Ive now been using the Braun Shaver for more than twelve years and the added benefit of the self cleaner cartridge has kept this product pristine and in excellent condition. Having a heavy stubble I wouldnt buy any other product the benefit of the cartridge is worth very cent to maintaining the life of the shaver, I wonder how many more years will I get out of it

Ive used a couple of these over the past six months now and find that they keep my shaver fresh and clean. Theyre certainly not a gimmick. Just remember to keep the tab from the cleaning solution so that if you go away and take only the shaver, the tab can be replaced to prevent evaporation of the fluid in the cleaning tank.

Getting multipack made financial sense.The design of the refill cartridges are poor as very difficult to put the cap on the alcohol cleaning fluid. If left open, it will evaporate over time, this is not made clear anywhere in the documentation.

These cartridges are a great way to clean your Braun shaver. Each one lasts many months, and slips easily into the base of the recharger. When activated, it cleans while recharging, taking about 1 hour for the complete cycle, but one doesnt need to clean as the charger can be used just to recharge. it isa great accessory to have.

I think approx 60 a year to use this shaving system is a bit expensive not including the blade replacement after 18 months. Dont get me wrong I like the 9s razor, despite 200 price tag but to be then faced with these cartridges that evaporate if not sealed after each use. These prices are conservative if you do not purchase them from some discount store like this. I would review the whole system as the best closest electric razor on the market but far too overpriced. No problem with the quality of the cartridges. Will buy again

Absolutely integral for the Braun shavers. Used in the shaving dock this will extend the life of your shaver and mean you have to buy less replacement heads. I shave every day so every fortnight I run my series 7 through a cleaning cycle in the dock with this stuff, clears out the clippings, skin and dirt caught up in the shaver and sanitises the head. When its dry spray some lubricating oil through it and its like new.

The cartridge is only 80 efficient. Theres always quite a bit of fluid remaining when the machine light becomes red and the cartridge is unusable.If you want to extract the last penny out of your cartridges, keep a spare used empty cartridge, and drain the fluid out of the filter part of every used cartridge into the spare one, until it is full, add 23 drops of water, and you have a refilled cartridge for free.

I have used the bottled fluid and after about three runs, like 5months, of washing the cartridge out and refilling, the cartridge gets awful mucky. So thought Id buy the bargain pack of 51, whereupon I can still buy the bottled fluid and reuse the cartridges for maybe less months than I did at first. I mean, lets face it, the cartridges are expensive for what they are and they are a very solid plastic, that I hope is recyclable… KevT

Good supplier and product works fine. Though its time Braun supplied liquid in simple refill bottle rather than new cartridges which cause plastic waste.

I am onto my 3rd Braun shaver cleaner combo Series 7. I thought initially the clean and renew module was a gimmick but after time of heavy use and heavy growth shaving. 1 the Braun shavers are great and close. But also the value of having the cleaning module has become obvious. When I havent had time to buy cartridges I have noticed that the shaver does not shave properly, dusting and rinsing under water does not do it justice. The cartridge provides an alchohol wash. It is effective and there is a sense that the shaver is ready for another onslaught. Great value….for 2.

These cartridges are normally quite expensive, unless you can get them on special or in bulk packs like this one. The cartridges are well sealed and perform perfectly in the cleaner, giving your shaver a really nice clean and smells nice fresh lemon scented. The alcohol solution dissolves any buildup of oils, dead skin and hair particles leaving your razor head nice clean hygienic.TIPS Only load your cartridge when actually cleaning your shaver dont leave it in the cleaning unit, or it will evaporate slowly. If you load only on use, the cartridges will last a long time especially if you only do a full clean once a week which is fine just tap rinse on other days. When you first use it, keep the cartridge lid and replace it firmly every time you remove the cartridge.

If you want to use the charge and cleaning station its something you have to buy. It does seem expensive for what you get. An option where you could reuse the plastic cartridge would be great.It does last a reasonable time but certainly adds to the cost of using the razor. Glad my car doesnt run on it

I highly recommend the clean and renew system in performing a thorough clean of your electric shaver, keeping it in top condition.Combine that with regular use of shaver guard and replacement of foil and cutter every 18 months, you get years of reliable use.I highly recommend Braun from personal experience and the clean and renew system.Currently using a serious 7 shaver.

The cartridge refills are not cheap but they are worth every cent. I lost my original ones during a move and so didnt get around to ordering some more. I only use my shaver every once in a while so it didnt seem to matter that the cleaning base was telling me that its time to change the cartridges. When I did, it was amazing how much difference it made to the way the shaver ran. The cartridge fluid doesnt just clean, it sterilises and lubricates. Very good.
