Synced with my wifi seamlessly and sends data to the fitbit app without issue. I like that it stores multiple users and has different icons for each. My friend comes over and weighs himself and it syncs to his fitbit account.I love the scale, I just wish it had its own dashboard on the app, and maybe gave some more stats. Other than that, I think its great.
CuriousInMarietta –
Does anyone know if they fixed the glitch where after the warrenty is up it gives you an ERR and the scale wont sync . This is the problem alot of people had with the original and Custumer service had no upgrades or fixes to correct the issue . I literal had to throw it out as it didnt work after. I Absolutely loved the scale but the customer service after the 1 year warranty was up was horrible.

The only review here has nothing to do with the product so I thought I would add something. I dont feel it is 100 accurate but I DO think this scale is consistent. There IS a difference and the ablity for it to update my profile has put real visiblity to the ups and downs of my weight loss. I have lost 20 LBs and only got into this fitbit thing cause my wife wanted one for xmas. Shes a total hotty now This system works because of the actual Data. Be sure to log your food. You cant half as it. This scale is an important part of watching the weight fall, and watching it come back on….thats how it happens. Ups and downs and this scale puts it on a the tile page of your fitbit account which you have to face every time you look at it.Hope that helps someone whos on the fence.
paracelsus –
Loved this scale, but it doesnt last very long. It may be good for a couple years, then it develops issues due to poor manufacturing and low quality parts and you are out a lot of money. Your weights vary a lot even if you do several in a row. That shouldnt happen. Also, dont count on Fitbit to stand by their product. They will expect you to buy a new one. I am moving on to another brand. You can check online to find the issues this product has. People love it first off, but after awhile, they have tons of issues. So think hard before buying this, or make sure to get the longest extended warranty possible.
mustangs4all –
I had to hook up an old router just to get it to work. You cannot use special characters in your password which is a security risk. Once I finally got it to work it was 4.5 pounds off. I used an old scale and 15 pound weight to verify. My old cheap scale was more accurate

I love that this is Bluetooth and you can track your BMI and weight. The only thing I dont like is that the fat calculation is off. I go to a place that has a high tech machine and its about 510 points off the fat.
Sonny –
The scales will record your weight and fat content directly to your Fitbit band and dashboard so you dont have to do things manually. It was a little bit daunting to set it up for two people as the instructions are not completely clear. You need to add the second person to the original ones setup otherwise if you try to set it up for two separate people it will erase the first setup.
angorganized –
The set up on this was much harder than I anticipated it would be. I have a Fitbit Alta HR which I thought was easy to set up so I thought the scale would be also since they are both Fitbit products but that was not the case. Im pretty sure it took me about 2 hrs to get it all figured out. My other scale showed weight and BMI but I wanted one that would show body fat percentage. I also like that the scale can be used for multiple people. My son has a FitBit so I wanted him to be able to keep track of his stats as well.
Pepperpam –
Compact stylish scale. The setup instruction were hard to follow. It was difficult to pair with my Fitbit Iconic. Had to go online and really read the instruction manual and it took several attempts to get it paired and up and running. Operating instructions included were vague also.Once it was set up it works great.

Love this and think its so great that 5 people can have profiles and be automatically recognized So cool. Weight is always super accurate. Have tested against doctor office readings and always spot on. Batteries last forever also. Almost a year on mine already Only complaint is the BMI and body fat . This jumps all around about 3 percentage points for me on any given day, a bit worse for the other people that have profiles saved on my Aria. This is not a by deal though, for me. Love the auto sync with my Fitbit app. Its really seamless. Much more than my actual Fitbit tracker is.
sofia.a –
Paired with the app and the watch I have a fitbit alta this is a great tool. I always had a hard time being hard on myself and sometimes Ive been pleasantly surprised to see that the tendency of my weight is going down even if I have days I am heavier. It helps me from spiraling when I have one bad day.
Jeff –
Everything was working properly for 1 day then the whole scale crashed with the BF. The dreaded BF error popped up. After googling it, it is a known error with this scale going back a few years. It didnt pop up when I researched about this scale until I put the error in there. but it makes this scale completely useless. 120 for wifi and weight only I dont think so. It is getting returned and I will enter my stats manually. I wish I saw my review before I purchased.
melissa.t –
The Fitbit WiFi Smart Scale has some features I really like. It sends your weight to the fitbit you are wearing and the fitbit app on your phone, so you can keep track of your weight. I use it everyday and find it to be accurate. The only thing I would improve is the ability of it to identify who is standing on the scale. Sometimes it thinks I am a guest user.
Sonny –
Had the scale for 4 months and it stopped working Fitbit had to send me a replacement I assume this happens often cause once i told them the problem they just sent a new one . The scale is a pain to get synced and the range for the wifi is just horrible 90 of the time it will not sync with the app to log your weigh ins. getting it setup is a nightmare and what should be an easy process is a drawn out mess I regret purchasing this scale and for the amount of money i would never do it again. I do not recommend this scale you are better off with a plain old regular scale…..
burlapallstar –
Great way to track your weight. You can set up multiple accounts and the scale automatically uploads to weight to your fitbit account. Even better, you can use this scale even without a daily step tracker. The scale itself feels like very nice hardware, and looks very slickmodern.
alissa.m –
This scale does weight consistently and accurately. Its feature for syncing to your fitbit app is extremely convenient. That being said it sometimes will not sync due to connectivity issues and you will have to weigh yourself more than once to get it to log that weight. I also think the body fat percentage isnt the most accurate it could be. Its off by almost 4 right now and changes. It also sometimes mixes up users if you have Kew than one person programmed on their. Easy fix is to check the account and make sure its logging the right person for the weight entered. Overall its only good for accurate weight measurements and convenience when it syncs, which it does most of the time for me.

Im posting to help all of you and warn you that you should absolutely NOT buy the Fitbit Aria scale. At first the scale seemed to work, though the body fat measurements are an absolute joke and the weight measurements an inaccurate by 1.5 pounds. But in general I was ok with that because it seemed to be a convenient way to track my weight. Well cut to the present and the scales error margin is now 34 pounds It makes it impossible to track weight in any useful way. Ill step on and weigh 136. Then 5 minutes later Ill weigh again and its 139. Then again and its 133. After speaking with technical support I learned that they only cover the scale for one year. After that theres nothing. No repair. No replacement. Nothing. Furthermore, through this research I was startled to discover that there are actually thousands and thousands and thousands of people who purchased scales that stopped working In fact, Im wondering what the percentage is of people who actually have working scales at all. Seriously just do not waster your money with this product. Im sure youre reading through the Amazon reviews and thinking that this is just one persons bad experience and surely it will be fine for you. But do yourself a favor and look beyond the Amazon reviews. Check the support boards and other web pages and you will find a ridiculous number of people complaining about their 100 paper weights.

I purchased this scale the first week in Jan of this year. Only had it for a couple of weeks. It was super easy to set up. I already own the fitbit HR so I had the fit bit app already installed on my phone. I used my home computer to set it up on The fitbit online site. I made sure the scale was near my router and whala No problem I also joined weight watchers so this is perfect Weight Watchers app and fitbit app work together so when I weigh myself all info is updated within minutes to my fitbit app as well as my WW app. Love the convenience
chloewitty –
Bought this whilst it had some money off then used most of my Tesco vouchers to pay for the rest. They are a really nice set of scales that are easy to set up and use. I like the ability to track my weight on the app too. The only thing I will say is the fat isnt very accurate and had me about 10 higher than it should. It seems to be consistently out so you can track it, its just not right. Otherwise, I really like them.

Packaging ContentsThe scale comes in a small box within the retail box. The scale comes ready to be put on the floor, just take a plastic tab from the battery compartment. Inside there is a flier that gives you the website to do the setup.Very easy to setup. I was able to setup in minutes and be able to sync with my fitbit accountOverallAfter the setup, I love the easiest use of this product I am not sure it is worth the extra money to everyone, but it is to me. I have 4 people using the scale and the uploads worked great.

I bought the Aria as I thought it would complement my Fitbit Alta. The Aria is a nightmare to setup even for someone with IT experience and is very fussy about its WiFi connection. Without a WiFi connection it is effectively a low tech normal scales. I eventually got the Aria to talk to my WiFi router after approx 2 hours and it now operates as it should except it appears to be unable to complete a software update which is apparently a common issue. Another common issues is that the Aria tends to fail in under two years. My advice is to do some research before purchasing this product.

Cant fault Tesco, service delivery brilliant as always. The scales themselves…. well, for the first few days we thought they were great. We did the full link up to the wifi and to my Fitbit and all was well. Now they keep telling me that I am a guest and they keep recognising my husband as me Were only 4 stone different in weight so that makes sense…. not. If they dont buck their ideas up soon, I will be returning and getting something better. Its hard enough trying to lose the weight without being laughed at by a scale whilst doing it

This is the best scale I ever own Technology is really changing the world. I love that this has builtin Bluetooth, its so easy to you can set it up from your smartphone. Its so easy to sync with your Fitbit app. I love how you can just have everything recorded on your phone. You can keep track of your results, Amazing You can keep track of what your eat and your goals on the app, and with the scale if you use it consistently you can definitely reach your weight goals. I really like that you can have 8 people use it at a time, and will keep your data private. This does everything, your weight body fat and BMI like what else can you ask for Get it, you wont be disappointed
Mike –
Our Original version 1 just stopped working with our new router. Seems Comcast is too advanced for the older scale tech. Anyway after 4 years a new version was warranted. We love the new one, no connectivity issues, icons for each of our 5 family members to identify each other and seems to measure more repeatable than its younger version.
Suki2014 –
I bought this 3 weeks ago to sync with my Fitbit and also Phone. If does both well. Massive downfall is body fat measurement fluctuates up to 10 on a daily basis and never measures correct . This is based on weekly measurement with PT who uses professional scales. The measurement is out by 8 fluctuates massively disappointing for the money

I purchased my Aria 2 years ago and have not had a problem until now. I replaced the batteries a few months ago and it has not worked since. I see that this is a VERY common problem with the Arias. I have tried everything. I read all the Fitbit troubleshooting blogs. I have searched the web several times over the last couple months. I finally called Fitbit customer service today. We went through all the troubleshooting again. NO SOLUTION They said that warranty is expired and they do not have a fix for the problem. They dont have a repair shop for me to ship it for repairs either. They recommended that I purchase a new Aria and said that they would give me a discount. Why would anyone repurchase the same product that has no fix for problems
Andrew –
Stupid thing was a royal pain to sync up with my fitbit. Tried the PC first and it could not see the WiFi. Then tried the laptop and had the same problem. Then tried though my smart phone and had the same damn problem. Pulled out my 3 year old tablet and finally got it to sync. Went through multiple forms on the internet and this is a very common issue with no real help from the makers. If you are half way technical and can work around this somehow it is an amazing scale but it took me 3 hours to work through solutions until I found one that worked.
mcgoo32uk –
I bought this during the clubcard exchange as I thought it was a bit expensive.Everything about it from the box to the smooth glass to the faint branding makes it look expensive.Setup was very quick and easy youll need a device that can browse the web and a web connected wireless router if you want to sync the scales with the website or app. If youre not going to use these scales for that I would suggest you consider a cheaper alternative. It works very well and I get consistent measurements regardless of floor position my last scales varied when moved by as little as an inch. They sync quickly with my fitbit account and I can view an historic record of my weight changes since setting them up.I also have a fitbit flex, which has changed my life for the best and made me more aware of my lifestyle habits.I recommend these scales for anyone, but especially if you have other fitbit devices.
lomeeks0 –
So far so good. I am enjoying the Fitbit scale. The scale is stylish, reliable, and links up well with the Fitbit APP. Having researched various scales this particular scale has been quite accurate and user friendly.
Dan –
The Fitbit Aria scale has known Wi Fi connectivity issues. It is clearly obvious that Fitbit failed in the development of this product. If you care to investigate for yourself online you will see that this is a big problem. I myself have had this problem and went through great lengths to make the scale connect to Wifi with no success. Do not buy this scale.
thylane.r –
this is pier accurate and super sturdy. it can go anywhere and looks beautiful just lying around as you dont need to store it anywhere Its really pretty and works as well as it looks. it does not break easily and numbers are large and easy to read from a distance. Overall, I am very satisfied
AutumnLola –
I wanted to love this scale, I had such high expectations, but unfortunately I am tremendously disappointed. The weight is unreliable, and if I get on the scale 3 times in a row I will get 3 completely different weight readings….often 23 pounds difference Definitely NOT worth the price. If I had the box, I would return the scale, but the box was thrown away. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Fitbit Ionic, but as for this scale…it is a total disappointment.
Stasia –
Bought this about a year and a half ago. Was thrilled when I got itso sleek and cool and it seemed to do everything. Didnt use it regularly but now am trying to keep up with my weight for medical issues and the thing will not weigh properly. It varies as much as 10 pounds or more within only moments. I looked on the Fitbit forums to see if there was a solution and there are many MANY people complaining of the same issue and there told the same solutionwhich DOESNT WORK. So now, I have a useless piece of tech junk and am now in the market for a plain old reliable scale. I think before I buy another FitBit anything, instead of just reading the Walmart reviews which tend to track to more recent buyers, Ill go over to the FitBit forums to see what people who have lived with the item a while are saying.

WARNING If you already have a nonFitbit Smartwatch or pedometer DO NOT BUY THIS SCALE Go buy a smartscale that has integration for your current watchs pedometer count. The Fitbit Aria definitely has good build quality, however there is a catch this product only works with other Fitbit products. Their customer support is atrocious and there is NO plans to integrate other pedometers into their Fitbit fitness app. Which means you need to wear their device and your current smartwatch at the same time. Oh, and their devices are NOT cheap. If you just need to monitor your weight ONLY I can see this scale as a great purchase, especially if you already own a Fitbit brand pedometer or smartwatch. But be warned that it wont work correctly with their Fitbit App if youre trying to integrate your exercise and calorie counts calorie counts are affected by your calorie burn, which you cannot track without their pedometer. Their pedometers and app do NOT support bicycling, so if youre an avid cyclist buy a different product.Other smart scales and smart watches include support for other devices, Fitbits REFUSAL to do the same shows that youll be pigeonholed into their products if you go this route. I cannot recommend it, you pay a lot and it does very little compared to other products.
rlsarro54 –
Scale was difficult to connect. I had to rerun the startup multiple times before it would connect to the wifi. Once connected, it kept showing a sensing error and not report weight or any other info. I spent a great deal of time following all troubleshooting tips I could find. Fitbit Support indicated that particular error is an unrecoverable error. After several hours of research on many customer review sites and blogs, the issues with the scale appear to be widespread. I returned it and got the Withings scale. A bit more expensive, but trouble free, so far.

I own this scale and the body fat percentage is way off. Im under a Dr supervised weight loss program and they use a special weight plate to do accurate readings. This scale says I have 55 body fat and in truth I have 32, BIG difference. Having said that, the scale is pretty accurate when it comes to weight. If you are buying the product to monitor your body fat percentage, steer clear, it is not the product for you. The other thing I noticed with this scale is that it has some difficulty when 2 people are using it. I had to reset it numerous times because it would log my weigh as my husbands and vise versa.
psmith541 –
I always bought cheaper scales. I cant believe I ordered one for what this cost but I am so glad I did. I ordered another brand from another company that also was made to measure body fatbut it never did. So I was skeptical but figured I could return if unhappy. I love this scale It wirelessly transmits the weight and body fat to Fitbit and tracks your progress . It tells you your BMI. It has nifty graphs and motivates me to keep working to lose and to keep making progress towards my goals. It looks really nice as well. I got thr Fitbit bracelet to use as well so having the scale to is great. I recommend them to anyone wanting to get healthier or lose some pounds. The fitbit site is great for tracking food, weight,BMI, etc.Setup was a breeze as well.
Dave153 –
Used clubcard boost to purchase these scales and what a bargain they were. The scales sync in nicely with my Fitbit charge HR and all the results are visible in the Fitbit app including graphs and charts. They are very easy to set up and even easier to use, just step on and let the scales do the rest. You can set up profiles for each member of your family and it automatically recognises whos on the scales. The body fat is also a great feature and helps you get a good idea of your body composition, especially if your loosing fat and gaining muscle. Overall a great product, very happy.
ScouserMouser –
The price attracted me, best price I could find in the Xmas sales, plus I had vouchers… The process of buying easy and straight forward, 2 working days later they were ready for me to collect…. Straight forward collection in the shop and off to fight the Xmas bulge battle, something like that anyway. The scales themselves were also easy to set up and work for the whole family as a scale and interactively if they have a watch or fitband. Would definitely recommend although they are pricey, the interactive Fitbit app is what makes an expensive product worthwhile.
BigSung –
I picked up Fitbit Aria to pair up with Fitbit Force that I have been using since beginning of the year. I was in need of a new scale so timing was perfect. So far I am really enjoying the product. Wireless synch up of the data makes it very convenient. Body fat was an eyeopener.Prior to the purchase, I was a bit concerned about the setup as that seems to be the biggest complaint about Aria. But I did not run into that issue. I was recommended to use smartphone to set this up. Using this method install was quick and smooth. If you are using any Fitbit product, I would highly recommend Aria as a combo package.
jordanhanzon –
Using it with myfitnesspalfitbit apps is fantastic, and the autosync is fantastic… but its sole purpose is to be a weight. When I stepped on it, I was a full ten pounds lighter than I was using other scales I own. While that is a nice thought, it isnt accurate. I did weight tests as well with other objects and the Aria was consistently off. If you want to use it to measure loss of weight, it still works, but just keep in mind youre probably 10 pounds heavier than it reads.
JacquiP1980 –
I bought this scale as we both have fitbits and seemed the obvious choice. Other reviews put me off some stating that if you get straight back on the scale you get a different reading. Firstly why get straight back on However I did do this once as it did not sync and although it was slightly different it was less than 12 pound different. These scales are great of you have a fitbit account.
Joao A –
Im super happy with this device. im using it for a month already and nothing to complain. only thing that i thought that didnt meet my expectations was how to setup the scale. First day i couldnt do it with my phone and the next day took me some time. in the end my pc was saying that they couldnt connect and the scale was saying that everything was made. so.. not the best user experience in this department. all the rest, 5 stars.
SOCalUser –
The Aira scale is a GREAT product that apparently has an inherent design defect. I have had two of these and both the original and warranty replacement fail with the fatal 0x00 error which, according to Arie support, means the scale has failed electronically and has to be replaced. Fitbit replaced the first scale but declined to replace the failing replacement. SO… if you get lucky and it works for a few months and you can get a onetime replacement you should be good for about a year then have to purchase again. Our scale was located away from shower moisture so that is not a cause. For my money a scale costing over 100 should work longer than about 6 months which is about the lifespan of the two scales I have had. I wish it were better designed electronically as otherwise it is a great product.
Eckko1967 –
I really thought this would be better for the price and it is always off by 4 pounds no matter what you do. Ive already contacted the company and there is no solution but to send it back in for a new one. Unfortunately my friend is having the same problem but his is off almost 5 pounds. I know your asking how we know this, we had tried 4 other non Aria branded scales and all were the same after resetting but these continue to be off. Otherwise the features are fairly simple to use and def help in keeping you focused on goals.I will def look for another brand next time….Rob
John –
Its as accurate as the scale in my doctors office. Unlike most digital scales you dont have to tap it with your foot first to activate it. Just step right up. It tells you your weight and body fat. The best part is that it syncs automatically with my Fitbit app. You get the most from the scale by using it with the free app and a Fitbit. I have no regrets with this purchase.
shawnda.t –
I super dig this scale I started my weightloss journey in january and received this as a gift to help me along and its the best scale I have ever owned . The personalized Icons are super cute and the ability to add multiple user profiles while keeping personal info private is a plus

I received this scale as a Christmas gift many years ago and I LOVE it I dont pay much attention to the BF because it isnt accurate on any scale, but I love that it syncs my weight right into the FitBit app. The battery in it lasts forever too Its nice to be able to look at the app and see different stats. This scale is great for anyone who wants to track their progress in their weight lossgainmaintenance goals

I really wanted to like the Aria. I have a fitbit, my boyfriend has a fitbit and he has the Aria too and they all work great. I did not have such a success with my Aria though, in fact I had zero success with it hence my poor review.I got my boyfriend his Aria as a gift, he took it home and within minutes it was working. It still is. Mine is quite a different story. I followed the instructions, but the Aria would not connect to my wireless network no matter how many times I repeated the process. It was not easy to repeat either because every time it failed, it would also change the settings on my laptop just enough that now my laptop would not connect to my network either. So I had to disable the wireless adapter on my laptop for every repetition. Eventually I gave up and my boyfriend tried still no success. We are both technically savvy being software engineers, so we really tried the security on the wireless network, the name on the wireless network, the characters in the password, the connection type gbn they were all suspect and we changed them all according to the specifications on the fitbit site. Alas, even using our cell phones and his laptop in case it was mine that didnt work nothing helped. Finally, we decided the scale was bad and we got a second one. Still no success. Perhaps it was my router So we got another one of those too and repeated the process. That scale is sitting on my desk and it is ready to go back to the store at this point.Frankly, if I had been able to get it to work, I would not have rated it 1 star because I know from my boyfriend how much he likes his. But it doesnt make sense for both of us to fail at setting it up when its supposed to be easy. We didnt just fail a few times either, we never succeeded. I still have no idea how I could possibly ever get it to work.

Ive been using the Fitbit Aria for about 6 months in conjunction with my Fitbit Flex. Its been a great tool for me to better understand my intake vs. outtake on my quest for a healthier lifestyle.Pros Using the fitbit app for my iphone, I love being able to track historical progress in both weight goals as well as BMIBody Fat precentage SYNCs wireless over WIFI its smart. the scale recognizes the user as soon as I step on it. It has always distinguished myself from my wife as well as my daughter. GRANTED, there are some huge weight differences between the 3 of us. its a beautiful product. It absolutely looks terrific out in the open and aesthetically fits the look of my house which is absolutely a weird thing to type about a scaleCons the one major con I have is that the the WIFI range drops from time to time when the scale is upstairs and the router is downstairs. In the ARIAs defense, my phone also has trouble receiving signal upstairs. The annoyance of this is more of the hassle having to move the scale downstairs near the router from time to time. if you were diligent, you could buy a digital scale at a fraction of the price. I would never do this since I know that I love the simplicity of having my food intake, my stepsexercise as well as my weightBMI in a single location.
melissa.e –
When I first starting using the scale it worked perfectly. It connected to wifi and gave accurate readings. However since I have not had any wifi my scale has not been working. Infact it doesnt even work at all. it gives false weight readings false BMI. It reads error. It cannot differentiate between guest and my profile. I dont understand how an expensive scale cant give accurate readings without being connected to wifi. I have completely given up on this scale and would never recommend it to anyone.
Sultryaz –
Although this showed as an added device on the fitbit, I was never able to get the scale to successfully connect. After way too long with customer service, I was emailed tech specs to discuss with my network provider only to find out the necessary speeds arent even available in my area. The whole thing was a nightmare.
Shaun –
Ive had two of these total 260. Both have now failed right at 1yr warranty expiry. Fitbit did not stand behind their product.Ok but expensive as a scale with fragile internals, bad as a frisbee but the glass is strong. Took two strokes for my hammer to go though it…
MCL1234 –
I love everything about Fitbit and this scale just makes me love them even more It was so easy to set up and get synced with the app. The scale showed the same weight as my doctors scale so it is very accurate And I love being able to see the fat percentage and also how it progresses from one weigh in to the next. You might think its a bit pricey for a scale but I definitely think its worth it
creditman –
Worst purchase I ever made. Really so disappointed in this product. I had a fitbit one, but lost it due to the small size and bad clip. This scale never connected to my Apple Extreme AC Router. This router will allow a B connection. The technology on this scale is way behind times. I spent 2 days trying to get this to connect. I tried both ways to setupthe iphone way, and the software way. No luck, so I sent this back. I really cannot recommend this scale. And with QVC, it cost me 9 bucks just to try this out. I do not have the shipping charge credited back to my account. 9 wasted on this.DO NOT BUY THIS WORTHLESS SCALE. Also, customer service at Fitbit is non existent.
melissa.k –
I love this scale and that its linked to my Fitbit watch. It keeps track of everyone in my family. I think its worth the money. It definitely helps keep us on track with our health and fitness. You should definitely pick one up today.
Michael –
Pros Looks good, nice idea for tracking progress or lack of. Links well, easy set up.Cons I cant for the life of me work out why such an expensive set of scales cant consistently give an accurate reading, within 5 mins I can step on and off the scales and very in weight by as much as 3kg To be fair with time month this seems to have come down a little from those extremes to about 1.5kg, hence why I have held on to it, but still it doesnt inspire confidence
CD61 –
We have four people in our house, all with one Fitbit or another. This scale links directly to your fitbit account you dont even need to be wearing it when stepping on the scale. We initially had some trouble with getting the correct weights assigned to the correct person, but that wasnt the fault of the scale. If two people have similar weights it will ask you to select, then you just tap your heel at the back right side until you see your initials. If you have a Fitbit, you might want to look into getting this scale
garjo1 –
I like these scales because it automatically synchronises my weight to my Fitbit App on my smartphone and personal computer. There is no need for me to manually record these figures. It is simple, it is reliable. I also like the sleek design of these scales. Might I also add, the scales can be somewhat motivational, but not so much as is the Fitbit Charge 2 that I am wearing.
Marissa –
This scale works great I am really glad I purchased it despite the negative reviews. I had absolutely no problems setting this up. I recommend that you do ensure the fitbit app is completely updated before you attempt to setup the scale. After stepping on the scale you will begin to see little footprints appear on the screen, step off the scale at this time to see your weight and body fat percentage displayed. If you do not step off the scale you will get an error message and your weight will not display. I hope this review helps any that may have struggled to set up the device or who may hesitate to purchase. It really is an awesome fitness tool and I love how it automatically sends the info to my Fitbit app I can know see when I turn body fat into lean muscle as my BF decreases

This scale was ok but for the price I paid it doesnt do enough to justify being so expensive. There are much cheaper WiFi scales out there now that show you advanced stats beyond weight and body fat, you can get details on visceral vs subcutaneous fat, skeletal vs smooth muscle weight, bone density, etc. Im also a little skeptical if it actually takes a new measurement each time you stand on it or if it just remembers the last number it recorded for that day. Its ok as a scale if it was a bit cheaper, I just expected more from a product being offered by FitBit, as the 1 leading brand in the fitness tech space.

This is a nice scale however it will not stay connected to the wifi so therefore it was not syncing to my fit but tracker. I have the fastest wifi and it connects to everything but this scale. I had to call customer service several times. I would get it connected and the next day it would be offline again. I need scale but not this one, for 100 dollars everything on it should work. I sent it back for a refund.

So this was easy and straightforward to figure out straight from the box. The batteries were intact which was great I had another digital scale that I had to buy the batteries separate The other scale was more expensive but this just connected easier with my app to keep track of my progress . Scale goes up to a high weight I was so happy because after losing so much weight, I still have my precautions to make sure that it will read correctly.

For the most part I love this scale and highly recommend it. I love that it connects via wifi and syncs everything directly to my Fitbit account. I do not miss having to manually input weight. I also like that if I wanted to add another user I could. I just think that the syncing is not quite optimized and hopefully with future updates Ill get what I want. Anyways this is a great product especially if you are using the Fitbit tools for tracking.

I was excited by this purchase, it is packaged very nicely. But it was not until it was almost entirely unpacked that there was a warning Do NOT use if you have a pacemaker, or other implanted medical device. I have a spinal cord stimulator, so I had to return it. In my opinion, this disclaimer should be A Under the product description BEFORE ordering and B On the outside of the packaging in BOLD type. It WAS printed on the packaging, but in fine print so small a magnifying glass was required to read it.
Getfit24 –
Im so sad to say the scale stopped reading body fat on day 2. I tried resetting it, weighed in several times at once in an attempt to recalibrate, took out the batteries, unfortunately nothing worked. I am returning the scale and will try the Nokia body Smart . I love fitbit and really wanted to stay loyal with all the tools, however for a scale that is so costly, it should work.

The Fitbit Aria was extremely simple to set up and easy to add additional household members on to the system. It is also easy to set up with the Fitbit app and automatically syncs after you weigh yourself. In the last couple of days it has needed us to confirm which user we are as our weights are similar, but this is easy to do by stepping offon the scale when your initials appear. This scale appears to be highly accurate and enables you to keep track of your weight easily, the body mass calculation also seems reasonable.Very pleased with this product as an addition to our Fitbit tools.

We love our Aria It tracks who was the one that measured kids and cats included reports directly to your phone what your weight is and your Body Fat Percentage based on what your weight was and the other info you gave it.

Have been using this product every day for the last couple of weeksso far so good Ive found its weight measurements very accurate in comparison to recent hospital measurements. The body fat measurements appear to be consistent, although this sort of technology is never going to be accurate I find the data I get from these scales good enough to track body fat percentage trends.Build quality is very good. Feels very sturdy and I love the clarity of the big displayI found the scales easy to set up and sync with the FitBit app. I also sync this to MyFitnessPal with no problems.

The scale works as advertised. It was a bit different to get setup, but if you follow the directions, its really not hard to do. The main reason that I got the scale was so that I dont have to manually enter my weight measurements into my fitbit app. This scale automatically takes care of updating the numbers. Its awesome. If you locate the scale in a room that doesnt receive great wifi coverage, it will automatically retry and the numbers will eventually update once the scale finally establishes a good connection. The sale will need Internet access though as it updates your fitbit account directly in the cloud instead of connecting to your fitbit or to the app via your smartphone. If you have more than one fitbit user in your house, it automatically figures out who is using the scale. That portion also works really well. So, once you have it setup, you just step on it once a day and you dont have to do anything other than that. If you use it more than once per day, it will log all the measurements, but only the first time is updated into the actual weight field of the fitbit app. You have to go under the scale account to see the additional times youve used it.

Fitbit scale is wifi scale wherein data gets automatically transferred to the app. It is a beautiful scale with smart feature. It recognizes the person by their weight and the trend and updates the weight against their profile. You can create multiple profiles for every member of the family. I would certainly recommend it
hannah.l –
Do not buy this. There are plenty of other smart scales on the market that are cheaper, do more, and are just as good. I found one on amazon for half the price and it gives way more measurements than the Aria scale and it has an app that I can link to the fitbit app. I do not recommend this product at all.

In addition to a beautiful display, this scale has everything you could ask for Knowing ones weight means nothing without BMI and body fat percentage, so its awesome to get that information at your own home rather than just the doctors office. Its also so awesome that it syncs with my Fitbit, as I can see all sorts of patterns and bigpicture trends by tracking my sleep, steps, and overall activity along with my weight and body fat percentage. Such a helpful tool for getting healthyI submitted this review for a contest.

I purchased this Fitbit a couple days ago after wanting it for a while. I weigh myself everyday at the same time. The first morning I weight myself Aria said I was 2lbs up Wait No way Thank goodness I still had my scale prior to purchasing the Aria. I weighed myself on my old scale it was 2lbs down… After two days later same thing. Why after all this money Fitbit is asking for the scale its not even accurate. For all that is not worth, I rather just manually log my weight like I was doing before I got Aria. SMHSide note I emailed Fitbit about this I am waiting for a reply, I see myself returning it, there is a all kinds of people on the fitbit site complaining about this scale.
Dadasa –
If you own a fitbit this is a great way to capture data about your weight, bmi and fat content. Stand on it every day or when ever and build up your data see a graph and lose or maintain your weight. One thing to mention is that fat measurement may not be accurate particularly compared to proper measurement with calipers but this at least gives you an approximation that allows you to see your trend. Very happy with these scales overall but maybe a little pricey for what they are compared to functionality of other scales without Fitbit.
brandon –
As someone who used to never check their weight, this smart scale has a lot of features that make knowing my own health metrics very easy and accessible in my home I like the design and the functionality of the item, as well as the range of features including BMI tracking over time. It is not for everyone, but for the fitness enthusiast, this is a convenient addition.I wrote this review for a contest.

The Fitbit scale was the natural pick when I looked into a scale. I had a Fitbit blaze Everything connected fine, and the scale generally took all measurements fine, and syncedwithout any problems. The scale does not have the latest Wifi technology, so you may need to put your router in compatibility mode. I believe it was 802.11b, so outdated that many new routers have this disabled. If any users of the scale have a similar body composition, measurements and profiles will get mixed up. This was such a pain, Id have to sort measurements and get oddball readings.Lastly, I found this scale to be quite inaccurate and inconsistent with the measurements it takes, and does not measure body water. In closing, I would recommend another brand if your looking to use this scale for strength training and closely monitoring your BIA. For everyday weight tracking, this was good.
antania.j –
This is the best scale Ive ever used. Its extremely accurate and I can track my progress and weight loss from my phone. The Fitbit app makes this possible. I use it once a week when I get out the shower, and Id recommend anyone trying to monitor their weight to use this.
beancounterone –
WiFi in the aria 1 Is B level only. This means scale needs to be physically 1015 feet from router. Also, for this unit to connect with router, the router password used to connect devices cannot use any special characters as the aria wont connect. Get the Aria 2, it uses WiFi N which allows far better communicationconnection, connectivity and greater distance between router and scale.

l like the highend design of this scale. It must be a good addition to my bathroom. Its easy to link to fitbit app and pairs with my fitbit smartwatch. Id love to see my healthweight facts and exercises records get synced in one app. This scale also tracks the body fat. I have heard people saying that body fact measurements are not very accurate but it always good to see the trendschanges over time instead of looking for the exact percentage number. Fair warning… BEFORE you purchase a Fitbit product, you should understand the culture of the company when it comes to supporting its customers after the warranty ends.A few years ago,my wife bought me a FitBit Aria from Best Buy. As shown in its customer forums,FitBit has been experiencing an issue with mysterious battery drain for its Aria weight scales for a few years now. According to a recent chat with their support, they are clearly aware of this. However even though they recognize the issue, but have not been able to identify a resolution, they would rather take a hardline approach of hiding behind the terms of their warranty one year. I was told there is no fix, there is no firmware update,my only choice was to throw the unit out and buy a new one. These days, this is not a typical approach from most companies that understand the value of their relationship with their customers. Customer loyalty is paramount.Anyway, like me,you may wish to consider their approach when you consider purchasing a Fitbit product. These are relatively expensive products, but in my experience you will be hung out to dry once you are outside of their oneyear warranty period.

I bought this almost a month ago now, was quite aprehensive at the time but Im so glad I did now. I absolutely love these scales.Having read other reviews I was unsure how easy they would be to set up and use. In all honesty it really couldnt have been easier. I already have the fitbit one tracker and therefore already had the app on my iphone. I was able to do the set up through the app and add other users that way too. All in all, set up for both my husband and I probably took less than a couple of minutes. We have two users in our house and the scales know exactly who is using them at what time, anyone else can stand on them, they would just come up as a guest if not syncd to an account. The data is sent immediately to your phone and you get all sorts of great graphs for comparison purposes. I do a lot of exercise and so especially love the fat measurements it gives you, not only as a percentage but you can see exactly how many lbskg of fat you are carrying. Definitely a great way of measuing how much fat you are losing rather than just weightI try and weigh myself at the same time, in the same state every day i.e. first thing in the morning after my run. Our scales stay in the same place and the results are nice and consistent, ive tested it by stepping on and off a few times and results always remain pretty much the same. All in all, this really is an advance from my old style body fat scales with the metal pads to stand on The product is easy on the eye and really quite sturdy. I would highly recommend them to anyone trying to either motivate themselves to lose or gain weight body fat, or just trying to maintain and keep a track of your stats.

Here I am on QVC looking to buy another scale because this one has sat around forever. I tried to connect this scale using my brand new phone, my laptop, my iPad and my PC. Nothing worked. I was not able to connect. It is absolutely OBNOXIOUS that a scale which costs this much can only reveal information to you if its connected to the internet. From the extensive time Ive spent researching the problem, it sounds like my wifi might not work with this for some reason. So, now Im looking to buy another scale until I have another hour or two to spend trying to get the Smart Scale connected. I seriously regret buying this scale. Im giving it two stars because I bet it can do awesome things if its in the right wifi environment.

Ive been using this scale for about seven months now. Setup in my case, fortunately, was easy and problem free. I followed the prompts, it recognized my home wireless network, and its pretty much worked ever since. I can appreciate the frustration of owners who did not have a similar experience. Frankly, I was surprised it worked as well as it did. I gave it a 5050 chance before I started.About 10 of the time it will fail to transmit data to Fitbit. Step on it 30 minutes later and it works. It hasnt been enough of a nuisance for me to contact Fitbit.Data that does get transmitted shows up with no problem on the desktop and the iPhone app. The iPhone app is a bit flakey in layout, but with persistence you can get to what youre looking for.As far as accuracy, I think the weight is pretty dead nuts on. The body fat percentage, probably less so. Ive never independently verified it. So theres just no way of knowing. This spring and summer I used the scale almost every day to track my weight and body fat in preparation for two weeks of road bike riding in the mountains of France. As a training tool, it works great. It would be the first thing Id step on after getting out of bed in the morning lit display is nice. As I noted previously, the body fat absolute numbers are suspect, but during training they correlated well with physical changes in my body.Overall, Im pleased with how it works. Id have given it five stars if it didnt have the periodic connection problems.
clayinsac –
I really like my new Aria scale. Wifi ability to sync to the Fitbit watch is very convenient for logging weight changes. I would give it 5 stars, but occasionally it weighs me in as a guest and then doesnt always save to my profile. If I restart the app it works again, so not sure where that issue lies, but it is not very often that it happens. Overall an elegant and smart scale.

This scale is a risk to your emotional health… The weight seems about right. But the body fat reading will send you off to seek counseling. Im 510 130 lbs and it gives me a body fat reading equal to obese. On my original scale Im below the normal fat percentage. With each reading on this scale I increase a whole percentage point Thats not possible. So not only is it not possible that my body fat is in the obese range, the rapidly increasing body fat is also not possible. So, conclusion is that it is impossible to trust or keep this item.If youre looking for a trustworthy scale, this is NOT itOnly positive is that it does synch conveniently to your fitbit. Great concept failed execution.

I bought 2 of these scales and both had the same issue with shoddy workmanship where the wires were pinched by the case and after enough uses they stopped working. I researched online and this issue has existed for 3 years before I purchased the scale. Why wouldnt you spend a few more pennies to place a sleeve around the wires to protect them from damage but instead you continue to produce the same product with the same defect regardless of your customers.
sunshinehoney33 –
The scale is fine itself Buttttt We couldnt ever get this product to link with the fitbit app. We did everything possible and even called the cable company to lik it with the wifi. No luck. But it is still a scale just cant link to our fitbits .
AntMan67 –
I LOVE the scale and its convenience, but it always weighs a few pounds light the first time we use it each morning. I traded it for another thinking it was defective, but the second one does the same thing. Reading the small print online, I see where it has to recalibrate itself after being moved. We cannot keep our scale out all the time, thus moving it in and out of our closet apparently causes it to require at least one weigh in to recalibrate. Its not a deal breaker, but is a hassle since we have to then delete that reading from the software that we use to track our progress.

The scale is not that difficult to set up. I Googled more information on how to set up scale and was able to connected to my WiFi. You can add multiple users from your Fitbit app. Its pretty much common sense. Make sure you select your username in the app before you step on the scale. I actually feel like I have a scale that is giving me an accurate reading

I had the aria original and it was a PITA pain in the ass to set up. Every time the batteries ran out you had to restart it again. So with all the reviews I was a bit worried getting this. But I did and the 2 is SO much better at setting up. It took 5 seconds and much cleaner without having to leave the Fitbit app at all.My one tip is this wont work if you WiFi password has any special characters in it. At least the original one wouldnt work with that so if you are having trouble try changing your WiFi password or setting up a second network for the scale to attach.Looks wise its much the same as the original, but it shows cute icons instead of your name. When I weighted myself on both scales I weighed 1lb lighter on the new scale but 1 body fat more. Interesting Im not worried about accuracy as long g as the consistency is on point so doesnt matter much to me

I got this scale in an effort to help keep track of my weight as part of a new weightloss and fitness program. I also got a Fitbit tracker. The products work GREAT I have been tracking my exercise, steps, sleep, weight, caloric intake e.g. food and the app tells me how many calories I can eat as the day goes on in order to lose weight. It is simply eat fewer calories than you burn. So far, the scale has helped keep track of my weight loss and where it stands with my goal. FANTASTIC PRODUCT. I know it cost way more than other scales, but with the Fitbit support, app, and tracker it simply cannot be beat. Lost 10.6 lbs in the first 10 days. I only weigh myself once a week, but tracking the calories gives me an idea of whether Im losing weight. GREAT PRODUCTS

I loved my scale. It did stop working but Fitbit was great about replacing it no hassle. The only issue is the replacement did break again as well. Im giving 5 stars because the information and the app were amazing. I loved my experience with the product even though it didnt last forever.

Two points on this item1 When youre buying a FitBit product youre not just buying the product itself which works great but also the FitBit web site and entire approach to tracking. I personally love the site and how it handles tracking and displaying all your health information in one place but highly recommend anyone thats looking at any FitBit products check the web site out first and make sure it fits to their goals and needs.2 Read the directions Read them Especially if youre setting up more than one user on the scale, the directions which are just a single page long are your friend. If you dont read the entire single page directions like I chose to do its your own fault if like me you have trouble setting up multiple users. Once I went back and read the directions it was ridiculously easy.

I love the technology of the FitBit Aria wifi smart scale How ever the scale was way off . It would say one weight one second and then I would step on it again and it would be about five pounds plus or minus. It synced nicely to my fit bit however it was frustrating that the scale was off so I returned it . I might get another one down the road when they get all the bugs fixed. Until then I will just be using my dr.s scale.
shanastore22 –
Setup was a challenge, I had to go into my router settings and change a setting to get the scale to connect. My husband and I both use the scale, it tells you to step off and then asks who you are, you just tap until your name is there for multiple users who are close in weight. I feel like the body fat percentage isnt very accurate, however any scale that measures this uses a low electric current, which can be thrown off due to many factors. I have another scale that measures body fat, and they vary as much as 12 between the two I like this scale because I am a dedicated fitbit user. I track food, exercise, steps and weight.
RLew27 –
Initial setup is a strange experience. You have to connect a device phonetablet to the Arias own wireless network in order to tell it which home network to connect this. This could be quite difficult for someone to do unless theyre familiar with their devices settings.Once setup, its as simple to use as a normal weigh scale. It automatically detects the user based on its knowledge of their existing weight how this works for two similar users Im not sure and syncs this data to their Fitbit account. This is fantastic for someone who wants to keep on top of their statistics or has a weight loss goal in mind.
Steve –
I ordered a new one and it was obviously a returned unit. I could not get it to connect properly to my account. It would not even work as a stand alone scale. Just got error messages. This was to replace my unit that failed. Im done with them.

If you have a fitbit it links with your Fitbit app and your watch. It is pricey for scales, it tells you your weight, bmi, how much body fat you have. With is linking to you app it notes if you have gained, lost or stayed the same weight. It keeps track of it and also it links to your tracker so you know on your watch your weight. You link it with other people in your household they dont need to have a Fitbit to use this.

I have tried several times to sync up the scale with my fibit dashboard and am still unable to use it. After searching the Internet and looking at fitbit.com, I have have found that this is w common problem among buyers. Im tired of messing with it. I was very excited about this purchase because Ive had a fitbit tracker for several years and I love it. I will be returning the scale.

This has been one of the best tools in my weight loss journey. This paired with the app really helps me to keep track of how far Ive come. Soooo motivating to be able to see it mapped out. UPDATE This scale uses 4AA batteries which wasnt a big deal in the beginning because it took a while to drain the batteries. Now the scale seems to be malfunctioning where it stays on and drains the batteries within 1 to 2 days. Sometimes it takes forever to give me a reading for weight. Its also acting iffy on connecting and updating my weight through the app. It worked great in the beginning but it doesnt seem like its built to last. Its no longer working properly and has become a headache to use. Time to find something else.
glitterinpink –
It was relatively easy to set up. Super easy to use. I like how it syncs with the fitbit so I never have to remember what the scale said. It does distinguish different people which is cool. What I dont like is its a little overpriced and you have to add additional people as guests which means if they want it customized to them they have to sign up for fitbit app which is stupid. But so far so good, Ive had no problems with it.

First off, setting up these scales proved awkward. It didnt work with my PC or my Mac, then I tried an ipad and an android phone. Finally managed to get it set up using my wifes laptop… not a great start and really you would expect it to be easier. The real issue though is the random weight readings. Over a 10 minute window and 8 readings the scales gave an 8 lb variance. The same happened the following day. That means any initial reading could be 8lb high, or 8lb low so basically the accuracy is anywhere within 1 stone of weight. I did contact fitbit, and they said to return it as faulty, which I did.On reading up, lots of people get variable readings on these scales usually much smaller than mine to be fair and fitbit do state it may need to take an initial reading to settle itself if it has been moved around. The problem with this is that if you have a bathroom that is too small to have the scales permanently out then you always have to move it before taking your weight. This means you always need to take 2 readings…. both of which are uploaded automatically via wifi to the fitbit website. You then have to log in to your account to delete the first reading…. If you have to do that, you may as well stick with nonwifi scales and just enter your weight manually once a weekSo, assuming you have a bathroom and scales that work properly and can get it set up, would you like these scales Yes they looked nice, had a solid build, good functionality etc. If you fancy them, give them a go… just be prepared to return them if it doesnt quite work out

This scale is amazing Ive been an avid Fitbit user for a few years now, and really love tracking my steps, exercise, and calories on the Fitbit and associated app. This scale takes it to the next level. It connects to your Fitbit, so you can track weight lossgain progress seamlessly. Every time you step on the scale, it syncs to your Fitbit app, so you can see progress over time without having to log it manually. Plus, it tracks far more than just weight it can also track body fat, BMI, and your lean mass, so you can see how your body composition changes over time. This seems like a great feature for those on a new workout regimen who are trying to lose fat, gain muscle, etc. The scale seems quite accurate, so I dont worry about how much I can trust it. Finally, it is pretty sleek and unassuming it would fit right into any bathroom, unlike a lot of scales which can be eyesores. I definitely am a fan of the Aria and Fitbit in general I wrote this review for a contest.

I have been using this product for about three years now and it has not let me down. I have three profiles on there, my sister and my mom are on there too. I have had no issues with any of the Fitbit products connecting to the scale. I have used the blaze, iconic, aria and the flex 2. Its very durable, and easy to clean. The set up is fairly easy too.

I love my new Fitbit Aria scale. Set up was a breeze, I didnt have any trouble pairing it with the Fitbit app on my iPhone. Every morning I weigh in, and my stats sync quickly its so effortless that I have no excuse not to weigh myself. Holding myself to a higher level of accountability has helped me make better choices all day long. I can see my body fat percentage decreasing in the app, and Ive dropped almost six pounds. Its exciting to see how my efforts are paying off Definitely a worthwhile purchase if you need a little extra motivation.

I love this scale. I purchased it after using the fitbit for 4 months. Before, I would never really track my weight anywhere because it was inconvenient. With the Aria, I dont have to complete any additional steps, it tracks my weight for me. Plus, the whole family can use it to make it easier, since it uploads to everyones personal account. The cons I have seen about the accuracy are consistent with a person weighing themselves on multiple scales. I use only this scale to track my weight and it seems to be pretty accurate. It can be cumbersome to set up, but once online it works effortlessly. Finally, the scale can be pricey at but it is well worth it in the long run. Especially, if you are serious about tracking your weight consistently.I would definately recoommend this product to anyone who is thinking about purchasing a scale and starting a weight loss regime.

The Aria scale worked perfectly out of the box. With a short setup, you can have the scale automatically keep track of weight and BMI for several people. It is able to magically recognize the person when they step on the scale, so that it can keep their measurements separate from each other.Be sure to weight yourself barefoot so that the scale can measure estimate the BMI .The setup for automated logging takes a few simple steps and about 5 minutes1 Create a free account on the Fitbit website or one you already have2 Connect the Aria to your WiFi router3 Add the Aria scale to your Fitbit accountEvery time I weigh myself, the weight and BMI is sent to my account automatically via wifi. The data is merged with my Fitbit Surge tracking data.My wife steps on the same scale and her Aria data goes to her Fitbit account with her Fitbit Charge HR data. The scale displays our 3letter initials, confirming that it successfully identified the person who stepped on the scale and shows a check mark once it has sent the measurements via wifi. It has never made a mistake in choosing the right person, but if it were to, there is an option to assign a measurement to a different person. You can also manually add weight measurements if you were away from home and had to weigh yourself on a different scale. Each of us can view our health data with trend graphs. If you have a Fitbit watchtracker band and it is registered to your account, then you can display all of your health tracking information including the Aria weight BMI via the same screens. The weight tracking displays a line graph showing the Aria data for an individual so you can see changes in weight over time. This scale is terrific Not having to write anything down or maintain a spreadsheet of the data to produce trend charts. The automation of all of that effort is where the Aria makes a difference. All I have to do is step on the Aria daily or even once in a while. It takes care of getting the data into a log with automated charting.Anyone who has ever done all of that manually knows that it is hard to keep doing that for very long. Now my wife and I will be able to track weight changes and compare any exercise or diet changes with the weight results. Having the information readily available provides incentive to keep up good work when we see our changes making a difference. The BMI trending can verify that exercise is making a difference in body composition. The technology doesnt magically drop your weight, but being able to see charts with visual trends over time spark motivation in me. Having the full set of measurementtrend data from both the Aria and health tracking band paints a clear picture of key health indicators and also my corresponding exerciselevel of activity.I cant realistically make large changes to myself quickly. People who have done that revert back to where they started too often and too quickly.I can make small adjustments to diet andor exercise that I can maintain over time. With Fitbit tools, I can view trends to see if small changes are heading the right direction, and know just how much I need to adjust exercise and diet to stay on track.I can compare my health data against my level of activity during any time period weekmonthyear. This lets me look back to see exactly how specific amounts of activity affected my health stats. The Fitbit products make it easy to view these comparisons and maintain the right level of activity to make longterm incremental changes, or to keep myself where I want to be once I achieve my goals.Enjoy, and best luck with your monitoringimprovements

I purchased an Aria scale the end of December 2014. I only used if for about six months and then stored it until today. It syncs but gives me an error message when I weigh myself. After visiting their community help page I contacted Fitbits online customer service and they say theres nothing they can do because its out of warranty. Is it possible to pay over 100 for a scale that cannot be repaired and is broken by simply sitting in a padded box Guess it is if you read the number of people who have the exact same issue. Stay away from this scale, great idea but poor execution.

This review applies to the Fitbit Aria ScaleI had to save up for this expensive overpriced piece of junk and I have been totally disappointed with it since I invested in it almost 3 years ago I wanted it to help in my weight loss and fitness program using my Fitbit. I used the Fitbit to keep track of my progress and motivate me for months before investing in this utter failure. I am quite tech savvy but struggled with it for years in all the ways already documented in others reviews all over the internet just because I hated to toss this overpriced in the trash. Well, after wasting dozens of batteries, hours of time working on it and months of time when it would not work right so I just gave up I tried once more and now it wont even turn on Out it goes Fitbit, you should know that this is the major reason I am switching to an Apple Watch for my next electronic health monitor rather than sticking with your products Youve lost another customer.

As with many people 2016 is the year I shape up and I bought the Fitbit WiFi as something to help. I have used the Fitbit One for quite a well, which keeps a track of activities, but the Aria Smart Scale does more than that. The scale and associated app presents the results in a way that really motivate. It encourages you displaying your progress, and the graph puts it into context when we have the occasional weightblip.I have found the Aria to be much more than a scale, it is device that genuinely encourages you to achieve your weight and health goals.

This is not a reflection of Dicksmith, its a reflection of the product itself. The Aria is touted as being a great tool for tracking weight, body fat etc. Im sure it is, once you can connect the darn thing. I have been trying to connect my Aria scale using my computer, my husbands computer, my phone and my work computer and it still wont sync. I have emailed customer help at Fitbit and have only received standard replies or cut and paste replies from the instructions that are on their website instructions which I have followed over and over and over and over. When you go into the community discussion boards you see just how many problems there are with the software of the product. You have to make sure that your wireless internet router is set to work with an old format and a few other things that most of us troglodytes dont understand.Think very carefully before buying this as to whether you really need it and if you are willing to go through the drama of trying to get it to work.

The Apple Mac app tries to shuffle wifi connections, unsuccessfully in our case. It tried to connect to various random protected networks of my neighbors…. not clever. The PC web site works, has user switch wifi to the Aria base station and then spec the network.Appears that our 128 bit WEP key is persona non grata appears to want a simple string.Everything lines up, the scale finds the network, and then…. no synch. Not useful.Since changing the WEP password on our base station is a nonstarter, looks like back to REI it goes…..

Were a Fitbit couple. Ive got a Fitbit Ionic love it and wife has a Fitbit Charge 2. We also do Weight Watchers, and wanted an easy way to routinely monitor weight and bodyfat I discount BMI, but thats another discussion. The Aria 2 measures weight bodyfat , BMI very quickly and now syncs to our respective accounts. The setup, however at least on Android needs work. The setup is done via the mobile Fitbit app, and it would not allow me to simply ADD the new device the Aria 2. Instead, my only option was to allow it to Switch devices to the Aria. I then had to readd the Fitbit Ionic and go partially through the setup In fact, when I saw that it removed the Ionic, I contacted Support via Chat thankfully they verified that any account can have up to 8 devices linked although only one instance of any given device, and they verified that they could see the Aria AND the Ionic both linked to my account. Adding my wife was easy I just provided her email address to the app and the scale showed up in her account. That setup bit is the main reason I only gave 4 stars. The other reason for only 4 stars is that when I first stepped onto the scale to try it after setup, the scale displayed 2 foot icons, then 2 icons of half feet and then back to the full feet, back to half, etc, etc. After a while it showed ERROR and then 1. Checking the forums is how I learned that the 12 foot icons mean, OK, you can step off now. Knowing THAT made it easy, and now we are hap.

I wanted to lose weight so I went out and bought a Fitbit Charge HR. This is one of the best things I have ever bought. It has helped me lose 21lbs in just over 5 weeks which may seem too much too quickly but I am still eating good balanced meals and feel so much better for it.Anyway on to the Fitbit Aria. This seemed to be a natural purchase to go with my Fitbit but initially the price was putting me off. However, when I saw Tesco had them on offer I ordered one online.Again, I am really happy with my purchase. The quality of the scale is excellent. A nice glass top with a large display. I had heard that the setup can be a little tricky, but to be honest I had no issues. Use of the scales is simplicity itself as you would expect from a scale. Just step on, the display lights up, tells you your weight and body fat percentage and thats it. The scale will then connect to your Fitbit account via your WiFi and update your weight and BF in your details. Are they accurate. To be honest I do not know how accurate they are. I have not been able to judge them against a calibrated scale. But, and this was more important to me, they do seem to be very consistent. I do ensure I put them in the same place in the bathroom each time to try and help the consistency out. Lets be honest if you are wanting to lose weight, you should only be interested in your comparison from day to day or week to week and dont get too hung up on whether the scale is accurate to the nearest ounceYou do not need to have a Fitbit wristband to use these. You can setup an online account and the scales will simply log your weight for you SummaryI am extremely happy with the Fitbit Aria and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a quality set of scales. On another note, the ordering from Tesco Direct was very simple and the lady at the collection desk at the Tesco in Crewe was very helpful and friendly

Purchased these scales as part of my ongoing campaign for a healthier lifestyle. I already had a FitBit account and the set up was straightforward and simple. The scales very quickly linked to my FitBit account. Now, each all morning, all I do is step on the scales and my weight is accurately recorded in my account. Its easy to see how much Im losing and theres no effort involved. If youre into gadgetry these are fun and ideal.

I have a set that have just failed after 36 months, search on the Fitbit community for step off ERR theres hundreds that have the same problem as mine. Seems I was pretty lucky to get 36 months out of mine. So in short I couldnt recommend it as it doesnt last long enough to justify the cost. Currently looking for a replacement. Try searching for Aria Step Off, ERR They work well when their working but theres too many failing too often just out of warranty seems a theme, just a warning.

Overall, Im very happy with this product. The ability to track my weight, lean body mass and BMI has been very beneficial especially since it automatically syncs with my phone and Fitbit dashboard. The only downside to the product is the colour. I had to return the first scale since it was cream not white. The second one is whiter but not as shown not pure. The setup problems seem to have been resolved major complaint from other reviews since I didnt have an issue connecting or setting up the scale. While an expensive scale, it is worth the money if you interested in tracking your weight and will use it. I dont have any regrets and found it to be very accurate.

This scale works exactly as advertised. I love it and I especially love how it integrates with my other FITBIT Apps. I highly recommend it.
allwin03 –
Once I got this synced up with the wifi and phone app I like the way it integrates with the Fitbit dashboard. That being said I had some trouble getting it set up and work completely. I believe the problem was a poor WIFI access but the Fitbit support staff was fast to respond to my requests for help specifically confirming that I was following the proper process. It took a day or so fro the WIFI to allow everything to work but it works great now.

I bought these a month ago and I am really happy with them. It can be a bit awkward where there is more than one Fitbit it could possibly sync with as you have to tap through after you have been weighed and sometimes I have accidentally synced with the wrong one, but this is more user error than a fault with the scales I just think it would be easier to select the user or guest before being weighed. They are rather expensive but they look nice and are lightweight. If you dont mind the price although Tesco was about 20 than anywhere else when I purchased them, I would definitely recommend them
chandra.t –
I love this scale Lets start with the sleek look and slim design. It fits perfect with my modern bathroom decor. Now for functionality… It does exactly what it is intended to do. It weighs and tracks. I love that it is able to recognize the user that steps on based on weight. I also like that the information is automatically synced to my Fitbit account so that I can keep up with my weight loss goals. The scale was easy to set up and was operational in just a couple of minutes after opening. I would recconend this to anyone who uses a fit bit, or even someone who just wants to track their weight as a fit bit is not required for use.
Sarah –
Pros There is a lot written about this item being inaccurate when weighting, however it simply display things to an upper round number e.g. 12 st 6.2lbs would be displayed as 12st 7lbs. It still records the correct weight on the fitbit app. If you want to see it display the actual weight you have to change the setting to display pounds only on the fit bit app. I think the item is stylish and sturdy.Cons Would prefer it display weight with the decimal point when displaying stones and pounds. e.g 7.2lbs would be displayed as 8lbs unless you set the scales to show pounds only.
JeannieBean –
I bought this as a gift for extremely hard to buy for husband. He already had the Fit Bit medallion. With the medallion, he could measure his daytime activity as well as his sleep patterns. These scales add accurate weight and of body fat.I wish it was under 100.00 as I think that would tip the scales in the makers favor, and more would sell.I also wish they werent quite so fragile. They may NOT be, but since the top is a glass material, it seems very fragile. They are accurate, as weve tested the against our set of Doctors scales.

I bought this scale in December and I set it up on my WiFi without any problem. It was working and syncing with the app just fine until February 21st to be exact about 2 months after I got it. That was the last day that it synced with the app, yet it would register my weight and bmi on the scale itself. Bummer The main reason I chose this scale over cheaper ones was so I could have a running log of my weight to see how much Ive lost in my Weight Watchers weight loss journey. Im not sure which is accurate, but this scale always registered about 2 lbs. more than the Weight Watchers locations and Ive weighed in at 2 different Weight Watchers locations with very light weight clothes, but I just said I would accept that difference. Now when the scale stopped registering in the app….really I contacted Fitbit and they said it was a Comcast issue and first told me I needed to contact Comcast because Comcast had done some kind of update to their system. I refused because in searching on the internet and Facebook I found out that several other fitbit aria scale owners were having this same problem. Apparently, with this change made by Comcast, the scale wasnt talking to the WiFi network anymore. I felt like if this was a known problem, Fitbit needed to talk to Comcast to come up with a fix. The Fitbit Rep, after putting me on hold many times talking to their Tech Support person said they would try to come up with a fix and would contact me via email and said I should keep a lookout on my email box including my junk mail folder for a response from them. He gave me a case and off the phone I went. For the past month Id been checking my email randomly and nothing from Fitbit. My time is so limited, I didnt initially call them back because I figured if I did, Id have to be on the phone with them at least an hour trying this and trying that like before and I just didnt have that kind of time to give Fitbit. Finally, I called them on 328 since I still hadnt heard from them…they dropped the ball and all of this time, did nothing. Boy, was I annoyed The rep apologized for them not getting back to me, but he told that I needed to call Comcast and have them switch my internet from 802.11a to 802.11b protocol. Annoyed, am I YES I reluctantly contacted Comcast and talked to someone in the Internet Gateway department who said he heard of these WiFi scales having this problem. He said he could make the switch but he said it would slow down that WiFi channel Comcast gives you 2 WiFi channels. He said 802.11b is like internet technology in the 90s. I was hesitant to let him do it…just so my scale could work, but I told him go on and do it. He said he didnt think this was the only fix for this problem and that Fitbit needs to look for another way of fixing this problem internally. The next day, the Fitbit rep called me back as he said he would and we were able to get the scale working. I am concerned about slowing one of my internet channels down just to accommodate this scale but I will see how it goes. If this slowing becomes a big problem, I will have to switch my WiFi back and get rid of the scale.I do apologize for this lengthy review, but I just wanted to be honest and make potential buyers aware of this issue.

Like many buyers of this scale, Ive recently taken the fitbit plunge and wanted to include this scale to easily track weight and body fat fluctuations. Visually, the scale is very impressive. I got the black version and it is thin, sleek, and substantial footprint, heft. The glass is perfectly smooth, edge beveled, and the weighin process step on to step off is done in less than 5 seconds. Aesthetically as well as fit, feel, and finish, this is a 5star product.

I had spent a long time researching smart scales and deciding which to get. In the end I decided on the Fitbit Aria for convenience and motivation as they sync so seemlessly with the Fitbit fitness tracker. Took about 5 mins to set up. Can add multiple users and it recognises individuals by their weight handy. If people are similar weight it will ask who it is you tap with your foot to navigate through the users. The results sync quickly to the app if everythings on wifi. Seems accurate when compared to other trusted scales I think feet need to be uncovered for fat percentage reading.I bought the black ones. Of course its not the most important thing but they do look good Black and a bit glossy. Could be slippy if wet so be careful.Very happy with them. Possibly a bit expensive for what they are in that there are others that analyse other parameters such as body water content, bone density etc but Im happy to have them and found them at the best price I think at the time I purchased April 2017.

I like this scale, but I do have some issues with it. What I like is that it syncs quickly with my Fitbit application every time I use it. Its quick to read my weight and easy to set up. My issue, however, is that it does not give me a consistent reading of my weight. I can weigh myself four times and see four different amounts. Its not a huge variance, but accuracy is important and I find I dont see accuracy in consistency with this scale.

Its okay but this is our third one, they seem to break at about 13 months and are impossible to fix, Ive tried. No spare parts or help from the manufacturers so I couldnt recommend them. Value, not really, maybe when they first came out but now theres so many competitors, better prices and more robust, only bought the 3rd one as my wife likes them. In summation they are middle of the road but once they break just bin it and buy another product.

Its a scale. A pretty and, yes, expensive scale. Dont expect it to lose or gain fatmuscle for you, thats your job.Setup save yourself a lot of drama, based on review comments both here and online. If you dont have an iDevice, find a friend who does and have them come over when you set it up. DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE FROM FITBIT to try to set up the scale. Just use the online setup via iDevice and everything goes smoothly. I was up and running 10 minutes after opening the box.Ease of use Simple. Step on, wait, once you see the numbers show up 30 seconds, step off. Go to the app and check your stats when you want. Im a data junkie I track everything. With the Aria, no more moving data around, which is what I was looking for.Accuracy vs Precision Weight and bioreadings are consistent so far. I happened to be able to compare my weight on the Aria to my doctors scale win 24 hours of each other and the Aria was within 0.5 of the doctors reading. I will see how it goes in the next 6 months, my numbers should start changing week to week, based on my last run up to marathon training period.

The product came securely packaged and in a timely manner. The Aria was easy to set up and sync to Fitbit. Weighing myself on a conventional scale gave an incomplete picture and required me to keep a paper journal. Knowing the percentage of fat I am carrying around was a true eye opener and a motivator beyond measure. My health goals will be easier to achieve because I can readily access my Fitbit dashboard on my android phone. This product has met my expectations.
Big Softy –
Bought this because I love my Fitbit Surge. Unfortunately the Aria is not as good. It is very temperamental about being moved anf gives varying readings for the first few measurements after placing the scales on the floor. For me the BMI measurement never read anything. Help on the net suggests my feet may be too dry My wife got a BMI reading after 4 days of trying. On the plus side the automatic update on my Fitbit account worked well. No problems returning the scales to Tesco.

Best scale I have ever owned. Build quality is excellent, easy to set up, very accurate, and works just as it is intended with the FitBit apps. This is exactly what you need to complement your FitBit. If you are serious about getting back in shape or staying in shape, this is an excellent tool. Had it for a month now and wouldnt trade it for any other scale.

Nice clean lines and straightforward functionality masks the elegant sophistication of these techno scales. Linking up with your wifi readily lets you monitor your weightloss and efficiently link up with your Fitbit account. The scales not only take stock of your weight but also assesses your percentage bodyfat. Somewhat depressingly dieting may initially appear to raise this. But once weightloss is established you can see this drop and set healthy goals via the fitbit app or web interface. I also have a fitbit watch and togther you have an excellent overall monitor of your bodys changes. That said, the scales alone are well worth the investment. Initially linking up with a fitbit account can be fiddly for the technically inexperienced but once linked the scales recognise you and send their data wirelessly to the relevant Fitbit account. Genius.

I absolutely love this scale. If youre part of the Fitbit ecosystem, this is an amazing purchase to add. It automatically weights you and sends the info to your phone. The scale is also decently accurate when it comes to weight and somewhat accurate when it comes to fat. Even if its just decently accurate, you can at least use it to see how well youre doing. The Fitbit app also averages our your weight throughout the week. So if you are a obsessive weight tracker like myself that weighs yourself every day, the average actually helps you see if its trending downward or staying the same. So even if you have one bad weight, you dont get dis motivated. So far, I found weighing myself daily to be a breeze. My wife and I love it so far. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to keep track of their weight and see how its trending.

I really like this scale it is effective. It obviously tells weight and BMI information. I thought this product could measure water weight but it cant sadly. I do use it often its cool to use and have in the bathroom.

If you check out my other reviews, I love everything Fit Bit As a health and fitness coach I recommend their products app to my clients. This scale is awesome Its easy to use and accurate. Love it

I love this stylish gadget Its giving me good, honest readings. I like having it synced to my Android phone app. It was a bit confusing to set up they leave out a few steps. I havent figured out how to set it up on my husbands Iphone, so we use different scales still, which is fine since he doesnt really care. Its a bit pricey for a scale, but Im happier with it than my previous scale.

I have this scale. I purchased it back at Christmas and it has worked perfectly. I use it along with two family members and it easily differentiates between us. I have the Fitbit app on my iPhone and it syncs wirelessly. The setup only took a few minutes, and it has worked really well. Its convenient to look back at my weight loss progress. Its also good that I can save time with the automatic syncing instead of having to take time each day to track myself. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone trying to lose weight or just stay on track of their fitness.
Al –
I purchased this device in 2012 when it first came out. I found it strange that it was less accurate and always showed more weight than the 19.99 scale I bought at a cheaper store. Having owned a Fitbit I loved the idea of tracking everything to stay motivated. A few years later the scale went completely haywire. I tried for weeks to get Fitbt to exchange or refund me alas they hid behind the warranty and said since it was older there was nothing they could do. They also said which was a complete shock to me that a weight range of plus or minus 2 lbs was acceptable by their specifications. Do you know how motivating 2 lbs is when you are trying to lose weight Needless to say I have made it my mission to write as many reviews to save others the frustration and loss of money that this caused me.

Could not get the wifi to connect to the fitbit app . Tried and tried. Looked on youtube and found you had to do some magic thing with it to get wifi. Bought a Renpho bluetooth and it works just great with no problems right of. Connected and connects with the fitbit app. This is not a good product for fitbit.
tlly27 –
This product is horrible. I went through 2 and no matter what, they will not sync with my Wifi. Called Fitbit customer support, watched YouTube videos. Everything is set up correctly there is just a problem with this scale. Once I researched this, it seems this is a pretty common occurrence. This is a defective product and FitBit really shouldnt be selling it. The same problems date back YEARS. Even if you do get it up and running, it likely will stop working after a month or so. I cant find anyone happy with this scale.
Dontwasteyourmoney –
I could get on this scale five times in five minutes and weigh five different amounts. Sometimes the difference was as much as 5lbs. Customer service is awful and tells you its a normal variance. A 100 scale should do better than a 5lb difference each time you step on. Save yourself the money, this is no better than a cheap drugstore scale.
RedlionProductionz –
I would recommend regardless if you are a Fitbit user or not. If you are a Fitbit User, It will sync to your profile on Fitbit.com therefore syncing to your smartphone.I have owned this scale in black for nearly 4 months. All together I have lost almost 30 pounds. The weight measurements are accurate. Im not sure of the accuracy of the body composition though. It does take AA batteries that are included. I have not had to replace the batteries at all. Seems that I may only have to replace them maybe once a year. Thats outstandingThe scale is solidly built and should last a very long time.I am a very happy user
lymnroc –
VERY disappointed with these. I love my fitbit and have had both the charge 2 and Versa 2 so really liked the idea of scales that would work alongside my fitbit dashboard. The scales are nothing like as good as the trackers. It was fairly complicated to set up but manageable i do like the fact it syncs straight to the dashboard and my weight seems failry accurate, however the body fat is TOTALLY inaccurate. To start with it put my body fat as almost 6 higher than any other device and since starting to use them i have lost only a little weight but definastely lost body fat and gained muscle mass but the scales show that i have gain 1.5 body fat. If you read the forums there are a lot of users with the same complaint. Save your money and dont buy these.
maritess.b –
How easy this this to track your weight and BMI Every morning I step on. It automatically sends to my account so I can see my progress, check where Ive been, and set realistic goals. Long battery life and classic design. The fact that it syncs automatically makes it so easy to use.
JSTRONGGIRL –
I bought this scale because it syncs with the Fitbit. It was also on sale. Because I do strength training, I need to know my weight and body fat percentage. This scale is quite accurate with its results. Also, more than one person with a Fitbit can use it along with guest. The Aria can tell whose account the information will go to from previous readings. Great buy
rachel.t –
The aria scale is pricey I bought it because I have a fitbit I actively use and thought the integration factor would be perfect Honestly, I just havent utilized it like I should. I see how it could be a great tool, but for me I was mostly excited about the body fat percentage. I do not think it accurately measures body fat. I get a variance of 58 every time Im on the scale. I do like that it syncs to your phone though so you can see day by day or month by month how your weight fluctuates.
Michael –
Pros Cool and sleek. Stand on it after its set up and it automatically syncs with all my Fitbit data…. Makes progress on leanfat, BMI and weight really easy to follow… Setting up was pretty straight forward and easy. Excellent FAQ and web support. Fitbit customer service seems to be pretty good.Cons My first one didnt work out if the box… Fitbit say the symptoms indicated it was stuck in calibrate mode… Their solution didnt work so back to curries who replaced it no issues. Reading the FAQ shows this is a common problem… My second one has been faultless for the two weeks Ive had it.My fear is that the hardwaresoftware isnt of robust design and results in long term fragilities….. We will have to see.

I bought these scales a month ago after both myself and my husband got our Fitbits and wanted a more accurate set of scales to monitor out weight loss. The scales took a bit of time to set up and we had a few issues in the first week or so when it would register me as a guest or thought my husband was me we dont weigh any where near the same Ill be honest at this time I wanted to throw them out the window and curse myself for the ridiculous amount of money Id just paid for some scales that dont do what theyre meant toHowever, after reading the community forums on Fitbit and some perseverance its all working perfectly now I love the ease of tracking my weight as it syncs with the app on my phone it also means I cant cheat and count only the weigh ons I want to They seem pretty accurate and Im pleased we have the body fat reading as I think this will be a better measurement of our fitness than just the weight feature over time.Overall, Im pleased with the scales and they look lovely in my bathroom so would recommend to any Fitbit fans. However, they have a hefty price tag for what they do so you could probably get a much cheaper version that does the same thing without the Fitbit logo.Thankfully, my purchase was a guilty pleasure using the club card boost and my tesco vouchers so they were purchased at a much more reasonable price.

So far so good.I had hoped this would have downloaded the weights by Bluetooth, but it only seems to sync when I turn on the WiFi on my phone. While I have this on most of the time, sometimes I switch it off to save battery.Maybe I got a bad one, but I hate how at least this particular one needs that connectivity. On the other hand… This is a very attractive scale. The screen is sharp and easy to read.I love how the scale averages for several seconds to get an accurate read.As I am single and living alone, I cant attest to the ease of use for multiple users but single user couldnt be easier.Stand on the scale for 10 seconds… DoneThe glass top feels nice, and as I dont wear socks around my apartment Im not complaining about it being too slick. This is low profile, but adds a nice modern and minimalist addition to the smallest room in my apartment.Im a fan of black, but Im glad I ordered the white as it does not show dust or foot prints. I cant speak of the same on the black model, as I havent seen or used oneA BIT pricey, but the degree of laziness required to weigh in has me more frequently weighing in and subsequently logging my weight.

Scale does not want to connect to WiFi. I got this for the purpose of it being able to calculate my body fat percentage but that option is only available via WiFi. This is the third day after almost 20 attempts total to get it connected to my WiFi. I disconnected other devices from the network, turn off all electronic, reset the router, and even did it when there wasnt anyone else in the house and it still wont connect. If I got this at regular price 100, I would have returned it immediately, but since it was clearance 25 I can hold onto it just to track my weight.

I love, love, love my Fitbit Aria Wifi Smart Scale. This thing is amazing It accurately measures both weight and body fat, so it will give you both your BMI and body fat which really helps to give you a fuller picture than just a number of lbs alone would. Plus, it automatically tracks and records those numbers so you have a great record of your weights over time for reference, which I find is very helpful to identify trends and know what is a normal amount of fluctuation for me based on time of the month etc, vs what is something that I need to pay attention to and act on.

My wife gave me a Fitbit Force and us this Aria scale for Christmas, so this is a 24 hour initial review. If we have problems later, Ill update this review.Setup easy, less than five minutes. It took me longer to fetch the WiFi password than get the scale connected. I followed the directions, used the Fitbit setup websitesoftware PC, placed the scale close to the wireless router the scale was about 10 feet from the router as recommended by the directions, and it connected.Accuracy I havent tested the scale with a known weight or other check. However, when I step on the scale the results are as I expect. It is a longer process than our old analog scale the Aria also measures body fat using a small electric current, so it takes several seconds. My wife used it without a Fitbit account guest mode, and liked it. In guest mode, it measure weight but not body fat.Do I really need a scale that sends data to a webbased app No. Does it simplify my health monitoring and interesting Yep.

I bought this with the expectation that it would be a more reliable scale. That was my mistake. The normal cycle when stepping on the scale is Sensing, Thinking and then it displays the weight and BMI. This would be that case about 80 of the tries. The other times it would automatically start displaying numbers randomly then it would settle on a number. I would step off the scale, let it sync with the network and shut down. I would then step back on the scale and get the normal cycle and a weight that is approx 710 lbs. lighter than the weight displayed approx 1 minute ago. I tried new batteries with the same results.I did not mind paying a premium price for a scale that I thought would be consistent and was regretting my purchase after 1012 days.
Gozzy13 –
I bought these scales as they linked into my Fitbit and appeared easy to sync results with ease, However, I have found them not to be as accurate as expected even though the price was very expensive for weighing scales.. Initially they were saving my data as another user and now I still have to identify myself by selecting my initials as they appear. Also on several occasions it has weighed me quite different from my weight watchers scales, as much as 2lbs. On a positive note, it stores the data directly onto the Fitbit app so you dont have to do this manually.

The Aria is great. All three of my stars are for it. The Surge is a poorlymade piece and Fitbit knows it. The second day my husband had it, he took it off to mow the lawn. When he came back to put it on, the screen was cracked. Yep, it cracked just sitting on the counter. Its since cracked again. All Fitbit would do was offer 25 off a new one. I like the Aria and I previously liked my Charge, but I wont spend another dime with a company that wont back their products again such defects.
Kayg1971 –
I bought Aria for myself for xmas. It hooked up relatively smoothly. But the weight and bmi were inconsistant. If i got on the scale multiple times in 1 session, i got different information…everytime. I reset it thru the pin whole and Aria was also always on a hard surface. Its very expensive and should work properly. I sent it back.

I really want to like these scales. They look great and they integrate with Fitbit. However, the scales are incredibly sensitive and vary wildly depending on where you place your feet and when you slightly change posture. Foot placement is easy to overcome but hitting the exact same posture each time is challenging and how do you know. I have a set of Salter scales which dont suffer in the same way but lack the integration. Im not sure if Id recommend.
Konstantinos –
I bought the Aria and it stopped working after 1,5 year of normal use, giving the same WIFI ERR message that other consumers got. Fitbit customer service sucks big time, as they are not willing to do anything for it. Initially they blame the internetnetwork provider and ask you to call them. After verified that everything is correct, up to Arias requirements, they bring up the out of warranty line. DO NOT BUY FITBIT products. Prefer products with similar specs and longer warranty.
NeilSKN –
I have wanted one of these ever since they were available to replace my other Body Fat Scales. They were relatively easy to set up, even on my Virgin server. The wifi connection is great with the weight reading going straight to my fitbit app, previously the weight had to be input manually a real pfaff. Now seamlessly done. The scales recognise different people, just as the instruction said they would, effortlessly.
Grace –
This is not the Aria 2, its the Aria 1. But if you really want the wifi version of the scale and not the Air which requires your phone is nearby with the Fitbit app open then this may be your lowest cost alternative. I replaced an old Aria that was no longer communicating properly with this. Its new old stock and is working correctly.

i tried for 10 days and 2 different scales to get this to connect to my network. their tech support isnt terribly responsive. especially given that it costs 3 to 4 times as much as similar scales. i have their fitbit one and its a joy. easy setup and it just works. i took a chance on this thinking that it would work as well, but it doesnt.while trying to self diagnose the issue online i came across reviews that said that its not that accurate either. i cant speak to that since i never got it to actually work, but based on that, its inability to function as advertised and the high price of the scale, it went back to REI. they were great about the returns and continue to be a great place to shop.

not sure why I was unable to connect to my WiFi. Got WiFi err code. I think my problem is that the name of my WiFi has a dash in it and from the blogs… you cant have any special characters in the name of the wifi or it wont connect.at this stage in technology… this is going backwards. I have too many devices connected to my wifi and I dont want to change the name of my Wifi or dumb down my security settings in order to use.returning

I really like my FitBit Aria Smart Scale It has been a great way to hold me accountable for my fitness and keep track of my progress I like using it daily because it syncs up nicely with my FitBit app and logs all of my data, so I can easily see what progress Ive made I will say it may be a bit sensitive, because my body comp and weight seem to fluctuate by a percentage or two or a couple of pounds each day, but I think overall it is pretty accurate I think its worth the money especially if you love your FitBit like I do

I was a bit skeptical at first since I was going through the reviews, however Im glad I purchased it in the end. I did not have any issues setting up the Aria 2 with the WiFi nor the fitbits. I set it up using my laptop and connected my charge 2 first, then I sent invites to two others whom have Altas.Later they set their fitbits like I did, they chose an icon then they weighed themselves and it first saves as guest. However, through the mobile app you can chose to change it from guest to your icon, and you only have to do this once when you are first setting it up. Afterwards when we weigh ourselves it automatically recognizes our fitbits and our icons pop up. Overall very satisfied.

I had your Fitbit Aria and could never get it to work right. Its in the box in the closet.I was nervous about ordering Aria 2, but finally did It was easy to set up. It has worked wonderfully and preformed just as you advertised.Thou there was one problem, almost every time I weighed myself I would get my weight plus a second weight of 14.1 to 14.3 pounds.I sat down to contact customer support to figure out what was going on.About that time the cat came and sat on the scale. He has been maintaining his weight just over 14 pounds and would like to request you add a pet mode.Love the scale and glad I decided to give it a chance.

This was a Xmas present to accompany a fitbit band that I was given as a birthday present. Im sure the scales would be great on their own, but when combined with a fitbit band the combination is simply superb. Set up and synchronization with the band couldnt be easier, and only took a few minutes. Now, as soon as I have weighed myself, the information is available on the fitbit all and I can monitor progress. Couldnt be happier

We bought this as we both use fitbit activity trackers. The fact it can track weight and body fat and recognises individual users is a great plus for us as we have very different fitness types. The only criticism I have is that it recognised someone weighing 6lb heavier than me as me 10 seconds after I had stepped off the scales and therefore messed up my weight readings until I could access the website to delete the reading. These are a lot of money, but with vouchers and club card boost we got them for 30 which is far more reasonable Probably wouldnt pay full retail price for them.

I bought this scale last year and its so cool I love how it hooks up to my Fitbit app to help track progress. I also love how you can pick a cute little graphic for yourself, like a puppy, so it knows who you are. I also love the little smile when you step on and off the scale it makes weighing yourself feel a little more enjoyable.

I bought this as a gift to myself using clubcard vouchers doubled up. Been a fitbit user for a year now i have a surge. The scales are sleek, light and easy to push round the floor with your feet if needed i have to move mine out of the way when not in use. Really easy set up bluetooth connection and automatically syncs your weight to your fitbit profile so you can track increases and gains without even thinking about it. It also registers bodyfat so automatically tracks body fat changes too and this shows on your profile in a graph format. There are options to add more people and connect direct to their fitbit accounts if you want to. It can also be used for guests who dont have a fitbit profile but simply want a weightfat read out. I love the ease of this… I just wish it did BMI watermuscle readings etc. too but who knows what software upgrades are under development

This is our second Aria scale and the quality seems to be degrading on the Aria 2.Firstly, its a royal pain to get this thing to connect to your wireless network and its really sensitive when your carrier changes settings. Second, they dont last. The first Aria lasted about 2 years before it died and this one lasted just over a year so neither was covered under warranty. At some point they just dont show your weight and get a permanent error message. If you are a fan of fitbit and want an integrated solution, there are other smart scales that are compatible that work with Bluetooth. I do not recommend this product

Received this as a gift and I love it Had a small hiccup with set up because I put the wrong wifi password in, so it was kind of a pain to get that fixed, but after getting that resolved I love it I have another scale, but I never think to write it down so tracking hasnt been as great. This syncs perfectly with my fitbit app, which Im already using for my fitbit charge. I love it when technology works together My small daughter got on the scale right after I did and it registered her as a guest so it didnt show up in my log. NICE.

This scale worked great in the beginning, and it provides weight and fat percentage, but, it eats batteries like theres no tomorrow. Its an expensive thing to own because of that. Four batteries in one week is just way too many to go through. Why you ask Because the thing never shuts off. Its constantly ON any time you look at it, so of course the batteries are going to go out fast. I have complained to customer service twice. Looks like I have to buy another one.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my wife who is a bit Fitbit mad, and it hasnt disappointed.I did a lot of research into the various wifi scales that connect to smart watches, as while my wife uses Fitbit, I have a Garmin watch, and I needed it to sync with both. The Fitbit Aria claimed to be able to do this with the use of third party apps.It was well packed and setting up was very easy once I replaced the supplied batteries which were dead. Setup can be done online through the Fitbit website, and the on screen instructions are both very simple to follow and quick. It is easy to invite other users to be able to use the scales for it to sync with their own Fitbit account, and the scales automatically detect which user it is when you step on them. Updating the Fitbit website with the weight is virtually instantaneous.I am also pleased to say that it doesbindeed sync with my Garmin Connect app, although slightly more complicated as I had to set up a Fitbit account, link that to a 3rd party app, which then uploads to Garmin Connect. Slightly convoluted but works non the less except for body fat readings, which with these types of scales are rarely that accurate anyway. When using on a solid and flat floor, results are consistent and as accurate as any other scales I have used.Overall a great purchase and I thoroughly recommend if you are looking for scales that sync with apps other than just Fitbit.

I loved this when I first got it, but I soon found that the BMI reading was pretty far off. I brushed it off thinking I could just use it as a reference for lossgain. Well then I loved my scale less than a foot on a flat surface and my weight changed by 10 lbs TEN I could understand a few decimals or even a PD or two of the floor was slightly uneven, but a 10 lb difference in less than a foot of space in simply unacceptable. My 10 scale can do better than that.Do better FitBit, then I will repurchase this is being returned today.

The biggest problem of keeping a weighing scale in your room is the hideous looks. Fitbit Aria is very classy and very light to carry. The digital scale does its work well. The display is bright and big, making this is a great scale for the elderly as wellI wrote this review for a contest

I got tired of spending money on cheap scales that you cannot determine what number it is hitting as it moves about, or the numbers are too small to read, or they give you the same weight for a month….then I found this scale and since I love my Fitbit, I thought I would invest in a good scale….this one.I love it, it connects with no issues to the system and my weight goes straight to my Fitbit tracking site. So it logs my ups, down, and gives my percentage of body fat. I trust this scale and the numbers it is giving me, it has worked flawlessly and very much worth the money.

If you currently use a Fitbit you will enjoy this addon. You can track you weight based on a goal that you set. Scale also calculates BMI Lean vs. Fat. I purchased the black scale and for all it does its also a pretty sharp looking scale. I am not a real tech geek so the thing I was most apprehensive about was the setup process. Turned out to be very intuitive and easy……took me about 10 minutes to do the setup and sync to my laptop I did not use my smartphone for either my Fitbit or the Aria scale.

Read many of the reviews posted, then bought this scale despite reading about all the problems people were having with set up. So far so good Its beautiful, I set it up with the Fitbit app, no problems, and weighed myself and it works and takes my BMI etc. I did need to go into the app after and assign my weighin to myself after I weighed, and presto. Also I became worried when my BMI didnt show up on the scale itself, but later realized it is in the app next to the since log of my weight. Very happy so far. Wifi working fine. I have spectrum Wifi in my home. Im in Brooklyn, NY. I have an iPhone. iPhone latest phone. Ten I believe, its feb 2019 today.

Great Scales accurate. The bluetooth options that links these scales to your watch and fitbit doesnt always work. It did at the start for me and the longer I had the scales the more the feature didnt work which is slightly disappointing because thats what you are buying it for. So its a 3 stars from me because of this

I used the product only about 1020 times over the past year. It just stopped working. Called FitBit support, they troubleshot with no success. It is basically new and no longer works. It seemed like a great product when working but totally unreliable and no support out of warranty. The scale seems to be working from a power standpoint but it will not do weight readings. BUYER BEWARE, that the scale may work but if the software has any problems you are screwed. Cannot recommend this product and frankly Im surprised FitBit would sell something so unreliable. Wish it would have been a better experience but would really suggest you stay away from purchasing this scale unless you have money to throw away.

I wish that I had read the online reviews of this product before I purchased it. Fitbit has a lot of issues to work out with this one. It is difficult if not impossible to connect to wifi. After researching online, 3 calls to Fitbit support, nearly 7 hours of my life wasted on this thing, Im returning it. Ive made sure my wifi settings are correct, it says weak signal its sitting NEXT to the router, the screen freezes etc. Everytime I called support they would get stumped and I would mysteriously be disconnected. Im glad that I bought this from QVC because their returns are easy but Im out hours of my life and return shipping.

Very disappointed in this product. This is the first Fitbit product I feel like I was scammed on. I purchased this scale because I wanted to get my body fat along with my weight. This scale also would sync with my Fitbit and my Fitbit app. After only 6months my scale stopped properly working. I contacted Fitbit customer support and they claimed after troubleshooting the problems were fixed. The problems were not fixed and continues. I tried contacting support again, troubleshooting on my own, but nothing worked. No one from Fitbit ever offered me a replacement offered under my warranty. Only after my warranty expired was the replacement mentioned. I was told the only resolution was to buy a newer full priced scale. After hours arguing with Fitbit Ive decided I will no longer be supporting their company and purchasing their products that do not last.

Look Good, Feel Good, but hellish to set up. Took a LOT of Faffing about for about an hour. Set up kept failing yo sync so eventually after last failed attempt I gave up. In morning it had synced itself Pure Fluke but working a treat now

Perfect scale if you already own a fitbit It helps keep all the info in one app tracks your weight, body fat, bmi… and syncs to your app without issue The battery lasts forever too, i have not even changed mine yet almost a year with more than half left you can track that on the app too
Glebster –
Issue N1 The body fat measurements appear to be very inaccurate and inconsistent. Mine ranged from 9.5 to 26 within only 1 week. After a few weeks of using the scale the body fat measurements somehow levelled out and now appear to be in a range of about 23.Issue N2 The scale is supposed to automatically identify and pull the profile of the person who is using it. Well, this feature only works if there is a significant difference in weight. My house mate is 3kg heavier than me and the scale cant tell the difference between us.Issue N3 Benchmarking your own body fat to other peoples based on the results shown on the scale does not make any sense. Im much leaner and muscular than my house mate he never does any sports, whereas I exercise 6 times a week and eat healthy food, yet the scale says he has 5 less body fat.Pros Great design and mobile app online dashboard integration. Weight readings appear to be very accurate and consistent.

My daughter had me hooked on this Fit Bit Scale. I decided to get one of my own. The company Fit Bit is wonderful with helping to set it up if you run into problems as well. I recommend it to everyone. Nicely works with cell phones and Fit Bit products too I gained weight as my regular scale didnt help with the incentive that this one does.

Im so happy with my new scales. I connected them easily to my phone app. They are accurate and easy to use. I love all the little icons and also my husbands weights can be viewed in my app as guest. I love love love them

If you are searching for a smart scale, the Fitbit Aria is definitely going to be one of the top choices on your list. I personally received mine for free as part of a workplace fitness initiative and was excited to give it a try, especially since I already use a Fitbit Flex irregularly. The scale itself is very sleek and beautiful. It was definitely made with esthetics in mind. The initial setup proved to be more troublesome than I expect due to the scale not syncing with my wifi but once I got it figured out it has worked smoothly ever since. There arent a ton of features to this smart scale that you wouldnt get with other cheaper options but it works nicely for those looking to track their weight along with activity levels via fitbit. Unfortunately the fitbit, like most modern scales, isnt as featurerich and futuristic as youd hope but it is certainly a nicely made product. Its important to remember that the body fat percentage only effectively estimates the lower half of your body so it can only be expected to be so accurate. Its a handy tool but not a definitive tracking solution. I also suspect that it could be troublesome if you have two people in your home with very similar weight since this syncs accounts based on weight. Thats just an assumption though since the situation doesnt apply in our home. Id say that the retail price is a bit high considering feature set but if you got yours on the cheap or free like me, it is perfect

The most challenging part was connecting it to a wifi. First off. It was already set up from the previous user. With the help of the Fitbit site I was able to reset it and run the set up. That was a bit confusing because you can use either your laptopdesk top or your phone to set it up. Picture were showing phone examples but it seemed like instructions were written for computer use. But as soon as I got it set up it works perfectly. Measures body weight and Body fat. Now I just got to make a routine of using it .

I dont know how it does it but it does it. It runs algorithms based on your weight and measures your body fat percentage. Usually I try to find my body fat percentage online through charts and estimates but this smart scale has proven to be very accurate. It is very stylish in the glossy glass and LED screen. Also, the Smart feature of how it links to FitBits is another plus as all my body dimensions and information corresponds to the information relayed on the LED screen. As the world is becoming smarter so should our products. I reviewed this for a contest.

Fitbit replaced my aria scale, which for no reason I am aware of suddenly stopped working after 3 months, of once a day use and I am only 65kg. Thank You.Sadly my replacement fitbit band has also just come apart in the same way the original one did. They only lasted a couple of months. I am about to request they replace the replacement. To be fair they have always, in the past, replaced without quibbling. It appears to me there could be something seriously wrong with their quality control. I am a 65 year old retired office worker. I have never abused their products in any way. I invariably get excellent life out of all products I buy for example one of my cars is 39 years old, I purchased it new and it is still works fine.I find it unacceptable for a range of products to fail as consistently as fitbit products have for me. I have never had from any manufacturer as bad a quality control experience as I have had from fitbit.if either of their products fails again I will take them back in the knowledge that they are obliged under consumer law to refund the purchase price as the goods are apparently not of merchantable quality.I will take it back to them because although it is not their fault fitbit products fail, their profit margins are insufficient to enable them to stock such products, and their reputation is of value to them, and it would not take many such actions from me and others to have the product withdrawn from their, and other retailers shelves. This would be a pity as the idea behind the products is a fine one it is only its execution that appears to let them down. However I feel I ought to have some obligation to protect others from their apparent poor quality control.I could never discuss their products, if asked, without mentioning my poor quality control experience with them. I could never recommend them, but only because of their apparent poor quality control relative to their selling price.

I bought these about a month ago as I thought they would compliment my Fitbit Charge HR. Well what can I say but fantastic. They link directly to my Fitbit profile so as soon as you step off them the information is uploaded. Now how is this better than manually adding it in yourself, quite simply Im lazy, and it means I no longer need to have my phone with me at the time or even remember to enter it later. But also these measure the fat content of your body.I think it also helps me what to better my score, and so far in the month I have lost around 6kgsSo even though these scales are quite expensive, they have helped me lose weight and therefore I see them as good value. The service from Tescos was great, ordered online and then picked up from my local Express.

This is the second time ive had a FitBit Aria. After approximately 18 months, it has just stopped working. After contacting FitBit support, I was advised that due to it being out of warranty, there couldnt assist. Ive tried all the steps that theyve suggested to fix the problem replace batteries, remove a single battery etc.. Do yourself a favour and read other online reviews. This has been a complete waste of money. Find another better quality product.

You have to sync your fitbit with it. Initially the set up was easy, adding multiple users and dimensions. I like that it stores my weight and fat and the changes over a long period of time. I have had issues with inaccuracy over time and sensing errors in addition to syncing problems with the wifi. I would not recommend.Pro worked initially, gave body fat prevention and weight loss over timeCon major inaccuracies and issues with syncing
Lapshoot –
I love using the scale with the tracker. It keeps me motivated knowing that I have to get on the scale too. It was a little difficult to set up, even following the instructions. It was easier just to use the cell phone with my wifi. It does not work using my desktop. But with a few tries it finally did it. From then on, it was easy as pie. I have never bought a scale, I hate the thought of weighing. It is a bit pricy. Still cheaper than joining a gym, something I would give up on after a couple months
Joe –
had for a month. pretty easy setup. What you need to worry about is being a firm surface. Really solid. First hooked it up and put it on a chair mat as that was close to the router. Thought I lost X. thought I was cool. move it upstairs on a tile floor. Tried it again.Still good weight loss, but nothing like the first time. Should have known.Like you can track on the dash board of your Fitbit.

Love it. Took a few minutes to figure out how to link it up with the app but Im technically challenged. But once I did its been a big help. Having the Fitbit, scale and app has helped me lose 30 pounds. Highly recommend.

Scale is great. We use it quite often and it saves your profile in order to send it your updated weight via Bluetooth. It is quite accurate and connects directly to by fitbit app. I hope we receive updates to make it challenge savvy, similar to some of other fitbit hardware.
