I have two gripes about this mic, but that wont stop me from giving it a 5 star rating.First Ill cover what I love about this mic as a novice film makervloggerpodcaster. Hands down its the most versatile Ive tried. Heres what I love Autosensing output takes the thinking out of switching between camera and mobile devices. I would often forget the adapter for my lav mic. Long lasting rechargeable battery via USBC VolumeGain control Monitoring when using as a podcasting mic via my computer Frequency filters Safety channel 20dBIve used this for run and gun vlogging and also podcasting on the go. Output quality is really great for the price.Now for the downsides. no battery level display I ran into a situation where the mic somehow was left on while connected to an external recorder. The mic died while I was using it on a camera and I had no idea. Theres no way to check the battery level of the mic. which brings me to 2 battery not removableswappable Im sure I wont experience this any time soon, but I suspect that there will be a point where the battery life becomes poor and will need to be replaced… but, I wont be able to. I hope this wont come for many years. In the case of my battery dying on me, it would have been great to have a backup. However it seems to charge fast enough.

Works well for perfecting sound for webinarszoom, but it does not work for livestreaming on Instagram due current streaming algorithms on the platform which was a disappointing discovery. This is a documented problem of not only this mic, but any mic, Saramonic lavaliers included.Additional note If you intend to use this as I did for webinarzoom, make sure you purchase not only a tabletop tripod, but the adaptor to fit the mic to a standard tripod mount. This item is intended to be mounted on a camera and doesnt stand up on its own. I ended up cutting a hole in a cardboard box for a temporary stand until I could track down the right additional equipment.

Hello all My initial test of this microphone is somewhat tarnished.I received this mic with only the usb cable.Note it sounds fantastic with the usb cable and Im excited to test it more.However, the missing audio cable leads me to believe it was either an open boxed item which I paid full price for or Rode did not include both the audio and usb cable in the box as was intended. I called Guitar Center Customer Service and spoke with George, and he put me on hold, asking his supervisor how he should proceed, since Rode doesnt ship cables separately. In an effort to not make me wait, he told me hed call back later. Its been 3 days.The quality of this mic shouldnt be tarnished by the quality of the store its shipped through. I hope this will get someone at GCs attention to address this issue. Thank you

Amazing little, easy to use transmittersreceivers. Only thing that could be better is more audio padding on the receiver, I find the level a little hot even on the lowest padding level. Also if you were ever to run out of battery you cant quickly replace the battery. For the price these are amazing. I have been using it with my sanken cos11d mic and it sounds awesome

This thing really has a lot of features to it and it is small enough to safely pack away in a DSLR camera case. I think recording audio directly to a computer via USBC had a better sound than into a phone.Here are my concerns.There seems to be a high amount of noise when recording to my Pixel 3 phone. It might be the phone, the recording app, or the mic I need to test this more.I dont think the directional pickup ability or audio range is as good as my NTG 2 mic I saw some reviewers say it was about the same. The rich tones of a voice seem to come through better on the NTG 2.As you can see, there really arent a lot of drawbacks here, Im just picky. Honestly, for the price and features, this thing is amazing

It improves everything on the original Wireless Go. Very versatile. Ability to have a backup recording on each mic in such a small device is incredible. When recording in merged mode the system can have a 20dB safety channel as well. Range is superior to every other similar competitor. Works with original Wireless Go accessories too.

Before I got this microphone I was sad. The world was bleak and colourless and food had lost all but taste. I no longer wished to be imprisoned in this fetid mortal coil and longed for the release that only death could bring. Now I have the mic I feel a bit better. It even picks up the voices in my head. 5 stars it is incredible value for money.

There are multiple manufacturers making similar systems such as the Wireless GO II. My favorite part of the GO II system, is the ability to export 32bit audio from the TX of this system to sync in post. Ive talked directly to Rode, and they confirmed that when you set the GO II to record to each TX internally, set at Broadcast, you are capturing a RAW recording. So, when you export to 32bit, you will have enough information to get the cleanest audio possible out of this device. Since audio files themselves are not that large, I usually export to 32bit every time. Occasionally, when Im making a simple YouTube video of a product review, I set up the GO to record directly to the camera. Thats the beauty of this system. You can record directly to your camera, or export a high quality, 32bit audio recording. Hence, its a very flexible system. I could not recommend this more highly. Its a no brainer to me.

love this mic, I use it as a boom mic for a cooking show or vlogging, streaming, this has alot of great features and for the price this is probably the best one, this is a must have ..is it for music not really but say you are doing a live sevice or something outside, I have no problems, my other go to mic is the shure mv88 plus, its more money so if you are looking for a reliable mic to run and gun these two are the best I think.. Rode ngt, Great mic worth the money

Phenomenal We used this for our wedding livestreamed via Zoom. Our guests were convinced we used lavalier mics, but in reality it was just this one fantastic little mic. Paired with Rdes dead cat windshield purchased separately to cut the wind noise, this mic actually picked up audio that we couldnt hear in person due to airplanes flying over. AUDIO QUALITY Perfect. I dont think you could get anything better without paying significantly more. BUILD QUALITY Exceptionally sturdy. Much higher than expected. CONTROLS Just two buttons and one dial. Super easy. Note the dial only controls the audio levels via the 3.5mm audio out jackNOT the USB connection. When connected via USB, the audio levels are be controlled by software. CONNECTIVITY Can connect to a camera using a standard 3.5mm audio jack. For a phone, youll need a TRS to TRRS adapter, available from Rde, or Im sure you can purchase a cheaper one elsewhere. To connect to an iPhone 7 or later the models without a headphone jack, youll need Apples Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter AND an external power source such as a wall charger or battery pack if youre using this in the field. Without the external power source, the phone will tell you that the microphone has insufficient power. Note for the Apple adapter, the USB 3 is necessary, as it includes a secondary Lightning port so you can connect an external power supply. Confusingly, Apples similarly named Lightning to USB Camera Adapter does NOT include the extra port and therefore will not work.

A major upgrade from the first wireless go, with significant improvements. Easy to expand, with a host of options to tailor the system to your exact needs. The option to use the USBC connection to output directly to a phone or laptop, plus the internal recording, is a gamechanger for me. The only upgrade from here, would be to have a charging case, like the Lark 150 and blink 500 pro, or wireless charging, but as the batteries last nearly 7 hours, its a wish list idea, not a necessity.

It ships in peculiar packaging, you know, the sort that you cant put it back into but why would you This cracking little mic delivers a broadcast quality performance at a fraction of the cost of its older competitors. We field tested this inside furnished rooms and found that setting its gain to 5.0 gave the best side noise rejection even at a subject distance of 1.5M though a word of advice DONT turn up the gain on your camera too much because this mic delivers a very punchy signal Outside of course it really delivers and the excellent side rejection means targeting speakers in a crowd is an absolute peach, yet it does so with a nice smooth roll off between adjacent subjects. The battery life is as advertised so no worries there and the best feature by far is the selective 20db pad which everyone will need with newer DSLR cameras that are equipped with sensitive preamps but best of all, in noisy places or with unpredictable talent, is the safety channel recording feature that gives one channel as 20db gain compared to the lead channel. Its rare when I use it as a video mic, but it picks up sound much better than the Rode Videomicro I used to use. The micro wasnt great for video conferencing, but the NTG has been great. Significantly better than built in audio, and I can leave it plugged into the USB.Havent yet used it for voiceover work, but I have done audio tests, and it has worked great. The default settings pick up more bass than other mics Ive used, but it sounds more to me like my voice than the others. I have not compared it to other mics in the same price range.

I bought these specifically for the on board recording. This gives me a backup recording and I dont need to use my ZOOM H6 for most recordings now. I run this through my XT4 bodies and I have a back up recording right away.The new firmware allows these to record without the receiver unit.

You probably have already heard about all the good things about this recorder, and I think its probably the best product for these types of devices. However, the one criticism I have for Rode is that I dont like how I have to go in the app to adjust certain settings. Settings you would normally be able to adjust on the fly with other recording equipment. For example1. Switching the transmitters to record internally ALWAYS, or only recording internally when it is connected to the receiver is something you can only do via the app. Which should be clarified, it is an app to be found on a computer, not a mobile app.2. Also toggling on and off the Pad for linelevel inputs also must be done via the app.3. Changing the recording quality must also be done via the app.Those are the 3 settings, in particular, that I wish I could easily adjust on the fly, on a shoot as a I often dont always 100 know the shooting circumstances to know how to set up the Go 2 prior to the shoot day. I was under the impression there was a mobile app at least, but alas, there is not. So in short, I just wish there was a mobile app. Otherwise, Rode beats the competition anyway.

Im a performer and content creator who has tried out various microphone set ups, including a variety of wireless ones. Out of all the ones I tried, I would use the Rode Go 1 most often. With the new release of the Rode 2 and the increased features it offers, it has quickly become my favorite. Setup is quick and easy for shows and for when Im filming videos the builtin recording feature guarantees I will have great audio. During my shows, having the second mic is also useful for when I bring up other performers and volunteers. At the price point and features offered this is easily the best wireless mic on the market

I had bought the Rode Go a few months back to improve the sound on my videos that I have been producing. It worked out great, and I was really pleased. But I found myself interviewing people, and that was just hard to do with only one unit.Then Rode came out with this the Rode Go II. I have found it to be easy to set up, and the quality of the sound excellent. What I really like is that the individual units provide a backup recording of the sound from that unit as well. Say if your sending unit is out of range of the receiver, and the audio is not coming through on the video.While I have not had the need to use it, I realize that it is a benefit, to have an extra audio track for a podcast or something. I can edit it for other uses.Very pleased with the quality, and the overall performance of the Rode GO products. For the price, they are great. The units are small, inconspicuous, and I can easily slip them into a pocket which makes them convenient. Easy to charge with the cords they come with. And you do not need to invest in lavalier microphones if you are not ready, or you can use mics you already have. I look forward to purchasing and using more of the Rode products in the future.

So much more compact than the RODE filmaker kit. No need for batteries as they are rechargeable. Can record two channels at once. Light and easy to use Although recording quality is great, would recommend buying a lapel to use with them as they GO II mics are a little chunky on the eye.

Ive had the Rode Video Mic NTG for about a 3 weeks now. Ive owned the Rode Video Mic Pro and Rode VideoMic Pro and this is a very worthy upgrade that improves upon the Rode VideoMic Pro. The addition of the infinite gain knob, sliding mount, and ability to be used as a USB microphone via a USBC microphone makes the VideoMic NTG a versatile microphone. Furthermore, because this microphone has a USB port, Rode is able to push out firmware updates to it. About a week of ownership Rode pushed out a firmware update to the microphone to remove hisses users were reporting. This is a very unique feature the previous VideoMics did not have.A few disadvantages this microphone has are the built in battery and the decreased Maximum Sound Pressure Level SPL compared to the Rode Video Mic Pro . There is no way of telling what the battery level of the microphone is. The only indication is a green light that indicates the battery has at least 10 hours left. When this light is no longer a solid green line it means there are 10 hours left of the battery. It would have been nice to be able to have some way of indicating how much battery is left. However, what one can do it circumvent this problem is to plug in the mic to a USB power source, as the battery can be powered through USB for indefinite recording time. The Rode VideoMic Pro has a maximum SPL of 133dbSPL while the VideoMic has a maximum SPL of 120dbSPL which means the Rode VideoMic Pro has a slight advantage at recording louder environments like concerts.Overall I am very satisfied with this microphone and it, for me, is a worthy upgrade from the Rode VideoMic Pro due to its increased versatility. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a versatile microphone.

I originally had two sets of the first wireless go system. I really liked how they performed, but for live streaming sometimes the drop outs were critical for me. I have yet to use this system for live streaming but with the added range Im assuming I will have better luck. The simple fact that each transmitter records as a back up was the main reason I bought this. That way at least if there are dropouts, I still have a clean recording the whole time. This allows you to monitor your audio with peace of mind that you will not be missing anything even if there is interference. Having two transmitters paired out of the box is an obvious advantage as well since I had to rig my system to have two transmitters with my former set up. I really do believe its true they say, this device is great for a beginner, and also for a professional.

The product itself looks nice but its rendered completely useless with the cable interference noise. I have no idea why literally no one mentions this. The included cable is terrible. Even with an expensive sennheiser cable theres noticeable noise. Oh and the box is one of those once you open its destroyed designs. Meaning you bet BH is charging you a restocking fee. Dont believe the hype of influencers. Rode is paying them top dollar.

I have longed for a remote microphone when I am taking a travel video. This microphone system has a good range. Make sure that if you are using it with the iPhone, that you purchase the adapter cable. The cable that comes with the microphone system works only with a video camera.

The main drawback of the Rode Go ii, is there are very few actual buttons, so Rode makes each one do multiple things. Which leads to confusion and mistakes. For example, the power button on each transmitter is also set by default to mute the mic. So if you accidentally press it when putting it on for example, the mic goes dead. Or if you long press other buttons, other settings change. This in combination with a small screen that is difficult to read in the sun, creates frustrations controlling the settings. For professional work, I would recommend something else. But the unit is cheap, so you get what you pay for.

I was very happy with the product. I used it mounted to the top of my Nikon 7500 and thought the sound quality was decent given the situation large crowded hall. I felt it did a good job isolating the subject when I was 23 feet away. The sound quality is fine, it has low dba self noise and the material feel is good. The only down side is that it can pick up some ambient sound. In any case, its probably better out of box than some cheaper budget microphones. Outside of personal taste of sound signature, it simply works Its made to have a somewhat balanced sound, while some microphones emphasize certain ranges.

I use this mic primarily for my YouTube videos usually on a boom and it gives me crisp, clean audio without picking up an extraneous noise. Its a bonus to then plug it into a USB port on my laptop to do voiceovers and have a headphone input for monitoring right on the mic. The only problem Ive had is that sometimes it fails to auto turn on when recording my videos after I stop and start for another take. Not sure if this is because I use an extension cable or maybe not giving the mic enough time to switch back on. Either way it can be frustrating to have to redo a take because of no audio.I see some of these reviews complaining about no battery indicator but that is totally wrong. The LED will be green when the battery is fully charged, amber for medium charge, red for low charge and flashing red when very low charge. You just have to pay attention. All in all, great mic from Rode with the gain control, high pass filter, high frequency boost its hard to beat. As for battery life, be sure and register your mic with Rode for the extended 10yr warranty, If the battery dies prematurely, no guarantees but Rode might replace it.

I just received this mic and have only used it twice on location but loving the results. Great sound and very useful features like the bass roll off. Love the supercardioid polar pattern but you do need to be careful when using a boom to remain pointing at your target. The USB interface is very convenient as well. I was a little worried that I would eventually have an issue with the limited length when using a TRRS cable and possible interference but now that Rode just came out with the wireless go2. I probably get that to help in those times.

If you are buying this mic, you probably already know its a great mic, and IS better than the NT1A. The only negative I can really say about this mic is the cage it comes with. Its a fine cage, but I feel like its trying to compensate its look with its performance but its still a good cage. Get the mic.

This item is the best, I love the fact thats its two transmitters and a receiver yes one receiver thats able to be able to control both mics, on top of that the new program it has to record separate audio or even joined audio with two mics and the best part is that you are able to separate the two tracks with the new ride wireless go program and system. Best part is it had a new software for Apple and windows laptops to engineer your audio. Plus the mice doesnt even cut off even at 70 meters which is 229 feet distance, and if you have any Interference which might Happen, nothing is perfect, but it shouldnt the audio isnt lost, thanks to the new ride Wireless go 2, it has a prerecord interface, so your audio saves no matter what after every take, the simplicity of this product and capabilities are beyond imaginable. The wireless go II mic set is amazing I got it mainly because I wanted something I could use both for video calls and conferencing for work during the day, as well as for vlogging in my spare time. I watched a couple YouTube review vids and was pretty impressed with what I saw, but they are even better than advertised. The difference is night and day between standard broad spectrum mics built into devices like headphones, laptops, and even high end smartphones. I compared the audio quality between my Galaxy Note 10 alone, and using the wireless go II and was blown away.Colleagues of mine thought I was muted because they could no longer hear the 3 fans I have going in my office, but they could see them moving. I am able to leave my office in the back of the house and walk to the mailbox at the end of my driveway and I still receive clear transmission from the transmitter to the receiver plugged into my laptop via the USBC to C cable that goes with it. Theyre rated for 800m line of sight, but realistically just walking around your house you should be fine even with walls and doors in the way. While walking out to the mailbox I did experience a few gaps in audio transmission around the front door and garage door, but that is still pretty impressive.The battery life is excellent and I can go 2 days of work on a single charge w a transmitter no problem taking 3 to 4 meetings a day. Ive only had a mic die once during the 2nd day of a single charge and I just switched to the 2nd transmitter with no problem. The receiver usually stays fully charged based on having it plugged in to a device all of the time.

I really love this mic use it a lot.The only knock on this is the DB button where there is only three volume options low, medium, high.Even on low, when the mic clipped to the speaker at an optimal distance from their mouth, I do have to watch for the clipping.It works really great when you hide it inside the speakers shirt I uploaded an image. You cant even see it the audio quality is still good.I wish there was more volume range on the DB button.But overall, I use this a lot its worth the buy for me.

I was in search of a back up wireless setup for my RodeLink Filmmaker kit and after hours of watching and reading reviews online, I decided on the rode wireless go. The setup was super easy. I already had an extra lav mic so I just plugged it in and everything worked as it should. I have used it around 4 times already. Sound quality is great I didnt get to test how long the battery lasted or how far the range on the wireless was, but so far I am really impressed. This system is so small, I keep it in the side pocket of my camera bag instead of having to carry an entire separate case for it like I do for the Rodelink filmmaker.

I purchased this mic for two reasons 1 Upgrade my older VideoMic Pro purchased 2013 I think 2 Have a multipurpose mic vs different mics for video and audio.This mic is definitely more functional given the usbc port and this makes it a great all around mic. I do not notice a significant quality difference between this and the older videoMic pro aside from self noise level, which is important but I have not done any extensive testing. However, the added features of the mic itself and increased versatility is nice.

I am a complete beginner. For me this has involved more than just plug go. The first time I recorded the sound peaked and was sounding loud. Then I turned down the gain. After more research found out I also needed to adjust the on camera volume before hitting record. Any additional tips welcome Hopefully I will get the hang of it soon.

I wanted to record lav audio but didnt want to buy an external recorder or record through my camera so I purchased the Rode Wireless GO II and Im extremely impressed with the recording quality. Ive shot outdoors and In a busy restaurant and the audio was clear without much background noise. These are just as good as my Sennheiser but 75 cheaper.

I bought this mic to use with my phone and laptop as a usb mic primarily, and also for on camera sound. Its pretty straightforward to use, although what I can say though is depending on the cable or adapter if like me your laptop only has usbc ports, it might not necessarily automatically detect what its connected to. So if its not detecting and switching appropriately you might want to double check your dongles or adapters.The audio sounds clean for voice. It doesnt have that boomy podcastradio sound that an RE20 or sm7b have but it sounds much better than a sm58 and doesnt seem overly bright or brittle.

These were super easy to use, especially since we are beginners in videography. We needed something that could handle two person interviews, and this proved to be exactly what we needed. Our favorite feature is that we can have a backup recording of everything directly on the device itself We just had to install Rode Central first in order to turn on that feature. If you are looking for a device that is pretty much plug and play especially for beginners, you cant beat the quality or the price of this set We HIGHLY recommend them

Im transitioning from using the onbody mics on my Sony FDRAX53, so I was bound to be delighted, especially for talking head videos. Ive also used it as an accessory room tone mic while simultaneously capturing talent audio with a lav mic on a Zoom recorder. Im surprised how sensitive this mic is. Compared to my Shure handheld dynamic mic, I can put the gain way lower and still pick up softer sounds. I havent noticed any noise coming form the mic, either. The reason for 4 stars is that the fidelity of the recorded sound is not the greatest.

I like the Rode selection of microphones. I started with the Rode NT1A. While this is a great mic for the money it just didnt fit my voice, so I went to the Rode NT1 which complimented my voice. The construction of this microphone is outstanding and well built, so you will not go wrong with the Rode NT1. Rode also provides a 10 year warranty if you register the mic. Cant beat that. Hope this helps.

The volume gain is in the perfect spot and the mic does a great job with nice and clear tones. I love having the rechargeable batteries and being able to use it as a pc mic using usb is a huge bonus.

I spent months watching reviews on YouTube in order to choose the best mic for my budget. Overwhelmingly this mic came up in many discussions. I tried the NT1a and that mic sounded very good but was a tad harsh on the upper mid range. The next step up was the NT1 it definitely was the icing on the cake for me. Extremely quiet mic and very smooth and natural sound. I own the Aston Origin and now this mic and Im very pleased with both but the Rode NT1 is definitely my new go to mic.

I do not have a video camera currently that uses a shoe mount , although I am hoping to get one in the future. I picked this mic up specifically for use with Zoom calls and live streaming, in the hopes that it would also be useful for video recording when I have a suitable camera.My kids have group meetings for a choir and unfortunately due to the pandemic they have moved everything online. I wanted to try to get better audio for their calls than we were getting out of a builtin laptop microphone, especially since they are asked to stand and sit and sing a few feet away from the computer so they cant maintain a position close to the builtin microphone.This microphone is quite wellbuilt and solid. I have some Rode NT5 microphones I bought a dozen years ago and this seems to have a similar feel.I plugged this into a Windows laptop and it worked immediately, with the driver installed automatically, with no issues at all.It usually acts as a mono device, sending the same audio to each channel, but there is a neat trick it can do. If you turn on a special mode, it will send the normal audio level to the left channel, but send an attenuated level on the right channel. If you are recording, and something causes the mic to clip, this means you might be able to repair the recording by using the right channel data, which is less likely to be clipped.The autosensing headphoneaudio out jack is a neat feature as well. It allows you to plug a pair of headphones directly into the mic to monitor what it is recording. You can also use this jack to plug it into a camera or recorder. Thats a nifty feature.The builtin rechargeable battery is also a nice touch. Im not really using it yet since it is plugged into a laptop using the included USB cable, but it is nice to know that I can also unplug it and use it to feed a recorder. I want to try it with my Sound Devices MixPre6 II at some point, although I have not experimented with that yet.The audio quality is quite good. It might not impress a location sound engineer as much as one of Rodes large, thousanddollar shotgun microphones, but to me it sounds very clear, with a low noise floor, and is quite crisp. So Im very happy with it.Id like to point out that it uses Eurostyle mounting hardware. I was originally planning to use tripods or mic stand adapters with 14 diameter mounting screws with 20 threading. Be aware that this fits 38 diameter mounting screws with 16 threading. So you might need a stand mount adapter. Some of the BH bundles come with adapters that might be suitable for you. I initially took mine out of the included shock mount and put it in one of the clips that came with my Rode NT5 microphones, and that worked fine, but later found a Rode mic stand adapter that works fine and allows me to use the included shock mount.Overall, Im very pleased with this device, a solid and very cleverlydesigned little product.

So i was alittle skeptical but excited to deal with this microphone. Skeptical because i was always questioning if i really needed this much quality when i have a Rode video micro, amazon basics on camera microphone, two lavalier mics and the Rode wireless GO to use and all gives me good audio quality in their own right.So i took to the internet and some some due diligence like you are and looked up this microphone and specs and read review after review after review and decided to pull the trigger. Boy am i glad i did. Other then the professional look of it and it giving people the idea that i am performing something professional like when using it, it really does sound good.Something ive noticed in Post production is that most all of the time this microphone records two channels. It records a higher one and then a regular volume. It could be a setting maybe but im pretty sure i record my audio with every extra option off to ensure it doesnt do that but it seems to do it anyway. So ill usually have to adjust the left and right channels to balance out in the middle so that anyone watching my videos can hear me evenly from left and right channels. I bought the Rode NT1 for voiceover work on training videos. It has a very neutral sound and is easy to use. Since there are no real features, the money you pay goes into quality. Headphones and gain are controlled through the interface. The NT1 picks up more noise than I expected, so the room must be secluded and free from external noise. The microphone is made from high quality materials and is very solid. You cant go wrong with this one.

I was excited to replace Rodes Filmmaker Kit with their new Wireless Go. For my production and budget, the wireless go was the best investment when coupled with the Rode Lavaliere. The audio quality is on par with Rodes previous line up. When recording into a Zoom field recorder, perfect set up.If you have the budget…..INVEST. Also..the customer service and quality from BH was perfect. 24 to 36 hours after I hit purchase, the product was in route.

This is my first ever xlr mic, before I used a blue yeti and this microphone really blew my mind. I decided to buy this one after reading many positive reviews and I am very happy. It captures my true voice and gives it a very clean crisp sound. Not to mention its a very attractive mic. It is also a very quiet microphone, but if your in a noisy environment it will definitely pick up noise. You also get a 10 year warranty so looks like this will be with me for a long time. Some people say the pop filter isnt any good, but I have no problems with it and it works great for me, I prefer it over my other pop filters to be honest. I would recommend this microphone to anyone, if you are debating on purchasing this please give it a try I was in your position and would have regretted getting a different mic

I have been a hobbyist videographer for a long time, but recently I have been wanting to increase the quality of my videos. This system gives me a lot of flexibility and expands my options for using my old Rode video mic. Works great with a lav mic too, even though the mic on the transmitter is good enough to go without the lav. As a result of the Covid19 situation, we have been recording our church services for transmission on You Tube. For several weeks,we produced strictly recorded services until we could have regular services again. We are continuing to provide the video recorded services for those who are unable to attend in person. In addition to the churches sound system, I have been using my own equipment for backup and fillin.Until a few weeks ago I was using my Shure SM57 mics along with my Sound Devices MixPre3 mixerrecorder. While the SM57s were doing a decent job, I wanted to up the sound quality a bit especially the piano. The Rode NT1s are doing a very nice job in this respect. I couldnt be happier. So far, there have been no negative issues attributable to the mics and the sound is very impressive.

Lives up to the Rode reputation, and yet one of the better Rode products. Not sure how if would compare to NTG2, but I would give 4 out 5 for the sounds quality and ergonomic designs. Be sure to also buy the authentic Rode deadcat if you plan to shoot outdoors recommend buying from BH as well for the peace of mind makes a huge difference.

These worked great for recording a twoperson interview with my Sony a7iii mirrorless camera. The sound quality is great, even in a windy outdoor area. I had used the previous version, which were good but only had one transmitter, and these are better in every way. The biggest drawback to me is their somewhat bulky size which tends to pull on light clothing. You can always plug a small lav mic into them and hide the transmitter behind your subjects back, but that can limit the range somewhat. Also, on my Sony a7iii at least, the sound level going into the camera was quite high. With the receiver set at 0 and the camera input level set to 1 I was still getting clipping in the levels. I couldnt find any discussion online about that, so I tried setting the Rode receiver to 12db and the camera input in the middle at 14, and it sounded good. Im not sure if that is specific to Sony cameras but its something to be aware of. All in all the Rode is easy to use and delivers good quality sound at a great price.

The reviews on this model are mixed, but I decided to invest in one after seeing it in use by a local marketing company that i trust. This particular unit does not work half as well as the exact same unit used by said marketing company for interviews. Comparing them side by side the unit supplied by Adorama has only a 5 7 foot range from receiver before one experiences significant connection problems. I will not buy this model again.

Its a very good quality product, not only 2 wireless microphones, but the most important for me, you can record automatically everything in the transmitter and use this audio file directly in your video editing. I use small action cameras so it doesnt work for me to connect the receiver with them with a cable, so this backup wireless recording is a lifesaver Also their pc app is very simple and useful for settings and exporting The only thing I would like to be improved, is the sound volume, I hope it will be stronger in the future, and also the physical size of transmitters and receiver, I hope its even smaller in the future. The storage capacity of 7 hours uncompressed recording is very satisfying

And the fact that its an actual shotgun mic is amazing The aluminum build and high pass filters are awesome the ability to record a safety channel is cool Especially with vlogging you may forget to always do an audio check. The ability to control the gain from the back is a game changer Add on top of that if you wanted to record some podcast stuff or voice over the ability to record usb to your camera the shock mounts are of the same quality as theyre pro level sound equipment and the 3.5mm audio jack becomes a headphone jack when using the USBC output super clean audio and a true shotgun microphone made for vlogging. Also the microphone has a power detecting feature so that if you power your camera off it turns the microphone off and same as if you turn the camera on A super great feature As I know myself and many other people have recorded video and later found that the sound was not recorded. The only thing I wish is that it came with a windscreen in the kit like the NTG5 other than that I cannot complain about good audio and I dont think any one listening to my content in the future will either I would recommend that anyone especially vloggers invest in a good microphone before any lenses or gimbal systems.

This mic has a lot of features on board that are nice but the big drawback is the fact that it is very sensitive. I almost always have to have 20db turned on to avoid overloading the mic and clipping it this is with gain turned down on both the camera and mic. So if youre in loud environments or are using it to record voice, you just have to leave a lot of headroom or youll most likely be getting some nasty audio.

Truly a great little piece of kit which, if it worked as its supposed to, would be such a nobrainer of a recommendation.First the good the wireless system is sooo much better than v1 which truly required line of sight to work at all.The bad internal recording is NOT reliable. As of writing this review, Ive found both transmitters to be inconsistently recording. For example, in a series of interviews done last week I used transmitter 1 with a Rode Lav on talent, and transmitter 2 with a Rode NTG as an overhead boom. The receiver was plugged into my camera and I was monitoring the entire time, so thankfully knew I didnt have to rely on the recordings. Thank goodness, because each transmitter failed to record during different takes. Really weird, as I know I turned each unit off between talent changes to ensure separate recordings and to conserve battery power. But the files were just missing during different takes.It should also be noted that the internal recording is NOT 32bit float, so its not as failsafe as one might expect from the sales spiel.All in all its great value for the money, and hopefully a firmware update can increase the reliability of the recording. But I still wish they didnt use 32bit float in the sales language as its not internal 32bit float recording, but 24bit extrapolated to a 32bit file.

I picked up a few of these as backups for my Sennheiser belt packs, especially for areas where Ive got a lot of RF interference. Turns out these are fantastic and now are basically my main packs for shoots. Im pairing them with a Voice Technologies lav, but the built in mic sounds great too. I decided to get the full Sam Ash kit since it was 4 more than the Rode NT1 alone. It comes with a 20 XLR cable and a Samson 28 microphone boom arm. My one gripe about the boom arm is that the pin at the end of the arm does not fully lock, so if you try to put your mic at an angle, it will rotate. Maybe I got a faulty one.The Rode NT1 is an amazing mic Ive recorded my VO demo and some narration on it. I have it hooked up to a Scarlett 2i2 and Adobe Audition. If youre doing to get the Rode NT1, just pay the 4 more to get this kit. The arm and cable is worth itsweepstakes

It works great overall, as long as youre within 10 of the transmitter. As soon as you or your subject turns around, the audio is liable to cut in and out. Pretty much unacceptable and unusable as a professional piece of equipment. But if youre right there and not moving, it works well. Holds a charge well. 3.5mm jack on receiver I have two and this is true for both only works when plugged most of the way in. If you give the plug that last click, the audio no longer transfers to the recorder. This cant be the case for all of them, but its true for both of mine. Better than nothing, very functional if you know its limitations.

Before purchasing the RODE VideoMic NTG I made the effort and called DJ City to confirm the items included in the box, as items within the box are not listed on their website, just a description of the item. There are several photos with the listing and one of the photos is of the Dead Cat WS11 wind protector. The phone call confirmed If its pictured, its in the box. It wasnt. Its valued at 50 and I was happy to pay 369 for the Mic as I felt it was great value including the 50 WS11 Wind protector.Its a shame about the miscommunication as it was my first DJ City order. They were friendly and helpful but in the end it has still cost me 50 plus shipping that i didnt want to spend, as I have since ordered the Wind Protector from their competitor.The Microphone is an excellent product and it arrived very fast.

I connected a lav mic and there was interference noise after I replayed my videos. For its cost, I wished this wasnt the case as Ive read Saramonic doesnt have as much or no interference at all. Thats why Ive been using it without a lav mic and just clip it to the collar of my cycling jersey as I make cycling YouTube videos. Good sound using the transmitter, but not great.

I am so disappointed about the Rode wireless mics. If it reads 7 hours of battery life, think is only 2 or 3. As long as distance range, think of 10ft max and dont be in a room with WiFi or people with headphones because it wont work. The recording feature just makes the battery drain even faster. Super disappointed and all you will be reading is good marketing and great reviews but what Im telling is the honest truth. Stick to the wireless systems that are UHF and use regular AA batteries. They will last a lifetime, this mics wont.

The units were perfectly paired together upon startup. The audio quality was fantastic with the head worn mic we use to feed audio for a LIVE Facebook stream to an iPhone 12 Pro. The intransmitter recording was in two segments when I connected it to my Mac and extracted the audio files using the Rode Central app. I thought that was odd that a half hour recording would be broken up, especially with no discernible signal loss between transmitter and receiver. This was only our first time using the system and I am looking forward to further experimenting and use of this system.

I do various recordings as far as voice, musical instrument instruction videos, music tracks for various clients. For a while, Ive used the Blue Yeti and always knew I needed a better mic but didnt know what to get. Plugins in post can take you very far but, overall I knew I needed better hardware. This mic was rated very high for its quality to cost ratio. Im a saxophonist and I needed a large diaphragm condenser for what I wanted to do and this was at the top of the pile of my choices. It was a major quality increase. I paired it with a Focusrite 2i2. Very round and thick sounding. Ive watched videos and comparisons Its response curve is relatively flat compared to the NT1A. Also its extremely quiet. I wont need another mic for quite awhile.

This is a very useful piece of gear to have in your bag. If you only shoot occasional DSLR videos or are a professional ENG shooter like me, this is a flexible piece of gear. I use it for an easytoplace and simpletohide lavalier to do quick interviews. This is a new tool that allows you to move fast and keep it simple. It also allows you to avoid frequency conflicts in those environments that limits what vhf and uhf frequencies you can use, if any. They operate on a FCC cleared 2.4gb band. This system is not able to keep a good signal at great distance or out of sight of the receiver. But, it is solid in those situations where most audio with your video is needed. I just bought my second set and started using two at a time. The builtin microphone has great sound that competes well with the pro lavaliers I use from Sennheiser and Shure. If you are a pro, it cant do everything you will need, but at this price 199.00 it is a must get for flexibility. Its a little tricky to operate the power button on the receiver, but I got used to it. I use it with a Panasonic P2 Camera at work using a 18 to XLR adapter and with a personal Panasonic GH4 directly with the included cable It works great on both. I cant see how anyone would regret having these to use. If you use a gopro or just use you phone to do social media video posts, this will give you great narrative audio. Although you may need one of the many different Rode adapter cables to match your needs. They cost less than 10. I did purchase a couple sets of shorter 3 usba to usbc charging cords so I can fit everything into the little black pouch that comes with the set. Keep a little usb charger with you and youll always be charged up. These actually last me through a whole day of shooting. Around seven hours is the estimated battery time and my experience reflects that.

I purchased this unit for Zoom FaceTime meetings interviews to replace the wired 30 lavalier microphone I had plugged into my mirrorless camera which I use as my Zoom FaceTime camera, thanks to one of the excellent Magewell Capture Plus devices. I have been using this product for a couple of weeks and am very happy with it. The sound quality is much improved from the lavalier which in comparison sounded muffled with the Wireless GO allowing for higher frequency. And no wires. I have not tested their autonomy. I was able to do 3 4 hours of interviews and battery levels showed such duration is of no concern. I only partially tested this on the receiver unit but it looks that the Wireless GO can be used while plugged in if need be.

It was great being able to monitor the audio levels in the moment, and I loved having the two mics connect to the same receiver. The internal microphones are surprisingly crisp. I had the first Wireless Go for a few months, but had to return it because I had so many drop outs. I returned it and was about to purchase the Rodelink. Im so happy I waited for these. They are amazing and pack so many more features that I didnt expect. I love that on a more pro shoot, I can do external recording and NEVER have to worry about drop outs while still monitoring my audio I did a 4 hour shoot last week with both transmitters and no external recording. I had both subjects 15 feet away from me and told them to turn their backs to the RX, so I could make sure there were no drop outs. There werent any There was no line of site from the RX 60 of the time because they were shooting clay targets. I filmed outsideit was windy, and recorded audio straight from the TX with the windshield, it sounded great

Perfect mic for oncamera or on a boom, very lightweight and compact.The NTG is very directional and includes a 2 stage highpass filter to lessen the high soundslike airconditioning and light traffic. The NGT comes with a foam windshield but the dead cat forhigh winds outdoors has yet to be released for around 40.The NTG has a clip warning and sound adjustments include a 20 dB switch and a stereo channel that can set one channel normally but allow 20db of headspace in case of sudden loud noise that would overwhelm and clip the microphone, this way you have a backup track to turn to that is 20db lower than the other one. There is a gain control, for the headphone jack when you use the NTG with the included USB 1 to USB C input on the microphone, the USB C on the microphone can also update the firmware in this state of the art digital microphone.

I just got this and really want to love it, but Im not there yet. It has such potential I have a Panasonic GH5 and when I plug the transmitter straight into the GH5, I get annoying and very persistent interference in the audio. Sadly this interference is on the backup recording as well. Ive heard that if you use an external mixer it should get rid of the interference, but I havent tried it yet. The interference happens with both the included TRS cable and another TRS cable that Ive been using for years. Im not ready to give up on this product just yet, as I feel like there should be an easy solution, but so far I havent found it. Suggestions are appreciated.

I just got the NT1 kit, the Mic Is awesome… but when I opened the box I notice that something was wrong. I saw more than 10 unboxing videos and in all of them the box was different… and then when I open it I realise that they put the same kit that the Rode NT1A has, the shock mount is the SM6 and not the premium shock mount that use to come when you purchase this mic, the SMR and the pop filter is different. So my question is how are they going to charge the same amount of money if they are giving less quality products Go to youtube and look for an unboxing or review and you will see that everybody was impressed by the mic and the premium shock mount, Rode even gave youtubers the mic so they can review it on their channels… but then they decide to send something different

The noise reduction feature is my favorite. I have been looking for a new microphone and after countless review readings and video watching…this one was my overall go to choice. It has been awhile since ive purchased a new microphone and I felt it was time for an upgrade. Ive only had it for a week and I can already hear a difference in my recordings. The quality of the NTG is the best you can buy for less than 1,000. Picks up every sound your ears can hear, without static room noise. It even heard water flowing through the pipes on the opposite side of my house while I was playing the piano.Its so versatile. I love that it has a USBC connection on the side, because I can plug it into my smart phone or computer and use it to film and record with this external mic as the source. You can also use it with an Apple product when you buy a USBC to Lightning cable made by Rode.It does everything you want a mic to do, it sounds great, and its more affordable than mics at four times or higher the cost. So its the best way to get broadcast audio on a budget.I spent weeks researching which mic to buy, and Im happy with my purchase of the NTG.

This review is specifically about the internal recording abilities of this microphone systemThese mics are awesome in concept, but in order to use the audio from the internal storage, Rode requires you to export the audio clips using their proprietary software called Rode Central.The software is rudimentary at best, and does not allow you to export multiple clips at once. So if you record a lot of audio clips, youll need to export them individually. And the transmitters record using a proprietary Rode codec I kid you not, the codec is called UGG, so good luck speeding this laborious process up. It also wont mount on your computer without using their software.In addition, the transmitters I received ended up with several corrupted audio files the first time I used the product. This crashes the export software.I even updated all the firmware before using the mics.Hopefully Rode addresses these basic, nobrainer issues. When they do, this product will rockIn the meantime, if you plan on being able to record audio for your projects, Id avoid this wireless microphone for now. If you work in a professional situation, corrupted audio files and proprietary software that requires a great deal of labor to work with is unacceptable.

Was using a cheap lavaliere I picked up at a 5 store to do my YouTube videos. When youre a missionary you try to do things as inexpensively as possible. It actually did okay for inside work, but I do some outside videos as well since I live very near the Gulf of Mexico. I will also be doing them on Guam and in the Philippines, so I truly needed a good wireless solution. And I needed the ability to interview someone else and for that to be an easy process. I knew that the Rode Wireless GO II would be the perfect solution, but pricey.So, I told my wife I would start saving just for them, but a check arrived the next day from a church where I had preached a couple weeks before, and it was for almost what this would cost, so I ordered them.Extremely happy with the purchase. Have already used the safety channel since, for some reason, the recording into my iPhone on one video was not great due to the wind. The safety channel recording had almost zero noise. Saved having to reshoot it. I have a Rode Lavalier GO arriving today, and Im even more hyped about that

This microphone system really is as good as people make it out to be on YouTube. I used mine as part of my moto logging kit and it worked amazingly. The only thing is, I needed to have my setup all rigged to make it work but it worked. Ill have to make a video using this, Jonasegway is my YouTube name. Go on and look out for this video around mid July 2021 and I should have It up. These things gave me great audio in Conjunction with my Sena 20S headset.Look at the videos online on these, read some of these reviews and youll be happy youve purchased them if you decide to. In the meantime…in between. Time, I am going to tell you to get this. Received these yesterday from B H and tested for a few hrs.The good clean, strong signal. I was able to put the TX behind subjects back with no issues from 10ft. Went upstairs behind a door and in a hallway about 30ft away from RX and signal remained unbroken when out of line of sight. Limited test, but good news. No RF interference in my apt but would like to try in T.Sq RF mess…. Onboard mic is clean and strong, but a little thin. Noise floor very good with onboard mic but with lower sensitivity mic Oscar 802 noise floor a little higher but manageable. ME 2 sounded sweet. The pres are pretty solid on the TX units… Backup recording function is awesome. It caches up to 7 hrs of hq audio as soon as you turn on the TX units activated by the Rode App. Thanks for finally giving this to us Rode By far the best feature…The bad Not much except no 32 bit float recording. Please give us this in a firmware update Rode.All in all a really well thought out system that sounds really good and punches above its price. Cant wait to get it out in the field and battle test it…

I really like the versatility of these transmitters. In a pinch, for run and gun, the built in microphone allows me to capture clean audio. Hooked up to my 3.5mm lavs, they sound just as clear and crisp as on my old Senheisser wireless. The dual channel receiver gives me a great compact option. Highly recommend for compact setups.

This kit has lived up to all the hype so far. One of the best things about great gear is flexibility. Its easy for something mediocre to perform well under ideal circumstances. But the Wireless Go II performs under a variety of conditions. I use mine with a couple Rode lavs and a VideoMic NTG and Ive got everything I need.

I initially called G.C. and asked for the NT1A as I wanted a mic that had the mid boost and a great topend. The pro audio employee looked in the system and said they had one. So, I said go ahead and set it aside for me. Much to my wild amazement, the employee didnt understand the difference between the NT1A and the NT1. Unfortunately, all they had in stock was the NT1. I really wanted to try a new mic, so I figured, why notI got home and immediately began running it through a shoot out trying to determine how it performed. Placed it on clean and distorted guitars, several acoustics, and put a barage of different styles of vocals through it. One thing I noticed right off the bat is thats a tad boxy sounding with a good amount of lowend. It additionally added a sort of warmth to the audio, although its freq response is dead flat, except for a small lift in the highend.Initially, I hated it. I wanted to take it back the next day. It didnt give any of the sources I recorded the life I was looking for, but I treked on and began trying different micing techniques, which didnt do much of anything to alleviate the issues. But, once I began playing with the tracks and adding subtle EQ and compression here and there, they instantly popped and gave the vocal and acoustic tracks a great presence and life. The low end on the clean guitars was full and warm, but it kind of lacked on the distorted guitars. It has quickly become a favored mic.TLDR Add EQ and it sounds amazing. Good on vox, acoustic, and clean gtrs. Wouldnt recommend distorted guitars.

The mic in the transmitter is very nice so you dont have to buy one. I was surprised how nice the screen was on the receiver that showed the battery levels, audio levels DB setting. So I have a lot of siblance, and this does not reall yhelp, but it does not make it any worse either like some mics SM58, for example. I have used this in both a studio type setting and outdoors. I had it set up to record a performance I was doing. It was about 1520 feet away from me. Granted I had a PA, but it was not turned up much, just there for a little boost, and the mic was getting me adn the PA, but not the kids who were around it Maybe a LITTLE ambiant noise, but nothing to speak of. I might, might be in love.

Great quality for price thats for sure. I use it in my home studio and it doesnt pick up a lot of excess spill. Would definitely recommend for the price it is for anyone whos looking for a versatile condenser mic. Its extremely lightweight too and the shockmount and pop filter are great quality also. The pickup pattern is pretty flat which is good and allows for whatever sound youre trying to accomplish.

Hard to say enough good things about this microphone. First, RODE always seems to put out great stuff the quality is awesome. The mount is great, the overall size is perfect, the mic itself looks really good oncamera, the adjustable volume control is something every mic should have, the sound is awesome, the controls are intuitive and the rechargeable battery seems to last forever. Got this to do scratch audio for projects, but honestly Ive used the audio from this for a few run and gun things and have been very pleased. Gamechanging cameratop shotgun mic.

As a journalist, I do a lot of two personal interviews and often need to record video without a camera operator. This setup, with the optional Lightning cable, plugs directly into an iPhone and works perfectly. Also works well with small audio recorders. The recording capability of the transmitters gives an extra level of security. Rode did an excellent job designing this system and I highly recommend it.

Im a longtime pro stills shooter. Recently a good client asked me to shoot some simple video for them. I needed some wireless mics for decent audio but didnt want to invest in something highend that I might not use much. These were well reviewed so I thought Id try them out. Bad issues with electronic interference, one unit is a brick after 7 months of light use. If you lose line of sight at all, no bueno. When they work they are great but if you are mission critical look elsewhere. I have had to punt these units for my 10 year old sennheiser bodypacks more times than i can count.

I am a professional documentary film sound recordist, and typically use mics by Schoeps, DPA, Sennheiser and Sanken. I love this mic for camera mounted purposes and for plant applications. A big part of the job is solving problems, and this mic is a big problem solver. It works with any camera, including the Alexa mini which does not have mic preamps and is usually a problem. I like it on my camera when Im out shooting. The high frequency boost sounds nice. I genuinely like this mic for its purpose and have been recommending it a lot for remote film shoots direct to cameraiPhone. Its a Swiss Army knife when you need an axe, its not an axe, but its great for what it does.

I needed a better mic than the entry level RODE Video Mic Go and more portability than my AT4073a which required phantom power. The quality is excellent and having on mic volume control to balance with a mirrorless is extremely convenient. The TRRS or TRS smart feature gives immediate connectivity with out having specialty adapterscables. I liked it so much I sold my 11 year old AT4073a which nearly covered the purchase price.

Physically, the Rode Wireless GO II is a fantastic piece of kit if you need to record two people and edit their audio separately. Its been an invaluable tool for me.However, there are two issues. One, the Rode Central software is very buggy it frequently crashes when I connect one of the transmitter mic units, and Ive even had it go so far as to crash Windows.Secondly, it uses what seems to be a proprietary file format for the audio files, a .ugg file. You cannot just plug it in and grab the files. You HAVE to export them using the Rode Central software, which brings us back to the previous issue.If you need a system like this, its hard not to recommend it, because there isnt much else out there from a reputable brand that does what the GO II does. But the software issues mean you really have to work to get the value out of it.

Ive been a videomic pro user for awhile and I have 3 of them. I was fortunate enough to be able to have the NTG sent to me to compare the microphones and Im SOLD. First off, the NTG sounds amazing which is the most important thing, but the versatility of the mic is what I think is the best selling point.Unlike the videomic pro that really just serves the purpose of being used as an on camera microphone, the videomic NTG has so many other purposes. The most useful feature to me is the fact that it has USB connection to the computer and it can be used as a USB microphone. This comes in handy when I travel as I now have a great little voiceover or podcast microphone on the road that connects directly to the computer. Its also great for video chats via zoom to use that microphone as the source instead of web cam. I love this mic and Im a huge fan.

I believe this is my 6th set of wireless lav mics, including the original Rode Wireless GO set and this is hands down the best value and the smartest set. I loved my original set and was using it contentedly but as soon as they announced that I could have two transmitters and that everything would record IN THE MIC, I was sold. Im a full time YouTuber and, having lost recordings due to static, interference and more, I knew that the onboard recording feature alone was enough to save me hours of potential frustration and was a game changer. I have been using these for a couple of months now since they came out and would highly recommend them to anyone. The sound quality is excellent and the software is simple and easy to use though you likely will rarely need it. I use a separate lapel mic with the transmitter because I dont want the whole transmitter showing in the video. I also use a 3D Printed TShirt mic holder. I have yet to lose a single bit of audio from either my first gen or second gen Wireless GOs, which is impressive. Dont hesitate buy these

This couldnt have been easier to setup and use and my audio was dramatically improved right out of the gate was previously using a SmartLav attached to my phone. I paired it with my SmartLav mic and the Rode TRS adapter to conceal it on a subjects lapel and it worked perfectly then recorded through my Sony A7III.One thing to note, it is worth downloading the Rode Central app on your computer and adjusting a few settings before beginning mainly the always record setting for internal backups and the flag buttons.

Ive owned several mics for video production and going for wireless mics has been a game changer for me. My first was the Rode Filmmaker wireless mic set and I used it extensively with bow issues. This new Wireless Go version is honestly a step up from the bulk the previous versions had. Its pocket sized, easy to set up and the included internal mic works great in my small studio. This mic is exactly what I have been hoping to find for so long. I bought it mainly for my video setup at my desk. I dont like having a mic in my shot and my older rode shotgun mic wasnt USB. My laptop didnt recognize it as a mic, plus it relied on a battery.This NTG mic is PERFECT The sound is great. The mic isnt in my shots. It is USB so it makes editing a breeze since the video and audio is already in sync, it chargable, has a gain dial, and it turns on and off automatically when plug in the USB cord into your computer.It is exactly what I have been trying to find for years.

I love all of the concepts of this on paper, but1. It says up to 32 bit float recording, but the unit only records at 24bit. You can output from the Rode Central app at 32 bit float.2. I own two of these units, and transmitters from one set crossed with receiver from another. This created unusable audio on the camera side. The internal audio was usable, but had clicks and other noise artifacts that were difficult to amend.Hopefully these issues will be fixed in firmware updates.

Rodes Videomics have long been somewhat of an entry level standard. The newer NTG model pics up where they left off with the Videomic Pro and adds some new incredibly valuable features.I bought this mic to use as the new audio source for YouTube videos. It replaced a very good Sennheiser lav mic setup. The sound quality that you get from the NTG is extremely impressive. The mic is well built, with an all aluminum shell. The buttons and knobs are all quality as well.The thing that really separates this mic from the pack aside from sound quality is its ability to be used as a computer mic with a USBC cable. This allows you to have an incredible sounding mic for podcasts or zoom meetings. Or in my case use the same mic for voice overs and talking head shots in my videos.The NTG crushes mics like the Blue Yeti, and similarly priced USB condenser mics in terms of sound quality, while also sounding even better as a typical boom mic. Its really an incredible value.

I have no idea what this sounds like, but apparently its fantastic. I ordered this when I needed to quickly up my Zoom game, and all I had time to do was unpack it, set it up and start a meeting. And so far, Ive had nothing but compliments on my audio. It really was plugandplay as a USB mic, turning on immediately upon connection with my desktop computer, and being able to dial in the right gain level from the back is just genius. Its extremely light and the sliding platform below the red shockmount is also a brilliant design touch.Ive got great hopes and plans for using this oncamera, and Ive found the RDE Dead Cat windscreen for the original Videomic Pro is a perfect fit over the black foam windscreen for complete outdoor windproofing. I also love that it seems to have been designed with the RDE Go setup in mind, turning this into a perfect wireless directional boom or stand mic, in this weird new world of distancing. I am a voice over artist from the Dallas area. I bought this microphone for my home studio where I record professional works, as well as practice. The first thing I noticed on this microphone was the build quality. Compared to previous Rode mics, the NT1 has a quality weight to it that really speaks for its durability. The black ceramic finish is cool to the touch and looks very sleek. Coupled with the SMR shockmount, the NT1 microphone is a sleek, sexy looking microphone that performs as well as it looks. The audio from this microphone is amazing, providing crisp and clear audio from any source youre recording. The Rode NT1 provides a unique sound with bright highs, solids mids, and warm lows, it covers the whole spectrum and sounds very natural. My only two complaints both come from the new SMR shockmount. 1. The included pop filter, though very sleek, is not always effective. It does a fantastic job about 95 of the time, but occasionally some breath can get through, especially if you are doing an excited voice over. 2. The SMR shockmount is EXTREMELY effective and offers amazing external noise isolation with the Rycote Lyre suspension system. However, it lacks the ability to swivel left or right, which if you are trying to work in smaller quarters, may prove unwieldy. I myself have space to work with, so it really isnt a big issue, but it is something you should consider. Ultimately, even with these two gripes, this set up is still absolutely amazing. The deal you get here is astonishing and offers up professional studio sound quality.

I picked this up for my remote workstation, now that coronavirus has me working permanently from home. Working with a headset all day quickly became annoying. This shotgun mounted over my monitor picks up my conversation very well. Im using a pair of Audioengine2 desktop speakermonitors with it with no echo to my videoconference team. It will hotshoe to my camera if were ever allowed outside again, so itll have a great dual use.Pick up a gopro sticky mount and you can just mount it right onto the top back of your monitor so that you dont need a boom arm or tripod,. Keep it up off your desk and out of the way.

After used Rode VideoMic NTG for about 2 weeks, I see the consistent high quality of the sound when I did some videos. I used 150 noice filter, that worked extremely well to make the background noise dispersed. I use it as external mic for My Panasonic camera. Combined these two devices, professional videos were making.

I can sum up my review by saying that I dont know who should buy this microphone. Is it for beginners or more advanced audio junkies The user may end up frustrated, as I am.Im not an audio expert by any means, so this review wont go into a lot of depth on the technical aspects.I was hoping to see some reviews before I bought this but didnt, so I wanted to get the ball rolling. Hopefully my review will be of some use.My interest is primarily recording the sounds of landscapes, including birds. I dont have high expectations with a 250 mike but I wanted to put some effort into improving sound so its better than what the cameras builtin mike records.This mike kit is very nice. It feels solid and is easy to use out of the box.I like that the charging cable has an actual clothvelcro cable tie rather than wire. Thats a nice touch.The charging cable does not come with the adapterplug, which was not a problem since most of us have several of those lying around.After charging the mike my first use of this was at a park, to record some bird sounds on my phone. The included audio cable did not fit into my phone with the case on. Fortunately, I ordered separately a 4 cable which fit into my phone in its case.The mike did well.Next, I came home and looked at the quick start guide.It wasnt very useful. Its in pictures with no text. It explains how to plug in the cables and use the switches, but does not explain what the switches do.My annoyance is the lack of detail about what the various controls do. Yes, a quickstart guide will be basic but thats all you get.This is an entrylevel mike, so Im sure people who buy this may not know much about audio, like me. They wont learn anything from the quickstart guide.It would be great if the Rode website had some info about recording terms to help novices like me. And the quickstart guide could refer users to that web page.People who know and care deeply about audio will probably buy something with more control, at a higher price point.People who spend only 250 are likely beginners who could use some assistance.My thinking is if the beginners knew where to turn for information they may be more likely to buy higher end more expensive gear.At this point Ill do a little more research about sound and try to figure out what the controls offer. If I cant find any assistance someplace Ill probably return the mike and get one with no controls thats a lot cheaper.

After detailed research Ive found that the screen is scratched all over and used heavily. Really disappoint situation. Two receivers are completely new. Love the form factor of the Videomic NTG. Upping the quality from Rodes smaller video mics but reducing the bulk of proper NTG mics to a happy mid point thats as happy on your rig as it is on a boom.Its especially sweet on a boom pole teamed with the Wireless GO.Only shot with it a couple of times so far but quality seems awesome and the gain control is super handy. All in all Im impressed.

Its so much quieter, and makes recording in my relatively acoustically untreated room easier. I use this for my audiobook recording work, and it does the job perfectly.1010 would recommend this mic.

I had the chance to try these out yesterday on a shoot for a short film. I love their size and ease of use. The sound quality is great I was using them with Rode Lavs, and the signal only dropped one time, very briefly, although I did not get more than about 50 yards from the actors. The battery life is good, but I dont think I got 7 hours out of them, more like 6. By far, my favorite feature is the ability to record directly to the transmitters in addition to what Im capturing on my recorder. In the event of a dropout, Ive got a backup file ready to go. Love that I have the original Wireless Go also, and its good too, but this one is definitely an improvement. After I got these, I put my UHF mics on eBay, and theyre barely a year old.

Bought it back in February but finally had the chance to really test it out and most of my audio was unuseable because of the constant white noise hissing soundlike in all my footage. I have been enjoying my Rode VideoMic NTG. The sound is very clear and highly directional. My favorite feature is the manual gain dial on the back, which is great for adjustments while recording. It has a great compact size and form factor. A great addition to any camera.

The original RODE wireless Go mic was amazing but the new one GO II are near perfect Id go as far to say one of the best wireless mics on the market. Not only can you now have TWO mics going into one receiver but you can use the mics as standalone recorders too Plus the Rode app which is free makes it all work so well. This is a terrific mic. I bought a 100 noname version that was hideous. The sound quality is excellent. The range is not huge, but realistic, especially in line of sight. Its not a surprise that it comes with two fuzzy windscreens because they dont attach to the mic very well. In fact, they dont attach very well at all. I still recommend this unit. Its light and effective You will likely need a TRS to TRRS adapter cable, in addition to a TRRS to Lightening cable to make a current version Iphone or Ipad work

But this goes so far beyond that basic requirement with the ability to store audio on the transmitter mics and so much more. And at that price point, its pretty much the perfect solution for us runny gunners and onemanbands. The audio quality is also quite good.

Super happy with these. So far it has been the best setup for me when using my Ronin S. Other products have been too big and bulky to be able to use the Ronin. The built in mics are the greatest, but I paired them with the Senal UTM8635H lavaliers and it works amazing. Battery life so far has been fantastic as well.

When I get it to work, the sound it awesome.I bought all the extra connectors to make it for sure work with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. We do a lot of social media video posts, lives and more. We are also looking to expand on YouTube. The Wireless Go II seemed perfect for the jobThe issue is I tried the iPhone port to USBC port for audio recording, did not work. Customer service told me its not supposed to work, but Im pretty sure I just watched a video saying its supposed to. I also bought the proper Rode adapter to plug my iPhone in via a dongle. I e tried it grey side into dongle into iPhone. I even tried it. The wrong way to see if I was going nuts.Ive been back and forth with customer service for weeks now too. Part of that is my fault, but seriously its just not working how its advertised for me. Super frustrating when everyone else is RAVING I just want to rave about this mic, yet theres something off.I can however get it to work great with my LUMIX G7 camera. So for my online courses, its awesome. I have ran into major feedback high pitched buzzing issues though. Ive found I need to turn the camera on, plug in the mic, then turn in receiver and then turn on mics in order to prevent this feedback distortion. If I do it in any other order I get a hard to edit out high pitched buzzing sound. So Id recommend testing and listening before every recording to make sure you dont have a bad buzz to attempt to edit out. Or worse, annoy your live audience

Its amazing how much has been addedimproved from the original. The mics sound great with and without a lavaliere. The deadcats secure nicely now. Summed mono and stereo pair is a great addition. The range is insane, even with other 2.4Ghz networks around and even if there was an issue theres onboard recording storage too. Ive been using it for a few weeks now and absolutely love it

Im really impressed by so much of what this tiny wireless mic has to offer. First, it allows you to connect 2 wireless mics to one receiver on your camera. They can easily be either mono or 2 channel left and right. The easily pair to each other and the receiver is very tiny and can attach to your camera, adding minimal weight or bulk. The alligator clip on the back of the transmittermicrophones makes it perfect for run and gun. You just clip it on your talentinterviewee and start recording. The windscreens are easy to attach to the mic, stay on well. You also have the option of adding a wired lav to each transmitter to make the mic footprint even smaller. The only thing I dont like so far is the very large logo on the face of the two receivers. I realize RODE wants everyone to know this is their product, but Id like to decide if I want their advertising in my videos. I covered their logo with black paper. It makes the largish mics less obtrusive. Great product.

About 6 months ago I bought the Comica Boom XD system as it supported two transmitters and the originally Rode Wireless Go did not. The Comica is not bad but has interference issues that I cannot seem to get past. The few events I have done with it were hit or miss where I had drops or buzzing interference on some of my other microphones if they were too close to the receiver.When the Rode Wireless Go II came out, and I saw it had improved range and on transmitter recording, and I jump on it. The audio quality is good. Get yourself a good lav if you want to improve that. The range is excellent though. And I like the fact that they made the devices upgradable. Two weeks ago they came out with a firmware upgrade that starts recording on the Transmitters as soon as you turn them on. So now you can use the transmitters as a makeshift field recorder as well.Overall, I am very impressed with the WGII for the price. Its a nice, compact tool that I just carry with me all the time now.

When I made an initial recording with this microphone on my Canon EOS 70D, I was surprised to find there was a soft background hiss. This could be edited out with digital software but nothing I did with the microphone removed it. I knew it was not my camera because I have used a Rode MicroCompact without any problem. The microphone is going back for replacement. I want to complement technical support for being extremely easy to work with and very helpful. I am certain this problem will be solved and I would not hesitate to purchase from this company again.

very balanced in terms of capturing lows, mids, and highs, only tried recording vocals so far but seems very solid. Im surprised this kind of condenser mic is on the cheaper side, pleasantly surprised by the value. it is also built very well, is sturdy, and the kit comes with everything it says it will come with nt1 mic fabric pouch to keep it protected from dust when not using, shock mount, pop filter, and xlr cable the only negative I will mention was that the box that held all the items the actual product box, not the delivery cardboard box was slightly torn and such, but no damage to anything inside. besides that, all is good with this kit.

I called in and asked a sales rep for help on what to purchase. After a few questions to get an idea of what uses I needed it for, they suggested this one, and since I already own a Rode USB mic I figured it was a perfect fit. However, the reason I didnt give 5 stars is, I didnt realize, nor was I told, it doesnt include the mic that you cord into the device and clip onto your shirt. I was a little disappointed since I was expecting that.

Option to record safety track at lower gain same audio on leftright channel but one channel recorded at lower gain. Some contexts such as recording piano may need to apply 20dB pad option. Built in Mic amplification via well designed rotating dial is easy to adjust.

We bought this specifically for use in a recording environment where it needed to be plugged directly into a Macbook Pro for recording. The fact that it can do that as well as sit on top of my camera or a boom pole is great. Very versatile…and the sound quality youd expect from Rode.

I dont find this to be a wildly versatile setup but for a stupid simple 2person audio setup, its a dream. Great battery life, they pair super easy, and they are easy enough to stash on a set. The lapel mic option is great as well for live stream interviews. So far so good

Before getting the Wireless Go 2, I used the VideoMicro. A great little microphone but tricky to setup. My camera doesnt have a flip screen, so its tricky to find the correct audio level when I want to film myself in front of the lens. The Wireless Go 2 solves this since the audio level is the same no matter where I am, as long as its in line of sight. Quality is great and theres a whole range of settings on this small piece of kit. You do need to connect them to your computer and the Rde Central app there to unlock some of these features.At first, I was wondering why there was only sound in the left channel. Later, I noticed the left channel was fine and the right channel was very silent. Thats the safety setting where it records one channel at 20 dB and is easy to fix in most editing apps.Its also really nice to know that the transmitters save hours of recordings as a backup. With the latest firmware thats not just over 24 hours but actually around 40 hours compressed due to some tweaked settings by Rde. This shows how they are really working on their firmware to make this microphone even better than it already is. The Rde website also has a whole bunch of information on how to use the Wireless Go 2 in the Learning Hub. Well done

Seriously….if youve used the Wireless GO I this is a step up and allows for more features and ways to use it. The audio is great and for the price this unit is a steal. Does it have flaws Sure, but the flaws are pretty common across all wireless units drop offs at times, interference, etc…. Unless youre paying for high end professional audio rigs, the flaws are more how you use it and what you expect it to do. I make little to no money on my projects and do them mainly for fun and the RODE Wireless GO II is 100 unbeatable for the price, quality, and features.

So far, my favorite piece of gear Ive purchased this year. Lately, I use these primarily for live streaming my companys appearance at virtual events and tradeshows, and these have been a treat. Set to 30db and plugged into an ATEM Mini Pro, I havent had any peaking issues, or buzzing that other solutions have presented, and the audio sounds great. Would it be great to have a proper line out Yes. Can you manage without it Absolutrly.

Ive only used this once so far and Im looking forward to using it again. For the first time I filmed an interview in a fairly noisy environment. The mics did pick up background noise but the voices were prominent and clear. They were extremely easy to set up and use. Ill probably get another set.

I have a Canon Vixia HF G40 which I ordered this microphone for. I couldnt get the first one to work at all. All buzz and clicking. After going online with Rode and working with them they suggested I return it which I did and got another one. I could get sound with the second one but it had a constant repeating clicking noise I could not get rid of. I returned this on too and spoke with technical support at BH and they suggested the Azden SMX30 which worked right away out of the box. Not sure if was a compatibility issue with the Canon or the microphone but it didnt work for me.

Even though I gave the rose worked go 2 five stars I actually cant use this for what I purchased it for, which was for teaching on zoom. And its not a simple new cable solution. And Gerard at Mannys today really helped me find some other possible solutions. He was so great. And I just want to say, as a woman I have been ignored and mansplained at so many DJ stores over the years. But each time I go to Mannys for some advicetechnologycablesequipment they are so nice, so chilled, so clear, and so helpful. I wouldnt go anywhere else. I Very highly recommend this store. I just love this unit I have done a few comparison test with my Rode Videomic pro and feel there is a noticeable improvement in audio. Rich clear voice and isolated ambient sound with the options for decreasing the noise floor.The extra thought that went in to this unit hasnt gone unnoticed. The build is more robust than the above prementioned.Noise isolation via the mount is also an improvement. I intend to use this mic for run and gun and the occasional wireless option attached to a boom.

This mic is warm, yet true to the voice. Great on guitars, drum overheads, percussion, and just about anything else you can throw at it except liquids, youll want to avoid those. The double stage metal aluminum pop filter works like a charm. Get your face right in it and it will take all your voice can project. A little air and a little sparkle are already there not much needed to make this mic shine. Only drawback I would say is that the shockmount does transfer some low frequency rumble due to its construction material. If you have a vocalist or someone who isnt great on avoiding a standboom arm or brushing up against the mount, youll definitely want to aggressively high pass the rumble. That being said, the issue is with the shockmount, not the mic. I love this mic. Youll be glad you picked one up.

I have to say I was skeptical at first but this little wireless kit has been great so far. Dependable connections that are clean and have a pretty good range. I use this kit with my iPhone 12 Pro for clean splitchannel audio AND the backup audio the RX records. The only reason it doesnt get the 5th star is the lack of an included USBC to Lightning. I had to purchase the one from Rode for my unit to connect with iOS.

white color is perfect for wedding dress or white shirts to slightly mask the unit.Small, easy placement with no Lav wires if not desired. The transmitter has a built in mic, and a slot for a 18 mini TRS. I do recommend using the optional rode LAV in white, as the built in transmiter mic can be noisey and less body than a LAV. it does come with a wind screen, but defeats the purpose of the white color if used.receiver has a gain control 5 stages with a meter, and display indicates connections. it automatically links to transmitter and avoids other units. i have 2 units, one black and one white. and never have issues using both. both input on transmitter and output on receiver are TRS and have an included TRS cable to attache receiver to mini input on cam or computer. if using with most android phones, you will need a TRS o TRRS adaptor for phone input.. both transmitter and receiver have spring clups and are super light. easy to use with video camera. i havent had any issues with dropouts… all line on sight. within 50 feet or so.

First of all Im not going to tell you how good it sounds or how easy to use this is, because like all the other RODE products I own it sounds amazing and works great. But there are a couple small things that are worth mentioning. When I tried to slide the cold shoe mount of the transmitter into the bottom of the shock mount of the Videomic NTG as featured in the product release video it was a tight fit. So tight in fact that it scraped off some of the plastic on the cold shoe mount see attached picture. Another possible issue is that the blue LEDs on the transmitters are very bright so if you try to conceal the microphone underneath clothing like a tshirt, it might shine through. Nothing some tape couldnt fix but just something to be aware of. Otherwise, I have been super impressed with the microphone so far, and if I encounter any issues I will make sure to update this post. So far these microphones have worked and sounded great. I have found them extraordinarily versatile. RODE thank you for listening to your customers, and I am excited to see some of the creative uses you all have for this microphone.

I really want to love this mic system, its so close to perfect. I used it with success on my Olympus EM1mkiii and it works great. I especially love being able to use one or two transmitters so seamlessly. The screen is perfect, the size is perfect, its very user friendly without the need to read a user manual each time you use it.I just picked up a Sony A7Siii and I was very excited about the higher quality audio preamp in the Sony so I can record cleaner sound straight into camera. The Olympus is not great for audio quality, but its designed primarily for photos, so I understand.Back to the SonyRODE, I started doing tests with this new RODE setup and the audio is useless when recorded into the A7Siii. I tried every combination and settings I could manage to get clean audio, and I had no luck. The only combination that improved audio quality was to remove the RODE from the hot shoe and plug it into camera with a 6ft 2m extension cable. Even then, the Olympus audio was far cleaner. Obviously Im dealing with some sort of interference issue.I contacted RODE directly, andR RDE MicrophonesJun 18, 2021, 551 AM GMT10Hello,Thanks for the message. What you are experiencing is RF interference as the port on the Sony A7III we have seen, is not shielded enough to eliminate the frequency from the antennas in the Wireless systems as it was not specifically designed for use with wireless systems. I understand that RODE cannot test with every camera in the world, however, the A7Siii was the most anticipated video camera of 2020. The RODE wireless II was released in early 2021. So one of two things happened.1. RODE had a serious oversight and didnt test with the A7Siii. Low probability2. RODE found the problem before they released the GOII, and sold the product to us anyway. Only to state the problem was that Sonys camera was not specifically designed for use with wireless systems.Sorry RODE, but the wireless system should be designed to be used with the camera, not the other way around. The A7Siii was released before the GO II. Sadly, Ill most likely have to put this brand new RODE wireless GO II on eBay.

I expected very good, but this is amazing, what it doesfor me….so clean, so smooth, such headroom.They really went to work on this one…the freq response is almost ruler flat unlike the NT1A,so it is beefy and smooth on the lows, silky on the highs. The fuss about the NT1A as harsh up high though great for some people has been addressed…the spectrum is like the supper pricey mics.The lack of little tuning bumps also means you can EQ it to sound like other mics, without the sideeffect of aringing response. You can make a nice crisp NT1Aor a TLM102stalker by doing next to nothing..so good..the shockmount is compositive plastic, hiquality..no massive anchor of cast metal to tip over the tripod. The damping and vibration suppression testout thumpspectrum testing is way ahead of the stiff elasticbungy type. The metal popfilter sweetThere is the personal match too, of course…this just works with me on voiceovers so well..

A Rode Videomic NTG saved our indie feature film on a recent shoot in NYC…For interior scenes, we boomed an AudioTechnica AT4053B. We used an oncamera Rode Videomic NTG for backupscratch audio.The AudioTechnica AT4053B suffered terrible RF interference on our feature shoot in NYC, so bad it ruined the audio in two locations.The Rode Videomic NTG did not suffer any RF interference great engineering Rode, and saved the day.The Videomic NTG although not boomed boomed would have been much better, captured good, usable audio and saved our feature production A huge thanks to Rode.

This kit has so many perks and advantages over the old Senn G3, Im not sure what kind of argument you can make for not buying a couple of these. Ive been doing video production for 20 years. If you need 2 mono channels of audio recorded to your camera this is perfect. Weve been using a separate recorder connected via XLR for years and used other wireless units which all worked well, but the Rode GOII has been slick. Its been extremely simply to manage and the quality has been perfect for dialogue. I havent used it for anything else, but for dialogue its been worry free for us. Nice, purpose built product. Rick

I have a small YouTube channel concentrated on motorcycles and exercise. I have used remote mics in the past to record sound on a separate file with these devices. The limitations for me are post production editing complications and limitations on movement along with flexibility.The new Rode Wireless Go II solves most of these issues. I can now do interviews with two people. Record to a single file using the transmitter to receiver set up, and move around freely while VLOGGING. Plus when the receiver is input directly to my GoPro or Sony ZV1 also purchased from BH Camera I have a single file that contains visual plus audio information. Making post production editing easier.The range distance on these is remarkable. Plus I tried a walk around my house while recording in the garage and the sound was transmitted through walls and doors with no drop out or sound artifacts….most impressive.Highly recommended.

AS a USBonly interface, or 3.5mmonly interface the sound quality is acceptable.You cannot however charge it via USB while also sending sound out via the 3.5mm jack. An extremely loud static buzzing noise pollutes output.I tried replacing, but it happened on both items. Rode advised trying a factory reset, but that did not change anything.

Love this microphone, it has so many useful features and is super easy to use. I love the auto power feature, it has saved me a few times when I forgot to turn off the mic. I also love the versatility of this microphone, being able to connect it to my smart phone, desktop as well as my camera is a massive bonus. Not to mention the back up track It was a toss up between this and the Rode Video Mic Pro and Im glad I went with this one. I wish that it came with a little carry casepouch though.

I like the fact it comes with two 2 transmitters, but the kit is more expensive because of this than the original version which only had one 1 transmitter.Quick to setup and start recording. Basically turn on the transmitters and receiver, plug the receiver into your DSLR camera and you have a quality audio recording system now for your video. Super easy to use and lowprofile. Good battery life and units are rechargeable via USBC connection.For an onthego, lowprofile and quick audio recording system for your podcasts, 1 or 2person interviews and better than basic oncamera audio for your videos, this is a GREAT system.

Ive been recording in the music industry for decades. This microphone has the quality of something twice its price. I bought these for podcasting purposes and wanted a quality microphone but for a reasonable budget. It was between the RODE and Sure SM7B which most podcasters use. The Sure was close to double to price and the sound is similar. Also, since the RODE is a condenser, you can boost the output using phantom power. You cant with the Sure, you need a separate booster. Also, its sounds amazing for recording amps, vocals really good, and acoustic guitar. If you do not have the budget for a 1,000.00 microphone, this is a versatile workhorse.

An interview or conversation becomes 100 simpler. These have so many great features. They intimidate nonprofessionals less. I kept the Senn lavs, so if I wantneed that sound I can still get it. I got this mic because of its feature set and all the positive reviews. I have now used it on 2 feature films and 2 short films, plus several commercials and promos. It is easy to use, the sound quality is excellent, and the battery life is amazing. It can do a 12 hour production day with no issues whatsoever, over and over again.Since it is so light and also works with my Rode Digital Filmmaker wireless kit, I have been using it as a wireless boom mic for interviews now that lav mics are beyond most subjects comfort level. I also like that the fuzzy windscreen is so small and compact compared to the Video Mic Pro . I do a lot of work that involves trekking with a backpack that has to hold all of my gear, so anything that reduces space is very much appreciated.

I bought the Rode Wireless Go 2 to work with my Gh5 and there in digital interference on the left audio channel. I contacted Rode about it and here was their response It looks like your model camera is susceptible to external RF interference due to poor internal shielding. One way to confirm this issue is by moving the receiver from and to the sides of your camera. If you pick up more noise when getting closer, its mostly due to your cameras input. You will most likely experience the same issue using any wireless microphone system.The Rode Wireless Go 2 is a great little system its just not compatible with my GH5. I feel Rode should a warning on their website about this. And Im typing the review to help future buyer beware.

Its the easiest wireless mic I have. Just plug them in and they work. I had to reduce the output level but thats it. I love being able to see the transmitters battery level on the receivers display. Thats a luxury feature my other wireless mic 3x the cost doesnt have. No interference during my first shoot that lasted 3 hours. The only thing I noticed is the audio is delayed a little. When I was setting this up I thought there was an echo turned out the live audio plus the delayed output of this mic made it sounded like an echo. When I played it back there is no echo.I also love how small the transmitter is. Its easy to hide and with a builtin mic as well.The item I received look like it wasnt well packaged. There were scratch marks on the device turned out the scratch marks were on the peeloff tape. But there are some dirt markings on the side and they dont peel off. The box was sealed so I dont know how the dirt markings got there.

I was looking for an inexpensive microphone for setting up a zoom yoga class. After reading several reviews, I settled on the Rode system. It was the least expensive system which was reported to be of good quality. It was easy to set up and has worked very well with the built in mic. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a wireless mic system which produces excellent sound quality at a reasonable cost.

I think I speak for all bedroom producers and home recording singers.The NT1 is the mic if you want to sing or fresh up your songs with vocal tracks. The response is amazing as is the quality of the sound the NT1 is recording.Do you need a mic for record singing, vocals, rap or etc, you cant be wrong with the NT1.

About the only negative I have so far is that they cant take AA batteries. The batteries themselves last for several hours and the meter on the receiver keeps you aware of the battery levels but when they die you have to charge them and either have a backup ready or just wait. Otherwise the slim profile is fantastic. I can actually mic 2 people for my DSLR setup with one receiver, and for the money it really cant be beat.

I also purchased the Rode Lavalier microphones that plug in, there is only a mild quality boost. You primarily benefit from the ability to hide the mic.

The USB functionality is flawless and added value to a good on camera mic. The sound recording quality is what you expect from RODE and it sets new standards.

I love the functions of this set. It has nearly everything you could want from an affordable wireless setup. One of the most game changing options is the builtin internal recording into the transmitters. Unfortunately, my first set has proven to be faulty and unreliable for this function. I was recording some interviews and when I went to pull the recording from one of the transmitters, one file was scrambled and glitchy, and take didnt record at all. Luckily I was recording the receivers output into a pocket recorder so I still have something to work with, but if youre hoping to use the internal recording as your primary I believe its the cleanest recording option since it records digitally into the transmitter vs using the analog output of the receiver into a recorder which has additional preamp noise reliability is now in question. Thankfully I found out before my 30 day return window and hoping my second set does not have this same problem.

The sound quality of these exceeded my expectations. While I was not looking forward to their visual presence on camera, they were actually a bit smaller in real life than in the product photoswhich was a huge perk. I had a shoot where I need four people on camera and only had these two mics. I placed each on the table in front of the subjects, spaced between them and the capture was terrific. Of course, with that scenario, ambient noise was more prevalent but the audio was more than usable and crisp. I only wish at least at the time I purchased these that they came as a kit with the matching Rode lavs.

The new Rode Wireless Go 2 is a game changer and life saver. Most of the time I am a single run and gun shooter. Recently I had a two camera shoot and needed my Rodes for audio. I used two Wireless Go setups. Long story short, my B cam stopped recording and I didnt catch it until later during the shoot. Luckily my Rode was set to record on the transmitter and all my audio was available for editing. That saved my rear. I trust these babies 100. I hope Rode continues to add more features like one receiver to control more than two transmitters. That would be awesome

The firmware update process was easy, just go to Rodes website. Set it up to work with iPhone 12 and its been amazing so far.IMPORTANT You should know Shotgun mics to not pull sound from long distances, they block sound coming from the sides.The controls are great, and Rode has some simple short videos explaining them. The safety track is so cool, the ability to directly monitor the sound levels, the easy frequency amplificationscuts.Im not a pro but this mic makes people think I am. And that is what is most important….. s

Easy to use. So many failsafes. Clients cant break them like they tend to break my lav mics.The only complaint I have is that they are unimaginably sensitive. Im using the lowest possible setting 30db on the unit because at even 27db they pick up even the sound of the clients fingers rubbing against each other.

Ive ordered through b and h for years and had nothing but great experience. Fast shipping and great quality items, even their used equipment. I ordered this mics and when they came the box had a towel with two rubber weights in them. This is disappointing for two reasons. I need mics for a project tomorrow and now I have no mics and secondly its clear this was a used item and when it was returned they didnt check that the mics came back with the box. B and H sold me a used unit without my knowledge thinking they could pass it off as new. Now I have to try and return a product without even having the product.

Best audio purchase ever Ive been burdened with the weight and clumsiness of 2 wireless transmitters mounted to my camera but now I have this tiny 2 channel receiver that I dont even notice. Love that it internally records as a backup and I can send clients audio files for review. And no more 9 volt batteries

So far I have used these mics for a documentary, wedding, personal work, and just testing. The mics are very clean and pretty user friendly. I did have one problem but it was just a software thing and one less then 5min call from rode and everything was fixed. For on the go stuff I love how small and light they are too.

I own 1st version of this Rode Wireless and I film a lot to my Youtube Channel. But it was not enough for interview. Now there are totally new approach to it. Love it Record channel separately for each transmitter and as a result two channel for each person markers which you can match for perfect lipsync with ability to put it manually backup channel with 20DB less level in case of recording in wind my caseThank you for so professional system
