Dont expect constant high speeds its reasonable but rarely gets above 90MBs other memory drives in the same computer are far faster but to be fair more expensive too. Heat they run HOT. I was actually surprised at how hot the unit felt in use so I got my meter out with the following results… Ambient room temperature 16 Centigrade Just having the device plugged in to a USB 3 port for a couple of minutes without accessing it I was reading 42 centigrade. 2 minutes into writing data to the stick, speed was averaging 40MBs and the temperature was up to 65 centigrade. This appears to be because of the tiny size of the stick a nice advantage if youre carrying it on a key chain and the mainly metal construction. Overall its OK. Especially for the price of around 25. The heat is somewhat alarming and I dont think Id feel comfortable leaving it plugged in whilst unattended for any length of time. Speed could be better but again for the price Im not going to complain too much.

Ive always used SanDisk memory cards. Ive never had any issues with them. If they wont read then you just need to reformat them and youre good to go. Ive used many of them over the years for my phone and tablet. I do recommend this brand if youre looking for a reliable memory card.

I formatted this deeply so as to stress it. No failure in that regard.Did have a PNY USB stick fail after I formatted it out of the box, so thats why I always try to stress new storage with a deep format when I get it.The loop is weak plastic, so unlike the Samsung competition.But this drive works well as storage.The plastic loop is weak enough no, I have not broken it but Im sure I could quite easily that Id not purchase an USB stick from this Sandisk line again.Samsung makes the loops out of the metal of the case. Id lost my Samsung USB stick, so bought this as a replacement. Then I found the Samsung under a chair.

This ScanDisk 256GB portable drive looks good, compact and has a big clearance for threading a lanyard. However, I was shocked to see very poor write speed, when I try to copy and paste files about 1GB on an average. The speed never exceeded 10MBs. Read speed, however, is about 20 MBsec. I tried these tasks by inserting this USB drive directly to a SS USB port of my Dell Optiplex 9020 computer running on an Intel i7, 3.4 GZ Quad speed desktop. Many USB 2.0 thumb drives are much faster, up to 14 MBs wright and 20 MBs read speeds.

At such a great bargain i had to have one to reduce the amount of 16GB 32GB flash drives in my collection , now my many thousands of photos are in one secure place . I purchased this product to create a Win 8.1 system backuprecovery on it. I was skeptical buying a32GB flashdrive on ebay for under 10, so I wanted to check the usable storage capacity on it as soon as it arrived. Using the h2testw program which was written to show the true memory size of flash drives and sd cards, i found that the amount of usable storage on my new 32GB Sandisk Flair USB Flash Drive was 29,294 MB approx. 29.3 MB which verifies that this card indeed has the amount of memory it claims to have. the small amount of unaccounted memory in that result is being taken up by the security option program included on the flashdrive. I would recommend this seller to a friend with good confidence that they would receive authentic and accurately labelled merchandise from this seller.

Firstly, it is compact and has a modern design. An almost metallic surface feels great to touch. It offers a pretty decent speed for its price.On the other hand, the flash drive becomes hot everitime you connect it even though when you are not transferring any files. Anyway, the heat doesnt make it work slower or cause any performance issues.

I was not expecting too much from this and I was not disappointed in my expectations.The images show this flash drive formatted as FAT32 with default allocation unit size, NTFS and exFat formatting resulted in much poorer results, in particular the write speed which was about 110 of the Fat32 write speed. The first image shows results with USB 3.0 Boost Asus whereas the other image that is set to Normal mode 120.6MBs 15.94MBs compared with 98.25MBs13.89MBs.The write speed is pretty poor much slower than most of my other flash drives, even the same priced Verbatim 32GB Store n Go v3, third image gives around 80MBs read 35MBs write which is more than twice the write speed and not too much lower read speed. That is twice the size too. The forth image is a Sandisk Extreme Go 64GB flash drive, NTFS formatted which cost me 26 about 7 months back, they are now only 17.99 on Amazon. It is much faster but the Ntfs formatting is slowing it down because it is meant to have 150MBs write speeds and Ntfs does seem to really slow down write speeds.Overall this drive is okay if your hard up, providing you do not do much writing to it. Some of the other benchmarks do suggest that the speed is very variable and my results come in lower than the stated speeds 130MBs. It might be okay to use as a Windows install flash drive because it does offer fairly quick read speeds and requiring a limited amount of writes. I would still use an Extreme Go flash drive.

Sandisk ultra flair 32gb mem sticks.Wow.. these are fast as hell on a usb3 port.I started transferring audio files, 1 x 80mgb copy and paste about 2 seconds.I thought that was fastTried 6 x 80mgb files about 7 seconds.Tried a 900gb video file, about 7 seconds againI stopped testing anymore. Ive bought usb mem sticks before but never had this sort of performance. This is the first time I run into a problem with Sandisk products. At some time I got a message read only disk. All my attempts failed to use terminal commands and some utilities to change read only disk to readwrite. Reformatting did not work either. Besides the disk was getting VERY hot when it was working.

This is a nice, sleek, and compact flash drive with a curved end to attach to a lanyard or carabiner. I like that the drive has Secure Access software on it, allowing you to create a secure vault with a password so if you lose the drive no one can access your files. It has has 16 GB of space which is plenty for average documents. The read speeds are up to 130 MBs. Compared to my old drive, this one is definitely faster to both store and access the saved files.

THIS IS NOT A USB 3 FLASHDRIVE. Connected to a USB 3 port, transfer rates on 1.5 GB of data averaged 4.67 MBsec. This is slower than 4.75 MBsec on a cheap generic USB 2 flashdrive, and 8.2 GBsec on an old SanDisk USB 2 metal flashdrive. The test was done on two separate units purchased from different vendors. The product is a complete, falsely advertised junk.

I dont normally publish IOPS figures because merely stating those figures is meaningless without being able to control the size of the packets and latencies involved during the measuring. Different packet sizes and Queue Depths will lead to markedly different IOPS figures, and I dont have a benchmarking software or arrangement to measure all of those factors anymore. Im not complaining about getting 20 MBs under the advertised read speed because thats the nature of buying electronics. They may be made in hightech facilities with margin of error measured in microns, but the random nature of, well, nature means that not all devices will perform consistently with each other. Like with CPUs, flash and SSDs can overperform its stated specs or underperform its all in the luck of the draw. Im not seeing any behavior that would indicate flash or controller failure, either. Like almost all modern flash drives, this came formatted in exFAT from the factory, which may cause compatibility issues with older Unixbased OS. Its better to format it in FAT32 which limits you to 4GB transfer files or NTFS for maximum compatibility with those OS. And depending on how large the sector sizes are during the format I think it was 4096kB from the factory, your file size on the drive versus its reporting file size may differ. Dont be alarmed by a 1.7 MB file taking up 1.72 MB on the drive, thats because of the size of the sector chosen during the drives formatting.

Well, what can I say It works as it should. The design is elegantly beautiful. one tip though, I could not get it to work with my Apple MacBook Pro, I thought I needed a larger GB… maybe 64 or 128… but luckily I found out that I needed to format it in order to make the files fit in here 16GB… it was recommended to me to format it in EXFAT because I was told that could be used in Mac or Windows… after doing that the small file which was 5GB fit in after all.WARNING if you format you will erase anything stored in the USB, make sure to transfer any files you might want to keep to a safe place before erasing them, after the formatting you can transfer them back again. SanDisk 16GB Ultra Flair USB 3.0 Flash DriveThe flash drives are great.I purchased 2 one loaded with a portable operating system Ubuntu Desktop and the second my Windows 10 installer.The performance of Ubuntu running from the flash drive in a USB 3.0 port is great, even with USB 2.0 I can perform all the tasks I need perfectly fine.Installing Windows 10 is a breeze, especially when built on an SSD drive the whole process is significantly faster.Both are kept on my lanyard as they have decent size loop for attachment. Theyre also a slim profile avoiding issues where theres limited space on busy USB ports on desktops and hubs. The build quality is good, they come in different colours, theyre FAST, well priced and reliable.I did have one concern though initially the body is most part made from metal and when is heavy use they get extremely hot. That hot its difficult to handle and a bit of a shock if you forget the temperature and eject them from the machine by the metal surfaces. I have used the Ubuntu disk for extended sessions of 8 hours Ive never noticed a decline in performance or any disfigurement of the drive itself. I have had drives that get hot before not to this level but theyre usually housed in a plastic shell. I can only assume that a. its a design flaw b. its an integral part of the design to disperse the heat generated.Ive been using these for a couple of months now, so its not something I worry about but just be aware that they get rather hot.Ive run some performance tests which you can view in the attached video, and theyre detailed below for both USB 3.0 USB 2.0Tests USB Deview, a small utility for managing USB devices with a feature to execute speed test for both read write. Transferring a 546mb MP4 file from my SSD machine to the flash disk, then transferring the same file back to the desktop. The design is very minimal, not much space for labels. Its solid construction but not keyring material. The included encryption software is simple and useful. Write speeds can be a bit slow in a Windows 7×64 environment depending on the file types and sizes. Encryption speeds are slow as well. Hopefully this is an indication of the encryption qualitysecurity. Its read speed is where it shines video files play smoothly all the way through and huge amounts of data can be pulled in a flash.

Ive owned two of these drives an my experience has been consistently negative.The second drive was purchased under the assumption that perhaps the issue lay with a defect.Works well for small file transfers that dont stress the drive too much.Any consistent write destroys the drive.Example being a sequential write of 850MB of data, after which the drive was almost too hot to touch. The data quickly became corrupt and the drive, whilst still recognised as a USB device, fails to allow reinitialisation, partitioning or formatting of any kind.A quick Google demonstrates that my experience is not an isolated one.Do not buy this drive, or any variant thereof.

This drive is so compact that maybe it should be called a pinkie drive rather than a thumb drive. I cant comment on the included software since I always reformat and use such drives as a clean slate. I will note that the drive gets rather warm very quickly. Other drives with plastic housings may generate as much heat, just not noticed as quickly due to the insulating effect of the plastic. This drive is metal and the heat is felt almost immediately. Perhaps this simply dissipates the heat faster. I havent loaded many files on it yet but at USB 3.0 speed it should be pretty handy.

This is a great USB flash drive. It fits in any port and does not bump into other things plugged in next to it. I dont need to use a short extension cable with this because it just fits. I set mine up so theyre bootable, and they are fast. They do get hot when they are running, and the metal body helps dissipate that heat. So far these seem more reliable than the other USB flash drives Ive had. Some of the ones Ive had have become corrupted especially if you have to read and write to it constantly, but these seem to be more stable. These work so well that Im going to get a few more.

Very slow readwrite speed through USB 3.0 . For example , writing speed for 10gb video starts at 70MBs for few seconds , but drops to 1015MBs , read speed starts at 130MBs for few seconds, and drops to about 5030MBs.Is plenty negative feedbacks on internet, just please check.Going to return back to store.Avoid.

Quite cheap for a decent 64GB USB 3.0 and the Seq Write speed was surprisingly quite fast for the price paid.In benchmarking, I saw the 150MBs Read just as advertised and 51MBs Write is very decent indeed and performed as well as expected when transferring large files. Of course, the actual transfer speeds would depend on the types of files and their compression you are transferring.I was transferring from a host machine with SATA 3 SSD and USB 3.0 port, so no bottlenecks to the device from that end.I do agree with some reviews that it does get hot over long transfer periods but not enough to bother me.Personally, I would go for higher models at larger capacities, pay slightly more for higher potential write speed drives but this was purchased for some family visiting from abroad, wanting some of my media and so superfast performance at a more premium price was not required.Pro Tip To increase performance, you can change the device hardware settings to Better Performance. To do this, go to Device Manager Disk Drives Properties of the Flash Drive, Policies tab, Change the Removal Policy from the default Quick removal to Better Performance also enabling the Write Caching option that then becomes selectable.I did not do this but If you are willing to use the Safely Remove Device option every time you unplug the flash drive, you can speed up its performance. Do read the infowarnings there too.

I bought two different sizes of these, its a nice small drive and it seems reasonably fast. I havent pushed it or tested it but it hasnt felt sluggish which is nice. I dont believe it has a light for activity. I wouldnt guarantee the plastic would keep it on a key ring so would recommend some sort of lanyard transition to take the stress off and hopefully reduce where through.

Wondering why the write speeds are conspicuously missing from the specifications page Thats because they are rather embarrassing and SanDisk would rather sell you the drive before you found out. The first 2GB of file transfers are 50MBs, which is actually not that bad. As soon as the data copy exceeds 2GB, speeds drop to a pretty consistent range between 8 and 12MBs. It takes a really long time to copy large files. I estimate a 40GB video will take 55 minutes to copy to the drive. Ugh. Dont buy this drive if you like to copy large files. Buy this drive because need capacity and encryption.

I would like to return this product as soon as bans are lifted. It is of no use to me.The setup procedure is too laboured, and the software companies behind this product demand I let them leave cookies on my computer. This is unacceptable for a product that is supposed to safeguard private information. SanDisk claims it is possible to sidetrack cookies, but it is an unnecessarily complex procedure so I am concerned they are embedded anyway.

Arrived quickly in original packaging that showed no signs of tampering so it was really brand new and as for the three questions above… Yes I believe it was good value. Is it reliable well so far so good but it is early days. The trouble with memory cards and sticks is you never know how reliable they are until they break. My previous SD card went kaput at around 10 years old losing me lots of valuable pictures so that one wasnt reliable. I am hoping this one will be reliable, or at least more reliable than the previous one… Is it fast I have no idea but it certainly seems fast enough for my old digital camera…

I bought this principally to plug into the USB socket on my TV so that it would permit me to pause live TV, record programmes, etc. Just plugged it in, nothing complicated to do I think TV formatted it. Does the job and, as best I can see based on some initial recordings, the 128Gb size will give me a similar number of hours TV recording capability, which for me is plenty. Good price.

Just one curiousity speed testing your SanDisk Ultra Flair USB 3 Flash Drive 32GB Using FlashBench yielded a 142 MBs read speed, but only a 26 MBs write speed. I have also a year old example of the same drive which measured 141 MBs read, and a stonking 101 MBs write speed. What is going on Have you got a bad batch

Every night before my kids go to bed I read books to them like Lord of the Rings, the Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, etc. For the past couple of years Ive been recording myself reading these stories so that they can have them someday in case they want them to share with their children, or once Im gone. The only problem is that those recordings take up a lot of space in my phone, and I wasnt sure what to do with them. I decided to use a few different methods, just in case, and the SanDisk Ultra Flair Flash Drive. I was able to add the files to my computer, and then seamlessly transfer them to my new flash drive. The only issue that I had is that I didnt realize exactly how many recordings that I had and 16GB wasnt quite enough. It did hold many hours of recordings, though, so Ill definitely be grabbing another one of these, but with a higher capacity for the rest of my recordings.

I was very surprised that the memory stick only works with some operating softwares. I tried it in my laptop from late 2015 normally updated and didnt work. so I had to use other one to put it on piece by piece, put it in an newer version mac and then put it on the stick from there. This should have been in the description of the product.

Its been awhile since I actually used it since now they dont make most phones with removable SD cards and also I have an older camera that I never use that took SD cards, because its just easier to use my phone to take pictures. But, I did like the SD cards because they stored everything and you could take them out go to the store and print all your pictures out or put the SD card into your computer or laptop and uploaded them into a file for storage and then put the SD card back in your device. I dont have a use for them now, but Im sure others still use them and they serve a purpose. They did for me at one time and I can say if I need them again I would use them.

I can take up to 9999 pictures when I turn my camera on, I take 100 and turn my camera off. when I turn it back on again, I can take 9999 again and this keeps happening every time I use it. I suppose it will keep doing this until the extra eight GBs are used and then the counter will start moving towards zero without any more resets to 9999. the pictures are very clear and I cannot fault it in any way. I would certainly recommend it, but if you are after a card for your digital camera it might be worth considering the biggest card available to you. it would hold so many pictures, I bet you would have a hell of a job trying to fill it up, but saying that I dont think ill ever fill this one up. the standard ten thousand is probably more than ive ever taken.

I have been using this dongle now from time to time, bought it a few months ago. I was planning on using it on my car media player, but had to buy another one from another brand. The reason This dongle gets REALLY hot. After just a few minutes plugged in without even reading or writing to it, it gets already hot.I should probably have returned it, but because it works I am keeping it for simple file transfers… but I regret that decision.I wouldnt buy it anymore. It might be fast and still working, but I dont feel comfortable with devices getting that hot. On a side note, when heat is being generated it means that substantial amount of electric current is being drawn as well… which makes me a bit nervous about my PCs USB ports.I have seen other reviews pointing out the same issue, so I guess it is not a faulty product but a faulty design maybe.

Most computers dont have optical drives anymore. Since I do some work building and repairing computers, I have a bunch of these and make them into bootable OS install drives or bootable systems I can use to test hardware. I have two for the most common versions of macOS, a few for Linux, and some for other operating systems. They are so tiny that you can keep a whole library of install media in your bag for anything you may need to do, and they hold enough data that you can load in things that may require at least a doublelayer DVD to store. They also dont crowd out other things around your USB ports, so you dont have to worry about bringing a short extension cable just so you can plug it in. Compared to the USB flash drives I have used before, these are more stable, and the metal body helps dissipate heat.

Speed is Amazing I am copying tons of 4K Fireworks videos onto them and they transfer 50 faster than the regular Ultra of which I thought was fast. I own the Nelsons Fireworks Stores and we have many systems set up so the customer can scan the barcode of a firework and watch the video before they buy it. They are all 4K and fireworks is the fastest motion of any video and these playback flawlessly with No delay, freezing or chopy screens. The protection locker is very handy and the data transfer between the Flash Drive and local disk drive is quick and efficient. The SanDisk Ultra Flair USB 3.0 32Gb flash drive achieves high transfer speeds. In my simple tests, writing to the drive reached 80Mbytessec according to Windows Robocopy, even though SanDisks own product info indicates a maximum write speed of 60Mbytessec up to 15 times faster than standard USB 2.0 at 4Mbs. I also have some older SanDisk Extreme USB 3.0 flash drives which have higher write speeds around 100Mbytessec, and the newer SanDisk Extreme GoPro USB 3.1 drives are faster again. But of course the higher speeds come at a higher price. The SanDisk Ultra Flair USB 3.0 drives are backed by a SanDisk 5year warranty. But two things to note The Flair drives do not have an LED so no indication of IO activity, and they are quite small, measuring just 43 x 13 x 5mm, so they could potentially be mislaid quite easily. However, the Flair drives have no moving parts unlike the retractable Extreme drives, nor any cap that could be lost. If the transfer speeds are adequate for your needs, then the SanDisk Ultra Flair USB 3.0 32Gb drive is a wellpriced and reliable choice.

If youve ordered one of the new Raspberry Pi computers, you will know that it needs an SD card to make it work.Well this one seems to be just about ideal. It has plenty of space left after youve loaded up the operating system and seems to also be reasonably fast.I had wondered if the Raspberry Pi could support such a large capacity card, but it surely does. One point of note is that you will need to set up an appropriate partition on the card to see more than just 2GB on the Raspberry Pi just do a search on the web and you will find the necessary toolkit its free…For those of just looking for a large capacity SD card who maybe have never heard of the Raspberry Pi, then this is fast and, being made by SanDisk, should provide a quality solution.

Bought this for my Audi A3 Cabriolet and its perfect Didnt register in my computer straight away and I had to update my computer but after that all good. The one thing I will say is dont forget to unlock it on the side before you try and put it in the computer, my blonde ass didnt figure that out for a good 15 minutes Managed to put over a thousand songs on it and still lots of room. The small print on the packaging reveals that the claimed 150MBs transfer speed applies only to the read speed. Ive no reason to doubt that it can achieve that read speed but its write speed is very slow for a USB 3.0 device. When transferring a 23GByte file an incar satnav map update to it, the transfer rate initially was only 8.5MBs, only just over twice USB 2 speed. It then progressively slowed so at the end of the transfer it had achieved less than 4MBs.

I bought one of these and after using it for a few weeks, came back and ordered more. Why, simply because it is the fasting writing flash media Ive every used, especially for the inexpensive price. What do I mean . . . most flash drives have two specifications, the read and the write speed. While other media Ive used have impressive read speeds, when copying large video files to a new flashdrive, it often takes much, much longer to write the same files. These drives have super fast writing speeds so you only have to wait half as long to copy your files. A in my book.

A lot of your micro storage discs are not built very good. They tend to frack and split when you pull them out of slots or out of cameras or recording devices. I think the storage companies need to come up with a better way of designing your disks so that theyre more durable and sturdy.

These are really good, at least thats what Ive found. Have been using three of them for many months, and they are faultless. Yes, as many reviewers have pointed out, they can get alarmingly hot, but with the metal casing by design taking the heat away, surely this isnt detrimental When using in our TV, I use a USB extension lead, so the heat wont endanger the TV USB socket, and also to take the mechanical wear and tear plugging and unplugging from the same. Downsides are 1 they are extremely miniaturised, and so fiddly to take out if other devices are plugged in nearby 2 no busy light, but crikey, how much more can you cram into tiny things like these. However, the good news is, they work and very fast too These have a neat handle at the end for attaching a key ring with a label, and I find this arrangement is good for unplugging the sticks, which are pretty tight fits. Simply get hold of the label, and pull All in all, these are superb I now have 12 of them, which demonstrates my confidence in their reliability.

The SanDisk works very well in my Nintendo 3DSXL. I had the original 4GB one and this only allowed me to store one game. If you want to transfer your save files from your old SD card to the new one then do the followingTake out the old SD card and place it into the PC SD card reader slot Or a card reader USB if you have oneCopy the file that says Nintendo. Do not do anything to this folder just right click copy and paste it into something like your Documents.Place the new SD card into the reader once the files are copied. Just drag them onto the new SD.You will now be able to continue where you left off on the new SD card on your 3DS.I have had no problem with this SD cards reading or writing. It is very fast when it comes to reading and writing game files and I am enjoying using it. I can now store my other downloaded games that I had to remove from the DS to install Pokemon Sun.

I bought two of these, and at first glance Im well pleased considering the price 10 each at this time. On USB3 MacBook Pro Blackmagic Disk Speed Test gives 8290 MBs write and 145 MBs read, which matches the advertised figure of up to 150 MBs. USB2 old Mac mini gives 1820 MBs write and 27 MBs read.They are smaller than Id expected about the size of an allmetal drive, but lighter and not as robust. I wouldnt expect one to survive for long on my keychain. The attachment loop curves up a bit, which is handy in showing which way up to plug them. With symmetrical USB drives, sods law says I always try to insert them upside down.They do get warm when theyre being stress tested. I wonder if this is why Amazon buyers report a comparatively high number of USB drives of all brands that fail after a few weeks or months.

I have an occasional need to ship a large quantity of Jpeg images 5,000 to a web client. In the past, I used DVDs which were cumbersome to make and send. Next I went to Sandisk plastic bodied flash drives, which worked well but were susceptible to damage in the postal system.To safeguard against this, I made a small wood plate from 12 thick plywood with a slot cut out in the center to house the drive like an armored shell. This worked OK but wasnt perfect.Then I discovered these Ultra Flair drives that are just the ticket for my purposes. Their metal shell is very durable so I can send them asis in an envelope, or maybe taped to a thin piece of cardboard cereal box to prevent shifting. And, theyre reasonably priced for the amount of data theyll handle, and easy for the recipient to return by mail for my reuse next time.

I cant accuse the sellers of false advertising, as its written on the packaging, but a USB 3.0 stick this is notTransferring files is like delivering a letter by snail mail, 1829MBs if youre lucky. Im sure there is probably a technical reason why a USB 2.0 stick with a USB 3.0 plug is more useful than a plain old 2.0 stick, but regardless, 16GB is a large storage size and capable of holding dozens of large files so while its hardly the end of the world this definitely wasnt what I was expecting

It also does not allow for traditional file transfer through Windows explorer like a usual usb device. I was given this flash drive at work to transfer files and it works pretty well. I just tested the write speed and it averaged at 5 MBs, which is decent as I plugged the flash drive into a USB 2.0 port for the transfer. If I used a USB 3.0 port, I assume the write speed would be much faster, probably 50 MBs, although I do not have access to a 3.0 port to test this.The metal casing the flash drive is built with is strong and the black plastic loop on the back is sturdy as well. It does not feel like the parts will break anytime soon. The drive is a little small, so you might have to wiggle the drive to go into the USB port. If the drive was longer, it would be easier to plug in.I recommend this drive, or similarlarger sized Ultra Flair drives, to anyone who needs a cheap, sturdy flash drive with decent enough speeds. I personally bought the SanDisk Extreme Go USB 3.1 Flash Drive for myself at home, since the readwrite speeds are consistently 50150 MBs, much faster than this drive, but the flash drive is also a little over 30.

Used the 64gb just over a year now, firstly these USBs can get incredibly hot which can be worrying however there is a further issue with this USB. My USB is now functioning at read only nonwritable. After researching a fix the following fixes do not work.Editing of registry keys, reformatting is not allowed via the various methods on Windows, such as via the CMD prompt, disk management of simple right click when viewing storage devices i then carried out some research over at the Sandisk forums, where it is confirmed that there are no fixes. You can raise a ticket with their support, provide the serial number, evidence of purchase, a photograph of front and back, and then you have to return it to them for a replacement.This is problematic, as you are unable to remove your data from their defective product. So if you are comfortable sending your personal informationsensitive data to Sandisk, not knowing what they will do with it should give you some food for thought.Swerve this product and Sandisk.

This USB stick has now given my smart TV a suitable amount of space to record programmesmovies and have capacity for recording. We have a Sky box in the living room of our house, but truth to tell I hardly watch any sky exclusive channels and having this memory drive in the TV in my room has made catching up on shows so much easier and yes while I am aware there are catch up services built into my TV, it does not accommodate all channels like Talking Pictures. I ordered this drive to use as a Live boot for Linux, so that I could test the OS without needing to install it.I thought it would be simple enough, but the laptop didnt work with it. 80 of the time it would freeze on startup, other times it would freeze after getting to the desktop, where no apps would open.I tried several tests and distros of Linux, all giving the same issue. I contacted SanDisk support, and after a while I got a response saying that it hasnt been tested for that purpose, which doesnt really help the issue. I decided to just format it and use it as a standard drive.I ran benchmarks on the drive itself and the speeds are relatively impressive, so if youre just using it for everyday tasks Im sure the drive is more than good enough, but for live booting an OS Id look elsewhere.

Comes formatted with FAT32 so portablecompatible with pretty much anything, only limit is largest single file is 4GB which is a FAT32 limit, guess you could format it with something else for larger files.

These are brand new SD cards at a competitive price. They are very reliable if one keeps ones fingers off the contacts. They are not the fastest SD card on the market but I havent had a dud yet and they have multiple uses where a flash drive cannot be used, or not easily, such as in data transfer, backup for phones, cameras and digital photo frames.

Sandisk says on the package that it has a 5 year warranty….I guess that I have to contact them after coming back from holidays, hopefully they will sort this thing out quickly and easy. I am not sure if this just happened to me as a random thing or if the reliability of these flash drives are poor in general, maybe it is worth spending more money next time in a higher quality device which one they all seem the same. I bought this flash drive specifically for using it to use as a boot device on a clean install of Windows 10 on my laptop. The USB drive is very tiny but packs a punch First thing I did was format it to NTFS as it is formatted to FAT32 by default. The flash drive performed absolutely perfectly, plugged into my USB3.0 port. I cant say anything more other than it performs exactly as it should and is a great price. My only disappointment, is that the open end of the USB drive does not come with a cover to stop dust etc getting into it.

However, just like the plethora of USB 2 sticks I have, it works fast for a while, then it stops for a period, thinking Its as if the device is contemplating where to push all of the data. This is a brand new product sealed in its original packaging. I bought it because its a reliable brand and not a refurbished product as many slightly cheaper ones are. I have used it to transfer a dozen music CDs onto it to play in my car. Note that manufacturers are no longer fitting CD players into cars. I have tested this SD Card both on laptop and car and it is perfect. I am sure it would be ideal for digital camera use as well. An excellent product, dispatched quickly at a reasonable price. I can certainly recommend this company.

I used this in my Nikon D7000 for around a year. Its been formatted as FAT32 since purchase in June 2012. Everything was going well, we recorded the first days of my sons life on it, all but one of the photos was ok. Since the images are around 20MB in raw getting a patch of bad blocks means you will probably ruin a few photos as worst. Sadly theyre ruined in a way that makes them totally unusable. This is particularly annoying since Ive not filled the card as much as this in the past, so they were probably dead blocks on arrival but I just hadnt ever used that section before. Since the card lasted 24 months Im going to give this just two stars and thats due to the pricing. Ive had other cards much smaller than this cycled many many times without problem good work Kingston, even unbranded cards lasted longer. If Id used this card in a Raspberry Pi or for heavy writes then Id expect a short life, but for light use I dont get much time with the camera Im surprised of such a short life.

I brought this so I had a new memory stick for all my final year dissertation files. It was working perfectly for 6 weeks and then the whole stick failed … it was unrecognisable by any device i lost ALL of my data.Luckily I had some files back up but not all, although the data transfer rate is very quick do not buy for risk of failure.My other, older memory sticks by Lexar have not disappointed me, I will not buy SanDisk again. This SD card brand had a wide range of availability to meet your needs. It ranges from 8 all the way to 64 GB. You will never run out of extra storage with these cards. Theyre small and dont take up much space. However, they can be hard to keep track of extras without a holder due to their size. Overall great product

I should have looked in the description for the actual size because trthey are TINY So, tiny and slippery dont make for good ergonomics in a flash drive, especially when they dont just easily slide into USB ports like most flash drives do. You have to PUSH them in and PULL them out. This is the case on all of the ports on our three laptops and on my USB hub, so Id say its a safe call. They have some files already on them, but thats OK because I always format new flash drives anyway to get rid of the crapware. OK, so the good stuff Theyre quite stylish and I suppose that make some people happy. Theyre tiny so theyll fit into small spaces, which good be good. Somehow. I guess. I cant speak to readwrite speed since all I use them for is to swap files between people and machines and I really dont care whether it takes 10 seconds or 2. They do work, and Ive never had a problem with any SanDisk product. And since I didnt order them from that big company, I can assume that they are not knockoffs.

I have received an article of different model and inferior quality to the description. I received a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 64GB USB 2.0 flash drive. I offered for SanDisk 64GB Cruzer Ultra Flair USB 3.0 Obviously the transfer speed is much lower compared to what you offer, is a much older model and the quality of construction materials is inferior. I leave Pictures of the model I received for which I did not offer.

As absolute waste of a drive. Writing small or large files the thing barely creeps above a 2mbps write speed. Taking well over 2 hours to write a single 30gb file to this hideously slow drive is torture. I ended up splitting my files into multiple .rar files and using rewritable dvds to transfer my data as it was significantly faster.Windows or Linux, it doesnt matter. I disabled write caching on windows and on Linux to no improvement. This drive is just abominably slow when writing and to top it off, the metal construction and thin connections mean this drive gets very hot very quickly.Yet another flop from sandisk and a my final straw reached with them. Having every single sandisk drive I have ever owned 12 of them either fail, break or have poor performance I have finally given up on them as a company.

I keep a small supply of flash drives for the families laptops for recovery purposes Windows and Paragon Hard Disk Manager 17.At 32GB these are more than adequate as regards capacity and, being USB 3, they are reasonably quick. They are very compact, seemingly reliable and very reasonably priced.As such, they meet all my requirements and for a very reasonable price. No complaints

This memory card will work for short spurts on my GOPRO camera.I have used it with my canon camera and my Nikon camera and received rave reviews for the clarity and color.My past usage was with the SanDisk 1GB and 132 memory disc.I will always buy the SanDisk cards they are reliable and reprogram able.They fit in any camera that takes a memory card.I gave one to my friend and boy he was surprised with the versatility and color he got with the SanDisk memory card.This is a great addition to anyones camera bag, so many pictures on one card.Separating the photos by date is the only problem, but if you use just one card for the whole year it works out too.I am going to get the 64GB SanDisk memory card for my Go Pro camera so I can take long videos of my outings.SanDicsk is the best card for the money. I havnt bought a Flash Drive this large before but i wanted the extra capacity for some music. The drive is very quick to both read and write from. Ive bought several Memory Cards and Flash Drives from Picstop over the years. All have been great value, posted quickly and the best quality.
Write Protection Error –
The USB drive became corrupted around 30 days after purchasing it. One could make a backup of the files, but additional files could not be copied to the disk nor could existing files be deleted. The error is The disk is write protected. It is a known error at Scandisk. Scandisk acknowledged the issue, but refused to compensate the loss, since I could not send the disk to them, as it contains personal information which cannot be deleted. Avoid this model at all cost.

I bought the memory stick for storing photos and other documents as a back up. using Mac the stick works as I want it too across the laptops and iMac desk top we have. However, had problems today after I had transferred photos on to the stick and taken it to the local photographic shop as the usb wasnt recognised. The member of staff explained that sometimes some usb sticks dont always fit well so unsure if a problem on their equipment of the usb stick. Another one I had, which I had downloaded the photos to also did work alright so I lean to thinking that this usb may have problems so will only be able to use it as a backup which is its main purpose anyway.

I ordered this flash drive to transfer on it all the files and documents that were cluttering my Mac desktop. The goal was to declog my desktop yet have my files easily accessible on an external, cordless storage device by leaving it permanently plugged in one of my 2.0 USB ports. Of course, all these files are also backed up on a much larger external HD, for peace of mind.The drive is very affordable and plenty fast for the casual usage I subject it to. It has a classylooking metal finish and is amazingly compact, about half the size of the Lexar flash drive of the same capacity that I already own an excellent product itself, to the point that I doubted its ability to hold that much memory in such a compact package. I guess time will tell just how reliable it is but so far it works great.

I have had this card plugged into my Toshiba laptop for a few months now, as backup storage for my music. The card has worked without problems and has proved to be fast enough for quickly uploading and error free playback of 320kbps MP3 files.I think that the card is rated as a Class 4 card, so I dont know if it will prove quick enough for the latest generation of video and still digital cameras. I did try it in my wifes little Canon digital camera and it did seem to work OK with still and video capture but this camera is a couple of years old now. There were no problems with formatting of the card in either application. It does seem to me that SD cards either work for years without an issue, or that they are faulty straight out of the box or very soon afterwards, so far I have not had a problem with the Sandisk brand at all. As I have said in other reviews, just make sure that you buy from a reputable dealer and dont end up with a dodgy knock off product very cheap prices are often an indication of a counterfeit product. There are other reviews on Amazon which discuss how to spot fakes esp. Sandisk SD cards, so browse the reviews for advice. In short this card reliably does what it is supposed to and for a reasonable price. I bought mine through Jarlink and they have provided good service at a sensible price.

This memory stick runs very hot, almost too hot to handle. Ive complained to SanDisk about this, sent them photos as they requested and their answer is that this is normal. I now realise that there are many adverse comments online about this device the Ultra Flair and all are complaining about the high temperature and unreliability of performance when being used at these temperatures. Im now seeing this as well.

I got the Sandusky Ultra Flair USB Flash drive and started using it immediately. I have a computer at home and at my campsite. I no longer have to load data to the cloud and hope I remember how to get it back from one computer to the other. I now copy my data to tge flash drive and when I get to the other computer I paste it and continue working without and problems.

I had previously purchased a Sandisk 128GB Flair, and I found it to be REALLY fast on sequential writes. Using that i.e. the 128GB Flair could copy a 1 GB file to it in about 20 seconds. That is VERY fast. Unfortunately, I should have read the fine print a little better. When I received this 16GB version of the Sandisk Flair, I found it to be MUCH slower on sequential writes… and probably everything else too, although I havent checked. The reason, apparently, is that Sandisk put a whole different controller into the 16GB version of the Flair, and it is rather significantly slower than the controller that is in the rest of the Flair versions i.e. 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. So anyway, I really love the form factor and general styling of these Flairs specifically that there is no cap to lose, and it wont get in the way of other nearby USB ports, because it is so thin and small and I think that even the 16GB version is a good bargain if obtained at a reasonable price and Im still happy with my purchase. But if I had it to do over again, I think I would instead get one of the 32GB ones and hope the speed is a bit better.

No issue with it apart from it is very susceptible to damage. Within a couple days the metal had become bent meaning it wouldnt go into a usb hole any longer.If taken care of well it would be a good little usb storage but if you want a usb storage which you can carry on your keysbag etc. Then this one is probably not the best choice

I had to replace my USB drive yesterday. There is a problem transferring downloaded one file between HD and USB drive. The file I.Still.Believe.2020.1080p.WEBDL.DD5.1.x264CMRG is too large for the destination file system. Excuse me The file is only 4.31Gb. My USB drive size is 64Gb. I did transfer 5 other video files which dropped the size of my USB drive to 48Gb. Is there something wrong with this file or the drive I did used to have a 32Gb USB drive and did transferred the same file and the drive accepted it however it was broken with my fault of mine. Is there something wrong with the drive

I purchased this USB key for transferring map data from a laptop to a car as part of a map update. I needed one that gave me the option of not encrypting the data or password protecting it and this was perfect for it.My only gripe is that there is no cap provided to cover the business end of it. Otherwise, its great value for decent capacity.

I wanted this unit to store music files on to use in my incar system. The memory stick stored more songs than I thought it would, however it would not play in my car system, I can only assume that it was because it is a Type 3 unit. I used a smaller memory stick which works fine so I am disappointed, but I guess it my mistake for not checking if high quality sticks work on my system. The memory stick is now in a drawer.

Even though this drive is physically smaller than other drives I own, it holds roughly 4 times more data than most of them. Ive been very satisfied with other SanDisk products and this one is no exception. Transfer of data only seems to be hindered by the computer capability itself. Having 3 computers in the house, each with different capabilities, it works smoothly with each of them. I initially purchased 2 to try them, but intend to buy a couple more in the near future. The cost is reasonable and the capabilitiesquality is top notch. Oh, and the loop on one end allows for attachment of a tag, key chain, or whatever is needed.

Its been quite a while since Ive bought a memory card I used to use these all the time when I kept my digital camera on me, however now that I always use my phone I dont use cameras anymore. These do hold quite a large amount of pictures. Obviously the larger space the card has the more picsvideos it will hold. They always worked well for me in the past and I would buy this brand again if I needed one.

Very pleased with the purchase. Price was very good for the amount of storage provided. This card is being used to replace a smaller storage sized SDcard used inside a Nintendo 3DS 2011 edition. 32GB is officially the maximum supported by the Nintendo 3DS without having to make any modifications to the card. There are ways of making higher storage cards work with the 3DS, but for me personally 32GB was more than enough.

Great product and arrived well packed inside a bubble envelope. the card itself is supplied in the SanDisk original manufacturers packaging. This card has a huge capacity and a class 4 write speed so is suitable for using to store music. I have transferred my entire CD collection using CDex to MP3 320kbps variable bit rate and this card is holding around 600 albums and there is about 13rd of the space remaining. I now have all my music with me in my car. This disk would also suit digital cameras but probably not HD camcorders as they require a class speed of 6 or greater. Great value for a top brand high capacity card

I use this product in my camera to save my pictures to. It works really well and is easy to use. All you do is open the package and insert in the slot provided by the camera and start snapping. You can also take out and with you to any local retailer that you wants to get prints made and insert the memory card in their provided device and select your saved photos and they can make prints for you.

I formatted the stick as FAT32 to plug in the car. However, the second time I did this, the format program responded with an error. From that time on, only a couple of programs recognise that the USB exists even the NAS linux based doesnt recognise it now. Windows finds it and that would be OK if I were only using it on windows but the car wont recognise it. Ive tried reformatting in different formats and back to FAT32, different format programs all to no avail. So now I have 128G stick thats useless for what I purchased it for at least if it had of been a card, I might have got away with it in the camera. Ive never had issues with other brands before, so I wouldnt recommend this particular Sandisk USB. In fact, I dont think Ill buy another Sandisk product again.

I overall enjoyed using this flash drive. I use a lot of flash drives due to my work and have a lot of files and things that I need to upload. This flash drive worked very well for me. The uploading was surprisingly faster than I expected. It also holds a lot of things. It was very easy to use and very easy to carry around on the go for my work. Overall recommend this flashdrive. It hasnt given me any trouble and it works great.

I loved how sleek this was. It held everything I needed it too for my Clients. But videos that were 5 GBs in size would not be transferred over. Even though there was room on the flash drive to hold it, it wouldnt let it transfer over. So I had to resize my videos so they would transfer over. I finally got it to work. It would let 3 GBs transfer over, so thats the size I compressed my videos too. Other than that, it worked great.

Dont go near it, literally, because in use gets far too hot very quickly. The AV receiver kept crashing when playing tracks from this drive and I finally tracked it down to this drive getting too hot and freezing or it being so hot it did something to the amp. Other USBs playing same tracks work fine. Waste of money and time and may damage anything you leave it plugged into.

Ordered an 8Gig, but got a 16Gig I was a little concerned as using it for the built in TomTom in the van the 4Gig wasnt big enough for new maps. 16G may have been more than the satnav could handle but it turned out all was well. So, on the whole, a decent item that does the job at a fair price

These smaller size Memory cards are getting hard to come by. Manufacturers assume we want as much memory in a card as we can get, and that is not always the case. I, for one, have several instances where a 4 to 8GB card is still the perfect size.. AND I still have a few devices that I use that a 32GB card is too big, the memory capacity overwhelms the device. Hurry and order yours, because I will be ordering more before they are all gone. More memory is not always the best thing, these smaller capacity cards are great.

I have the drive permanently attached to a USB 2.0 port, where it runs a little warm but not enough to be a concern. I can confirm that the drive gets a lot hotter but not hot enough to burn when plugged into a USB 3.0 port, even with no activity. The drive has been working fine for me in a USB 2.0 port.

After having purchased a number of different USB drives from San Disk over the years, this will probably be the last one. After purchasing this drive in October last year, only using it on days of presentations during college, i.e. have maybe used the drive under 30 times, the drive is now dead and not reading in any of my computers on USB 2 or USB 3 ports. Even from the first usage I found the drives write speeds to be very bad especially for a drive that says its USB 3 and has 130MBs reads in the title which it in fact did not… Honestly disappointed, this is a drive I havent put through the ringer like others ones ive kept on keychains that worked for years. Having stored this USB in the bag I carry my computer in and ensuring that its kept safe. Im very surprised to have it die already.

Having developed considerable confidence in SanDisk products I did not keep any of the packagingwarrany material. The Flash Stick was fine for a couple of busy days then weird disappearance of files which reappeared on rebooting the PC. One Flash Stick test program showed physical drive error, another showed Read errors.I suppose that the moral is whatever your confidence in a product do not throw away the warranty material.Peter W.

It is a good product wich I mostly use for my college assignments. A pro is definitely that I can just pop it in my bag and go. I think it is affordable considering that it can carry all your schoolwork on it. Not really impressed. Ive no idea of the durability, because Ive only had it a short while. It is lightweight, yes, and its as easy to use as any flash drive is unless you want a 64Gb capacity when you buy the 64Gb variant which I did, to a point. I knew that some of the drive would be taken up by whatever it is they already have on them in order to work, and all I needed was 32Gb of space. You would think that if have made a safe bet with a 64Gb drive wouldnt you Wrong As was I All the space this drive jad available to me was 28Gb, and Im no tech wizard as you can probably tell, but I was shocked by how much this flash drive needed for itself. I ended up having to buy another flash drive, this time a 128 Gb one, and… from someone else. Strangely that only used 4Gb of space with its own info.But I suppose, Ive at least Ive got a 28Gb drive if I ever need one.

These drives are almost an essential everyday need if you have to distribute large files to clients.However, the Ultra Flair model has some pretty slow write speeds for a USB 3.0 device, like 20 MBs sustained. When youre writing 10, 20 GB of files onto one of these, thats a lot of time, especially when there are models with easily twice, thrice, even as much as an order of magnitude faster write speeds.However, for something you buy once for a gig just to get a few gigs of footage to an editor or client, its pretty forgivable. Ive bought over a dozen of these and not had any issues to date.

Its a nice flash drive. Fast transfer rates. I noticed drives temperature get rather high to the touch if large sized files are getting transferred. In order to keep the drive at a resonable temperature to extend its usage life, wrap some metal, e.g. aluminum foil, around the drives shielding.Size wise the drive is smaller than a thumb so it can get lostmisplaced easily if one is not paying attention.

I have a few of these and they came in handy as an animation student. File sizes for my classes were huge like 2030gb each and multiple files and couldnt be split. These USBs never caused any issues. File transfers were a little slow, but to be expected with such large files. Due to its large capacity, I was able to easily transfer files between school and home. Worth spending the money

I have previously bought this product from Tesco Direct, but they have since closed. Also, PC World Curries are too expensive, so this is a good price. The product is small, so be careful not to lose it. I use it at home so I keep it in its packet, so that I recognise where it is put. If you do keep it loose, then I suggest hanging it on a lanyard for safekeeping. Also, if it is kept loose then you may need something to cover the USB end since it is left open and it does not have a lid. The device is sturdy since it is made of metal, but if it is used for very long periods of time then it may heat up. I have used my ones continuously for 2 hours or so and they have been fine, but I suppose if they are needed for longer then you should transfer files in blocks so that it does not heat up. However, if it may be hot, then there is a black plastic beltbar on one end to remove the USB safely. My laptop memory is pretty full and it runs quite slowly compared to laptops these days, so when it comes to transferring files I do it in blocks to keep it running smoothly for an average pace, but a good speed with regards to the size of the device and its price. Another good reason to transfer in blocks is not only that it appears to transfer quicker, but it is more reliable. I dont know if its my laptop, phone or the memory stick, but when I try to transfer 1000 photos in one go, there is an error and I have to transfer the files that failed again, and manually delete the files that did transfer from my phone both new or old phones. I successfully transfer blocks of 250 photos at a time, although this takes a while as I transfer over 7000 photos monthly. I hope that the figures and information helps to decide if this product will suit your needs. Thank you for reading my review.

More and more electronic products have SDHC capability, so its always good to have spares on hand. My PriceBlink says that this is the best price of all the stores that they monitor. I love photography. I have a photo page on Facebook named Pictures That Tell Stories. It started out as a page just to share photos with friends and family. I was surprised when more people started following me. I am up to almost one thousand followers now without even promoting my page.SanDisk is always my first choice for my memory card. It is high quality and very reasonably priced. Because of the low price, I can save every one of my memory cards and have never had to erase one to reuse it. I always keep several in my camera supplies. I really like being able to do this because no matter what disaster could possibly happen to my pictures on my computer, I still have the originals. Plus the ones with less storage are priced low enough that I can take pictures for someone and just give them the SanDisk. SanDisk is and will remain my first choice in memory cards.

If I sell just less that a litre of milk and claim a litre of milk is what I put in I am hounded by government officials. This chip is write protected and I guess that is the way they are now. It worked fine until I tried to format it and found I could not do that, so the chip is full now and useless to me. I tried to find a chip on the web that is not write protected but could not. Not good.

I have found San Disk flash drives to be very reliable. I like this new slim design much better than the previous black drives with the red button to let the drive slide in or out. My experience with those was that it was very hard to get them to slide when you wanted to but when you tried to plug them in the part that goes inside the computer would retract. This new model is also thinner. Computer makers put USB outlets so close together that fat drives interfere with one another,

I copied a 1.45Gb video using this drive it started out at 55MBs then dropped to 20MBs. I compared it to my Samdisk Extreme genuine USB3 stick which is admittedly over 3 times the price of this one but it copied at a constant rate of 98MBs This Ultra Flair drive is not even faster than my old USB2 stick, I tried it. Its claimed speed is fake and the plug end got so hot just copying this one video that it could damage the socket on your PC. Lesson Learned, even branded product manufacturers lie.

I dont really ask much of a USB drive but this one is nicely made what appears to be a stainless steel outer casing with a plastic loop. I has decent speed and the capacity is as stated. The price was good, too

Lets start out by stating the obvious, this is just a flash drive and that is ok Sometimes you just need a flash drive to be a flash drive. Plug and play works great with no extra blotware on it. I love the small compact form of it and yet it feel sturdy. Some other smaller drives feel like they will break in your hand but not this one. File transfer speeds were great as well. Super easy to keep on my keychain so I dont lose it. Like I said sometimes you just need a normal flash drive and this 100 is just the flash drive that i want

I bought 2 of these drives to use as utilities because of their small size. I intended to use one for formatting hard drives and the other for installing Windows. On 2 different computers the same problem cropped up with both of these drives during Windows installations. Files were missing from the flash drives needed to install Windows. And Windows interrupted and halted the install, which means having to start all over from scratch with the install. It happened at different points. One time at 1 complete, another time at 83 complete still another time at 91 complete with no blue screen error. This is how I knew there was something wrong with the software on the flash drive.Being knowledgeable as I am I soon realized it was the SANDISK drives that were causing the problem. For reasons built into the drive they dont copy all the files being transferred to them. It is kind of like a speed of date transfer over integrity of data transferred type of situation. Imagine how this affects a Windows installation after one has already erased their hard drive.So I tried another flash drive I had lying around with Windows 10 installation files on it and it installed Windows on both computers the first time. I therefore now do not recommend Sandisk USB flash drive products. Once it stopped working, anybody else not as knowledgeable as me in this situation, could have wound up replacing their computer thinking there was something wrong with it without knowing the problems stem from this inexpensive but deadly Sandisk flash drive.I rarely if ever give a bad review, but the situation above caused me such a panic at first that I feel obligated to share my experience.Because this happened consistently with 2 separate Sandisk 16GB Ultra Flair 3.0 flash drives, I am 100 convinced thedr drives are not as good as others. No fault of B H Audio.The drives I used to install Windows that did work I also bought from B H a while back so it is the Sandisk that is not suited for Windows installs. Thats my review.

What a wast of money this was. It only lasted 4 months and then was unable to be used in my trail camera. Card error message every time I tried to use it. I put another make of cad in and camera work perfectly again.I will never buy Sandisk again. Not reliable and dont last very long.

I like the size. I like that its lightweight. I would find the loop at one end really useful for attaching to a keyring, except … there is no cover for the USB end, so you couldnt carry it in a pocket or bag because it would fill up with fluff I had kind of assumed a swivel cover or similar, but no cover at all thats not practical. Shame, as its a nice little device and works fine, but how to carry it around

Does exactly as required and exactly what you would expect. It is much smaller in dimension than I expected it to be and Im sure if you dont keep it on a key ring or somewhere you know you wont forget then you have a good chance of losing it. All that said, its performance and storage is just spot in for my needs and transferring, moving files around its perfect

I looked through the reviews for this because I needed a reliable and fast flash drive and this seemed to fit what I wanted. I read through the negative reviews and saw that nearly all of them reported that it stopped working and wasnt reliable. Compared to the amount of positive reviews I thought it was worth a shot. I was wrong.After about two weeks of very rough performance that caused my laptop to hang for 4 10 seconds at random it became unrecognised. I tried to access it through as many ways as I could think and the closest I got was being able to view the files, once, in Linux. After that brief view it failed to read, write, or do anything at all. Windows couldnt access it at all. Result one dead product.I will also add what Ive seen many people comment on too. This gets very hot and I wonder if that is perhaps responsible for the failure rate. Being made of plastic it had nowhere to dump the heat and it stayed hot until it was physically removed. I see so many positive reviews that it might be a quality issue but for me that risk of getting a bad device is too high to recommend.

I have been buying SanDisk flash drives for years and I am never disappointed. I am using these mostly to share my photos with extended family and friends because I usually have hundreds of photos to share. This flash drive has a good read speed although write speed is so so, perhaps a bit better than flash drives from other manufacturers.

I dont buy cheap brands of flash drives as they fail. Had this drive now for a few months and its been used a bit. Have many other Sandisk products and never failed. I get transfer speeds of 110MBs

I dont even know what to say other than I used to use these to store photos of my son when he was a baby and now I use my phone for photos. The SanDisk was always the only brand I could find at staples so it was my go to. Reliable and worked like a charm. I know no better quality so they get all the stars.

This little flash drive is a speed demon on a USB 3.0 bus…and of course its backward compatible with USB 1.0 and 2.0. Its tiny, and unlike many other flash drives, its slim profile enables it to fit easily into the USB port on Apples most recent extended keyboard without interference from the underside of the keyboard plate. Some flash drives are just too fat to fit there. And its sufficiently narrow that it wont interfere with other items plugged into adjacent ports on MacBook Pro models that actually have ports…you know, the ones Apple made before they stopped caring about user convenience. Actually, I have only two gripes with this Ultra Flair USB 3.0 Flash Drive 1. It has no cover to protect the connector. I dont mind the fact that it doesnt have a builtin cover that would just make it fatter when its plugged in…not necessarily a good thing. But SanDisk should have at least provided a slipon plastic cover to protect the connector when the device isnt in use. I keep mine in a small plastic medication bottle to protect it. 2. The device gets very hot…I mean VERY hot, which makes it unacceptable for use in any application that requires the flash drive to remain plugged in for long. Thats not a good thing high temperatures reduce the lifespan of all electronic components, and I suspect that this little flash drive wouldnt last very long if I left it plugged in. Fortunately, I only use it for transferring files, and its so fast I never have to leave it plugged in for very long. One star off for the gripes, but otherwise its worth what I paid for it. If all you need is a file transfer device that doesnt stay plugged in for long, this does the job.

Its an instantly recognisable brand we all know, I have loaded it into my Nikon D3200 and so far it seems to do the job I cant tell if the card will hold up long term, but I will write another review in a month or so The image seems to be clear and bright and I cant see any aberrations or loss in picture quality. So until next time I leave you with my summation, a genuine product at a really good price and does exactly what it says on the box I am back again from my first impressions of this 16gb Sandisk SDHC memory card. I have had it for about 6 months and have not used it excessively, but it started to go on the fritz a little while ago. Id put it in and my camera would not accept it as viable, suggesting to remove it and use one that was functioning I got fed up with this in the end, and I havent used it tried to use it for months now. So draw your own conclusions, just one of those things, or a question of you getting what you paid for

I purchased this for a 33GB file set. The set of files took around 1hr 45 mins to save to the memory stick direct from brand new i5 processor computer connected to internet on a 78 MBs speed. The read time was around 20 minutes to retrieve those files off of the stick. The constraining factor was the write speed.Okay in total, as sticks with faster write speeds are more expensive.Good value just dont expect to start writing then be out of there before your lunch break has finished.

Pros Great speed for USB 3 but also in a USB 2 slot. Very impressed with saving videos. Nice and compact drive in a metal case so should be very robust as well. Nice top bend in the case that makes it easy to grip.Cons Ever so very well packaged so had to use a knife to open the packaging.

After owning several identical sticks in the past we were happy to find them on amazon for much cheaper than stores near by. We purchases four of the memory sticks, and were very pleased with two of the four. Two of the sticks were in bad shape, the first stick came chipped in the corners and the second was cracked all along the card. We were unable to return the two sticks with defects and had to buy two more locally for the upcoming shoot. Overall I have been pleased with these memory cards

The flash drive worked well for approximately oneyear and then failed isnt recognized or readwriteable. As some have noted, the drive becomes hot while plugged in which I suspect contributed to it failing so soon. I have submitted a claim to SanDisk for a replacement under its warranty but havent heard back from them so far.

These were purchased for one of my daughters in Sierra Leone so have not been opened yet but, from viewing, they look perfect for her use, especially in the harsh climate there and were certainly excellent value for money. I would highly recommend PicStop and their products.

I bought a bunch of these Sandisk 16GB USB drives to store individual photo albums on offline. They are very compact and nicely made. Read write speeds appear as fast as any other drives that Ive used.

Plug and play product, needing no direction or guidance at all. Cant go wrong with this drive. My only issue is a personal preference. Its a bit too small in size. I was expecting something of similar size to my 32GB Ultra, so was a bit surprised when I picked it up at the collection point. However, it is fast and does what it is supposed to do.

Overall this is a standard SanDisk product of which decent quality can be expected. It is reasonably fast with file transfers. It is also pleasantly slim which helps when space is an issue with a crowded desk area. One of my biggest compliments is also part of my biggest issue. The drive looks great being mostly metal. However, while Ive had other drives get warm during use before, this thing gets almost downright hot. Its not going to burn anyone. But I still found it a bit unsettling. Overall though it is a solid choice.

They do a good job. Bought a bunch here and there. Some people want blazing speeds during long copies, but that would overheat the drive. You get as an initial burst, for basic copying. I use them as backup drives.

Be VERY VERY CAREFUL. I bought this thinking it was a micro SD card in an adaptor. I cut open the outer packaging, and revealed the card encased in sealed plastic. At this point I could see that it was NOT an adaptor with micro card. I took it back for exchange, but was told this was not possible as I had damaged the outer packing. Even HQ have said exactly the same. So thats money down the drain then

I always buy SanDisk. Over the years it has always been a reliable product. I tried a generic brand once, you truly do get what you pay for it literally fell apart after several uses. Never again will I stray from SanDisk.

This is a good value USB3 stick and is made of metal for the main case with a plastic handle. It is quite small measuring just over 4cm in length and about 1cm in width. The stick does get warm like most USB3 sticks Ive tried but not hot.It has pretty decent read speeds and I got about 135MBs, but the write speeds are quite slow at about 20MBs on my system. In real world tests it takes about 1min to write a 1GB file. So this stick is probably best used for writing small files office fileshomework etc.If you can put up with the initial slow write speeds for large media files, then this stick works well for streaming media smoothly without stutter. But if you are constantly writing large files then look elsewhere.

Very.pleased as purchased to install Linux mint 18.1 on as a working operating system for my intel NUC. The Nuc is connected to TV as a media pc running openelec. As noted on there wiki it states fuss needed get it duel boot. Well I didnt want do that as my family vids, pics and some media backups were on the internal HD.So a cheap and faster usb3 transfer lead me to put Linux on it so can also browse the internet, play some card games or majong etc or email and type office stuff while happily slouching on the settee. From my observation Linux mint shows no speed difference than if on hard driveAs for duel booting with openelec I didnt read couldnt be bothered and just press F10 when pc starts and use the boot option. Which idle I know but it works just as quick enough for me. Ps, I am not running a live version but a full installation as you would on a hard drive.
