the device is well made and will ultimately be helpful. The instructions are not very helpful which ends up being trial and error instead of a simple point and push exercise.
James –
Didnt like the unit. would not lock on target. You could measure 3 times from same spot, and get 3 different distances, sometimes up to 50 yds apart. Eye piece was hard to look through. Distance reading was hard to see. Used for two rounds and sent it back.
wkilgore2555 –
Really love this finder
Dino –
Casual golfing. This item works well.
Rmo3552 –
Very hard to locate target and hold steady. Not easy to use.
NotWowed –
Its light and compact, fits in the hand comfortably. It doesnt have a stabilizer so minor shakes in the hand make it a little difficult to get a reading. It does work on the flag but you have to hold the button down and be aware that it will show two distances one for the flag and one for behind it. Be careful. It does provide a slope adjustment reading but Im not sure that its really worthwhile. Ive come to just use the actual distance and then my own judgment. Rain seems to interfere with the distance, too. The optics, though, are nice and clear. I use it with a GPS unit because identifying hazards is a bit tricky.
DB –
Bought it as a Christmas gift for a family member and former caddie. Havent received it yet.
BRADLEY –
Compact, easy to use. Finds your targets even though my hands are not the steadiest might have to spring for image stabilization next time. Huge improvement over my old rangefinder
Antonio –
This rangefinder is very accurate and easy to use. Well built and light It also comes with a pouch perfectly designed to wear in case you are walking. Certainly Nikon did a great job and it is less expensive than similar equipments.Buy it with confident Youll not regret it
Pat –
Seems accurate compared to my Garmin GPS. Like the slope yardages.Smaller than my old bushnell. Would have preferred a magnetic closure as opposed to a snap
RLP81 –
Product is great with speedy delivery, all at a really good price.

Pammydee –
My son loves it and feels it is of good quality He found it to be easy to use and accurate.

I bought it a few weeks ago and it has been fantastic so far. Though it does not whole lot of functions but has what I just need. It is super cost effective too. I would definitely recommend this to others.
go bingham –
Great product at a great price.
Ejgolf –
This range finder is very easy to carry and to use. Fits in my pocket or my golf bag. It is also very lightweight. And I like that the battery is not expensive and should last for the full season.
JAG –
Worked easy and accurate out of the box.

great fathers day gift for my husband. He loves it
Ted –

GeoStuff –
This is my third Nikon CoolShot…love everything about it and I recommend it for every golfer
paolo –
This rangefinder is excellent for the golf course, it is small, it has a battery that appears to be more robust than other rangefinders. It is difficult to control and it takes a couple of weeks to work the bugs out of shaking it so that you are focused behind the flag. You have to stay level headed and know approximately how far you are to determine if your reading is accurate. It can shoot places other than the flag, like sand traps, back of greens, front of greens, carries for washes etc. Overall it is a good piece of equipment at a reasonable price.
Zibby –
I use it every round that I play
Onesip –
it is not accurate at all. It gives you a different number every time
Boseairpods –

TJS in SJC –
My old V2 Bushnell stopped working after 10 years and I didnt want to spend 400 on a new Bushnell. I saw mixed reviews on the Nikon, but its got to be user error because it works great. Picks up the flag really quickly, cool feature of moving it around for 8 seconds, and gives the same yardage as my partners that did spend 400. Id buy it again.
Hayabusa –
It is easy to use
Ocean Palmer –
Very lightweight with crisp imagery, this device fits easily in the pocket and palm. Downside is that you have to have a very steady hand to keep zeroed in on your target. Technology is a beautiful thing and I hope this proves durable enough to last several seasons.
Tjfas –
Has been great in helping me figure out club distances and improving my game
aleste2005 –
Ive used the Nikon Coolshot 20 Gii a few rounds now. Its what I expected from a lower priced rangefinder. Its easy to use. Takes some practice to get used to it. I did notice some inaccurate readings because of the background of the flag. Its worth the buy if you get a good price.
Ted –
Good
Matt –
I was surprised at the size of this range finder. I love the built in slope that give you the actual yardage and the corrected yardage
stephen w. –
Easy to lock in distance. Love the slope feature. Good value for price paid.
Jeffrey –
the device is well made and will ultimately be helpful. The instructions are not very helpful which ends up being trial and error instead of a simple point and push exercise.
Texas Golf Addict –
I had an MG rangefinder with slope that was terrible. If I locked onto a pin 10 times it would provide 10 different yardages. By comparison this Nikon rangefinder provides the exact same yardage every time you lock on to the pin which gives you great confidence on which iron to hit. Really impressed and worth the extra money.
golfgoblue –
I do not recommend. Very small and not easy to use
J the golfer –
It was for my daughter for her tournaments.
BRADLEY –
Compact, easy to use. Finds your targets even though my hands are not the steadiest might have to spring for image stabilization next time. Huge improvement over my old rangefinder
Rick –
Great for the money
Jeremy M. –
So far, so good. Bought this for my 16 year old to use this coming golf season. Its a step up from his Callaway Izzo range finder that he handed down to me.
Chris J. –
Used a few times, distances seem to be accurate.
Hman –
This range finder is a perfect addition to the bag. Even though golf is on pause right now, we did get to use it for a few rounds and it worked perfectly. We used the slope feature as well as straight distance and it is very accurate. The device is smaller than most range finders Ive used in the past but I actually like that better. No complaints…
Tom –
Ive had the Nikon Coolshot for a few weeks now and have used it about 5x. It is easy to use and the distances have been very accurate. Works best when riding in a cart so you can steady yourself on the steering wheel or frame.
Viet L. –
Budget price, works great.
Sumit –
Very easy to aim at top of the flags and get true yardage including what the whole plays as with the incline.
Pedro the Golfer –
Surprised by the size of the range finder but it fits my game perfectly So far so good. Wish the case had a way to clip on to my golf bag
randy –
havent had a chance to use it yet but will update once I do. but the RBG price was to good to pass on
Dan –
First range finder purchase and I didnt want to shell out a ton of money. Used it three times already and its exactly what I need . Easy to measure and shoot yardages from the tee, fairway, the woods where I hook all my tee shots , etc.
Yessi –
Good buy. Works very well. Bought as a gift and user loves it.
purrrD –
Had a Leupold for many years and lost it on the course. Purchased the Nikon based on the positive reviews, convenient size, weather proofing and slope calculation component. Played several round and have enjoyed the accuracy and easy of use.
Brian –
I use to get distances to flag or trouble
bhs66 –
Works well with fast readings. A bit difficult to hold steady, but being my first rangefinder, cant compare to others.

Great rangefinder. Easily picks up pin when using the 8 second continuous mode. Within 1 yard of other bushnells when compared.

NDM –
It was nice and light weight, but very difficult to work and many times the yardage was completely off. Bought a Bushnell and love it. I would not recommend this product.
Pammydee –
My son loves it and feels it is of good quality He found it to be easy to use and accurate.
MJF –
The product is lightweight and easily fits in the front pocket of your pants or shorts. It is easy to lock onto the flag or other objects and gives accurate distances
David –
Easy to use and lightweight. Smaller in size than my old Calloway, and the only downside to me is the holder closes via a snap versus Velcro.

I assume this is great. I purchased it for my husband for Fathers Day and he used it on the same day. He said it was exactly what he needed.
Gary –
Avid golfer
johnr85 –
Difficult to shoot pin when trees in background, but if you use continuous mode you shoud be able to pickthe correct reading. Overall a good value for theprice.
RangeFinder –
The rangefinder seems to work fine. Maybe not as well as some in foggy conditions. The display is not as bright as some other devices I have used.
Turbo –
Easy to use.
jim o –
gets the job done
mike the golfer –
does not lock onto flag stick easily and sun angle gives it fits.
Bob –
An excellent product for golfers of all abilities. Good price point.
Yvonne –
Works great
Flojoe –
This product is far less than other range finders, the cost is perfect. An amazing range finder and great product.
melowing –
Is easy to use but am a bit disappointed with nearest object measuring. Misses the measurement easily and requires you to be more steady in holding the rangefinder to get the correct measurement.
Jeremy –
Wish I had spent the extra money to get one that vibrates when it hits the pin. Its really touchy and hard to know if you are getting reading from pin, or something behind it.
MJF –
The product is lightweight and easily fits in the front pocket of your pants or shorts. It is easy to lock onto the flag or other objects and gives accurate distances
CharleyK874 –
Particularly interested in using on practice range to sight in distances for each club. Also have a Garmin watch that measures to center of green, but this lets me fine tune distances when pin is elsewhere on the green.
Jersey Joe –
Item works fine
To me –
Great rangefinder. Easily picks up pin when using the 8 second continuous mode. Within 1 yard of other bushnells when compared.

JB –
Good product for the money. Wish writing was a little darker.
grayghost910 –
I usually went to the range and hit a few before going out and would guess at the yardage to the pins. After shooting the pins, I realized my guessing was off by at least one club. No more under clubbing. This thing works great.
William –
Too tough to pinpoint flag distances, when trees are in background
DOrlando –
Very reliable and accurate.
Big Daddy –
I wish the case had an attachment for golf carts. I hate using the drink holder as it is sometimes dirty. I lay it on the seat between holes.
JAG –
Worked easy and accurate out of the box.
Deano15 –

DRC –
Looks great and works right out of the box. Just adjust diopter and go. It is a little difficult to stay still enough to be able to lock onto the flag.
Vic –
You must have steady hands for best use.
Jeff –
No more between club decisions for me. This rangefinder is easy to use and very accurate. The slope calculation takes all the guesswork out of figuring how long the shot will play. Definitely recommend this to others.

Works well so far, though I did have an issue with it starting up on a really hot day. It was in my golf bag in the back of my car on a 105 degree day and I didnt think much about it as Id done this on several occasions, however, this time the Nikon did feel a bit hotter… It didnt turn on right away so I was immediately concerned that Id somehow it cooked it, but after 2 holes, it started work phew Ill be much more mindful of this in the future. Distances have been pretty accurate. I think Ill spring for the image stabilizer on my next one. Overall a good rangefinder

As a tournament golfer I was needing a rangefinder without slope and one that is light, small, and affordable. This definitely hit all the boxes. It is super simple to use and gives accurate readings. I also like the sleek design and how there is a velcro strap so it stays on your bag comfortably without any issues. Highly recommend this rangefinder for those who play in tournaments and even those who are just looking for something thats cheaper and does the job just as well

One of the most Important tools to have in the golf bag. Not only does it have the potential to save you a couple of shots each nine, but The Coolshot Laser Rangefinder by NIKON keeps you from unnecessarily rushing to keep up on courses where marshals monitor the pace of play.
golfgoblue –
I do not recommend. Very small and not easy to use

I owned a Nikon range finder previous to my Leupold which I wore out and regretted putting the old Nikon down. But this new one has such a small lens that its very difficult to see through. Especially if youre wearing sunglasses. Plus you must have the aiming cross nuts on or it will give you yardage for items behind the flag. The result is several tries for the correct yardage, thats if you realize the flag couldnt be as far as the first read. I could see myself forgetting to double check and then selecting the wrong club. I took it back for a refund.
Rocket –
This new model works well and has a scan feature.

Was looking for something to get the job done without breaking the bank. This does it.

Joe –
The rangefinder works fine but you need a very steady hand. Comes with case that is nice, its small compact does not take up much space. The price is ok as well, you can spend way more on higher end rangefinders. This why it gets an average grade.
GolfMD –
Awesome rangefinder, easy to turn the slope onoff for tournament. Easy to shoot nonflag items, Ive been using it at patches of grass at my driving range and works perfectly. Overall amazing
GREATGIFTFORMYGOLFER –
I bought this as a gift for my husband, at the request of other family members… all of the golfers in our family are looking forward to using this rangefinderMy purchase at Best Buy was seamless, with curbside delivery. By far the easiest purchase this Christmas seasonThanks Best Buy
James –
Didnt like the unit. would not lock on target. You could measure 3 times from same spot, and get 3 different distances, sometimes up to 50 yds apart. Eye piece was hard to look through. Distance reading was hard to see. Used for two rounds and sent it back.
Jastrz1 –
Its necessary to depress the button down twice to get the yardage.

Jeremy M. –
So far, so good. Bought this for my 16 year old to use this coming golf season. Its a step up from his Callaway Izzo range finder that he handed down to me.
Kadan –
easy, light, convenient one the course, my kids love it
Jeff –
No more between club decisions for me. This rangefinder is easy to use and very accurate. The slope calculation takes all the guesswork out of figuring how long the shot will play. Definitely recommend this to others.
Jeremy –
Wish I had spent the extra money to get one that vibrates when it hits the pin. Its really touchy and hard to know if you are getting reading from pin, or something behind it.
Doug –

Yugioh23 –
The greatest feature is the laser capability
Mikemo –
It is a very simple machine to use. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles that other more expensive ones do. It does the job. Gives a reading and thats all we really need. You dont have to be a brain surgeon t figure out to add distance for an elevated green.
Apple –
Very good product. Viewer is very clear and easy to use.
Tjfas –
Has been great in helping me figure out club distances and improving my game
Dan –
First range finder purchase and I didnt want to shell out a ton of money. Used it three times already and its exactly what I need . Easy to measure and shoot yardages from the tee, fairway, the woods where I hook all my tee shots , etc.
ellis2994 –
Easy to use, perfect for my needs.
mikeconns –
OK, not great. I find it difficult to actually lock on a target. If Im lucky I do, and I get an accurate reading. I dont use this much as a result.

johnr85 –
Difficult to shoot pin when trees in background, but if you use continuous mode you shoud be able to pickthe correct reading. Overall a good value for theprice.
Pfunny –
I have a GPS course map tool that I really like, but unless I know the hole location I often lack a orecise yardage to the pin. I also want to be able to get precise yardages to flags on the practice range. This rangefinder is an effective and relatively inexpensive choice.
SaraW –
Great little range finder. Not super fancy which is why I like it. Does its job.
Zach V. –
Nice product but in windy conditions difficult to get a good read.
Antonio –
This rangefinder is very accurate and easy to use. Well built and light It also comes with a pouch perfectly designed to wear in case you are walking. Certainly Nikon did a great job and it is less expensive than similar equipments.Buy it with confident Youll not regret it

It took a while to get use to but once we did it works great.
Paul not PGA ready –

Phil –
The product is fine if your hands dont shake. It is hard to lock onto your target. I upgraded to another Nikon product, 50i which has a built in stabilizer. PGA Superstore accepted my return and I bought the 50i.
Butch Cruz –
Difficult and inaccurate yardage.Difficult to lock onto to the target. When target acquired gives different yardage each time the flag is retargeted. Not happy with it and trying to get assistance from the manufacturer.Buy some other brand and model.
Toni JB –
Practice and tourament
MJ –
Works great for elevated shots.
None –
I use the range finder every round. I feel more confident playing with it and knowing my distances. It Was smaller than I thought. Takes a round or two to get used to the size.
Fran –
Awesome Works wonderfully Easy to use I have used this a lot
melowing –
Is easy to use but am a bit disappointed with nearest object measuring. Misses the measurement easily and requires you to be more steady in holding the rangefinder to get the correct measurement.
DB –
Bought it as a Christmas gift for a family member and former caddie. Havent received it yet.
Pete –
Reviews online said extremely shaky view
Djtyler34 –
Perfect
Chaz –
Works well Much better than my old range finder Very pleased
Yessi –
Good buy. Works very well. Bought as a gift and user loves it.
William –
Too tough to pinpoint flag distances, when trees are in background
Smokey –
Used it for the first time today. Found the range finder to very accurate.
Djtyler34 –
Perfect
Ejgolf –
This range finder is very easy to carry and to use. Fits in my pocket or my golf bag. It is also very lightweight. And I like that the battery is not expensive and should last for the full season.
Gamer –
It works in all types of weather even in fog. Would recommend

bought this as a gift and it was received very well
Gumbogolfer –
Great tool. Accurate and with the slope it is great
Bama Dougie –
The slope feature on this rangefinder was great. I had a difficult time locking onto my target consistently. Could be a shakey hand. With more practice, Im sure I could have figured it out
ddcmrc –
It took a while to get use to but once we did it works great.
Paul not PGA ready –

Apple –
Very good product. Viewer is very clear and easy to use.
PMG –
I bought this as a replacement for a 10 year old Bushnell. The optics are wonderful but focussing it on the pin is difficult as the very slightest tremor in your hand will result in a reading of background trees, rocks, bunkers etc. Its resulted in me often finding a sprinkler head or other reading after the first attempt so that I can verify the reading. Short answer is that I dont always trust the reading from the rangefinder, which is very sad and very disappointing.

Easy to use
Bill –
Picks up flags well. Scan feature nice when its hard to be steady. Simple clear display. Its all I need.
Jastrz1 –
Its necessary to depress the button down twice to get the yardage.
Anonymous –
Played around with it at home with objects in the yard to test the accuracy before using out for a round. This was amazing and spot on for an amazing price.
Alex –
Loved it
Wheeler –
It is accurate. Great item. Would but again. Would recommend
bhs66 –
Works well with fast readings. A bit difficult to hold steady, but being my first rangefinder, cant compare to others.
Andrew –
I bought it a few weeks ago and it has been fantastic so far. Though it does not whole lot of functions but has what I just need. It is super cost effective too. I would definitely recommend this to others.
RangeFinder –
The rangefinder seems to work fine. Maybe not as well as some in foggy conditions. The display is not as bright as some other devices I have used.
Thankful –
I assume this is great. I purchased it for my husband for Fathers Day and he used it on the same day. He said it was exactly what he needed.
Joe Golfer –
Easy to put the scope on the flag accurate readings
aleste2005 –
Ive used the Nikon Coolshot 20 Gii a few rounds now. Its what I expected from a lower priced rangefinder. Its easy to use. Takes some practice to get used to it. I did notice some inaccurate readings because of the background of the flag. Its worth the buy if you get a good price.
Par From Anywhere –
Its small and lightweight, easy to use. In hindsight if it was rechargable it may be better but Ive used it a few rounds and battery is fine. Price point was good for the product.
reqcleve –
Clear optics, accurate, but more difficult to lock onto the flag than my Bushnell.
ellis2994 –
Easy to use, perfect for my needs.
dannywilliambaugh –
This is my third Nikon Cool shot….. They have all performed perfectly and the thing I really like about them is I can focus and get a yardage with one hand. Also if need be I can slip it right into my pocket instead of down on the dirt.
Vic –
You must have steady hands for best use.
Pfunny –

Gfla –
Easy to use, dead on accurate. Quite the addition to my set of clubs
Jane –
Reasonable priced
Joe –
The rangefinder works fine but you need a very steady hand. Comes with case that is nice, its small compact does not take up much space. The price is ok as well, you can spend way more on higher end rangefinders. This why it gets an average grade.
JT –
Was looking for something to get the job done without breaking the bank. This does it.
transonic –
Does a good job getting distance overall. It can be difficult to get the distance on a pin as it doesnt have the pin lock technology, but it is very accurate. Very small and lightweight, the case is pretty basic but does a good job protecting it.

Love this works great.
NDM –
It was nice and light weight, but very difficult to work and many times the yardage was completely off. Bought a Bushnell and love it. I would not recommend this product.
