I love this lens. I have as my primary camera, a Sony A7RM4. I had been using zoom lenses for the most part. I bought this to use for travel and family photos. I find that this lens, along with an 85 mm, meets most of my needs, except where I need a telephoto. The picture quality is outstanding

Ive used canon 351.4 II, and its huge. And the bokeh is not as good as this sony 351.4 GM. The color of this GM lens is not as good as 2470 GM but Ill still keep it since its soooo small.

The Sony 35mm GM Lens is a phenomenal Lens. I have been through Sigma, Tamron and other brands but there is nothing like a Sony native Lens. The focus and clarity is worth it alone.

I mostly do portrait photography and love using the 35mm for it. This lens is more then i could have asked for. AF is super fast and at 1.4 this thing is so sharp you should be wearing safety glasses when you look at the images it takes. I use it on my A7iii and the weight of the lens is really good, even with a battery grip on the body. I have only had the lens for a few weeks and its already become my main lens. It fantastic in low light as well. I used it the other day during blue hour at the beach and was getting some crispy sharp images on the water.

I have used this lens on 4 shoots now and its as good as expected. Sharp as heck and focuses lightning quick. It isnt a heavy lens and the build quality is excellent.I will only be using this for photos so the focus breathing that the lens exhibits isnt as big of a deal to me but something to remember if you want to use it for video.

The precision, fast focus, and sharp images…Amazing This lens literally never leaves my camera. I have this 35mm on one camera, and my 85mm on the other for wedding days. All other sessions are shot on this 35mm. So glad I upgraded from the Sony 35 1.8 GM just cant be beat. I have no bad things to say. Just a friendly photographer reminder to get your lenses insured and get a clear filter so that if you get something on the glass, it isnt actually your lens

  7. blank

    MarcusP

Overall its an absolutely amazing lens. Sharp, build quality is top notch. Only issue is the focus breathing. It hunts back and forth so if youre someone who relies on autofocus just be careful with this lens.

  8. blank

    James

Amazing lens with sharp picture quality, fast focusing speed, beautiful bokeh, and form factor size, weight, and design. From the first day with receiving this lens, I dont have any desire of using other lenses I have.

Ive used a few 35mm lenses in the past, the main ones among them include Zeiss Distagon 35mm 1.4 Sigma DG DN 35mm f2.0 Nikon 35mm 1.4 Nikon 35mm 1.8 Z mount Nikon 35mm f2D Multiple Voigtlander 35mms 1.4s and 1.2sThis one is by far the best for the following reasons image quality is just so good, better than any Ive used sharp, almost no distortion, very little aberrations the bokeh is just so nice not sure how to describe or explain why this is particularly so with this lens size and weight also quality and design call me shallow, but this lens looks so good. HahaId strongly recommend this lens.

    Streetographer

I researched a single lens that would capture most of my everyday moments and for street photography. I ended up with this 35mm GM lens at the top of the list however, many have noticed it is not an inexpensive lens. Not being a pro photographer nor rich, it took a minute to decide. After having this lens for a few weeks, I do not have buyers remorse. I wish I had a zoom lens on a couple of occasions, but the finished product this lens produces without editing is impressive.Note Some of the pics attached are edited.

I can honestly say that I am obsessed with this lens. The best 35mm lens Ive ever owned. No regrets. I love being up close to my subjects when taking photos and this lens helps me better communicate with the models.

  12. blank

    James

So far Ive enjoyed trying to find reasons to use this lens. Wide open the bokeh is pleasant and the size of the lens along with the weight make it a great addition to my kit.

  13. blank

    Artur

This lens is so sharp and so good at controlling see a operation. I love you seen this length with my Sony or four because I can use crap mode and get the equivalent of a 50 mm lens. Yes this land will hurt a lot and its very noticeable when doing video but because I am a still photographer I do not mind at all I really really recommend this lens the build quality is just perfect strong I actually drop this lens already and he didnt he didnt even get a scratch from the ceramic floor.

  14. blank

    Happy

Awesome This lens is so light and sharp. Really makes that GMaster name

  15. blank

    Jesse

AMAZING Best 35mm that Ive ever owned. This lens is sharp from edge to edge. Sold my 35mm a while back and have used the 1635mm 2.8 side. The G master 2.8 is awesome, but 1.4 looks so much better lol. I love using this lens for lifestyle portraits as it allows you to get a lot of the background into your shots. Get this lens… You will not regret it

  16. blank

    Tony

Bought this and have used this for taking photos of family wide open and for landscapes stopped down. Great allaround sharp lens with excellent colors.

  17. blank

    AndoK

Ive had this lens for a month now, and it has become my favorite lens. The images off this come out so sharp even wide open. The focal length is perfect for environmental portraits. It has some beautiful bokeh, and the falloff is superb Theres is some vignetting, but thats easily fixed in post. The focus breathing is very obvious when using in manual mode, but its less noticable when just using it on AF. For photography, it has to be one of the best lenses Sony has put out.

  18. blank

    Joe

This lens is amazing. Perfect for environmental portraits and the 1.4 makes for super smooth background. It focuses fast and quietly. Very happy with my purchase

  19. blank

    Robert

Has instantly become my favorite lens. As well as the known sharpness, theres a quality to the images lacking in my other lenses at this focal length.

  20. blank

    Fabian

The lens is sharp, what more can I say on that Its light weight and compact which is perfect for packing minimal gear. I would give it a 5 star review but the focus breathing is an issue for me when recording video. You go from a 35mm to what appears to be 4045mm on a focus pull. Not a big deal on photos but its an annoyance on video work.

  21. blank

    JOHN

Awesome lens My first prime for my Sony and it has been nothing but fun to use. Im an amateur photographer but it definitely does the job of making me feel like a pro and making my photos come out better than what I thought I was capable of shooting. Good size, sharp, quick focus… I can go on and on. Highly recommend

  22. blank

    JASON

Near perfection. The best 35mm Sony makes from compact form factor, weight and autofocus is flawless. Colors are richer, image rendering is sharp and pleasing compared to the 35mm f1.4 Zeiss Distagon.

  23. blank

    Richard

What a beauty Its my very first G Master lens and so far, I love it The sharpness of my images even at 1.4. Definitely worth buying and a must for your Sony mirrorless camera.

  24. blank

    Mihai

Crystal clear. Great color and blazing accurate auto focus. I have several lenses from different manufacturers but Im blown away at how light and hood this lens is. 35 is my favorite size and this lens makes it perfect. I shoot on an a7m3 and this is great for my little one that runs around. I usually shoot wide open.

  25. blank

    Richard

This lens is definitely the nicest lens Ive ever used. The bokeh is beautiful and the solar flare is subtle. The lens has a nice weight to it and the build is top tier. No chromatic flaws or fringing. Very fast and little distortion. The price is definitely expensive but for the quality that it offers I think you wont regret it.

  26. blank

    Alff

Sharper than a Ginsu. Probably wont cut through a shoe and then slice a watermelon though, but the shoe and watermelon picts will be sharp.

  27. blank

    Rodney

Wow, this lens is special. Incredibly sharp and superb bokeh. Its in the same league as the 135mm GM.

  28. blank

    VioletSummers

This is my new favorite travel lens I just came from the Zeiss 35mm Distagon lens and I feel like that lens has way more chromatic aberration and is also way less sharp. The only thing that would make this lens better is that if the USA could figure out how to make one in the USA, so Ill knock off two points for that…35

  29. blank

    AKIKO

Way better than the Zeiss 35mm. The 35mm is my goto lens for portraits landscape, day to day stuff. Im so happy with this new lens. Super fast, SUPER SHARP.

  30. blank

    JASON

The lens is super sharp and focuses quickly and accurately. I imagine this lens will stay mounted on my A7RIII for a long time, as this focal length is extremely versatile. Highly recommended for Sony Alpha shooters

  31. blank

    Juno

This is a great, fast 35mm prime. The best part is the smaller size and weight compared to other 35mm f1.4 primes. Fast and silent autofocus is a plus.

  32. blank

    vince

This lens is so sharp you can use it to cut anything Very happy with this lens.

  33. blank

This is a great lens for any photographer, I love using this focal length when photographing couples, weddings, food and more…F1.4 really lets you get all those shots you need in dark situations.Combine this lens with a Sony camera body like the A7riii which is that I have and you never have to worry about focus again

  34. blank

    Trevauhn

my new favorite lens. Great for environmental portraits. A bit pricey but not much more than others on the market and its quality is way better.

  35. blank

    Paul

Im only an amateur, but even I can see how much better this lens is than any other Ive had before. Fast focus, depthoffield and bokeh look amazing. Makes the simplest shots pop. Feels like Ill be using this for years and years to come.

  36. blank

    Gregory

Incredibly sharp, fantastic bokeh and fairly lightweight. Minimum focusing distance of 9.8 inches a big plus. To paraphrase the motto of a certain sneaker brand Just buy it.

  37. blank

    Kelton

This is an excellent lens, especially as a kit lens. There is a little distortion at 28 mm depending on the distance and angle from the subject and, because of the variable aperture, you can get pleasing background blur at 28 mm where the lens is at F4 and also a 60 mm where the lens is at F5.6. Because of the large sensor on full frame cameras, the smaller aperture is not nearly as big of a deal as I thought it would be at first.I personally think this lens is quite sharp with nice contrast and good color. Autofocus is quick, quiet, and accurate in both video and stills it is a new native Sony lens with a linear motor after all. That said, you shouldnt buy this lens unless you know that you absolutely want the smallest zoom possible with an F4F5.6. As a kit lens, yes, its great, and I am not selling mine anytime soon. But, at full list price, I think the money could be better spent elsewhere. That is not a knock on this lens as I think Sony did an excellent job on the lens, I just dont know who this lens is actually designed for outside of needing something more compact and performant to bundle with the a7C kit.

  38. blank

    Jonathan

This was my latest purchase of a GMaster lens I am still waiting for my 50mm1.2. This lens is light, wellbuilt, and lives upto the GMaster name. Tack sharp. Fast focus. The only negatives loud focusing for video, and significant focus breathing. Otherwise, brilliant.

  39. blank

    Ralph

I use this lens on my A7SIII and it is just great. Sharp, fast, nice weight, looks good on the camera. Yes, there is a lot of focus breathing but I knew that up front. Love the lens anyway.

  40. blank

    michael

The AF is alright its not ground breaking. it also breathes a LOT. This copy was badly out of alignment with the left half of the frame soft while the right was in focus. equivalent lenses of this price come from japan by the other manufacturers. this one is offshored. Not going to exchange it and play the lens lottery again for 1400 a pop, nope.

  41. blank

    Charlie

Versatile, Sharp,Fast, and Light Its has quickly become my Go To prime lens. If you like 35mm focal length this is a good one.

  42. blank

    David

Everything I hoped it would becompact, lightweight, tack sharp. Focuses quite closely. For any Sony shooter who likes shooting at 35 mm, this is a great choice.

  43. blank

    Long

Believe me or not, this is the best 35mm lens has ever been created. It works flawlessly and products excellent image quality. Its size is also very small, so u can easily carry it around.

  44. blank

    Gary

Ive owned the previous Sony 35 1.4. It is a decent lens but has more than a few inconsistencies. I returned my first copy of the earlier model and the second was somewhat better, but still fell short of expectations. This new Sony GM 35mm 1.4 solves all of those issues. Its crisp and predictable across the board. Very well built. The autofocus is fast, very quite and spot on. Its a great photojournalism lens for street use, wider press conference public hearing work and also excellent for close portrait low light work. Color rendition is awesome similar to the Zeiss Loxia manual focus glass which is a true compliment. Im extremely pleased.

  45. blank

    Ken

This lens has been hyped to death. But, turns out, it lives up to it. The image I mean, what can I say Sharp in focus, creamy and beautiful, in soft focus. Works flawlessly with both my A73 and a7S3. Surprisingly light, and compact. So easy to carry around all day. Really, this lens is magic.

  46. blank

    D

This is my first 35mm prime lens, and what I can say is that this lens is downright amazing. Excellent for portraits and everyday use. It does has some weight to it, but overall a great purchase in my book.

  47. blank

    2124

Great for street scenes, environment and closeup portraits. Highquality images, compact. Pairs nicely with the 85GM.

  48. blank

    JUSTIN

This lens is so crisp. Im a videographer primarily, and I love the quality of video that comes with this fast lens. Just be sure to turn your IBIS off on your camera if on a tripod otherwise, it looses focus easily because of micro jitters. The few photos Ive taken with this lens are beautiful as well. Its a very versatile focal length.

  49. blank

    Paul

The 35mm 1.4 is the most important lens for me. Im glad Sony came out with this because it delivers the versatility of the 35mm field of view with the low light performance of 1.4. It is so incredibly sharp

  50. blank

    iamdez

Amazing. This is a very very very very very very nice lens. I used it on the A9II and A1 for weddings and colors are just beautiful. Very sharp. Sony really did a thing with this one. Why is it so cheap For this kind of lens I was expecting it to be around 2k like the 135 and 50 1.2.

  51. blank

    Mrpinoiboy92

I have the FE version of this from Sony. And upgrading from that to the G Master is night and day. Im a prime lens person and when Sony announced they were releasing a G master version of the 35 I was stoke. Yeah they have the Sigma, but Ive always branded myself with Sony and I dont regret picking this up.

  52. blank

    JAMES

This is a very sharp Lens that produces tack sharp images along with creamy bokeh for that 35mm 3D effect we all love. What else can I say, its a G Master.

  53. blank

    Huy

Its an absolutely amazing lens Fantastic walk around an environmental portrait lens with great image quality. I debated on giving it 4 stars for the heavy focus breathing in videos, that I was well aware of, but decided the images bumps it back up to 5 and is phenomenal for stills.

  54. blank

    Daniel

I cannot believe how good this lenses. Edge to edge sharpness is excellent. Its minimum focal distance is unbelievably close. Color contrast is what you would expect from a G master lens. Buy it.

  55. blank

    Charlie

Versatile, Sharp, Fast, and Light a great all aroud prime lense. If your looking for a good 35mm prime for your Sony FF this lens is one of the best

  56. blank

    JONATHAN

The form factor is amazing. Lightweight, smaller, and sharp This is a GM. The price is competitive with its competitor, and the size and sharpness of it def. competes.

  57. blank

    Timothy

A bit pricey but what an outstanding lens. Image quality, fast focusing, build, size and handling all are top notch. Used on both Sony a7r iv and a9 ii both achieved excellent results

  58. blank

    Dylan

AF is fast and accurate. Lens is sharp at f1.4 from centerto corners. Colors and bokeh are BEAUTIFUL With my original A9, size andweight are reasonable. I didnt feel the weight as an issue after walkingaround the indoor aquarium for 56hrsI have PeakDesign strap.Highly recommend for those looking for BEST 35mm

  59. blank

    Christopher

Light, compact and multifunctional is how I would describe this lens. Great for travel situations where you cant plan for what you expect to see. I find that capturing those great moments happens easily given the flexibility of this lens.

  60. blank

    Jonathan

I was skeptical at first since every reviewer out there raved about this lens, but it really does live up to the hype. This is lens is about as perfect as it gets. It just has that extra oomph in color and contrast that make shots sooc look like they were already edited. Combine that with corner to corner sharpness even wide open and you got a really special lens.Probably the only downside to this lens is the minor focus breathing. If you do videography that is a downside, but at the same time if you REALLY cared that much about smooth focus pulls youre probably not looking at this price range anyways.

  61. blank

    Mina

Extremely sharp lens and at that focal length of 35mm, it is very versatile. Not too big or heavy by any means. 67 mm filter size whichs perfect if you already own that size.

  62. blank

    George

I own 24mm and 35mm g master lenses, I see 35 are producing a way better quality and vivid photos than 24mm.Also, with an APC mode I can use this lens as 50mm,Amazing glass

  63. blank

    Jon

Impressed with the focusing speed and lens construction. Reasonable size and weight. Excellent sharpness.

  64. blank

    Conrad

Focus breathing with used for video, use the 35mm 1.8.But for Still photos, this cannot be beat.

  65. blank

    Michael

I have twenty Sony Alpha lenses and love them all. If I could have only ONE lens for my NEX7, A7R2, or A7R4 cameras I would choose the FE 35mm f1.4 GM. Its TERRIFIC. If I couldnt have THAT lens I would choose my 25mm or 40mm ZEISS BATIS or my Sony 24105 F4 Zoom. If money was an issue Id pick the 35mm F1.8 option. The GM lens is the ULTIMATE lens for the SONY cameras though.

  66. blank

    Bruce

Crisp and clear with a beautiful bokeh, this lens can cover a lot of subjects. Great for low light and landscape, portrait, and can get up close for some interesting shots. Sony G Master lenses are awesome glass and worth every penny

  67. blank

    John

Loving this lens so far.It replaces the 35mm f2.8 Zeiss on my a7r4 and is noticeably sharper. The Zeiss produces some purple fringing, but I see none on this lens. Its significantly bigger than the Zeiss but not at all unwieldy.Theres noticeable vignetting at f1.2, greatly diminished by f2.8.All in all, a fine product.

  68. blank

    Tanya

By far this is best Sony lens we own. Color, sharpness, bokeh. All of it is perfect. Very happy with this purchase.

  69. blank

    Danny

Just received mines earlier this morning and i must say this lens is PERFECT Its small and lightweight compared to the sigma version. Bought this lens for car photography but to be honest, this focal length is super versatile and can be used for any type of style Definitely 1 to have in your camera bag. Build quality is A and its very sharp Havent seen anyone post theirs yet so thank you for the quick shipping Adorama.

There is literally nothing negative to say about the 35 f1.4 GM. It is simply put, the perfect 35mm lens for photography.

  71. blank

    CS123

I really enjoy this lens. I shoot in the Sony a7 ii. It was a hard decision between this and the 50mm. Im so glad I went with this Crystal clear images, great autofocus manual focus.

  72. blank

    Craig

I was incredibly excited to get this lens and it did not disappoint. I have only had it for almost two weeks now and have only shot indoors with it but I can already tell that it is sharper than a tack, autofocus is quiet, super fast and depth of field is striking. It is a welcome addition to my camera package.

  73. blank

    Dialightful

Wow What a difference high quality glass makes. Pictures are amazing now under low light and it produces amazing bokeh. The initial bite of the cost stings a little but the end product makes it all worth it. A tamron lens may be a good budget alternative.

  74. blank

    Howard

I mounted on an A9ii and have been shooting with this lens for about a month. Its been in deep shade in the woods and bright sun on the trails. Ive found nothing to complain about. It simply does what it is suppose to do as a 35mm f1.4 lens.

  75. blank

    Camille

I purchased the Sony a7rIV not to long ago. Soon after purchasing the a7rIV I purchased 3 prime lenses, 13 being the 35mm f1.8 from Sony. That lens was good however the Sony f1.4gm lens is exactly what I wanted for my kit. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

  76. blank

    Mihai

35 is my favorite size and I shoot wideopen. I have several lenses from different manufacturers but this is by far the clearest and best color wideopen. Are usually shoot landscape and my little one. You cant compete with this lens for clarity and fast auto focus.

  77. blank

    Dennis

Its smaller and lighter than any FF 35 f1.4. It focuses amazingly close and is razor sharp there to infinity at f1.4 on. Fast focusing too. If a fast 35mm is what youre after this is the one. get it at BH and you cant go wrong.

  78. blank

    Derrick

This is the lens Ive been waiting for. Its light. Its fast. It renders beautifully. Beautiful environmental portraits. Great for video. If youre into portraits, fashion photography, video, etc… this is the lens. Well worth the money

  79. blank

    Oscar

My favorite focal length is 35mm but I already had the FE 35mm 1.8 so I was a bit hesitant on buying this but I went ahead and did and I dont regret it. This lens is ridiculously sharp, lightweight and worth the money.

  80. blank

    Rory

You pay for what you get. I love the focal point of 35 mm. Its perfect for allaround shooting. BH made it easy and tax free.

  81. blank

    ERIC

Omg.. this is much much better than f1.8 I loved the cheaper one but well.. for my work, I needed a wider open aperture lens. This provides super crystal images and its worth every cents.

  82. blank

    Thelaurajessica

This is such a versatile lens. Its always been my dream lens and I finally got it last month. It lived up to all of my expectations. Actually, it exceeded them. So far Ive shot portraits, flower photos, animal photos, and even done some street photography with it. The mechanics of this lens are amazing. I almost went with the Sigma but after watching reviews I chose to go with the GMaster and Im so glad I did. The better quality is well worth the extra money.

  83. blank

    Sarvar

Absolutely happy with this lens. My hobby became a more professional and high quality because of this high end lens.

  84. blank

    DANIEL

The lens is fantastic. Im not sure what else anyone could want in a 35mm prime. Most importantly for me, autofocus is incredibly fast and accurate. Ive had it for a few weeks now, and the few times it missed focus was my fault, definitely not the lens. Im also impressed with the bokeh, as Im not used to seeing that much of it on such a wide focal length.

  85. blank

    Dave

WOW This lens was totally worth the wait. It focuses extremely fast, Super sharp images at f1.4 in low light, the bokeh is very spherical, and Im in love with it. I have purchased several lenses lately and this is hands down my favorite. Whether youre looking for a lens that you can make objects fall off into a stunning spherical bokeh or have an extremely sharp photo this lens offers versatility and style. It has been a great headshot lens and my customers love the detail it produces. It even captured sharp images in the dark.

  86. blank

    Michael

Very sharp and fast lens paired with my Sony A7RIV. Its such a versatile focal length for me. I looked at other 35mm, but liked the size and picture quality of this Sony best. Very happy with my purchase.

I have theVoigtlander APOLANTHAR 35mm f2 Aspherical Lens for Sony E as well and both have their respective strengths, this is the one I take with me 95 of the time. It is AF and the optics and bokeh is outstanding. Very sharp corner to corner especially f2 and up. Very good wide open as well.

  88. blank

    Gary

My earlier review incorrectly listed the the previous Sony 35mm as a 1.4 when, of course, it was 1.8. Sorry for the typo. The rest of my review is accurate. Thanks.

I love 35mm prime lenses for use as an allaround wanderabout lens thats light and versatile. I previously owned Sonys 35mm f1.8 G lens and its a very good lens at a fair price. The f1.4 GM is noticeably better albeit, also much more expensive in corner sharpness when shot wideopen. So, for me, its well worth the premium.

  90. blank

    Nick

Very sharp even at f1.4, testing with my A7RIII. Practically no chromatic aberration. Aperture ring feels great, autofocus is very quick and silent. Exceeds all my expectations. If youre a videographer, the focus breathing is the only potential downside I can think of, other than the high price.

  91. blank

    ALLA

It is absolutely nice lense as for close ups detailed filming and for more wide and dar distance. I like it better then 50mm

  92. blank

    BLAKELY

My lens is perfect, in perfect condition and arrived quickly. The photo quality is great and after all the rave reviews, I was itching to add this lens to the pack. I looked at several other online stores to purchase this lens and none were available in a timely manner. So happy with my purchase

  93. blank

    Ricky

I started with the SonyZeiss 2470 f4, then Samyang 35 f2.8, then Sony 35 f1.8, and now the 35 f1.4GM. With the exception of the Samyang each has gotten so much better. Im so impressed with the image sharpness and as my wife says, the oomph of the image. That thing that just grabs you… its beautiful. This lens definitely has my vote as the new workhorse

  94. blank

    JAY

Id been holding out for a while on buying a highquality 35mm prime for my Sony A7iii, simply because there are so many great options out there. Several nice Sigmas, a couple Sonys, and then the Voigtlanders, which I have in other focal lengths and absolutely love.I thought I would most likely get the Voigtlander APOLANTHAR, as sharpness, personality, and low chromatic aberation are more important to me than super fast aperture or autofocus capabilities. However, after reading several impressive tech tests and reviews of the Sony 35mm GM, I decided to give it a test run, and I was blown away. Sony has created one of the most technicallyperfect pieces of glass that I have had the opportunity to shoot with, and have also managed to create a lens with a look and style all its own.Ive had a hard time taking this lens off my camera body since I bought it. My only complaint is that it reaaaaally makes me want to buy some other GM lenses in longer focal legths now…

I have several Sony lenses but out of them this is the sharpest lens. It is sharp even when you zoom 300. The color and image quality this produce are superb. In addition this lens is not heavy and well balanced with my A7III camera. I am glad I purchased this lens.

Did a full review on my YouTube Channel DetroitFury if you would like to watch this in detail with comparisons..httpswww.youtube.comwatchvN3RD4Phz8X0bottom line…its super sharp and priced well below Nikon Canons 35mm f1.4 lenses…. some focus breathing may be an issue for some but for the price there is no comparison….build quality is also much better then sonys previous 35mm lens not to mention the auto focus on this is instant and way faster then its predecessor.Autofocus test is also done in my video on the channel.

This is the best quality and most versatile lens Ive ever used. It creates masterpieces every time. Its always on a body strapped to me or more likely in my hand. This is my perfect focal length and the 1.4 with extreme sharpness is in a class by itself. I rarely use my 35 1.8 and 55 1.8 any more. And The 2875 2.8 doesnt even leave the wheelie bag any more, Im that much more confident that Ill get the image I love with the 35. The only thing that equals this is the 50 1.2 but its not as wide as I need a lot of the time.

Used it in a wedding the day after I received it. Best allpurpose lens. Focusing is accurate. It is a very sharp lens. It is sharp from corner to corner. The color and contrast is perfect. I have not found any flaws with my copy at all.

This is so far the best lens I have purchased. It sharp, land light weight. I pair it with my Sony a7riii and the autofocus is on point. I shoot a lot of wedding and I wanted a 35mm that can shoot in low light and reliable. If you can afford it, you should get one.
