I told myself id never buy digital… until i had kids and my oldest began playing. It was a momentarily bittersweet moment until it happened… CONSTANT GAME CHANGING LITERALLY11 I knew then id have to go digital in order to not let them destroy the games. Thus card was a necessity, the extent of the games, how much cheaper some games were in there eshop as well as convenience. Docked the switch havent pulled it out unless i brought it on the road.
Khaled –
Lets state the obvious If youre considering this for the value proposition, youd best consider alternatives. If however youre in need of massive storage and place any emphasisenjoyment on owning officially licensed Nintendo products, then youre search has ended. This is a phenomenal memory card, branding aside.
John –
Was waiting for this item to arrive for over a week, when it finally arrived and I popped it in my switch. It prompted me to format it right away when it usually asks to perform an update and would not format. I tried several methods and times to get it to work but it wouldnt format the card. After some inspection the packaging for the card seemed off from my other memory card. Just the fonts and colors were slightly different. Im pretty sure its a fake card and Im going to return this and buy a new one from best buy or target.
Scerd –
Major memory card when play excessive GB games like mk11. From the 128GB, I still have 78.8gb. I still have 25.4GB from the system. One game covered about 32gb and there is lots of game that cover about 11gb…
BradF –
After reading many reviews on several websites I decided to spend a little extra and purchase this card. I saw pictures where other brands actually melted the SD card slot. That being said if you have luck with the non endorsed brands then great, otherwise you cant beat this card despite it being about 20 more than a competing 256gb card.
BlackboxFan –
Ive owned this for a year and approaching two and I have little to no issues that could not be fixed by reinserting it or making sure their was no dust obstructing the slot. Its design lets you know instantly that it is compatible with the Nintendo switch. Its great and well worth it at a discount and will set you if you are mainly buy physical releases. If you mainly download via the Eshop this card will fill up quickly and you may need a backup or a larger storage microSDXC card.
Thatsme –
This is the best way to be sure all of your content and downloaded games stay put and dont lag. These cards have been tested and made for the Switch so why even risk using another This is the third Ive purchased. Good stuff. They work as designed.
Mane –
This is essential for any Nintendo addict. Anyone who collects Nintendo needs this in their life. If you dont care to paya tad extra for the logo, that is. There is no difference besides that. The brand tax. Nintendo Switches need more memory. So do what you will. I got mine from Black Friday so I am happy with my free card. But you do you boo.
caroline –
This is a MUST for parents. It is annoying to have to archive games to play other games and very frustrating for children. This memory card means that my daughter can have all of her games easily accessible with plenty of room for more.
moviebuff82 –
I know people say this is just a regular SanDisk memory card with the Nintendo logo on it for a high sticker price. This was endorsed by Nintendo for a reason. It goes on sale so just wait if you dont want to spend. Quality is there definitely, easy to use and was recognized by my Switch right away. ReadWrite is fast, which is important for fastpaced games. No issues whatsoever, and that alone is worth the money.
Smithn1986 –
Ill admit, I prefer my games on cartridge. But, this is a great addition, as you do still need to download games to the system to save progress. Your system fills up quickly. Get this card to save you from needing to get a bigger card in the future.
carson3000 –
I had the 128 but started to run out of space, even after uninstalling a ton of little games I didnt play anymore. After upgrading, I was able to reinstall everything from the eshop I had purchased and still have half the sd card available. Very nice amount of space and these XC cards are very fast.
Charlie –
This microSD card has been an amazing little addition to my Nintendo Switch. I am now able to download and play games at ease instead of uninstalling and reinstalling to save space. This is a must have if you enjoy playing multiple games at a time.

After running out of storage on my Switch, I purchased this memory card for extra space. Offers a good amount of extra storage for the price, though Id recommend waiting to try and get it on sale. It is reliable and easy to use. The branded design also makes it east to identify the card among from my others.
xurumilhas –
Bought this in a great sale, and although the Switch branding here is more of a gimmick, it ended up being the same price of an equivalent category SanDisk regular card same speedrating, so I obviously appreciated the theme and branding and red color, yeah of this card. It has been working flawlessly and it was a much needed expansion to my everfull console. Good product
Dionne –
Pros The design with the mushroom is a nice touch.Cons A bit disappointed that it came with less capacity. 128gb with only 119gb space actually on it.
Matg –
With the SanDisk name you know its quality right from the gate. But then you add Nintendo into the mix and you know you got something good. Everything loads in a timely fashion. No lag. Never had a problem or an error. But always keep a backup because things we have no control of happen and if ya wanna feel just a little safer, just keep two. The one in the Switch and one you can copy said one in the Switch onto every so often.
jhenri23 –
Bought this memory card on Black Friday. I got a super awesome deal on it. I would recommend it to anybody that plays several games on the switch. You have to do an update. So far I havent experienced any lag or any sort of interference ever since installing it.
Kangalou –
Bought this microSD as a gift for someones Nintendo Switch. They started using this item this last winter, 2020. No reported issues with this card, no data loss or corruption. The games that have been loaded onto this card work great when in use. No issues and a great purchase for anyone looking to expand their memory.
Magicmaster25 –
Got this on sale and it is actually amazing. Before, I didnt even have enough space to keep all my physical game data. Now I feel like I can buy as many games as I want, I can download games without worrying about my saves. I highly recommend this, I imagine this could also help out a lot if you have a small child since theres plenty of inexpensive educational games
Jacob –
Pros Super fast memory. High capacity. Unique yellow with a star Looks the business even for a tiny bit of silicon and metal.Cons Overpriced compared to other competitive products. I am a sucker for branding.
JR123 –
With only 7 MB of space left, I got the 128 GB on sale and was excited to finally download the games I bought but didnt have the room to play but unfortunately this Sandisk seems to be defective.I turned the Switch off, put in the chip, and it said that it needed to be formatted gives the option to do so right after, it then restarts the switch and the same formatting error pops up. I tried doing it through systems, taking out the chip, restarting the device and waiting for a while before trying again and the error still pops up.Looking around online, this error has happened to several people with this particular SD chip the problem can be remedied by getting a new one that wasnt apart of the faulty batch.I plan on exchanging mine since the price was so good but I recommend skipping out on this one and getting a different SD altogether to avoid the chances of getting a broken one.
Qboluisillo –
I bought this to store my digital game purchases and it works great. I have older digital versions of console games, and I have No issues with running out of storage. My Switch picked it up right away and didnt have to go through any setup process. Just pop it in and go Great price for 128GB
XsavianKing –
So I purchased this card on on 12192020 from Bestbuy in Manchester Conn, I removed my 128gig from my switch and inserted the new card 256gig Yellow Card My Switch wont recognize it, I even tried to use it on my Dji action cam and still wont recognize it, I even tried it on my GoPro Hero 8 and same issue. A lot of videos on YouTube states that I must format the card for it to work on my switch. If that is the case Its pretty lame. Now I have to bring it back to bestbuy and hope that have another in stock if they cant figure out this card. If I switch it and it works Ill update this review ..
MamoXMamo –
This expansion card is a MUST, especially if you like to download or purchase digital version of games. Digital games take a lot of of GB data so having this extra GB is a reliever compared to the measly amount on the switch. Oh and this will definitely save you the heartbreak and anxiety of deleting games on your switch if you run out of storage and need to free up space haha Invest and dont worry about it later
Chris –
The best way to get a bunch of storage space on to your switch. no more lugging cards around. I found 256 to be sufficient for my needs but smaller and larger storage sizes are available. just pop it in and boom you can install up wo 256gb of games from the nintendo store
Starwarsfan –
All you need if your a casual gamer. I have not filled the base systems storage up yet but I only have about 8 ish games. Recommend in case you do ever need the extra storage space. I bought this when it was like 50 percent off too.
Devastator –
This is a quick and fast micro SD card at a great price. Caught it on sale and picked up the same day. Migration was as simple as formatting the new SD card and copying all the data over. I installed into the Switch and voila, all is good to go Definitely recommended
msldonna –
Definitely a good investment for the Switch. Downloaded games take up a lot of space before you know it. And, the Switch gets a lot of activity in our house, so have the space to keep everyones favorite games in reach without having to delete and readd games is a plus
ryans330 –
This probably isnt for everyone since Nintendo cartridges actually hold all the base game data unlike the other two rival game systems. If youre buying mostly physical games, you could probably get away with buying a smaller SD card to save some money. But if youre buying even some digital and taking advantage of the eShop, this card is as futureproof as you could get. And the yellow Mario star printed on it is a nice touch to distinguish it from any other cards you may have.
danbanhttt –
The first picture shows the item packaging. The second picture shows the small plastic sleeve inside the packing the sd card comes in. Neither of those were in my shipment. Just the sd card in a small plastic slip mailed without any protection. Not very smart for the nature of the item.
Dominic –
the nintendo switch is a very good console, but storage is something it lacks. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage, to get more you must buy an SD card. I got this card on sale for 60, and man is it worth it. I highly reccomend these while they are on sale, as the more expensive ones can be up to 100 off
Infin8alx –
Great performing memory card with the Nintendo themed mushroom on it. Sure you could put just any ol regular Micro SD card in your switch and it will work just the same, but having that color scheme and mushroom on it give it a nice touch. It allows for download and storing all my digital game purchases from the Nintendo online digital store while keeping my internal Nintendo switch free for storing game progress saves. Just pop the card in the micro SD slot and youre ready to download anything purchased from the digital store. If youre the youre the type that prefers to have a digital game collection then you may want to go with the larger 256gb capacity SD card, but this really has worked well to hold the 56 full digital games purchased so far.
Brett –
Works great The Switch is a great console, and even if you rarely purchase digital games like me, youll still need an SD card eventually, what with all the DLC and patches taking up space. Having a Nintendo branded SD card isnt necessary, but you might as well when its on sale
Ratan –
Great little memory card that looks really cool and performs very well. You may run out of space though if you download or install multiple games so as long as you space manage, youll be fine.Definitely recommend but would advise a memory card with more capacity. Id say 128 GB minimum. I now use a 500 GB because i like to install everything which i dont advise unless you like to do that.
YOLO –
SANDISK 128GB MICROSDXC MEMORY CARD FOR NINTENDO SWITCHI purchased this when Best Buy put it on sale. I own the Nintendo Switch 32GB Console Neon RedNeon Blue JoyCon. I am not an avid video game player, at all. I purchased this during COVID19, July 28, 2020, because my sisters asked me to so that we can play in our respective States all three of us live in different States and in different time zones like we used to when we were little and had Nintendo 64. 128GB is quite a lot for me, and I will never use all that space, but it was on sale, so why not.
69ismightyfine –
Its a memory card. It fits the Nintendo Switch Lite. Its updatesformats upon insertion. It adds extra storage. What else can I say Buy it or dont. I dont care
Laytonyan –
I use this with my Nintendo Switch Lite system. Its been over a year and I havent had any problems. Make sure you buy this from a reputable store like Bestbuy, as opposed to a third party online seller that might sell you a fake. Also, Bestbuy does pr ice mat ch. Make sure youre not 0ver pay1ng.
RobM –
My kids were recently unable to update some games due to the lack of space on their Switch. After looking at the options that were Nintendo branded as well as nonNintendo branded. For the price this was the clear winner. Easy to install, format, and use. Basically plug and play.
PS4Anon –
I didnt realize how useful this could be until I actually bought it. Initially I bought it just to have more screenshot space but now I can also fit a lot more games on my Switch. That eliminates the need for me to decide which games to delete when the storage is full and redownload games when I decide that Im in the mood for them. Now I have enough room for all my games and can quickly switch between them at my leisure.Ive had it for a month and its still working fine.
fromThebogs –
Found an Excellent price on a reliable product. When buying sd cards from other sources there is always the chance of the cards being advertised with more storage than they actually posses. So genuine brands from a trustworthy retailer, at very economical prices, is always welcome.
Kelli –
Pros Have had no problems at all. Does what it says on the tin. Glad I went for the largest size I could get, as the kid has already half filled it with new games.
Yuman –
Purchased as a Christmas present for our nephew. This flash card was easy to install and setup. Seems to have improved the overall operation of his Nintendo Switch. He is very happy with the results and says playing with his Nintendo Switch a lot more fun. Having not seen him playing with the Nintendo Switch before the flash card I dont have a basis to say how much better it is, hut he seems to be pleased.
MamoXMamo –
The 256GB option might be a bit much if the user or person you are getting this for is using mostly physical game disks instead of digital copies. This is a food compromise as it gives enough storage to download a few digital games and the rest of your collection be physical copies. It also has a cute mushroom logo on the disk storage as well
Sockit2meboy –
It is so nice to have all the games you want to play downloaded and ready to go Switch necessity Other brands will have complications when games are updated. Some will force you to delete games due to corruption. Not this one
GadgetryTech –
Considering the capacity and how fast this is, it is an excellent value. We have two of these now, one for each switch, and the performance is excellent. With these you dont have to format anything. Just open the package, stick the card in, and youre good to goI think for the small difference in price its worth it to go for the 128GB over the 64GB just for the piece of mind. Ive tried other storage cards before and had issues. Of the 1520 SanDisk flash memory cards Ive used over the years, not one has ever failed me.
tagasugbu99 –
Great expansion for the Nintendo switch storage. Got this on sale for almost the same price as the the extreme version of SanDisk with the same capacity. My son was so glad about this microSD card. Highly recommended if the price is right.
Anonymous –
My new Nintendo Switch microSD Card came WAY earlier than I anticipated and came in a nice package. Works on my Switch flawlessly. I was concerned when tracking my order wasnt really possible since after the label was created, nothing updated, but I would imagine that is a mere bug or the like. Despite that very tiny concern, I am very satisfied with my purchase and with my promo code too no less
Seanjitsu –
You will eventually run into a storage problem with the more games you purchase and play. Your game save files are precious do not wait until you have to be faced with the dilemma of choosing which file to delete. I bought this as a deal of the day. It was a great deal I had to watch a YouTube video to assist me with transferring data from the old card to this new one. Overall the process to transfer that data wasnt too difficult. It was well worth the time and effort.
Anonymous –
This SD card does exactly what it says. It was easy to install my 8 year old son did it himself and suddenly he was able to update his current game and download a couple more. The Switch is functioning optimally now. I thought the price was reasonable for the memory it provides. Its branded for Switch, not sure if it makes any difference but I didnt want to risk it. Happy with my purchase.
Matthew –
I purchased this for 15 and that is a good price… I was coming to leave a positive review only to see that this is now being sold for 40.. thats disgusting.I youre wanting to pay that much for a mushroom logo on ur SD Card.. I guess go for it.. but you can buy this same card on amazon by the name of Samsung Evo U3 MBME128GAAM.. literally the same card without the nintendo branding.. it even comes with an adapter which this nintendo card does not come with..
codegumi –
If you think you dont need an sd card you are like me and underestimating how quickly space on the switch gets filled up. Not only will this help you increase your storage, the design is great for both legend of Zelda fans and cute for those who havent played….yet.
Jurrell –
I felt like anything over 128 would be a bit overkill for me. But, then again Im the only person who uses this console not for family usage. This takes care of all my games, ingame videos, screenshots and streaming softwares.I currently have over 70gb of available space and more than enough games and general content to enjoy.
HEAVYTRAFFIC –
What a lifesaver. I am pretty clueless about this gaming thing. My daughter was very surprised I remembered to get a memory card for her switch. Apparently, this is a musthave . She was happy and I looked like a hero. Thanks, Best Buy for suggesting it.
Hywired –
You would probably think that this is a gimmick just for Nintendo and SanDisk getting together just to sell more micro SD cards, but after purchasing other brands of cards even buying SanDisk these SD cards for my Nintendo switch Ive always had problems with them. One certain micro SD card getting really really hot and almost melting the SD card slot of one of my switches. This specially made for the Nintendo switch is awesome. I bought one for each of our family members and weve never had a problem since.
Mickster –
I got this item on sale and I was very pleased how it worked in my Nintendo Switch. Honestly, for the price, it was a steal. If you download games, you need this Nintendo approved microSD card. I inserted it and it was recognized by my Switch. Speeds seem decent and I havent had any issues yet. Highly recommend especially if you get it under 20.
Buyer –
Very good 128 MicroSD card. No issues. Switched recognized it instantly. Most games will allow you to transfer somemost data to the SD card however a few games do not. It has dramatically cut down on data stored on the system memory, which is of course the idea. No complaints.
ChristineW –
I got this item for free when purchasing the Switch Online Family Membership. I missed out on a deal purchasing the membership elsewhere, so it seemed like an ok deal to get the free SD card instead.I already have a SD card in my Switch and it still has space available, so I opted to instead use this in the old cell phone my daughter uses to play games and watch movies. It is working fine in the old phone and she no longer gets errors about being low on storage.
ProgrammingPrincess –
Works great for my switch to hold all of my digital games. I just had to format the SD card for it to be recognized BEFORE putting any data on it. It was easy, the switch prompted me to do with a system update message. After doing that it was recognized and THEN I put all of the data on the SD card. Would recommend
Pricepromise –
This is my back up sam disk in my last review I recommend everyone who owns a nintendo switch should have one two or even 3 for backup depending on how much they play or data downloaded. Personally I have like 6 only the best SAM DISK offcourse my opinion, but honestly I havent found anything or anyone better other than a sam disk. You can use it for yourself and be the judge.
OSDesigner –
IF you own a Nintendo Switch Lite Yellow version. This Super Mario Gold Super Star memory card is an instant buy.Its size is 256GB making it the best accessory for your Yellow Nintendo Switch Lite.Easy to install, all your console needs is an update to use SD XC card.Play and screen capture your games without Limit with this gem
Michaels –
Works very well with the Nintendo Switch and is very fast. Id recommend this for the Switch. It should work well for other high speed needs as well like a mobile phone. The size of the SD card is sufficient for a lot of games on Switch. Id recommend 256 minimum to avoid swapping out cards often.
KTMC –
When I found out that one of my games was 32GB and my system storage was 26GB it made me frustrated that the fact I payed 30 for a game that comes in a big case when the gamecard itself is small and it takes up that much storage. So I got the 256GB and now Im glad I get to play that game and my other games too and not have to worry about using up all of my storage. It also comes at a good price and is worth the purchase and I recommend getting this if you a gamer like me.
vikingm01 –
This card was used to upgrade a Nintendo Switch Lites Teal memory to support digital downloads. It was fast with retrieving games to play and has A LOT of space to download them. It was very easy to install and has caused me no trouble whatsoever I hope you have found this review helpful
danhorntx –
Sure you could save a few bucks and buy a nonNintendo licensed memory card but where is the fun in that. This card performs really well and looks neat doing it. I love having a dedicated card for my Switch thats easy to tell apart from my other MicroSD cards.
Ben –
What more could you want from a memory card you say How about an amazing gold Hyrule crest On a more serious note, The memory card worked perfectly for my first generation Nintendo switch. More storage More games Going to order more for my DSLR camera just because.
Tinsley –
I had no idea how little memory the Nintendo Switch had and that I would need a MicroSD card for any digital game download. This SanDisk 256GB microSDXC Memory Card for Nintendo Switch was easy to install and use.I chose this because it was large and should hold about 25 games depending on their size.
Jack –
I saw a promotion for this micro SDXC memory card online and went to the Best Buy site to check it out. It said it was for the Nintendo Switch but it works great in any product that will accept and utilize the 128Gb Some older cameras and other products can only accept smaller Gb cards. The only downside was it did not come with an adaptor to use in a standard SD receptacle. Transfer speeds were very good as well at 10090 up to readwrite.
Sagar –
Absolutely fantastic. My switch was fast running out of space as the terrible built in 32gb of storage on the switch will not last, especially with the amount of games to purchase, but Adding 128gb micro sd to the mix is so much better. Also genuine product, maxed out all space before usage. Write speed is very quick. A

Being a hoarder, or collector as I like to call it, I hate having to delete games to make space for new ones. With that said, this 256GB microSDXC Memory Card for Nintendo Switch by SanDisk is the way to go if youre anything like myself. The standard 32GB internal storage featured on the Switch just isnt enough if you plan to have a respectablesized digital library considering the consoles 2021 eShop lineup, this memory card will be worth every penny. With an easy installationjust behind the kickstandI was able to insert it, download all the titles Ive collected over the years in a short amount of time. An absolute musthave. Cheers
Leonid –
This SanDisk 64GB memory card is awesome Just barely bought a new Canon camera and didnt have a memory card, so decided to go with this one because of the amount of space for the low price Definitely what I was looking for. This memory card holds a ton of pictures that can be taken in super high quality, plus holds a lot of highly quality videos as well. Great speeds, excellent writeability. When I want to take the picturesvideos off of the memory card, I just plug it into the computerlaptop and I am able to remove the files super easily. Highly recommend this memory card
iamyourfather –
I didnt realize how essential this accessory was for the Switch until I was thinking and reading about setting up the console after Christmas. You really need at least 64 GB in order to use NES Online and save progress on games, esp. if there are multiple gamers saving multiple games in your household.
Bill –
Its nice to have a large size card for eShop games and saves. I dont like swapping cards, so the bigger the better I have no issues with storage space.SanDisk is the best brand out there, so its extremely reliable and great performance.I also appreciate the Mario Star and vibrant color A nice touch.Get it on sale or use some rewards points otherwise its a little too expensive.
Bryan –
Bought this to expand the memory of my Nintendo Switch. Worth every penny. It allowed me to play recent purchases that required a large download like Borderlands and Bioshock Collection. Was able to use point from Best Buys rewards and bring the price down further. Installation was easy and allows for more games on my Switch
mike –
Was the cheapest price I could find and picked up in store. Couldnt wait to get my hands on one. Nice little packaging and easy to Mount into my Nintendo switch. Pretty much plug and play with no issues. Glad I pulled the trigger and now can store all my games without having to delete and redownload games on my switchs local storage. Highly recommend getting this size if you do a lot of digital downloads.
LevelUpInSTEM –
Definitely a necessary purchase for the Switch if you plan to play more than a couple games. I find that 256gb is a good amount for my purposes, but you may need more if you plan to play lots of big triple A games. I always buy Nintendo Certified products to maintain the warranty.
Wisewizard777 –
SUPER HYPED about the 256gb AND the NINTENDO character imprint Its awesome not just for the Nintendo Switch, as its versatileIt can be used on most other devices that allow the use of microSD. It also adds POP to your devices with the Nintendo characters imprint, at least for the video game fanatic.
HollowArt –
This helped put so much. I bought this micro as card for a family member child, who was looking to install more games onto the Switch. This helped out greatly and further more, was easy to install and format. Save yourself the headache when buying a Switch and purchase a large memory sized micro sd card.
Card –
The product was great. However, I believe your pickup system is flawed. Instead of having random teens with bad uniforms pop up 20 minutes later is not efficient. You should have a designated pickup manager to great cars, then they can cue back employees to bring products. This will ensure proper check in. Then, your poorly uniformed employees can bring items to car in numbered spot. Creating a level of comfort and efficiency. Thanks
Jerry –
You can get any micro SD card for your Nintendo Switch. Dont be fooled into buying something tailor marketed . I happened to buy this one when it was on sale. I just liked the SuperStar design. So would I recommend this item NO. You can buy an SD card of higher quality or capacity for the same price.
Katie –
If youre like me, youre terrified your Animal Crossing New Horizons island may be lost due to memory corruption. That has not happened with this memory card. The island of Peach thanks you, SanDisk, because Id be beside myself if I lost Raymond and my orange airport.
Jeff –
Got this card on special… It was about 40 dollars or so.. pretty good solid card, good brand and also has a cool Nintendo graphic on it.Definitely worth it. As games are now getting bigger, you will definitely need the bigger storage that this card provides.
hippo –
Got this on sale for a great price. Very pleased with this purchase because games on the switch are not 50gb like other consoles and PC so this is a nice purchase for those of you who are just starting out. Would recommend getting a couple or few of these versus one big fat terabyte since there can be some possible corruptions with sandisks but overall this is a nice pick for starters.
DannyG –
Just put the memory card in which is specifically for the switch into 2 Nintendo Switch units and neither one will recognize the MicroSD card. Following thr instructions, I turned the switch off and inserted the card. Then turned on the switch. I only saw the Nintendo logo screen and waiting for 20 min it would not go past that screen. The other switch did recognize the card and tried to format the card, but later after restarting, it took me back to the same screen to format the drive stating the MicroSD card cannot be used. Honestly I would have thought using thr Nintendo brand sdxc SD card would prevent issues such as this.
Bmac –
I bought this for my son. I did not realize that you can add memory to the switch system. He wanted to buy a game online and did not have enough memory. I went to Best buy and found it no problem. I do recommend this product.
Beastlybekah –
So I ordered this and it did not ever show up it got lost. But I got a refund and bought it again and it works great and with two full games all my game data and more I have 79 gb left. you can use a regular sd, it doesnt have to be the Nintendo one, but I just wanted the little speed mushroom guy. you can buy the same thing for cheaper by buying one without the mushroom
Alison –
Purchased a game for my grandson for his birthday open the case no game read more needed this SIM card to play game not very tech minded purchased immediately arrived 2 days latter my grandson is thrilled with it and has expanded his memory and downloaded his game so everyone is very happy thank you Nintendo
danchiko24 –
have had no issues with it after installing. my switch read the sd card alright, just thankful i didnt end up with a defective card since some reviews here are saying their switch isnt reading it I have plenty of games now, and theres still enough space for more.

I went with this specific SD card after having trouble getting random SD cards to work with other devices. This being officially branded by Nintendo, I knew I wouldnt have to return it. This is easy to install and adds as much storage as I could imagine I would need for the Switch.
Judithkenosha –
I love this memory card for my switch. It has 128GB of memory which gives me so much space on my switch for games, photos, and videos. I can bow download as much as I want with very little concern if I have enough space. I highly recommend this for anyone needing more space for their switch. Also works great for cell phones by the way if you need a great memory card for your phone.
GamerDad –
Ran out of space for games on my Nintendo Switch so I purchased the 256 expansion disk. It was easy to install and no special formatting was necessary, just plug and play. I now have increase space to load additional games.
DjPugz –
I bought this when I first bought my Nintendo Switch. I had no idea what memory card to buy and I figured that I should buy the original to avoid any issues. Now that I have switched to a bigger micro sd card that is not licensed by Nintendo, I have not noticed any difference at all. I would recommend buying another SanDisk Micro SDXC card instead unless this card is on sale.
Anonymous –
A significant expansion from the switchs internal memory size The Switchs internal memory is 32GB, so this increases the total memory by 5x.Speed specs suggest its the fastest possible SD card for the switch, though I havent idependently verified that it meets those specs.I cant comment on the longevity other than to say its lasted me the month Ive used it.
Alexc626 –
so glad I bought this. Never have to think about my switch getting too full and not working properly. Not sure If Im even close to the 128gb mark already but I believe I have around 12 games and so far so good. I would get this one over the 64gb for a few extra bucks.
Anonymous –
Its as simple as insert, turn the console on and its ready to go, no set up needed and the console has a dedicated slot for it on the bottom. Doesnt effect the look of the console but significantly improved how it runs. Absolutely worth picking up if you plan to play multiple games or are downloading any
eatdriveplay –
Im sure Im not the only one, but I didnt trust another product outside of something made for my Nintendo Switch. I bought this and downloaded several dozens of games on the Nintendo store and only used 15th of the memory. Would recommend parents buying the 256 version for their kids as some games can get pretty large in size.
JohnR –
Since Ive downloaded quite a few large games for my Switch, I needed to buy a new memory card that could hold everything with some room to spare. This card was a great deal at the time, and I was able to pick it up curbside. I popped it into my Switch, and it was ready to go in minutes. So far I havent had any issues while downloading games to this card, or playing them. While I got a good deal on this card, if there was a better deal on a similar nonNintendo branded item, I would go with that. There is absolutely no difference between this and a regular SanDisk card, just the yellow color and Nintendo graphic. Still, if Im reviewing this item, it works perfectly.
yano –
This helped me a ton with the space on my Switch because I was running super low. Though I wish I had bout the 128GB one because I play with it so much that some games take up so much space. So that part was my fault on my end. I underestimated the amount I needed. Other than that this is still a good product.
Chuck74 –
This memory card gives plenty of extra room for all your games. Simple to use just pop it into the slot and done. Stores all your games progress. That way you can be playing multiple games and not have to remove old games from system to install a new game.
Survivor147 –
I am a new Switch user and wanted to start downloading more games as opposed to buying the physical copy. I ordered this online and it was delivered the same day And it works great Easy to use. Highly recommend
Defhook –
Our kids received Nintendo switches for Christmas. We decided to buy the memory cards since a lot of the games can be downloaded from the nintendo store. These SD cars seem to be a little pricier than the average 128 gb SD card. Thankfully Best Buy came out with a sweat deal, some bonus points kicked in and I was able to purchase them for a lower price. My kids were ecstatic that their memory cards had a Super Mario character on them.
MoMoJoJo –
If you plan to download and plan tons of games on your Nintendo Switch, opt for additional storage. I purchased this thinking it wouldnt be enough for all the games we had and I was wrong If you have 5 games or more just hit the buy button. You want be disappointed.
BurnsyNYY –
I bought this specific micro sd because it was Nintendos preferred one to use. I know normal micros work on the Switch, but Im very cautious and got this one. Very easy to install and transfer data to from my computer. I had a much smaller micro before this one and just copied the files from the first one to this one.
FWK2019 –
I got this for memory in the Nintendo Switch, because it only comes with something like 32gb of internal.Decided to purchase this during the big sales after Thanksgiving, because the price was right.Yes, I could have bought the regular SanDisk with the same features, but I like everything to match and be licensed for my own protection. Now keep in mind, Im not opposed to becoming all digital with gaming one day, but as for now, I am old school and prefer tangible games. This is good amount of memory for me, and quite frankly rather has extra then not enough.
IndustrialisGoodForYourBr –
Would be great if it worked. Tried all suggested tips at home and the Switch does not recognize it. First time buying an sd card for our Switch one owner, its been well cared for so I dont see how it could be the device. Will be going to the store today to see what the problem is hopefully.
Queenkk –
These work great. I bought my twins the Switch a few years back. They barely used them. Well, now they want to use them all the time. I was unaware the memory in these are enough for maybe a game. So I was off to find storage. I bought some other scandisks unaware the one for the switch has to be a micro Returned the others and was referred to these. They are made especially for the switch. Now all is right with the world and my twins can downloads tons of games. Thank you Scandisk for saving the day
JLV96 –
I typically review things after long term use, Ive had this card for almost a year and it Works as intended, definitely a must have if you need extra storage for the switch. No issue just insert into the switch and go. Recommend catching it on sale though price comes down significantly. Nintendo licensed product and design is a nice touch.
Schnortz –
I figured my daughter might add a few games to her new Switch that having the additional memory card might be helpful. However, she picked up quite a few positively reviewed and recommended downloadableonly games at a really good sale price during the holiday season that it became necessary. Luckily the card from SanDisk a company whose cards Ive used with multiple digital cameras, videocameras and phones over the years was also on sale during the same season.
Shane –
My switch was running out of internal space. I was having to delete games. This card slides in easily behind the stand and is additional space for the switch to use. If you download A LOT of games, you may want to go with 512 GB. It is tiny so handle with care.
Anonymous –
It got to a point where I needed more memory for my switch and this was the perfect most affordable option to me As a switch doesnt have much memory this is perfect if you want quiet a few games to play Dose what it says on the tin type product 1010 would recomend
Jamin –
it does the job and satisfies my Zelda fixation. I bought it as the deal of the day. I would only buy the Nintendo Switch licensed cards when they are on sale, the branding is not worth the extra cost. Bought this for my switch lite and it works just as well as the nonbranded one I bought for my regular switch.
Chris –
It does the job of a microSDXC and isnt only usable on Switch. You can use it for any device that supports microSDXC. Note that it does not include an SD adapter so youd need to have one already to use it as such. Its got a nice Nintendo design for diehard fans but know that youre paying a bit of a premium for that design.
BurtonM –
As time has gone on I realized I dont want to be lugging around game cartridges and dont play on selling them once I beat them. Im completely embracing the digital age This is way more than enough space to put all my switch games on and them some Incredible
SaPe –
Originally bought this for 79 during Black Friday and do not regret my decision at all This SD card works well with no issue and now I have a ton of space on my Switch that originally only had 32gb of internal storage. Plus, the color scheme of this particular SD card matches really well with the Animal Crossing Switch I own. Even if this isnt the SD card you end up with, I would highly recommend all Switch owners purchase an SD card for more available space.
Tmluna01 –
I ended up returning this because I dont need the official one. I mean its nice to know it works 100, but so do other u3 microsd cards. Just be careful when you order online because those can be fake, but if you get something like a legit Samsung microsd card, then that will most likely be cheaper and work just as well as this overpriced SD card.To test out the speed and authenticity of your MicroSD cards, use a software called H2testw. Just Youtube tutorials. It has saved me more than once with fakes.
Anonymous –
SD cards for the switch are usually more expensive. Especially when its 64gb and above. However this SD card was cheaper than other ones and was officially approved by Nintendo. I wanted to look for an official Nintendo SD card as I know the switch can be sensitive with 3rd party hardware and software. This card was cheaper than I though with a lovely design inspired by legend of zelda and installs really easily just under the kickstand of the normal switch.
Jonn –
I will say the price at first steered me away at first. However, I went with it anyway. I wanted to make sure it would be a long time before I have to think about replacing this little microSD. 60 to hold a bucket load of 60 games Sounds good to me.Definitely would recommend this to anyone wanting to maximize their Switch storage. Especially if they dont want to worry about replacing the card super often. Its a yes from me dog.
zombot –
Okay, I know there is a cheaper, similar version of this product by the exact same manufacturer, except this is yellow and has the Nintendo Switch logo on it with the Starman. That said, I bought this specific item to differentiate it from other Micro SD cards I may have. I paid the extra money not just for the brand licensing, but for the fact that this is a teeny, expensive chip the size of a human thumbnail, and if I should ever drop it, the bright yellow color will make it easier for my aging eyes to see it… unless of course I drop it on a bright yellow floor. Before I got this, I ran out of native memory on my Switch and had to store many games mostly downloaded retro titles on the Cloud. But now I can store EVERY TITLE I OWN on this little yellow chip, and still have way more room to fill. Worth the 70
Mandy74 –
This is great My current sim card is only 32 G. We are able to save so much with this new card. I will also be able to download more games to our switch as well. My daughter was super excited to know we can download more games.
Anonymous –
This is great to have if you have the Nintendo Switch. The games take up a lot of room and you only have so much on the actual system. This adds more space and you can download more games if you dont have the physical game. And its easy to install and set up.
Tyler –
Worth the money. I decided it would be better to just buy one memory card with a large amount of storage space on it so we did not have to keep switching between memory cards. Same reason I buy digital game data. I have young children ages 6 and under and I find that just one memory card in that constantly stays in the device is perfect and makes a lot of matters less complicated. Came when it said it would. Perfect condition. Would buy again if I had to, but the memory on it is fantastic, so I probably wont have to for a while.
GlobeTrotter –
Snagged this memory card for my Nintendo Switch and it has been a very good experience so far. I am in the process of switching to digital only games and this card is letting me do just that.Readwrite speeds are high enough that I dont experience any latency. 128GB is generous and allows me to hold plenty of games in my console. The RedWhite card design with Nintendo label is attractive as well
Jsaint –
I immediately loaded all the existing games and data onto the card. Nintendo games did not appear to have issues. Fortnite did not like being moved and had to be placed back on the Switch internal memory. Too bad since this is by far the largest game and data storage user on the Switch.
Daria –
The SD card is really easy to insert works immediately. Not much to complain about. Thus far the only tricky part was removing the packaging but it was sealed really well. If I go on to replace this micro SD with a different one, I know I will have a handy little case for it until I find a way to repurpose it. It didnt take long for the package to arrive and knowing it was compatible with the Switch, I was confident I wasnt going to waste my money on something that wouldnt work with my console. Ive had it for about a week now and didnt encounter any issues. Very good.
Faye –
Does what ot says on the tin, no corrupted files works perfectly as its made for a switch. The only thing i always regret about getting a switch though are the ridiculous prices nintendo charge for anything with their names on this is no exception. My boyfriend literally bought a 250gb micro sd for the same price amd i got my 64gb sd for so sometimes i definitely feel ripped off
Rondo –
This card turned out to be the red version with the mushroom head on it I was super pumped to see that when I opened the package. I wont ever need to purchase another card, this thing has more than enough space, especially for someone like me who basically only purchases physical versions of games. Installing it is simple too, just place it under the kickstand on the back and then follow the instructions to update your system, poof youre done.
beaverkrusher –
bought this for the Nintendo switch and they never came back in stock, so i ended up using it in another device and it works great. my device i use it in only recommends a 64gb card but this does seem to work well still.the price point i bought it at was good, but now they sell for 99 which is a bit much IMO when you can buy one with double the gb for a few bucks more
TheGreat26 –
If you play and download a lot of games then this 256GB memory card will be more than enough. I dont like having to deal with the hassle of deleting games just to make room for new ones. Also I bought this so I wouldnt have to keep switching different memory cards and I can just manage all my games in one.
Cecil –
It works great. I didnt need a ton of extra space on my switch since I mostly buy cartridges. But I definitely have enough nindies now that I needed more gb. I could have gotten a bigger sd card but zelda.
dumlaox –
Its a great SD card from a reputable manufacturer. For the most part, this is a great starter card for those wanting to dabble in digital content for the Switch. However, you can easily go for a non Nintendoaffiliated card with the same capacity for a much lower price without losing out on functionality. Go that route instead and put the savings towards another game.
nwin –
This card is the exact same as a non branded card with similar specifications. But if the price doesnt matter to you, then this card works perfectly. You will almost never actually see the card, so keep that in mind. This would be a good gift idea for nontechnical parents who dont quite know what speed microSD card to buy their kids.
NHGOneMic919 –
Ive had hard times with SD cards but this one works and Ive had no issues with it. I would rather pay a little extra to get something I know is marketed for the Switch by a top SD card company. SanDisk is one of the best. Very pleased.
Ryan –
Do you need a Switch branded SD card for your Nintendo Switch No. Does it give warm fuzzies that if something doesnt work you can call Nintendo or Sandisk and get support Maybe. Is it a neat little design for an SD Card and does it work well with the switch Yes indeedFirst SD card that made me go out and buy a faster card reader after it took over an hour to migrate 64GB from old card to new.Would definitely recommend
Susan –
This little guy rocks. It will get the job done if youre only planning on downloading a handful of games on the switch. I highly recommend this product Although, if youre an avid gamer who dabbles in many games, maybe consider the 256gb card instead.
Chels –
I had been wanting a new and bigger micro SD card since my nintendo switchs was full. I was excited to see this on sale for a great price. Its cute too with the little toad stool on it Finally I can add new games onto my switch and take more screen shots, especially with New Pokemon Snap
Obaku –
I know I could have just gone and bought a SanDisk Extreme for a bit cheaper, but I love anything that has Nintendos brand on it. It just screams quality. And its a very attractive card. Get this if you just got your first Switch. You wont be using most of the storage unless youre gonna download a few games or save a lot of screenshots and videos.
mamaK95 –
My switch immediately realized I had put this in. As soon as it was in, I was promoted to update so it could work correctly. I did and everything seemed to start running better. Certain games were lagging, I assumed due to full storage because it was not an online game. Im glad that this has allowed me to have more space for games
Michael –
Cute Micro SD card with a logo that means its for my switch and not cameras and I think it came in a plastic casing that I use to house a second one.My word to the wise if you play many games, or intend to use the online shop at all, buy this right away put all your savesgames on it. Youll save so much time. I was able to move saves off the system to the card, then from a smaller card to what was freed up on the system, then move what was newly on the system from the smaller card into this 128er.Took longer than it should have, but now I have all my stuff here am not worried about not having the right card for a specific game can continue to download and play new games without worry of overcrowding the system.Get this bad boy on a sale, youre better off going with the largest GB you can find dont get the 32 or 64 trust me. Many games are gonna be 14 of 32. With 128 gigs, you could get 16 of those massive games without hassle and seriously, just go with me on this
Eriust –
Had a 128 GB memory card for my Switch, but ended up using over half the space with still more games Im looking forward to so decided to grab this 256 GB because it was on sale and I knew Id need it eventually. Looks cute with the Nintendo logo and works exactly as advertised. Good investment if youre planning to play a lot of different Switch games all digital download.
BestBuyPAC –
Easy to install and the amount of games I can put on this is insane. I will probably never completely use up all the memory allotted on this little card. Just popped it in and it was good to go in less than 30 seconds. Got it on sale during Black Friday, which sweetened the deal. Love that its Animal Crossing themed as well.
arichii –
I read reviews to see if it was worth it and a lot of reviews said it would crashcorrupt your switch. It hasnt done anything severe except for one of the paddles didnt register for a few minutes. Got it working after a few minutes. If you want more space in your switch, this probably is the best bet I got mine at a steal, which was on Black Friday for 40 Worth it
Deci –
I bought this micro sd card for my Nintendo Switch Lite. It runs very well. I dont notice any speed problems. Personally, I would like a 256GB micro sd card now that I have purchased several games, but I believe that 128GB is sufficient for the average user.
USNAVY127 –
Great value for the price What more can I say. A good option for the casual gamer who mainly collects physical games. If youre looking to buy a purely digital collection then I would go with a 400GB instead.
JnK4ev –
Great memory card. SANDISK is a good brand never had aby issues with them. With the Nintendo Switch logo, makes it very easy to establish which memory card it is….. And mega plus points with my son because it has a Mario power up mushroom.
Gonzo –
My son is always on his computer games playing on line with his friends and needed additional memory capability. I bought him the SanDisk 256GB micro SDXC Memory Card for his Nintendo Switch and he is very happy with it. He said he loves it and is now able to save a lot of his gaming stuff without using his Nintendo Switch memory. He said he loves it and would recommend it to anyone who is into gaming as much as he is.
angienovi –
This memory card holds alot 128G this came in handy for our family switch. Now we have tons of space for more games to be loaded and played. My granddaughter plays with it for hours while she visits. Perfect for the whole family.
CasualReviewerPhotographr –
Great little SD card. Looks cool, although cant see it cause of it being always inside my Nintendo Switch.Stores a great amount of digital games and hundreds of game photo captures.Fast enough for my speed requirements of game saving and loading.
Wayne630 –
I purchased the 512 GB SanDisk Nintendo MicroSDXC Card. I upgraded from a 200 GB Card that had 137 GB of Nintendo Switch Games on it. I used a Kingston USB 3 card reader. I got a solid 75 GB to 85 GB transfer rate both to and from my PC. The 137 GB took about 35 min to save the Nintendo folder to my PC and about the same to write to this 512 GB card. I put the card in the Switch and all the apps I tested worked fine.
Scott –
The Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart 8, 128 GB card arrived fast. It said 5 10 business days for the free shipping and the package arrived on day 5. The products were well packaged and I had it all hooked up in minutes. Nintendo is the King of Consoles when it comes to family fun. Adriana is a long time provider of Cameras and equipment for photography and I fully trust them. Keep up the solid work.
Anonymous –
Im very pleased with this SD card.Bought for my 10 year old lad who craved more storage. He got want he wanted and can now immerse himself in even more gaming Fully recommend for a quieter life…… until he needs more memory that is.
LarryE –
SANDISK 256GB MICROSDXC NINTE Used to save any Downloaded Games only I purchased this the largest extraexpended Memory available for my SpecialSon, since he was constantly running out of Memory for his newNintendoSwitch, and I didnt want to have anymore running outofmemory problems. Sofarsogood, No More Insufficient Memory Problems…..
Imedgarmb –
I really love this card. It has been very useful for me. The Nintendo switch console has very limited space and with only a few games mine was already out of space. However thanks to this card I have been able to expand its memory. Its very fast and effective. It works very well and is very easy to use. I recommend restarting your Nintendo after inserting the card. I really liked this product and would absolutely recommend.
Carleen –
I purchased this ScanDisk 256GB Memory Card for my 16 year old grandson who is an avid gamer and a huge fan of Nintendo Switch. The card will be put to very good use and he was simply thrilled to receive it. He had really been wantingneeding one and I got an awesome deal on it from Best Buy.
Perry –
There are other great microSD cards out there that work about as well for way less money, but this ones charming, yellow, and has a Super Star on it. Havent had any issues since I installed it in my Switch. If you feel like spending a little extra just because of aesthetics, get this. Otherwise, you can do about the same for a little less if you put in some research.
TechGeek286 –
The internal memory on the Switch fills up quickly. So if you plan on downloading games from Nintendo estore instead of using the mini game cartridges, youll need one of these. Its not the cheapest microSDXC but I feel like the quality is better than some of the generic brands out there. For the Switch just pop it in and start playing.
Leonard –
I used an random but new Micro SD card and it all gave was download errors and wasted my gigabyte data due to constant download restarts. I bought this one for 128GB and I couldnt be any happier. This one downloads EVERYTHING smoothly with no errors, even with bad connection. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this to those who are constantly getting errors on their micro sd cards and want a proper, smooth download. No need to format once you insert, just insert, download and play
David –
Works perfectly for the Switch and has a cool design to boot. It can be used for anything that uses a MicroSD card. I got one for free during a promotion for a Nintendo Online family membership. I already had a MicroSD for my Switch, so I was able to use it for a GoPro. Write speeds are decent.
BobbyT –
More than a fair price for a sandisk.I have never had any problems with their memory cards. They are very reliable and last. I think the nintendo versions of the disks are a little cheaper in cost than the normal sandisks which I think is unusual, considering its the same disk with different exterior graphics and colors.Never the less I highly recommend this brand.
Jeana –
Best place to grab this sd card, they had a great deal going when I got it and was delivered super quick And Ive not had any problems with it If your looking for a good trustworthy sd card, Id definitely go with this one Im very very satisfied with my purchase and have a lot of trust with Best Buy with my tech items that i need
Kbamos –
If you want to play any games on your switch you absolutely need to get this This card will be the most reliable compared to other micro SD cards since it is specifically formatted for the switch. I have seen many other reviews on regular SD cards where they stopped working shortly after using them and they had lost all their game data. Even though it is more expensive I feel assured that I will have my game data for a very long time.
Joshua –
Although the package doesnt include installation instructions, a quick online search helped me to install this into my Switch. The Switch updated its software automatically after turning it back on, and all is well. Good product, and a good price for upgrading this console.
Christine –
Just what I needed for my new game console. I use my roomies switch sometimes because his can hook up to the TV so the memory card allows me to play my games on his switch while retaining my save data for my own games. The memory card works great and so far I have no complaints.
BloodedLycan –
I needed a memory card for my switch and came across this one. It works great for its purpose. Holds alot of games, isnt slow, and I didnt need to format it. I like that it automatically connects with my switch lite and comes with a handy carrying case that fits perfect into my switch case.
techybabyfromLA –
Hey I got this for free yay But thats not the reason why I am giving this a 5 star. IN my honest opinion, yeah I am very honest with my reviews this is perfect for your switch. I have bunch of games for my switch and been playing Zelda, NBA 2k18the game that eat up most space and I still have more than half of storage. and dont forget that we have internal storage. Dont waste your time with a bigger storage unless you are a screenshot taker then maybe you do need a bigger space. But me, NO this is perfect
shadeofkenobi –
If you want to have a fair library of digital games from the estore on your Switch and you should then you are going to need to expand the memory with an SD card and this one has a cute mushroom on it Youll never see the cute card again after youve inserted it in the console, but youll know it is there making everything better If you can get the Nintendo branded one on sale for about the cost of other SD cards, then get this. The Nintendo branding may also be a consideration if you are giving as a gift. Seriously though, it is just like any other SD card, Im not sure what can really be said in a review that would be helpful. It does its job without any issues at all. Buy it
JustJo –
Gives me PLENTY of room. Ive downloaded 6 games and still have tons of room left on my card. Im not sure if I would have filled up the console itself with the 6 games but it would have been close. This way I dont have to choose games or keep track of little cards when Im traveling. Dropping a game cartridge at 30000 feet can mean you never find it in a cramped plane. So this and downloads work great
Danny –
Stumbled upon this during a GREAT sale and I couldnt be happier A very costeffective way to get the most out of your Nintendo Switch. However, Id probably look for alternatives if I had to pay full price for it. Glad Best Buy offers some fantastic deals
Huffpuff –
If youre like me you realized very quickly the space on the switch is not very accommodating towards digital games. So, youre here looking for more space. This space is leagues above the one given by the switch and seems to be a reasonable amount to cover any decent game collection. Id recommend this
Kota –
Ive anticipated buying the Nintendo switch forever but it never goes on sale. When you game a lot, you try to save however you can if you cant always afford every new shiny thing that comes out. This little card gets bundled free with purchase and I instantly jumped on it.I buy games, never sell and rarely delete if I can help it, so getting this card was an inevitable purchase. This will definitely last me a while since there are very few switch exclusives Ill get right away. And there isnt enough me to go thru that many games I have right now anyways.Hard to say how much this is worth wise, since I got this free and havent technically used it enough yet, but it definitely does the trick for the switch. Most Any gamers would want to keep onto the largest storage card they can get at a good price point. If you feel like you can get the GB use for your buck, Id go for it unless something bigger and compatible comes along.Ah and keep in mind, speed tests show that games installed on the switch tend to load faster than games installed on these cards, but these cards tend to load faster than the games cartridge counterpart. So good to check ahead of time when installing different kinds of games on various mediums as not all games followed this trend very drastically.
Casual gamer –
Got this little to upgrade the storage on my switch, was able to transfer the games I had store very quickly using the switchs internal storage manager. Runs games from the memory card very quickly, no extra loading time or lag. Also love that its Nintendo branded. Your not going to see it obviously but its a nice little touch I appreciate.
GadgetGuy –
This was just what I needed since Ive shifted to buying games digitally instead of cartridges. The cartridge cases and cartridges take up physical space driving me to buy my games digitally so this was just what I needed with a generous capacity too love the color too
camomof3 –
I purchased this as a companion piece to my sons Nintendo Switch. I am not tech savvy, so I kept going back and fourth on regular micro set cards and this one. After reading many reviews about issues with regular micro sd cards, I gave in and purchased this one. I would much rather pay more for an item that works than having to take a chance on another product. There have been no issues with this micro sd card. Games transfer seamlessly from device to card and new games install to the card without issue. At 256 go, there is plenty of room for games FYI, the Nintendo switch only held 4 games on the device itself, so as mentioned, this is a must have item.
Mmjr –
This memory card was on sale when I bought it, so it was much cheaper than any other micro SD card with a similar capacity and speed. Works great in my Switch with no issues. Games load properly and all that. The star is a cute touch.
CasualReviewerPhotographr –
Great little SD card. Looks cool, although cant see it cause of it being always inside my Nintendo Switch.Stores a large amount of digital games and hundreds of game photo captures.Fast enough for my speed requirements of game saving and loading.
thenewman624 –
Defiinelty the way to go if you need more storage on your Nintendo Switch since it is optomized for it. It allows for faster and more efficent read and write speeds which provides the best experience with any game. Even though it may be a little more expensive compared to general micro SD cards, it is well worth it
jediJ –
Recently purchased this for my switch light, since alot of switch games are digital or have digital add ons. ive installed 4 avg sized games and sill have almost half my card space left. i got it on sale, if you can get the sale price its well worth it. if not, youd be better getting a standard scn disc micro they are the same, but without the logo.
Chris –
I bought a Samsung memory card before this as apparently it was compatible. Managed to download just one game on to it and then no more would download. Bought this instead and its worked perfectly, all games downloaded, no issues at all, Id highly recommend buying this over any other apparently compatible cards.

Product works as intended. My only complaint is that the packaging it was in was ridiculousit was encased in one of those demonic plasticsealed things. Hard for even scissors to slice through.Anyway, the disc is great though. Easy to pop into the switch, just restart the device, and its good to go.

If you have a Nintendo Switch, that you will most likely need additional memory at some point. There are a lot of memory cards out there, and its nice that you can use just about any brand and size you want. I opted for this official, 256 GB version from SanDisk. Its debatable whether getting one that is endorsed by Nintendo really matters, but I figure that it cant hurt. Id like to think that theyve tried to match this card up to the Switch as perfectly as is possible. I got this on sale from Best Buy and its been working perfectly for several months now.

Be careful when purchasing these MICRO SDs. I purchased this one thinking it would save me time searching for the proper SD card for my switch but this ended up being worse than taking the time to research. I followed all steps to insert properly this SD and my switch was not able to read it. Ive restarted my switch, Ive inserted it while turned off, I took it out and tried three more times. I mean, I TRIED EVERYTHING, and it still doesnt work. Do the research and buy a proper SD card.

Picked this up on an incredible deal a few months ago. Switch games are small enough file sizes to where I probably dont have to worry about storage on it ever again. It was easy to insert into the console, Switch recognized it immediately. You can transfer game files to and from the built in console memory and the memory card. No brainer, especially for the sale price I got it for.

Some people can look at memory cards and be like I dont need one and others can be like I cant believe I didnt buy one before. For gamer through and through no matter what system you play an extra memory card is always good be it Nintendo for memory card Xbox or Playstation for external hard drive you always need more space for games and with newer technology comes more games but more games means more memory needed and sometimes you can have one memory card devoted to each game you have so that you have enough room but with 128 gigs like this card theres plenty of games you can put on and keep on gaming.

Excellent, gives me way more storage. I did get this half off, or it wouldve been nice to know any micro sd card would work. Disnt know till after the purchase. Either way, im happy just wouldve been nice to know i didnt need a Nintendo switch branded micro sd card.

This data card at best buy was a great purchase to upgrade my switch storage. Problem was nintendo made it a nightmare to transfer all my old data to this new card. All instructions are for a PC and if you follow them on a mac it doesnt work. You have to enter a terminal command in mac with the card loaded inorder to do it. Took a while to find that solution. Since then all works great.

I started with this microsd card. For its memory size, I think it was a great first move. Me personally, I have amassed a large amount of games, so I have since updated to a larger card. Still, this is more than ample to begin with, or for someone that has a limited amount of games. This was a great first move.

I bought this micro sd card together with my switch lite and after about 2 weeks of downloading games and playing, more than 23 of the storage on this card had already been filled I didnt even own that many large games at the time. So if you get a switch, you really should get this too as a start at least, I got the 400 GB one too later. The 32 GB space on the switch fills up really quickly.I have not noticed a difference between playing games stored on the switchs internal memory vs stored on this sd card I was really worried about possible lag.

This cool Nintendo based Micro SD card is great for the Nintendo switch with 128 GB of space. Class 10 card. Is red and has mario bro. Great for a start up card. Or have a couple for your downloaded games space. Comes with case.

Used it in my switch. Saved game purchases and an entire playthrough of Golf RPG… dont ask… onto it. Was changing SD cards to play my hard copy game saves and it fell out onto my white fireplace. Unfortunately, it blended in and that day or the next, my puppy was curious enough to chew it up. Had I just had a larger SD card in the first place, Id probably not have needed to store such small and delicate micro SDs. Its a great product, but the reason it gets 4 stars is so yall see this, heed my warning and spend the extra 2030 or whatever to get a 128 GB SD. You can save obviously twice the content to it, and not have to worry about where to keep a tiny little piece of tech storing hours of The Witcher or Mario. Cheers

THe summary saids it all. This card is great if you can get it for a decent price. What makes this expensive is the nintendo collaboration, which is great specially the 64GB zelda design, too bad thats on the 64GB. However you have to remember that you will not be seeing that image, its going to be inside the switch. With that being said, i would just get a regular SanDisk 128GB, which will cost much less than this, unless this is on sale. Then by all means get it Thats what i did, for some reason when i purchased mine, it was cheaper than the regular 128GB one, so i grabbed this one.

Rating and value The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 star rating is value. You can use any microSD card in a switch as long as it has the appropriate specs microSDXC and UHS1 as seen here. While I like the Nintendo branding, all it really does is increase price, as you are not likely to be taking out your microSD card regularly you really shouldnt be at all in most cases. The reason I purchased this one specifically was that it was a Deal of the Day and was therefore the best value for what I was looking for at that time specifically.Performance I have been using this for nearly a year, with regular use and it is performing as expected. I have several games downloaded onto the card that I play frequently and have not encountered any issues, as well as I have both downloaded and removed a variety of games that take up significant memory space, and have not encountered an issue yet. I have had it less than a year, so I wouldnt expect there to be any problems, and I hope that continues.

I prefer the Sandisk MicroSD cards for use in my Switch. This is the same as other cheaper cards that Best Buy sells, just marketed for the switch and with Nintendo graphics on the cards. Since I found this on sale, I got this version just for the Nintendo design. This does work great for increasing storage in your switch, and can be used on other devices if you need to upgrade further in the future.

I got nothing bad to say about this memory card. Its perfect for what my son will used it in the nintendo switch. I might need a bigger capacity later on. But, for now this will do. Its perfect.

These memory cards worked seamlessly and flawlessly with both my childrens Nintendo Switch consoles. Do not use Nintendos data transfer utility if you will be replacing the card with this one. Instead, shut the unit down, remove the old card and put it in a computer. Navigate to the folder Nintendo. Copy that folder to your computer. It will take 510 minutes. Then eject the old card and insert the new one into the computer. Open that card and drag the Nintendo folder into the new card. Again it will take 510 minutes. When done, eject the new card, insert it into the Switch and power on. Thats it

The main difference from this and a cheaper SanDisk Ultra, is this card is a U3 and the Ultra is U1. The U3 allows for faster installs and may save a few seconds on load times. The only reason I choose this card at the time was that it was on sale for only 3 more. I also get the awesome design along with 4x the storage space. For those wondering why the free space on the card read 119, it is because of the way gigabytes are calculated. The package has 1gb equaling 1,000,000,000 bytes. Really 1gb is 1,073,741,824 bytes. That 73,741,824 bytes 73.7 megabytes missing per gigabyte. That really adds up.All SD card and USB stick manufacturers use this calculation method not just Sandisk

If you have a lot of games on your switch, especially large games to use a lot of storage space, getting a micro usb for extra space is worth it. The design on this is very nice. Got this micro usb because it was on sale If it was not on sale, another scan disk with out the Nintendo design works just as well, but the design on this is a nice little Easter egg

Was running out of space on switch and was looking at either 128 or 256 micro sd. I read reviews and purchased since I purchase physical games mostly, recommended 128gb over the 256gb. The 128 gb micro sd card is easy to install and works just as it should.

This card turned out to be the red version with the mushroom head on it I was super pumped to see that when I opened the package. I wont ever need to purchase another card, this thing has more than enough space, especially for someone like me who basically only purchases physical versions of games so I can hopefully resell them or trade it in Installing this is simple too

My teenage son was overjoyed with this gift. He had run out of space on his Switch and needed the extra room. He had asked for a smaller capacity card but was thrilled that I got him the larger capacity of the 256 GB card.He has been using it from the go, and has been very pleased with the results.Would recommend this card to any Nintendo Switch user looking for more expansion room.

Ordering was easy, the representative we spoke to on the phone helped us get our price matched and helped us complete our order. Delivery was fast and simple, packing was intact and the SD card works great. Love the design on the card and cant beat having that much extra space on my switch lite.
