Absolutely LOVE this keyboard I Bought it for PC gaming and streaming and can happily say that it has not given me any problems. It may not be as tactile as other keyboards in the market but its perfect for anyone who wants to reduce the clicking noises when streaming. Its otherwise very smooth and comfortable to use.The RGB is also beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a gaming keyboard on a budget.
KaiT –
Ill be honest I was expecting something meh when I bought this but I was very shocked after using it for awhile the lightings with the keyboard are fantastic. The gaming feature with it that helps you from not pressing windows and exiting out of the game is a must. I really recommend this keyboard
CMBz –
I bought this keyboard for my daughter since she likes mine, which is a different brand. The colors on this keyboard are beautiful. This best part of this keyboard are the quiet keys, which my keyboard lacks. This was a good buy.
MrAsian –
Im really happy with this keyboard. Its big, I can control volumes easier, and RBG options has several of variety. One thing I hate about this is that its too low for me when I put my hands on it, I wanted it to be little higher.
Tabs –
OMG I absolutely looove this keyboard. Its so quiet, the keys are smooth, none of them stick. . . My fingers just fly along the keyboard without making a bunch of noise and thats a good thing cause I can type fast. I also love how easy it is to switch the color display.
Beth –
Hubby loves it Hes been using it for about a month now. He wanted something like this for the fun colors. This is plugnplay, no software or settings controls required. It gives the option to easily change the color scheme, which he does periodically. And late at night, he doesnt have to keep the overhead room light on, because he can see the keyboard being backlit underlit is a definite plus. This keyboard is also nonslip, it has grips on the bottom so it stays where it is put. All his previous keyboards moved a bit while he was using them, but this one doesnt. Well worth the price. I highly recommend.
Raymond –
Very fast shipping, arrived 4 days earlier. Amazing product quality, it has some weight to it so it doesnt slide around and cannot go wrong with the price. I dont even use this for gaming, just use it for office work.Would recommend. 5 stars
Heathfutrell –
This is a good keyboard and very affordable too, but I have one problem. Although the RGB lights are very nice, my solid red option my favorite one somehow turned to solid white which is very disappointing. That is my only complaint but overall good keyboard and great price.
Sleep –
This is a review as a rage gamer, Ive always had a habit of squeezing controllers, hitting keyboards, etc, etc, this is by far one of the most comfortable and durable keyboards Ive ever owned and this is the 2nd one Ive owned.. first one went the way of old yeller cause I was dumb, suffered a surge and my computer turned off the USB that it was plugged into at the time, unfortunately didnt realize it until after I had folded the keyboard like a burrito to fit in the trash, 10 out of 10 for the price, 10 out of 10 for the durability, 10 out of 10 for the comfort
Bandit –
I needed a new keyboard for the office programming, word processing, etc. not gaming and didnt want a loud mechanical keyboard, because my neighbors in the adjacent cubicles would throttle me. I picked this keyboard because its membranebased instead of mechanical. That said, it uses fullsize key caps with excellent travel, so you get a decent tactile feel without all the noise. It also uses the traditional layout, unlike some brands where every keyboard they offer has some esoteric layout this was really important for my coder muscle memory. Theres a limited array of colors, which you can cycle through by pressing the FnLeft and FnRight arrow keys. There are also two brightness levels, and an off if you dont want lighting. Onboard media transport and volume controls are rudimentary but get the job done.Ive had it for several months now and its still super quiet, no squeaking or loose keycaps or anything else crazy. Good quality.I believe this keyboard is not compatible with HyperXs customization software, so bear that in mind. Its just a simple keyboard with a little onboard lighting. For the price, I can highly recommend this. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my home. And my cubicle neighbors seemed to like it too, judging from all the questions they kept asking. None of which were Can you keep it down over there, machinegun fingers
DarrenSA210 –
I got this with my extra razer deathadder Elite mouse to use as an alternative to the nice but imo vastly overpriced razer turret combo to use for my Xbox one X. Certain games such as call of duty modern warfare, Doom 64, Apex legends, offer keyboard and mouse support which I wanted to try out. I always wanted to navigating the Microsoft store, Xbox interface etc. I got say I think this might work out really well, the keys dont feel to mushy as this isnt being used for my main PC gaming keyboard. For how I plan to continue to use this keyboard, this just feels right. The lighting effects isnt too much, and can easily be disabled and I would say the spill resistance is a great extra for the potential couch sodabeer spill. So far highly recommend
Discordnaka2020 –
I gave it to my little sister.I never had any problems with it. It had everything I needed and looked cool. She likes the colors on it and it looks great on her desk. The quality was good,Its what you think it is. Actually now that I think of it.If I was to get this for myself, and all I had was 30 and it was the only option. I would probably get it if I didnt have a keyboard. Its nice.
Bushlady –
Game from a Logitech G15. Became interested in RBG keyboards after seeing some PC setups. Aesthetically, they look awesome so I did my research. Wanted a keyboard under 50. The two that consistently came up were the Corsair 55 and the HyperX one. Corsair 55 reviews came out on top every time but personally, the RBG on the HyperX looked amazing to me. Plus I dont need to customize my light setup, or need macros. I love how its plug and play, has some media keys and the board itself feels and looks dynamite. Keyboard is super quiet to me and feels like butter typing. Highly recommended. Plus I got it on sale Most likely will buy another.
Justin –
Not bad. As a noncompetitive gamer, I didnt see a real performance difference between this and a more expensive model. Looks good, feels good, works good. Id say it does fine by me.
AliF –
I know RGB keyboards are all over the place these days, but I really like this one. Its not mechanical, but it has a good feel, and the lights are customizable directly from the keyboard. No extra software required or possible.
Fishyman –
I bought this keyboard and it sucks. The software does not work. One of the workers at Best Buy told me they have some type of switches on them. I also have downloaded the software and it only shows my mouse that sucks too.
Rave –
This keyboard will truly surprise you. Im coming from a mechanical keyboard for which I paid roughly 6x the price of this keyboard. The main reason I wanted to go away from mechanical was because Ive been working from home for the past year like many people and have to attend a lot of meetings online. The mechanical keyboard was quite loud even with the silver switch and I would get really conscious typing on it while talking with other people. So, I was looking for a keyboard that would still have somewhat of that mechanical feel but would be quieter. I first tried as many mechanical keyboards that I could get my hands on at the store but then I saw this on the side and started typing. At first, I thought this was a very silent mechanical keyboard. Then I learned that it wasnt mechanical at all. Wow This was the one I was looking for.I got this and can tell you that it feels awesome to type on. It is better than my 180 corsair keyboard to type on. The RGB lighting on this unit is excellent as well and although its not up there with corsair, I dont really miss anything. For gamers out there, I know a lot of you are looking for mechanical keyboards because thats the default now for gaming, but I urge you to try this. I havent felt any difference in gaming with this and I cant help but think that I was probably needlessly spending money going after mechanical keyboards for the past decade because I play games occasionally.Anyway, mechanical or not, this is a fantastic all purpose keyboard. Good for typing, good for gaming, and fantastic RGB which lets me dim the lights at night. Give it a shot.
Nitra –
I love this keyboard I love the way it feels, the way it responds and the lights on it are a great. The thickness of the keyboard was a lot more than what i was expecting so at some point i plan on getting a wrist rest, the keyboard does have kickstands on the back that raise the keyboard a little bit but it could be more. Overall it is a great keyboard, and the ease of having media buttons is a big plus because i am always listening to music when im on the computer, the only thing i have a small issue with is how thick the keyboard actually is and thats my fault because i didnt notice it while it was on display in the store.
PonyPirate –
I bought this keyboard because my 20 keyboard was starting to have keys stick and I really liked having backlit keys on my old laptop. It plays nice with both my work and personal computers I pulled it out of the box and started using it within minutes of it being delivered. The Good this keyboard has a lovely feel and is very responsive. The Bad theres only 3 levels for the back light Bright, REALLY Bright, and off. Unfortunately, its really hard to read the keys when the back light is off the letters are grey on black. I would love to be able to reduce the back light to half of the low setting. The white lights for the caps lock number lock are about to get a sticky on them as a dimmer.Id buy it again, but its taking a bit of time getting used to the brightness.
Ticc –
Im normally not a huge fan of gel cap keyboards because they always seem too tough or touchy, but this keyboard is overall very good. Especially for it being on the not super expensive side of things I would say its a great starting keyboard thats simple to control and use. Easy access layout for color choices with decent choices and the volume and music control area makes it very handy when in game or working on other screens.
Kandy –
I absolutely love this keyboard. I like how their are controls for volume, media, and lights. Im able to change the speed, brightness, and set colors. Unfortunately this keyboard is not supported by the software but theyre are so many built in controls it is not needed.
Emma S –
I got this keyboard to make working from home a little easier and since working from home sometimes involves working in the dark to avoid disturbing my partner, the lighted board was a needed feature. I find the board comfortable and the clacking mechanical keys a delightful change from the flat laptop boards Im used to. As a nongamernontechhead, I wish that there was some kind of Dummys guide to how to optimize the board with a given computer type. I have an old Macbook Pro and some of the commands dont line up. Im sure the information is out there but that would have taken my rating from good to excellent.
hyperxalloycorergb –
I am currently typing this review on this keyboard. After searching about a month for the perfect keyboard and returning multiple keyboards, I have found mine I absolutely love this keyboard, I have found out that I type so much faster and make less typos. I did not purchase this for gaming, I needed a new keyboard for my office because, I couldnt stand the Logitech keyboard I had it was just too noisy. I was also looking for a mechanical looking keyboard without that clacky noise that was quiet but still had sound, I love how the keys feel smooth sound when you type, which I like, and it doesnt bother my co workers. The colors were a added bonus they are beautiful I like how you can customize the color scheme to your liking. Lets not forget about the price Its so affordable its amazing this will definitely be my go to keyboard. Overall this is just a really nice keyboard to type with, I get really excited when I have to type things, because I love how the keys feel sound. I get so many compliments on my keyboards, I bought two because I work out of two offices. I highly recommend this keyboard for anyone who wants a mechanical looking keyboard but doesnt want that loud clacking noise.
DanDaBear –
I am not a gamer per say even though I have a gaming PC. I play a few games now and then. I wanted a new keyboard that was not clicky like most gaming keyboards but I also wanted back lighting in a variety of styles and colors and no attached palm rest. The HyperX Alloy Core RGB Wired Gaming Membrane Keyboard with RGB Lighting was the perfect choice It has full sized keys in a full sized board with really nice feel. About the only complaint I can think of is not having the ability to change the caps lock, Scroll lock etc. light colors. A piece of electrical tape took care of the glaring white lights for me
gamerwizk1d –
I was looking for a new RGB keyboard for gaming and for general PC use. I wasnt trying to spend a ton of money so I got this one. This keyboard is perfect and I love how the keys feel. The color options are great and I really like the size of the keyboard. Will buy again if mine ever stops working. This RGB keyboard looks amazing with my gaming setup.
Anonymous –
Good tech. Nice lighting effects. Media controls handy. Sturdy build bit of weight to it feels well made and wants to be used. Plug and play. You can turn lights off. Long wire useful.
Heidi –
I bought the hyperx keyboard for 49.99 the next one down but walmart.com wont let me add the review to that one shocker I have had this keyboard about 5 months and use for work only and already the tab key sticks wont depress and the cap lock onoff indicator is backwards sometimes and some of the color functions are no longer available. I wanted a keyboard with high keys this one has and didnt want to spend a fortune. Because I type all day and frequently use the tab key. I will review my paperwork to see if it can be replaced but suspect I will have to again search for a keyboard and spend more money. I also had to call support when I first got it to help me figure out how to set the background color because the instructions were nonexistent. I would not recommend this for more than the occasional user and I will not purchase again
TwitchKoerbz –
Couple different rgb options including brightness. Amazing for price Very stable keyboard, definitely no cheap materials. Also if you have a lite spill you can easily dump the liquid out through the back of the keyboard.
Leon –
I love it, it works well and the feel of it is amazing. To me it was worth it. Because I dont like to hear the noise of the mechanical keyboard that can be very loud. The built quality is top notch and Im very happy with my purchase. If mine ever breaks, will definitely buy this keyboard again.
Ricky –
Wasnt sure what to expect for the price. It arrived the next day. I was really impressed the feel and weight of the keyboard. Seems pretty durable. All of the keys feel great and the rgb actually remembers the color setting when you turn it off. Also the rgb doesnt require software download, which is also a huge plus. Overall, I would recommend this keyboard. Great but for a great price.
Xero –
As a gamer you want a responsive keyboard with little to no sound when using. This keyboard does just that and at a very nice price. Plug and go with no other installations needed. The colors are nice as well. And if you are hesitant to buy because it has light up colors on the keys, you can easily turn it off via the button on the top left corner. Also, a bonus, it is spill resistance which is always a nice edition.
Brett –
Its not like most gaming type keyboards Best Buy had at the time, though Im not certain of the type of switches if Im being honest. I just knew I hated the other ones on display. Multizone rgb is bright and customizable. Only gripe is at a not unreasonable angles the light shining through some of the key caps makes them look odddifficilt to read.
PootieDadManBro –
I purchased this keyboard for my son. The keyboard is rather straight forward. Only issue he has with the keyboard is that it isnt compatible with the HyperX software. When all is said and done though its a sturdy keyboard that works as intended. When he presses the keys it puts the characters on the screen. My son says it makes a mean meatloaf too.
RWehling2 –
Purchased as a gift and this is what they had to say Comfortable for long use, sturdy, and lights are vibrant and beautiful. Used for moderate to heavy casual gaming and so far has performed wonderfully. For the price its a fantastic purchase.
shey –
Good keyboard. Wish it had more lighting. Every time I turn it on it makes a loud ringingbuzzing noise. Not sure if its supposed to be that way, but I dont enjoy it at all. I might have to buy a different keyboard.
Plexus –
Nice keyboard. Very smooth. Lights are cool. I bought to work from home and the lights help when working in the dark. Nice keyboard. Will buy another.
Pj1044 –
Love it. Needed a new keyboard… my computer guy recommended a wired unit for less signal interference… this was on sale and I liked the way the keys felt on the display. Love that it has the color options. Its perfect for what I need
Natalie –
We bought this keyboard to replace piece of junk Razer Keyboard. We owned Razer keboard but Razer always fail us. We bought the most expensive Razer Chroma Keyboard but they always has some mechanical issues after you used It in a while. Therefore, we need to find better quality product. We have found this and It is working great.
uhnee –
Work great Its pretty quiet compared to regular mechanical keyboards. They sound about as loud as a regular nonmechanical keyboard. Love the light settings. At one point, the lighting turned off and I couldnt turn it back on so I googled around how to fix it and I believe a HyperX customer service person responded to a reddit post on how to reset it and it worked like a charm.
Conyst –
bought for my son to replace one he had smashed……..rbg is push button cycle…not customizablekeyboard is quiet as it is a membraneresponse of keystrokes is decent considering its a membraneoverall its not going to win any gaming awards but it works and is of solid construction. Perfect replacement for a child that abused what they had.you can get much more for the money but I was in a pinch
JuvAngel –
When I first bought the keyboard I thought it was just going to be an regular color changing keyboard. But when I bought it and opened it it felt amazing. Like I was impressed about the quality and the how it can change colors. Im glad I bought this keyboard
GodfatherJPA –
I needed a keyboard to use with my PC in my new work from home world. For extended typing, I needed something with a more positive key feel. This keyboard does the trick for relatively little money. The key feel is great its just the right amount of bounce. I can type quickly and accurately on this keyboard. The key had a satisfying click but not overly loud. Some of the keyboards I tried were just entirely too loud or clacky, even 150 models. I cant really speak to gaming use of this board, but as a general use keyboard its a world a difference over the cheapos that come with a PC while saving a lot versus some of the more expensive gaming keyboards out there. If you need an all purpose keyboard that types well and will make your typing fast and accurate without waking the dead, this is a great way to go.
Mtaylor –
I was super excited about this keyboard and decided to use it at work. It didnt take long before the keyboard would only glow the color green. I unplugged it, plugged it back in and followed the instructions to change the colors and nothing worked. So now its just a green lit keyboard. However, the keys are very comfortable and I find Im typing more accurately now because my fingers dont slip off the keys.
allthatiszen –
I didnt want a mechanical keyboard mainly due to the loudness factor. Plus, a lot of the mechanical keyboards Ive used have ultraraised keys, which feel extremely unnatural these days since most keyboards are much lower in profile. This one splits the difference on key height, but it is also WAY quieter than any mechanical Ive experienced. I mainly use this for work and home music production, but have dabbled in some simple games on Steam and I could type on this bad boy all day. As long as it doesnt fail, Ill be holding on to this puppy for the duration Way better than a 25 keyboard. Well worth the extra price
Raymondsrealm –
Due to covid I had to start to work from home way more and needed a much quieter keyboard bs the Huntsman Razer. So far this keyboard has been great and its quiet. Does not have that same great click feeling but its quiet and my customers and colleagues are much happier
Snow –
Love this product, just wish it had a little more keyboard options. The light feature is nice and you can set it to a single non changing color, but you only get red unless Im doing it wrong. Thats really my only complaint. Excellent buy for the price
Anonymous –
Great keyboard which is worth what you pay for and not overpriced. Not too large, and comes with some nice colour schemes. Only negative is that the colours arent customisable which doesnt really matter, but you have many options to pick from. Keys are all quiet to type with.
SuperDuperCoolGuy –
As a leftie I have a weird setup for gaming that doesnt use my keyboard so having a precise mechanical keyboard wasnt a necessity, so I really only need something for typing. That said this is a nice keyboard for 50 dollars. It is a membrane so the keys have a bit of mushiness to them but they dont feel terrible. The lighting effects are all very nice and the keyboard has a nice weight and quality that you arent going to find from an cheap imitation gaming keyboard.
Anonymous –
I needed a new keyboard for my PC and this fitted the bill perfectly. Not overly expensive but is well made for both office work and gaming. The lighting for the keys is subtle and can be switched off giving you a more professional look.Key action is perfect for me and is not overly noisy. All in all a great keyboard. Cant fault it.
Husband1 –
I was about to lose my wife from playing my games for which I do 11 hours a day and she said she couldnt take the clicking anymore of my mechanical keyboard. So I switched to this and she is much happier. However I am not as I can hear her and her nagging better which means Im more upset than ever. I just want to play my games. All in all. If quiet is what you are going for, there is nothing better.
Taylor –
A comfortable and easy to use membrane keyboard. I upgraded from a basic logitech keyboard to this HyperX keyboard and it was an easy transition being used to playing on membrane keyboards. This is an affordable and nice keyboard for gaming.
David –
I am really enjoying this keyboard. I am using it for work on a daily basis, 8 hours a day. The keys are smooth and relatively quiet. The options for backlit and color are sufficient. The only thing that would make this perfect would be better cable management. Having something on the keyboard that will allow to secure the cable in the front.
CDubs –
I needed my own laptop instead of using someone elses all the time. I also wanted something with raised keys and something I could use while it was still dark in the house without waking everyone up with the lights. Although I prefer to hear the clacking of the keys, this actually does everything I need it to do. Glad I purchased this item.
Missilebase –
The feel of the keyboard is excellent. The lighting is wonderful, even in no light conditions it doesnt distract from the work being done. Good speed response when doing demanding tasks in tense situations, Solid tactile response under the fingers. Generally very quiet. Im quite pleased with the purchase. It could use a wrist rest, but other than that, I am pleased to recommend it.
Zariah –
This was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend and he was excited. The lights are amazing It is so beautiful in the dark. He love all the different features that come with it. Its better than I expected for the price.
PcGamer –
I really like this keyboard. I bought it as a replacement and so far its been really good. Although I like this keyboard the W key sometimes doesnt respond, not sure if my keyboard is already starting to wear down but other than that I recommend this keyboard
Georgia –
I wanted to do a bunch of research before purchasing a new keyboard and Im happy to have stumbled upon this wonderful thing. It is perfect for what I need it for, I was searching for a membrane gaming keyboard as they are known to be lot quieter compared to mechanical keys. Its also spill resistant and super easy to clean which just sounds like this keyboard is designed with the intention of being around for a long time. It even has a corded cable. I love that its a full sized keyboard with audio controls. The RGB backlight is easy to control with the buttons being so easily visible. Everything about this keyboard is designed for ease of use. It also feels sturdy and the texture does not feel cheap. 55 would definitely recommend. The only thing it lacks is that the keys are not interchangeable, which is a fair enough trade off considering it is spill resistant and that feature is more common with mechanical keys.
jimz –
This keyboard just wasnt for me. I was looking for an illuminated keyboard and this was an inexpensive one. It was just too bright due to illuminating both the key letters AND the area around each key. The biggest reason I returned it was because once I got the settings to where it was usable to me, I found that it forgot those settings after every reboot. So you have to make adjustments every time. No thanks. This is a gaming keyboard. Why the rainbow of lights and colors I just dont get that.
Steve –
High quality and heavy. The lights are cool but only slightly customizable. The key mechanics are great feels very precise and good feedback and springy. This is truly a plug and play, super easy no software needed. The only thing lacking is a palm rest.
Robmiezer –
This is a Great Keyboard for gaming and normal everyday use. IS it a mechanical Keyboard No. But, it is a great feeling membrane keyboard with RGB lighting. It is a quiet keyboard and for the price of 45, you cant go wrong. You can use 23 of these for the price of a high end mechanical and for me, I cant tell the difference while gaming. But, I am like most…. just the average gamer
Kris –
My new tower came with a flat keyboard and I HATED it. Upgraded to this and its wonderful. The keys hit perfectly, are super smooth and the lights changing color are fun. Im not a gamer but this kinda makes me wish I was one if all their gear is this nice.
BestMarketingDesign –
It is nicely builded and feels as strong durable material, but I returned it because it makes a little noice when you change the colors, as a buzz. When I exchanged it, I got another one of the same because I thought the buzz was a failure of the first I got, but the second one did it too. The keyboard works ok, the problem is when you turn the leds on. I hope they can fix that little detail because it is a nice keyboard.
Jovia –
So far it is working rather well for me, even the game mode works quite well and helped me out already to keep me from bungling myself while in a game. It will take me a bit to get used to the keys as they are a bit higher than my last keyboard but they are very responsive and arent that loud either. It is so nice having media keys again, and having lights on the actual keyboard help because my desk is in a rather dim area as well.
fractals –
Enhance your ingame performance with this HyperX Alloy Core RGB gaming keyboard. Its softtouch keys are equipped with antighosting functionality to prevent accidental keystrokes, and the dedicated media controls provide quick access to frequently used functions for seamless operation. This HyperX Alloy Core RGB gaming keyboard is housed in a reinforced plastic frame for maximum stability.
leondb –
Still loving this keyboard. Coming from a cheap Redragon mechanical keyboard, this is heaven. These are much quieter. Quieter even over my stock HP set that came with my PC. The lighting is great too. I really dont need a mechanical keyboard for gaming.
Bronson –
I like everything about this keyboard. From the quality to the, RGB key colors, to the feel of the keys, to the ability to turn off colors, to the price, to the length of the cord, everything about this keyboard is great. I would recommend to either first time buyers or experienced.
MrBread –
Excellent KeyboardSoft Key strokes and the RGB is pretty nice and for the price it was cheaper than my Cosair Brand. Has control over the colors that show so its not always the same. I recommend it.I bought it due to spilling coffee by accident on my keyboard lol Ouch
DixonJK –
I dont normally write reviews, but I had to in this case. Ive owned a lot of keyboards in the last 30 years, and this one is probably my favorite. The action is firm, without being clicky. The feel is solid and sturdy. It is also the smoothest and quietest keyboard Ive ever owned. I spent a lot of time researching gaming keyboards only because I needed a backlight keyboard. The amount of color options are staggering. If I had a complaint, it would be that the documentation doesnt explain how to change modes very well, but a little experimentation will make it clear. Once you have a setting you like, one button will switch through 3 brightness settings and back to off.I recommend this keyboard even if youre not looking for a gaming keyboard. For the price you just cant beat the quality and combination of the best aspects of both membrane and mechanical keyboards.
Nesbarq –
I bought this keyboard because I spilled a drink on my old mechanical gaming keyboard. I must say that it is quite sturdy and has some heft to it. Nice feel to the keys and the options for displaying color combinations is very good for the price The keys are quiet and have a nice feel to them. If you are looking for the clicketyclack of some of the mechanical keyboards then this is not for you. I am a software developer and think I have found my new favorite keyboard This is worth the price I paid for it. Unless you are wanting very advanced programmable macros and color combinations then this keyboard should be able to take care of your needs easily.
cj888 –
I love the way these keys feel The keyboard a really its self is such a good weight, heavy enough to not easily slide around. The keycaps have such a great feel, nice and deep, they hug your fingertips The switchs are nice and clicky without being too much and feel so buttery smooth The program to set your colors is easy to use, the settings are great, and the lights are so nice and bright
Alton –
Excellent gaming keyboard. This was my first keyboard used for gaming and basic usage, so I cant say that Ive tried out other keyboards. Therefore I cant compare it to something else. I gave it 4 stars only because Ive recently returned because I bought a new gaming rig that came with a keyboard and mouse. If I chose to keep my set up and keyboard, Id be happy with this one and would highly recommend. The keys feel good and the lighting options are great if your into it.
Nick –
Pros Its a keyboard, it has illumination, great you dont need software, for me volume and media keys were important. Ability to change zone colour via key combinationsCons Perhaps media keys could be illuminated.
jbtk –
Despite its low price this is actually a really pleasant and good keyboard to use. I was pleasantly surprised. The rubber domes provide nice tactility and the full size allows it to be used for many different tasks whether it be work, gaming, browsing, etc. I like the media keys and they have proved to be useful. RGB is bright and has a handful of options to choose from. The build quality of this board is overall good, its sturdy, but I just cant get past the low quality ABS keycaps. I didnt expect anything different for the price, but man they are easy to get messy even with clean hands. I still gave this 5 stars for price to performance. If you just want a simple, bright, good feeling keyboard then this one is for you
mick1775 –
Mechanical keyboards are a meme. This is a good all around keyboard for gaming and typing and it is rather quiet. The last item was of most importance to me because as much as I like cherry blues and reds, the noise was as annoying to me as it was to everyone else in the room.
PCHomeBuilder86 –
This is just right. I cant quite adjust to the mechanical keyboards, dont like the clicking or the absence of resistance some had on display. The one I think I would like the most costs 4 times as much. This has nice deep key throws, and is comfortable. Activation point is great for me.
Randal –
Quiet keys, very responsive, antighosting which means you can press more than 3 keys at once. Prior keyboard was Microsoft Sidewinder X4 which was very fast response also. I am happy with this keyboard. Feels solid, a little heavier too so it doesnt slide around unless I want it to. Keypress is not so far that you miss keys ingame.
AlohaK –
Overall its a fine keyboard. When I went to purchase keyboard, I tested out all on display. I tested for speed, ease of keys, and the loudness of pressing each key down. This was by far the best keyboard over all modes available. This brand also has a wireless keyboard works and feels just the same but costs an extra 60. Settled with the wire keyboard for 40. Only downside, is the wire cord is very long and will have to hide behind computer or use zip tiesgarbage ties to control the length of the wire. Other than that this is by far the best keyboard Best Buy sells.
ZackAttack –
Purchased solely for a gaming rig so I wanted something that felt like it would last a while and was responsive. Theres quite a bit of travel for the keys so my fidgety hands arent accidentally pressing keys. Its real sturdy and considering the price well built. Im not too sure about all of the shortcut and remote keys because I dont use them.Although I dont use it for writing, it feels comfortable enough for lengthy use. The RGB feature is pretty customizable, but RGB isnt for meif its youre thing, this is a go to.Unless the cable gives out, I have a feeling this will last for years.

I love this keyboard The backlit keys are amazing and I like being able to change the RGB effects with the just the touch of a key. I am new to HyperX products but I will definitely be back for more in the future. The only thing I wish it had was an onoff switch when I am not using it. It has a gaming setting to turn off the Windows key but the entire keyboard will not lock. It is not a deal breaker for me, just something I would like to have as a feature.
Anders –
The hyper x keyboard, is easy to plug in and use right off the bat. The keys are mid height and have a simple clock sound when pressing them, it take a minute to set the color scheme I wanted but after reading the instructions it was easy, also handy is the media keys on the top right. Overall great keyboard for anyone diving into pc gaming
Jimiv123 –
I bought a new gaming PC and wanted a new keyboardmouse. I keep hearing about mechanical keys being more responsive. I did my research on all the different touches and didnt like anything i looked at. Then while shopping those keyboards, I came across this HyperX keyboard, and loved the keys. It had everything I wanted. separate 10key, and separate multimedia keys. there is no software to program the RBG, but the button cycling is fine for me. I dont need that level of customization. Been using this keyboard a month for gaming, and im not disappointed.
biggmakisdeadmm –
I like this key board. Very hefty and a little heavy but plugs right in and you can control the rgb, brightness and sound from the keyboard. Very convinient. It is a big keyboard though but no real complaints. I recommend as a first keyboard
Kathee608 –
This key board is sleek and quiet. I love the changing of the colors. Keys have a soft touch to them and Im not into the mechanical ones with the loud clicky clacks when you hit the keys. Its a great key board for the price. Im new to gaming and so far Im happy with my purchase.
Nonie –
I work from home and I usually work with just natural light during the day opening all the curtains and not using lamps. Now that its getting darker earlier, and even if the day is gloomy I was starting to have trouble seeing my keyboard. And you can set the colors a bunch of different ways, however you prefer. I have them in the rainbow, its perfect for me.The keys arent loud, and they are very responsive. I used to have a keyboard with really low profile keys, and this took a little getting used to, but it didnt take long.
kaitlyn –
Very surprised with it. Ive read lots of things about how theres a loud noise coming from the keyboard but that hasnt been the case for me. It may not be for people who prefer mechanical keyboards but this keyboard it very smooth and quiet and I really like it. I didnt know it came in an aurora setting for the rgb but its super pretty and I definitely like it more than just regular rainbow.
Syndicate909 –
This keyboard feels really solid. It has good weight and decent RGB lighting. The keys are well placed and feel superb, likely the best key caps on Earth. Typing is a dream on this, with good membranes that require just the right amount of force to activate. Gaming with this isnt going to feel as good as a mechanical switch, but it still feels really good. My only issue with this keyboard is the lack of software control that some other keyboards at this price offer. If you get this you wont be disappointed, but you may be missing out on some niche features offered by competitors.
BuckeyeFan14 –
I love this keyboard It feels great under my fingers provide the feedback I like when I type. As a web developer, I type a lot and this keyboard works very well. Since the keys are all backlit the characters wont wear off like my old one. Highly recommend
Cesare R –
Okay, for some reason theres a high pitched ping emitting from the keyboard. It sounds like coil whine, BUT ITS NOT. It disappears right when I turn off the RGB on this keyboard. I cant even use the keyboard with the lights turned of, as I cant even see the keys. I had to return it because it just wouldnt go away no matter what I did.
SeniorFloyd –
Surprisingly impressed. I bought the wired Hyper X Alloy Core RGB keyboard because I wanted something better than my laptops keyboard and it was very affordable for my budget. Plus the RGB is really cool with a bunch of different settings. Would buy again
KatyR21 –
Finding a good keyboard that lasts is tough. I liked my old one but it broke so I bought this one. Im actually very happy with it. It still looks and feels brand new. The lighting is beautiful. I dont know if you can customize the color but if you could, that would make it perfect.
Buzztime –
I was pleasantly surprised with this keyboard. I wasnt looking for a traditional gaming keyboard. I wanted something backlit with quiet keys. This fits the bill. There are no drivers necessary to control the lighting and other features, they work out of the box. The only negative is there are a fixed set of color choices for the backlighting.
Sparon –
I like this keyboard. Not my favorite, but I definitely like it. Latency is pretty good, and the keys dont feel like garbage. Mind you it is not mechanical, but it is decent for what it is.
rguch14 –
perfect for gaming. The alloy keys have weight to them and no chance of them ever sticking or getting damaged. Fits my hands perfect so my typing speed has increased. The RGB lights are a fun fit when playing after dark. I can adjust the lighting to fit my mood. lol.
tmille –
Great Keyboard. Soft keys which make for quieter typing experience. The light up keyboard is bright and effective at night for typing in dim light. Great product.
Raziel –
I didnt want anything fancy. I just wanted to be able to type or game in the dark, while being able to see the keys. This one accomplishes that. The one thing I which it had was the ability to light up individual keys. That would be nice for gaming, where you only use a few keys. You can light up sections of this keyboard, but not individual keys. Its a good value for the price.
Jordan –
I got this keyboard from my parents as a Christmas gift. It is the best keyboard I ever owned. There are nice rgb lights that you can change. If your a gamer I recommend the game mode option at the top where you change the rgb effects. Overall I think this keyboard is a great budget rgb 40 keyboard.
Agamnon –
All around good keyboard, semi lightweight, but not too bulky.Long review its a good quiet keyboard that you can use while in the office and have some swag with your RBG keys. You can customise your settings with 6 different light settings. Its waterproof up to 120 ml, I put close to 3 l in there, and there was no problem, worked great, after a week, the springs are still the same, the cord still has the opening kinks, which means its a strong cable, at 50, youre getting a deal, if I had to price it, it would be more around 80. Good keyboard for beginners, and I dont know if you can use it with XB1 or PS4 yet. If youre getting into gaming, GET THIS KEYBOARD, you dont need any programming software, as its already pre programmed. There is 9 colours, times that by 5, thats 45, there is 45 different colour possibilities with this keyboard on the 5 stage colour pattern. Im loving this keyboard, best birthday present ever
Reaveralpha –
Great feel to the mechanical keys. Theyre a little bit softer than my Razer black widow and Corsair keyboards but feels great and LEDs have good RGB effects and different brightness settings. Good deal for holiday sale
DavidEdward –
The keyboard is nice to be used in the office because it does not create that noise like my Razer keyboard at home. Another good thing about the keyboard is the multimedia buttons, so its really not a gaming laptop but also you can use it on your daily work etc.The keys are smooth when you press it and you dont have to press hard just to get the letters you need. For the price itself, it was worth it.
SamieK –
I just love this keyboard Its quiet, it glows, it had a great price and types like a dream. Maybe one day Ill get one of those mechanical keyboards, but I think this is a great step up from what I had before. It did take me about a week to get used to typing on it, but now its as easy as can be. The buttons feel great. Theyre very responsive and you dont have to slam them to get them to work which my old keyboard was starting to make me dohence, the replacement.
MARIE E –
Keyboard performs as expected with an added bonus pf pretty colours.Note to keyboard manufacturers Stop making me press numlock I never want to use the scroll functions in the number pad. Let me lock the special characters on the number line.
Sickomode –
Plugged it in and it worked immediately. The change constantly and blend into eachother, and are nice to look at. I havent bothered messing around with it any further, but I think you can program the keys to stay one color, or light up different colors on different sections of the keyboard. Not worrying about it now though. Keys are clickier than Id prefer, but still relatively much quieter than other options. Also wish the upper right keys starting above the numbered keys section would light up, cause i can never find them when its dark, which is annoying.
Dscott7281 –
My bearcubs loves it Price is right. My 10 YO put together on XBOX himself. Come with a manufacturer warranty and made well for even the hard typing gamer. Lights are cool as wel
TVWatcher4000 –
This awesome keyboard is perfect for gaming. It changes color randomly and is the subject of envy of all my kids friends. All the keys work well and even several weeks of playing almost daily, everything on it still works perfectly. The lightup keys are great for lowlight situations. We are very happy with this keyboard it instills a sense of joy in all who see it.
Lefti3 –
Got this as an upgrade from my old wireless keyboard. Overall satisfied with the purchase. Its a little quieter, though thats not a high bar. The noise is lower pitch, so my mic can filter it out more easily. This keyboard has a tendency to wobble on a flat table, so i recommend felt pads to muffle that sound.Have had no issues with typing speed all key combinations so far register as intended. Am not noticing any latency in key inputs either. The keys are hard to read without the RGB lighting on, but that isnt a big problem.
Great –
I was a little hesitant to purchase because this keyboard isnt wireless. Im not a gamer either. Everything is awesome The layout is just like a regular keyboard and when typing I tend to type hard it doesnt feel like I could break the keyboard. Very happy.
RPgAmy –
Loving this keyboard. Great quality, low sound membraned keyboard. Never have been a fan of the clickityclack of the mechanical keyboards. This one needs just the slightest touch and makes very little sound. Have had it for about a month now and have had no issues whatsoever.
ChrisPBacon –
Great keyboard Better than what I expected. Super durable and dont make noise when I type. Its great for gaming and working. I highly recommend this product.
Johnny –
Great gaming keyboard that doesnt use switches. I didnt want the loud clicks that comes with a mechanical keyboard but this keyboard still gives some feedback. There are color presets but cannot be changed.
bookboy22 –
Bought this for my daughter to use on her computer. Loves it I enjoy watching the colors on this thing. Just subtle enough but easy to read everything on it. Works great.
JAMPS –
This keyboard is extremely comfortable and fun to use.Your hands dont hurt when you write with it, you can fill very well the keys, it also has very nice color effects, allowing you to choose the color of it and change it at will.Overall this keyboard is excellent for playing games and working, I recommend it.PS the price could be a little bit less, but it is still really worth buying it.
daks860 –
My daughter loves this keyboard. Very colorful and easy to read keys. My other daughter had no clue something like this existed and now wants one too. High quality product highly recommended.
Andrea –
Pros I bought this for my work as a writer because I needed a nonclicking, easy to type keyboard for home working. Its the best Ive ever had. The lights are great makes things feel very upbeat. Kids love working on it because of this, too. I dont game at all, so cant vouch for its gaming capabilitiesCons I saw the keyboard in store with a wrist rest attached when I ordered the rest came separately but it is very good

HyperX HyperX Alloy Core RGB Wired Gaming Membrane Keyboard with RGB Lighting is a sturdy keyboard with a very nifty color changing keyboard. I really like that its spill resistant up to 120ml. It plugs in easily enough and adds a touch of color to your gaming or PC use. The keys are not silent as I can still hear them, but not as loud as other products on the market. The layout of the keyboard is nice, easily to access all the keys. They keys themselves feel nice and have a sturdy feel to them.
saraq –
I got this to replace my wireless keyboard that was having weird issues with my computer. This wired keyboard eliminated that problem and while Im not much of a gamer, the lights are fun when I want to use them. For anyone concerned, theres an option to turn them off as well. Its comfortable to use and was super simple to set up, just plugged it in and it was good to go.
WillieF –
Love the control of lighting effects for this keyboard. Nice, responsive keys and little mistyped keys. Perfect size for my space and has all the features I want without any that I wouldnt use, beings that Im not a competitive gamer Would buy again
BePatient –
Simple keyboard design with a slight lag in input output text, Slightly spilled water and keys got sticky . Not really spill resistant in any way . difficult instruction on how to change each sections color .
Tina –
I have been using a Razor keyboard on my one computer and recently got another computer and hated the keyboard that came with it. I found I love my Razor keyboard but didnt want to spend quite as much right now and purchased this one thinking it was a mechanical keyboard as well. I realized when I got it that its a membrane keyboard so the touch of the keys is different for sure, but I still like it and saved 50.
Clearsound –
I had to replace a low priced gaming keyboard because the cord which was small broke inside the cord So having a briaded cord on the HyperX Alloy Core RGB Wired Gaming Membrane Keyboard with RGB Lighting was key factor in the purcahase decision Also the plug and play and watching a few viidoes made it easy I was going to buy a higher priced keyboard but being a lower price I was to get a new mouse tooIt was easy to set up The cord feels heavy duty . The keys have a nice feel Many RGB effects are available .
Poorpackaging –
This is a soon to be birthday present. Fast shipping. Only complaint would be they delivery people literally left the package on the porch in the box like it just came off the shelf. Kind of screams come and get me. Oh and birthday boy saw said gift as it was just sitting on the porch
Stratos –
My first RGB keyboard I really enjoy looking at and not having the loud clicking when you engage the keys. I have gone through a few RGB keyboards laptops included. Most Ive encountered have the actual led element in the key, surrounding it like a border, or even both. Cool, but you still have discontinuity of light when it goes from left to right or any lighting function. This one has the base where the keys are as a continuous LED area. It is by far the best aesthetically pleasing keyboard Ive owned. Definitely bright enough for daytime use and not too bright for night use adjustable as well. Note This is for aesthetics, not for serious gameplay even though I use this for gaming. Literally the definition of plug and play with all media buttons, volume controls, and lighting options. So if you want a nice quiet keyboard with AWESOME aesthetics, I would highly recommend this one.
SarahB –
Wow this is nice Bought this for my daughter to better see the letters on each key. She likes to change around the colored lights, which was easy even for this 8yearold. It has worked well for gaming and typing. She can type faster with the increased visibility of the characters. Will probably buy another one, good value.
Kylie –
Best keyboard on a budget. The keys feel great, Its not as loud as a mechanical keyboard and I could definitely hear the difference from my old keyboard. There are many different color options, including the ability to turn the brightness off, 50, or 100. Its bright enough for me to clearly see the keys in a dim room. Colorwise, you can choose from the solid colors green, cyan, blue, purple, pink, white, red, orange, and yellow. You can also customize the zone colors each zone is a color specified by you. Theres even an option to let the color breathe and it goes through all of them in a smooth motion. The media keys allow you to stop, playpause, forward, and go backward. All of this is controlled by the buttons on the keyboard. No software is needed. The only complaint I have is that the spacebar is a bit thin. I have to position my thumb in a certain way so that it doesnt hit the edge, which is a minor inconvenience. Other than that, I highly recommend it. For the price, its an excellent keyboard.
Gryphon1911 –
SInce I have been working from home, I do a lot of video calls using Teams, Zoom, etc. The keyboard I had before this was a mechanical keyboard. While I still prefer the feedback and feel of the mechanical keyboard, it was near impossible to use it, carry on a conversation and take notes on the computer. With this keyboard, the noise level is greatly reduced and I can take notes digitally without disrupting the meeting.
Dinodan –
Solid and super quiet keyboard. I had a basic keyboard that came with my cyberpowerpc desktop and I was not a fan, but this guy is comfortable and the RGB lights go well with the lights on my case.I work from home and its important to keep noise down while Im on calls and I couldnt be happier with this guy.
EEEE –
Keyboard is comfortable Love the design colors. Value was affordable. One of the best keyboards Ive ever owned Good for gaming. My husband uses this keyboard to play games and its easy to press. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family
oldpens2004 –
While I am not a gamer I needed a keyboard that would last vs. the membranetype switches on other keyboards. The associate recommended this key board and it is great. I especially like that the keys are back lit and have a great tactile feel.
GRBB –
Its a keyboard with a very nice feel when you are typing. I got it because I like to pound on keys. The recent just touch keyboards are not to my liking. This one has its origin as a keyboard for gaming and that means it lights up 9 different colors. Since I am not gaming I just turn off the lights, and bang away. But it does rotate through the 9 colors on command. The cost was modest. The banging feels good. I am very pleased with the keyboard.
Fungamer –
I like that you can change the color on the keyboard, and its really nice and does its job. The only thing that worries me is it seems cheaply made. Like i said before it works with no problem, you can change the color. It just seems cheaply made. I do recommend this item to a responsible person.
BillyD –
Nice, heavy keyboard. Very responsive. The lighting is great. I actually bought this particular keyboard because I had several choices of solid color backlighting. Beautiful with my rig. I like stuff to match
Sweet2thasoul –
The keyboard is heavy and durable. Its a quite keyboard and the light match with the light on my gaming pc. The controls is easy to use. I only had the keyboard for a month and at least 3 of the button went out. The great thing is HyperX did replace the keyboard at no charge. I just had to return via mail but it was a easy process to replace it. Over all I am happy with the purchase.
Fuzzler77 –
Great keyboard Keys are soft and smooth with every push. Im not a big fan of the click sounds and this keyboard does not make those sounds. Recommended. Customizable lights is a plus.
Eric M –
I think this is a great keyboard and is a great value. I chose this keyboard because I enjoy the way the keys sound and feel. The keyboard has a good weight and RGB looks good.As for the negatives, the keyboard lock only disables the windows key and isnt super useful. If gunk gets into the cracks, its kind of hard to clean. When I set the RGB to white, it makes a little sound. Also, there isnt software to customize the RGB. I still think its a good keyboard and would recommend it.
Jerrynmr –
I bought this keyboard to replace the crappy one I had at work. I was very pleased with the ease of setup, the colorshifting background lighting, and the definitive feel of the keys not mechanical, but a press of the key feels good, not too soft. It comes with different color modes, easily changed at the press of a button at the top left frame of the keyboard. Overall, I am very happy with this keyboard.
JiggerMeKnickers –
Before I got this, I watched almost every Youtube video about mechanical keyboards. Never had one. Seeing all these Youtubers tout on the greatness and the absolute necessity of having a mechanical keyboard, I went ahead and bought one. It was too loud to type on. Even the socalled quiet one was too loud. I usually use my computer when my my wife is already asleep so I dont want to wake her up with all the clickity clackity noise. But I want the RBG lighting Then I discovered this keyboard. It fit the bill. Nice colorful lights Very quiet. The feel of the membrane key presses when typing is what Im used to I dont have to learn to like something new and different. Its got useful volume buttons which I constantly use. Get it if you want colorful lights with quiet typing experience.
Jveezy –
For a membrane keyboard the HyperX Alloy Core RGB is awesome. The RGB looks great. Its is smooth, evenly lit, and diffused.Wife is happy because the membrane keys are quiet compared to the clickityclack of the mech keyboard it was sadly forced to replace.Doesnt have the satisfying tactile feel of a mechanical keyboard, but this membrane model is a lot more responsive than most. The price is right and the media keys are nice to have.
Joseph –
My old keyboard broke so I grabbed this on sale. It is overall pretty good. Its pretty heavy for a keyboard, its not very sleek in design. The RGB is not too bad, I found a pattern that I liked on it. It has some neat features like being able to mute or turn down the volume on your headphones with buttons on the keyboard. The RGB helps to be able to see the buttons at night. The braided cord is also welcomed. I wish it was a bit more sleek but Ive gotten use to it.
Illuminating –
Good keyboard for the avid gamer. The keyboard illumination is adjustable for both light intensity and patterns. Purchased for my 14 yr old son, six months later got a second one for my 8 yr old son.Improvements Ive heard so far, if macros and USB port can be added. Otherwise, this keyboard satisfies their diff gaming levels. Also serves as double duty for home school, illuminated keyboard makes it easier to see when typing up classwork.
Pistachio23 –
I love this keyboard The key response is great, very smooth. The colors are so cool Its so pretty and I like that the letters are also backlit. They keys are a little louder than I thought they would be, but thats easy to overlook. It is not quite as loud as a mechanical keyboard but close.
Ronny –
This keyboard is okay. Ive had it for about half a year and finally upgraded to something a bit smaller and more high end.The keyboard is really big. I just dont have the space for it. Thats more my fault than the keyboard for something to note. The keys are not very clicky…it feels like they are floating in water. I like loud clicky keys that really hit when I press them. This is not that. The lighting settings are pretty great and work well. There are many settings to work with.Very easily gets dirty. The light chamber is under the keys…obviously, but a floor under the surface of the keyboard. So eyelashes, dust, and hair easily fall into the keyboard and block the light coming through. Makes it very hard to enjoy. I had to pop the keys off and clean this keyboard more times than I can count. I dont eat at my desk but I can imagine if someone does how many crumbs and stuff would need to be cleaned out…Overall there are better keyboard but for 40 you get what you pay for. It still works after this long but Im glad I upgraded to something nicer.
Customerhuman –
I really like this keyboard. It helps me work at night when I cant have the lights on and wake up other people in the house. Its nice to be able to change the colours but honestly I only keep it unread because thats the easiest on my eyes at night
jpiddle –
Overall, Im pretty pleased with this keyboard. It has a nice amount of key travel and its pretty quiet. Its very similar to a cross between a mechanical keyboard which is really loud and a low profile membrane keyboard which can be annoying to type on. Its a very sturdy keyboard thats much heavier than I expected it to be. It wont shift around your desk without a decent amount of force. My primary reason for getting the keyboard was to having something thats backlit to make it easier to see in the dark or low light. It accomplished that task with three brightness settings off, 50, 100 and a wide selection of colors. In the static mode, there are five separate zones that can each be set to one of nine colors. I personally just used the solid color. The LED control is all in the hardware, so no special software is needed. This might be a negative for people that want to customize their keyboard from the computer, but for me, its fine. The reason I dinged it a star were because of a few little things I didnt like. Without the light on, you basically cannot see the keys at all with its design. The transparent portion that shows the letters blends in very closely to the black keys. When you are looking at the keyboard at an angle versus straight down, the backlight doesnt shine through cleanly, thus making some of the letters look a little weird. The keys with multiple characters where you use shift have the characters sidebyside instead of the traditional vertical layout. It slows down your ability to find some of the keys quickly, especially when looking at an angle Not an issue, but something else to note the white is not really white at all. Its that LED blue color thats commonly found on Christmas lights.
bob27 –
Very impressive. Type fast and quiet. Feels just like a mechanical keyboard but close to silent. Best keyboard ever used. Easy setup.
Emannnn918 –
I love this keyboard Not only is the price great but so is the keyboard. I cannot tell the difference between this and a mechanical keyboard. SO many functions and color options. The keys are pretty firm and not very quiet, just the way I like it. I recommend this keyboard to any new gamers or even for the office.
Realmofreal –
Pros,1. I got it on a Black Friday deal 10 cheaper.2. Its great for playing games and using my computer with the lights out and in dim lighting because I can see the keys.3. The keyboards letters, symbols and numbers have not seemed to rub off as easily as other keyboards Ive had.4. The RGB selection for programming the lighting is decent.Cons,1. I wish it came with a longer cord because Im running it from my couch to my computer. Too bad there really are any wireless RGB keyboardsnothing Ive seen that are practical. I had to get an extension cord, but it works. All in all for the price and quality Its reasonable and works well for gamingespecially at night and in the dim lighting. Its a good keyboard, but I wouldnt call it great. If youre on a budget Id recommend it, if youre a hardcore gamer perhaps spend more and get a high end Corsair model.
gamer8 –
Bought this for a great grandson and he loves it. Very easy to set up even for an 8 year old. No problems with it and get lots of positive comments on the beautiful lights. Great for gaming and everyday use.
highwayone –
After my Logitech G Series keyboard failed prematurely run far away from these, I was looking for an affordable stop gap until I had money for something more premium. To my absolute surprise, I love this keybaord. It may not be mechanical, but it doesnt need to be, working as well as this keyboard does. It may not not have some of the wow factor or premium features, but it works and feels fantastic. No replacement needed, Ill stick with this one.Bye bye, Logitech
Briana –
It has a very good mechanical keyboard feel. Very beautiful shining light keyboard. It is smooth typing. I love it I highly recommend. I use it everyday for my work from home job. No complaints at all.
miranda –
it was a Christmas gift for my mom because she has trouble seeing the keys when its dim. looked through a TON of others that all fell short one way or another poor quality, usually before being recommended this one and she LOVES it I am so relieved keys are quiet, easy to read, and she loves that she can adjust the color and brightness
TheSteve –
Used in a high security environment with low ambient lighting. Plug play with no trouble. Software compatibility with no issues. Raised keys and softclick platform. Less keystroke errors from fat fingers. Backlighting can be adjusted for intensity and colors. Substantial feel unlike cheaper brands.
katherine –
Keyboard works great with my MacBook pro. The windows key acts as the command key so I can use shortcuts like copy and paste. Volume on keyboard works with my mac. I wanted a keyboard that had a backlight and the different colors on this keyboard are cool. I like that its water resistant. Cord is long enough to give me plenty of slack. Im happy with it, seems good quality, hopefully it will last a long time.
jetapia22 –
I have been using my HyperX wired gaming keyboard for a few weeks and it has been great The keys feel very comfortable and are not loud, which is perfect for gamers who go live. Was easy to plug in and use instantly. My favorite part is the lighting option. There is various colors as well as multicolored choices thatlight up the keyboard. Would recommend for gamers of all ages
Craiken –
Quiet keys, very affordable for how good a keyboard this is. By quiet I mean you dont get that typewriter effect you do on mechanical keys you hear on a lot of gaming keyboards. The RBG lights are cool, bright but I usually just leave it on white.
CJM2 –
The keyboard is easy to set up. Just plug in the USB to the your computer and youre good to go. Its very visually appealing. The settings are easy to customize. There are media controls and an easily accessible game mode, which is convenient for online gaming as you can access controls within the game more easily. The lighting is very cool. Easy to control how the keyboard looks. There is also a setting for sleep or lock. The keys are very responsive and quiet. The frame is well built and stylish. The keyboard is overall well made and fun to use.
PaulG –
Was looking for a new keyboard for work as I use one all day. Wanted something better than what I had. The lighted keyboard is helpful at night as all the letter keys light up as well. Pretty much plug and play and you can change the lighting modes and can even lock the keys without locking the desktop.
Gagi –
Not a mechanical keyboard but the keys have enough feedback and travel to be good for gaming. It is also an excellent keyboard to type on. Did I mention it is quiet too.I was disappointed at first that HyperX RGB software does not support this model. However, the built key combo allows me to easily configure the lighting effect I want.
Drobertson –
If youre looking for a good quality gaming keyboard for your child, but want to spend a reasonable amount, then this is it. Gaming keyboards are quite pricey but I was very fortunate to come across this one at best buy. This is a great product and my son loves it.
truthsquad1 –
I bought this at the Best Buy at 44th St.5th Ave in NYC, thanks to a super helpful sales kid, I wish I knew his name. Anyhow, I wanted an inexpensive, backlit keyboard to use with my laptop which is my work station away from the office, aka kitchen table. not necessary to be wireless, I have a logitech K800 which is lighter and also backlit and wireless, but i wanted more travel in the keys, more like what Im used to, and this hits every spot. I love it. it is more like the logitechs of old than the logitechs of today. and, its half the price of the K800, and the K800, while nice, is fragile I was on my third in less than a year. I expect this one to go on forever, relatively speaking. i may even buy another one as a backup. it is quieter than any other gaming keyboard they had in the store. not silent, true. not as quiet as the logitech. but pretty good nonetheless. ive had no complaints, which is saying something considering that my wife used to complain that my headphones made too much noise I switched from open back phillips to closed back sennheisers, which cured that problem. this apparently lacks some frills that appeal to gamers, but im not a gamer so I dont miss them. all together, these are a great bargain. highest possible rating. and, special thanks to the kid from Best Buy who pointed me in the right direction, and even advised me to go for the less expensive model, which was the right choice for my needs.
Josh –
I first bought a razor keyboard which I did love, but the clicking was just too much. I wanted a keyboard that lights up because I get bad migraines and I work from home. I cant believe how cheap this keyboard is. I would easily pay double if I had to, keys are quite and smooth. I love it
MeMeMe –
I got this keyboard because it was similar to my sons. He has a different brand corsair, but its a bit bigger wa wrist rest. My This one doesnt have a wrist rest, so that is my one disappointment. It did take a bit to get used to because I was really loving using his keyboard. It does seem a bit small compared to my sons. Im not 100 sure that I love it, but for now Im gonna roll with it. I was able to use two coupons that I earned to bring the cost down. Had I realized that I had coupons to use before I was checking out, maybe I would have purchased the one my son had instead.

So far its great Of course you have the max color schemes and settings to choose from and music video control buttons built in, but another big thing for me is the soft and almost completely key stroke. It helps a long when youre hacking away on the Im key board for hours on end.

Overall this is a pretty good keyboard.Pros its quite, dedicated programmable rgb keys. Dedicated media keys. A Long usb cord. And supports Xbox with some limitations through the ui but that is Microsofts faults.Cons its kinda heavy and the kickstands are small and they dont do much. And no usb pass through so youll need your controller to hear if your only on Xbox.

Several RGB modes and colors, pretty soft keys for a mechanical keyboard. This is way better than a Corsair K55 IMO. If you are looking for an affordable gaming keyboard I highly recommend this one. Great job Hyper X

After several years of surviving my occasional near misses with spills, with the work from home situation I ended up spilling lemon water on my old keyboard. Despite mopping it up and drying it out, it wasnt working properly. Long story short I needed a new keyboard quickly.I prefer gaming keyboards because… well I game. This looked decent and got good reviews and I liked the RGB lighting. Its a keyboard, it does what it needs to, the keys are fairly quiet, it has good response and fades into the background like any good device does. It just works. It does sit quite high and it was noticeable at first but now I am finding I like it and its not a problem.Looks great in darkened room, and I love the different color options at the push of a button. You cant customize the colors, its all preset, again that seems fair and expected at this price point.

The keys are dimly lit and do not have good paint on them so that you can actually see what key you are typing… Seems really cheap from that aspect. However, it does make up for that in feel of typing with the keys… I am using it for business so the gaming aspect of this is not appealing to me. Keys have good travel and springy like a mechanical keyboard.

I am in love with this keyboard The colors are vibrant and just so much fun to have. I love that I can change between six color settings too I am not a gamer and I still wanted to buy this keyboard because of the lights.

Ive had this keyboard for a month, and its been working very well. Theres a handful of color variants and 2 brightness options. I wanted a quiet keyboard and its exactly what I got.Great for the price and hasnt squeaked yet, unlike my other keyboard.

I have gone through several mechanical keyboards and several different types of key switches. Of course, they are nice for show, but I have never been a fan of noisy clicks and clacks. I also do not like how the typical membrane keyboard feels. This keyboard however, is the perfect compromise. It does not feel cheap like a regular membrane keyboard, yet it is more silent than silent cherry mx reds. This is my second pair already which Im using for my office computer.

I was looking for an inexpensive keyboard with backlighting for my wifes computer. We returned it because it was difficult to use. For one thing, the keys stick out very high above the keyboard and we were looking for lowerprofile keys. She is a 2finger typist and could get past the key height, but the backlighting was terrible. More light leaks out from around the base of the keys than comes through the letter cutouts on top It was very distracting visually and made it more difficult to distinguish the keys than with a nonbacklit keyboard. To make matters worse, if you turn off the backlighting you cant see the keys at all. The cutouts of the letters are clear for lighting purposes, and without the light they just look black like the keys themselves and you can hardly see the letters I have a backlit, wired keyboard from another maker which has whitecolored cutouts in the keys, so you can still see the letters even without the light. In summary, we didnt like the physical height of the keys, but the killer was the leaky backlight and nonreadable keys when used without light. The lights themselves were easy to control, with various lighting effects and colors available. Most of the effects involve continually changing colors or brightness or both, although steadystate illumination is an option. The moving effects were interesting but distracting for actual typing. If you like that kind of thing and dont mind the glare surrounding the keys, perhaps you could find this otherwise inexpensive and functional keyboard to be personally useful

Wow, awesome Keyboard This is the first time I have ever purchased a good keyboard and I am hooked for life. Love Love Love it. Its solid, built great, and can tell it will last a long time. I also love the RGB Lighting. Very fancy looking. 110 Satisfied and well worth the money spent.

So pleased about this purchase Slowly incorporating Kitchenaid appliances to my almost 14 yr old kitchen. We bought the Kitchenaid 1.9 CF convectionmicrowave and not inly is it gorgeous, it is performing as I expect Kitchenaid to perform.Dishwasher was our first purchase and we are extremely pleased. When our microwave had its last dinner, we knew Kitchenaid was a given.Purchased a little bit bigger cubic ft sized microwave. Geek squad were professional, had great personalities and literally took out old microwave and installed the new one in less than 20 minutesI have no doubt that with proper care, this Kitchenaid microwave will give us another 14 years.Best Buy is NOT disappointing on 2 major purchases so far

Its a good keyboard it terms of the lights and effects. Theres a lot to choose from for colors and effects. More effects than I expected for 50. No complicated installation either, just plug it in and use it. But, it terms of overall durability, it leaves much to be desired. After a couple nights of use and Im not taking consistent use the space bar was already sticking. Also, the windows key on mine went out. Perhaps I just got a defective model. But, if you can find one that doesnt have those problems, by all means, buy it.

Its ok, I am sti using my old keyboard. Purchased this one, used it a day, back in box, put in closet never to be seen again. Very loud, keys slow to respond and clunky feeling, akward spacing between keys, and the color on KB will not stay static, keeps reverting back to a rolling RGB strobe. Would not buy again, did not even feel compelled to return it, thats how little interest or excitement it generated.

I purchased a gaming keyboard, but it was too noisy.. I decided to exchange it for this membrane…and it is perfect Normal key stroke noise.Reason not given 5 stars is that it does not come with attached wrist pad like the other gaming keyboards. Also HyperX must have an additional keyboard feet that must be a little bit bigger so keyboard will lift from the top end and corners… Adjustable and spare bigger feet are a must …

Purchased this Keyboard as the previous keyboard wasnt cutting it for remote working. After 7 months of remote working and the occasional gaming, this keyboard is still holding up and working well. Good Quality and good value so would recommend if you need a durable everydayuse keyboard.

I love this keyboard. For a gaming keyboard, its important that its comfortable to use and that the keys feel tactile. A lot of other gaming keyboards a very noisy. This one is the perfect balance of clickiness and low noise. The keys also feel a bit softer than most gaming keyboards.
BBcustomer –
This keyboard has been fantastic. Very vibrant colors and its very quiet compared to my last keyboard. If you work late from home youll want a keyboard like this so you dont bother everyone with youre clicks and clacks from typing.
Aaron –
Very excellent keyboard. Its my first time using these types of keyboard and its just very great. I just found out that you can change the speed of the rgb setting by holding FN and using the arrow keys key up for faster and key down for slower speed. You can also change the color for the breathing option FN arrow key left or right.

The keys are not mechanical, simple membrane keys. Similar to your generic office keys, they feel mushy when tapping on them. The good part about them Because they are mushy membrane keys, they are definitely quieter than those expensive keys that make a loud click sound when tapping. If you are looking for some quiet keys for gaming on a budget, look no further. The basic RGB lights are customizable from the keyboard, it does not need software to control them. My favorite setting is the game mode that locks keys that could kick you out of the game ex. windows key. Turn that on while gaming, and you will never have to worry about activating the windows home button ever again.

I purchased this keyboard given its hybrid e.g. not mechanical status.Although its not as loud as a true mechanical keyboard, its not exactly quiet. Switches are responsive and I have not had any issues in over 8 months of daily usage both gaming and working from home. Still, its probably not comparatively quiet enough to warrant purchasing this over something with Cherry switches. The RGB is pretty solid, especially at this price point.Allinall, a great value for the price.

Really like this keyboard. It makes working at night easy to not bother someone else by having lights on in the room. Easy to see everything and easy under the fingers. I would say the best I have ever had, glad I found it.
Wanderlust –
Good keyboard, pretty decent action on the keys. For whatever reason, it feels slightly more cramped than the ancient Razer keyboard that I was using for the past 15 years, but that might be my imagination. A solid value.

For Christmas, I bought this keyboard for my sister, and she is happy with this product. For the price you pay, the quality of the keyboard is amazing. It comes with internal alloy construction which gives it a heavy feel. The usb cable is also braided, not all entry level keyboards have this. Unfortunately, this keyboard does not have individual LEDs under each key, only operating its RGB system in 5 zones. To me though, the RGB lights are just a bonus. The keys are great to type with, it doesnt wobble like a lot of membrane keyboards. HyperX did a great job with the design quality of this keyboard.

The keyboard are good and guess a little nosy sound then mechanical keyboard heard are annoying make too much noise even on call. I like the feel pressing key just different then my HP keyboard different was was round and HP flat key. Recommended getting this brand headphone cancel best background noise. Noted keyboard sadly cant customize the color it only has preset button on left corner keyboard.

I have not used this for a long time, but it seems to work fine. The lighting turns off when the screen turns dark, but it can be turned on again. It has the keys that are needed. Having said that, I have to admit that I dont do gaming. The lights change color a little too fast in my opinion, but others may like that. Overall, it has worked well for me and I consider it a worthwhile purchase.
rayyshell –
This keyboard is worth it for someone who isnt picky. I am not a gamer and I just built my first computer with my boyfriend. Its not as clicky and has a nice tactile feedback. I love the color scheme and the numpad If youre planning on changing keycaps, this isnt for you. Overall, this keyboard does the job and I dont think I will ever switch into purchasing a new one

This is my first real gaming keyboard and I have to say for the price point Im pretty impressed with it It is a membrane keyboard but to me doesnt feel super squishy, and is still quite tactile and responsive. The onboard media controls are something I dont think I could do without now, and the RGB is lovely and bright. If youre looking for something HyperX on a budget I can definitely recommend

I needed something for live productions where lighting was bad in the booth. this achieved what I was looking for without the clicking sound of keys. Perfect. The only issue is getting used to the character font and symbols. In some instances the design having two characters on one key gets muddied visually.
Toasty –
While not silent, this keyboard is way softer in noise than my previous one was and I appreciate that a ton.I love the media buttons being available too. Thats a feature I havent been blessed with before and dont know that Ill ever go back nowThe color options are greatly varied the aurora one is my fave but I also appreciate that its easy to turn off the colors if my eyes need a break.Overall highly recommend

My wife made me get rid of my mechanical keyboard. She couldnt handle the noise. I thought I would try this one out. So far it has been great. Very quiet and very responsive so far. The colors are also easy to switch up. Great bargain keyboard.
Sammi –
I have had a few gaming keyboards in my time, and this one is by far the best The keys are smooth, the lighting is phenomenal, the size and shape of the keyboard fit perfectly on my desk. This keyboard really hit all the marks for me, and whats better is that it was only 50 Great for your setup if youre just getting started.

This is an overall great buy for a solid keyboard. It was exactly what I was looking for and the price range I was willing to spend. I find gaming keyboards to be very expensive these days, but this was in the nice sweet spot.It has good mechanical feel, not noisy and has good customization and colors. The spacebar is a bit high is the only real complaint I have here.
TotallyWizard –
I have this keyboard myself and we got this one to swap my wife to this keyboard after her Corsair board started acting up and double pressing keys. This board is excellent. Its got a good heavy casing and the keys are very responsive. It was easy plug and play with a nice quality cable that had a good length. The only downside is the lights only have preset colors and stuff right now. Hoping itll get on their app soon with customizable color settings. Other than the minor aesthetic issue with the lights this is a great keyboard that feels like its going to last a long time. Definitely recommend.
DetectiveHamHam –
It is perfect for my husband. He was wanting a good gaming Keyboard, along with a keyboard that he could use for work. This was absolutely perfect and I highly recommend. Also the lights are amazing.
Randy –
Bought this because I was sick of the small keys on a compact keyboard. I dont game, but this keyboard is awesome. Excellent construction, the keys are nice and smooth, and dont clack too much, but just enough to have a great feel to them. The price is awesome as well. Some of the best 40 I have spend in a long time.
35mmThrifter –
this keyboard is great, I use it to surf furry forums and it types so fast. love it when it keeps up with me as I sweatily type a smart comeback. plus the LED are beautiful to look at when cuddling up with my body pillow. Ive been told that the brightness of them reflects nicely on my neckbeard and add another level of grace to my good looks. in all love this. also really easy to clean from sticky messes. uWu

Great keyboard for the lower price. Its quiet and has spill resistance. Its comfortable enough to use on a budget as well. Only issue is you cannot program your own lighting sequence but you have a few options. But that is really nit picking for flaws.
GlamGlitterDoll –
This was my first time I purchased an RGB keyboard, so I didnt know what to look for. As a basic RGB keyboard, you have limited settings of what colors you can set it. The only thing that I didnt like about it was that theres light bleeding around each key. It seems that too much lightcolors are coming at you from this keyboard. I would have preferred a keyboard with light coming just from the letters typed on each key. The keys are quiet, meaning that this keyboard uses a membrane, an not those nice mechanical switches. For a basic keyboard, it does what it is suppose to do, type.

I bought this for my girlfriend to use for work. She wanted a good keyboard that also had the fancy led lights. Shes had it for almost a year now and has been very impressed with it. Quality is holding up after a year. Everything still works great. Great value for the price.

If anyone new to the gaming world and want to upgrade to a mechanical keyboard would recommend giving this one a try first. A sturdy membrane keyboard with a fast key response. Its not a mechanical but sure comes close to one in terms of performance on a budget.
