The hardware specs of this phone is good, nice snappy UI but with Xiaomi forcefeeding you their apps it can be a turnoff for many. The cameras on this phone are good especially for the price tag. Battery life is godly for a modern day smart phone. Now the main issue Wifi download speeds are atrocious. Streaming is fine, but the moment you need to download a new app from google play or any files from the internet it grinds to a halt. Apparently this is a known issue and some fellow owners have made their own ad hoc fixes but it would be nice if the manufacturer themselves get on with making an official fix for this.

Have read the reviews and sounded quite a decent phone for the price and have never had one before but had so many other phones over the years and I have to say after using it for a while before doing a review I have to say the build quality is excellent mine is the no dust under camera lenses version that I cant really fault it and battery life is amazing. Its feature packed has a really good app to transfer your old phone to it which does passwords and WiFi networks etc. The sound quality is great and plenty of storage is dual sim plus can add a memory card as well and doesnt use a sim slot. The only negative and its just as I am not used to it is how it feels in my hand and that is just because its bigger than my old phone. All in all well impressed and it holds it own against the big boy companies..

Bought this phone about two months ago which has given me time to get to know it well. It is my second Xiaomi phone and I have to say that they continue to amaze me with their value for money. This new one has even better specs than my first and operates at a pace that is both pleasing and astounding. The MIUI is easy to negotiate and very intuitive. The cameras are as good as I will ever need. Simply put, I do not know why anyone would spend many more hundreds of dollars to buy the opposition, this does it all at a much better price.

Product Redmi Note 9S. Reviewed after 1 month of use. Display is very smooth and clear. Touchscreen is a little too responsive often opening apps before I actually touch the screen and causing the display to jump to the next screen if I missed the icon by a millimetre. Downloads and opening apps is fast. Came with too many useless and unwanted apps preinstalled used about a third of the 128 GB storage couldnt delete. I dont particularly like the Xiaomi version of Android and MIUI interface but it did the job. Main camera takes fast snaps at excellent resolution even the selfie camera takes good photos. Performed all basic functions well. Fast processor easily accommodated all my multitasking needs. Factory settings will gobble through your data at an incredible rate so make sure you turn data off first if your plan doesnt support it.

Ads sneak their way in any chance they get. Sometimes they swap with the quick access bar below, very annoying. Also no quick way to see all apps like in other android phones.

I purchased this a month or so ago. I have it with my AT T unlimited plan. I have been shocked at how slow sluggish it is. I havent loaded or saved anything. Just wanted something with a bigger screen. I guess tablets arent being updated it seems practical accessories are not utilized. Anyone have better suggestions for another type tablet that operates smooth like a cell

Love the large sized screen and associated with that is the large battery which enables it to last 2 days before requiring recharging. Excellent service from PB and it was couriered to me the next day after ordering it.

I am IT challenged and dont like change so when my phone started to die slowly I had to get a new one that was not going to give me too much grief. This phone was soooo easy to set up, it transferred info from my old phone without fuss, and I could easily work out what all the symbols meant. This is a big deal for an old person like me The camera is really really good too

The cs rep said that since we are 5g now the 3g will no longer work …it inever stated that …Im furious with the whole situation.

My Samsung 8 fell and the screen went blank. I needed a phone urgently and quickly. Surprisingly found Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S 2020 model at PBTech much cheaper than most brands. Its remarkable and has 128GB and has more longer life on battery. What was impressive it allowed me to download all my previous information in as quick as time possible. for the money it is very sluggish and many of the settings cant be changed to something reasonable ie screen sleep time is 10mins max i want 30mins or maybe 60mins like all my other devices and it randomly locks up after its awakened. very hard to work with this handy sized tablet when it has a mind of its own.

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this phone and it has delivered on all fronts. The phone is quick and snappy, the camera performs well for the price range including solid night shots in manual mode and Ive not had any software issues. I was also concerned it would come with a bit of bloatware but there wasnt anything that couldnt be removed. I was a little surprised there isnt gesture functionality but apparently that will be released in an update. The screen also doesnt produce the most vivid colours, but again at this price point its still sharp and dynamic. The battery is a beast and over the couple of weeks Ive owned the phone it has consistently given me 2 days full usage on a single charge. he phone also comes with a basic rubber case for the back which makes it easier to grip and use. I would suggest looking youtube vids on the phone to make basic setting changes to get the best out of the phone like reducing visualisation load time in the developer settings. Either way Im happy with the purchase

i thought this tablet would be an excellent addition to my phone other electronics. it is slow sometimes just flat out does not respond. i have uninstalled everything but factory installed apps, completed factory resets worked with tech support. no progress. it is still slow performs poorly. it has no attractive features never gets software or security updates.

This item is useless even for kids .. not worth the 200 dollor from ATT .. and its not even that much in other places there like 100.. get tablet other palces and unlocked then use it for your serivces .. I regert getting this.. I will use the line now for phone.. very slow and even when your not using it it using the internet sevices bandwith.. I rather use a laptop to use with ATT .. ATT need to upgrade the item they they have.

That said, it does everything well. Battery life, for me, is all day snd leaving 45 charge. Thats On for six hours. GPS works fine with no internet connection. Apps are abundant like Excel, Word. Connection to cell for texting requires specific phone capabilities.

Excellent value for money, feels solid in the hand, good specs considering it costs 150. Would buy this over a Samsung Galaxy any day. Excellent battery life but it does have a huge battery so what do you expect. Occasional glitch in the software. Regular updates and plenty of customization to the way the phone performs and looks. I expect it to last longer than my Samsung Galaxy S7 which costs waaaay more, where the screen just turned black after 3 years because of a solder failure on the screen, the phone had not a scratch or dent. The xiaomi costs 150, same cost to replace the screen on my Samsung. Buy the Xiaomi, you wont be disappointed for the price

Great phone, the side thumbprint reader is really cool, much better than the ones on the back of the phone. Heaps of space, great battery life. The only thing Im missing is Google Pay, seems the phone has NFC but it looks like the Paywave thing isnt enabled on it, hope they fix that in a future update.

You get whats advertised, including a lot of bugs. Headphone jack on every audio platform stops pauses and plays and skips and rewinds songs. Clear data and cache and reinstalling do nothing so assume internal issue, also likes to pause songs and constantly tell you the time. Almost unplayable in some cases. Assume more bugs as company is only 10 years old.

My wife has had Sony phones but theyre hard to find in NZ now so thought to try Xiaomi out. Fast and responsive but the ringtone isnt very loud. Media and alarms is loud, but not ringtone. Fingerprint sensor has gone iffy and tends to freeze the phone. This could be a bug with MIUI as there is a lot of articles online with this.

I bought this as a replacement for an older Xiaomi Redmi model. A quick run down of my feelings absolutely love the camera. This in particular is the most notable feature. amazing wide angle camera macro modes no complaints with day to day performance great battery life as expected compared to last no NFC Again this Redmi is lacking NFC. I really shouldnt have to check phones for NFC these days, but if you are shopping for a xiaomi then you better check. The touch sensor on the side isnt really a pro or con. I dont really find it better or worse off because of it. However, it does have good accuracy which my last didnt. No surprises on the software if you are used to MIUI then you wont notice anything much different. Semi recommend, but watch if NFC is important.

The Samsung smt387aa has been a good device….. however I do not understand why Samsung has taking away things like usb tethering….. I was able to make something work but to the average user it probably would be a no go…. Samsung and ios is bad about taking things away that you need…..if you buy a device you should be able to use it the way you want…..that is the biggest problem I have with Samsung product…..

Is it a feature that music keeps pausing and phone beeps randomly telling me the time pausing music making it actually impossible to listen to things. Also doesnt come with an app interface you need to sort in settings, whilst typing this statement on the device it stuttered for about 510 seconds. Would not recommend buying this
