to set up. Still in the process of breaking it in but the sound so far isnt bad.

The thing I love most about this speaker is that its simple. No confusing button setup, complicated settings to switch, or ridiculous shapes and designs.I pulled this speaker out of the box, plugged it in to start charging, held down the power button for two seconds to turn it on and then searched for it on my phone. It was set up and playing in less than 30 seconds. The sound is great. Loud, clear and powerful for the size. Dont expect it to fill a family room, but set it next to you on the beach and you and all your friends will be able to easily hear your music while you enjoy a day out. You can easily turn the volume up, down or skip songs from the button on the speaker and I like that it has an external power indicator so you know how close you are to running out of power. Now a few other things to note if youre thinking of this speaker. It comes with a USBc charging cable, but no wall plug, so youll have to find your own power supply. This is really Bluetooth only and the USBc jack is the only port, so dont get this if you need to connect to your player with a 3.5mm wire. It does not connect for playing music through the USB port and you cant play music off of a flash drive or other memory card. When I initially plugged it in it was at about 25 power and it took around 2 hours to fully charge, so it was a bit on the longer end of things, but if you feel the weight of this thing and consider its putting out pretty good sound for 20 hours, thats to be expected. My only product improvement suggestion would be that they should have molded into the speaker one of those holes that you can loop a string around to attach the speaker to something. Its waterproof to a degree which means I would love to take it with me on a kayak or paddle board to have music out on the lake. Im only concerned that it could fall into the water and be lost forever. I could put it in a bag or try to tie it up but doing it well enough that I know its secure would muffle the sound and restrict access to the controls. If I could attach a string and clip it to my watercraft of choice, then even if I tip or flip the speaker would only be a couple feet in the water for a few minutes. I still give this 5 stars, but this simple design upgrade would have made it perfect.

When I first listened to this speaker I did not like it, the bass seemed like it was lacking and the clarity wasnt all that great….that was yesterday.Today I was going to take it back but decided to listen to it one more time, this time on the deck where it would see most of its use. When I really listened to it, the bass is nice…for its size. You cant compare it to. home system with dedicated subcenterfrontsrears. You cant compare it to the system in your car, you have to realize that it will have limitations due to its size. The bass is nice but your not going to hear much of it 30 feet away. I listened to it about 2.5 3 ft from my head at about 13 rd volume and it sounds really good. I cranked it to about 70 volume and once again it sounds good and is surprisingly loud. The lowsmidshighs are separated and its impressive.I compared it to my JBL Flip 5 and they both sound good but differently at different volumes. The Flip 5 gets louder faster than the Emberton but once you reach 50 volume the Emberton begins to catch up. This is something that I noticed with all the Marshalls. I hate the way the design the volume control. I understand that they set volume based on dB gain and not linear like most other products, my home system is the same way and it took awhile to get used to it.I think if you consider everything I said, you will find that it sounds good.Price the JBL Flip 5 sounds 99 as good as the Marshall in my opinion so its a toss up if you want something that looks good, sounds good, more compact, sturdier feeling, longer battery life and has Bluetooth 5, go with the Marshall Emberton otherwise buy the JBL Flip 5. The Flip 5 will probably be on sale Labor Day weekend for 89 99. Either way you cant go wrong. As of this writing, the JBL Charge 4 is on sale for 119.00…thats a bargain

I bought this speaker for my husband for Christmas. He was thrilled. He loves the sound quality, battery life, and old school look. It delivers awesome sound. Cant go wrong Marshall products.

The first thing I thought was how small it looked. Which is cool for portability. Its like someone shrunk an amp. The style is classic, very cool The sound is incredible I was surprised at how good it is for something so portable. Its easy to connect devices to it with great and really simple controls on the speaker. The battery life is also excellent. The only problem I have is stopping the kids from stealing it from me Excellent

I own several portable speakers from market leading brands which gave Marshalls Emberton speaker some tough competition. The speaker is a good solid speaker, not too heavy but equally light enough to hold in your hand or throw into your backpack. It passed the submerge in water test although I felt it took a little longer than other waterproof speakers to shake off the water and return to normal sound. The Emberton is definitely built more for a bass sound with a reassuring little electric guitar riff as it turns on. The trebles are ok, not as crisp as some speakers but good enough to balance with the bass. It seems you cant get both excellent bass and trebles in a waterproof speaker, but dont worry the sound is definitely right up there with the best for this class of tough bluetooth speaker.Battery life is good. Ive listened for 14 hours and its still saying about 50 battery life.At the time of writing this I was a little disappointed there was no companion phone app where you could change the sound levels or turn off the speaker remotely, so a star off for that.Overall, I liked the speaker. Marshalls classic design will appeal to many and those liking a bassier sound should definitely put it on your list. Ignore the marketing which looks like its aimed at full body tattoo twenty somethings, this is a speaker for all ages

Love this little speaker. I have several bluetooth speakers from JBL, Ultimate Ears, etc. and bought this Marshall speaker on a whim when it went on sale. It sounds excellent for its small size. Its a dense, solid speaker with a soft shell and feels very sturdy. I like it so much that Im thinking about buying one of the larger Marshall speakers.

This little Marshall Bluetooth speaker is a must. It is stylish, well made and gives a clear beautiful sound with just the right amount of base, even at the highest volume which is probably not required it gives an excellent sound without distortion. The Marshall emberton speaker is also waterproof so if it accidentally gets left in the garden in our beautiful British summers and we get a shower or two you know that this little gem will be quite happy to carry on entertaining you. This feature is also great as it is makes the speaker so easy to clean. The emberton takes a charge in about an hour or a little longer if it is being used and it is just a simple USB connection it lasts for a good 20 hours plus. The speaker is simple to connect and operate with one main controller and a small Bluetooth search button and feels very well made as you would expect from a company like Marshall.Overall this beautiful great sounding well priced speaker is a must for anyone whether at home or on the go and I love it.

this product was good in construction, mobility, portability. It did lack in the loudness for the price of this small speaker. Also in takes a long time to charge.final, its too expensive for what you get.

Ive really enjoyed using this speaker and its versatility.DESIGN Very portable, durable toddler had been at it waterproof and doesnt look it Im a fan of the Marshall brand and this kinda looks like a mini amp.SOUND QUALITY for such a small device is great. I enjoyed music on it vs eg podcasts on it. Great range of sound. Goes so loud I didnt actually manage to get it to the max before it was very very loud indoorsBATTERY life impressive. Handy lit display on top always lit but dulls sightly when been on a while. Charging via USB port nice and easy. Wire but not mains plug providedCONTROLS. I really like the controls and the simplicity the gold knob on the top controls onoff, volume and skipping forward and back. This is the only button other than Bluetooth connection button. Its easy to use and looks good.A good all around speaker with, I think, great style, sound quality and well thought through features. I think Its versatility means it would probably suit most Bluetooth speaker needs But portable outdoor use eg camping or outdoor lockdown gatherings would use all the features to their full potentialBest bit brilliant simplicityWorst bit I really couldnt think of one
Kspradley –
Just a fantastic speakerFirst off, the look is just rad. Had that classic rock star vibe going with a sleek, timeless design. This is something I dont mind leaving out on the shelf for displaydecoration.Second, when you first pick the Emberton up, you feel a quality product. This thing is a beast. I feel like it could roll around in the back of my truck and be totally fine. Have no problems wanting to take this out amongst our rugged Wyoming landscape when I am working, on job sites or car camps. The sound lastly is always the most important to me in speakers. As someone who works with audio as a career in video work, I am a stickler for quality sound and picture. And this eases my audio concerns in a major way. Super crisp, clean sounding audio comes out of this little guy. And the loudness for the size is truly remarkable. Also, audio does comes out on both sides so you get a get all around sound not just a projected playback. But it up a few inches or so away from the back of a shelf or wall and youll get great broadcast of sound for the whole room. The only slight letdown to me was the bass level. This speaker feels a little bass heavy. But you can go into your audio player, like Spotify, and modify the sound real easy. Wish there were some audio controls with this like through an app or something. But found an easy workaround for that.

Very small, but very large sound for similar rooms. Bluetooth works much better than older models, and surprisingly has great bass response for a small unit. Highly recommend.

I had been looking for a portable speaker for some time and so far Im very glad with this one. I use it in the garden and also indoors. The sound particularly the bass is very good. Also very happy with the aesthetics. Battery life is excellent.Easy to useconnect up to our phones.

I have had a few Bluetooth speakers over my time and this one certainly packs the most punch for its size. It looks great and really fun and is easy to put in a bag and take around or move from room to room as you need it. It charges quickly and clearly shows battery on the top something I have had issues with before on other speakers. The functions are simple to use and pairing took 25 seconds.Critically the sound from this is amazing. The bass is rich and the overall quality crisp even when turned up high I have used it about an hour a night for a week and it is only a quarter down on charge.A great looking and sounding little speaker that works well inside and out
Daniel –
Pros Love the sound quality and size of speaker. Highly recommended speaker. Might buy another one for a friendCons Charger port is a bit flimsy and loose, and no aux cable input.
Xianomama –
This is my first Marshall speaker, and I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality of this tinybutmighty powerhouse I have a relatively recent model of portable Bose speaker, which I thought offered a great sound, but when you play your favorite music on this Marshall speaker, its no contest. The battery was charged more than a half way full upon arrival, so I was able to start using it right out of the box. The Bluetooth connection to my iPhone and Samsung tablet were a breeze. Its too soon to tell of its battery life but after about two hours of music appreciation, the battery bars didnt decrease. Its definitely light 1.54 lbs and very portable. One comment about the packaging box it conveyed a very specific message and I felt like I was not their target audience. Perhaps, something for their marketing team to ponder…Other than that, I LOVE this speaker and highly recommend it to all you music enthusiasts

The bass on this little speaker is great. Battery life is great.Sound. Highs and Bass are distinct. Voice comes out clear.Connection. Easy. Simple Bluetooth connection. No need for separate software etc.Battery. I am on day 2 on my typical work from home and I am only down 10. At this rate it will last about 10 days.Appearance. Looks like a guitar amp. Nice colors and feel of rubber around for slip resistance and drop protection.Functionally. Sound comes from both sides. No need to mess with dust covers. Only 1 plug to plug a USB C to charge. 1 multi toggle button to control volume, fast forward, rewind, and power. Another for Bluetooth.I actually had the guts to submerge this in water and it survived…Great job Marshall. I would highly recommend this product.
Onitsua –
Amazing battery life, charges fast, rugged, and sounds great Brought it camping in Joshua Tree a few weeks ago and played it for probably a total of 10 hours and the battery indicator only went down 3 notches out of 10. Was able to price check it after purchase to the sale price of 99 which made it even a better deal. The waterproofing certification is a plus too
JustJoe –
Excellent bass response and omnidirectional stereo output make for a huge amount of sound from such a small box. Simple to operate. Good looking simple design. Im very impressed. Obviously a lot of thought went into design. Only possible drawback is that when played very loud there is some distortion but really, if you want it THAT loud get a bigger one.
ioshua –
Love marshal products. Best bang for your buck. I bought this on sale and I use it daily. Powerful little speaker for the cost. I wish it came with the ability to use an aux cable.

Pros Clear volumes and good bass. Very good battery life. Well made. No complaints at all.Cons No

Great sound, amazing build, solid Bluetooth connection at a competitive price with one MAJOR ISSUE….. If your planning on using this little speaker with a computer or laptop and plan to use it for Zoom or other online video conferencing apps… this speaker will drop the connection after sharing a video.. even when confirming the emberton is the audio output still doesnt work. You have to turn it off and turn it on again in order to work.. additionally if you disconnect and connect youll see EMBERTON twice in your bluetooth list.. so you end up not knowing which is which…. this is suchhh a major problem..not sure how MARSHALL didnt test this… anyhow, maybe their next will work.

Really easy to set up and connected to apple and android phones with no problems. Is a nice weight so very stable and not flimsy. Only charged it once so far since having it a couple of weeks so battery life seems good. Most importantly is the sound quality. Have tested at all volume settings and there is no distortion or loss of quality from turning it up to full across a variety of music genres. There are cheap speakers around but I would say this is worth the money.
Pichitemberton –
Great design and color. Waterproof. I take it with me in the shower. The sound is OK. May not the best but much better than any other at same size and price. Cream color match my furniture and hard to find. Been waiting for this color for a while. Worth the money. Small but powerful. I expected more emphasis on Bass sound.
Klane –
Ive heard other products of this type and went with the Marshall name. It has a great sound, easy set up and usability.I like to listen to booming metal and Im satisfied with this speaker. My only request, for all speakers of this type is adjustability with bass, treble, etc.
Jane –
Pros Excellent sound quality, nice and small, looks goodCons When at full volume the sound loses a bit of quality…wouldnt work for a big party but there are bigger louder models for that purpose. Gets to a decent volume with excellent sound quality which is more than enough for at home, in the garden or for a small gathering

Years ago, I purchased a small bluetooth speaker from Bose for 200the Bose Mini Soundlink II and have grown to love it over years. I bought that speaker right when I started to get more into betterquality audio, having graduated from the 5 Sony earbuds with the retractable case, and the cheap portable speakers that require constant power connections and bluetooth connections were less than quality. And years ago, when I made that purchase, I spent the right amount of money for the right product it was expensive for sure, but to this day that speaker sits on my desk and gets used every single week.Generally speaking, speakers in this categorysmall, portable bluetooth speakersneed to sound great, operate relatively quietly they are mostly singleroom speakers, after all and look great something Ive become to expect in nearly every tech product I buy. After acquiring that Bose speaker, over the years Ive attempted to replace it many times, but could not quite find the perfect fit…either something would look great but not match the sound, or sound great but be too expensive or too large, or some other combination that wasnt quite the Goldilocks JustRight speaker.Years went buy, and while my speaker collection grew when it came to medium and large speakers, I eventually resolved to avoid this small speaker market so as not to put another device back in its box to never be used again. And there have been contenders, for surebut as soon as speakers started becoming circular, a design aesthetic Im just not a big fan of, I stuck with my Bose speaker. But for years, Ive seen Marshall speakers…they are obviously big players in the game, and theres something about their design that has always caught my eye consistency.I. Love. Consistency. It is among the most important things to me, and consistency in design, especially when it comes to speakers and the decades of development that have gone into sound science since my first stereo speakers, there is something that Ive always viewed as timeless with Marshalls speaker designs. Such is the case with the Marshall Emberton speaker, which quite frankly is as much a decoration as it is a speaker. It is slightly more modern than the standard woodbox Marshall speaker designs Ive seen over the years and even recently. This model, though, maintains a very specific design language to itself and to its brand, providing an almost guitaramp look with the rubberized textured grip around the sides and along the top of the speaker. Even down to the power on and power off sounds which sound like an electric guitar, this is a product that knows its audience. And, while Im not some metalhead, nor am I in a band, Ive wanted a Marshall speaker for years almost purely for how they look.In terms of physical size, its what you expect from a small portable speakerand as long as you dont mind its boxy design as opposed to the cylindrical design alternative, you should have no issues fitting this into your backpack, suitcase, gym bag or picnic gear. The entirety of the speaker seems to be designed around simplicity, which is another thing that is consistent in its features as much as it is in its design.Simple interactions with a bluetooth speakerall of the standard things like play, pause, volume, forward and back are handled with a single control knob, which isnt a knob at all although looks like one, except for the fact that it is flush with the top of the unit. Instead, it would be more accurate to call this a control stick, in that it mimics the functionality of a joystick it also serves as the power button when pressed and held. This button feels great to interact with, not feeling new or stiff out of the box, but like its intended to be used comfortably. The only other button on the body of the unit is the pairing button this speaker will connect to multiple sources at once and, depending on your devices, will do a decent job at switching back and forth if you have more than one device paired at a time. And speaking of simple, this speaker has only one portand thank goodness, its USB Type C. The port serves as the charging port, and Marshall includes a USB Type A to USB Type C cable in the box, although no power brick. Its also worth noting that there is no linein port, which is fine as far as Im concerned, but nonetheless something to consider.Generally speaking, I have negative feeling toward smart phone companion apps that are created by manufacturers of consumer audio equipment…in many cases, I find them to be over engineered, or lacking in features, or both. I love having access to an equalizer for sure, but there are plenty of thirdparty options for that if its all you need. Marshall, while having applications for their other speakers, does not seem to bring this compatibility to the Emberton, which quite frankly, is nice…it maintains the move toward simplicity that everything about this speaker already boasts.Emberton claims a 20 hour battery life, presumably at 50 volume, although I havent had it long enough to confirm that. Generally speaking, it doesnt seem an unreasonable claim, but I cant be sure either way.One particularly nice feature when it comes to the battery life is the ondevice battery indicator which consists of 10 red LEDs. This is a minor thing for sure, but having that level of specificity around the charge remaining is not something you see often when it comes to ondevice battery levels.Marshall doesnt claim this to be a multidirectional speaker, but one thing it does particularly well is utilize its surrounding surfacesspecifically walls behind itto reflect sound and truly fill a room. I wouldnt be afraid to have this in a larger room as my speaker of choice, provided you dont need a multiroom setup or you just want one speaker you can move with you from room to room regardless of size. And, its durablewith IPX7 water resistance, and the aforementioned guitar amp rugged looking design, you wouldnt have to worry about dinging this up, although you probably still wont want to.The sound is, put simply, fantastic. Speakers this small and I realize, I have been out of the small speaker game for some time now typically do a great job as midrange audio performers vocals, light instrumental sound great, while the bass leaves something lacking and the highs come off crass and cracky. That is not the case for the Emberton, which provides a great balanced sound in the mids and highs while also putting out a decent amount of bass for a speaker of its size. Straight up, the sound on this obliterates the quality of my years old Bose speaker, which started showing its age as soon as I pulled the Emberton from the box.Audio is crystal clear at all levels, even at its loudest…although I admit, I dont think anyone would need to put the volume to the max as I found it difficult to be around at that level. For a small or even a large room, I wouldnt think any more than 75 volume would ever be needed, even if you had people over.If I have one complaintand believe me, this is nitpickyfor as loud as it can go, it cant go equally as quiet, or at least not with the several devices Ive tested it with. This is anything but a deal breaker, but I did find that its lowest volume was still a bit too loud for use in my office at night which is next to my daughters bedroom. I guess thats why headphones exist.Another quick note, this time about the packaging. Ive opened a couple of products recently that have had relatively basic, minimal packaging…nothing fancy by any means, but still easy to get into and presents the product arguably the most important part in a great way when opening. The Emberton is in this category as well, and while I like a good unboxing experience with a crisp, clean box, I will admit that this trend of putting a little less production into packaging, maybe for the sake of being somewhat more environmentally friendly, is growing on me. And, it serves a functional purpose for the buyerI was able to get the box open and the product powered on and in use in a matter of seconds, which is great. This speaker was provided as a review unit in exchange for an honest, unbiased reviewbut regardless, this IS my new favorite small speaker, and one that I would fully recommend buying. The 150 price tag is about as high as it needs to be as far as Im concerned, kind of at the top end of the budget for small portable speakers, but given the fantastic sound quality and a classic design, it checks the right boxes to justify the price.

This is my second Marshall speaker purchase. My first one is the kilburn. So I saw this some and Where do I start with this speaker Wow its so amazing, sound quality is top notch. Honestly its the best sounding speaker Ive heard from one this size. Battery life is outstanding, its says 20 hours and its accurate, it last a really long time. Yeah Im really impressed with it and I get compliments on it everywhere I take and is now my new favorite speaker. Its just so easy to look at. Lol.
matclifyxzv8 –
Great little speaker, very nice design brilliant sound better than expected Has very good Bluetooth connectivity. Only down side is the battery only lasts me about 10hours not 20 maybe this depends on the volume I use it at. Other than that cant fault it.

For a little speaker, this packs a bit of a punch. As a musician, I use Marshall speakers and amplifiers. Now, when I party, I have this guy to provide the tunes. This speaker does not dissapoint. Well done, Marshall, well done.
Nathan –
First of all, the design is very catchy. The multifunction button is a plus plus. Great battery life and very portable. The sound quality is just ok. Not as clear as other Marshalls products.
Ladyj73 –
The Emberton might not be the most elegant looking speaker but its small and powerful. The sound quality is outstanding with clear and balanced sound with substantial amount of bass. And with speakers front and back it gives outstanding multi directional sound. Its perfect for all genres of music as well as listening too podcasts.Setup is easy and takes a matter of minutes. Just turn on blue tooth, sync and pair with Emberton and its done. The battery life is superb. Ive been using it for a few days and although not continuously I have no doubt I will exceed the 20 playtime. Its small and powerful with excellent build quality and water resistant which makes it ideal too use in every room in the house. As its small and fairly light its ideal for taking into the garden, on picnics and to the beach etc. And as its so robustly made, water resistant and has such a long battery life its ideal for days out.The only bugbear I have are the chimes guitar rift when its switched on and off. It only lasts a couple of seconds but its loud, so just be aware when switching it on for the first time.As I had only heard of marshall amplifiers until recently, I was expecting great things from my speaker and the sound quality exceeded my expectations. Easy to set up, great size and exceptional sound quality makes it easy for me to recommend the Emberton.

Pros The sound from such a small portable is fabulous.Cons Sounds better in certain locations. I pop mine on the Welsh dresser. Its wooden backed, wooden side and base. This gives a surreal tone to the 360 dual sided speaker. Just above ear height. Lush
Geraint –
Pros Massive bass for a small speaker. Also I love the design.Cons No way to tweak the sound, so sometimes theres too much bass and not enough high end.
billr920 –
Totally Love this Blue Tooth Speaker. The build quality is nothing less than what you would come to expect from Marshall. Built like a small tank, will not easily break. The ruberized black finish housing with front and rear metal grille mesh is very stylish. The GoldBrass multicontrol button is a nice touch. Battery life is 20 hours with a full charge, could literally take this to 10 two hour gatherings. Sound is incredible and well balanced for not having a EQ option. It does favor mids and highs moreso than base. I think that is why it is still clear at high volumes. I do like that I can control the volume from my phone obviously because my phone is the feed to the speaker.ProsEasy to pairBattery bar indicatorVery portable on the go solutionQuick charge will give you 5 hoursWill stay put due to its weight and rugged designVery good sound qualityAlmost 360 surrond soundCan pair to devices simultaneouslyConsNo app to control EQCannot connect to another speakerStill Marshall is a trusted brand and takes pride in their products. You will not be disappointed.
Bedside –
I love it. Sounds great for no mixing knobs for snobs. Nice balance. Great for in the kitchen or bed side. We played through Marshall amps as kids in the 70s so Im telling you its nice. The Black and Brass looks more rich than the Classic White logo.

I love this speaker. The quality is amazing, the sound is amazing and its small enough to pop in my bag when we go to the beach park caravan. You would never know it was a small portable speaker from its sound quality. It connects to my phone simply and quickly with no problems at all. I would highly recommend this.
Anonymous –
Its tiny But dont let that fool you. On anything below 70 volume it sounds like a decent stereo system. The issue we have run into is Bluetooth versions. This has Bluetooth 5 and will only sound great with a device also with Bluetooth 5. Worked well on my mums iPhone 12 mini. On my 1st generation SE the connection was constantly stutteringdropping out.Returned because I am the main user and wont upgrade a perfectly good phone just for a newer Bluetooth version
MischiefOW –
I have had many Bluetooth speakers in my day. Marshal has hand downs been a go to brand for big bands and its brought the same quality now to the regular consumer. The quality on the speaker is next to none. Sturdy rubberized black siliconelike material that surrounds the USB typeC Connection and the whole speaker itself. Its nice and heavy and feels amazing. I remember touching the big Marshal amps my older cousins used to use, such a blast form the past. The neatest part is the metal grill with the Marshal logo. Absolutely amazing sound and quality. Easy to pair and high quality material means this a a nobrained to recommend to any audiophile.

This is an excellent little potable sound box. The acoustics are great and whether music or listening to radio, podcasts or you tube the convienence is as amazing as the sound. I really like the fact that there are no annoying interuptions from Alexa it doesnt have Alexa capabilities so ten out of ten for that Marshall designers.
TechCarGuy –
The audio sounds excellent, its a very balanced sound compared to my last bose. If you like alternative music and metal, you will enjoy this speaker. It does an excellent job of reproducing the deeper drum notes and deeper bass guitar notes some other speakers have a hard time with.
Christina –
Pros Quality sound, good size, long lasting battery and elegant design.Cons Remove the loud sound when it is turned on and off and when it connects to other Bluetooth device.
Ninav –
This is an amazing speaker. Compared out of all the ones provided in the store this sounded the best for the price point. The sound is clear and fills the room evenly. Very loud for its size
Name –
Great sound from such as small speaker. Great range of sound. Loud and clear even in a large space. Battery life seems pretty good. Nice and heavy for the size seems to build with a lot of quality. Charges pretty fast.
Ironman –
Great sound for the size, better bass than expected. Stays charged for hours. The downside is the hole for the charge port is to small to allow the usbc cord to be inserted all the way in which leads to it falling out.I had to cut a small piece of insulation so I could insert it all the way in.
ArkansasDJ –
The sound quality and build of the Emberton is first class. I purchased this because of the Marshall name and outdoor moisture rating as it will be used around a hot tub. This works perfect for my needs and seems to be much better build quality than other similar models. This is NOT going to blast out your neighbors and will fit to cover your entire palm. Its also heavier than other models and packs good bass. The guitar sound effects at turn onoff, volume updown are a cool effect. Be sure to watch pricing changes as mine was original 150 and then went on sale for 100. Best Buy gave me the difference back as it had been under 30 days.
EC07 –
I had already researched this speaker before buying and I was not disappointed. The sound is crystal clear even at high volumes it doesnt crack at all. Its lightweight, easy to use. Holds charge for days. Would highly recommend.
IvanI –
Compared to competitors this one is either a winner or in the top 3.Excellent sound, great design and build quality, longlasting battery. After playing with it for a while I figured that for the best experience it needs to be placed on a hard surface a few inches away from the wall or another hard surface to bounce the rear speaker sound off.Ideal for a shelf in a small room and can be carried around easily if desired. After buying one bought a second two months later.Cons lack of input options, Bluetooth only.
Elizabeth1985 –
Very easy to set up and charged up very quickly. Its a good size for a portable speaker and the sound quality is good. It looks good too.I really like being able to take it in the garden and play music outside. It is small enough to squeeze into my suitcase to take on holiday.

Just picked up this outstanding bluetooth speaker. I received a JBL bluetooth speaker with similar dimensions and price as a giftlate in 2020, and found the JBL lacking in music presence and frequency range. The Marshall far outperforms the JBL in every wayespecially in sound quality where realistic bass and sound field emanate from this tiny package. I use the bluetooth speaker for my iPhone music while barbell training in my garage 25ft x 35ft x 12ft. I have a limited work bench space to set up a speaker system, and the 3in x 3in x 6in dimension is perfect for setting up just about anywhere on my crowded tool chestbench, and I can stow it away in one of my tool bench drawers when Im not using the speaker. The overall buildquality is superb. You can feel the difference over the JBLthe Marshall weighs 1.5 lba dense package indeed. The speaker fires from both sides of its 6inch long dimension. Ive tried various positions, and the speaker sounds best set up on a bench or counter, standing on its 3inch short dimension with the control knob facing the listener. The sound field emanates from the left and right sides of the 6inch dimension for a larger sound scape. The speaker doesnt sound as optimal sitting on its long dimension with the Marshall logo facing youthe sound is smaller. The rubber coating all around the speaker, and the sturdy speaker grills make it ideal for a portable garage space speaker since it might get tossed around or dropped from its location into a pail of mop water the speaker is water proof. I typically control the volume through my iPhone, but you can control the sound directly from the speaker control knob. The power jack is trickyas it appears to have no specific orientationbut it only connects one wayso dont force it into the female end on the speakerinsert the jack gently to seeand if you encounter resistancerotate the jack 180degrees, and insert. The opposite end is a typical maleend USB jack for connecting to a charging station or another computer. I bought mine on sale for 129 sales tax. The JBL had a similar retail value 100. The Marshall is the nobrainer choice. It must be popular, because I bought the last one my local Best Buy had in stock. Enjoy yours today.

This is definitely a Bluetooth speaker geared towards clarity and audiophiles. I enjoy listening on this far more than on similar products from the likes of UE, JBL, and Sony. While not the cheapest, no other speaker looks as good or sounds as crisp in my opinion. I will say that if youre looking for strictly bass, you may be better served with the other brands. I prefer this for its soundstage and ability to fill a room evenly. The build quality is also better than other speakers out there.
Joks416 –
Love the speaker. So easy to use. And the sound is gorgeous. Low bass is absolutely amazing. 99 for this is a geart value. And I love the color, the size and the weight Love it
Harrison –
Pros Build quality is great. The metal grate over the speakers was a nice touch. I like that the speaker is water resistant. It looks so nice, I dont mind leaving it on display in my living room. I like the speakers control scheme. It was not initially intuitive but after time it became intuitive. Sound quality is great. It gets loud but not distorted. Connects to Bluetooth easily. Battery life is great at 20 hours. Charges via USB C which I also enjoy.Cons I could not get the app to work with the speaker. The app is important if the user wants to adjust the EQ or pair multiple Marshall speakers to work in tandem. If neither of these use cases apply to you, then you likely wont miss it. I wish the speaker had a strap or carabiner loop. Its not a small speaker by any means, but Id probably still utilize something like that if I could.

The easiest way to attract a crowd in our house these days is to open a newly delivered box. This one was no exception, my husband was immediately impressed with the name, he associates it with quality amps and my teenage daughters loved the retro look and the reassuring weight. It feels much more expensive than it is. They are both UEBoom devotees and my husband is a Sonos fan so they consider themselves an expert panel. Connection was pleasingly idiot proof even for a technophobe like me, turn it on press the button til it flashes and select from your phonetablet Bluetooth menu I suspect even my mother could cope. We put it through its paces with a variety of music and spoken word, inside and out Including a very long bath with my youngest and we all commented on its rich deep sound. Really impressive at this price point and much much less temperamental than the expensive Sonos. Since then its been on picnics and dog walks and not disappointed once. The 20 hours of play is useful as lord forbid anyone should plug it it with the USB supplied Overall Im very impressed, just one problem , how do I get it back from my children and husband
RobB –
After my second Bose Soundlink Mini failed, I replaced it with this Marshall Emberton. Bass is not as resonant, but it plays louder, plays longer and is so far more durable. Sound imaging is the same from the front AND back, so theres no need to point it. Also highly water resistant can be used near the shower. Looks cool. Its quick to disconnect from your device after nonuse.
Techie –
Outstanding sound from a speaker with a small footprint. Has easy Bluetooth setup and excellent connection, also superb battery life. Using mostly at low levels in my office, so I havent pushed it for maximum volume, but it seems to have enough headroom to impress. Bottom line, for a small but quality Bluetooth speaker you wont be disappointed.
GSMITH –
This is definitely one of the best portable speakers Ive bought. It lives up to expectations because of how clear and crisp the sound is when listening to music. Would definitely recommend this product to other people.
leveling up my speakers –
You should buy this. The sound quality is amazing, as youd expect from any Marshall product. If that isnt enough, it has 20 hours of battery life, pairs with multiple devices easily, plays sound out of both sides of the speaker, and if you want to use tactile controls the toggle at the top is easy to use. It also plays a cute guitar riff instead of your standard beep for the onoff and connection sounds.
PachooH –
The sound out of this small it is much smaller than it looks in the pictures, which is amazing IMO speaker is fantastic. The highs sound crisp, has good mids, and nice, full bass is there. Listening to music on this speaker is outstanding. I wouldnt listen to music on most other small bluetooth speakers I have listened to, since they typically have little low end and muddled hights, but this Marshall speaker is an entirely different beast. I listen to Spotify on it all day long and couldnt be happier.

I was bought this for my birthday, its stylish simple to use most importantly loud. I love the guitar amp start up shut down sound. I have other products by other brands and while Im no audiophile this is excellent

Such a stunning piece, I love Marshall. The brand feels very rock n roll to me and feels like I have a bit of music history sitting proud on my shelf. The sound is incredible, I wouldnt expect anything less. Im going to cherish this piece, its beautifully crafted from the choice of cream leather to the tactile brass control. The battery life is so good, which I love as Im not a fan of wires.

I absolutely love this speaker so much. The sound quality is so amazing for how small the speaker is. I love being able to just throw this in my bag and bring it wherever. Little speaker with big sound Although its small, it sounds great and gets very loud with surprisingly good bass. Not to mention, it looks really cool with a classic Marshall design.
Gloxinian –
It really does have great sound for such a little speaker I had a JBL charge 3 before and I think this sounds better, and also isnt fragile like the JBL which ended up unusable after a couple of years. This speaker feels very sturdy and I expect it will last much longer.

This Marshall wireless speaker is excellent and worth the money. It has exceptional build quality which you would expect from the brand Marshall, and for something so little it packs a punch. The highs and lows of this speakers sound quality is excellent. Thoroughly recommend this product.
Tmax –
Great little speaker that packs a punch. Marshall makes great products with their signature sound. Great audio and fills a small to medium size room. Great for outdoor bonfires and gatherings.

RedOmen –
The sound quality within such a small form factor is quite an accomplishment Ive had the opportunity to test this outdoors as well as indoors, and it produces a very full, vibrant sound right out the box in both conditions. Marshall has managed to capture a mostly ideal balance with very clear bass even on the highest and lowest volume settings, without getting muddy and extremely vivid treble. The volume bluetooth functions are located on the device without the use of an app, and are very intuitive to use, along with the navigation controls.I used it for a few days and only lost a bar or two, so it seems to be living up to its promise of extended battery life. It is water resistant, so the rain didnt slow it down at all, and it is very light weight and compact, so ideal for travel andor social gatherings. The sound seems to project from all angles, so you can hear it clearly when at a distance, regardless of what side or angle you are positioned from the speaker. The one thing that may pose a problem for some is that this speaker appears to have its own internal EQ balancing system. I tried to use a virtual EQ on it, and it was almost completely unresponsive, even when turning bass, treble or midranges up to full blast. If you do not typically use an EQ to adjust your music, or are not particular about emphasizing certain aspects of the music you listen to, then this speaker is for you, as it produces the best, clearest, most consistent sound that Ive heard in a speaker this size. However, if you like to emphasize bass, treble, or any other aspect of the music you listen to, this is probably not the best speaker for you. I believe most folks will find this speakers natural sound to be great asis, since it has enough bass to satisfy a bass lover. I would recommend it for more casual gatherings or more ambienceoriented background music listening. I am giving it 4 stars since it would be perfect if it was more responsive to personalized EQ settings. Would work well in dorm room settings since bass cannot be overemphasized, but is still present.

Great job MarshallSound Highs and Bass are distinct. Voice comes out clear.Connection Easy. Simple Bluetooth connection.Battery 20 hoursI aAppearance. Looks like a guitar amp. Nice colors and feel of rubber around for slip resistance and drop protection.Great speaker

For the past year Ive been set on getting a Sonos. Marshall wasnt even on my radar but after deciding to buy a Marshall on a whim, I have zero regrets One of the best speakers to date. The perfect investment for a audiophile such as myself. The emberton in particular. Sonos, while good, its more of a convenience and style kind of investment. If you really want to hear the essence of the music, Marshall is the way to go.

I play the guitar so I was drawn to the Marshall name. I wanted a small, easily portable unit with good sound. The sound quality and volume of this is amazing. Dont let the small package fool you
Jo –
Pros Sounds fantastic.. Im a complete music head and this speaker certainly does not disappoint..the sound is not at all muddy, with a good amount of bass….. it sounds better than my Bose speaker .. well worth money

Very good sound and extremely portable. Very well designed. Hard to charge with other brand of usbc but charged perfectly fine with the cable that came with it. because of the water proof feature of this speaker, the charging cable needs to be plugged in deeper so I understand

My initial attraction to this awesome Bluetooth speaker is the fact that it departs from the typical soda can looking Bluetooth speakers that are out there and provides a cool, vintagevibe looking speaker that supports Marshalls legacy as an excellent speaker and amplifier company as well as providing incredible audio out of a speaker at this price point. As is typical of Marshall consumer audioproducts like their Bluetooth headphones, this speaker includes all the fun quirks of the brand. All of the speaker interaction sounds that go with powering the speaker onoff etc. are little guitar riffs and other electric guitar sounds. That is fun and sets this speaker apart from other runofthemill speakers. The multicontrol knob is fluid for skipping songs, increasing the volume, and turning the device on and off with a separate button solely committed to Bluetooth connectivity this utilizes Bluetooth 5.0. The rubberized, textured feel of this speaker feels high qualityabsolutely a cut above the competition. This speaker feels like it could take a tumble from a height no problem and live to play another daynot that I was willing to toss this on the ground to test that assumptionA neutral observation to note with this speaker. It is Bluetooth connection only. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, so be aware of that. Other speakers in the Marshall lineup certainly have 3.5mm headphone jacks. My opinion on this is that, for one, the higher waterproof rating IPX7 is achieved with the exclusion of this jack as it is, by design, a higherlikely point of ingress for moisture than the strict USBC this speaker utilizes for charging. Nonetheless, if you are looking to use this speaker in conjunction with a 3.5mm audio input device like a vintage iPod how crazy to have to say that, an Echo Dot, etc.The sound. The sound the sound. Oh how I love the sound of this speaker. I have review a lot of Bluetooth speakers. So when I turned this on and put on my audio testing playlist, trust me when I say I was astonished by the sound The two 2 10 watt speakers produce incredible highs, great mids, and respectable bass notes out of a speaker of this size and build. Furthermore, their claim to a 360 degree sound I feel is accurate. I tested this speaker in different spaces throughout my house, and I found that the sound had an even reverberation and tonality through the space it was placed in. The speaker gets LOUD too. Definitely could be a respectable audio source for a houseboat party float, backyard bash, etc.One last cool little feature I wanted to mention is the charge level indicator located on top of the device. This is my first speaker to have a clear and constant visual indicator of how much battery charge is remaining which is really neat I cannot speak to the claim of a 20 hour runtime, only that that is based on the power demand of the device and that Marshall almost certainly tested that runtime at a fixed volume, probably in the midrange. Thus, higher will drain the speaker faster, lower slower, etc.Overall, I think the price for the value of the product you are getting with this little Emberton speaker is awesome. I highly recommend it if you are someone who is as concerned with the looks of an audio device as you are its features and sound

Quality is perfect. Heavy beefy durable and sexy. The packaging of how Best Buy shipped it GARBAGE They put this along with another item I purchased in a BAG…not a box. A BAG. Box of the item was scuffed and dented in. They have the crappiest way of sending high priced items and this is not the first time at all. Ive had 500 dollar items in a bag or in original box torn up and opened.
Mahbub –
Pros The sound quality is the best you can get. Working has never been so much more better. Battery lasts for a week Cons Wish it came with a storage of some sort.
robsh8580 –
I read many reviews and actually heard this speaker before purchasing. The majority of reviews were positive and the overall sound quality is well balanced for such a small speaker. I was hoping for a bit more bass, but for my computer room sound Im satisfied with it. If youre looking for a speaker with deeper base sound I would recommend reviewing andor listening to other speakers.

Very good product, but not as good sounding as Bose. User friendly design. No problem connecting to Bluetooth. Does everything it should. Tough call, however for the price I like my little Bose speaker a little more for its tone. Very subjective. Try them both if you can.

Everything I looked for in a speaker, wanted something I could take around the world with me to listen to some good music and enjoy vibes. Definitely recommend this one. Amazing sound quality and loud Nice battery life too.

Love it all the reviewers are spot on. Picked it up as BF special love it Had a Bose but this is amazing sound for the size. I bring it with us whenever we go out. Read the technical reviews and believe them.

As a guitar player, I was drawn to this speaker and wow I was not disappointed The sound is so crisp and clear, the bass is amazing… for such a small speaker this thing can really blast Its easy to use and I am impressed that its double sided as in the sound comes out from the front and the back Im recommending this speaker to everyone Ive tried cheaper speakers first that I just ended up returning because they werent loud enough and were super glitchy. But this one I am very happy with.

Best portable Bluetooth speaker I have owned. Great sound and nice bass. Very portable to take around. I have the white Marshall logo and grill version. Then I saw this in black and brass and had to get it. Highly recommend. Only thing is you cant sync and play two speakers at the same time.
CynicalWoman –
I think I got this bluetooth speaker because its a Marshall and I have that brand so tied to the shows I went to in my youth that just seeing the formatted name brings me instantly back to a really fun time in my life. I have a couple other small bluetooth speakers that have always worked fine for me, but the lure of the Mashall name worked and I picked it up. I set it up with my phone, a process as easy as it should be, and turned it on. IT HAS GREAT SOUND A really full sound that fills up my office, my office work room, and my back yard. It sounds far better than I expected. The sound stays coherent to a good level, before starting to hollow out and break up. I am really happy with it.Battery life seems pretty good Ive had it running for hours, now, and it still shows there to be a half charge, and it uses a standard recharging cable, which is essential, so far as Im concerned. Its heaver than I than its size suggests and feels pretty solid, like it wont just break if I drop it. and the single rocker button functionality is intuitive. My only issue with it so far has been that I like to thrown things into my daily bag Im rough on stuff, and Ive heard the speaker turning itself on and off as the other things I carry press down on the button. Now, thats just something that Ill need to adjust to dont put anything on the button and not enough of an issue for me to take away a star. Im still really happy with this speaker.Id recommend it to anyone wanting a great portable speaker.

Got this for daughter as her Christmas wish. She was so happy. Im surprised the sounds is really great and loud even shes using it from bedroom upstairs we can hear it downstairs. I would recommend this product to my friends. Its a very useful portable little speaker that you can take it with you anywhere.
GarageGym –
Great sound for such a compact device. I use it for my garage gym and it works great in a wide open space. I place it on the finished concrete floor and the bass sounds deep like its coming from a larger speaker. The overall presentation of the device is classic and seems durable.

This speaker has a rich soundstage. Most speakers just feature the voice. The Emberton picks up the instruments as well and really makes the whole song come alive. I bought 3 different speakers. The Beosound A1 and the Bose Soundlink. I really wanted to like the A1 and it was very good with the equalizer through the app with additional base. I am not a heavy bass guy. But every time I played them together the Emberton just jumped out. Ive always been a UE person but I love the Emberton.

We were totally blown away by the sound quality of the emberton speaker, great design and soo easy to set up.The bass is amazing. We have had a lovely garden party and shared the sounds with the neighbours who were very impressed with the quality of sound even outside.Small and easily portable holds it charge for a round 20 hours. Brilliant must buy for Marshall fand

Little expensive but it certainly feels high quality in every way. Havent tested its water resistance, but sounds great good battery life and looks super cool compared to all the other basic looking speakers. Clarity is great, bass is its weak point but not enough to worry about it.

I really love the design of the speaker, everything from the packaging to the speaker itself oozes qualityThe volume controls are easy to use and can go loud enough to use at a bbq or something.I would recommend to anyone looking for a good sound quality and a sturdy portable speaker to look no furtherDefinitely a 5 product

This portable Bluetooth is fantastic. Sound is excellent and can be heard from the rear speaker as well as the front. This product is compact and neat but is very powerful. Ive used it in the garden at a BBQ pairing it with my android phone and in my lounge and was really pleased with the sound quality. It is simple to use and not unattractive with its matt black finish and is exceedingly discreet too. I cant comment on the battery life as Ive only had it a few days but overall I think its a great little item and exceptional value for money

Better audio sound quality in terms of low, midrange high range frequencies as compared with my Bose Mini Soundlink blue tooth speaker. No distortion at maximum volume. Sound for vocal instrumental music is very clear and well balanced. I like the control knob which is very fun and super easy to operate.

Very good sound quality it shines in vocals and poprock genre in my opinion, wellbalanced, clear and no noticeable distortion unless the volume is high very high. Good built quality, if feels sturdy and solid. A classic timeless design which stands out from other similar speakers. Battery lasts for a long time so you dont have to worry about it.So far so good, no real complaints. Cannot make comments on the durability as I havent dropped yet and it wasnt rained heavily on or submerged in water until now. After the last few months of usage, very happy with it and I recommend it.

This speaker definitely exceeded my expectations. Ive owned it for almost a month now. The sound quality is very good at any volume. It can fill any room. The build quality is great. It looks fantastic as well.

Gifted myself this speaker for my birthday and Im so happy with it. It sounds decent for the size I never turn the volume above 50, and its plenty loud and clear for me at that volume using the speaker with an iPhone 12 Pro.The two 2drivers are positioned opposite each other to the right of the Marshall logo, while the passive radiators are to the left. They produce a nice punchy sound youd have to listen to it yourself but I can say its perfect for me in my bedroom. Even outside, it sounds awesome.Because one driver and one passive radiator are facing the back, it can get a bit overwhelming if the speaker is placed against a wall so I try to keep it on a tabledesk with enough space to spread out the sound again, I never push the volume above 50, and I think beyond that itll start to adjust the EQ to reduce bass output which is okay for a speaker this small. It feels like its built like a tank. The rubber on the outside has a nice texture and the buttons are nice and clicky. The grills on the front and back feel very sturdy. I havent tried bringing the speaker in the shower or out in the rain, but the IPX7 means it can take a good dunk in water just make sure you fish it out right awayThe controls are very intuitive Marshall have a winner with the multidirection button press to pause long press to turn offon, and press in any direction to control and volume and to go to previousnext track I love speakers with track seeking controls because sometimes my phone is not at arms length. The battery indicator is also a winning feature it features 10 small bars, which Im assuming are 10 per bar, a total of 100. The lights never turn off while the speaker is in use, but they dim to conserve energy until you press the multidirection or Bluetooth buttons. Excellent user interface. The absence of a microphone is a not a big deal because I never use my Bluetooth speakers for phone calls, but sometimes I like using Siri and it wouldve been nice to have a microphone.Of course, USBC for charging is perfect. I wish the speaker came with a charging adapter in the box but a regular 5W iPhone adapter works just fine, as well as plugging in to a computerlaptop of course.Hopefully I havent missed anything worth mentioning regarding the Marshall Emberton. Its a great small speaker that looks and sounds fantastic cant beat the Marshall aesthetic.

What a great addition to our home. This speaker has been great. A super compact device that provides clear sounds and is simple to use. Only knock is that it doesnt always automatically connect to the paired device or is delayed. Not a big issue.

I was after a new bluetooth speaker after my Bose packed up unexpectedly. I went for the Marshall on the strength of the reviews and wasnt disappointed. Its a decently made sturdy product and was very easy to pair up with my iPhone. Ive also go an audiotechnica bluetooth turntable which was always an effort to pair with the Bose mini soundlink, however the Marshall pairs up without any fuss. I think the sounds an improvement as well.I know some people have commented on the guitar noise when you turn it on and off, I have to say it makes me smile.A great product which I highly recommend.

Just purchase this portable small speaker. Love the build quality and design. Sound better then my old Bose and JBL charge 1st gen. Sound more fuller and clear. And so far I compared to Marshall stockwell 2 I like sound better on Marshall Emberton. Easy to use and connect. I love joystick, very easy to use. Probably this will be a keeper.

The Marshall Emberton Bluetooth speaker definitely packs BIG sound in a small form factor. The speaker is a little bigger than a soda can but dont let the size fool you. This speaker packs awesome sound Not only is it aesthetically pleasing with the excellent design and premium materials, the sound is excellent. The bass is pretty much perfect for such a small unit and the highs and mids are crisp and clear even at high volume. I dont hear much distortion when played at high volume. This is by far the best sounding speaker of its size I have heard so far.I really like the design with the center button mimicking a gaming controller joystick almost. Very neat design. I love that it also has the battery indicator right on top so all you have to do is glance over to see how much juice you have left. The pairing button is also conveniently located to the left of the main joystick control. This makes the device very simple to control. It paired right up to my phone following the instructions provided. I have had no pairing or Bluetooth audio issues whatsoever. The reason for the docking of 1 star is solely based on the charging port. The cable that came with the unit fits quite loosely in the port. I was pretty surprised given its a new USBC design. I thought it may have just been the cable so I tried a few other usbc cables with the same result. I feel over time this could really become an issue. If you cant charge the device, you cant use it, so a snug fitting charging port, I feel is essential. Only time will tell if the port gets weaker and even looser. All in all this is an excellent unit and Im very pleased with the quality of the sound and the size of the unit. It is my new go to speaker of its size. Very well dont Marshall

This very much reminds me of the Marshall Amps and Im sure thats the point. Each action gives a tone or guitar sound, such as powering on or off, pairing mode, connecting to a device, etc. Sound quality is good for the smallish speaker. Sounds are very crisp and clean. This is a really nice, portable Bluetooth speaker.
hwfantasy –
Works very well in accordance to expectations but is disappointing it that, for whatever reason, it was not designed to work as a Bluetooth hands free with smart phones. I dont see why that was left out. That would have made it PERFECT otherwise. In fairness other brands of speakers also do not feature that either from what I have seen so there must be an explanation I am not aware of. As a music speaker it does a fine job

What a lovely piece of kit. Looks the part and sounds even better. Simple to use and highly portable. Has a satisfying heft and quality of sound benefits from this.Would certainly recommend this.

I have other Bluetooth speakers like the flip 5 and the Marshell Emberton to me has the best sound . Full range of sound. The Emberton has 2 speakers as a lot of other units just have one. Bluetooth 5.0 is a lot more stable. Just works.

A fantastic sounding speaker that boasts clear and rich sounds. It was really easy to connect to to charge up. I love the red features the Copper button against the black. Its portable but weighs a decent amount to keep it in place. I was impressed with how a varied range of music all sounded great coming out of this speaker. The quality of the manufacturing shows in its stunning sleek black design. Its ideal for use in out of the Home with over 20 hours of battery life too.

I brought this to replace my JBL portable which was really good, having had such a lovely speaker I can say I do not regret replacing it with this Marshall. Its a lovely size and looks amazing Easy to connect to my Bluetooth on my TV, IPhone 12, IPad Pro 12 The range is great not problems around the house if my streaming device is in another room or downstairs. Charging is fast and the battery just keeps going and going. For a small speaker it really packs some punches and compared to our Marshall Stanmore II isnt far behind. What I love is the Marshall tone as with all Marshalls. value for money Absolutely so much so Ive brought another in black however the cream is my favourite.

As a guitar player I am drawn to Marshall products naturally. Needless to say, when they started making headphones and bluetooth speakers I was very interested. Now that I own several Marshall products ranging from 100 Watt Valve Guitar Heads, to small but mighty bluetooth speakers, I can say without a doubt that this awesome company from the UK does just about everything right. At the same time, I will not claim that all of their products throughout history are perfect, but whos really are From Jimi Hendrix to Slash and everywhere inbetween, Marshall has a reputation and place in history with music fans of all ages and it shows. When you look at a Marshall product it screams iconic and artistic design and this little Emberton speaker is no exception. The first time I unboxed this and held it in my hands I was wowed by the feel and design. It is chunky, but in a good way just like the guitar tones you can get out of their awesome amplifiers. By chunky, what I really mean is that it feels SOLID. The build quality is fantastic. It isnt slippery. The metal grill and Marshall logo on the front are 100 awesome Marshall vintage style. The size is also perfect IMHO. Small enough to toss in a backpack, suitcase, or purse well maybe not a clutch easily. The gold multidirectional button on top controls every feature of the speaker except the bluetooth pairing button which blends in with the housing of the speaker nicely so the simple aesthetic can remain. The big gold center button turns onoff power, controls the volume, and skips forward and backward by pushing leftrightupdown. Easy easy. If I had one complaint in the design category, it would be that the leftrightupdownbluetooth markings are also black and very small, making them difficult to read. That said, once you know what they do and where they are, you wont be looking at them anyway due to the simple design. The sound quality is where the small but mighty comes into play. Having music come from both the front and back creates an immersive music listening experience. The EQ is also just right for just about any type of music. Not too bass heavy, just right. The clarity is there, as all instruments can be heard clearly and I can appreciate that. While it may not be loud enough to fill a rock arena, it is definitely loud enough for most applications that you would use this type of speaker for. That said, I find that if you crank it to 11 Spinal Tap pun intended you will get some distortion. If you want to crank it and still have it sound great, I recommend cranking it to 9 out of 11. To do this, hold the volume up until you hear the four quick guitar harmonics, then tap the volume down twice. You should then have a loud, but distortion free listening experience.Being IPX7 rated for moisture is a big bonus for this speaker. While I wont test mine under water, I will definitely not think twice about taking it out in rainy weather.Another great feature is that Marshall gave us a USBC connectioncable. The fact that it is C type and not the older micro USB is an excellent design choice by the Marshall team in current tech times. I have found that the battery life is also excellent. While it is rated at 20 hours, I have yet to test that theory, because honestly, I havent had to. I can say that the battery has lasted me all day without charging which is really all I can ask for.All in all, if you are looking for an extremely stylish and compact water resistant speaker, I would highly recommend the Emberton speaker. Marshall makes bluetooth speakers in all sizes, to which I own a few. I am definitely happy with all of themPROSIconic Marshall styling is on pointExcellent build qualitySound is thick and rich at the right volume levelUSBC charging and cable includedGreat battery lifeIPX7 water resistanceSimple button layoutCONSReally small text that blends in with the black colorwayIf you crank it to 11, you get the wrong kind of distortion

This is a great little speaker for moving around the house or taking out. The quality of sound is excellent and the battery lasts ages Another great product from Marshall and a great price and guarantee from John Lewis.

Still wondering this small speaker producing rich sound. I tried Stantmore ii and uxbridge . Not emberton. All the marshall lines are great in sound quality as well as design. I love Marshall.

This is an absolutely great portable speaker. The size and the weight are just perfect for carrying around with the length being shorter than your hand and light enough that my 3 year old can carry it around and dance with it.There are speakers both in the front and the back, and that multi directional sound can get extremely loud if you want it to. This little guy is deceptive and packs a punch. The fact that this is IPX7 water proof, with USB C charging is just the cherry on top no flimsy flap on the charging port to keep it waterproof either. USB C everything I say, so I dont have to carry multiple charges for my devices. Now I can charge my phone, my laptop and my portable speaker with the same charge… blissThere arent any fancy features, and they dont advertise it as such. But there is beauty in simplicity. I love the fact that there is an always on battery percent bar lighting, that tells you exactly how much batterys left. That is so much better than doing some funky button press magic and waiting for some LED to do a pattern dance to recall what battery level that means. Apart from this battery LED bar, there is a simple knob in the middle that handles all controls play, pause, forward, rewind, volume. And there is a dedicated Bluetooth pairing button. What else do you needThe first time you turn on the device it automatically goes into Bluetooth pairing mode nice and shows that it has 50 battery left. The pairing was super simple as expected and off you go.I will definitely be taking this little buddy for hikes and my kid will no doubt want to hoard it for themselves.

Very impressive sound, both in terms of quality and volume without distortion. Good bass and topend, with extra emphasis on the midrange but not oppressively so. Battery life is excellent and USBC charging is pretty quick. Brass control knob is intuitive and satisfyingly tactile. Note that although its small, its not quite slipitinyourpocket small about the size of a 500ml water bottle and it has quite a bit of heft to it. Havent yet had occasion to test the water resistance claim, but its so well put together that I dont have any reason to doubt it. Absolute bargain in the sale, and would have been pretty good value even at normal price.

Great little speaker. We bought this specifically for being out on our boat. Great 360 degree sound and puts out a lot of clear volume for such a small package. The case material keeps it from getting hot in the sun too which is an added bonus. Just pricy…
DocWass –
Great sound. As with my other Marshall speakers, the sound quality seems to get better as the volume goes up like the speaker was designed for this others fade or get distorted but not the Marshall. There are some other small BT speakers that to me sound a little better at low volumes I dont recall brands but one is my soninlaws but the Marshall sounds better than all at higher volumes. Build quality is solid and detail is excellent. I bought on sale for 50 off. The 150 retail price hurts the value rating for me.

First impression out of the box is the cool classic look of the Marshall Emberton..Everything from the materials used and the weight of the speaker exudes quality. Mine came with about a 50 charge, so the first thing I did was fully charge it which took about 1 hour. The charging lights are located at the top of the speaker. It has 10 led bars, each representing 10 charge and they are very easy to see.Pairing the speaker to my phone took just seconds with the push of the Bluetooth button located at the top left. Bluetooth is version 5.0 which results in quick and stable connectionsThe balance of operations are controlled by a single gold button in the top center. This one button will power the device on and off, pause music, skip to next song or go back to previous song, and of course control volume up and down. The biggest advantage of this is that you dont have to be tied to your phone to control the music and you dont have to have one person in charge. Anyone can go to the speaker and change any of the controls.Once turned on the speaker produces amazing quality sound and volume, without distortion, especially considering that the speaker is about the length and width of your cellphone and less than 3 inches deep. And the sound appears to spread equally in all directions thanks to what Marshall calls True Stereophonic Sound.Marshall claims 20 of playtime on a single charge and after using the speaker heavily for 2 days I have no reason to doubt this claim. There is also a 20 minute quick charge which will give you 5 hours of playtime. The speaker is rated IPX7 water resistance which allows for submersion up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. This makes for the perfect pool party speaker..I love this speaker and would highly recommend it but i do have a couple of minor gripes.I do wish that Marshall had an app to allow for additional controls such as equalization. It would also be nice if this speaker was able to connect to smart device such a Google Home. And finally, when you power the speaker on or off it makes loud musical sound which gets a little annoying after a while. In summary, I really cant imagine anyone not being thrilled with this purchase. I will be buying more for gifts.

I never had a bluetooth speaker before, i cant really compare this one to any other one.Im totally in love with the speaker. The battery life is excellent, i Have been using it everyday for more then 10 days and never charged it yet.The look of the speaker is unique, retro style.Small and compact but slightly heavy.Great for the price.I would love to get the bigger one from marshall Cant get enough
